Above and beyond everything else Gen Padalecki is a life saver. She's one of the main reasons Jared is still alive today. Devoting your life to a partner with life-threatening chronic mental illness is no small fit. I don't think most people realize how strong she really is.

Jared virtual panel Sunday 22 Nov 2020
As with Misha, tried to type as he talked as much as possible. I did get interrupted by a couple of brief phone calls & I’m sure someone will post a video later today, but for now--
--Just got out of the shower. Didn’t do his hair lol. It is SHORT Y’ALL.
--Been a hell of a week, we all know why. Series finale. Shed some tears, watched it at his house, everything came flooding back, was really emotional. Wishes he could see our faces. He feels the love.
--Top 3 episodes and why? Series finale is his favorite, he is a fan of storytelling & looking at SPN as a whole the finale wrapped up things in a way that were meaningful and poignant and “wonderfully frustrating”. #2, Sacrifice. Another moment of seeing deeply inside the boys but they were flipped Sam thinking he was dying vs Dean dying. #3 French Mistake, doesn’t know if any other TV show could have done that.
--Was pie in Dean’s face scripted? Yes and he got to do it a few times! When Sam throws the pie in Dean’s face there is a passerby looking on, that is Bob Singer. It being scripted didn’t make it any less fun.
--How were the first days on the set of Walker? Thank you for asking, it’s been awesome. Strange but incredible. Feels lucky and fortunate to be able to see his kids in the morning and and at night, proud of what SPN was and hoping to recreate some of that with Walker. Learned so much from Sam and wants to do that with another character.
--Bad hair days? Puts on a beanie. Never learned how to do anything with his hair.
--Crossover between SPN and Walker, would Cordell and Sam be friends? Absolutely. Both trying to do their best in a weird world to make it a better place and hopefully ease other people’s pain. Sam and Dean found themselves in situations where there’s no perfect answer and Cordell deals with the same type of things.
--Fave Harry Potter book & movie & spell? Book--Deathly Hallows, Sorry, missed the rest! Oh Expecto Patronus lol
--Craziest/funniest bts moment? 2 moments, one where he was awaiting birth of first son Tom, scene where Sam is chasing Kevin around. Same situation where Jensen was waiting for twins--Jensen getting that call. Just a weird situation where something huge is going on personally while trying to act. Talks about Jensen not having his passport and it had to be all hands on deck to find Jensen’s passport and get him back in the states for the birth.
--If SPN all over again as a different character, who & why? Biggest part of him says he has to be Sam. He would be Sam again. But if he HAD to change he would be Lucifer. Mark made it seem like such a fun character to play. Also possibly Chuck, Rob was phenomenal.
--Would love to do/have reaction videos for cast reaction to reaction videos. (Me too, Jared)
--Had a hard time thinking about who he was going to be without SPN
--How did you start your acting career? Acted in middle/high school. Won a contest to be trophy presenter (pulls out surfboard award thing) at Teen Choice awards, met an agent & auditioned over tape. Was supposed to be premed in school but got Gilmore Girls.
--What is always on your Thanksgiving table? Turkey, as much as possible. Stuffing, pumpkin pie. Big Dallas Cowboys fan so would always watch Cowboys game and make awful turkey nachos (tortilla chips with Thanksgiving leftovers) that night
--How would Sam spend his time in quarantine? Giant library at bunker doing a lot of reading. Would probably use a pedometer to make sure he got his steps in for the day. Sam is an introvert.
--What country would Sam and Dean like to visit on vacation? Puerto Rico. Wishes Sam and Dean got their beach vacation that they had talked about. Not sure if the car could have gotten there. Maybe they could have found some floaties for it lol.
--Were any lines adlibbed or added by him and Jensen (finale)? Yes. In the barn scene when Dean tells Sam to keep going, it was written Sam said he couldn’t do it without you (Dean), Sam thought he should say it more similar to the pilot, which is what they did. First thing Dean said to Say was Heya Sammy and Sam was Dean? Sam thought those should also be their last words on the bridge. J2 tried to convey how they thought the characters felt in that barn scene especially. When Sam says It’s okay, you can go now, Jared thought Sam’s son should say the same to him at his death.
--Sam wearing Dean’s watch in the finale? Jared happy fan caught that. Jared thought it was something Sam would have kept and worn.
--Jared doesn’t catch the reference SamLicker81 lol.
--Jared had a lot of time to think about Sam’s ending, at first he thought it was jarring but how do you feel about anyone’s ending? Would you ever be ok with your own ending? There was a finality to it that no matter what happened it would be difficult to wrap his head around. Once he digested it, he felt it was the best way to tell Sam’s story. Sam tried to live his life the way Dean would have wanted him to life his life. He tried to do what Dean would have wanted. If Dean had come back 20 years later and saw Sam hunting he wouldn’t have liked that, he wanted Sam to live his life. That’s what they all fought for, for whoever was left to live as normal a life as possible.
--Any other props end up at Jared’s house? Yeah he has some stuff. His stand-in Jason had got 2 picture frames for Jared and Jensen, got copies of the last call sheet along with their marks (red tape for Jared, blue for Jensen), and framed them.
--Super excited about producing and acting on Walker, felt like he and Jensen were pseudo-producers on SPN but will be different on Walker, hopefully he can help guide the story in a way that’s best for the show
--Acting advice? Everybody is different. Acting is trying to be somebody you’re not...but don’t try to be somebody you’re not. Don’t try to be like another actor. Just be you and figure out what story you want to tell, remember you’re there to tell a story, commit to who you are and who you have been. There are things you’ve been through no one else has, so don’t discredit that.
--Fave song that reminds you of Sam? Carry on Wayward Son, especially having just watched the finale, it’s such a powerful song.
--Pre and post COVID scripts? They can’t fire me now! Biggest deal with post COVID script was the mandatory 2 week quarantine. There were going to be a lot of beloved characters in Heaven with us but it was just a scene or 2 so they couldn’t really ask Rob, Richard, Samantha Smith, Jeffrey Dean to come sit in a hotel room for 2 weeks for one scene. The Heaven Dean deserved was filled with people but because COVID it ended up being just Sam and Dean.
--One thing he will miss the most? The crew/family. Life long friends made over 15 years. He grew up a lot on SPN, been through so much and so much history with those people. It’s so different shooting Walker right now because with COVID there’s less human contact. Misses human contact (with fans too).
--How did you prepare to shoot Dean’s death? How could you possible prepare to shoot Dean’s death? We shot it in September, I had known about since June or July 2019, had been reading the script since February. Lot of time spent on set was trying not to cry. Massive massive fight scene, shot for 3 days but 30 seconds on screen. One day for after Dean’s been impaled so they wouldn’t have to fight all day then get emotional. Was emotional about that scene, didn’t want Jared to get in the way of Sam’s story.
--Did Sam tell his kid about all the hunting stuff? Yeah of course, told him all about uncle Dean, why he was named after him, and the importance of taking care of himself and not spending his life saying goodbye to friends and family and then his son just wanted to get a tattoo.
--There are tons of shows Jared wishes SPN could have crossed over with. Would have been funny to cross over with Walking Dead, for them to see John and he doesn’t know who they are.
--First people Sam would want to see in Heaven? Obviously Dean. Bobby. Mom. Sully. Sam’s Heaven is mostly Dean. He wanted Sam’s wardrobe from the pilot because that was Sam’s happiest moment, going on the road with his brother.
--If he had the chance to work with Jensen again (and he WILL he says, hopefully sooner than later)...Jensen has a standing invitation to come to Walker, but they will find something somewhere and it will be great.
--What weird or gross food do you enjoy? Jared eats everything and a lot of it. Except olives. Doesn’t really like chocolate despite his sweet tooth. Doesn’t like black licorice. Will try anything once. Loves spicy food.
--Advice for people with anxiety? One thing that’s worked for him is just accepting that it’s not going anywhere. If you’re trying to get rid of anxiety you’ll frustrate yourself. Talks about Eddie Vedder saying he sees his demons as somebody who’s riding in the car with him. Take care of yourself. You got this.
--Grateful for you guys, hope to see you soon.

The Niflheim Experiment Chapter 5
After five hours in the car Gladio was about to go crazy.  He needed a break, everyone had been taking power naps, but sleeping in a cramped car was not comfortable.  Ravus had not relinquished his driving seat since the episode at the abandoned farm house.  Content to stare ahead and ignore all of them, Ravus drove on.  Spacing out as the trees flew by, Gladio didn’t do much, until a small green sign caught his attention in the distance.  When they got close enough to read it he was barely able to contain his excitement.  It said one thing, Insomnia 60 MI.
“Okay time to switch.” Aranea announced.
“I will be driving through to the city.” Ravus replied sternly.
“Do you want to draw attention on purpose?” She sighed.  “Switch with Loqi.”
“Why would me driving draw attention?”
Groaning loudly Aranea leaned over the console and stared at Ravus, even though he didn’t look back.  “You have snow white hair, and you aren’t old.  You scowl at everything, and your eyes are freaky when you look directly into them.”
“There is nothing wrong with my eyes!” Ravus shot back.
“Sure,” Aranea drawled out, “care to explain why one of them seems to be a different color than the other?”
“I was born like that,” he huffed.
“Well, that’s great, but you shouldn’t be the first person someone has to talk to if we get pulled over.”
“Why exactly is Loqi better?”
“He’s blond and not whatever white witch color you’ve got going.  He also knows how to smile.” She finished leaning back into her seat.
When Ravus pulled off to the side Gladio was shocked.  Luna remained silent during the exchange; it seemed she was still pissed at her brother for his behavior earlier. Taking the opportunity to stretch Gladio carefully got out of the car.  Everyone else had the same idea and lolled about, not talking.  They could wander off unlike Gladio, who still needed something to lean on otherwise he’d fall over.
Boots scraping across the dirt drew his attention as Gladio pondered the idea of driving the car himself.  He could operate one in his current condition, though he was a little worried he might fall asleep staring at the dashed lines on the road whizzing by.  Deciding that was a bad idea he turned to who had approached.
“I’m not sure whether to be grateful or upset,” Ravus sighed, “no one is talking to me.”
“I’ll still talk to you.” Gladio offered with a small shrug.
Ravus hummed and took a deep breath.  “When do you think you’ll have a moment to discuss our conversation with Luna?”
Gladio faltered, he wanted to talk with Luna, only without the others listening.  “I was sorta wanting to talk to her in private.”
“I can understand that.  Anything to keep Aranea and Loqi from offering their two cents would be most beneficial.”
“Are you alright with Loqi driving?  You’re not gonna make a stink are you?” Gladio asked with worry.
Curling his lips Ravus looked put out.  “Aranea makes a valid argument as to why I shouldn’t be behind the wheel.  I’m still sitting up front though, just in case.”  He added with an air of authority.
Gladio was about to add more when Luna and Aranea walked over.  Luna hopped into the backseat and waited in the middle patiently.  “Guess that’s my cue to become one with the side of the door again.” Gladio weakly announced.  True to Ravus’ word, he did indeed sit in the front passenger seat.  Aranea had tried to make an argument about why it should be her, but one deathly glare from Ravus and she gave up.  She was obviously tired and didn’t want to deal with his antics.
Loqi drove well and kept quiet as they inched closer to insomnia.   Luna had fallen asleep on Gladio’s shoulder and seemed peaceful enough. When the wall appeared ahead of them in the distance Loqi finally broke his silence.
“How are we going to get through this?  I mean do we need papers, are we on vacation?”
“We’re going to a friend’s wedding.” Ravus offered succinctly.
“Who’s?!” Loqi blurted.
“It’s the best explanation for our odd parings.  Brother and sister, an aunt, a bratty nephew, and a 3rd cousin simply traveling together.”
“Who’s the bratty nephew?” Aranea asked with curiosity.
“Loqi of course,” announced Ravus with little preamble.  “Gladio is the only dark haired person among us, so he can’t be directly from the family.”
Gladio had his mouth open to join in, but decided against it.  Things were already strange enough.  For once no one disagreed, and when Loqi slowed down to talk with the guard he spun a perfectly believable story.  It looked like it was working until the man turned and went back into the guard hut.  The imposing gate in front of them remained closed.
“What’s going on?” Loqi asked.
“I dunno if they’ll let us in without ID’s.” Gladio lamented.
“If you say who you are then the chances of us getting sold out by the traitor become that much greater,” huffed Aranea.
“It might be a chance we have to take; otherwise we’ll be stuck out here.”
“How long is the drive to the citadel from the gate?” Loqi pondered.
“Nearly thirty minutes, if there’s no traffic.”
“Shit, the dude’s coming back, everybody shut up!” Loqi ordered.
They all listened as the guard explained that proper ID was required to enter the city, plus verification from the person they were visiting.  Thinking fast Gladio leaned forward to try and see the man through the window.  “I’m sorry we messed up the process sir,” he began humbly, “is there any chance we can call our uncle and have you speak with him?”
The guard frowned and was clearly debating the idea.  “I still need to see ID from you all,” he announced.  “Call your uncle and let me speak with him while you gather your documents.”
Before Gladio could reply a phone was thrust in his hand. Aranea stared at him with worry and Ravus, who’s phone he was currently holding, merely looked bored.  Licking his lips he held it out briefly for Ravus to unlock so he could dial.    Praying that someone would answer Gladio let the phone ring longer than normal.  Right as he was about to give up the line connected.
“Hello?” Came the pleasant response.
Hoping he could convey enough details in a short period of time Gladio launched into his speech. “Hey Uncle Jared!  It’s your nephew Gladio.” He could hear the sudden gasp on the other end and pushed forward ignoring it. “We’re all stuck at the wall trying to get in for the wedding!  Do you think you could talk to the guard and explain the situation?  I mean I would hate to miss the opportunity to surprise Iris on her big day, just cause we couldn’t make it to the venue!”
Gladio waited with baited breath, hoping that Jared wouldn’t launch into a million and one questions. Thankfully the man simply uttered a weak affirmation and went silent.  Leaning forward once again Gladio handed the phone off to the guard.  They all watched as he ambled off a few feet away to talk.
“Do you all have ID?” Gladio asked quickly.
“Yeah I had Loqi make us all fake ones right before we left.”
“Luna too?”  Gladio queried as he watched Aranea go wide eyed for a moment and shake her head.
“I’ve got one for my sister.” Ravus interjected.
“Why the h--.”
“We can’t waste time with that right now,” Gladio hastily replied, “I don’t have an ID!”
“You don’t carry one around with you in your wallet?” Aranea frowned, “That’s weird.”
“I don’t have my wallet!” Gladio all but shouted as he warily watched the guard, who was still talking to Jared.
Aranea went to response but suddenly looked rather guilty.  “Yeah, sorry about that, you do have your wallet.  It’s been in the trunk the whole time.”  Gladio didn’t have time to respond as Aranea quickly launched into another round of discussion. “We also made you a fake ID as well; there is no point in using your real one now.  That guard will call it in immediately.”
The flurry of activity that came next left Gladio in shock.  He had no idea what Jared had told the man as the phone had been handed back, already disconnected.  Their ID’s were reviewed and the contents of the trunk were checked.  After five minutes the heavy metal gate was opened and they were waved through.
“Should I call him back?”
“His phone was probably tapped.”  Loqi supplied.  “I wouldn’t”
“Who was that anyway?” Luna piped in with curiosity.
“Jared, our housekeeper. What if he calls back, should I answer?”
“No!” Loqi interjected quickly. “Though, why did you call him of all people?”
“I can’t call my dad or anyone else at the citadel they’d be overheard talking.  I thought maybe Jared might have a little more privacy at the house.  I’m also hoping he only tells my dad I called.   That might help us when we arrive.”
As they continued on, the wooded area near the wall gradually faded out to reveal the city.  The people and traffic increased as they neared the city center.  Unable to keep quiet for any longer Gladio blurted what was on his mind.  “How did we get through with all your weapons?”
This time it was Luna who spoke up. “They retrofitted the car before we left, to hide them in the undercarriage.  You were sleeping so you didn’t notice.”
“We may need to retrieve them before we reach the citadel,” Ravus announced. “That phone call had to have alerted someone to our presence in the city, even if this Jared only alerted your father.”
“It’ll be damn near impossible to get into the citadel if we show up visibly armed!” Gladio huffed as he leaned back into the seat.   “Shouldn’t we come up with a plan to get inside first?”
Aranea spoke up before the others could respond. “We risk the traitor moving first so we have to act now and see how far we get.”
“This is stupid, I’ll get taken away to the doctor’s and you’ll all get locked up, except Luna,” sighed Gladio in frustration.  “I thought you all had this worked out?” He fumed.
“We do have it worked out!” Ravus shouted. “We knew it would be trouble trying to gain entry so the best choice was to show up unexpected.”
“Unexpected is one thing,” Gladio snarled, “uncoordinated is quite another.”
“Can we stop fighting?” Luna begged.  “Gladio please, they’ve been trying to work things out, trust me.  You’ve been passed out for most, if not all of the conversations.”
“Didn’t you all think that it might be helpful to get an insider opinion?  Nobody believed I have anything of value to add?”
“There wasn’t time!” Ravus enthused as he briefly turned to face him.  “Gladio, time is not on our side, you must know this.  The traitor has to know what we are up to and now their suspicions have been confirmed.”
“You don’t know that!  Jared’s phone might not have been tapped.”
“Come on big guy, you know that isn’t how it works.  Think ahead.” Loqi quipped.
“So we seriously have no other choice but to go driving up to the gate?”
“The traitor will act, no matter what we do.” Ravus added solemnly.   “It’s best we make an appearance and work to shed light on the truth of the matter.”
“If we’re going into a trap I still don’t see why I can’t call my dad.”
“What if the traitor acts and makes an attempt on the king all because we called ahead.”
“You didn’t care about Regis yesterday I don’t see why you’re so concerned now.” Gladio grumbled.
Ravus growled in response and hit the side of the door with his fist.  “Pull over! We’re dropping Gladio off.  Then you can call whomever you like.”
“No!” Luna shouted.  “That’s not fair!  If you leave him I’m staying with Gladio.”
“Like hell you are!” Ravus yelled.  “I didn’t risk everything just to leave you behind on the six damned street!”
The car fell into silence after Ravus’ outburst.  Loqi even seemed startled by the turn of events, and simply drove on with his hands white knuckled on the steering wheel.  Gladio was paying attention to the route and was surprised when Loqi kept making all the correct turns to get them to the citadel.  Maybe they had planned something while he’d been recovering.
Now, all he wanted to do was get away from them all and see his family.  The tension had reached an all-time high and Gladio didn’t know what would happen when they reached the main gate.
“I want my pole arm.” Aranea firmly announced once the towers of citadel came into view.
“How are you going to hide it inside the vehicle?” Gladio asked with worry.
“It breaks down, I’ll leave it on the floor boards until I need it.”
That didn’t sound very promising.  Aranea was already planning on fighting.  Gladio couldn’t do anything to stop her; he still had no strength and was too weak to access the armiger.  Choosing to stay silent he sank further into the seat and started to fret.
No one else offered any comments or arguments so Loqi pulled over into a nearly empty parking lot after a minute.  He put the car in park and waited as Aranea removed their weapons from underneath.  Ravus got out and retrieved his sword.  It fit neatly in between the seat and center console.  Aranea true to her word dismantled her weapon and placed it on the floor boards.  Once everyone was back inside and the doors were all slammed shut Loqi drove off again.  Gladio could feel his heart hammering as they approached the citadel.  What had seemed like an impossible dream was becoming reality.  However, the outcome wasn’t guaranteed and he was getting scared that something truly horrible might happen.
The looming shadow of the building soon engulfed the car as they got closer.  Loqi somehow knew to avoid the main gate and instead went to the service entrance.  Luna had been correct, they’d been planning ahead.  Gladio didn’t realize he was shaking until the car turned down the access road.  Soon there would be no turning back.
Loqi already had the window rolled down when he drove up.   Leaning down to catch a glimpse of the guard revealed Gladio didn’t know him.   That was either going to be a blessing or a curse.  Before Gladio could register what was happening Loqi had begun talking to the man.
“We demand an audience with the king.  We are seeking asylum from Niflheim.  Please inform his majesty that we are traveling with the prince’s shield Gladiolus Amicitia.”  Loqi moved slightly and indicated behind him in the back seat.
The guard leaned down and blinked slowly.  “ID’s please.” He croaked out after a second.
Gladio could tell from Ravus’ shocked expression that they weren’t expecting that response. Loqi cleared his throat and clumsily went to grab the stack of documents they’d already compiled from the check point at the wall.   The guard took them and disappeared into this little hut.
“There is no way in hell they are gonna just open the gate for us.” Loqi breathed out tersely.
“What if they do? Then what?” Gladio asked.  He knew there was a second gate to get through after this one.  The security system in place included a moat of sorts around the perimeter.  Two tall fences with barbed wire atop running alongside each other.   The middle section had a single lane access road.  This was their first obstacle.
Aranea answered after a beat, “you tell them we rescued you and not to kill us.”
“I don’t know if tha --.”
“Shut up he’s coming back!” Ravus hissed.
The guard came up and handed the documents back.  “You’ve been cleared to go through, please wait at the second gate for an escort.”   The man said nothing further and simply walked away as the heavy metal door in front of them suddenly began ratcheting open.
“Do I go in?” Loqi asked quietly.  “Once this gate closes behind us escape becomes exponentially harder.”
“We can’t very well drive away now Loqi,” Ravus grumbled.  “The next gate is right there anyway, let’s go see if they will let us in.”
“Fine.” Loqi replied with a frown.  The car slowly crawled forward and jostled as it went over the speed bump at the gate.  “Shit, they have the traffic spikes installed under here.  I can’t go back even if I tried, the tires would pop.”
“Just drive forward and stop panicking.”  Aranea ordered.
“I’m not panicking!” Loqi hissed.  “I’m merely working to plan our escape should it be needed.  They’ve even got concrete barriers up on either side.”
“Not everywhere,” Luna offered as she pointed to a missing section on their right.”
“Something’s wrong,” announced Ravus. “Where are the other guards, I don’t see any other people at this next gate.”
“They said there would be an escort though,” Luna commented with concern.  “Why would he lie?”
“If it was a trap.” Aranea groaned.
Loqi suddenly became very animated. “No, no, no it can’t be!” He uttered in shock.  “That can’t be true.  There is no way that asshole is him.”
“What are you going on about?” Ravus insisted as he leaned over to stare out the window at what Loqi was looking at.
“Gladio!  How far does this no man’s land between the gates stretch?!” Loqi asked hurriedly.
“Up to the main gate about 800 yards away, why?” Gladio didn’t get an answer as Loqi violently threw the car into reverse.  They were all thrown forward as he gunned the engine.  “What are you doing?!” Gladio shouted.
“I saw him!” Loqi screamed. “The other fucking bad guy, I fucking saw him!” He was frantic as he maneuvered the car away from the gate house.
“We can’t go back! The spikes will wreck the tires.”  Aranea yelled.
“I’m not going straight back!” Loqi spit out as he turned sharply to fit in between gap in the barriers Luna had noticed earlier.
Gladio was about to tell him he was crazy when movement behind the guard tower caught his attention. The hulking figure of the captain of the guard soon came into view.  “That’s captain Drautos he’s a good guy!” tried Gladio as he held onto the seat.
“He’s a captain?!” Loqi wailed, “Dear six no wonder you all didn’t notice.”
“He’s not a bad guy!” Gladio yelled again.
“That’s Glauca! He’s the ultimate bad guy!”
“Guys they have a car and are chasing us!” Aranea exclaimed with wide eyes while pointing out the window.
Loqi hadn’t noticed since he was facing the wrong way to drive.  He turned and yelled loudly.  The car jerked as he worked to maintain control.  Spinning around once more he began driving faster.  “We need to get the hell outta here, he’s gonna murder us all.”
“How do you know it’s him?!” Ravus asked as he worked his sword out from in between the seat.
“I know I saw him once talking to the emperor!” Loqi breathed out in a rush.  “It was an accident, he had his helmet off, and it didn’t click until I saw him now.  But that’s not important right now guys!  Help me get outta here!”
Gladio was thinking fast, it’d been a long time since he’d been out on this side of the citadel.  The next gate Loqi was speedily approaching would have the same traffic spikes.  Maybe if they got into the main grounds they could get to the king before Drautos got to them. He was about to offer up the idea when a blue flash off to the side caught his attention.
It was actually two blue flashes, one slightly behind the other.   Gladio recognized the first blue blur as the slightly hunched form of his friend.  The crown prince of Lucis was currently warping like a madman towards their car.
“Aranea open your door!” Gladio demanded.
“Wha?”
“Just do it!!” He yelled.
Thankfully she wrenched the door open just in time.  The prince had managed to clear the fence and was now next to the car.  Gladio could see him struggling to keep up.  Consecutive warps were exhausting and he was surprised Noct was still able to stay with them.  Leaning back out of the way proved the right choice as a sword came whizzing by his head as second later.
The overwhelming surge of emotion that hit Gladio next was surreal.   There, trembling in his arms and sprawled across the seat was Noct, in the flesh and blood.  Without a second thought he hugged him fiercely.   The prince wasn’t able to communicate clearly but he at least was able to hug back.
“Th--thought you were dead!” Noct managed to gasp in between breaths as he rested limply in Gladio’s arms.
“I’m okay.” He choked out. The heartfelt moment was immediately shattered when Ravus shouted a frantic warning.  Gladio barely had time to react when the car swerved violently and slammed into something.   Holding onto Noct with one arm, he reached out and hugged Luna close with the other.  Gladio was disoriented and could only do what he knew best.
Shield.

When You Least Expect It: Part Six
Jensen x Musician!Reader
Tumblr media
Also featured this chapter: Jared Padalecki & Briana Buckmaster
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6
A/N: This is a slow burn fic that I have been working on for a while. Its a story I wrote for myself and just wanted to share with everyone. Yes, the “Dee” in the story is who you think, but there is no intended hate on her or their actual marriage. It is a work of fiction, that is all. Part five is from BOTH POVs. There is also a playlist to go along with the series.  Series Playlist: “When You Least Expect It” (Spotify).
Beta’d by @closetspngirl who has contributed so much to this fic! Thank you for not only indulging my lunacy but encouraging it with gusto!
Chapter Summary: The fall out from New Year’s Eve isn’t exactly what Y/N had hoped for but after some counsel from a friend, she makes a rash decision that could either be the answer to her prayers or be the beginning of her nightmare.
Chapter Warnings: Angst (We’re sorry. Kinda.)

Y/N barely remembered the ride home. She remembers Bri parking and walking her to the door, but the ride itself was a blur. She was sad and confused, but mostly angry with herself for running out on Jensen. She just kept thinking if they hadn’t stopped, if she would have just not been a hot mess for a second, she could have stayed, then he would be the one bringing her home.
“Come on, you go up and change, and I’ll make some tea.”
“Hm?” Y/N asked as Bri’s voice pulled her back from the dark winding alley of what if’s.
“Tea?”
“Oh, yeah. Help yourself. I have a bunch of different kinds in the cabinet,” she replied, vaguely pointing towards the kitchen.
“Ok,” Bri said, and guided her towards the stairs. “Go up and get comfy. If you got a pair of sweats I could borrow, I’d love ya forever. This dress is cute and all, but I believe the rest of the evening calls for comfort.”
“Bri, you don’t have to stay. I feel bad making you leave the party. I’m sure things were just getting started.”
Bri waved her off. “It’s fine. I’d much rather be on that couch over there talking to you with something warm and soothing than getting drunk and dealing with handsy men.”
“I thought you were married,” Y/N chuckled as she climbed the first two stairs.
“Who do you think I was talking about?”
Y/N laughed and kept climbing. “I’ll bring you down something.”
“Bless you!” Bri called after her before she disappeared to the second floor.
Y/N walked into the bedroom, her luggage still packed from her trip home; the clothes she wore on the plane still in a heap on the floor at the foot of the bed. The bags her dress and accessories had come in were in a crumpled pile in the middle of her comforter. Slowly, she unzipped the dress and laid on the chair in the corner of the room. One by one she removed all her jewelry, except the necklace Jensen had given her. For the second time that day she stared at her reflection and was disgusted with what she saw looking back.
“What the fuck is wrong with you,” she asked herself softly. She closed her eyes, not wanting to see her face any longer, or the tear-streaked mascara that currently painted her cheeks. She concentrated on clothing, then found an extra pair of sweats and a T-shirt for Bri. The thought of the woman downstairs currently making tea made her feel a little better, and knowing she wouldn’t have to manage this night alone, helped to calm her nerves just a smidge.
When she returned back to the kitchen there were two mugs on the island, with tea bags ready for steeping. Y/N handed Bri the clothes and when she left to change, Y/N continued fixing the tea. She tried to just focus on that for the moment, and not the line of questions her brain wanted to throw at her. Y/N knew she’d be answering those exact questions from Bri any minute now, so why bother going through it twice?
“So much better, thank you,” Bri moaned as she came back into the kitchen. “This is a great place you got here.”
“Isn’t it? I told him it was too much house for me, but…”
“He insisted.”
“He did.”
“Of course, because that’s Jensen.”
“I know,” she sighed and stopped what she was doing to rest her hands on the edge of the counter, her head falling down to hang between her arms.
“Y/N, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you,” Bri said and was at her side with a hand gently laid on her back.
“You didn’t Bri. I’m just so mad at myself right now. You’re absolutely right. That’s just... Jensen. Generous and overly kind. He is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met.”
“Agreed. So, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s the problem? I know I was sort of teasing you about it earlier, but I wasn’t kidding when I said I saw you two walk in. Anyone that looked at the two of you and thought you were just friends would be crazy to think that.”
“Or in denial,” she added, making Bri laugh.
“Or that.”
Y/N pushed off the counter and grabbed her mug. Bri followed suit as they transitioned to the living room and sat on opposite ends of the couch. Y/N sipped at her tea, and while it offered the calming comfort she needed, she still regretted that it wasn’t another shot of bourbon with Jensen at the bar.
“Seriously though,” Bri said after placing her tea on the end table. “What happened? I know we’re new friends, and I don’t want to be intrusive, but when you run out of a room like that, leaving a man that fine standing there with his heart in his hands… there’s gotta be a reason.”
Y/N was quiet. She could feel Bri’s eyes on her but kept hers cast down into the cup as if she was trying to read tea leaves.
When she did finally answer, her voice was raspy and small. “There’s a reason.”
“Do you want to--”
Y/N nodded. “It’s not a question of whether I want to talk about it or not, I think I need to. Especially to him… but where do I start?”
Bri considered this and shrugged. “The beginning?”
“Might as well,” she sighed. “But that level of… truth. That amount of vulnerability, how do I know I’m trusting the right person with it? How do I know that Jensen wouldn’t use it again me, or judge me, or--”
“Because that’s not Jensen. Honey, look…” Bri slid along the couch to get closer to her and rested a comforting hand on her knee. “We all have a past. We all have trauma and baggage… exes…”
Y/N’s head snapped up at this, confirming Bri’s already established suspicions on the reasoning for her quick departure.
Her voice was still barely above a whisper. “I know.”
“But,” Bri continued, “at some point, you have to realize that all that crap you carry along with you, is only going to weigh you down. It won’t let you actually rise up to experience better things. And, as far as knowing who you can trust, I think you already know he’s different. I think that if you didn’t, you wouldn’t be here in the first place.”
“You’re right… he is different. I know that. I’m just a fucking coward who doesn’t know what to do.”
“You’ll figure it out. I know it’s not always as simple as follow your heart. Especially not when that heart has been pulled out, torn to shreds and glued back together with Elmer’s as I suspect yours has. So, before you make up your mind in any way, you need to figure out what’s most important. For you.”
Y/N sipped at her tea and was grateful for Bri’s sudden appearance in her life. There were a lot of things she was unsure about, and the way that Bri could offer counsel without judgment or telling her what to do was not only greatly appreciated, but much needed.
“I will say one thing though,” Bri continued, and when she sat up straighter on the couch, Y/N worried for a moment that she was wrong and the barrage of judgment would begin. “I may not be as close to Jensen as say, Jared and Robbie, but I’ve gotten to know him well over the last couple years. That man is as genuine as they come. There’s not an ounce of pretension or malice in him. He’s been through it, too.”
“Dee?” she asked hesitantly.
“Yeah, and others. I can see he likes you; everybody can see that he likes you. All I’m saying is, if he likes you, he means it. I doubt he would go above and beyond for just anyone. He’s had his walls up, too. So maybe, instead of second guessing yourselves, you both need to start taking those sledgehammers and do some work, hmm?”
Y/N knew Bri was right, she had a lot of work to do. The most important of which was to call Jensen and apologize. The problem with that was she wasn’t sure what else to say, other than she was sorry for leaving him the way she did. The same fears and concerns were still there, festering due to years and years of insecurity, distrust, and mistreatment. Her disappearing act was due more to herself than to Jensen, and he needed to know that; if he would even still talk to her.
“I should call him,” she said, more to herself, but Bri nodded along with her.
“Yes, you should.”
From the kitchen, the sound of Y/N’s cell phone ringing made them both sit up straighter and start laughing.
“Well, if that’s not perfect timing…” Bri giggled excitedly. “I bet it’s him calling to check on you!”
The thought made Y/N’s stomach both drop and flutter with excitement. She put her tea down and slowly walked into the kitchen, almost afraid to pick it up out of her purse and answer it. By the time her fingers were able to retrieve it from the bottom of her bag, it had stopped ringing. She brought it with her into the living room and once she was back on the couch, she felt brave enough to swipe up and see who it had been.
One Missed Call
One Missed Text
Y/N saw it wasn’t Jensen that had tried to reach her, but Nathan. If there was a word for the feeling of both being disappointed and relieved at the same time, she didn’t know what it was, but that’s exactly how she felt. She wouldn’t return the call, but she did read the text after she made sure her read receipts were turned off.
>>Sorry I called so late. I know you were at your work thing, just wanted to say Happy New Year. I hope this is the year we can find our way back to being friends again. Call me soon, ok?
“From Jensen?” Bri asked eagerly. “What did he say?”
“Not Jay, Nathan.”
“Nathan?”
“The ex.”
“Oohhh,” Bri said, elongating her response and leaned back into her corner of the couch. “So, the complication has a name.”
Y/N looked up at her and wasn’t sure how to answer. The longer she just looked at Bri and didn’t speak, the more she just wanted to cry. In the years since Nathan had left, many tears were spilled and at some point, she’d had enough. A switch was flipped in her, and she went from one extreme to another; having gone two years without one of her sobbing, snotting breakdowns. Now there was one lurking, she could feel it bubbling up from the depths of her heart; the parts she’d closed off to just about everyone. Sitting with a stranger, in a strange city wasn’t the best time for it, despite the fact that Bri was starting to feel like an old friend.
“Yeah,” she sighed. “He, uh… he just recently came back into my life and…” she didn’t know how to finish it because she thought her feelings about him had resolved. Clearly, she had been wrong. Nathan had been terrible to her in the last year they were together, but before that… there had been decades of good times. Could she really just walk away from all that? Nathan was one of the reasons that made her walk away from Jensen, she knew that. Now, Y/N needed to understand why Nathan was on her mind at all.
It wasn’t hard to sense that Y/N was going to open the flood gates, but Bri could also tell that it was hard for her to trust that she’d be safe enough too. Y/N’s eyes were brimming with tears and the way her bottom lip was quivering just trying to hold it in, broke Bri’s heart. She swung her legs to the floor and motioned for Y/N to come and sit closer beside her.
“Come on… you gotta let it out, honey.” Bri rested her arm along the back of the couch and watched as Y/N slowly moved along the couch and curled up in the crook of her arm. “Just let it go. And when it’s all out, we can talk about it, or not. But you can’t deal with anything until you just let it go.”
That’s just what she did. And when she was done, having soaked through part of her new friend’s shirt, Y/N fell asleep with a new understanding of what it means to truly be vulnerable.

The pain in Jensen’s head woke him before the afternoon sun did. There was no use in trying to remember how much he drank, just that it was somewhere in the vicinity of a bottle of bourbon and maybe a couple tequila shots for good measure. When he was finally able to command his body to move, he pushed himself up on his elbows and waited for the thumping in his brain to stop. Of course, it didn’t.
“Motherfucker…” he groaned, finally able to sit up a little more. Within minutes, he was fully sitting, knees pulled up and his arms around the loose sheet covering him. His chest was bare, and he could feel the linen against his thighs, telling him that he was sans pants, as well. Trying to remember how he ended up Jared’s guest room, he rested his forehead against his knee and left it there. He knew he had to keep moving towards getting up, dehydration was imminent, yet as much as he demanded his body to function it refused to listen.
A soft knock at the door was what finally got him to lift his head.
Thump, Thump, Thump…
“Yeah,” he called out, though his throat was too dry to give it any oomph. “Yeah!” he tried again, this time seeing the door crack open as he winced at the burn it caused.
“You decent?” Jared asked and paused before coming in any further.
“Am I ever?” he quipped and groaned again when Jared came all the way into the room.
“Nope. Here, I thought you could use this.” Jared offered a bottle of water which Jensen took gratefully. “You hit the bottle pretty hard last night, man. Surprised you’re upright, to be honest.”
“I am? Cause in my mind I’m still laying down and passed the fuck out…” He twisted off the cap and sipped at it slowly. He’d learned his lesson a long time ago about the benefits of slowly hydrating.
Jared waited for him finish his drink and rest back against the headboard. “So, wanna share as to why I found you in the game room with an empty bottle of Jim Beam?”
“Nope,” he said again and went back to the water.
“Alright, at least tell me if it has anything to do with why you were alone and not with Y/N?”
Jensen’s eyes looked up quickly, the movement of which made black spots appear behind them. He blinked them away and brought his fingers to his forehead. “Can you give me like ten minutes to just remember where I am before you start the Spanish Inquisition?”
Jared sighed heavily and knew that his friend was simply stalling. “Dude…”
“Fine. Yes, it has to do with her, alright?” Jensen replied sharply.
“What happened?”
“I just said I didn’t walk to talk about it.”
“If I were anyone else, you could get away with that. But I know you. If you don’t talk about it now, you’ll bury it and all that bullshit. Then it festers and you act like an ass. So, talk.”
Jensen picked his head up and glared at Jared. Of course, he wanted to bury it; he felt humiliated and angry. He didn’t want to admit to what happened, not because Jared would judge him, but because he didn’t want to acknowledge his own mistakes.
“Y/N and I kissed at midnight,” he said flatly.
“Ok, and?”
“It quickly got… heated.”
“Oh,” Jared breathed and sat on the edge of his guest room bed. “I see. And then?”
Jensen shrugged his entire face. “Briana walked in. Y/N got… I don’t know, spooked? Then she ran out. Last thing I remember is Gen popping in to say that Bri was going to take her home.”
Jared leaned towards Jensen and inhaled, scrunching his nose at the smell of liquor still oozing from his pores. “Then you hung out with Jim and... José, apparently.”
“I guess, yeah.”
Jared mulled everything over in his head, but couldn’t quite grasp it. “I have so many questions…” he said with a snort, but when he looked back at Jensen’s expression, his smile faded. “Are you alright?”
The question hit Jensen harder than he expected. Was he? No. Clearly not, if he proceeded to drink as much as he did after she left.
“Honestly, I don’t know what I am right now except hungover.”
“Did you try to call her? Text? Anything?”
“No. I didn’t know what to say.”
“How about, what the fuck?”
Jensen snorted a laugh. “That may not have gone over well.”
“Jay, she ran out on you for no reason--”
“I’m sure she had a reason,” Jensen interjected.
“I like Y/N, but, maybe trying to hook up with her now may not be the best idea,” Jared said carefully. He wanted to help his friend, but he also wouldn’t enable him to make stupid choices on a whim.
“It wasn’t planned, Jar. It was a New Year’s kiss. That’s all.” He was lying and he knew it. That was anything but just a New Year’s kiss. If Briana hadn’t walked in, he’s fairly certain the night would have taken a much different turn. Not that he blamed Bri, there was that pause right before she walked in where Y/N spoke his name…
‘The way she said it, Jesus Christ...’ he thought as he rolled his head back again and closed his eyes. Jensen pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers and prayed for the pounding in his brain to stop. He just needed five minutes of quiet to think, but his relentless thoughts both of the pain, and how she felt pressed against him, wouldn’t be denied.
“That’s all?” Jared laughed sarcastically. “Ok, you keep telling yourself that, champ.”
“Bite me.”
“I’m not trying to be an asshole, I swear. But you’re my best friend and I’ve seen you go through a lot of bullshit because of a woman. I just don’t want to see it happen again, especially with some girl you barely know just because you’re lonely.”
“I’m not lonely,” Jensen bit back defensively, even though he was once again lying to Jared and himself. He could tell that Jared didn’t buy it anyway. “At least not like… all the time.”
“You work like a dog, travel constantly, go from one empty apartment to another. The only time you aren’t alone is when you’re working on set. That’s partly why you started this whole project, right? To not feel lonely after Dee left? But then I had other shit to do, so did Robbie and Jason…and it left you alone, all over again. Until you met Y/N.”
“So?”  he shrugged. He was starting to feel frustrated but didn’t want to take it out on Jared because his intentions were pure, even if they were annoying the shit out of him.
“So? Come on, man. Don’t be an ass. She’s gorgeous, she’s talented, she’s creative, smart and she’s just as wrapped up in the Brewfest as you are. How could you not want to take it further? Besides, be honest… how long has it been?”
“Since?”
Jared rolled his eyes and gave him the ‘give me a fucking break’, look. “You’re gonna make me say it? How long since you got laid?”
“Seriously?”
Jared nodded. “Yeah, seriously. I’m sure it’s been a while. Add that to the fact that you end up at a party with a pretty girl who looks at you like you hung the moon, then you have some drinks. Maybe she flirts with you a bit, makes you feel good. Oh, let’s not forget running into your ex, and then having said pretty girl stand up for you.”
“Oh shit… I forgot about that,” Jensen groaned. “What a fucking night…”
“My point is--”
“I get your point.”
“Do you?”
“Yes. Now shut up and let me die.” Jensen let his body slide down into the mattress and covered his face with the other pillow.
“I guess I’ve tortured you enough for now,” Jared said and patted his friend’s foot as he stood up from the bed. “We got food downstairs if you want. Gen and the kids are heading off to see a movie, but I’ll be down there if you want to talk, ok?”
“Mmmmm,” Jensen growled, and Jared took that to mean, ok.
When Jensen heard the door click softly, he moved the pillow off his face and sighed deeply. Exhaling the air slowly through his lips, he allowed his eyes to close again and conjure up Y/N’s image. He thought of how she looked when she threw the darts and then celebrated hitting the target. He remembered how her skin felt when his hand rested on her bare back, and the look in her (y/c) eyes right before he finally kissed her.
Despite the hangover and despair his body felt, he felt his cock twitch at the thought of kissing her again. He tried to make himself stop, but it replayed in his mind as if it were a movie on a screen. “Fuck,” he growled and forcibly pushed her from his mind as the disappointment set in that it all ended so suddenly.
Jensen threw off the covers angrily and stood up from the bed, waiting for his knees to lock and safely support his weight. On the floor to his right were the clothes he’d worn the night before. He picked them up and went to get dressed, but the second he pulled the shirt over his head, he got a lingering whiff of sandalwood and lilac… Her.
“FUCK!” he barked again and ran his hands through his hair then back down over his face.
There was so much to think about and consider; not just the things that Jared said, but the things Jensen knew to be true. Yes, he had been lonely, and yes, Dee had crushed him… but hadn’t he deserved that? He wasn’t an angel in their time together; not that he’d cheated on her or anything of the like. He had, however, been withholding sometimes; maybe treated her like she wasn’t as important to his life as she should have been. Yet, when Dee would ask him if he was happy, or if he wanted something different, he gave her the answer she wanted, not what he actually felt. When she finally left, it shattered him and he reveled in that guilt for months.
Was he doing the same thing with Y/N? Was he dragging her along in a different way? In one breath he had said that he was so focused on the festival, there wasn’t time for anything else. Yet in another, he was kissing her like she was his long lost lover who he’d just reunited with. Maybe it was better that she stopped it. But then again, if she hadn’t… maybe it could have been something great.
“You need to just fucking stop,” he mumbled to himself as he pulled his pants on and fastened the belt.
From the depths of his pocket, he could feel the vibration of his cell phone notification. Something there was waiting for him; a missed call from Y/N, perhaps? He dared not let himself linger on the tiny shred of hope he had at seeing her name there; he couldn’t hope for anything from or about her until he decided what he really wanted from Y/N. When he unlocked the screen and saw he had a text message waiting, he nervously hovered his finger over it. Finally finding the courage to press the little message icon, he exhaled shakily when her name was highlighted with a little “1” next to it.
>>Hey, any chance you’re free for coffee today? We should probably talk.
Jensen sat back on the bed and felt his stomach bottom out. He assumed this would be where she told him she couldn’t do the job anymore, or be around him, and was moving back to New Jersey. The thought of which churned his stomach more than the bourbon ever could. He didn’t want to see her yet, he couldn’t. He needed more time, he needed to be completely free of the hangover and regret that corrupted him at that moment.
He hit reply on the text and realized she had sent it more than a few hours ago. Trying to think of an excuse, he used Jared and the kids as his out.
<<Hey. I wish I could, because we probably do need to talk, but I can’t today. Promised Jar’s kids Uncle J would take them to a movie. Rain check?
He hit send, sat back on the bed and squeezed his eyes shut while waiting for her response. When none came within a few minutes, Jensen gathered the rest of his belongs and decided it was time to go home, shower, and figure out what the Hell he was doing.

Y/N sat on a stool at the island counter of her kitchen, letting her fingers toy with the string of the envelope tie. In the padded manilla package were half a dozen proposals to various schools around the city of Austin and several contracts that needed Jensen’s signature. It was the last bit of business they had conducted for the festival before winding down for the holidays. Now it sat in her hands, almost mocking her. She wanted to push it off the counter like a child having a tantrum, but she refrained. Instead, Y/N picked up the envelope and shook the papers just loose enough so they were sticking out of the opening. She pulled the top one out and looked at his signature on the bottom of the page and ran her finger over it lightly.
A myriad of thoughts raced through her mind, including Bri’s words from both the night before and that morning as she was on her way out of the door.
“Remember,” she had said, her sunglasses pulled down on her nose so she could stare Y/N in the eye, “Talk to the man. Explain why you left, even if you just do it for you. Don’t lie, don’t sugar coat it. Be real, raw and if you like the man, tell him.” She left then, but not before wrapping her arms around Y/N and squeezing her tightly and making her promise to call or text soon.
Y/N did what Bri suggested, and decided that she did want to just rip off the bandaid and talk to Jensen. She had to. Him, Austin, the job… it was completely unexpected, but now that it had been a major part of her life over the past couple months, she didn’t want to lose it. That meant allowing herself to be vulnerable and explain why she ran out the night before.
Problem was, he said he was busy. She had texted him that morning, hoping he would be quick to respond with a ‘Yes, let’s talk as soon as possible’, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, he told her he was taking Jared’s kids to the movies. It didn’t sit right with her. Y/N wanted to believe that she knew him, but that was one of the things she was unsure of… did she really know him?
“Uggghhh!” She let her forehead hit the counter and covered the back of her head with her hands. “I can’t take this shit,” she muttered.
Picking up her gaze, she remembered the notepad in the drawer and hopped off the stool to retrieve it. Before she could really think about it, she began to write. Biting down on her bottom lip, as she always did when nervous or deep in thought, her hand scribbled furiously until the stream of conscious writing blissfully came to an end.
Y/N laid down the pen, exhaled shakily, and began to read back what she wrote.
  Jay,
I really am sorry about last night. I want to explain what happened if you’ll let me. I know you were busy today, so maybe we can get together soon?
I am leaving this with the contracts at your place so you don’t have to wait until the start of business day tomorrow. I know you were anxious to get these off to the lawyer’s office ASAP. Things are really looking good to get these out with the information packets and in the mail to the various School Boards as well as the Texas Creative Arts Council. Everything’s moving forward nicely.
Hope you and the kids enjoyed the movie!
-Y/N
“Well, it’s not poetry, but, its to the point. I guess…” she trailed off as she started to second guess herself, then shook it off and quickly shoved the note into the envelope, and finally sealed it. Grabbing her keys and purse, she left the townhouse and headed over to Jensen’s place, before she lost her nerve completely.
It wasn’t more than twenty minutes to get to Jensen’s house. She had been there a few times since moving to Austin, and luckily he had already added her to the gatehouse’s frequent visitor list. Y/N’s heart was pounding harder with every mile closer and by the time she parked her car in front of his house, it was damn near rattling in her rib cage. Once she climbed out and began walking up the path to the door, she froze. She had planned to just leave it between the screen and front doors since he was out with Jared’s kids, but when she saw his car parked in the driveway it hit her that he had lied about being free to talk.
Y/N got her feet moving again. In the mere seconds it took to reach the front door, she asked a thousand different questions…. Should she leave it and go? Should she knock and just give it to him? Should she, should she…
She wanted to scream, is what she wanted to do. She was angry and hurt, and was hoping that it was just a fluke.
He wasn’t supposed to be home! She thought. Was Bri wrong? Was I wrong? Is he just lying to avoid me?
She wanted to give him benefit of the doubt… was it good timing on her part, maybe? Did he stop here and then go in Jared’s car? Possible. She couldn’t shake the thought that he did lie and in her heart, she knew that would be the truth.
Y/N knocked on the wooden front door with one hand as she clutched the envelope to her chest with the other. She was gripping her keys so tight in her fist the metal was beginning to leave its imprint in her palm. It took less than a minute for her to hear the lock tumbler and to see the door open. Jensen stood before her, his hair soft and still a little damp from a shower, dressed in dark blue sweatpants and a white V-neck t-shirt. His feet were bare, and in one hand, he carried a bottle of water.
“How was the movie?” she asked flatly, still holding onto the envelope for dear life. It was her anchor in that moment, and she was afraid if she released the tension she held on it, she may lose it completely.
“I--we… Gen took them...” he swallowed hard and sighed. “I’m sorry. When I saw the text, I just wasn’t ready to talk.”
“That was all you had to say, Jensen! You didn’t have to make up some bullshit.” She tried to stay calm, but she could sense the hurt feelings rising fast.
“I didn’t want to hurt your feelings,” he said. “I was hungover--”
“Just, stop. It’s fine. I just came to drop these off,” she paused, suddenly feeling the need to get away from him, and maybe Texas altogether. “I’m, uh, I’m gonna go back to Jersey for a while. This was the last few things we talked about before Christmas,” she pushed the envelope into his chest and released it, forcing him to take it or let it fall to the ground. She stepped back and crossed her arms tightly over her chest. “I need to finish up some things back home and I can do whatever else needs to be done from there.”
“Wait, you’re leaving now? Why?” he asked incredulously, his brow furrowed in confusion. “You just got back.”
“To be honest, I cut that trip short to come back here for the party,” she replied, lifting her gaze to finally meet and hold his. “Since you’re not ready to talk about it, then, I think it’s just better if I go back for a while. We don’t have that meeting with the Texas Creative Arts Council until the end of January, so until then…”
Jensen frowned and slowly nodded his head, but not in any way that really agreed with her. Y/N could feel his growing frustration, in turn making her both sad and yet still defiant. It was something she had always done, and on more than one occasion it got her into trouble. There was a stubborn streak in her, that wouldn’t completely allow her to just stop a trainwreck conversation in progress. She was both the conductor and the passenger on a collision course of misunderstanding, yet still completely helpless to stop it from happening.
“Maybe that’s a good idea. I gotta leave for Vancouver anyway. Work and all.” His tongue rolled out over his top teeth and raked back into his mouth over bottom lip. Y/N had seen that gesture when he was trying to hold back his frustration, but it had never been at her before. “So, just text me if you need anything, or give Robbie a call.”
They stood there silently for less than ten seconds, but to each of them, it felt like an eternity in Hell.
If he had just said he didn’t want to talk, instead of a stupid, pointless fib about a movie…  she thought as she stood on his porch, still gripping her keys far too tight. If you had just stayed, last night… her heart countered. Her stomach fell, and she just needed to get away.
“I’ll text you anything important,” she said quietly.
“Yeah, ok,” he replied, but it came out garbled and rough. She couldn’t tell if this change in his inflection was due to disappointment, anger or both, but she hated it.
Not knowing what to do, she just stood there, waiting for him to say something more. Had she blown it all already? She could recant, say she would stay, and please could things go back to how they were? But after what happened the night before, not just her running out, but the kiss, Dear God, that fucking kiss, she thought… that kiss changed everything.
Maybe going home would be a good thing. She could go out onto the beach, watch the sunrise, and let her toes reconnect with the cold grains of sand; they were always able to ground her when she needed it. So much had happened in twenty-four hours, hell in the last week, that her head was reeling, her heart was hurting, and her feelings were a fucking mess.
“Alright then, well, I guess--uh--have a safe trip back to Vancouver, Jensen,” she said, unable to withstand the silence any longer. She turned to go, not wanting to wait for a response. He could’ve called out to her, called her back, told her to travel safe, but he didn’t. In her current state, Y/N continued to let the doubts, insecurities, and fears that had followed her around most of her life win out, as they continued to drive her away from Jensen, his house, and his city.

It cost a good size chunk of her savings, but Y/N found a flight that landed in Newark around midnight that evening. She had to move heaven and earth to get a seat on the flight that took her from Austin to North Jersey, and then at least an hour wait for a rental car. The drive itself put her pulling onto the dirt lane of her bungalow at almost three in the morning. Even as her tired, heavy eyes begged for sleep, the rest of her felt exhilarated by the smell of the salty air. It didn’t matter that she had just been here two days before, the feeling of walking up to the front door where she had spent all of her life was calming and much needed.
Y/N dropped her one carryon bag onto the couch and pulled her phone from her pocket. There had been a few notifications she ignored while driving and wanted to check them before she went down the hallway and fell onto her bed.
The first was a missed text message from Bri.
>>Well, what happened?! Did you get to talk to him?
The next was a missed call from an unknown number, but it had an area code that was local to Seaside. Ignoring that for the time being, she checked the last notification… this time it was from Jensen. She paused before hitting the little envelope on the screen, petrified of what it may say. Before New Year’s Eve, she would have been excited to open it, but now a feeling of dread washed over, making her worry that maybe he was texting to tell her to forget about the job after all, and she could just stay where she was.
>>I hope you landed and made it home okay. Can you just text me and let me know you made it safely?
Y/N went to the couch and fell onto it, using her carry on as an armrest, she put her elbow on it and rested her head against her hand. The phone was still in her other hand, and she absently scrolled through a bunch of text message exchanges she had with Jensen since first meeting him in October.
>>Hey Trix, I lost my copy of the grant proposal for the TCAC, any chance you got another laying around?
<<Only if you ask nicely.
>>Hey, I’m always nice.
<<Sure, when you want something ;)
>>.... So?
-----------
<<Dammit Jensen! I told you to wait for me. You suck. How could you go to Salty Sow without me? I thought we had something…
>>No one told you to spend three hours in the bookstore. A man needs to eat.
<<... Fine. Guess I’ll just order pizza like a college freshman...
>>Nom, Nom, baby.
<<I hate you. You owe me a Sow burger.
>>Deal.
-----------
>>Still up?
<<Nope.
>>.......
<<What? I’m half asleep. That counts.
>>Just wanted to say tonight was fun.
<<It was! I’m surprised. Never thought I’d be able to line dance.
>>You did great. We should go again when we aren’t scouting for bands. If you’re gonna be in Texas a while…
<<Only on one condition…
>>Yeah, anything
<<This summer you let me teach you how to surf.
>>Like in the ocean? With sharks?
<<Coward.
Y/N inhaled slowly and held onto the breath as she finally looked away from the screen. She thought about the messages, and then that last interaction she had with Jensen. She dared to let herself even think about the kiss they shared on New Year’s Eve. It did nothing more than add to the confusion she carried in conjunction with his name. The whole night, including her talk with Bri, the text from Nathan, all of it left her completely unsure of what was right, wrong, up or down. She needed to clear her head, figure out what came next.
Bri’s words rang loudly in her ear, “...before you make up your mind in any way, you need to figure out what’s most important. For you.”
With that, and despite the very late, or early hour, depending on how you looked at it, Y/N closed the messaging app and went to the recent calls to find who she was looking for.
Hitting call next to their name, she waited anxiously for the phone to stop ringing, and an answer on the other end. One ring later, she could hear someone fumbling the cell and waited for the raspy greeting she was bound to get.
“Hey? Hel--hello?”
“Hey, it’s me,” she said, trying to sound relatively awake for three a.m. “Sorry to wake you.”
“No, no, you’re fine. What’s up, Y/N?” he asked, surprised to hear her voice.
“I was thinking… maybe it’s time to talk.”
“Now? Over the phone? Is that a good idea?”
“Well, I had a change of plans and I’m actually back in town. Thought maybe we could go have coffee tomorrow or something?”
“Seriously?” he asked, even more, surprised at that, then at hearing her voice at all.
“Yeah. I think Harry’s is open. Say around eleven?”
“Yeah… that would be great, Y/N. I’d love that.”
“Ok, awesome. Well, back to sleep, sorry I woke you. I’ll see you later today, Nathan.”
She ended the call and settled back into the comfort of her couch. Y/N closed her tired eyes and tried not to think anymore that day. Not about Jensen. Not about Nate. Not about anything, then the sound of the ocean waves off in the distance.

Character INFO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This page will give you a brief introduction to all the characters in the AU so far. It should hopefully give you a good, quick look into the character’s personality, interests and bios. More characters will be added as the story progresses.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
Jack Shurley
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Jack is an innocent teenager who’s very trusting (a bit too much at times; which gets him in trouble during hunts.) He wants the best for everybody and is a very determined and hard worker.
Likes/Dislikes: Jack likes classic rock but like his dad, also likes ABBA. His favourite song is “Unopened Windows” by Set It Off.
Bio: After his mother died, Cas had raised Jack on the road. His dad constantly tried to give him a normal life – school, friends, prom – but Jack refused to accept it. He’d seen what his dad could do and wanted to help; he wanted to make sure no one else had to grow up like he did, and so Cas (reluctantly) taught Jack how to hunt. As a result, Jack has little to no friends and his dating life is nonexistent.
Tumblr media
Castiel Shurley (Cas)
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Castiel can be overly-protective but he’s also a really selfless person. At first, he can be blunt and presents a cold exterior but in reality he has a big heart and tends to think about others more than himself.
Likes/Dislikes: Cas is a bit attached to his Chevrolet Impala, but he also likes cats, board games, Twister, the band ABBA and burgers.
Bio: Cas’ dad had left him at a young age. His eldest brothers (with the exception of Gabriel) raised both him and his brother Balthazar to be hunters so that they could all search for their dad together. As Cas grew older he became tired of the hunting life and later abandoned it all together to settle down with the love of his life and his wife; Kelly Kline. Cas’ elder brothers resented him for his choice, whereas Balthazar still remained loyal and supported his younger brother. Gabriel remained neutral on the subject; the two of them are on okay terms but they didn’t contact each other much after that. Some time after giving birth to Jack, Kelly suffered a horrible death, leaving Cas to raised Jack alone.
Tumblr media
Raphael Shurley (Ralph/Ralfe)
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Ralph is creative and can be competitive, but he is also quite shy when you first meet him.. He has a vivid imagination and is very skilful at coming up with plans and solutions to problems. Ralph can be emotionally distant at times and like his brothers, won’t talk about his feelings.
Likes/Dislikes: Ralph loves any sort of art medium; he loves to express his thoughts and emotions through his art. Ralph prefers doodling when he’s emotional because it’s the quickest way to get his feelings out and he doesn’t have to bottle them up like most of his brothers do.
Bio: Ralph was loyal to his father and loved him unconditionally. But once his father went missing, he was upset, and became more emotionally distant from everyone, deciding to side with Michael and Luci. He tagged along to help his 2 older brothers search, but eventually lost hope and accepted that he most likely won’t see his father again. He still continues to help them with, what he thinks, is their “pointless quest to find dad”. Ralph is the strategist in the group; he comes up with ideas/plans to find their dad despite having lost hope. In his spare time, when he’s not busy looking for their dad, he likes to put his skills in art to use and paints.
Tumblr media
Dean (Squirrel)
Species: Angel (Fallen)
Personality: Dean’s emotions are all over the place due to his lack of experience with handling them. Nevertheless he’s pretty hopeful and can be very faithful towards the people he holds dearest to his heart.
Likes/Dislikes: There aren’t a lot of things that Dean likes but he did have a strong attachment to his wings. Cas’ impala later catches his eye too, but nobody’s noticed that yet… at least he doesn’t think so.
Bio: Angels are normally assigned humans to watch over - people to guide and protect. Usually angels are given troubled souls to steer back onto the right path and every angel is assigned a human to watch over (with the exception of Archangels). If an angel were to fail their duty as a guardian, they'd be punished severely by being stripped of their grace and being reborn as a human. Angels lack free will and are bound to their duties. Sam and Dean found it hard to accept this hard fact and wanted free will like humans did - to be able to make their own choices. They rebelled against heaven and fell down to Earth, with Dean possessing a vessel called Jensen Winchester and Sam possessing his brother, Jared Winchester. The two of them had disposed of the guardian angels watching over Jensen and Jared prior to their possession and later went on to change their names for safety. Their current aliases are ‘Dean’ and ‘Sam’. Their real identities are unknown.
Tumblr media
Gabriel Shurley (Gabe)
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Gabriel is reserved and lonely, he’s very reluctant to talk about his feelings. Despite this, he can be quite humorous once you get to know him and he enjoys a good prank.
Likes/Dislikes: Gabriel has a big sweet tooth and loves any type of sweets or pastries. He also enjoys watching meme/vine compilations in his spare time.
Bio: Once his dad had left them, Gabriel watched his family fall apart as his brothers turned against each other. Unlike his siblings, Gabriel refused to take a side and stood in the middle during the conflict. He doesn't side with Mike (like Luci and Ralph/Ralfe did) and he doesn't side with Cas (like Balthazar did). It's because of this reason that Gabriel remained neutral when he discovered that Cas didn't want to hunt anymore after he’d married Kelly. Due to his broken family, Gabriel had a very lonely childhood and thus grew up to be reserved and closed off from everyone. He usually hunts alone and fills his time by taking jobs.
Tumblr media
Sam (Moose)
Species: Angel (Fallen)
Personality: Sam can be oblivious, especially to passionate or strong emotions, and this is mainly due to his lack of experience with those types of feelings. He’s smart and strategic, the thinks logically but he’s also sympathetic and soft. Sam has a heart that’s as good as gold and, in contrast to his brother, empathises easily with humans.
Likes/Dislikes: Sam loves books. Literature is one of his most favourite things that has been created by humanity – he marvels at all the creative stories and logical explanations that’s been created by human minds. For some odd reason, Sam loves WiFi and WiFi loves him back too because it seems to follow him everywhere. Sam’s also grown attached to one of Cas’ older brothers; Gabriel.
Bio: (Sam’s bio is the same as Dean’s.”)
Tumblr media
Michael Shurley (Mike)
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Mike is an honest and passionate man. He’s decisive and is usually the one to take charge in most situations. Out of all the brothers, he’s the most responsible.
Likes/Dislikes: Although Mike is responsible and usually takes charge, he hates the pressure and stress that comes with making all the decisions and making sure his brothers are safe and sound. Mike loves suits, he finds them attractive and sees a certain charm in them.
Bio: Mike is the oldest amongst the siblings and idolised his father greatly - despite his many mistakes. While he wasn't Chuck's favourite like Luci was, he still adored his father and was devastated when Chuck left them. He was very young and was forced to become a father, mother, and brother to his siblings. Although it's been years since Chuck disappeared, Mike is still hopeful and determined to track him down and bring him home to his family.
Tumblr media
Kelly Shurley (deceased)
Species: Human
Personality: Kelly was a sweet and selfless woman. She was very caring and hopeful. She had a positive outlook in life and was always full of energy. She could be reckless and impulsive at times; she would often think with her heart rather than her mind and she could be very empathetic.
Likes/Dislikes: Kelly loved to play the piano, she wasn’t amazing at it but it brought her a lot of joy. She loved her husband and son a lot and would’ve done anything to protect them. Kelly hated assembling furniture though, it took so much effort and she’d end up frustrated and fed up.
Bio: Kelly was a hunter and was introduced to the hunting life at an early age by her parents. She was working a case when she ran into Castiel, and the two eventually clicked and grew closer as friends. Continuing to run jobs, she would often call Cas for help and vice versa until they became hunting partners; and later on, they would fall for each other and get married. Cas slowly stopped taking jobs, but Kelly still worked them like usual until she found out she was pregnant with Jack. It was after that that she finally abandoned the hunting life for her child's sake, and both Cas and her lived a relatively normal life from then on.
Tumblr media
Lucifer Shurley (Luci)
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Luci is narcissistic but also bottles up a lot of his feelings. He’s the most emotional one out of the Shurley brothers but refuses to talk about his feelings; he hides them behind sarcastic remarks and his some-what twisted humour.
Likes/Dislikes: Due to his narcissistic nature, It’s no surprise that Luci loves to be praised and given attention. He also adores his Gucci flip flops.
Bio: Luci is the second oldest out of all the siblings and was Chuck's favourite amongst them. He was praised and doted as a child, which expanded his ego to the size of Jupiter. Beneath his pride and sarcastic remarks, Luci still loves Chuck a lot, despite all the doubts he may have surrounding his father and whether or not they'll ever find him. Luci deals with the gritty and bloody things that they have to do to find their dad. While he, Mike, and Ralph/Ralfe were working a job, Luci stole some Gucci flip flops, and now he wears them everywhere. Some say they've become a part of his feet, because he almost never takes them off.
Tumblr media
Balthazar Shurley
Species: Human (Hunter)
Personality: Balthazar is sarcastic and humorous. He’s very open and flamboyant but also caring. Balthazar idolises his little brother, Castiel, for stepping up against their older brothers and for choosing his own path. Balthazar cares for Cas a lot and is willing to help him out any way he can, but he often disregards his own health and well-being because of this.
Likes/Dislikes: Balthazar loves partying and dancing; he absolutely rocks the dance floor and enjoys going out and having fun. He loves having freedom and hates it when someone tries to restrict him.
Bio: As well as being the second youngest, Balthazar is also the most open out of all the brothers - he’s the most likely to talk about his feelings. Balthazar was too young to remember anything about Chuck and only grew up in the hunting life because of his brothers. As he grew older, he became neutral on the subject of their missing father. Of course, he’s still somewhat upset because of his father’s disappearance but doesn’t express or feel as hurt about it as his other brothers do. Throughout his life, Balthazar has always admired Castiel for his rebellious nature. Balthazar’s admiration only grew after Cas stood up to their brothers when they confronted him about his decision to drop out of the family business. Currently, Balthazar seems to idolise Cas and is willing to do anything to help his brother and take care of his well-being.

Prompt: Supernatural just started filming season one and Jared wants to / needs to break in Jensen to make sure they will have good chemistry. Rumours go that Jared's trailer rocked constantly for more than an hour and that the moaning was heard over the whole studio. ;)
Jared isn’t a shy guy. He’s friendly, kind, funny, and peoplewho meet him usually leave with a good impression. He never had a problemsocializing or meeting new people.
That’s why he can’t understand why he can’t seem to talk to Jensen Ackles.
He and hisnew co-star met a few months ago during the audition, and they clickedinstantly. They were both from Texas, had the same family history, the sametaste in music, and for a moment, Jared thought he had found his perfect twin.Hell, even their siblings had names that started with the same letters.
When helearned that they were both cast, he was thrilled.  Then, not even five minutes later, Jensen wascalling him and asking him if he wanted to go out for a drink.
It wasgreat. Really great. Jensen was the perfect friend, the perfect co-star, andthey had an incredible chemistry, on and off the set.
It wasgreat, until they filmed the scene where Dean breaks into Sam’s apartment.
Fortechnical reasons, they did this one a few weeks after they started toshoot.  Jared often wonders if thingswould have been different if they’d filmed this scene first.
If theyhad, Jensen wouldn’t have had to change his clothes, right in front of Jared, and maybe Jared would have be able to focus onsomething else than how muscular Jensen really was.  How his skin seems to be the most soft andperfect skin ever, sprinkled by freckles. And maybe he wouldn’t have noticed how perfect Jensen’s ass was.
There’s probably a lot of things he wouldn’t have noticed. Or maybe he would’ve,but he would have had time to go take a cold shower and clear his head. Insteadhe found himself pinned down by Jensen, their bodies pressed as close aspossible.  While Jensen’s hands were trying to pull himcloser, he was also applying pressure with his lower body to roll Jared over.
That’s all it took for Jared to get hard. Not right in front of Jensen- No, that would have been too easy – But right on Jensen.
“I-I need a break” He says, getting up as soon aspossible.
He didn’t turn and look at Jensen, he simplyran towards his trailer as fast as possible, adjusting his pants on theway.
“What’s gotten into him?” One of the crew member askedJensen, helping him up
“We’ve been filming for a while. He’s probably just tired” Jensen says, offering an excuse forJared, even though the young man was already too far away to hear him. “I kind of need one, too”
Jared isn’t a shy guy, but he can become onereally easily.
Forexample, getting hard while filming with his co-star is a situation thatresulted in him becoming really shy. Even more when he knew that Jensen feltit.
Of course,Jensen didn’t say anything, he’s too nice to say it, but there’s no mistaking how he looks and actsaround Jared now.  As if he had to becareful with every single word.
It’s making Jared even more shy andawkward. Jensen shouldn’t be feeling like he needs to becareful around him, Jared is the one who fucked up here.
The worstis probably that their awkwardness around each other has an impact on theirscenes together.
Theirchemistry is all but gone.  It doesn’t fit with the brother’s relationship. The emotional scenewhere the brothers share their feelings is flat.  The tension between them filling the air, andinstead of a few extra takes, they end up behind an entire day.
Three weeksafter the “accident”, Jared decides that he has enough. He’ll apologize, tell Jensen that hedidn’t meant to… to do what he did, maybe make ajoke and then it will be done. He needs to come clean. It will be easy andquick.
He standsin front of Jensen’s trailer for almost ten minutes, unable to do anything. He can’t knock, can’t face the consequences of what hedid. He knows that it’s no big deal – they’re both men, and they know howthings work. But it’s not supposed to happen when you’re with another guy, much less whenyou’re working with another guy.
He can doit.
Or he can’t.
He doesn’t know.
He’s not sure.
Or maybe heis.
Yes, he is.
He can’t do it, can’t face Jensen and tell him that itwas an accident because it wasn’t, not really. He’s been thinking about Jensen sincethe very first day, and soon or later, Jensen would have find out.
He walksback to his own trailer and collapses on the bed, his mind dizzy witheverything that happened. He screwed up big. Really big. What if Jensen doesn’t want to work with him anymore? What if the show ends because of him? He’s not the only one involved here. There’s hundreds of people working on theset, people who would lose their jobs because of him. He won’t be able to find a job after that. What if Jensen tells everybody what happened? What if –
He’s cut out of his thoughts whensomeone knocks on his trailer.
Is that it?Is he gonna learn that the show is over, that he is fired?
But when heopens the door, he’s surprised to see Jensen standing infront of him, his hands in his pockets, looking almost as awkward as Jared.
“Hey” Jensen says, bouncing from one feetto the other “I, uh, I saw you in front of mytrailer but you left before I got there”
“You weren’t in your trailer?” Jared asks, his eyes widening. Hehadn’t even thought about checking ifJensen was there or not.
“No. There was a problem with how the makeup looked on screen so I had to doa scene again. You didn’t knock?”
“I- Yeah, I knocked, I just- Ithought maybe you were busy” Jared tries to laugh it off, but heknows he’s not convinced. He’s a really good actor, but when itcomes to lying, he’s pretty awful at it.
“Can I come in?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course”
Jaredpushes himself aside, letting Jensen enter his trailer. They’re gonna talk. This is it. This isthe moment.
“Listen, Jared-“
“I’m sorry”
Jensenfrowns at Jared’s words, much to Jared’s confusion.
“Why are you sorry for? I’m the one who fucked up”
“What? No, you didn’t” Jared says, “I-Listen, whathappened during the scene-“
“Was unprofessional” Jensen finishes “It- We’re colleagues, and we’re… It was indecent, rude, and it putus in a really awkward situation so I wanted to apologize”
“Apologize?” Jared repeats. His heart breaksknowing how disgusted Jensen is with the situation, but he can’t blame him. He just can’t understand why Jensen isapologizing.
“For… You know, getting hard while wewere filming?” Jensen says, biting his lips
“I got hard during that scene” Jared corrects him “I-I’m the one who did that”
“What? No, I did”
“You were hard?”
“Yeah. You were too?”
“Yeah” Jared admits, a little laughescaping his lips.
Jensenlaughs too, all the tension leaving his body, and Jared quickly followshim, until they both burst into laughter.
“Dude, I thought I fucked up” Jensen says “I thought you hated me”
“I thought you hated me too”
They laugha little more, all the awkwardness from the past few weeks disappearing.Knowing that Jensen had the same problem as him makes Jared feel lighter. Atleast, he’s not a freak, or if he is, then sois Jensen.
“So, we’re good, right?” Jared asks, just to be sure
“Yeah, we’re good Padalecki”
Jensensmiles again before walking toward the door. But instead of opening it, he juststays in front of it, his hand on the handle.
“Hey, can I- Can I ask what… you know, got this reaction?”
“Oh” Jared can feels his cheeks burning, and he quickly drops his head, hiding behind his bangs “Just, I don’t know, the tension from filming, Iguess. And you?”
“Yeah, the tension, too” Before Jared can realize what is happening,Jensen is in his personal space, He’d never seen Jensen so closely, except whenthey were filming and he was Sam at the time, not Jared. “I mean, your ass had a lot to dowith it, too”
“My-My what?”
“Ass” Jensen whispers, his hands slidingbehind Jared before touching his ass softly, leaving room for Jared to leave ifhe wants. “I’m not reading this wrong, am I?”
“No, you’re not” Jared admits, bringing his headcloser to Jensen. He doesn’t know what to do.  Doesn’t know what they should or shouldn’t do, but luckily, he doesn’t have to think about it any longer,Jensen’s lips are already pressed againsthis.
Jared doesn’t waste time over thinking this, andright away, opens his mouth so Jensen can slide his tongue in.
It’s hot and messy, Jensen’s hands squeezing his ass hardernow, bringing him as close as possible while a moan escapes Jared’s lips. It’s good, so good, better than anygirl he ever been with, their bodies working together, dancing together likethey were born to it.
Jensenpushes him down the hall, into the bedroom and gently onto the bed, their kissnever breaking.  He starts to undresshim, kissing every part of his skin. When he starts to lick his nipple, Jaredmoans again, his legs closing around Jensen, bringing their cocks closer.
“Have you ever…?”
“With a man? No” Jared admits “But I want to. If-If it’s ok with you”
“You’re too adorable for your own good, you know that?” Jensen laughs, kissing Jared again.
Jensen getsrid of his own clothes, and the next thing Jared knows, they’re both naked.  He can see everything; the freckles on Jensen’s chest and shoulders, his pinknipples, his really big dick, thats rubbing against his.  Jared’s mouth waters when he thinks abouttaking it in his mouth. Maybe another time.
“Condoms?” Jensen asks, biting on Jared’s neck
“In- In the-the nightstand”
Jensenreaches in and takes a condom out before searching for the lube.
The firstfinger against his rim makes him jump a little, but Jensen helps him relax, sweet talking in his ear while working him open slowly.
“So good, Jay, so good” Jensen whispers, biting Jared’s lobe “Think you’re ready for more?”
“Yeah, please Jensen, more”
Jensenobliges, pushing a second finger inside Jared before moving a little deeper, searching for Jared’s sweet spot.
He knows hefinds it when Jared screams his name, his whole body convulsing with pleasure.
It doesn’t take long before Jared begs formore again, and after pushing a third finger, Jensen finally lines himself upwith Jared’s entrance.
“Ready?” He asks, Jared’s legs still around him
“Yeah”
“If it hurts, we can stop”
“Come on Jen, just do it”
Jensenrolls his eyes and carefully, starts to press inside Jared.
There’s no word strong enough to describewhat Jared is feeling. It hurts a little, but Jensen is gentle. He tries tofocus on everything else. On the fact that Jensen is inside of him, reallyinside, where no one else has ever been.
In a normalsituation, he wouldn’t have done it. Wouldn’t have slept with a guy for thefirst time, or at all, after just one kiss. But Jensen… Jensen is perfect. He makes himfeel whole, and right now, they’re finally one, and a peacefulfeeling is spreading inside of Jared.
“You can move” He says after a few moments.
“You’re so tight” Jensen moans, rocking his hipsslowly “Just for me, right, Jay?”
“Just for you”
Jensenrocks into him faster and stronger, hitting Jared’s sweet spot in the process, andJared can’t remember a time when he screamedso hard, when he’d had so much pleasure while having sex.
Not oncedoes Jensen stops kissing him, telling him how good and perfect he is.
When it’s finally over, they lay on Jared’s bed for an hour, cuddling andkissing as much as they can.
“It’s not- It’s not a one time thing, right?” Jared asks, tracing Jensen’s freckles with his fingers
“No. I mean, unless you want it to be”
“I don’t” Jared hurries to say “But I don’t want it to interfere with the show”
“It won’t, I promise. We’re just… releasing some tension, you know?” Jensen rubs Jared’s back gently “I mean, as long as we keep doing ituntil the show ends, we’re good”
“It sounds like a contract” Jared laughs
“It is” He admits, “And all good contracts end with akiss”
Jaredlaughs again, but lets Jensen kisses him anyway.
He hopesthe show will be picked up for another season.

Fairy tale ending: Inside the magical Once Upon a Time series finale
To read more scoop on this year’s season finales, pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly on stands Friday, or buy it here now. Don’t forget to subscribe for more exclusive interviews and photos, only in EW.
“Oh, man, I’m fired. Guys, I think this might be my last day!” Once Upon a Time is in its final days of production, and Ginnifer Goodwin is feeling particularly punchy after flubbing a line during a pivotal scene. Her Snow White stands before our beloved heroes at a massive war-room table, giving a rousing speech about hope as it seems all but lost. A great evil threatens to steal their happy endings once and for all — if it sounds like a moment from the pilot, there’s a reason for that. As actress Jennifer Morrison puts it, “The heartbeat of the show has always been hope.”
Despite being the brainchild of Lost writers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, Once’s premise — Snow White and Prince Charming’s (Josh Dallas) daughter Emma Swan (Morrison) returns after 28 years to rescue a variety of legendary literary characters, like Jiminy Cricket (Raphael Sbarge) and Little Red Riding Hood (Meghan Ory), from the Evil Queen’s (Lana Parrilla) dark curse — seemed a lot to swallow when the series launched in 2011, and many critics expected the fairy-tale mash-up to fail.
Instead, OUAT went on to become one of ABC’s top performers, bewitching audiences with emotionally grounded and relatable stories that resonated with adults and children alike for seven seasons. “Even though it’s about fairy-tale characters, the writers have written [the show] in such a way that really goes to the heart of everybody,” says Colin O’Donoghue, who joined the show in season 2 as Captain Hook. “That’s hopefully where it will endure.”
Part of the show’s initial appeal was the OUAT bosses immediately bucking age-old expectations, setting a game-changing tone of female empowerment with a very simple, if not monumental moment in the pilot: sticking a sword in the hand of Disney princess Snow White. “When we wrote it, we didn’t realize,” Kitsis says. “We wanted her to pull a sword and not be a damsel in distress, and that is what people respect about Snow White — she’s a fearless warrior for good.”
“At the time that we made the pilot, no one was doing anything like this,” says Goodwin. “Honestly, these guys wrote a truly female-driven show. It was instrumental then in my choosing to take the part.” Goodwin notes OUAT’s female-forward approach was also used behind the scenes — she was No. 1 on the call sheet for years until Parrilla took the top spot in season 7. “I hope that Once is remembered as being groundbreaking, that it’s remembered as being representative of the strongest kinds of complex and beautiful women.”
That was never more apparent than with the character of Regina Mills. She started out as the show’s ultimate villain, unleashing a curse that trapped everyone in a land without magic, where Regina could live out her own personal happy ending. But it was one that turned out to be anything but happy, evolving into a Groundhog Day-like prison of her own making until she adopted Henry (Jared Gilrmore), eventually leading to the arrival of Emma Swan, who went on to wake the cursed characters.
Slowly, but surely, Regina conquered her own demons, becoming not just an ally to the Charmings, but family. “Regina is a very hopeful character because she’s so flawed and complex,” says Parrilla. “Following Regina’s journey over the years, we’ve seen that she’s made some mistakes, but she picks herself back up. I think she’s an inspiration to many, including myself; I’ve learned so much from her.”
Aside from its compelling leads, the show’s fortitude also stemmed from its ability to reinvent itself from season to season, sometimes multiple times within. The Onceuniverse expanded into a playground sandbox where characters like Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) could cross paths with Tinker Bell (Rose McIver), the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader) or Dr. Frankenstein (David Anders). The show even birthed a short-lived Wonderland-set spin-off.
The biggest reboot came last year when — after the exits of six major cast members — Parilla, O’Donoghue, and Robert Carlyle (as Rumplestiltskin) were left to take center stage alongside Andrew J. West as an older version of Henry (Jared Gilmore), Dania Ramirez as a new iteration of Cinderella, and Rose Reynolds as Wish Realm Hook’s daughter Alice. But audiences waned without the original cast, seemingly losing hope at the worst possible time. “It makes me sad that something so positive on television is being taken off the air when we need it most,” says Parrilla. “It breaks my heart.”
Even the characters of Once may come to lose hope as the series heads into its final episodes. Despite developments in Hyperion Heights that could signal a brighter tomorrow, an unleashed villain intends to follow through with a dangerous plan, the painful effects of which would be felt by our cherished characters for eternity. “I would definitely say the last episode is as epic as probably any episode that Once Upon a Time has ever done,” O’Donoghue teases. “It’s like taking the best of all seasons and jamming it into one — literally.” West concurs: “The finale is maybe the single most massive episode that the show has ever done. And I mean that in all sincerity.”
Though their future may look bleak, Snow White would (and does) tell our heroes to keep hope alive, a notion Morrison attributes to why the show “had such a strong connection with the audience.” It didn’t hurt that the show launched in a time when social media allowed fans to share in the characters’ experience, cheer their triumphs, and criticize their missteps in real time, creating a community of fans who have cemented a strong bond over the years. “It’s brought a lot of people together that maybe never felt seen,” says Mader, who joined the show’s ranks in season 3. “These people will now be friends forever, because of a TV show that we made — that’s really special.”
For some, it’s much more than that; the mark that OUAT has left is indelible. “There’s been a couple of times where people have said that they were so desperately alone that they’ve considered taking their own lives,” O’Donoghue says. “Through the show, they’ve met other people who felt the same way and realized they’re not alone. That blows me away.”
Sometimes, even the OUAT actors can forget how much the show has affected fans, something season 7 addition Reynolds learned while filming the final episodes. “It didn’t really hit me, the impact of this show, until I went to Steveston,” says Reynolds of the real-life Storybrooke set that the show will return to before series end. “We had people coming out to see it, and even just being on the street I saw in the pilot, that is when it really hit home for me that this is a big deal and this show is epic. Working with [returning stars] Ginny and Josh as well has hammered that home even more.”
Though the Once bosses depicted their originally planned ending in the season 6 finale, they have cooked up a particularly magical final chapter that brings the show back to the beginning in a number of ways — keep your eyes peeled, as there are Easter eggs galore. “The pitch for the whole show was ‘What would a world look like in which the Evil Queen got her happy ending?’ I feel that we’ve finally figured out what that would look like,” says Goodwin, just one of the season 6 departures who returns for the finale. (Read who else is returning here.) “We saved Regina’s happy ending for the end,” says Kitsis. “Her journey has really been watching somebody confront the demons within and emerge on the other side a better person.”
“I know everyone’s been waiting for Regina’s happy ending and no one really could define what that is, and no one really knew what it was going to look like, and nor did I,” Parrilla says. “Once Robin died, it was really hard to foresee another love in her life. But I’m happy with where her happy ending is at.” Parrilla remains coy about the specifics of Regina’s happily-ever-after, only teasing that it takes place “in the same location” as the opening of the pilot.
O’Donoghue, meanwhile, offers that Hook’s fate is intrinsically tied to Rumple’s. “I remember thinking [the ending] was just such an amazing way for this relationship that Bobby and I have invested in over six seasons,” O’Donoghue says. “It’s been so integral to both of our characters, so I thought it was a really beautiful moment and very, very important to me for that to be the happy ending for Hook.”
The notion of happy endings has been vital to the success of the show, particularly Once’s central message that no matter who you are as a person, good or evil, everyone deserves a happy ending — all three of this year’s legacy characters initially entered the show as villains. “It’s so important to send that message,” says Dallas, “particularly in this day and age, when we have so much negative in the world, and to know that you do have a second chance, that you can have redemption, is super-powerful.”
But the question remains whether Once will get a second chance in the future, someday joining the pantheon of shows getting the reboot or revival treatment. “Look, you never say never, but for now this is our ending and the end of this show for us,” says Horowitz. “But if in the future something else happens with the show, we’ll be excited to see what that is.”
Once Upon a Time’s series finale will air over two weeks, starting Friday, May 11, and concluding Friday, May 18, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Trump Secretly Mocks His Christian Supporters
Donald Trump Tells Oprah in 1988 What He Would Do as President
Former aides say that in private, the president has spoken with cynicism and contempt about believers.
One day in 2015, Donald Trump beckoned Michael Cohen, his longtime confidant and personal attorney, into his office. Trump was brandishing a printout of an article about an Atlanta-based megachurch pastor trying to raise $60 million from his flock to buy a private jet. Trump knew the preacher personallyCreflo Dollar had been among a group of evangelical figures who visited him in 2011 while he was first exploring a presidential bid. During the meeting, Trump had reverently bowed his head in prayer while the pastors laid hands on him. Now he was gleefully reciting the impious details of Dollars quest for a Gulfstream G650.
Trump seemed delighted by the scam, Cohen recalled to me, and eager to highlight that the pastor was full of shit. Theyre all hustlers, Trump said.
The presidents alliance with religious conservatives has long been premised on the contention that he takes them seriously, while Democrats hold them in disdain. In speeches and interviews, Trump routinely lavishes praise on conservative Christians, casting himself as their champion. My administration will never stop fighting for Americans of faith, he declared at a rally for evangelicals earlier this year. Its a message his campaign will seek to amplify in the coming weeks as Republicans work to confirm Amy Coney Barretta devout, conservative Catholicto the Supreme Court.
The People Whom President Trump Has Called Stupid
Since he declared his candidacy for the presidency, no group has been deemed stupid by Donald Trump more frequently than Americas leaders. There are stupid people running the country, he said over and over and over again on the campaign trail; making stupid deals with Iran and stupid deals on trade. Everyone in charge was dumb and he wasnt except that he was stupid for self-funding his campaign. That, in broad strokes, was Trumps rhetoric in 2015 and 2016.
But that wasnt the full extent of it. When Trump tweeted disparagement of LeBron James and CNNs Don Lemon Friday night, it was a reminder that Trump often divides the world into two groups: those who are stupid and those who arent. It was also a reminder that, of late, Trump has often chosen to describe as stupid people who are not white.
That wasnt always the case. Before the presidential election, Trump mostly disparaged white people as stupid.
Of course, back then, his political opponents were mostly white people: those running against him in the Republican primary and the conservative establishment broadly opposed to his candidacy. He called Karl Rove, former George W. Bush adviser, stupid five times, including in interviews. Bloombergs Tim OBrien, whom Trump once sued unsuccessfully for alleged libel, earned the description three times, as did television host Glenn Beck.
Since President Trumps inauguration, though, that has changed.
It wasnt Obama.
The Dumbest Stuff Donald Trump Has Ever Said
Paul J Richards/AFP/Getty
Americas favorite faux-political shock jock came back with a vengeance two weeks ago when, during a press conference to announce his candidacy for the presidency, he characterized all Mexican immigrants as drug-peddling rapists.
The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody elses problems, he said. When Mexico sends its people, theyre not sending their best. Theyre not sending you. Theyre sending people that have lots of problems, and theyre bringing those problems with us. Theyre bringing drugs. Theyre bringing crime. Theyre rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
The comments ended up getting both him and his television programs booted from NBC. After a public pressure campaign that racked up more than 200,000 petition signatures, the network decried his words as derogatory. Trump, as to be expected, railed against NBC. Instead of apologizing for his words, he later asserted that his stance on immigration is correct.
Its not the first time Trump has insulted Americas southern neighbor. This past February, when Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu took home an Oscar for his film Birdman, Trump offered dubious congratulations. Well it was a great night for Mexico, as usual in this country It was a great night for Mexico. This guy kept getting up and up and up. I said, you know, whats he doing? Hes walking away with all the gold.

Trump ‘knows Republicans Are Stupid’ Jared Kushner Allegedly Said To Former Editor
Greg Price U.S.Jared KushnerDonald TrumpRepublicans
One of the strategies Donald Trump employed as he began putting his name on the U.S. political map years ago was championing “birtherism,” the long-held conspiracy theory that President Barack Obama was born outside of the U.S. and hence should never have been elected. He often chastised Obama and demanded the president produce his birth certificate, revving up an anti-Obama base that eventually helped put Trump in the White House.
Evidently, Trump may have been using the so-called birthers only as a means to an end.
His son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who is also a senior adviser to the president, allegedly told a former editor of the newspaper he once owned that the billionaire real-estate mogul didn’t believe his own “birtherism” claims, and only made them to charge up Republicans because they are “stupid,” GQ reported.
During a discussion on how to cover Trump, the former New York Observer editor, Elizabeth Spiers, claimed she told Kushner that she had serious problems with Trump’s repeated claims that Obama was not born in the U.S., to which Kushner allegedly told her: “He doesn’t really believe it, Elizabeth. He just knows Republicans are stupid and they’ll buy it.”
Spiers told her Kushner anecdote in response to a question from a conservative blogger on Facebook, and then screenshotted the response and put it up on Twitter.
In 1988 Oprah Asked Donald Trump If He’d Ever Run For President Here’s How He Replied
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Donald Trump;wasn’t always so sure he wanted to run for president.
Long before The Donald officially kicked off his;polarizing2016run and became;the Republican frontrunner, Oprah asked the business tycoon about his political aspirations on a 1988 episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” ;Trump had originally appeared on the show to promote a new book and discuss his life as a businessman, but the conversation soon turned toward foreign policy and how Trump would take a tougher stance with America’s allies.
“I’d make our allies pay their fair share. We’re a debtor nation; something’s going to happen over the next number of years in this country, because you can’t keep going on losing $200 billion,” he said on “The Oprah Show” back then. “We let Japan come in and dump everything right into our markets… They come over here, they sell their cars, their VCRs. They knock the hell out of our companies. And, hey, I have tremendous respect for the Japanese people. I mean, you can respect somebody that’s beating the hell out of you, but they are beating the hell out of this country. Kuwait, they live like kings and yet, they’re not paying. We make it possible for them to sell their oil. Why aren’t they paying us 25 percent of what they’re making? It’s a joke.”
The rant prompted Oprah to ask the question that people would ask for the next few decades.
Of course, he couldn’t help but hedge.
“I think I’d win,” Trump said. “I’ll tell you what: I wouldn’t go in to lose.”

Trumps 10 Most Hilariously Stupid Things He Said In 2019
President Donald Trump has a long history of saying some of the most bizarre things in politics. This year was one for the books as the president flailed, searching for excuses for his July 25 phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Here are some of the most hilariously stupid things the president has said this year:
1. Windmills cause ear cancer
If you have a windmill anywhere near your house, congratulations, your house just went down 75 percent in value, Trump told Republicans in April. And they say the noise causes cancer. You tell me that one. He then made a whirring noise mimicking a turbine.
2. He wants to buy Greenland
In meetings, at dinners and in passing conversations, Mr. Trump has asked advisers whether the U.S. can acquire Greenland, listened with interest when they discuss its abundant resources and geopolitical importance and, according to two of the people, has asked his White House counsel to look into the idea, the Wall Street Journal reported in August.
Denmark essentially owns it, Trump told reporters in the days that followed. Were very good allies with Denmark. We protect Denmark like we protect large portions of the world. Strategically its interesting.
Trump then got into a fight with Danish leaders and had to cancel a trip hed planned to the country.
3. Trump is the chosen one.
4. Why dont they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.

Seventy days had passed since Donald Trump left Washington against his will. On March 31, 2021, we ventured to Mar-a-Lago, where he still reigned as king of Republican politics. We arrived late that afternoon for our audience with the man who used to be president and were ushered into an ornate sixty-foot-long room that functioned as a kind of lobby leading to the clubs patio. A model of Air Force One painted in Trumps proposed redesigna flat red stripe across the middle, a navy belly, a white top, and a giant American flag on the tailwas proudly displayed on the coffee table facing the entrance. It was a prop disconnected from reality.; Trumps vision never came to be; the fleet now in use by President Biden still bears the iconic baby blue-and-white livery designed by Jacqueline Kennedy.
Trump had invited us to Mar-a-Lago to interview him for this book. He had declined an interview for our first book about his presidency, and when A Very Stable Genius was published in January 2020, attacked us personally and branded our reporting a work of fiction. But Trump was quick to agree to our request this time. He sought to curate history.
But future elections were not front and center in his mind. A past election was. Trump was fixated on his loss in 2020, returning to this wound repeatedly throughout the interview.;

Trump Told A Reporter His Biggest Secret: That He Is A Danger To The American People
Trump is a particularly stupid man who thinks he is very smart. Perhaps this lies at the root of his monumentally dumb decision to grant Bob Woodward 18 interviews
The Inuit are supposed to have dozens of words to describe snow. The Brits have endless ways to talk about rain. Now its time for Americans to delineate all the many ways that Donald Trump is dumb.
If Bob Woodwards new blockbuster teaches us anything new about the character of the 45th president, its that we dont yet have the words to describe the multiple variants of the vacuum inside his head.
Theres the stupidity of arrogance, the stupidity of ignorance and his old friend: the stupidity of blatant duplicity. Theres his homicidal stupidity, his traitorous stupidity, his criminally corrupt stupidity and his plain old infantile stupidity.
Lets start with the top of this taxonomy: the domain of Donalds dumbness. At his core, the former reality TV star is a particularly stupid man who thinks he is very smart. Or as he prefers to call his own character, a very stable genius.
Perhaps, just maybe, this lies at the root of his monumentally dumb decision to grant Woodward 18 interviews, on the record and on tape.
Instead, our very stupid genius vomited up all manner of secrets that collectively prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he represents the greatest single danger to the fate of both the American people and to himself.
Fact Check: Did Trump Say In ’98 Republicans Are Dumb
Donald Trump: I didnt say that. (He did.)
Did Donald Trump tell People magazine in 1998 that if he ever ran for president, hed do it as a Republican because theyre the dumbest group of voters in the country and that he could lie and theyd still eat it up?A:;No, thats a bogus meme.
FULL ANSWER
The meme purports to be a quote from Trump in;People;magazine in 1998 saying, If I were to run, Id run as a Republican. Theyre the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe;anything on Fox News. I could lie and theyd still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.
We were alerted to the meme by a reader, A. Douglas Thomas of Freeport, N.Y., among others, who saw it in his Facebook feed, along with a message from someone who said, I just fact-checked this. Google Donald Trump, People magazine and 1998. This is an actual quote by Trump.
Well save you the effort. It is;not;an actual quote by Trump.
We scoured the;Peoplemagazine archives and found nothing like this quote in 1998 or any other year.
And a public relations representative with;People;told us that the magazine couldnt find anything like that quote in its archives, either.;Peoples Julie Farin said in an email: Peoplelooked into this exhaustively when it first surfaced back in Oct.;We combed through every Trump story in our archive.;We couldnt find anything remotely like this quote and no interview at all in 1998.
There were several stories in the late 1990s about Trumps flirtation with a presidential run.
You May Like: What Are The Main Platform Ideas Of Republicans
Trump Is Right: Republicans Are Stupid
Donald Trump, master of the deal, is right. The Republicans are stupid, not only as politicians but also as political psychologists. He criticized Paul Ryan for bringing up the subject of Medicare reform that the Democrats could use to turn the elderly against the Republicans. Their video of grandma being shoved over the cliff by Republicans is a stark indication of how the Dems will fight to win four more years for Obama.
As the discussions over increasing the debt limit go on, the Democrats are portraying themselves as the more flexible party in the negotiations. They are willing to cut cherished programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, provided Republicans agree to some increases in revenue. They want the Republicans to agree to raise taxes and cut spending on programs that the elderly hold sacred. A perfect recipe for Republican defeat in November 2012. Thursdays meeting was supposed to focus on spending cuts in the two health care programs and on new revenue. And only stupid Republicans would attend such a meeting.
From the very beginning, by focusing on cutting Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, the Republicans have trapped themselves into a no-win situation. Why havent they offered a list of real cuts in federal spending? Who told them that cutting programs that the elderly are dependent on is the way to win votes in 2012?
Here Are The Top 10 Stupidest Things Trump Did As President
We’re tentatively starting to emerge from the four year-long national nightmare of Donald Trump’s presidency, but the reckoning of what the nation endured will take years to really understand. Trump was terrible in so many ways that it’s hard to catalog them all: His sociopathic lack of regard for others. His towering narcissism. His utter ease with lying. His cruelty and sadism. The glee he took in cheating and stomping on anything good and decent. His misogyny and racism. His love of encouraging violence, only equaled by his personal cowardice.
But of all the repulsive character traits in a man so wholly lacking in any redeemable qualities, perhaps the most perplexing to his opponents was Trump’s incredible stupidity. On one hand, it was maddening that a man so painfully dumb, a man who clearly could barely read even on those rare occasions when he deigned to wear glasses still had the low cunning necessary to take over the Republican Party and then the White House.
On the other hand, it was the one aspect of Trump’s personality that kept hope alive. Surely a man so stupid, his opponents believed, will one day blunder so badly he can’t be saved, even by his most powerful sycophants. That has proved to be the case as Trump fumbles his way through a failed coup, unable and unwilling to see that stealing the election from Joe Biden is a lost cause.
He then pointed at his head, and said, “I’m, like, a person who has a good you-know-what.”

If hes elected in 2016, the GOP hopeful predicated that he would be the most successful president for U.S. jobs that God ever created, used the recent sale of a multi-million dollar apartment he owned to someone from China as an example of his friendly ties with the country, voiced concern that people from the Middle East are probably sneaking into the country through the border, and revealed that rich Islamic terrorists are his competition within the hotel market in Syria.
This is all real, and its trademark Trump. Here are the quotes from Trumps presidential announcement that you will never hear another presidential candidate say — ever.

Into the night - Chapter 115
“I wanted to come over when Noah was born, but I didn't have the money and James said..” she defended herself poorly, it was the truth though, she couldn't afford coming over and James didn't seem eager at all to lend her the money, telling her over the phone that she had to deal with her money problem by herself once and for all, she really had to ask herself how much she wanted to be there, he had said. “You were already an adult at the time, Miss McLeod, and adults spend their money more wisely than squander it on booze and clubbing, or were you jealous because your big brother built a life for himself and with his son being born, you were pushed further down his list of priorities or did you really think he would provide for you all your life?”. Jordan could feel the tears of frustration bubble up, no, no way, not here McLeod, NOT here, “no of course not! I was never on James' list of priorities, I don't think he even loved me” she softly breathed trying desperately to keep the tears at bay while Jared in the back of the room held his breath, there she was again, the vulnerable young woman he loved so much, no walls, no front, just her and the truth. “Now now, Miss McLeod, people feeling sorry for themselves are not the prettiest of sights, “Did you have other questions for Miss McLeod, counselor?” the judge came to her defense, “as a matter of fact I do, your honour” the counselor flashed the judge a fake smile who nodded briefly. “Miss McLeod, you have a serious heart condition, is that correct?” his voice smooth as butter, “Uhm..yes” she looked up again, “so serious in fact that you will need a heart transplant to survive?”, this was not something she wanted to discuss with the rest of the world so she just nodded. “And do you think it's wise to fight over custody of a young boy, when your future is..well let's just say 'limited'” a dissaproving gasp vibrated through the audience but the counselor just carried on “I believe you were diagnosed in London? And you were put on the transplant list there in London, right?” he approached the bench where Jordan sat. “Yes” Jordan's eyes flew to Noah who wriggled uncomfortably in his seat like he always did when they were talking about  her heart, “ok, and when you were put on the transplant list, did the doctors not forbid you to leave the country?” she knew where he wanted to take this “yes but..Jared was..” she started in a squeaky voice. “And yet you ignored the doctor's orders and you flew to LA taking the boy with you, putting his life at risk too, didn't you, Miss McLeod? And to top it all off, you were put on the transplant list here as well, you do like to make good use of the tax payers money here, don't you?” he raised his eyebrows at her, “No..yes...I mean yes, I flew to LA but that was because of..” she tried to defend her actions but he instantly finished her sentence for her “You flew to LA, ignoring everything, only to end up in jail when you arrived..my, my, Miss McLeod, you do have quite a track record, don't you? I could go on for days about all the stunts you pulled that weren't exactly in the boy's best interest, everything you do is not about him, is it? It's about you and your ego that can't seem to understand the obvious and that is that you're an unfit mother, Miss McLeod, so why don't you give it up, because it seems to me that this war is already won by the Duncan family but since you do so eagerly want custody, why don't you tell us about your time in jail and make sure not to miss out on the part where even Mr. Leto was so fed up with you that he let the police arrest you”. Jordan swallowed hard “It's not like that..” but once again he cut her off “'It's never like that', 'it's not true' is that really all you can say, Miss McLeod? because I've got the police report right here with me if you want to have a look at it and jog your memory..no further questions, your honour” he took a step back staring at her all intimidating and then turned on his heels to join the family again. By the end of the courtday, her mind was spinning and she didn't know her left from right anymore, behind her everybody was leaving the room but she remained seated, her head hung low she tried to catch her breath while her heart was hurting.
”Hey..” her head shot up as someone sat down next to her with a whisper, she didn't say anything, she just looked at him for a second and then hung her head again, he had been here all this time? Just to gloat?. He wanted to put his arm around her and pull her in for a hug but he hesitated because he feared her reaction, instead she got up, gathered her things and limped out of the room as fast as was physically possible with a crooked shoe. Jared followed her suit, catching up with her in the long hallway “Jordan, wait..” he breathed as he reached for her elbow, “I need to catch the bus” she just kept walking, refusing to look at him, hesitating a bit when the late afternoon sun outside almost blinded her. “My car's right there, come on, don't be silly and let's just go home” why was he talking to her like nothing had happened? Jordan stopped in her tracks and nervously pushed a strand of hair out of her face “home? I don't have a home here, I never had a home here, Jared, home is London, which is exactly where I should have stayed instead of flying all across the world to come and save your ass so you could throw mine in jail” she snarled and then started to walk down the steps. On her way down, the heel of her shoe gave up and she nearly fell, Jared couldn't watch it anymore and rushed over to her “Come on, you and I are gonna get a coffee somewhere” he folded his arm around her waist and didn't take no for an answer as he helped her back to safe grounds. His touch, his proximity, it was enough to unleash the strain and stress of the day, tears flowing uncontrollably down her cheeks, he didn't say anything he just held and guided her towards the coffeeshop at the foot of the courthouse. There was a reason why he took her to the coffeeshop, it was neutral grounds, she couldn't push him away here, maybe she would even let him explain. An old-fashioned doorbell clanged as they walked inside the crowded room, “that's a nice spot..and the only free spot from the looks of it” he gave her a careful smile, pointing at a secluded table in the back of the room “I'll go order”. Jordan tried to cover up her broken shoe and literally tiptoed her way over to the table, keeping her head down and not looking at anyone, she didn't want anyone to see her tears and her despair but soon she heard the whispering start up around her.
“I got you a chai latte, I know you love tea..” he sat down, putting the cup in front of her, he clearly felt the awkwardness between them so he babbled on “you know, this reminds me of all the times we went for coffee in London, just you and I..”. Jordan just stared at him, this was pointless and useless, if talking about London and provoking her to feel even more homesick was his idea of talking then there was no way she was gonna stay here, broken shoeheel or no broken shoeheel “Look, I really don't have time for this, I told you I need to catch my bus” she already got up again. His hand folded around her wrist “No, stay! Please? I'm sorry..I guess I'm just as nervous as you are..” It was a rare sight, Jared setting that almighty ego of his aside and admitting he was nervous and basically just human so she sat down again. “So..uhm, what are we gonna do about this? About Noah I mean” he still couldn't find the right words to say but it was a start, “we? We're not gonna do anything, the question is what am I gonna do? And the answer is already pretty obvious, isn't it?” she sighed and stared at her tea that had milk in it and if there was one thing she hated, it was milk in her tea, once again it was clear how little he really knew about her. “There's nothing to do, that lawyer of them has clearly been researching every single little detail in my past, who knows what else he's gonna dish out..it's..just..so painful..maybe he's right, maybe I'm not fit to be looking after Noah..but he really didn't need to remind me of my 'limited future'..” she shook her head, desperately trying to swallow that hard lump in her throat. “I'm scared enough as it is..of dying alone and that's exactly what I'm gonna do..oh djeezes..” she quickly hung her head and shook it, she didn't want to deal with this right now, not here, not in front of him anyway. Jared had to force himself to remain seated, he wanted to push this table that was seperating their bodies away and hold her tight, but there were a lot of spies in this place that had been in the courtroom as well and he didn't want to jeopardize any of her chances if she had any at all. “Let me help..please..” his hand reached for hers but she quickly folded them around her hot cup of tea, “you really don't get it, do you Jared? What are you gonna do? Throw in the big guns? get one of your hotshot lawyers to step in and solve all this? Because the outcome is gonna be exactly the same, yes I might get custody of Noah, and then what? I die and he's assigned to his grandparents again? No, it's best if Noah stays with them..plus, how do you think I would feel if I let you do this? I'll tell you how it would make me feel, it would make me feel as if I'm just money to you, I guess in this world everyone and anything can be bought..but not me..love has no price tag, Jared..and I loved you..god I loved you so damn much..but that was my downfall, wasn't it? What we had..I let myself want it..and the minute it gets a bit difficult, you turned around and walked away..like I meant nothing to you..what you said out there on that driveway..ripped my heart right out of my chest” she realized she was the one babbling now and abruptly stopped. “I'm sorry, I can't do this..I've got to go” she suddenly grabbed her purse, fished out a few dollar bills and threw them on the table before she nervously pushed her chair back and limped back out of the coffeeshop.
The cool early evening breeze made her shiver as she stepped out on the pavement and finally she allowed herself to cry, not caring anymore who saw as she dissapeared into the crowd of people going home from work, friends going for drinks, couples on their way to a romantic dinnerdate, partygoeers on their way to the first bar of the night, while she made her way to the busstop with her broken heart under her arm and a broken shoe on her foot. Jared pushed the money in his pocket and got up but was stopped by a few girls that had recognized him and wanted to take a picture so as soon as the camera clicked he walked out and tried to push himself a way through the usual pavement mayhem but he was just in time to see her get on a bus. Jordan found herself a spot in the back when her phone started ringing, not recognizing the number she ignored it at first, but just when she wanted to put her phone back in her pocket, it started ringing again, hesitantly she picked up. “Miss McLeod, this is Dr. Dadkhah from the Cardiology department at Cedar's” she heard a man say in her ear and her head shot up, “Oh.hi” she stammered, trying to keep her heart from racing, could this be..THE call?. “I'm calling because we have to do some tests, there might be a possible donor heart in the next days” the seriousness in his voice made her mouth go all dry, oh god, what? “we'll need you to come down here for the tests and talk about the details tomorrow morning at 9”. Jordan just sat there, trying to digest the news and then stammered “yes..yes I'll be there”. He confirmed the time again and then hung up, her ears still ringing as the bus puffed its' way further downtown to make his climb up to the hills. “And? Did you see her?” Shannon who had been waiting for news all day, came walking up to him, “yeah..yeah I did see her” Jared sighed, taking off his jacket, “and? How did it go?” his brother followed him into the living room. “Not good..she walked in without any legal help, needless to say she got fried by the Duncan's lawyer” he closed his eyes and sighed “she's given up, she's actually given up on everything, she's given up on Noah, on me, her heart..” running his hands through his long hair “she's never gonna forgive me”. Shannon looked at his brother and tried to lift his spirit “she may have given up, but you can't give up on her, Jared”.
The doorbell suddenly rang through their conversation “hang on” Shannon said, whoever it was he was determined to get rid of him quickly but then he opened the door and saw Jordan standing there, completely out of breath and shaking like a leaf “Shannon..I..” she swallowed hard like she had just run a marathon “Jared..is..he here?”. Just when she was about to tumble to the ground, Shannon grabbed her while Jared who had heard the commotion came running, pushed Shannon out of the way and scooped her up in his arms to carry her over to the living room. “I'll call a doctor” he put her down ever so gently but she put her hands on his arms “No..no doctor..” and struggled against him wanting to push her down. “Jordan..what happened? Calm down, you're gonna give yourself a heart attack” he breathed all worried when he looked at her worried face, her cheeks bright red “water, I need some water” she mumbled, her mouth awfully dry from all the running up the hill she had done. Shannon immediately shot into action and ran to the kitchen while she sat up and covered her heart with her hand, closing her eyes as she tried to control the mad beating inside of her, “I got a phone call..I panicked..I didn't know where else to go..” she rattled. “Ok, slow down, you got a phone call?” he didn't know what she was on about, but the one thing he knew was that his own heart was beating out of his chest, she was here, she had come to him, nowhere else. Shannon handed her the glass of water and with every sip she became calmer “Yes..I got a call..from the hospital” she breathed, “what?” Jared gasped. “He said that there might be a heart for me over the next couple of days” her mind was still racing, even when she said it, she could hardly believe it and neither could the brothers as they sat there gawking at her. “I'm sorry..I panicked..I didn't know who else to turn to” she stuttered and got up as she realized where she was and what she had done, “No, don't go..” he stepped in front of her “I'm glad you came over” and pulled her against his chest, hugging her tight “that's the best news ever” he whispered in her hair. And this time, she let him hold her, she even let her arms rise and fold over his broad back while he kept whispering “I'm gonna help you, we're gonna get through this, just you, me and Noah” and sealed that vow with a long overdue kiss in her hair.

How to write this quickly...
Up top you might not know what you are looking at. It’s the very FIRST screenshot EVER posted to Social Media. It was accidental and on MySpace. In 2000s sometime. I became super popular on that site. I started to do all these crazy things that people just assumed were part of MySpace. They weren’t. I was BUILDING them! I thought everyone was building things. Everyone had access to the same back door... so I thought it was normal. People were pasting code they would find in conjunction to using the site. I was taking language and scrambling it... and INVENTING new everything. All the time 24/7. It fit to the point where MySpace Intel was actually communicating with me and sending me extra tools not open for public use if I got stuck on an equation or mathematical problem in the back. I still thought this was happening to everyone. I loved MySpace. It was OuterSpace. I was self taught and very absorbent. I eventually got scouted and a conference call was set up. I was using modeling pictures of MySelf to attract people like a website. So the owners did not think the person in the front was the one doing the coding. It was a huge conference call with very important people. They were actually quite rude and condescending on the phone. Not everyone... but this one particular person. Told me I had delusions of grandeur and NO WAY... could someone who looked like me... be that smart. They flew me to California to explain code and build a new widget. I had interns and was simultaneously assigned to an Industry gig. I didn’t know everything was 1 big... BUISNESS. I had a small seminar and explained marketing tools. 1 tool was a telecommunications application that became the TROLLING PROGRAM. That’s used on Twitter & YouTube to gangstalk people for political control. Not what it was intended to do! I built games... FarmVille is still considered the most played game in online Social Media history.
There were glitches in the deal. They were trying to pivot me outside of just tech stuff. I was slated to be VERY FAMOUS. But the details were sketchy and it was my first in person introduction to the inside. I didn’t like it. My handler for the project was Jared Leto’s manager. To become... my handler. The trip was murky after everything. Tech was not in the place it is now. Nobody knows all the exact details because I never talked about it fully. Not even to the Higher Ups. I came home, got jerked around on pay because the person in charge wanted... extra stuff. 🤮.
I was set to launch a new marketing strategy and pulled code.
I also left.
When I left... everybody else left. A month later the site died. They can say it was hacked or numbers blah blah blah... but people on the inside KNOW.
Fast Forward:
2017 I was approached by A Global Company. Details were released and a document was sent to me. Paperwork signed by Jeb Bush. Huh?!!! It was wild. But it kind of made everything else fall into place. I exited New York in 2010-11 by choice. For various reasons. Long after MySpace died. Since then it was like walking through the jungle pits of hell and I was always in some crazy ass life happening. One day I will take my time and write a full book. The document was some letter agreeing that I needed to be monitored and targeted for some reason. They couldn’t understand how I knew what I knew or the ability I possessed to predict trends or break existing ones. They thought it was insider trading or espionage of firms.
I’M INDEPENDENT.
So Jeb Bush’s signature was on the bottom. From 2011-2018 & presently... I was gang stalked, harassed, followed, put on a hit list, put on the BLACK MARKET.... and some other crazy shit. All documented.
Because they said it was MyFault that MySpace died. 😶.
Even tho they did not take the advice I gave them to stay alive. They wanted to infiltrate and take over Facebook. Facebook didn’t have the same legs as that current platform MySpace held. MySpace literally... ruled The World and everything coming from it. I heavily urged Them not to do that. I was adamant about Them finding ways to collaborate, not compete. I was watching patterns at the time. Every site I discovered or utilized and incorporated on MySpace was secretly getting bought, shut down, and html coding owned & quietly hoarded by 1 Invisible Unknown Entity- while nobody was paying attention. {🗣I WAS!!!🗣}
Sidebar...
*(Facebook Now Owns MySpace)
I didn’t understand digital politixxx at the time, but I did understand... MACHINE$.
They actually had the first seeds of Social Media Communism at play. I did not know that. I was never political.
2017 introduced Twilight Zone output. Some I am still recovering from. I worked on multi-million dollar projects and was ambushed out of all of them. The group has a name. That name hates President Trump. Once I started to exxxplore rabbit holes... I saw my first picture of Jeb Bush. When I tuned in and started getting educated on the fight, political wars, communism, etc... I cried. Anyone who is the enemy of my enemy deserves MyLoyalty.
The second picture of my legs is recent. Someone fed me a poisoned drink and I literally almost died. A Spiritualist walked over to me and put her hands on my legs as I was losing consciousness. She said... “I can see you. You’re dying. Who did this to You”. I said... , “ Them...”
I made it home and researched what she told me it looked like. It correlated to what happened with the drink and me getting sicker than humanly bearable right after.
It happens. I get targeted. The real life stories that happened in the past 3 years are so fucking disgusting I have to take weeks to meditate MySelf to a Peaceful ground and Pray God continues to hold Me tight.
None of this is fake. None of this is made up. None of this is delusions of grandeur . That’s what was told to me on the phone 15+ years ago. So I wonder if those same people realize that trigger phrase might be the base to a bigger war they keep ignoring.
God Sees All.
May the fall of The Cabal be real. May President Trump continue His Good Works.
It’s A Spiritual Battle.
Always was.

chapter 1
I walked into the party around 10 PM. Shit usually didn’t Jump off until around 11 with this crew, but Chance got pretty stingy with his parents liquor around them and started pulling out the cheap shit he got from his brother and i wanted to have a sufficient buzz before that happened. Once your palate becomes accustomed to Tito’s, nothing else will do. I parked my car and walked up Chance’s excessively long driveway to the front door. There were already a decent amount of cars since most people came straight here after the charity gala. I unfortunately was one of the lucky few who got to stick around and chat with the Dean of Admissions at Howard who just happened to be at the table my dad bought for this wack ass function.
It wasn’t all bad though, I got to swipe the last few shrimp and grit puffs from the night. For a food pastry combo that sounds so unconventional, shit was really fucking good.
I loosed my tie and rang the doorbell to Chance’s house. His crib was probably the biggest on the block considering his mom owned the only black movie streaming service in the world. “Niggas really love Brown Sugar bro.” Chance would say anytime people asked about how his mom got so rich. Not that many people asked this since we all came from families with excessive amounts of money but, I think people just have this strange fascination with making sure you deserve the excess for whatever reason. Chance opened the door after about two minutes.
“What up lil nigga?” Chance said as he let me in. “How you gon’ be late to your best friend’s function? We only pull that CP time shit for the Chad’s bro.”
Chance and I had been best friends since the 2nd grade. Partially because our parents met at a Jack & Jill mixer and realized we were the only two black kids in our class. Mostly because we couldn’t properly roll a joint without the other’s assistance. He’s a bit louder than me, and he has an affinity for snapbacks that I find hard to support, but I couldn’t do this “black man in a white world” shit without his ass.
“Sorry bro,” I said as I stepped over the threshold. “Dr. Williams was at my table and my dad wanted me to talk with him for a bit.”
“Damn again? Your dad always has you kissing that nigga’s ass. Did you fondle his balls this time too?” Chance said as he closed the door behind me.
“Do you actively try to be this fucking gross? Or is it just habit for you?” I asked rhetorically.
I walked into Chance’s kitchen where there were already about twenty other kids from our school. I gave a few smiles and head nods, but nothing too personal. Chance was the people person in our friendship. I didn’t even know half these kids by name.
“Yo, come here,” Chance said as he leaned down to a cabinet under his sink. He came back up with a full bottle of Tito’s vodka. “I got what you’re bougie ask asked for. Why can’t you be into peach Ciroc like everyone else?”
“You know how many fucking additives are in that shit? I like my binge drinking to be organic.” I said as I topped off the red solo cup in my hand. “Plus bougie is my aesthetic.”
“Whatever dude.”
Chance and I shot the shit for a while as more random niggas strolled into his crib. He started trying to convince me how he’s going to try to be the black Gordan Ramsey when he grows up, traveling to different soul food restaurants across the country and making their shit better. I told him that wouldn’t work because no soul food restaurant in the country would let him talk to them the way Gordan Ramsey does. About forty five minutes later Chance left me to go tend to the AUX chord (someone had played Bodak Yellow one too many times for his liking.), so I went to mingle through the party. Per usual I didn’t know a damn soul so I made my way outside to Chance’s backyard.
Chance’s house sat on one of the highest residential hills in the neighborhood, so the view from behind it was pretty amazing. After you walk past the combination pool jacuzzi setup there’s a set of couches that look over the entire city. “I be on some Big Brother shit up here,” Chance would say whenever we sat outside. “I can see everybody and everything, but nobody can see me.”
Being by myself at these things was pretty normal for me. I didn’t really need a whole bunch of friends, Chance was really enough. The more people you let in your life, the more people gotta know shit about you. And the more people that gotta know shit about you, the less shit you have to your self.
I sat on the couch and pulled a joint and lighter from my suit jacket pocket. I placed the joint in my mouth and sparked the lighter. I inhaled the first puff and resisted the urge to cough. I exhaled and watched as the wind pushed my weed smoke past me back to Chase’s house. I sat back as “911” by Tyler the Creator blasted from the stereo.
This was a normal Saturday night for me, finding a pocket of solidarity in a crowded room. Not on some loner Jared Leto in My So Called life shit though, this rich kid shit was just getting tired.
I closed my eyes as my body started to go slightly numb. I started thinking about the leftover shrimp and grit puffs I was going to enjoy in about 15 minutes. As thoughts of Old Bay began to fill my mind i was interrupted by a small shatter. A flower pot had fallen off its stone pedestal erected next to a sliding glass door. Two kids came from behind the pedestal to pick it up. The first was Larson Clark. Larson Clark is the son of the Mayor of Baldwin Hills. Larson Clark exclusively wears vintage Yale sweatshirts and loafers like he’s always auditioning for a J Crew shoot. Larson Clark is the editor in Chief of The Union, our school’s literary magazine ran by a bunch of hotep niggas who think they’re better than everyone just because they read the Malcom X biography. Larson Clark is an asshole.
The second kid was Sydney.
“Oh shit..” Larson said tumbling past the spilled soil, “this shit is wrecked.”
Sydney pushed Larson in the chest. Not that it did anything, the nigga plays rugby.
“Shut up and help me clean this up.” she said, bending down to pick up the broken glass. Her curls swooped down into her face and she pushed them back behind her ear to see better.
“Oh fuck that, its not like he’s gonna know who did it.” Larson said, picking up Sydney by the waist. “Besides, his mom just signed that development deal with that chef dude, she can buy like twelve more.”
Larson and Sydney playfully struggled for a couple seconds before giving up on the vase and walking away. Larson grabbed Sydney’s hand and led her across the backyard back to a set of double doors that led to Chase’s entertainment room. I took a drag from my joint and unsuccessfully held back a cough. Sydney looked right in my direction.
We made eye contact.
She stopped in her track for two seconds. I sat up and adjusted my tie.
“Yo, you good?” Larson tugged at her hand to get her attention.
Sydney came back to reality. “Yeah, I’m fine.” she said, as they continued to walk. They disappeared behind the double doors.
I sank into the couch. I couldn’t tell if it was because of how high I was, or if it was because of what I saw. I took another puff of my joint as the music transitioned. “Mr. Lonely” started playing from the stereo.
I can’t even lie I’ve been lonely as fuck.
I can’t even lie I’ve been lonely as fuck.
I can’t even lie I’ve been lonely as fuck.
I stared out at the city. The lights started to blend together like stars. the cars stopped looking like ant and more like centipedes. A warm sensation emitted from my chest and flowed into my fingertips and toes. I tilted my head back resting it on the back of the chair as I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

FACTS ABOUT CONNOR MURPHY (spoilers)
So I have decided to post all the facts and hints about Connor Murphy’s past that are shown in the musical. It’s hard to make out considering people in the fandom usually focus on the lies Evan tells to figure out Connor’s personality.
To get this conclusion (which I will post in a second) I literally skipped all scenes concerning Evan’s lies and went directly to the Murphy family and what they say. None of these facts/hints involve what Evan said about Connor.
First of all, I’ll say now that I have put my own interpretation on each of these facts.
And so, I will put all FACTS in BOLD. Anything out of bold is my own interpretation and how I see it to be. It’s up to you to agree with me or disagree.
First, I will post my conclusions on each family member, and then afterwards, I will post the reasons for each one.
Zoe
Zoe was an emotional and verbal abuse victim. There is no evidence of physical abuse, although there were threats that could have potentially led to that. She has all the right to not grieve over Connor, in all honesty, she could have sent him to the police for what he did, but as an abuse victim, that is very hard to do. Connor was probably the cause of most of her insecurities and she hated him for that. The unhealthy habit of taking out his anger on the nearest person to him probably made him lash out at his sister whenever he had a panic attack. Judging by how he really did care enough to keep the creepy letter about his sister, written by Evan, in his pocket for 3 days before he committed suicide, it's safe to say that he really regretted being mean to his sister and actually cared about her.
Connor’s mom, Cynthia
Connor's mom was a woman obsessed with reputation. She's known as the rich man's wife, and wants more than anything to be a regular family. But because her son had mental illnesses, her perfect image was ruined. She acted as though she was there for him but when it came down to it, she did nothing. She pushed for therapy but after a while, her husband took him out of it because “it wasn't worth the money,” and she basically went, “welp, I tried.” I will quote what I say later: Connor's mom might not actually be sad that her son is gone, but rather, she's ashamed that her family actually doesn't care. It seems like Connor's mom is filled with regret for not being there for her son, and she's forcing her family to act like they regretted it too, because that's what a real family should have been like. But this is only a personal theory.
Connor’s dad, Larry
Connor's dad might be one of the main sources of his depression. It is very obvious to me that Connor's dad believed him to be a disappointment. He didn't grieve for his dead son and only played along to make his wife happy. He's annoyed by the whole situation. It even seemed like he hated the fact that there was fake remnants of his son in Evan. Almost like he wished Connor wasn't friends with Evan so he could just forget all about him and not need to deal with it. At some point he was a kind father. When they went to the orchard together for picnics, it seems like they were a happy family. Connor's dad had played with their toy plane together and had some great memories. The whole family practically forgot about this, though. Connor's dad didn't cry at his own dead son's funeral. I think that sums it up.
Connor Murphy
Connor was a complicated person. He had many different mental illnesses. I could research which ones he probably had, but there's probably already a post somewhere on it already. One thing for sure, is that he was unstable. He might not have been like that his whole life, but at the time of knowing him, the time he was briefly alive in the show, he was incredibly unstable. Everything and anything could set him off, and he probably hated that about himself as well. Pushing away everyone near him that could possibly help and hating himself for doing so, spiraling himself into a closed minded world of self-hate and regret, which is something that many people can relate to, including me. He did a lot of horrible things to his sister and to his family. I don't blame his family for not actually grieving him, he was a really bad person. The problem is, he could have been a good person as well. He had all the potential to get better. He talked to Evan, probably wishing to say sorry about pushing him earlier in the hall. He was trying, he wanted to try. He wanted to get better. He just gave up too soon.
This post is very long! I’m sorry. If you’d like to read more, I’m putting the reasons I’ve come to these conclusions under the cut.
Remember, ALL FACTS ARE IN BOLD. Anything else is my personal interpretation.
These facts are heard of in chronological order. I literally watched the whole show and took notes as I went by.
At the dinner table before Connor's first day at school, Connor's dad makes rude remarks to him, which Connor replies with a smirk and shaking his head/rolling his eyes, which implies Connor's dad does this multiple times and Connor's gotten used to it.
His family knows he smokes weed and doesn't do anything to stop him. They don't ask why he's doing weed or where he's getting it from, the only person who even seems to care is his mom, who is really only worried about people seeing him at school high, which in turn would ruin her reputation.
Jared just sees Connor walking down the hallway and decides to insult his new haircut, saying it looks “very school-shooter chic.”
Connor just stares at him, and Jared says, “I was just... kidding. It was a joke.”
In a very sarcastic tone, Connor says, “Yeah, no, it was funny. I'm laughing, can't you tell?” He changes to a more pained and aggressive tone, “Am I not laughing hard enough for you?”
Jared stares at him and says, “You're a freak,” and walks away.
Connor snaps and starts having a panic attack.
He looks at Evan and says, “What the fuck are you laughing at?” Evan tries to say he isn't laughing, but Connor yells, “Stop fucking laughing at me! You think I'm a freak? I'm not the freak! You're the fucking freak!”
He pushes him onto the floor and runs away.
In my personal opinion, I believe this is what Connor wanted to say to Jared, but he walked off too fast, so Connor took out his pain and anger on Evan since he was the closest one there.
Once Connor leaves, Zoe comes up to Evan and says, “Hey, sorry about my brother.” Zoe coming up to Evan only after Connor had left is a thing in itself. This implies Zoe had seen the whole thing and never thought to defend Connor or even run after him and comfort him. She waited until Connor was no where near her to go and apologize for her brother, almost like she was ashamed to be his sister.
This is going to be a very long paragraph of me analyzing the printer scene. It’s the most important scene in the show, so please bare with me.
At the printer scene, Connor starts the conversation. (This is a big point, it probably took a lot in him to start a conversation at all.) He sounds very nervous, he barely knows what to say.
He says “So... what happened to... your arm?” After Evan tells him very awkwardly what happened, Connor says, “Well that is just the saddest fucking thing I've ever heard.” (Probably trying to make a joke and failing miserably, since he smiles a bit and laughs softly.)
After an awkward pause, he brings up another topic again, actually trying to continue the conversation, which takes a lot of courage, like I said.
“Um.. no one's, uh... signed your cast.” Again, very awkward.
Evan replies, “Oh.. oh, I know.”
And Connor says quickly, “Well, I'll sign it.”
Evan says, “Oh, you don't have to.”
Which Connor replies with, “Do you uh... have a sharpie?” I'd like to point this out as well: Connor wasn't fazed by Evan giving him a chance to change his mind. He could have backed down and said nevermind, but he didn't.
Connor takes the sharpie and pulls on Evan's cast rather harshly, and hears Evan say ow, and he actually pulls away and scans Evan's face for any signs of pain and almost says, “Oh god, sorry,” before going back to sign his cast.
Connor was terrified of hurting him.
He finishes writing his name on the cast and says, “Well, now we can both pretend like we have friends.”
Evan tries to leave, and Connor tries again to keep the conversation going, he's really trying hard here, and says, “Um, is this yours? I saw it on your printer, it's uh... 'Dear Evan Hansen,' that's your name, right?”
Evan tries to take it away before he can read it, and Connor sees Zoe's name on the paper, and all friendliness washes off his face. “Uh.. is this about my sister?”
Evan fails to explain properly and you can practically see Connor shutting down his walls.
He thinks Evan is out to get him. He says this very slowly, as if working it through his head out loud. “You wrote this because you knew I would find it. Yeah, you knew I was the only person in the computer lab so you wrote this so that I would find it and read some creepy shit about my sister, and freak out right?! And then you can tell EVERYBODY, that I'M CRAZY!”
Evan tries to tell him he's wrong and tries super hard to get it back but Connor runs off before he can.
I'd like to point out that he says “freak out.” This implies that he thinks Evan knows he has panic attacks easily, and it implies Connor would have a panic attack if he found out someone had creepy feelings for his little sister, even though his little sister doesn't even like him.
Connor's mom and dad called Evan out to the principal's office. During this whole scene, it's the dad who took initiative. Connor's mom can barely speak, but his dad doesn't look sad about his son's death at all. To me, it seems like Connor's dad seems annoyed by the whole situation and he's only here in the office because his wife made him come.
Connor did a lab project with Alana back in middle school. This might not seem like anything important, but Alana makes it seem like Connor actually spent a lot of time on it and worked together with Alana, he even presented it with her. You would've expected Connor would have blown it off and made Alana do all the work, but he didn't. He actually had a good enough attitude back then to make Alana think having a lab project together years ago could be the main reason she “knew him while he was alive.” Because she saw a part of Connor people usually never see back in middle school.
This also implies that Alana could have noticed what Connor was going through ever since then and could have reached out to him, but she only stood there and watched.
At the dinner table, Connor's dad asks if anyone wants seconds. His wife replies, “You're probably the only one with an appetite, Larry.” This could be blown off as nothing, but symptoms of depression and many other mental disorders does include loss of appetite. Although this is true, Connor's dad still wants seconds.
Connor's mom says to his dad, “He knew you read his e-mails.” And his dad replies, “Somebody had to be the bad guy.” Like that's a valid excuse. We don't know if he actually knew that his dad read his e-mails, but we do know that his dad never felt any remorse for it.
Connor's mom says Connor was a complicated person and Zoe replies with, “No, he was a bad person, there's a difference.” Connor's mom and Zoe get in a yelling fit, trying to talk over each other, but you can hear her mom say, “You refuse to see any of the good things!” This implies that Zoe could have a warped and biased view of Connor.
The Murphy family used to go to the orchard all the time to have picnics as a family together. Connor and Zoe would play together with a toy airplane that their dad had accidentally destroyed by flying it into the creek. (This implies that at one point Connor's dad was involved with his life and they had a good relationship.)
While Evan is singing For Forever, Connor's mom looks incredibly touched and on the verge of tears but Zoe and her dad look uneffected.
When Evan shows Connor's parents the first of the fake letters, Connor's mom is really touched and says, “I can't remember the last time Connor laughed.” This means she either barely paid attention to him and/or their home life was so bad he never laughed in front of his mom.
While Connor's mom is super happy getting to see the letters Evan and Connor “wrote to each other,” Connor's dad just walks away from the couch, almost annoyed. Connor's mom turns to him and says “We would love to see more of these, we would love to see everything, wouldn't we?” There's an awkward pause before Connor's dad replies with a short, fake enthusiastic, “Mhm!” Like he's only putting on a show for his wife.
This is also a big point to talk about, because this is one of the main reasons people in the fandom dislike Connor. (I am NOT saying it’s wrong to dislike Connor, you have every right to.)
At some point Connor had banged on Zoe's door and threatened to kill her “for no apparent reason.” we don't know if Zoe just left out the actual reason (like she had said something actually mean and regrets it so she didn't tell) or if it's the actual truth that he just walked up to her door and threatened to kill her, which is highly unlikely. It's also implied that this is the only time that it's happened. We know he threatened her, but we don't know the reason he did. The only people who know are Zoe and her parents, and they are probably hiding the truth because of regret.
Zoe's mom forces grief onto Zoe. She basically finishes telling her mom that she doesn't care that he's gone, and it goes right over their mom's head and she sets the letters on the couch and says, “You can read these when you're ready.” This could be a reach, but I personally believe it to be true: Connor's mom might not actually be sad that her son is gone, but rather, she's ashamed that her family actually doesn't care. It seems like Connor's mom is filled with regret for not being there for her son, and she's forcing her family to act like they regretted it too, because that's what a real family should have been like. (Listen to Requiem to understand this theory more.)
Zoe and her dad sing in Requiem together, asking why should they grieve over someone who, to Zoe, was a bad person, and who, to his dad, was a disappointment. Connor's mom joins in and basically says since these letters show that he actually cared about his family, she should also stop grieving.
Zoe tells Evan that her parents can't stand each other and fight all the time.
Zoe tells Evan that her dad never cried at Connor's funeral.
Zoe asks Evan what Connor meant in his “suicide note,” since it mentioned her and how all his hope was pinned on her. She looks really hopeful during the scene where Evan tells her that Connor wished Zoe and him were closer. Evan sings of complete lies about Connor loving his sister, that part isn't important. The important part is that Zoe believes him. Somewhere in her biased, uncaring mind, she believed that Connor could have been a good person. Even if it was an unconscious decision. Somewhere in there, she believed she could have forgiven him for all the horrible things Connor did to her.
Connor threw a printer at a teacher in the 2nd grade. That means he's had problems that's been growing and growing since being 7-8 years old.
Connor's dad is genuinely surprised when he says, “I didn't realize Connor meant so much to people.” Which implies Connor didn't mean much to him, either.
Connor's mom had taken Connor to buy a suit and tie during party season. Apparently, Connor was really excited, but he didn't get invited to a single party.
Connor's dad got him a baseball glove for a birthday or Christmas event (he doesn't even remember) and Connor never took it out of the bag or removed the tags.
In a fight Evan and Zoe have, Evan says “Don't worry you can tell me, I'm not going to start crying and breaking things or whatever” which implies that's a worry that Zoe has had in the past and has shared with Evan. Connor, at some point, would actually cry during fights he had with Zoe. It could be because he was overcome with emotions but most likely that it was self-loathing and regret like most people who have panic attacks experience during a panic attack. “Why do I have to always be like this,” “Why do I always freak out,” etc, which can turn some people violent (my personal experience is throwing random stuff at walls).
Zoe says, at one point, “My life has always been about Connor, I just want...” and its implied she was about to say she just wants it to be about her for once. This could go into A LOT of stuff. Zoe could have actually lied about some of the things she told Evan, probably tweaked the story a bit to seem like she did nothing wrong in the situation. Evan is a chronic liar, but that doesn't mean no one else in the show could have lied.
The Murphy family had set aside money for Connor to go to college. Zoe and Connor's dad seem completely unaffected by giving Evan the money, but Connor's mom almost has a breakdown while proposing it to Evan's mother.
The Murphy family (at least the parents) tell Evan things like “I bet your dad was proud of you.” or things similar, which implies they wish Connor was the perfect boy like Evan was. Evan wished to help the Murphy family move on, but instead, the Murphy family forgot about grieving over their dead son and practically adopted Evan as their “better” son.
In the comments of the video Alana posted of Connor's fake suicide note, one of them say “Connor's parents, by the way, were insanely rich. Maybe they should have spent their money on helping their son.” This commenter doesn't know the full story, neither do we, but we do know the Murphy family could have tried harder to help Connor and they didn't.
After the Murphy family read the comments of Alana's video, Connor's dad says “Maybe it's best if we just wait to see if this blows over..”
To which Connor's mom replies, “That's always your solution to everything, just do nothing?!”
This implies Connor's dad also ignored Connor's problems. This could have made Connor feel as though he was a failure and a disappointment to his dad, and make him feel unworthy of his dad's love.
Connor's mom had to plead with Connor's dad for therapy, who thought it was never worth the money.
Zoe says to her dad, “You treated him like a criminal!”
Connor's mom tries to use Zoe's outburst as a way to team up on Connor's dad, but she then says to her mom, “You think you're any better? You let him do whatever he wanted!”
This goes back into what the video commenter said. Connor's mom wanted to help Connor, even had to fight for therapy with his unwilling father who didn't think it was worth his time.
They COULD have spent their money trying to help Connor. But they didn't, mainly because of his dad. But Connor's mom wasn't any better. It wasn't just his dad's money, it was hers too. She didn't need her husband's permission, but she made it that way so that she wouldn't take the blame, Connor's dad would.
Connor's mom says that the first time Connor had threatened to kill himself, Connor's dad had told Connor “he just wanted attention.” This implies Connor had threatened to kill himself, and probably tried, multiple times before he finally succeeded.
When Connor was in 8th grade the class did collages of photos with their friends for the yearbook, but instead Connor wrote a list of his 10 favorite books. This implies that even in 8th grade, he didn't have any friends.
This is a very big point in the show, and it’s right at the end. This is literally the biggest spoiler I could ever give, so you have been warned.
The call out to suicidal people from Evan at the end the show: “Maybe someday, everything that happened, maybe it'll all just feel like a distant memory? Maybe someday no one will even remember about the Connor Project, or me... but maybe someday some other kid will be standing here staring up at the trees feeling so alone? Wondering if maybe the world might look different from all the way up there... better. And maybe he'll start climbing one branch at a time, and... he'll keep going. You know, when you can't seem to find another foothold, even when it feels... hopeless. Like everything is telling him to... let go. This time... maybe this time he won't let go. He'll just... hold on. He'll hold on and he'll keep going.... keep going until he sees the sun.”
This is a direct quote.
(If you want to understand this call out even more, listen to Waving Through The Window, sung by Evan in the beginning of the show.)
This is not only a fourth wall breaker, or Evan talking about what really made him fall from the tree. It's also the writers playing into the story of how Connor felt and why he tried to kill himself so many times.
These are all facts about Connor and his family. My conclusions are at the top.
If you have never watched the show I suggest you watch it.
If you have read this far, thank you for listening to me rambling. I hope you can agree with me on some things, and it’s okay to disagree as well.
Send me an ask on any theories or headcanons you have, I’d love to hear about them!

Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox
Yockey knocks it out of the park with this debut -- ‘Asa Fox’ may be in my top five favorite SPN episodes. Directed by John Badham, featuring one of the best musical montages in the recent seasons before the title card and featuring the always perfect Sam Smith as Mary, Kim Rhodes as Jody and Lisa Berry as Billie, it is criminal that this one only has an 8.5 rating on IMDb. (I mean, Billie’s presence alone makes it at least a 9.)
Anyhoo, let’s dive in.
In this opening scene, we meet baby Asa Fox racing through the woods running from a werewolf. And may I just say I am pissed that we didn’t get an AU Resistance Leader Asa Fox in Season 13 (one of my many disappointments from that plot thread.) Mary is the perfect blend of badass hunter and typical mom (cleaning Asa’s face). Also, her braids are super cute.
“Since the last time we saw you, I killed Hitler.” “Thank you?” Dean is a rom com chick, pass it on. Ellen and Asa were bros, it’s cannon. “We’re going to salt and burn the body tomorrow. I can’t believe I just said that like it’s something normal.” God, Dean is distractingly hot this scene.
How did the Winchesters get into Canada? Are you telling me they have fake passports?!?!
The actress playing Asa’s mom does not get the credit she deserves for this episode.(I looked her up, and she is Laurie Paton. She’s also in The X-Files.)
There should be more episodes that feature a shit ton of hunters getting wasted. “Nobody can take out five Wendigos in a night.” I want that episode.  THE BANES TWINS!  “She was, like, a good witch. Very Enya. It was the ‘90s.” “What did she teach you?” “Mostly how to seduce men.” Max. Buddy. I need you to give Dean a nudge. In other news, I want the Banes twins to be my best friends.
“It’s not like we’re in the live-till-you’re-90, die-in-your-sleep business.” That line has a lot of weight, especially now going into the final season.
Rollerskating ghouls!!! I want that episode too. Sam and Dean walking in just in time to hear that Asa and Jody banged is so awkward.
Jody fangirling over Mary is still the cutest thing that has ever happened.  Mary’s short hair this season is the other cutest thing. Also, unrelated, but I love Sam Smith’s voice. My best friend once described my mom’s voice as sounding like a hug, and while I knew what she meant -- because she’s my mom and I’ve always gotten the same feeling hearing her talk (unless she’s mad) that I get when she gives me a hug, but I didn’t think other people would feel that way -- but that’s how Sam Smith’s voice sounds. Like a hug.
Big Sister Jody coming to Dean’s rescue, as usual.
How come Lorraine heard the name “Mary Winchester” and didn’t immediately assume Mary is Mary Winchester’s daughter who just has the same name? Maybe she just assumes all hunters are childless loners. “You’re the reason my son didn’t become an astronaut.” Also the reason he didn’t become a werewolf, Lorraine, keep up. I do think this scene is wonderful, because as Lorraine says, “Hunting was his whole life. He never married, never had kids--” Mary’s hearing the story of her own sons.  And the next scene is the same: Sam telling her Asa chose to be a hunter will later parallel him telling her he chose to be a hunter in “The Raid” (another criminally underrated episode. God, I love Season 12.) “Everywhere I go and everything I do, it just feels wrong.” Maaaaaarrrrryyyyy!!!! When Sam says Mary was still hunting in 1980, after Dean was born and “everyone” thought she had quit, Mary gets this guilty look on her face that is not really explored to its full potential. And I just want to say that in a perfect world where Jeffrey Dean Morgan was able to come back for a length of episodes and could have a fully developed arc (and not the delightful but kind of fan servicy one he had in the 300th) that THIS is the plot I would have wanted -- John being resentful of Mary for keeping her hunting life secret from him and, arguably, putting their sons in danger for it.
You guys, this episode is already so good, and we haven’t even really gotten to the Agatha Christie-style murder spree yet. 8.5 my ass.
Also, Jared Padalecki is killing it this episode. I love his scenes with Sam Smith.
Is the blood dripping on Asa’s forehead supposed to parallel the show’s first scene? I mean, I’m sure it is, but I need some meta writer to explain to me why that is.
And here’s where the plot picks up. Also, we need more crossroads demons in our life. (Where’s my Bela Talbot Crossroads demon???)
“Go away.” “You’re not the boss of me.”  Billie and Dean is one of my favorite dynamics in the entire show. “You can huff and puff, but that house is on supernatural lockdown.”
Jael kills both a First Nations girl and then later Marlene and her kid to create angst for Asa. Does it count as fridging if it’s in dialogue? Turning off the water is so smart! I love me some smart villains! I love how Jody immediately takes command of the situation -- before Sam, even. I kind of always wanted her to be like Sam’s lieutenant.
“It’s a one-way ticket.” Billie is like me, and wants to watch the Agatha Cristie-style murder spree, which would be totally ruined if everybody could get out of the house.
Did Jael say, “Elvis has left the building”? That motherfucker ....
This is the first time we see Mary grab an angel blade, which means the angel blade Mary carries the entirety of this season is Asa’s.
Kim Rhodes makes a delightfully evil demon, and seems to have had a blast doing so. “I so hoped you’d kill your mom! Wouldn’t that be a riot?”
(also, my brother’s dog is named bucky, so every time a character says bucky’s name i just get really distracted.)
I like the hunters all saying different parts of the exorcism.
“That sucked.” Poor Jody!
You guys, Bucky sucks. Also, hanging the person you actually killed from a tree so that no one would suspect you actually killed him is like ... so opposite of what the demon-dealing-happy Winchetsters would do in this scenario that they can’t even comprehend how to handle it.
I just realized this ep even has an Agatha Christie-style reveal, with the murderer confessing all at the end after being revealed. (And everyone else’s identities/crimes/motivations being revealed FIRST.)
“I was wrong. Asa did have a family. I’ve even got grandchildren.” Wow, it’s almost like hunters can have families too.
“Mom to mom....” Why, oh why did Jody and Mary not hang out more?? (It’s because those fuckers at the CW cancelled Wayward Sisters before it could get filmed.)
Also, this scene between Billie and Mary is so. good. “She’s not alone.” Dean. Buddy. I love you forever. “Then I guess you’re just going to have to wait.” Winchesters.” This scene is just *kisses fingers like an Italian chef* “So does this mean you’re coming home?” “Well, not yet, see I’m only contracted for like 10 episodes this season ....”
And scene.
I mean. This episode, man. Everything about it is criminally underrated. It’s not very flashy in terms of mytharc plot, but it contains so much rich worldbuilding, such great writing and acting, and a healthy dose of ominous foreshadowing the likes of which only Yockey can pull off.
Yockey knows the perfect characters to mix and match. (And I think the scenes between Lisa Berry and Jensen Ackles this episode became the inspiration for their even better scene in “Advanced Thanatology.”) This is the only episode we ever get that has Mary AND Jody AND Billie, three of the best characters. He also creates delightful original characters (which we’ll see again with Tasha Banes, Lily Sunder, Noah the eyeball-eating monster). I know this is the casting director, and not Yockey, but each of the actors playing those original characters were on point.
I also am a total fan of the Agatha Christie tropes -- to my knowledge, that had never been done with Supernatural before, but this episode was just the perfect combination of the two.
I can’t think of any major problems with this one, or even really minor ones. (I mean, the scene with Sam and Dean talking about Jody’s sex life is pretty awkward....) Keep ‘em coming, Steve Yockey. I will watch everything you ever write forever.

Trust in me
Chapter 21 - If I’m gonna be alone, let it be with you
Growing up as the black sheep of the family means that Jensen has had his share of awkward dinners. From the not so discreet whispers every time he entered a room, to the side looks every time they thought he wasn’t looking.
He never got used to it, even if he tried. He always left with a feeling of shame, of hate and, much to his regret, sadness. How much of a bad person do you have to be for your own family not to love you?
But he doesn’t feel ashamed to have Jared next to him. He doesn’t feel sad because his family is judging him. He feels hate, of course, because that’s his general feeling toward them, but most of all, he feels happy. Because when he turns his head from the dirty looks and whispers, he find a pair of lovely eyes, glued on him, and a smile that could light up a whole room just by itself.
Jared doesn’t care that everybody hates him, and if he doesn’t care, neither does Jensen.
“So Jared” His mom said “What are you doing in life?”
“I’m still in school, ma’am” Jared says, a polite smile on his face.
“Oh, of course. And what are your future plans? What do you want to do after?”
Jensen tries to remain calm, not wanting anyone to notice his discomfort, but he’s chewing on the meal a little too hard and he can’t stop staring at Jared, praying to god that he doesn’t say anything about his real life occupation. He knows Jared is too smart to do it, but he also knows that he takes a distinct pleasure in embarrassing people.
“I want to start my own business. You know, from the ground up?  Finding clients and building a customer base ”
It’s far enough from the truth not to raise any suspicion while still being quite accurate, and Jensen finally allows himself to breathe.
“In what area?”
“Jesus, mom, it’s not a job interview” Josh says “Let the poor boy eat”
“Of course, of course, I’m sorry Jared”
“Not a problem, ma’am” Jared says, dropping his head to his plate again
Jensen frowns, his stare moving from Jared to Josh. His brother doesn’t look relaxed nor happy. He looks scared. Honest to god scared, with shaking hands and beads of sweat dripping down his forehead.
He thought Jared was scared of Josh, but he isn’t sure of that anymore because right now, they both look equally scared, and he can’t think of a decent reason to explain it.
Except…
“My boyfriend is in the bathroom” Jared had said that night, back at the club.
And so was Josh, a few minutes later, ball deep into someone that Jensen assumed was just another girl, but maybe those soft moans weren’t coming from a girl, maybe that was Jared, all long.
He can see them, can see them perfectly. He doesn’t even have to try to think that hard. He can picture Jared’s long legs around Josh’s waist, begging him to fuck him, and he doesn’t want to see it, doesn’t want to see any of it, but he can’t think of anything else but his big brother stealing Jared from him.
“Jensen, are you alright?” Jared asks, a worried look on his face.
Everybody is looking at him, their eyes locked on him, but he doesn’t see them. He only sees Jared, with his big blue eyes and perfect lips. The bruises on his face are almost completely gone, the soft skin under them slowly reappearing.
“I need to get out”
He doesn’t wait for anyone to answer, not giving a shit about what any of their opinions would have been. He walks straight to the door, taking his jacket on his way out.
“Can I come?” Jared asks with a small voice, probably afraid that Jensen would leave him
“Yeah”
He doesn’t need to think twice about it. As much as he wants to be alone, there is no way he will leave Jared behind with any of them. He wants to be alone, but with Jared next to him.
They both exit the house quickly, not even bothering to give one last look at his family.
The air is cold outside, hitting them both right in the face, but Jensen makes the most of it, allowing his mind to focus on the cold instead of everything else.
They didn’t have time to go explore the town, but it looks beautiful. There are a few houses here and there, in an old style typical of the country.  Not a soul outside anywhere except them.
There are mountains far away, hidden behind the clouds, and Jensen wonders if they could go and see them closer, maybe even climb them. He heard his mother mentioning a castle up there somewhere, so he assumes they are accessible to the public.
“Wanna talk about it?” Jared asks after a while “You seemed really upset”
“No” Jensen says, chasing away the thoughts that are coming back.
“Did I… did I say something?”
“What? No, it’s-“ He sighs, turning toward Jared before frowning “You didn’t take your jacket?”
“Well, you seemed in a hurry…”
Jared says it like it’s the most natural thing on earth. Like somehow, his own comfort didn’t matter as much as Jensen’s. It’s something he's noticed about Jared, how he would pretend that he doesn’t care about anyone else but himself while still doing what he can to meet others needs. He doesn’t think he’s aware of it. It’s probably something he developed through the years, a way for him to protect himself while satisfying his clients.
But Jensen isn’t one of his clients, and Jared shouldn't put Jensen's needs before his own.
Jensen takes his jacket off and puts it over Jared's shoulders, the too big garment swallowing him like a blanket.
“Here” He says “Wouldn’t want you to be cold”
“Thanks” Jared says, a light blush spreading on his cheeks “So? You want to talk about it or are we just gonna walk until we can’t feel our legs anymore?”
Jensen doesn’t answer right away, his eyes scanning the place for a place to sit. There’s a bench across the street, and he slides his arm around Jared, urging him to start walking.
“Let’s sit there. No need to stand up”
He’s supposed to take his arm off, but he doesn’t, enjoying the feeling of having Jared so close to him a little more than what he would dare to admit.
They sit as close to each other as they can, Jared providing the heat for both of them since Jensen doesn’t have his coat on anymore.
“You know my brother, don’t you?”
“I don’t-“
“Jay, please” Jensen cuts him off “Listen, I’m not angry. Well, I am, but not at you, alright?”
“I’m sorry. I should have told you” Jared admits “But I swear, I didn’t know he was your brother until I saw him at your mom’s house”
“I know” He says, trying to shut out the jealousy inside him. He’s angry at his brother for doing that to his wife, but he’s also jealous that he got to have something that Jensen can’t even dream of having without feeling guilty. “It was a one time thing, right?”
“I don’t know, I guess?”
“What do you mean you guess?” Jensen frowns, his heart picking up. What if Josh hurt him? What if he did something to him, the same way all those fuckers did before?
He’ll kill him. Plain and simple. He’ll slit his throat with his own nails if he has to.
“Well, Paige didn’t tell me anything. I know he came for Elsa a couple of times, and for Patricia, too. But I have no idea how many times for Paige”
“What? I don’t . . . what are you talking about?” He asks, unable to figure out what Jared is explaining.
“What are you talking about?” Jared asks, suddenly unsure about his own answer
“I’m talking about you and my brother having sex”
“Ew, I didn’t have sex with your brother!” Jared says, slapping Jensen’s shoulder “You’re an ass!”
“No, I’m not! I saw the way you looked at each other, and you both went to the bathroom to… do your thing at the same time!”
“I didn’t go to the bathroom. The guy I was with did, but I didn’t go with him. I’m not a dirty bathroom whore”
“I never said that!” Jensen defends himself “I just . . . how do you know him then? If it wasn’t from that night?”
“Well, your brother is a regular client. Not of mine, but of Elsa, Patricia, and Lisa for awhile and now Paige I guess”
“Fuck” Jensen says, letting himself go limp on the bench “Four girls. He cheated on his wife with four different girls”
“Yeah. He knows I know him, and I guess he got scared I would tell you. Which I did, so maybe he was right to be scared”
“But you were scared, too” Jensen points out “Did you think he would hurt you?”
“No, but I was scared he would tell your mom what I am, and that you would… I don’t know… tell me to leave?”
“I won’t ever tell you to leave”
Jared shrugs his shoulders, not buying his promise, but Jensen knows better than to argue. Instead, he takes Jared by the shoulders and softly pulls him against him, until Jared’s head is resting on his shoulder.
Jared doesn’t protest, doesn’t even try, and a wave of relief goes through Jensen. He drops his head on top of Jared’s, his hair tickling his nose.
“You gonna tell her? Your sister in law?”
“I don’t know” Jensen admits “She’s pregnant, and they already have three kids. She'd be happier, if she doesn’t know anything. I don’t… I don’t want to ruin their family. What would you do?”
“I can’t answer this for you. But I think… I think that people should deal with their own shit. You could tell his wife, sure, but I think she already knows. I saw the way they act together, how she pushes his hand away every time he tries to touch her. They smile but it doesn’t reach their eyes. She already knows, but if you tell her, then she’ll have to admit it.” Jared turned around until he could look at Jensen “And even if you decide to tell her, you don’t have to feel guilty for saying what you think is right. You didn’t destroy your family. Your father did. And your brother destroyed his own”
Jensen’s throat is too tight for him to answer, tears already starting to fill his eyes. Fuck Jared and his way of knowing exactly what to say.
He sniffed, tightening his hold on Jared until there wasn't any more space between them.
“For a dirty bathroom whore, you’re not that bad”
Jared laughs, hiding his head in Jensen’s neck, and a smile spreads across Jensen’s face, like every time he hears Jared’s laugh.
“Come on, we should go home”
Jensen is the first to stand up, extending his hand to Jared, who accepts it gladly.
“Your mom’s gonna be mad. I don’t think she really likes me”
“Yeah well, my mom doesn’t like me either so who cares?”
“Maybe if you didn’t storm out during family dinner…”
“Oh come on, you were glad I took you out of it”
“No I wasn’t! I didn’t even get dessert!”
They keep talking as they make their way towards the house, Jared complaining about not having eaten enough while Jensen assures him that he ate plenty, but finally agreeing on stealing something from the fridge before turning in.
They both pretend not to have noticed that Jared never let go of Jensen’s hand, their fingers interlacing and rubbing each other from time to time, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
