I've seen some people put together some headcanons for Vickie and thought I'd share some of mine!! I love her so much Vickie my beloved blorbo...

First and foremost: truckgirl Vickie truckgirl Vickie truckgirl Vickie!!!!!! She drives a burgundy 1977 GMC Sierra she fixed with her dad over summer of '84, and she loves it. It's her baby. She has probably seriously considered becoming a mechanic as a career, and she loooves getting her hands dirty.

Has definitely named her truck. Can do that cool trick on flat roads where, if you shift gears smoothly, the car will keep rolling without gas! She uses this to woo Robin!! I know it in my heart!!!

I saw a post ages ago about drag racing in Hawkins because there's nothing else to do in bumfuck nowhere and tbh I see Vickie doing that too. Maybe her and Steve have bonded over driving fast or what have you?

She can do french and Dutch braids on herself, but gets a bit mixed up when trying to do others!

Her clothing aesthetic is sort of all over the place but she loves patterns. Classic patterns like houndstooth and paisley or more modern colour block or squiggly patterns. She probably mismatches patterns but colour coordinates.

I also think she likes long heavy skirts in winter, and sundresses in summer. Jeans and trousers are good but don't have the same patterns. Probably owns a few coveralls for working on cars. I see her rocking an overall look too. Anyways point is she's cute cute cute!

Idk if I want her to have siblings or not maybe she's either an eldest or the family baby?

Listen...I would probably say this even if Amybeth wasn't in AWaE...but also. Vickie loves Anne of Green Gables. The sense of wonder and delight in everyday things really speaks to her. She's a simple small town girl, and sometimes it's complicated but sometimes it really isn't.

She knows she likes girls, but it's easier to only like boys. So even though she's had crushes on girls before she hasn't really done anything about them until she got a crush on and started getting vibes from Robin!

She thinks Robin is funny and charming. Like Robin will blurt out some sassy remark and Vickie have to stifle a giggle. Robin says goodnight to her trumpet as she puts it away and Vickie is like 😍😍

Lots of people whisper about Robin and Steve being weirdos but Vickie thinks they're cute! Yeah maybe they're incomprehensible in terms of whatever their deal is, but Vickie is entranced by this odd behaviour and wishes to know more. When stobin have silent conversations solely through eye contact and eyebrow movement at bizarre times Vickie's first thought is not "what is wrong with these freaks?" (derogatory) it is "what is wrong with these freaks?" (wants to put them in a jar)

My parents got a new car and I honestly can't stand it. There are no buttons and dials and switches. There's no cd player and no radio either. Everything's digital and screens and Bluetooth. There isn't even a key to turn, it's all wireless and touchless and awful. I miss my dad's rusty blue pickup truck with its cd player and visible ventilation and falling down ceiling and all the dials and knobs and switches and buttons and DIALS!! DIALS!!!!

I LOVE going everywhere by bike. Don't need to wait for a bus. Don't need to cram myself into a bus with (urgh) people. Or even worse, what feels like every single student in town. I still get home in about the same amount of time. I'm so so flexible including with places. Like yeah sure, let's go there! I don't care if the next bus station is far away. Doesn't matter to me.

Stayed out late with friends recently. Two of em had to get their family to come pick them up because that's too far to walk and it was too late for buses. A different friend lives like 30 minutes away but always walks and their way goes through a small park where literally no one is at with few lanterns so it's pitch black and I could literally just walk them home and then take the bike which is faster and has its own light and feels and probably is safer than walking those dark ass streets at night alone.

Like. I can just do all that. And yeah, sometimes when I'm not doing too well I feel like collapsing afterwards and yeah, maybe my fingers feel like falling off a lot at this time of year but that's like. SO worth it. I have no idea how people can live and NOT go everywhere by bike. Like if it's more than 20-30 minutes maybe but even with hills.... I fucking love my bike.

i got honked at TWICE on my short run to the pharmacy and back. once for not slamming gas into the intersection in the quarter of a millisecond after the light turned green and once for slowing down to turn left GOD THIS IS MY VILLAIN ORIGIN STORY

USB-C to aux adapters work pretty well, assuming you don't need to charge your phone at the same time as you're playing music. There also exist three-way charging/music-playing adapters, but I have no idea if they're any good.

Yeah, I just somehow lost my old convenience store adapter and bought an Apple brand adapter and I have to admit the sound is better, but it's still a significant problem in my life that I can't charge my phone And listen to music on my car speakers at the same time.

u guys remember how I said I wanted to try and get a car this year as one of my resolutions… after months of researching I think I found the one I want. Finally. I am so sick of reading abt and looking at cars 😭

Hey guys, I’m here to announce that I’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus, both from this blog and Hello Again.

Long story long, being an art major is keeping me incredibly busy and stressed, work kept me busy too but I just found out I’m probably going to get fired soon for a mistake I’ve been making for about a year that’s cost the business money, this morning I got into a thankfully minor car accident, and I also just found out an hour ago that my grandmother is in the hospital. Because of AND on top of all this, my mental health has taken a nosedive. Suffice to say I’ve got a lot to juggle at the moment, and I need to cut out as much unnecessary responsibility and stress as I can. Therapist’s orders.

I’m not abandoning the fic or this blog! I promise! I’m just going to have to go silent for a while (not that I’ve been very active here recently anyway… I’ve been swamped for a long time now >_>) I still have a couple asks in my inbox that I will 100% definitely get to eventually, but I don’t know exactly how long I’ll be gone tbh, so, they’ll have to gather a little dust in the meantime.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, and I look forward to getting back into

(PS: when the fnaf movie comes out I HOPE to gush about it with other fnaf fans, so I might come back briefly so we can all scream together. No promises, but hopefully my schedule and life in general permits it.)
