Thinking about c!awesamponk in different timelines

Eret told us, that his and Foolish lore would reveal that hole dsmp was one huge cycle, that resets again and again and again. c!awesamponk but in one of those cycles they are enemies. They hate each other with the passion of thousands of suns. c!Sam thinks that c!Ponk is unpredictable and chaotic to the point of being similar to c!Dream. His pranks are dangerous and often start conflict on the server. Meanwhile, c!Ponk thinks that c!Sam is a control freak, who always suspects everyone of everything. He is too serious and can't take a joke, which often leads to misunderstandings and potential harm. They are so different and their personalities clash with each other like fire and water.

But, sometimes...sometimes, c!Ponk can't help but be amazed at c!Sam's builds. He can't help but look at gigantic and complicated structures and want to know more about how they work. He knows that c!Sam is smart, but with every build and machine, c!Ponk is in awe of what c!Sam's intelligence is capable of. Meanwhile, c!Sam can't help but sometimes admit to himself that he finds c!Ponk pranks...funny. He looks at how c!Ponk behaves and it's like looking at nature itself - so fierce and chaotic and unstoppable but in some ways so beautiful. He looks at the big lemon tree and has so many questions, how did c!Ponk manage to do that Sometimes, c!Ponk let himself slip and ask c!Sam about his builds. Not because he wants to mess with them, but because he is so genuinely interested in how they work. c!Sam would then allow himself to talk about the secrets of how every small detail works and then ask how did c!Ponk managed to grow trees so big? They hate each other, but they can't help but be amazed at what both of them can do. And how much it means to them. Despite knowing how some of c!Sam builds work - c!Ponk never messes with them. Despite how much c!Sam knows about how easy it would be to destroy the Lemon Tree - he never tries to burn it.

Sometimes, they allow themselves to dream about what would happen if they were similar? What could they achieve together? But it passes, and they are back to hating each other. In the end they are too different. They would never work with each other well.

Big Brain: Nobody ELSE knows that Sam’s a Warden hybrid either. So nobody is there to explain what the FUCK just happened, or why Sam is suddenly so happy. Certain people are now convinced that Dream has somehow mind-controlled him.

Mega Brain: Punz is the only one who knows. Dream suggested this and he went along with it just to see what would happen.

Galaxy Brain: This is all part of Punz’s TRUE master plan, because he took one look at Sam’s sexually repressed ass and one look at Dream’s sleep-deprivation-fuelled conspiracy board and decided that they both really need to get laid.

Ultra Mega Galaxy Brain: Wilbur (who gets revived at some point) is the only person to immediately put two and two together as to what happened, and has decided to Cause Problems a la declaring HIMSELF Dream’s one true love and being the first of the months-long series of cockblocks to actively be attempting to stop Sam from getting laid. A side plot begins with Punz trying to stop Wilbur from interfering with his master plan.

I see all of this and I raise you:

c!Punz isn't the only person on the server who knows; Ponk is the only person on the server who knows. Punz has no idea. He's extremely worried about c!Sam hiding away and not allowing visitors into the prison.

Meanwhile c!Ponk is totally chill because he and Sam talked all of this out, and he's just happy that Sam found a second partner whose into the whole getting locked in a prison for awhile thing. It was never something that Ponk wanted, and there's no jealousy there since they talked it out.

The problems start when c!Wilbur gets revived (c!Sam very nicely asks c!Dream to do it b/c c!Tommy won't stop trying to break into the prison and he's hoping this will keep Tommy away), and decides that Dream is his One True Love who he needs to rescue from the evil prison. Wilbur recruits Punz in his quest, and keeps trying to break into the prison but he's kinda shit at it.

Meanwhile c!Ponk 100% knows what they're up to, but thinks it's funny and hey, isn't part of the tradition warding off any other possible suitors? This is Sam's job and he wouldn't be much of a Warden if he didn't have anything to ward against!

Anyways while all of this is happening c!Dream is just trying to figure it out what it means when c!Sam is obviously wearing cologne and put a bowtie on his prison warden armor set.

to me cponk is like objectively one of if not the most influential characters to the dsmp because he started it all. he was one of the original eight members and he was the trailblazer for all the lore on like. that first day when eberyeon was fucking with his lemon tree.

i’m not googling anything for this because it’s 2am but i also have like a terrible memory so i may get things wrong or miss them entirely but

i remember being there for sam’s valentines day stream and it was so sweet and funny. the surprise ponk left for him was so fucking elaborate and well put together,, sam was like “ponk made this?? :(“ and it was genuinely such a beautiful moment.

c!ponk was, at her essentials, a character who cared, a character who was along for the ride, who went with the flow of life and the love it brought her, showing her love through jokes and acts of service and gifts.

he loved gently, and he loved sam because he was sam, the friend he knew from day 1, the person who was always around from the start. he remembered every little detail about sam and he utilized all of it. he covered it with a veil of humor but he cared so much.

and yeah, sam loved him back, but sam was too far in deep, he was too committed to that prison and keeping dream in it no matter what and he made a choice.

and yeah i can spiral about that choice all day long but i’m more thinking about the fallout.

do you think ponk used to cut sam’s hair for him, and that after he cut ponk’s arm off, his hair grew long and uncontrollable. do you think his tools began to wear more because ponk would oftentimes repair them for him when he wasn’t using them. do you think he started to be just a little more ruthless because he lost his heart when he lost ponk.

do you think ponk often just spent time wondering if sam was still okay even though he had hurt him so much. even if he wanted to hate him. even if he did hate him at times.

and when he was angry, when he shouted at sam, asking why he “took something that couldn’t be replaced”, his hand, still nobody took him seriously.

everything c!ponk ever had was burnt to the ground. it was how they started and it was how they ended. (as far as i remember i don’t think she got a conclusive finale either which sucks.)

the egg preyed on people’s vulnerabilities, and i don’t think it’s a coincidence that ponk isolated themself in a cave, saying on stream that they were lonely, before joining the eggpire.

i don’t think it’s a coincidence that before joining the eggpire, he tried to speak to sam, who simply ignored the problem at hand and then tried to deflect blame when he got angry at him for cutting his fucking arm off. and then sam just stormed off when ponk was rightfully outraged.

…even then, though, ponk tried to mask her pain with humor, up until the end.

this is just a jumbled mess of thoughts because i’m too tired and too silly for a coordinated rant but here !!

Thinking about c!awesamponk in different timelines part 3

c!awesamponk but in one of those cycles they managed to stay together.

On this server, you are destined to lose something or someone. It's a rule at this point. For some reason, they decided that they were not ready to lose each other. And so they stayed.

They managed to listen to each other, to find the correct words, the correct reasons, to not completely destroy each other. They find a way to stick with each other, even with all the damage they've done.

It is not the same. Some jokes never land and whenever they start feeling comfortable being around each other, they catch themselves and think "what am I doing?..." And the awkwardness returns and they avoid each other like the plague, until they would be able to be in each other presence again. It's a never-ending cycle.

c!Sam confesses that he is afraid that it will never end. That they would not only never come as close as to what they had, but are destined to hurt each other again. c!Ponk says that it's expectable: you don't just forget about those things. But they also say that it's how life is. And maybe they will never be the same, but maybe they will be something else. Not better but different. And that by itself is not a bad thing.

c!Sam wants to believe that. So he stays and they try to build something from the pieces of what is probably broken beyond repair. It won't be the same, but considering everything they don't deserve to be the same.

In the end its just them, trying not to lose each other. Sometimes they think about what could have been, but thinking about it hurts, so they try focusing on other stuff. c!Ponk managed to grow another Lemon Tree. c!Sam managed to build a new and efficient farm. They bake together on the weekends.

The Life goes on.
