also apparently they confirmed that they aren’t remaking any fes or portable content (so no answer or femc). which sucks. just blatantly.

i imagine remaking even the base game alone from the ground up more or less is probably a lot of work, but it’s the same as pokémon bdsp where it’s bizarre that you’d put all this time into making a new modernized version of this game from nearly two decades ago and not go the whole hog. most of the best social links are relegated to femc only, and as disinterested in the answer as i am, it still is canon content for persona 3 as far as i’m aware. not including this stuff only muddies the question of “which version of persona 3 should i play” even further.

I unironically think that if the cc's wanted to dedicate themselves to osmp it could've genuinely been better than the dsmp was. I just think there was so much potential with the "we're all very different and have vastly different needs, strengths and weaknesses due to the physical capabilities our species" aspect of it that could have had a really cool affect on storytelling if they leaned into it

#conceptually #I love the origins smp as an experience because it was really funny and otherwise an enjoyable time #but in terms of like. story. there's not much there at the moment #there's like. an idea of what the story Could be #I think it's because they approached it as a one-off thing at first #I think if they approached properly as an smp they wanted to roleplay on frequently and consistently it could have been really Really cool #unfortunately 'frequently' and 'consistently' aren't things my streamers do often :/
