I wish there was a closed captions mode that only captioned dialogue, not sound. The sound captions can be rather annoying if you are hearing and don't need them, but you also can't delete them for the people who are hard of hearing or deaf.

very curious if Kaminar, the name of Saru's homeworld in Star Trek Discovery, has anything to do with the Spanish verb caminar (to walk)

Not only bc Saru has those gangly ass Kelpien legs (love them tho) that he walks on

but also bc he leaves his entire species to walk amongst the stars, so to speak. That's his whole dream. Dude singlehandedly learns tech skills and builds a transponder to communicate with the stars on a planet that hasn't even had an industrial revolution??? All because he wants to go be up there in space, walking amongst the stars.

of course it could be totally unfounded speculation on my part, and Kaminar (the planet) and caminar (the verb) could have no correlation.
