Lately i've been feeling like life doesn't give any joy and felt its weight on my back. Then I tried to go back with a thought when I was actually happy - on my happy childhood days. You could say it worked. I started feeling innocent and life hasn't felt that heavy. But with that also came the bittersweet feeling. The feeling od beauty of these nostalgic feelings and the conciousness of the fact that I won't be able to feel this emotions like then, knowing that these moments are dead for a long time. Feeling they are not endless, they have an end, and because of that end I feel it's still too less to make me happy.

Childhood Days - Remedios (Love Letter Soundtrack)

'후지이 이츠키(여자)'에겐 '후지이 이츠키(남자)'가 추억할 만한 점이 없다는 게 아직도 넘나 슬픈 것. 결혼할 상대였던 '히로코'에게도, 첫사랑인 '후지이 이츠키(여자)'에게도 잊힌 존재가 되는. "후지이 이츠키(남자)는 죽었다고 하더라"라는 말에도 동요 없이 옛 스승과 헤어지는 현재 시점의 '후지이 이츠키(여자)'. 하... 진지충은 오늘도 과몰입 합니다.

'이츠키(여자)'에게 '이츠키(남자)'가 조금 더 의미 있던, 추억할 거리가 있던 동창이었다면 조금 덜 슬펐으려나. 이렇게 아쉬움을 남기는 게 '이와이 슌지' 감독의 의도였을까 싶고.

여기서 제일 불쌍한 인물은 '후지이 이츠키(남자)'인 것 같고요, 내가 보기엔. 현재 시점에서 '히로코'도, '이츠키(여자)'도, 2년 전 죽은 '후지이 이츠키(남자)'를 보내주는 과정에서 저마다 한층 더 성장한다. '첫사랑'이라는 코드에만 꽂히지 않고 남겨진 이들이 배우게 된 걸 보여준 게 참 마음에 들었다.
