#but you know legends never die...
how much do the demigods really know about Percy?
Frank and Hazel first knew him as just a guy who showed up with a goddess on his back. everything he does from that point onward is equally bizarre, and certainly impressive, but perhaps not exactly legend-worthy. by the time they’ve won the battle against Polybotes at New Rome, their experience with him confirms he’s a badass, but the hints and jokes he drops about his past can’t all be real, right?
Jason, Leo, and Piper would have been showered in stories at Camp Half-Blood. did you know, Percy fought and killed a Kindly One and the Minotaur before he even got to Camp the first time? did you know, he was the first one on our side to suspect Kronos was rising? did you know, he revealed who poisoned Thalia’s Tree? did you know, he and Annabeth held the sky? did you know he crashed his own funeral? did you know he made a hurricane?
did you know, did you know, did you know?
but how many of Percy’s stories do the campers really know? what did Annabeth and Percy keep to themselves in their retellings? do they know Luke forced Percy to fight to the death in an arena? were they told Percy actively chose to be the subject of the prophecy to protect Nico, who almost certainly hated him at that point? do they know Percy was the reason Mount Saint Helens erupted? do they know he fought Hades and his army, and won?
the campers all think Percy is a legend, but when they find out there’s more? that’s when they start to think of him as a god.

@slippedfromgrace wanted to be kidnapped? Too bad, kidnapping anyway!
Today, his orcas brought him something... interesting. A limp... seagull... person? The surface has so many amazing things! Carefully, Caprice fastens an air breather’s contraption around this surface-dweller’s head, though he does poke the stranger a few times with his many spines.
“...Can you hear me? Please don’t be dead...” The lionfish gently prods at the seagull’s head, before choosing to play with the pretty black hair.

I think I'm finally ready to speak from my heart. Grief hits me in so many ways it's crazy — sometimes I hate being such an empathetic person but I guess it's helped me deal with the passing of Techno.
It truly astonishes me that from the day that we were told about his cancer, I never ever lost hope. There was a ridiculous amount of hope in me from the beginning to the very end. No one. And I mean, no one, has ever instilled so much hope into me in my 20 years of living. Knowing that I'm capable of that, is something I'll cherish forever.
I've been watching Technoblade for, maybe 6 to 7 years now. I remember that I just had to find out who that player on the Hypixel leaderboard was. Seeing his stats go up and up — and then Minecraft Mondays, man he was outrageous. Unparalleled. So I'm kind of old, therefore I was watching for names like Bajan, Cap, etc. all the golden era greats that I love. Then this king flies in, and destroys them all. I was constantly in awe.
I'm always fascinated by the people that can just do their job so incredibly well, like Techno. And also his humor was just spot on. I never really watched any of the dsmp stuff but I did watch the 100k duel, and oh my lord. What a beast.
But regardless of his consistent hunter status. He had such a big heart, and you could just tell. And that's what kept me around for so long. Techno just knew how to keep our spirits up, and make us laugh and motivated. Unbelievably witty and intelligent.
I will never hear his voice again, or his jokes, or watch him destroy yet another army, or see him buy a huge house with all his hard earned money, or hear about him starting a family 20 years later.
But I will not let go of Technoblade. There will be a time where someone will ask, "Who was he?" – and I'm going to sit down and tell the story of the greatest MC Player, YT and person to ever live.
We must continue what he stood for. Techno raised hundreds of thousands for Cancer research. We need to continue this, because for Technoblade to live on forever, he must live on in us. In each and every one of us. We must all have him in our hearts, and make sure that we stop another incredible person like Alex disappear from our lives.
We will continue to be what Technoblade taught us to be. Fighters.
If every single one of us has Technoblade in our heart. Technoblade will never ever die.

omg when forestella covered legends never die on immortal songs someone said is this a forshadowing for worlds in korea this year and i did not believe because forestella's music and riot's music are very different and the fanbases are basically 2 different circles
but why am i just now seeing hyungho also covered rise at their seoul concert a couple months ago?!!! this was around the same time as their immortal songs too like 2 league songs back to back that's kinda suspicious omg unless he's a fan but why now all of a sudden?! when worlds is heading back to korea ahhh
i don't think they're mainstream enough though but if it manages to happen even if they're not doing the main song i will explode maybe it'll be like a featuring like bobby did for rise

Double Open Starter: Play Nice (Pandora/Sabrine)
Sabrine huffs and grumbles, crossing her arms and leaning back against a tree a bit away from the fire though still in view. Damned Ciri. She wouldn’t be here if she didn’t (apparently) have to be. Not if the cupcake was coming.
A tap on her shoulder makes her turn. Oh, speaking of the cupcake--
“Hey, be nice. It’s a lovely day, a great Beltane... and my birthday?” Pandora looks at her pleadingly, nudging her slightly.
Sabrine huffs. “Do I get a choice?”
“No,” Pandora admits, shrugging with a smile.
“Great,” Sabrine grumbles, shaking her head to herself and silently pleading for mercy from the gods.

@tarnishedxknight sent: ( shield ) ( reverse ) : receiver jumps in harm’s way to defend sender and is injured, themselves
Faegalad knew those woods. It was a familiarity that ran in them like the life in her veins, but... she could not place it. It brought comfort and fear, but it was a feeling she dare not share. She knew the others would not believe her, and feared they would take her weapons from her once more. That they would think her mad, and lock her aside as they questioned her and her sanity like they had in the beginning. And... truthfully, she questioned if she was even right with how she felt, or if the hope of familiarity was clouding her judgment.
But, regardless of how she felt, her focus was on the mission. The Avengers had been alerted to a hidden location that they feared HYDRA, or whomever their enemy was, could be using, and they had to scope it out. To see if it was true, or an unwarranted fear. And it was a mission she gladly accepted - eager for the chance of pace. Eager to be away from the compound, and doing something she was familiar with. She was a soldier at heart, and had done her fair share of scouting missions in the past. This was something she was confident in doing, and something she felt would prove to be of little difficulty. And with Basch flanking her if they did run into trouble, she held little concern for whatever danger they may encounter.
Until there was a dark flash of movement out of the corner of her eye, at least, and her heart stopped. She notched an arrow and drew taut the string of her dogwood bow, but... nothing. She felt her heart pound, her ears filled with the sound of her own blood as her breathing grew shallow, and she searched the shadows of the forest for any signs of movement. Something had been there - she knew something had been there. The movement had seemed like that of a warg, but... surely that wasn't right. Those wretched beasts had to be gone. There were still wolves, but not--
Too late, she heard the warning shout, and as she spun to face the more urgent threat, she barely had time to register the glint of a sword as a broad figure charged toward her, and the movement of Basch jumping to her defense--
It happened rapidly. The horrid sound of a sword striking through armor, the quiet hiss of the arrow as she released. The Uruk fell just after Basch with her arrow in its throat, but she heeded them no mind as she fell to her knees at the former knight's side - her expression twisted with anger. Her bow falling to the ground beside her. "{You fool}," she hissed in Sindarin, but her eyes betrayed her guilt and fear, and her hands hovered over his wound as she focused her energy on healing him as best she could. Her mind unable to accept what the fallen enemy was. "Lasto beth nîn, Basch. Focus on me. You will not fall today."
