Behind The Scenes...
Tumblr media
Omiscan Villa, Selvadorada, 10:21pm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soldier 1: All hail and welcome to Their Majesties King Lucien and Queen Felicity, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Oskar of Selvadorada, and Lord Giovanni Castellano, Earl Foreker!
Luc: Not much for a grand welcome… this is how you greet your King and Queen?
Rauli: There is no king of Selvadorada, and Her Majesty, Queen Anaid, is standing before you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soldier 2: Stand down, show some respect to your new Monarchs.
Anaid: You may call yourself whatever you wish, sit on my throne, waltz around my home as if it’s your own, but you will never be the true King of Selvadorada. The people will not follow a usurper.
Luc: I don’t need them to choose to follow me. They will follow or they will die. I am the King of Selvadorada, and there’s nothing you, or anybody else, can do about it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felicity: My goodness, it is hot here. The sun has gone down and still it’s stifling!
Anaid: Welcome to life in the jungle. It’s always hot here.
Felicity: Don’t you have air conditioning?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anaid: …No.
Felicity: What kind of backwater place have we landed in, Luc?
Luc: (to Felicity) We will have AirCon installed, my love. (to Anaid) Where is the Princess Rosalind?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ramses: In her room.
Luc: The instructions you were given were for all of you to be in the throne room to greet us.
Anaid: Your instructions said “the defunct royal family of Montero,” of which, not only are we not defunct, but also, Princess Rosalind is not a member. Why should she be here to greet you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luc: I demand that Ivanov bitch come down here at once and bow before me- or I will have her dragged!
Ramses: You’re certainly welcome to try, Lord Frankvan.
Luc: It’s Your Majesty, to you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gio: I’ll go.
Luc: What?
Gio: Rosie and I were in school together, we were friends. I’m sure I can talk to her and get her to see sense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luc: She’s not your friend anymore, Giovanni, remember that. She deserves to be dragged down here by her hair… but fine, I will let you go talk to her. Remind her that I am in charge, and she is now my prisoner, so she better start showing some respect.
Gio: Of course, brother.
Luc: (to the soldiers) Take them away, lock them in their rooms. Remove all cell phones and computers- anything they can use to communicate. (to Anaid) A new reign has begun.

Princess Estelle's Crown
Prince Oskar's Crown, made by Girom & Co. in 1844, is the crown of Princess Estelle. The crown was made for Prince Oskar (later King Oscar II) on the occasion of his father's, King Oscar I, coronation.
The jewels used on the crown were taken from the Treasury. After several crowns were manufactured in the 18th century, the collection of loose jewels and pearls decreased significantly. That is why, for example, two top beads on the two front spiers were taken from Erik XIV's Crown, and the centre emerald was taken from Gustav III's epaulette.
Prince Oskar's Crown was chosen for the newly born Princess Estelle since the future Oscar II was Duke of Östergötland.

October 22 1858: The Birth of Kaiserin Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein
Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein was the eldest daughter of Frederick VIII, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein and Princess Adelheid of Hohenlohe-Lagenburg. Tragedy struck only a week after her birth when her elder brother died from illness. In 1860, her younger sister, Caroline Mathilda, was born. Who was regarded as prettier and a brighter personality than the chubby, serious, submissive Augusta Victoria. Soon Augusta’s mother would give birth to another boy, Gerhard, who died in infancy. Their next male heir and fifth child, Ernst Gunther, was a perfectly healthy baby boy. Augusta would have two other sisters, Louise Sophie in April 1866 and Feodora Adelaide in July 1874.
In her family, she was known affectionately as “Dona.” Augusta’s obedient nature was noted on early in her youth, even by her future mother-in-law Crown Princess Frederick. ‘It is strange how good some children are – and how little trouble they give,’ she wrote to her mother, Queen Victoria, when Augusta Victoria was nine years old.  ‘Ada’s children are patterns of obedience, gentleness – the best of dispositions’. (1)
The thought of a match between Princess Augusta Victoria of Schleswig-Holstein and Prince Wilhelm of Prussia was contemplated ever since they were children, as noted by the prince (future Kaiser, ex-Kaiser) later in the future. But was never taken seriously until after the prince was rejected by Princess Elisabeth of Hesse and by Rhine. Perhaps, Wilhelm was seeking for a rebound in Dona and it was a success. As the couple married on the 27th of February 1881. The marriage has been regarded to be happy but not without struggle. As Wilhelm quickly grew bored at his new wife’s longing for a simple domestic lifestyle, having multiple affairs throughout the years. And in the beginning only saw Dona as a broodmare. It was only after an ear infection gone bad, where Augusta stayed by Wilhelm’s side throughout the duration of it did he start to see her in an adjusted light, but continued to be unfaithful to her.
She bore him seven children:
Wilhelm, German Crown Prince, Crown Prince of Prussia (1882-1951)
Prince Eitel Friedrich (1883-1942)
Prince Adalbert (1884-1948)
Prince August Wilhelm (1887-1949)
Prince Oskar (1888-1958)
Prince Joachim (1890-1920)
Princess Viktoria Louise of Prussia (1892-1980)
Her days as Empress, she was regarded by the court as a prudish, a stickler for rules who punished anyone for the simplest gesture she deemed to be “immoral.” She was deemed by many as unremarkable and plain with a gaudy and tacky sense of fashion. With Nicholas II remarking to his mother, the Dowager Empress. That she ‘did her best to be pleasant but looked awful in sumptuous gowns completely lacking in taste; in particular the hats she wore in the evening were frightful.’
Though as overbearing and a nuisance as she was in public life and a part of her private life, by some family members, such as Empress Frederick (with whom she had a very heated feud with and who Augusta enjoyed snubbing frequently) who wrote to her daughter, Sophie, she was characterized as: ‘very grand and stiff and cold and condescending at first, but became much nicer afterwards.  Perhaps it was also partly shyness.’ and by her younger sister, Louise Sophie that when she was ‘not bowing to the will of her autocratic husband she was easy and indulgent’. “Her cousin Alice of Albany, who was sometimes mildly critical of her older relations, found her ‘most affable and kind’.”(1)
She was her husband’s biggest supporter throughout everything (for better and for worse) and was crushed when she was stripped of her titles as German Empress and Queen of Prussia after the war. Her health, which was already declining ever since the 1890s (causing her to miscarry twice) went down a rapid decline in the 1920s. And it had worsened when she had heard of the news of the death of her youngest son, Prince Joachim. She passed away on the 11th April 1921, in spite of her personal flaws, she was a beloved Empress by the German people and her popularity outshined her husband’s. Thousands lined up to see her off, where she would be buried at the Temple of Antiquities in the gardens near the New Palais in Postdam. Her husband, the ex Kaiser Wilhelm II was forbidden to cross into Germany to see his wife off for the final time.
Her room in Huis Doorn was soon turned into a shrine dedicated to the late Empress. With Wilhelm ordering for the room to regularly be cleaned with flowers and a cross draped over the bed. “Once a week, for the rest of his twenty years, he would retire there on his own, to go and mourn her memory.“ (1)
Wilhelm adhered to his late wife’s wishes for him to marry someone else when she was gone. When only a year later he would marry Princess Hermine of Reuss. He passed away in June of 1941, at age 82, 20 years after her passing.

Notable arrivals at the 87th Simcademy Awards
Beginning | Previous | Next
The Simcademy Awards, an event that is always star studded, is set to wow audiences this year with its most high-profile guestlist ever. Joint-hosted by legendary songstress Dame Gu Gu and former Oskar winning action man, Tomas Drift, this year’s ceremony welcomes not only the biggest names in cinema, but luminaries from the world of politics and even royalty.
Oskar regular Judith Ward will for once step aside and allow others to scoop this year’s “Best Actress” award and will instead be recognised by the Simcademy for a lifetime of dedication to her craft. Snatching trophies may well become a family affair for the Wards, as Judith is joined by her talented daughter Audrina who has been nominated for her ground-breaking voice performance as roguish hound-cyborg Luna Three-Paws in the latest instalment in the beloved animated canine space-pirate blockbuster, Dog Warriors VII: Release the Hounds of Jupiter!
Audrina Ward follows in the footsteps of Camila Pauli, who also picked up numerous accolades for her portrayal of the tragic Lieutenant Kalindra Hound in the Dog Warriors franchise. Pauli once again graces the legendary Simcademy red carpet and hopes to take home an Oskar for her interpretation of Selvadoradan First Lady Perlita Ramón in the latest Bobby Bilbao historical musical Recuérdame, Selvadorada. As the daughter of Selvadoradan president Gustavo Pauli, Camila brings an uncommon savoir faire and depth of feeling to this iconic role, as Ramón has become an idol in Selvadoradan popular culture.
Pauli’s younger brother Víctor takes to the stage alongside Simerica’s own First Son, Frederick Cronin, to present Judith Ward with her much-deserved “Lifetime Achievement” award. This unique lineup and the burgeoning friendship between Pauli and Cronin reflects the rapprochement between Simerica and Selvadorada following years of political wrangling.
The Simcademy will also, for the first time ever, welcome royalty to this auspicious event. Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Germán and Crown Princess Barbie of Uspana have accepted an invitation to this year’s ceremony to represent their country which has been nominated for the category of Best International Feature Film. The Uspanian magical realist epic Where the Moon Rabbits Dance, is the first Uspanian-language film to be nominated by the Simcademy. Adapted from the wildly successful novel of the same name, the film tells the story of a family’s attempt to be reunited against the backdrop of the Uspanian Civil War, which took place during the nineteenth century. Imbued with imagery from the country’s folklore, this movie allows foreign audiences to glimpse, many for the first time, the tumultuous past and rich cultural heritage of the nation.

The children of Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1898.

William II is the first king of Prussia to whom six sons have been born in an uninterrupted line. Large families however have always been the rule and not the exception among the Hohenzollerns, the Elector
Albert Achilles having had twenty-one children and King Frederick William seven sons and seven daughters. As most people know, the present German Emperor is a proud father of seven children -- six sons and a daughter.
Of these the most important point of view is the Crown Prince, now a fine-looking lad of fourteen. He was born at the Marble Palace, Potsdam, at a time when his father was only heir-presumptive to the then German Emperor.
Still the birth of William the First's great-grandson was celebrated with much pomp throughout the German Empire and his young mother, even then known far and wide for her kind heart and womanly tact, sent to all maternity wards of Berlin in order to find out how many boys had been born on the same day as her son. To each of these lucky little mortals was sent a complete layette, and thus the birth of their future emperor became a person matter for congratulation in all the poorer quarters of the town.
The prince, who was given the names of Frederick William Victor Augustus Ernest, was christened, as have been his five succeeding brothers and his little sister, in a marvelous medieval font of Silesian beaten gold enriched with long rows of names-- for all the Hohenzollerns have a right to be baptized in this historic baptismal bowl. Prince William, for so he was known till his father became emperor was also cradled in the bassinet which once contained the infant form of Frederick the Great. This quaint wooden cradle is kept in the Berlin museum, but is occasionally taken out in order to accommodate for a short period of some royal baby considered worthy of the honour. When this occurs the name of the cradle's latest occupant is embroidered across the tiny quilt.
On July 7, 1883 was born Prince William Eitel Frederick Christian Charles. He has up to the present time shared the education of his elder brother. He was followed in quick succession by Prince Adalbert Ferdinand Beringer Victor, born July 14, 1884; Prince Augustus William Henry Gunther Victor, born January 26, 1887; Prince Oscar Charles Gustavus Adolphus, who was born July 27, 1888, and Prince Joachim Francis Humber, the first of the Kaiser's
children born after his accession, and the only prince in direct line who boast of being a Berliner by birth, for he was born in the capital on December 17, 1890.
The German Emperor's only daughter, born in the autumn of 1892, two years after Prince Joachim, was hailed with great rejoicings, and the fact that her birth took place in her father and mother's early married home, the
Marble Palace, gave them both great pleasure. She was christened Victoria after great-grandmother, grandmother, and her mother, and Louise after the good Queen of Prussia --- whose personality is so closely entwined with the
history of her country -- and Adelaide Matilda Charlotte, in memory of divers of relations.
Even those who sympathise but little with the Emperor as a statesman and ruler must admit that he has proved himself to be a model husband and father. Not-withstanding his many duties and all-absorbing cares of state which
he is surrounded, his Imperial Majesty always finds time to occupy himself actively with the education and well-being of his children. Not a week goes by but he has long conversations with their tutors, during which the princes'
various mental peculiarities and aptitudes are thoroughly discussed. William II unlike most modern fathers, has a great horror of all the savours of over-work and brain fatigue. He early made it a principle that his children should
never have their minds cultivated at the expense of their bodies, and it is evident to all those who are brought into contact with the imperial family that the young princes are to be made above all, soldiers and men of action.
The Crown Prince is very musical -- a talent which he inherits from many of his forbears, notably his great-grandfather the late Prince Consort. He began learning the violin when he was only five years old, and is now a fine performer.
This is fortunate, for as the years go on he will find it difficult to devote much time to purely civilian accomplishments. Already he is being thoroughly grounded in the art of military tactics, and whenever it is possible he is
present when his father receives the army chiefs in conference or reviews a portion of his immense army. Indeed the three oldest sons of the German Emperor all hold the rank of lieutenant in the First Regiment of the Guards, and
all possess the Order of the Black Eagle.
The Crown Prince and Prince Eitel have now passed out of their private tutor's hands ; they are being educated at Ploen, in Holstein where they are among the most diligent pupils of the Military School, a famous institution established
in the fine old fortress. A number of professors belonging to the Kiel University also give them special lessons. The two princes will remain at Ploen four years, this is, till 1900. They will then proceed to Bonn, where both their
father and their grandfather lived happy student lives for a while. It is not improbably that Prince Eitel will spend a couple of years at Oxford, for William II has a great belief in English education, and he has on more than one
occasion showed his marked admiration for British university life. The Crown Prince will become an active member of the German army as soon as he is considered strong enough to do so, but he is at present extremely delicate. It is said
that the Emperor intends closely to associate his son with the Imperial Government, and that it was with this object in view that he lately purchased Count von Tugenheim's villa in Potsdam. This beautiful house will become the official
residence of the Crown Prince as soon as his father considers him of an age to undertake the responsibilities of a separate establishment.
Prince Adalbert is to follow his uncle Henry's naval career, and appropriately enough he showed even in his infancy a marked predilection for all that concerns the sea and maritime affairs. Everything is done to encourage this taste, and
among his most cherished personal possessions is a beautiful miniature model of the yacht Hohenzollern, present to him a Christmas gift by his father and mother.
Following the excellent traditions of the British royal family, the German Emperor and Empress have always done everything in their power to preserve among their children a simplicity of life rarely to be found in nurseries and schoolrooms
of those born to great wealth. The two young princes are always encouraged to speak their minds freely -- except of course when strangers are present -- and the Emperor has directed that any questions asked by the Crown Prince and his
brothers should be answered as simply and truthfully as possible and never shirked or explained in an inadequate manner.
Each Christmas, and on many other occasions, such as birthday or festival, after the young princes and their little sister have been shown the many splendid gifts sent to them from their relations, a selection is made, and all that are not
wanted are sent off to the Berlin hospitals to be distributed to the sick children.
The Empress spends a great deal of time with her younger children. All their clothes are made under her direct supervision and every matter concerning their welfare is to her of the deepest moment. Although German is of course habitually
spoken in the royal nurseries and schoolrooms, the Emperor's children regard English in almost the same light as they do their mother tongue. They always speak that language to their governess -- a young English lady -- and they are familiar
with all the story-books dear to English children.
Princess Victoria Louise is adored by her brothers, especially her chosen friend and companion, little Prince Joachim. The two children are often photographed together, and the most prominent object in the Empress's boudoir is a pretty group
showing the brother and sister nestling up to one another. This was executed to the order of the Emperor by a well-known Prussian sculptor, and presented by his Majesty to his wife on her birthday. The youngest child of William II strongly
resembles her mother, being plump, fair, and blue-eyed, in fact an ideal German baby.

Luc & Felicity Welcome Second Son
Tumblr media
❗this post is written from the perspective of a Windenburgian news website, and it lauds the war, and expresses old fashioned values regarding gender roles. Please keep your mental health boundaries in mind and choose for yourself your ability to read it. Thank you.❗
Excerpt from a Conservative, Royalist, Windenburgian News Site:
Tumblr media
Posing in the Throne Room of the Omiscan Villa in Selvadorada, our Windenburgian King Lucien and Queen Felicity have welcomed their second born son! The new little prince, now second in line after his older brother, Crown Prince Oskar, is the very first Windenburgian child to be born on colonial soil!
Tumblr media
King Lucien and Queen Felicity are showing all of us Windenburgians what true patriotism is. His Majesty has spent the last several months instituting new policy and innovative change to the jungle nation of Selvadorada, putting down petty rebel attacks, and gifting the people with the Windenburgian way of life. Her Majesty also shows her dedication to the Empire by continuing her husband's line, ushering in a new generation of Windenburg Sons to shape the future of Selvadorada, and the New Windenburgian Empire as a whole.
Tumblr media
His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Victor, has offered the couple his sincere congratulations as well:
"King Lucien and Queen Felicity are the most dedicated servants to the vision of the New Windenburgian Empire, and We are pleased at the birth of another strong, healthy, Windenburgian Son. We could not be more proud if King Lucien was Our own son. Congratulations."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unable to allow his little brother to steal the show, Crown Prince Oskar made sure to join in on the photo call- growing into the spitting image of his father.
Congratulations King Lucien and Queen Felicity, and welcome to the world,
Prince Otto Lucien Victor Castellano

The Wind Palace, Ahtolia (6:20pm)
Mr. Einsley: Good evening, your royal highness.
Alfie: Evening. Is my mother inside?
Mr. Einsley: Yes, her majesty just returned from a meeting just now. Would you like me to tell her you want to see her?
Alfie: No need. Thank you, Mr. Einsley.

*door closes*
Alfie: Mum, can we talk? I have something to talk to you about.
Sofia: Okay, give me a second. Let me sign this paper. You can have a seat. I’ll call Mr. Einsley to refill the tea.
Alfie: It’s fine. I won’t be long.
Sofia: What’s the rush for? Are you going somewhere?
Alfie: I’m not going anywhere. I just want to ask you a question.
Sofia: Well, what is it?
Alfie: Why didn’t you tell me I was kidnapped when I was a baby?
Sofia:...who told you this?
Alfie: Does it matter? I just want to know why you kept it a secret from me.
Sofia: Your father and I kept it from you because we didn’t want to traumatize you, Alfie. You were so young back then and everything was happening too fast. With the war and people dying here and there. We figured that telling you this will scare you.
Alfie: I have the right to know about this! In case you’ve forgotten, I almost died.
Sofia: How could we forget, Alpheus? You were our first child and you were taken away from us. Do you know how scared we were for your life?
Alfie:...
Sofia: Listen, Alfie. I’m sorry for keeping this from you. We thought that not telling you about this will protect you. But we were wrong and I’m sorry for that.
Alfie: This...this is too much, mum. My mind is a mess right now.
Sofia: I understand. I’m sorry, Alfie. We thought we were doing the right thing.
Alfie: I just...I can’t believe that Lina’s family was involved in this. I felt so betrayed. I really like her, mum. But this...I just can’t...
Sofia: What do you mean?
Alfie: Lina and I...we’re over. I can’t do it. Not when the truth is out.
Sofia: Oh Alfie...
Alfie: I want to enlist. Far away from here. I need time to clear my head.
Sofia: You can take your time. I can send you to Savaria. Your Auntie Alexandra will be there to check in on you. I know it’s hard but don’t hate Lina for what her family did. She’s innocent in all of this.
Alfie:...I’m sorry, mum. I don’t want to talk about her anymore. Please.

Brunch In Café, Hemstad (12:45pm)
Alfie (text message): Where are you?
??? (text message): I’m almost there, gimme a sec!
Alfie (text message): If you’re late I’m going to eat your pie.
??? (text message): Don’t you dare!
Alfie (text message): Watch me :P
Alfie: *chuckles* I bet she’s running here.
Tumblr media
???: *pants* Almost there.
???: I swear to god if he eats my pie, I’ll kill him.
Tumblr media
???: *panting* I’m here! I’m here!
Alfie: *laughs* Oh my god, you really ran all the way here!
???: Oh shut up, you.
Alfie: *laughs* Sorry, Marie, I just think it’s funny how you’re running here when you have a car.
Marie: Are you making fun of me? You know I failed my driving test the other day, right?
Alfie: Oh really? I thought you passed?
Marie: I wish. Oskar had to drive me here and you know he drives very slow.
Alfie: Well, better luck next time I guess. The driving test isn’t that hard.
Marie: Easy for you to say, Mr. “I-can-do-anything-flawlessly”.
Alfie: *chuckles* Hey relax, I can teach you how to drive if you want to. But you’ll have to wait until I can leave camp again.
Marie: Well, don’t you have the “Crown Prince” title? Can’t you just use whatever privileges that title came with?
Alfie: If it were that easy, I would’ve asked them to let me have the weekdays off and only train on the weekends.
Marie: Then you will have to stay here longer. Don’t you miss your home?
Alfie: I do. But I can go back when I have time. So don’t worry about that.
Alfie: Enough talking, here. I didn’t eat your precious pie.
Marie: Of course you didn’t. You hated it.
Alfie: I didn’t hate it. I just hate the cinnamon in it.
Marie: Sure, sure. Whatever you say.

An unforgettable 87th Oskars
Beginning | Previous | Next
Hosts singer Dame Gu Gu and actor Tomas Drift opened the 87th Simcademy Awards with a charming skit referencing Dame Gu Gu’s childhood on a soy farm. Action man Drift descended onto the stage, proving to everyone that - yes - he really does do his own stunts! Traditionally taking inspiration from the year’s biggest and most notable films, the skit left the crowd initially confused, but then in awe of two titans at the top of their respective fields.
On with the evening...
Tumblr media
To no one’s surprise, Camila Pauli picked up her 5th award of the season (Best Actress) for her role in the Selvadoradan musical drama that has taken the world by storm, Recuérdame, Selvadorada. In her speech she thanked the Watcher, her fans, her adoring father, director Bobby Bilbao and her singing coach Terèse Florèse, before she rounded off her acceptance speech with an 8-minute monologue from the film.
Tumblr media
Having journeyed all the way from the Simtinent, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince Germán and Crown Princess Barbie of Uspana accepted the award for Best International Feature Film for the magical realist tale, Where the Moon Rabbits Dance. Tragically, director Raimon Totjorn was unable to attend the ceremony following a skiing accident during a visit to the Felsenbourger resort of Hochhut. Too much Glühwein during the après-ski? Their Royal Highnesses spoke of their joy that part of their nation’s history would be known across the world thanks to this enchanting film.
Tumblr media
A hush descended on the room and the tension in the air was palpable as two tall presidential glassfuls, Victór Pauli and Frederick Cronin, showed that Simerican-Selvadoradan relations have never been stronger. During their presentation of this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Pauli addressed the elephant in the room, quipping that he hoped his co-presenter Fred Cronin would continue to be diplomatic when his former almost-mother-in-law, Judith Ward, came onstage.
Tumblr media
Del Sol royalty, Judith Ward, came onstage with style. Responding to Pauli and Cronin, she joked that even if her daughter couldn’t make a home in the White House, perhaps she might have better luck.
Ward’s acceptance speech was a tour de force of acting, where she presented scenes from her childhood in a Del Sol Valley trailer park, bringing many to tears. She thanked her late mother, whose frequent absence taught her many important lessons about acting, that the whole world was a stage, and that someone, somewhere was always watching you. She finished by thanking herself for her unwavering support and faith.
Tumblr media
And to round off the evening, former DSPD detective Don Shaft also made an appearance (out of uniform)! Shaft has been gate-crashing Del Sol Valley’s most glamorous events for over a year now - since he was fired from the force for being a loose canon and not following anyone’s rules.
As the crowds dispersed from the auditorium destined for a dozen different afterparties, and former Detective Shaft was led away to the station, we are forced to admit that, far from having no relevance anymore, this year’s Oskars have reminded us that celebrating wealthy and entitled artists has the power to enrich us all.
Thanks @nexility-sims for sending the glamourous Crown Prince and Princess to the ceremony 😀
