Test results came back ~ no cancer polyps were found in my colon and inflammation is down, showing that the new medication is working!! Now I just need to get blood work done to see the numbers so they can determine if I need to up my medication dose.

Some pictures of me with my boys, while I had to be on my clear liquid only diet for two days.
They are always here to pick me and and give me support.
Emmitt Wild, Dwight Jr. And Tobias July.
Sorry about the dirty hair I was a hot mess to say the least. Ugh.

My poor partner! Her colonoscopy this morning went well. They didn't find anything, and she doesn't have to go back again for 10 years. (When I had mine last year, they told me 7 years. I'm jealous, LOL.) However, any time she gets put under by an anesthesiologist, she gets really worked up over the fact that she has a blank space in her memory, so much so that I had to hold her as she cried in my arms. Why was she crying? Because she was convinced that after she woke up in the clinic, she said something mean to me about being laid off last week, which, fortunately for me, she didn't do.
Incidentally, what was the one thing in her half-conscious twilight state that she did say? She said that she wanted a cocktail. 🤣

This is absurd. The patient is high risk for a myriad of cancers (including colon) due to a history of bladder cancer.
Bureaucratic red tape in a developed country delayed his life saving screening for 5+months!
If he could get to North America, we could see him this week.
Couldn't Aussie stars like Rusell Crowe or Mel Gibson help this high risk cancer survivor get to the USA for a simple colonoscopy?

Good morning everyone. Today I get to experience another colonoscopy. I spent yesterday "prepping the passage". Lost 6 lbs in the process. Can't wait..... Yay!....😊

"Not, 'Bo Duke'" ,,,?
I was on the gurney, getting prepped for a colonscopy, when the anesthesiologist asked me my name. I told him, then he asked me if I went by any nicknames.
It seemed like an odd question, but I told him that I'm "Jack" to my family. He said, "Not 'Bo Duke ' ...?," then sang, "Just a good old boy ..."
Of course I had to sing the next line : "Never meanin' no harm ..." (No sense in snubbing a man who is about to put you under).
Noticing the puzzled looks on the three young assistants in the room, he looked at them and said, "You know ... 'Dukes of Hazzard' ....? The TV show ....?"
Nothing. It was a clear case of generaltional divide.
For you youngsters, "The Dukes of Hazard" ran on CBS from 1979 to 1985. Waylon Jennings sang the popular theme song, quoted above.
The show starred an actor named - you guessed it - John Schneider. So, I've been getting the "Bo Duke" line for the past 40 years - sometimes in the most unusual places.
However, I have a feeling "The Dukes of Hazard" is a fading memory.

Omg! Look at this beautiful happy girl!
Noot, bruxing and boggling away in a comfy warm snuggle pile in my lap.
I am preparing for a colonoscopy that is scheduled for next week, tomorrow will be the all liquid diet.. oh boy, I’m a bit nervous.

To steal from a slightly dated meme
Me, preparing my bi-annual scope:
"I'm gonna get a good grade in colon cleanliness, which is normal to want and possible to achieve."

Reporting for the sake of normalizing: I had my first colonoscopy today.
Day-before prep is pretty unpleasant, but not the most miserable thing I've ever dealt with. Procedure itself was pretty simple.
Hitting the Burgermaster drive-thru on the way home was goddamn amazing.
Anyway, if your doc recommends it, I can confirm it's not as big a deal as it sounds. It's just the pre-procedure day of not eating solid foods and pounding a giant jug of drink mix that isn't fun, but as medical stuff goes, it's definitely not the worst. And way better than dealing with actual cancer treatment stuff.
