And I must know? CAN they bind someone to Consortship who does not recognize their authority? Like... no really, The King Of The Dead(tm) lawfully would have NO claim upon the Living, unless they consented to his Rule. Not until they... you know... Die.

And in DP's case? Not even THEN is it guaranteed? They could just Peace Out and move on. Skip the Zone completely. So like? IS that a loophole?

A King from Nation A can not legally command citizen of Nation B. They aren't his. Only King B can. Citizen B's may CHOSE to obey King A, to be polite, but the have the RIGHT to say "fuck off, buddy". But if King A was legal cornered and told "pick a Consort Or Else(tm)"? CAN HE?

Like? Can he point to the biggest, toughest, warrior in Nation B (probably standing next to his equally terrifying wife), knowing FULL DAMN WELL this is not going to happen and planning on that, and say "Him. Fetch, you bloodsuckers."

What are consorts like on your earth C? Are they all the same colors as in the session? Can two different types of consort (Like salamander and gator) have children? What about ectochildren?

There are two types of consorts, the ones who come from the beta session

and the ones feferi and fefeta revived who have slightly diferent colors from thw alpha session

They can have children through ectobiology but also, this consorts can have children naturally with a consort of the same species

Or with consorts of a diferent species and the kid will be either one species or the other

in very rare cases they can be one parent’s species and have the otheone’s skin or eye color

On the talk of Consorts, why even have Jake and Dirk rule over the consorts when they barely have much connection with them? I can somewhat understand the nakadiles and iguanas since they would be their respective consorts in Sgrub proper (as they would be for Dave and Jade in their planets), but other than that, they only reason they got Consort Kingdom because the other kids, Calliope, and living trolls get to take over the other humans, trolls, and Carapacians, so Dirk and Jake are stuck with the leftovers. Every section has Kingdoms (even though one Carapacian's goal was to get rid of Kingdoms, but who the fuck cares about WV), so they have to keep that theme up in front of the others.

I decided to make references for all of Hackbents Consorts!

I work on the comic and we never actually had references for them besides the basic Sprite Mode images and maybe some concept artwork and I wanted to change that moving forwards to just help quicken the work pace Also having these references could help with fanart! You can really tell where I joined the team because of how the Axolotls have different color pallets for different scenes, Id love to make more for more consorts!

Why was queens pardoning prisoners seen as good? Like murders and sexual assaulter ect? Wouldn’t the public be against that? Especially if they’re not sending money or justice to the victims or their families? 

It was seen as good because interceding on behalf of others, demonstrating mercy and compassion, appealing to a spouse's better nature, etc. were all actions that fell within the feminine sphere of influence. That said, I don't think queens were pardoning or interceding on behalf of rapists and murderers. More likely, they would have appealed on behalf of disgraced nobles or cities (as happened, for example, with Queen Philippa, wife of Edward III of England, and the six burghers of Calais during the Hundred Years War).
