Are you curious about what South Park ships other people in the fandom know about and how they feel about them?

I've been thinking a lot about how varied the SP fandom's shipping culture is, so I made this! It's a survey containing every single SP ship I've seen in art, or fic, or just heard people talking about (every single ship between the kids, that is). If you have the time, please help me by taking and sharing the survey! I'll be posting results from time to time on this blog.

Is this anonymous?

Yes. There is no place you’re asked to give your name/username, this survey is not collecting emails, and you don’t even have to sign into Google to do it. It’s totally anonymous so please answer as truthfully as you’d like.

What’s this for? / Why are you doing this?

The pursuit of knowledge! South Park is such a huge fandom with so many ships and the fandom's opinion and knowledge have shifted dramatically over the years. I just want to see where it’s at right now. Also I like procrastinating real world responsibilities by making consequenceless projects for myself.

Why are the ships listed in the order that they are?

When writing this all out, I wrote down individual characters and the ships they’re a part of. I started with Stan (arguably the main character of the show) and then went from there. When a character didn’t have a ton of ships by themself, I grouped them with other characters. The ships were inserted into the survey alphabetically but I’ve set the survey to randomize the question order so there’s as little bias as possible.

My deepest apologies for forgetting a pairing. I did my best to think up every single ship I’ve ever seen included in fics or depicted in fanart or discussed by people. There is a final question where you may make me aware of one (1) ship you didn’t see. This survey is already a behemoth though, so I don’t think I’ll go back and insert any additional pairings unless a lot of people suggest one particular ship. Same thing for any poly ships and ships between the South Park parents/adults (the latter may get its own poll if I find the inspiration).

Can I post this to [other social media sites/Discord group chats /anywhere]?

Please do! Getting accurate results for a survey like this requires a large crowd. I actively encourage and ask you to please share this with your friends and followers wherever you can. You could even pretend you made the survey for whatever twisted reason. I don’t care, I’ll still get the data I want.

A/N: i know tweek technically isn't apart of catg, but since he often is in fanon i decided to add him!! people r always debating whether jimmy or tweek is in craigs gang but why not both!!!!!!

personally i see tweek as the butters of catg. like he's there sometimes but not all the time ykwim

whenever craig and tweek get into a dispute it's like watching your parents argue

despite you being the same age as tolkien, your parents often leave you with him as your babysitter (your parents love him to death) and you two always end up playing games and eating snacks

they're kind of. confused about you. like craig might treat you like butters at first but gets berated by the rest for it once they all realized ur actually cool and not stuck-up

jimmy ruffles your hair and treats you like you're his little sibling, and goes 'oooooo' and asks constant questions if you have a crush on someone

if you're shorter than tweek he leans on your shoulder or head, because he knows it pisses you off. then he giggles deviously about it

craig is kind of. always trying to get your evil side out. like he's completely convinced you're not 100% angel and he tries to annoy you to get you to get angry

u and clyde hang out a lot. like you're always at each other's houses, people at school started to actually think you two were related

lots of video game nights. you all come to someones house (usually tolkiens because he's loaded) and play video games on the couch and in his room all night long. also lots of sleepovers

i feel like when ur choosing teams for a sport or a game, some of them are begging for you on their team and some of them are begging that you aren't on their team

jimmy, tolkien, and clyde want u on their team. craig does not. he doesn't because he thinks u suck (he doesn't mean it, he just wants to be a dick. unless you actually do suck)

with tweek it depends. like he might agree with craig and he might not. it really depends on what the thing you're doing is

clyde leans on your shoulder when you two are standing in the halls with a smug look on his face (he wants to embarrass you)

tolkien (and sometimes jimmy) always help you with studying and homework. like they'll teach you the entire subject and make sure you're prepared for the test

jimmy cracks (un)funny jokes to embarrass you in front of your friends

they get all pissy if someones annoying you. craig in particular is not afraid to get physical if you're getting bullied or something. he'll never admit it though

tweek likes to annoy you, but he's also probably one of the more sentimental ones (next to tolkien and jimmy). like he'll be there for you emotionally and stuff, even though he isn't always the best with feelings

jimmy is very encouraging. like if you're down or anxious about something he'll listen intently and give you the most motivational pep talk you've ever heard. he cares a lot and shows it with quality time and just being there!!!

tolkien is very good at listening. he might not understand everything you're going through, but he tries very hard to hear you out and give advice. he also reassures you that he's always there for you

craig isn't the best at showing his own emotions in the first place, so he's kinda. panicky if you're sad. he's learned a lot from tweek though, and will listen closely and try to validate what you say.

clyde doesn't always understand, but he tries. he'll listen to you talk and gives shitty advice, and is generally kinda knuckle-headed. he genuinely cares though

craig tells you about his silly little interests, and like forces you to play with stripe. he also rants to you about space and shit and you always fall asleep to it

whenever everyone falls asleep in the living room while playing video games, you're the one left awake, and you can't help but feel immense happiness at how peaceful they look.

Nah but fr if the male reader caught Clyde in his room stealing his clothes or accessories, he'll pick him up, carry him to the other room where others are, sit him down, and lock his room so that he wouldn't come. 💀

If you put a password on your closet, Clyde would definitely eavesdrop on you typing out the password so when you leave, he'll enter the code to get inside your closet.

tolkien: i had spaghettios once when i was like 9 and never again. it was a very upsetting experience for me.

craig: it's not soup it's noodles in sauce. that's like saying spaghetti is soup

craig: well it's considered soup bc they're SUBMERGED in sauce. spaghetti and sauce is more like. a complementary relationship rather than a dominating one

clyde: sauce based soups exist. that’s what spaghettios is. sauce to noodle ratio is greater than that of a regular pasta. the consistency of the sauce is more adjacent to soup sauce than pasta sauce. it’s canned and it’s from a soup company

craig: what do you mean sauce based soup. corn is canned is corn a soup?

clyde: but is pasta canned? is a can from a soup company filled with a sauce with items in it not a soup?

craig: yes this pasta is canned. what kind of a question.

okay, first of all, they sometimes get concerned about your random facts.

like really concerned.

I mean, y’all can be calmly chilling in the back of the reccess playground and then out of nowhere you go like :

“did you know that in the French Revolution the aristocrats condemned to the guillotine fought each other to see who would go first because they knew that after three or four times the guillotine wasn’t going to cut their heads off at the first try?” you said as if nothing (and out of nowhere) as you calmly played with a stick to try and get the ants to climb to it.

“d-d-ud-de that’s mes-s-sed up-p!” Jimmy said while looking at you with raised eyebrows.

“THEY- ACK- WHAT?!?!? GAH-!!” Tweek started panicking as Craig rolled his eyes at you and took Tweek’s hand to try and calm him down.

“😰😭” Clyde making sobbing noises in the background.

“uh... okay...?” Token said while raising a confused eyebrow at you before shrugging and going back to do whatever on his phone.

Nah but other than that they’re really chill about your human dictionary persona.

They sometimes even appreciate it I may say!

Like, it’s really cool you can tell them the difference inbetween the basil and parsley so they don’t mess up the shopping lol.

Craig is very into your personality (not in a romantic way), it is very interesting to him the way your brain can retain so much useful information.

He really likes the way you calmly explain to Tweek the words he doesn’t understand in the homework so he doesn’t start freaking out.

Clyde gets all whinny and pouty when you correct him in something he said, even if it’s in a genuine way and not in a mocking one!, he is kinda jealous of how you know so many more things that him!

Tweek, even though gets really freaked out by your random facts when they’re not that random and more like- gory / scary, really appreciates your human dictionary capacities, even though one time he punched you in the face after you corrected him on the Gnome’s thing because he was very nervous and stressed that day.

He apologised a ton after it, though.

Jimmy likes your personality too, and loves the look on your face when his jokes have some words that the kids are not used to but you know them and you both start bursting in laughter while everyone is like : ‘bro what 🤨’.

Your random facts when not scary or that strange are also kind of helpful to the group, like- do you have any idea how you saved Clyde’s life after randomly saying ‘hey guys, did you know that the oleander is poisonous?’

CRAIG NEVER RAN SO FAST IN HIS LIFE-

like- you were like ‘wha- wait, what did I do now? 🥲?’ while Token was praying mentally as Craig violently dragged Clyde away from the oleander that he dared him to eat a leaf of for 10 bucks in an internal panic. lol.
