as we enter the start of a semester and the dreaded Hour of Making Friends us upon us... if ur ever at a loss for what to say in one of those weird social situations where you only vaguely-know people, one of my favorite questions to ask is "what is your favorite food crime." a food crime is like the food combination that you love that other people find revolting. press them to take it further than pineapple on pizza, that's rote. food crimes is a good topic that has many benefits as it turns out all people are degenerates and also it will give you some cool ideas to try out later in the privacy of your own degenerate kitchen

the other good thing to ask is "okay but has anyone here ever been someplace haunted" bc it turns out if you ask most people directly they don't believe in ghosts, but many people are like "oh yeah i lived in a haunted house. ghosts aren't real tho"

#my food crime is that i regularly make a “pasta and tuna” situation that has somehow gotten even more evil and degenerate over time.#it is a ''white wine reduction'' (it's just white wine and garlic powder & seasoning)#and tuna from a can.#and plain pasta.#if i have the spoons i will actually chop garlic for it but this tends to be my comfort food for a REALLY bad day #bc its super easy to make:#boil pasta. drain. put into bowl for later. into same pot u used for pasta.#put tuna (with oil/water from can). let fry a little for like 2-3 min. put in whatever amount of wine. season to taste.#the tuna will get a little crisp on it which is nice. important side note:#this began as a Bolognese sauce.#and one day i had to sub for tuna. i know. not ideal. i cried about it too.#somehow over time it is now its own little evil thing. i would never make someone else eat it. it is beautiful.#but yeah i don't even stir the pasta in afterwards i just slap pasta into serving bowl #slap this ''''''sauce'''''''' on top #molto bene #(i really can cook fairly well btw. this is a food crime. not a suggestion of skill or ability)#(i LOVE baking but when i cook for myself. the autism is obvious. bc i just don't understand the point of most of the steps)#(.... i can just eat the deli meat out of the bag. it is protein. i don't even have to like it. i just have to eat enough calories.)#(also i used to cook MUCH more before this apartment which is so small that i can stretch my arms out and overreach the counter length.)#(.... i'm 5.2. so.)

It was delightfully absurd! I love a movie that is off-kilter at every turn!!! The stakes are escalating but rather than suspenseful, it is snappy and spirited

If you have ever wanted to watch a crime movie where the criminals are so incredibly inept at committing crimes that they have to keep pleading with lesbians they've just met to help them, this could be the movie for you

If you have ever wanted to watch a movie where for every scene involving violence there is also a longer lesbian sex scene, this could be the movie for you

Curlie, the Drive-Away Rental Dealer, who is decidedly in a different genre of movie, and who doesn't like people calling him Curlie (his actual name) because it's too familiar, deserves his own shout-out

This movie was exactly the right length!! It didn't drag, it told the story exactly in as much time as it needed (1h24min)

There is only one character in this movie who is based on a real person, and while I could not have predicted who that would be, they were once described with the phrase, "Someone like [them] should be in the Smithsonian."

Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke, who are married, in a polymarous relationship and the latter of whom is a lesbian, directed and wrote this self-described B movie and have been trying to get it made for almost 20 years, which is incredible dedication

Ooof... this is a doozy! Get ready for depressed Vaggie/Valerie! CHAGGIE HUMAN AU LES GO

(Tw: massive talk about drugs n smokin! Like- its literally the main focus 😭)

Valerie used to smoke just to fit in with her friends Adam and Lute, plus the "exterminators" (which I will get into I think next request eheheh 😈). But now that they had a fall out with eachother, she relies on them heavily for other means. She has grown to use them for her anxiety(which, yes, she does have anxiety. It's hell, me and her are twins), although she has become SUPER reliant on them that she goes to any means to get them. Like going to the secret drug dealer that is Anthony(Angel Dust by most). Since he's pretty much everywhere and nowhere at all times, it's like if she wants drugs he is immediately there. It's creepy but it gets the job done I guess.. 😭

(He 100% cares and worries about her. Like, he loves when they talk and tease eachother, they have like a little sibling thing going on and he genuinely thinks of her like a little sister. Maybe cos his sister is dead but like let's move on from that right 😍)

Charlie HATES drugs. Not even hates, she DESPISES them. She tries to get Valerie to stop, but to no avail of course. Despite their differences, Charlie attempts to fit in with her.

It obviously goes to crap. Girl CANNOT and WILL NOT use that "devils dandruff" 😔🙏

Diluc never thought he could be jealous of a plushie. A plushie of himself, (well... his owl-self) which makes everything more absurd. Seeing you use the big owl as a cushion for your head, your arm, your thighs, whatever else, sparks some jealousy in him. Even now, when youre just chilling in the living room with it! Of course, he knows that a plushie wouldnt make you lose love for him, and that a plushie isnt (shouldnt be) more important than him but-

Hes been standing there awfully quiet for some time, and you noticed it too. You look at him, as his eyes transfixed on that plushie of yours, eyebrows just ever so slightly furrowing which makes you understand hes bothered (yes youve been together for so long you know the difference between different brow-furrows). Its funny, Diluc is always unintentionally funny, so you laughed. He snaps out of his inner monolog and looks at you blankly.

"Come here..." you said fondly and raised one of your arm as if making space for him to slide under it. Realising how stupid he looked, he felt embarresed and looked away. But, as your dutiful partner he sits near you, with a blush on his cheeks.

"Owluc, Diluc. Diluc, Owluc. Please be friends," you introduce Diluc to the plush and the plush to Diluc. As embarresed as he is, he managed out a chuckle, seeing how ridiculous this is. How he is. But thats just how he loves you.
