there are currently two wolves inside me, one that wants geralt to meet omega!jaskier's and his child while the kid is still young so they'll have both their parents (plus 1 mom if yennefer doesn't resent jaskier) as they grow and another who wants to stick to the show's canon of geralt and jaskier not seeing eachother for 22 years and then one day geralt finds this person with a scary ressemblance to him who says they need help rescuing their dad, a bard who doesn't know when to shut up (besides would be kinda funny to see geralt's reaction to jaskier being basically a dilf lol)
[First Part]
Oh my God in my mind it was the baby version but this also has me at the throat.
There would be a few things at play here like
1. I imagined the baby did not inherit mutant traits (besides some gold specs in his eyes, like, Jaskier had confirmation and once you know it's obvious) and you could hold Geralt at gunpoint he does NOT know how he looked as child anymore. It's absolutely not obvious to him, especially since it's impossible in his head. Only Vesemir would probably go 'oh' at the resemblance because the kid looks exactly like the little one he picked up on the side of a road, over a century ago.
2. Jaskier didn't say something for the last 13/14/15 years of his life, the kid will not go and tell Geralt when his Papa went out of his way to keep this knowledge secret.
Tumblr media
In my mind this has the perfect road trip vibes. And timelines are messy - like Jaskier went down the mountain pregnant it's not 22 years later but who knows what happened inbetween - but Geralt definitely already had all the teenage angst experience with Ciri. He's already a dad!

It's Ciri's sixteenth birthday when she asks her Dad for a polaroid camera. Geralt raises an eyebrow at her, the sentence "I'm not a stupid hipster, Daaaad!" engraved in his mind. But it's her birthday, so he can't really say no, can he?
"If you really want one," he says, "then go up to the attic and look through your Mom's highschool boxes. You can have hers."
Ciri's eyes widen in wonder. She doesn't remember much about her parents, most of it comes from stories other people told her. Often being told how much she resembles her mother, Ciri has started to mimic Pavetta - hoping to connect with her in some way.
So,
Ciri spends her morning in the attic. Sitting on the floor and carefully going through some of the boxes that are labeled "Pavetta - senior year". There's a lot of memories hidden in cardboard treasure chests and she takes her time to enjoy a bit of her Mom's life.
She finds the camera. It's a charming old thing, safely put away in a brightly colored shoulder bag that is adorned with stickers and pins and doodles. It's well loved.
She plays around with it for a bit and to her joy it still works. Then she notices the side pocket on the bag where a little stack of photos must've gone unnoticed. Ciri carefully pulls the pictures out and her heart flutters with excitement as she sees her Mom wildly grinning at her, Ciri's father Duny, standing in the background, talking to somebody.
Flipping through the photos she gets a great inside of what her Mom's highschool time must've been like. The best thing about the find, though, are the pictures Pavetta took of Geralt. She knows Pavetta, Geralt and two other friends were a band in highschool, but getting to see it is a whole new experience. To her surprise, her Dad looks kind of cool behind a set of drums.
And then she sees it. Her eyes grow huge and in disbelief she pulls the photo closer to her head. It's a band picture. Her Mom, her father, her Dad, another girl and an awfully familiar face grin back at her.
Ciri does what every teenager would have done. She pulls out her phone and takes a picture of the polaroid, posts it online with the caption
"so apparently my Mom was in a band with leadsinger (at)JaskiertheBard"
Her post goes viral over night. A few days later her favorite singer and songwriter has sent her a chat request.
Ciri accepts.

Yennskier to Geraskefer concept (Yennefer x Jaskier with some + Geralt at the end)
Ok so what if the very first time Yen and Jaskier ever defend each other, it is a complete shock to both of them and happens (of all places) in front of his parents?
(TW: Yen is in disguise so some of the flirting could be read as dubcon but no bards were hurt in the making of this fic, I promise)
So when they first meet, Yen and Jaskier snipe at each other relentlessly, right?
Scheming, devious, calamitous witch.
Useless cock for brains.
Geralt has taken to tuning them out completely.
By complete random bad luck, Yen learns one night in tavern gossip that Jaskier isn’t his real name. She becomes suspicious of his intentions. She brings her concerns to Geralt.
“They said that his true name is Viscount Julian Alfred Pankratz. Is that true?” she asks Geralt.
“His name is Jaskier,” Geralt answers, sounding exhausted.
She pushes. “I know that family. They are well connected, prominent, and bigoted. Your bard could very possibly be asked to turn Ciri in to curry their favor.”
"This is insane, Yen." Geralt drops his head and looks miserably into his tankard. “You two need to start getting along, or I’m going to age at least a century before winter.”
"That's not what this is about!"
She gives up on him. He will never think clearly in these matters. She suspects he has romantic feelings for the bard, which she wouldn't mind, she isn't much for monogamy herself, but oh god, the bard??? That smarmy, whorish little bastard? Unthinkable.
She decides to pay Jaskier’s parents a visit just to reassure herself that they aren’t interested in her daughter.
She disguises herself with a glamour and gets herself on the guest list of one of their fancy parties. She is playing the part of a voluptuous blonde wife of an absent Duke.
Jaskier is supposed to be back at Oxenfurt. That’s what he told Geralt, anyway. But she walks in the door and there he is, holding court at the party in his well fitted satin, with his glinting charming smile, and his flushed cheeks and…and…well…other things that Yen would never admit to noticing.
But what was he doing there?
Why did he lie about being at Oxenfurt? Could he already be colluding with his parents?
At the thought, she expects to feel rage. But an entirely different feeling wells up in her.
Disappointment. Hurt.
She shakes it off. Stupid. She's used too much magic for her glamour. It's making her weak. She takes a seat directly across from him at dinner.
He introduces himself to her and kisses her hand. Julian Alfred Pankratz.
His lips brush the top of her hand and in response she acts like one of his tarts. Only because she has to get him to trust her, obviously. Yen smiles and flutters her eyes at him. His smile is charming. So is his admiration of her form. When his gaze drops ever so briefly to her cleavage she feels something else unexpected.
Warmth.
She shakes that off too.
His parents sit on either side of him. Yen doesn’t waste much time. By the time the second course is served she brings up Ciri and the war.
She doesn’t expect Jaskier’s mom to immediately bring up the horrid witch who is hiding the child. The slut who doesn’t know her place. The evil women who schemes and plots and who gets what she wants by manipulating men with her whoredom.
Yen is used to being called these things by conservative wives. But she finds her eyes flick to Jaskier, and her heart leaps to her throat. It makes her so, so angry that she cares what he will say.
He has always seemed like an enemy? But here? Behind actual enemy lines? He feels like a friend.
Fuck.
But Jaskier averts his eyes. He stares at his plate. He isn’t going to join in, but he isn’t going to defend her either. Obviously.
She DOESNT care godsdamnit. She’s just caught up in the moment. She DOES NOT CARE.
So it is entirely incidental that she experiences immense, sweet relief when he smiles softly to himself before he replies.
“Oh mother,” he says genially, “but I know you. It is simple envy that moves you to such crude accusations.”
His mother splutters. “Do you think I covet her false beauty—“
“Not her beauty.” Jaskier says, still calm. Still affable. “She is beautiful of course, but nothing like that. It’s just that you and father are so small minded and so constantly desperate for the approval of other, equally small minded people, that when you see someone who has a soul and who lives in a free spirited manner, that you ache with envy and impotent rage. And that is why you use such uncharacteristically crude and low language to describe her. That is why you yearn to oppress her and control her. That is why you want to put her in her place.”
Jaskier smiles genially and takes another bite of his lobster.
His parents turn so pink with rage that they look purple.
Yen hasn't felt such satisfaction in so very long. She also isn't used to people taking up for her. Not in places like this.
His father is the first to regain his composure. He smiles and looks around the table at the nervous nobles who are trying their best to ignore the awkwardness.
He smiles around the table. “You have to excuse my son. Instead of accepting the position at Oxenfurt he roams the earth thinking with nothing but his base impulses. He knows nothing of the real world. He is young, idealistic, and completely useless.”
There are nervous chuckles around the table when Yennefer speaks up.
“Actually,” she says in between sips of champagne, “I have heard of your son. Jaskier is that right?”
Jaskier looks at her, surprised and deeply pleased.
His parents smile tight lipped.
“Ridiculous name,” his mother says.
“Well,” says Yen, “you’re probably right. The vaunted thinkers and academics who laud his poetry coast to coast are probably incorrect. The soldiers who offer their undying gratitude that he has documented their deeds are wrong. The traumatized war orphans who cry and say that he has saved their lives with his art are surely absurd. It is you who are correct, I’m sure. Of all the ways you can spend your life, comforting and inspiring people does sound like an utter waste of time.”
She primly sips her drink and the grateful, genuine smile that spreads on Jaskier’s face like the sunrise rockets straight to her soul.
The rest of the dinner is tense, but Yennefer is having a wonderful time. Conversing with a Jaskier like this---he is adoring and attentive--it is addictive. She never knew it could feel like this with him.
And after dinner, when he finds her outside the privy and steps incredibly close to her, his hand sliding around her waist, she is shocked into silence by her desire. She doesn't find her voice until he has kissed her ever so softly and tenderly that she almost melts onto his parents stone floors.
"J-j-askier," she manages to mumble.
"Yes, love. Marina, is it?" he murmurs into her ear, his nimble fingers trailing from her neck down, down down. "Beautiful name. Beautiful woman."
She steps back and lets his arms fall heavily to the side.
"I must tell you something. And you will regret what you just did."
It could have sounded like a threat. She meant it to sound like a threat. But it just sounds sad. The glamour falls from her and his face transforms into shock.
She swallows the lump in her throat as he steps back so hard, he hits the wall and covers his mouth with his hands.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he demands. He looks white as a sheet. Terrified.
"I just did!"
"Earlier!"
"Because!" Yen squeaks. (She never squeaks) "I was...flummoxed. I--oh a pox on it, Jaskier, I liked it. Is that what you want to hear? You asshole? You bastard?"
His hand falls slowly from his face. Then a soft, tiny, smug little smile begins to form.
"Ha. I knew it."
He did not know it.
She smacks him. He laughs.
Then he remembers something and falls back against the wall againt groaning. "Oh, Geralt. Geralt. I'm a terrible friend. I will have to run off, to never return--"
She smacks him again. "Ow, what?"
"Calm down. Let's go see him together. I have a feeling he is going to like what we have to say."
The next time they kiss, it is in front of a roaring fire in her home in Vengerberg, with Geralt caressing them both, and watching with fondness.
"If I had known that it was this easy to shut the two of you up, I would have insisted on it a long time ago."

As game Lambert #1 fan 5ever the Nerflix Lambert sucks but not bcs of what people think? (I didnt read book of elves I love and respect myself sometimes )
As in game Lambert is kinda fun in that he got actually defined compared to Novels and Hexer where he did not exist ad character proper. He is deeply mean and sarcasric person, being willing to chew out his closest friends and enemies alike. He isnt as morally concerned abt stuff as geralt and when someone asks him to kill a monster he'd do it. Fuck he'd even go as far as use Axii to make two bandits die in horrific way. This is after all his lot in his shitty miserable life. He hates witchery and witchers and the very concept of this much suffering ("But you kept the table" he says furious to Vesemir as they stand above screaming Uma). His attitude is just such a complete 360° from Geralt' silent acceptance of what was done to them. It truly becomes the only voice of like hey fuck what happened to us, fuck it all to hell. Hes an utter fucking dickhead and hell provoke people for no reason (talkinf abt geralt and triss in front of phillipa for no reason) (i deadass dont think he would fuck up yens stuff on purpose tho #;#&#&)
His main core personal element is revenge. In his short appearence in w1 he proclaims desire to slaughter salamandra for killing Leo. In W3 he goes on massive revenge rampage spanning CONTINENTS for a guy we dont know (and thats pretty cool to me, implying he has adventures outside geralt, both him and eskel). He says his first action after he left Kaer Morhen was to find and kill his dad ( and him being sad he couldnt save his mother his life is all just empty revenges that will never fill the holes of people hell miss).
But also main Core element of Lambert is also love as cheesy as it sounds. He cared deeply for Leo and Aiden and even his own mom. After Triss. Got conked out by a mage guy in witcher 1 he cared for her and watched over her (they were hardcore inplying shipping which is funnt but whatever). He literally puts his life on line dor Ciri and Geralt. The thing is he is dickhead but he will do Everythinf for those few peoples he has left in his life.
The Point is games being games and larger allowed Lambert to have depth and nuance. He is imo one of the most interesting and coolest game characters. Netflix Lambert however did not have the time for variety of reasons to get that.
One is Lambert is very minor person in books. Second is that the show didnt...realy care abt witchers past vesemir maybe. So he wasnt a focus. In the end what we get is disappoitninf character not helped by the fact most witchers in netflix are cannon fodders for baba yaga.
ONE issue that I have is people saying Lambert was a dick to Ciri and thats OOC. While I cant speak from the POV of books (altho my friend who did read them say he is sexist), from POV of game thats untrue. In fact I believe game Lambert would VERY much be a fucking dick to Ciri fron a start. It doesnt even need to have sexist colouring to it. This dude HATES witchering. He hates the mutagenesis and the pain of it all, the destiny in it. I firmly believe he wouldnt be OK with a bew trainee and guess what? While he didnt live through instructors not giving fucks abt new witchers because like 1/20 live to become witchers he LIVED through it. On his skin. I firmly believe Lambert being DICKHEAD to ciri at first is nit only a whiff of the complex game!Lambert but a decent start of its own standalone character.
In witcher 1 also wheb tou tell him Leo died he laments he "was not ready". Leo. Just like ciri never got his mutagens (take this with grain of salt because leos whole character is weird tm). So him being an miserable instructor who will push you until you cry is in character ingame. This guys has ten layers of issue.
What Netflix misses is the fact we dont SEE lambert getting to his relationship Ciri where we see rhem albeit briefly in game (willing to fight to death for her). We just have this awkward jump from utter hostility to them beinf kinda pals after baba yaga fight. In the end netflix lambert is just. Boring.
Also hes not a balding fuck and i cant forgive that

Hiiii! Thank you so much for everything you've written so far. I love your stories and they keep me going. If you're still feeling up to it ad inspired, can I please ask for a part 3 for Coen and sunshine? Maybe where the girls are getting lessons and mom is adjusting? Or anything really <3 I love the first two parts
A/N: I am so sorry that this has taken so long!!! I am trying to get back into writing because I really do miss it. I hope this is good and to your liking babe! It's been a hot second since I wrote/posted anything :) If you haven't read this little mini-series before, here is the first one and here is the second one <3 Also because I have been radio silent for a while, I am not going to tag anyone in anything for the time being. I'm sorry!!
Coen guided you into the keep, allowing you to lean against him as you wished.
“Perhaps later on if the weather is nice, I can take you up to one of the towers.” He looked over to you. “The view is breathtaking.”
“Oh really?”
“We could watch the sunset from up there.”
“I want to watch the sun set!” Edda nosily butted into your conversation, grabbing yours and Coen’s arms.
“When the weather permits it, love.” You told her.
“And here I was hoping that I would have a good day.” A raven haired woman sighed as she approached you, your girls, and Coen. By her side was a blonde girl.
“Ah, Yennefer.” Coen sighed, shoulders falling in disappointment. “Didn’t think you still had Geralt by the bullocks.”
The woman, Yennefer, smiled stiffly at Coen, taking note of your two girls that stood just a few feet in front of her. They were between herself and the witcher.
“Coen. I had hoped you were eaten by a forktail.”
“Wish in one hand, shit in the other, they say.”
“That’s a very rude thing to say to a lady.” Edda’s brows were furrowed together as she looked up at Yennefer.
The mage turned her attention to your daughter, amused with her fire.
“Edda, be quiet.” You hushed her, placing your hand on the back of her head.
“I’m not convinced she is a lady.” Coen told her. “Ladies, this is Yennefer and Ciri. Yenn and Ciri, this is Y/N, Odette, and Edda.”
Being the chatty, friendly girl she was, Odette instantly took a liking to Ciri. She moved towards the princess and started a conversation.
Edda gravitated to wherever her sister went and before you knew it, the girls were making their way down the hall.
You were a little more focused on Yennefer. The way she had been watching Edda had you a bit concerned.
“That one is–,”
“She’s got quite the personality, yes.” Coen spoke hastily, cutting Yennefer off.
The mage glared at him.
“Come on, Y/N. I want to show you a few more places in the keep.”
Coen seemed to rush you away from Yennefer, leaving the mage to roll her eyes and teleport out of the hall.
“I’ve never seen you act so rude to someone so quickly.” You commented.
“Once you get to know Yennefer, you’ll understand.”
“I’m sure she isn’t that bad.”
“She is demanding and rather pompous.”
Your eyes lingered on the girls ahead.
“Ciri is quite powerful.” You murmured quietly. “Her chaos is almost nauseating to me. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to you.”
“It is unpleasant, but it’s a feeling I am doing my best to ignore.” Coen shrugged his broad shoulders. “Y/N, questions will be asked about Edda.”
You turned your head to look at him, brows drawing together with concern.
“What sort of questions?”
“Of her chaos.”
You studied his profile until he decided to meet your gaze. You came to a stop, allowing more distance to fall between yourself and Coen, and the girls. Blue and green eyes looked at you for a few heartbeats before he looked away.
“Don’t look at me like that, Y/N–,”
“Her chaos is not important to anyone besides myself, Coen.”
“I know, Y/N, and I know you value the privacy of the matter, but I also know my brothers. I’m genuinely surprised they didn’t lead with that question when we arrived.”
You started to walk again, clasping your hands together at your waist.
Coen took your wrist, pulling you back towards him.
“Chaos is not something to be taken lightly, Y/N.” He spoke gently. “I know you have a plan for Edda, but the others don’t.”
“It is none of their concern.”
“You are considered family to them, my love.” He brought his hand down to lace your fingers together.
“They have only just met me and the girls.”
“But they’ve heard stories of you for the last four years. They know how much you mean to me, how much the girls mean to me.”
You squeezed his fingers but turned your head away. Your stomach ached with the possibility of anything happening to your youngest daughter.
“We can speak of the matter later should it arise.” Coen suggested. “You don’t need to be stressing over it right now.”
“I don’t want to speak of the matter at all. My decision is final.” You pulled your hand from his and continued down the hallway.
***
You and Coen followed behind Ciri, Odette, and Edda as they went outside and to an area in the courtyard designated for training.
Lambert and Eskel were going at it with swords while Vesemir critiqued them. Geralt and Jaskier stood off to the side. Geralt leaned against a stone wall while Jaskier sat on the wall.
“Have either of you ever used a sword before?” Ciri asked the girls.
“No.” Odette shook her head.
“Never.” Edda messed with her fingers at her waist.
You watched as Cirilla moved to a barrel and from it, she produced three wooden swords. Your hands fell to your sides at the sight.
From across the courtyard, Geralt could hear your heart pick up pace. You were nervous.
“Ciri.” His deep voice made all three girls turn their attention to him. “You should ask their mother before providing them with swords.”
“They aren’t real swords, Geralt.”
“It’s alright, Geralt.” Coen’s hand lingered on your back in an effort to comfort you. He could practically feel your anxiety lingering in the air. “The girls have never used swords before. Why don’t you and Ciri show them how it’s done first?”
Geralt pushed himself away from the wall and went to his Child Surprise.
“It wouldn’t hurt for the girls to learn how to wield a sword.” Coen spoke quietly to you.
“I don’t like the idea of them fighting.” You shook your head. “They are young.”
“No one is going to send them off to war, sunshine.” He smiled a little. “It is good for them to know how to protect themselves should they need it.”
You said nothing. Your teeth clenched together tightly.
“You worry worse than anyone I know.”
“I just…. Just want them safe.”
Coen was quiet for a few moments before he moved his hand from your back to your wrist.
“Come with me.”
“What? But the girls just started–,”
“They can stay here. Geralt will watch over them.”
You turned your head to look at the White Wolf. His eyes were on you and as if to confirm Coen’s words, he nodded his head once. He had heard his brother speak even though they weren’t near each other thanks to their witcher mutations.
“Where are we going?”
***
Coen led you to a tower on the northeast side of the keep. Being so high up, the wind was a bit more biting. Coen shrugged off his cloak and placed it around your shoulders.
“It is beautiful up here.” You moved towards the side, one hand holding the cloak around you while the other found this stone wall that prevented anyone from falling.
“It is.” Coen settled next to you, his hand on the small of your back. “All of your worrying, Y/N, it will lead you to an early grave.”
You turned your head to look at him, admiring his side profile.
“If I didn’t worry about them, I wouldn’t be a good mother. If something ever happened to either of them…. I would never forgive myself, Coen.”
“Things will happen to them that you have no control over. Don’t let it overtake you.”
You looked away. Your eyes flickered down to the stone beneath your feet.
“I have seen the cruelties this world has to offer. I-I can’t help but want to worry over their safety.”
“Oh, my darling sunshine.” Coen moved to leave against the stone wall with his hands. “Believe it or not, but I have as well. Becoming a witcher isn’t done with a gentle hand and tender words.”
He motioned for you to come to him. You obliged, allowing him to hold you close as you both looked out over the mountains.
“But children need to experience the world from a young age. Otherwise they won’t be able to survive it once they are set free to begin their own lives.”
“Since when did you become so poetic?” You teased, pushing your shoulder into his chest. He chuckled, shaking his head softly.
“I think Vesemir’s rubbing off on me.”
You looked away from him for a few moments before your eyes began to wander back to him.
“Thank you.” You leaned over to kiss his cheek.
“Anything for you, sunshine.”

The Witcher S3 Ep6: Everyone Has A Plan 'til They Get Punched in the Face
There is no aka this time, because how could I ever dream of coming up with something better?
(There was so much happening, I didn't even get to properly appreciate Jaskier's doorway lean)
You might, but I don't, Djikstra. The fuck?
Also why are you coming after the mages?
Not Artaud! He was chill. I think...who was he again?
Oof that sounded like a threat to Yen. Geralt don't take kindly to those
Do all mage chambers have hidey holes behind the walls?
I don't like that look...Jaskier, why did you tell him the barrier came down at dawn?
🥺 babies...
Don't be so fast to count my wife out, Lydia. Especially if she's in a place with friends
Well, that takes care of that. I thought she was a much more significant character...
I like Radcliffe. He's probably going to die
There can be more than one traitor, Tissaia, especially among men that think themselves all powerful
I don't think those are Redanian...
Well if you didn't want him to be rash, maybe you shouldn't have threatened Ciri
Just 50? I think you might need more than that, your current ones are folding like a hand of cards
Get fucked. Like, I kind of wanted to root for you and your duplicitous ass, but you don't need to be such a dick about it
Do we actually trust Cahir to do that? Or is he going to cart her straight home to Emperor CreepyDad? He serves so many masters at this point, and thus serves none
RIP Filavandrel! Damn!
Oh heeyyyy Fringilla! FrinFran reunited! And fucking shit uuuup!
Oh shit. I knew that ring was going to be trouble...
That. Was. Sexy. And the best way for Fire Fucker to die. Mom and Dad teamwork, no chance of resurrection
Ooh. These twins are neat.
God, Istredd 👀👀 Triss and Marti too honestly
Tissaia, don't give up...please...
Triss is not allowed to die. Especially now that I'm shipping it extra hard
That was an excessive number of arrows guys...
🥺 "my daughter" "come back to us" this family, I can't 😭
OT3 maybe? I'll have to figure out how to add in Cahir's name when FrinFran is so perfect...
Damn Tissaia. That...might also be killing your people but it's super badass
Get. Fucked. Vilgefortz. If you touch a single gorgeous hair on his head...
Where did you just send my boy?!
You should have known better my guy. Philippa and Djikstra are never far apart
Go Ciri! Rage your little heart out! And hold your own against a trained soldier like Cahir, even on the defense
Ooh! It's the moment Bonnie's been waiting for!
You are one man against five on horseback, bitch...what are you doing?
...where is my beloved bard in all of this chaos? Honestly also my beloathed one?
Am I...rooting for Stregobitch in this moment? I feel itchy and uncomfortable.
Shit, now what?
Ooh, Renfri's brooch/gem glowing is new and fun. Is it just for effect, or Significant?
Where is your other sword though? I feel like Vilgefortz is a two-sword situation
Oh yeah, that really helps your case that you're the good guy...
Oh look, he's been impaled
Shiiiiit...Geralt might actually not walk away from this one...
Why? Why only you? Who the fuck are you? You still haven't given a good reason for shit
🎵Get fuuuuucked🎵
Wait, he was on the beach, how'd he end up in the water?
Triss and Geralt having a Little Mermaid moment?
That's probably not a good thing, but it was really cool so...

Thoughts on the HGs after a Week
Matt - Abs for days and he's sweet to boot; hasn't really been able to crack into the strategy - I think winning a comp will help out with that - I do worry about what he in his own words says is his "body dysmorphia" - the hammock talk last night he mentioned he wants to be on slop to lose weight - so that's kind of concerning but hopefully I'm reading too much into it
America - seems very fun and I like that she's a live feeder but so far has been a kind of nonexistent player - a floater some might say
Cirie - not a huge Survivor fan but I know who she is; it really is very entertaining to watch how she negotiates all these relationships; I think the house Reilly and Jared need her mothering presence
Felicia - RIP to those 4 mic pacs; I respect her gaming; it's refreshing to see in an older player
Mecole - I really haven't caught much of her on the LF yet; seems sensible
Jag - he cracks me up; the hammock crew last night was so fun to watch; he seems like he'd be a good hang; I love that he's a substitute teacher and he seems to take it pretty seriously; he seems to avoid a lot of the overly sexual talk which I feel is probably due to him wanting to keep a good image for his kiddos
Cory - I don't know about this dude, but it is impressive that he talked himself off the block; I am decidedly Team Cory on the whole beef with him and Hisam though
Blue - I was initially very high on her but she burned too hot too fast; I'm kind of disillusioned with her now, but her and Jared are awfully flirty...so we'll see what happens there 😉
Reilly - I liked her so much before she became HOH; now, I've been overexposed and am kind of annoyed with her; I don't know if she really has that big of a crush on Matt or not; she doesn't seem to really pay that much attention to him; Kirsten and America were more helpful with getting him to speed on the hammock/pool convo than she was; I don't think she's a bad person by any means - just young and foolish; but somebody please save the girl from the toxicity of Cameron, good gravy, all of their interactions are unsettling
Jared - started off shaky but with his mom's help has really improved
Bowie - I mean, she's just some random chick in the house; she seems fun but she doesn't add much to the game
Kirsten - the underdogs always pull on my heartstrings; yeah, she played a wonky game at the start, but I'd rather an over-player stay over someone boring or irrelevant; she's gone from being my least favorite pre-season to one of my top 5
Red - I haven't watched this guy a lot on the feeds but mainly I'm just like please stay clothed at all times - nobody wants to see you in a crop top
Hisam - if Kirsten was one of my least faves at the beginning, Hisam was one of my top faves; two things have irked me about him - the irrational hate he has for Cory (I cannot relate - if I hate you - I can list reasons - probably more than you'd like, lol) and his whole "let's play with honesty and integrity" - hard pass
Izzy - she kind of annoys me, lol, but she is very needed in this game as an agent of chaos
Luke - play stupid games, win stupid prizes
Cameron - what is this dude's deal? How did he get a woman to marry him and have his child? How is his whole personality not a complete turn off? if he continues the mind games with Reilly - I hope he gets called out or booted or something because she doesn't deserve to be scarred for life

Witcher YouTuber!AU
Modern Youtuber AU!Witcher
(I'm in the rabbit hole now. I hate modern/reality-based AUs for fantasy or SCI-FI series. But here I am.)
Music Artist!Jaskier has a channel called "Dandilion" where he performs both original and cover songs while playing anything from a guitar, piano, or violin. He also began playing the lute to show it is not a dead form of music. He had an entire series of videos dedicated to learning to play. It took him two years, which is far less time than his nemesis Valdo Marx, who has a rival channel, took to learn after he decided to copy Jaskier. The channel used to be called "Buttercups and Dandelions" but an inside joke in which he misspelled dandelion as dandilion led to him shortening the name permanently to the latter.
Park Ranger!Geralt's channel is called "RoachOfRivia" and was originally just a personal account for listening to music and reviews along with posting the occasional video of his horse, Roach, back in 2008. He didn't expect the following he gained after posting a video of him horseback riding an old mountain trail and repairing parts of the path, but decided to post more of those. His videos are the type a person puts on to go to sleep to but a lot of people got more interested when he started handling trapped animals on camera, skillfully freeing them and then expertly disarming and removing the traps from the area. This is about when his followers realize he is a park ranger, rather than a guy with lots of free time to ride horseback on mountains. He doesn't talk or post a whole lot, so people have had to piece these things together on their own in the comments. There are even online forums dedicated to determining if he is a cryptid that picked up a camera.
Geralt gains a bigger following when Ciri, his adopted daughter taken in after old friends passed away, makes a channel where she films him and his brothers/fellow rangers when they're both on and off the clock. People love the absolute reckless roughhousing, stunts, and nonsense banter performed by three men with lots of outdoor space and only the consideration not to use explicit language with a child present. Ciri originally called the channel Rangers but has since renamed it Kaer Morons. It's named after the ranch the family owns, Kaer Morhen. Ciri once got Lambert to do a "Welcome to Jackass" intro as "Welcome to Kaer Morons" and that has been the series intro ever since. Sometimes the video is unofficial collabs with another YouTuber, Yennefer, who runs a beauty and true crime channel called "Yennafred"(however, it is different from similar channels as rather than just applying makeup, she is actively making beauty and medicinal products in her kitchen. Her followers call her their witch mom).
Worlds collide and fans lose their minds when Jaskier starts turning up in the background of Kaer Morons uploads and even in an upload from RoachOfRivia. Jaskier becomes more open with this and openly posts non-formal videos on his channel of him hanging out with Geralt and at the Kaer Morhen Ranch. He'll either do skits of following Geralt or Eskel or Lambert whilst playing a tune on his lute meant to be theme music as they go about their day. Often those skits cut with something being thrown at him. Sometimes he'll post something like him trying to "bring culture to the underprivileged" and singing for a fan-loved goat from the Kaer Morons videos named Lil Bleater. He even posts videos of him following after Geralt on a trail, rambling about his latest song.
Just as two different fanbases begin to settle when it appears Dandilion and Kaer Morons have become more or less staples on the other's channel, they are once again rocked by a video posted to all three channels seemingly filmed by Ciri and Lambert. It is of them trying to sneak through a hall in the ranch house and turning the corner to film Jaskier and Geralt interlocked in a kiss. The video is titled "We Did It!" Speculation about what that means and how long Jaskier and Geralt have been dating run rampant.
*I don't quite know where I was going with this but I am exceptionally proud of myself for coming up with Yennefer being a true crime YouTuber who makes rather than just applies makeup. Sitting at her table or desk and uses a mortar and pestle as she outlines the basis of the case. The videos probably follow several days of her work so maybe she'd frame it like arcs for the case, or maybe she's working on multiple different products to let one set. I feel like she'd especially do historical cases like Giulia Tofana or Elizabeth Báthory.*

A little S3 part 2 review! Spoilers under the cut.
- I quite enoyed it!! I had a lot of fun and I loved the last episode, they really turned it around there for me; I did have the feeling that at times the pacing was pretty off though? Maybe it was just me but for episode six Cahir coming around was pretty much without build up, some other things they lingered on, Riences and Tissias death was pretty fast, I felt a bit. Yanked around; like they didn't linger where I wanted them too but I saw a lot of shots of people running. Somewhere?? or Ciri eating Lizards 😂 (but I did watch it with my brother and he said it was his favourite episode because of the action, finally fight fight stabby stabby so I kind of see what they might have thought they needed to do there)
- Freya is getting better and better and Ciri really really grew on me as a character!! Her fight in the last episode, the build up of tension in the desert, that was g o o d. (Brother's comment: where are simon and pumba. I don't remember that scene from the lion king)
- JASKIER. MY LOVE. I love this season and it's an all time favourite because not only did he say 'he has to get back to his family' he was finally finally treated as such. By Geralt, by Yennefer, by Ciri (and included in the visions!!). Honestly that could have been my sole review because that is just the most important thing to me, what I always wanted from this show 😭 FOUND FAMILY. He finally has it 😭😭
- I know I called villainous Radovid (and. we might be getting there??) but his story is so much much more tragic that I ever thought it would be and I love it. I love the Radskier dynamic of Jaskier, of course not being able to stop to care, but also of Jaskier being distrustful and looking through him? GOD YES. THANK YOU.
- I thought Philippa would loose an eye or two but that might be Radovid once he finds out (that poor guy was desperate to get away, this is really tragic and. I dig it)
- uhhh Geralt?? Very good. LOVED his interaction with Jaskier, Milva and Yen this season. I still don't get how they want to pull of Liam?? There were a lot of, albeit silly, chances of them going 'oh it's the healing process' but they didn't? Which, hey. I HONESTLY prefer that they didn't do that. I said from the beginning simply switching them is by far less jarring. And it was a better send off for this season. I think they'll probably go some kind of 'deages because of the spell route'? The less they explain the better, probably 😅
- Yen was as gorgeous as ever. She is Ciris mom 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
- I loved everything about Geralt and Jaskier in Brokilon. I gotta say it again because it's just so true. Had me!!! From the beginning. This is the dynamic I always wanted to see 🥺👉👈

‘not wanting to let go’ hugs for the fam please 🥺
two ghosts | Yenralt, Ciri's POV, PG-13 only for swears, 1,700 Words
"Suck ... My ... Fat - Ah! Yes!"
Aggressive clacking of buttons fills the room. Paired with the intensely focused gazes of the two teens donned in headphones, bathed by the TV's glow in an otherwise dark bedroom, it's the most common scene for Friday nights in the off season.
"Ciri, left!"
Ciri pivots her player, but only in time to see the opposing shooter before her screen flashes. "Mother fucker!" The controller is tossed onto the soft bedding. It's only moments later that Dara becomes overwhelmed by the other team and joins her in equal dismay.
The duo pulls their headphones off.
"Well, that sucks," Dara laments.
Ciri rubs the back of her neck with one hand and pushes the other up to stretch her back. "I think we have another twenty before the next game starts." Her anger dissipates as quickly as it flares, realization of how long they've been playing in her stiff joints and empty stomach. "Wanna go down to the kitchen?"
Opening his mouth to answer, the other teen pauses. A dull plink plink catches both of their attention. Dara cocks his head to the side, Ciri scrunches her brow in concentration.
Plink. Plink plink.
"Is that coming from outside?" Ciri turns the TV off to cut out its light from the glare of her window and flops down on her stomach to peer out into the back yard.
Dara stretches out beside her, elbows pressing against each other's. "Oh, shit, is that - "
They see the dark clad figure just as he pushes back his hood, the shock of silver hair catching in the moonlight. A cupped hand releases whatever was held previously, and he squats to pick through the rocks that line the meticulously maintained garden path.
Ciri inhales sharpy.
"Is that - ?"
"My dad."
If Dara has to witness her dad's vodka fueled crooning's that lead to a night spent sleeping curled on the lawn furniture without a response from her mother, Ciri might die of embarrassment. Her dad straightens, no sway in his movements she notes, and his face is screwed up with determination with the next rock he hurls just next to her mother's bedroom window.
A resounding thunk echoes this time.
The response can be heard inside the house, teens peering over their shoulders as the door at the other end of the hall can be heard getting cast open. If Ciri thought the tone in the opening of the door was aimed at her, she would be diving for cover. As it is, her father knows what response he will elicit and has had decades of practice being the subject of her mother's ire.
There are no other sounds in the house - her mother always seems to float just above the surface of the ground, grace and elegance bundled up in the body of a middle-aged hippie. She doesn't look anywhere close to her age, claiming her homeopathic remedies are the cause - although, her dad used to shoot Ciri a knowing wink back before ...
Dara and Ciri turn their attention back out the window.
"I don't think I've seen your dad before," Dara says, assessing the tall, lithe man with currently only one of his many scars visible, the one that runs down the side of his face. "What did you say he does again?"
"Traveling salesman," Ciri lies easily.
"Are traveling salesmen always so ... jacked?"
Ciri shrugs. Her dad is standing, feet squared, face just as determined as earlier. Maybe the conversation they had leaving the gym the other day, when he joined her during her off season work out, stuck with him.
"Ciri, I think I fucked up."
"So? Fix it."
"I don't know if I can."
"Have you actually tried, dad? Really tried?"
They both knew the answer: the rest of the car ride home, or to her home rather, was silent.
When Ciri's mom had asked for a divorce nearly a year ago, her dad had taken off on a contract to a distant land without so much as cell reception, let alone the infrastructure to deliver divorce papers. Six months later, he returned: a sulking, brooding, occasionally drunkenly sobbing mess. Visiting him at Uncle Jaskier's was about the most depressing shit Ciri had seen, so obviously devastated by the split but frozen by his own stubbornness and inability to act in the ways that really mattered, for the people who really mattered.
Her mother is standing, arms crossed, storm of dark curls and youthful almond skin radiant in the moonlight. There's a distance between them that may seem inconsequential, but Ciri knows it's like a vast chasm. Equally tight-lipped, it's the little moments that Ciri has noticed the hollowness in her mother: the longing stares towards the empty spaces her father used to fill like his chair in the library, the forlorn sighs followed by hours with fingertips dug into the garden soil, and the prolonged times spent locked away in her bedroom.
"She's really letting him have it," Dara whispers, eyes darting to the side, "Are you okay?"
Ciri nods. "This is the most they've talked since she kicked him out." Her dad has remained in the same position, aside from the slight sag in his shoulders: worn down. Ciri knows it's not from the heated words, but from the lack of them for so long. Her parents have never been perfect, but they worked, they loved - when they had their heated arguments and got passed whatever issue hung between them. It was the lack of anything spoken between them, the lack of love, the months leading up to her mom kicking him out that did the most damage. Ciri had felt it, seen it, but distracted herself with school, sports, friends - anything else.
Anything that didn't remind her of the empty feeling house. Like living in a house with two ghosts, floating in the same space without any notion of the other.
Her mother's arms dropped to her side, no longer wildly gesticulating along with her words. Her dad takes a tentative step forward. Ciri chews her bottom lip. If they knew they were watching ... But that's what he gets for throwing rocks at the window like a teenager.
"I'm sorry."
The words are audible in his deep expression, the change in her posture like a coat of armor shed.
Another step forward, this one not as cautious.
He's close enough now that when her mother reaches out and slaps both open palms against his chest, he can pull her into him completely. Arms wrapped tight around her mother's small, wracking frame and head tucked safely under his chin.
Ciri gulps and spins away from the window on to her back. She didn't realize her heart was racing until now.
Dara whistles low in astonishment. "So ... Do you think ... ?"
The teen shakes her head, pressing the heel of her palms against her eyes. She doesn't want to get her hopes up. To have the house full again, her family full -
"Wanna kill some fucking zombies?" she asks, shooting up.
Dara smiles. "Hell yeah."
--
The teens stumble down the stairs to the kitchen in a barely awake stupor, stomachs growling and noses following the scent of breakfast.
Ciri squints, rubs her eyes, and squints harder.
A boyish grin is on her father's face where he sits beside her mother, elbows on the counter, head ducked but tilted towards her like there's something amusing about the way she gingerly sips from her mug of coffee.
"Good morning," her mother greets serenely.
Dara grunts his best polite response, drawn towards the freshly cooked sausage on the stove top and too familiar in the home not to help himself.
Ciri raises an eyebrow at her parents, hands resting on her hips. Like hell they're breezing over this.
As always, sixty percent of their words are unspoken between each other, but shared looks. A few moments pass and then her dad is filling his mouth with a fork full of food, staring contently at his daughter. A small smile and wiggle of his eyebrows as he chews, the give away.
"Your father will be visiting more often," her mom announces with finality.
"About damn time." Ciri lets her long legs carry her behind her thick-headed parents, wrapping both of her arms around their necks and pulling them closer to her. Her dad pretends to choke on his food from the hold, but both of them place a hand on the arm hooked around them.
Ciri was afraid this embrace wouldn't happen, both of them had drawn this out passed the point of dramatics. She doesn't want to let go again, ever.
As they've done since she was young, her parents turn to place simultaneous kisses on either of her cheeks while Ciri scrunches her nose in mock disgust. Her mother's perfume, the soft scratch of her father's stubble. Home.
"Dara, you'd better not think you can eat all of that while I'm distracted," Ciri shoots, cracking one eye open to glare at the boy trying to sneak the last of the sausage onto his plate. She gives them both one last squeeze before releasing her parents. "Although, I guess i can just steal some of yours - " Ciri snags a piece of toast from her dad's plate before he can swat her away and jumps just out of his reach.
"Geralt, you'll need to make more," her mother says with a slight eye roll, "They've been eating us out of house and home."
Us. Ciri's heart dances.
"What do you expect, Yen, they're teenagers. My brothers and I never stopped eating at their age."
Her mom snorts, a sound the walls of their house haven't heard in a while. "Just at their age?"
Ciri takes her dad's seat as he rises to return to the stove, purposefully leaving his half-eaten breakfast behind for her. It doesn't feel real yet, but she imagines with each visit it'll start to set in, until they aren't visits anymore and he's back with them completely.
Her dad ropes Dara into helping him cook, who looks even more bewildered standing beside the "traveling salesman" now that he's in a tight-fitting tee that reveals the rest of his musculature and work souvenirs. It's a terrible cover story, they really should think of something better.
Sighing happily, Ciri rests her head on her mother's arm. Yeah, it'll set in, but it doesn't need to be quickly.
--end--
Well. That took a life of its own, blame Harry Styles!

B, I, N, & X!
B - A pairing–platonic, romantic or sexual–that you initially didn’t consider, but someone changed your mind.
hmm. this happens a lot with homestuck ships, just because there are so many possibilities that it's hard to think of them all on your own, but once someone comes in with their reasoning it's like *slaps forehead* how didnt i see it sooner! that sounds cool!
I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?
SO many, mostly just due to overexposure. stranger things is the first that comes to mind. there's another fandom on the tip of my tongue, but i just cant recall it right now unfortunately... if i can get my memory to cooperate, i'll reblog this post with the thing im trying to think of
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
1) being nice to geralt. this already happens ofc but he's my favorite little guy and i can always use more of people being nice to him :)
2) s2 rewrites. fix-it fics, rewrites from the ground-up, fics that completely ignore canon events they didnt like. seems pretty widespread that people didnt like s2, so some sort of fan reaction where they take it and mould it into what they'd like instead could be fun!
3) more mom yen and daughter ciri bonding moments! i know s2 shot that in the foot by making yen try and kill her, but cmon. thats her momma!
bonus 4) because i forgot about it until the end. everyone shut up about the mountain forever. and that includes having hard feelings at geralt or making jaskier gloomy n shit. ougughghh disliked forever by Me
X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
MIND MELDS!!!! mind melds, mental connections, soul bonding, anything at all like that. if two people in two seperate bodies are forced to share a mental space. the ultimate invasion of privacy, and yet also the ultimate intimacy, not even your thoughts are your own. everything forced to the surface. to an outsider it looks as normal as ever, but inside there is turmoil. and then-- and this is important-- the AFTERMATH!! the delicious, delicious aftermath. maybe the mental connection is severed, and they find theyve gotten used to it, and now their minds are too silent without the constant hum of their partner's thoughts. or perhaps they adapt to it and it never goes away, and to outsiders it looks like everything they do is a coordinated dance. how do they know so much? how do they work together so seamlessly? because their minds are one.
it's sooooo rare, i cant even think of any fics that have done it off the top of my head, despite it being a fav of mine. and yet. oh how i adore it. stories where theyre born that way and never know another way to be, stories of outsiders uncomfortable with their unnatural closeness, stories where it's new and fresh and they dont know how to navigate it, stories where it's old and solid and they rely on it in battle. stories where they have to work to stay seperate people, because the melding wants them one mind in two bodies, and if they let themselves get too close, they start to lose their own individuality. anything! all of it! oh how i adore it!

Was that "yen isn’t magically completed by motherhood" I see 👀👀 So excited for all of these but I feel like that one has the potential to break and/or heal my soul
YES LETS DISCUSS
(this is in reference to this post right here!)
I have lots of feelings about this okay and half of them come from rage over the number of people who have children to fill a void or fix themselves then don't take care of them.
but like Yen says she wants to be important to someone and watching her arc it feels more like she wants to be safe and loved. she gets the safe part with her power which is why she is so desperate in season two. she knows the extent of human cruelty knows no bounds and it is fucking terrifying to her when she has no magical power to protect herself. she doesn't believe she's found the love aspect of it though. and tbf she hasn't. not yet and not a healthy one in either geralt or istredd
but i think it would be fun and also kinda evil to give her exactly what she wants and watch her realize this wasn't what she meant.
kids are HARD and i bow to anyone who raises kids. shit is ROUGH. and sometimes they don't love you back. and certainly not all the time! like if yen is looking for that sense of purpose and security and doesn't find in it motherhood bc motherhood isn't anything like she expected it would be really interesting? like newborns arent all that cute and motherhood isn't glamorous when you haven't slept more than two hours at a time in months if not years and a whore's bath is as good as you've been able to sneak in in the last week. diaper blow outs and gassy babies and spit up and being peed on and fighting a kid into x piece of clothing fucking SUCKS. the worry and fear first time moms can get is fucking debilitating.
if she wasn't expecting any of this i think it would send her for a fucking loop
bc she clearly wasn't taken care of well if at all as a child, and i doubt her step father let her close to her half siblings so like, does she really know what goes into raising children? other than the things she remembers that traumatized her? but lots of us remember things that traumatized us as just 'how you deal with x behavior' in kids until someone else points it out. and who is gonna do that? geralt? ciri? jaskier? lmao no. no one would know.
in conclusion i want to push yen to the fucking brink so she does some work to be okay with herself and doesn't take her shit out on her kid
