I rarely post anything Breyer on here, especially my horses, but the shade difference between the chalky glossy FAS (the one on the right) and the non-chalky FAS on the left is amazing.
Also, the one on the left is a bloaty and that's why he's on my sales list. I'm holding the chalky glossy FAS because he doesn't stand lol. Every rare horse I have has something kinda wrong with it (especially if it's a vintage test. I have so many wonky and worn vintage test colors).

Part 7 of my Canon Rdr2 Horses - Buck
After loosing Tasha the choice of my next horse wasn't easy.
With Arthur I didn't really care about getting the fastest horse I wanted the one that looked the best, too me. With John and my hunt for 100% I had other requirements tho, plus of course after finishing the epilogue I finally had enough money that I felt I could splurge.
But I also still have requirements for my horses, size and coat colorwise. I didn't want the dark bay nor the gold turkoman and the arabian are all to small for my taste. So I was left with the Missouri Fox Trotters. The Silver Dapple Pinto sure is stunning if it weren't for his blue eyes but still better than the Amber Champagne.
It took me a while to get used to Buck but his speed, his speed is everything and the two of us crossed all over the map, in all states, many many times while finishing the 100%, the compendium and all story mode achievements. He is still my fast boi whenever I go back to my original save.

Don't know if anyone would even be interested, but I made some of the Ghouls and Ghoulettes as horses in Red Dead Online.
They are...
Mounty - Shire - Dark Bay
Rainy - Mustang - Black Overo
Aether - Ardennes - Bay Roan
Dewy - Arabian - White
Cumulus - Turkoman - Perlino
Cirrus - Nokota - White Roan
Phantom - American Paint - Grey Overo
Ifrit - Hungarian Halfbred - Dapple Dark Grey
Swissy - Kladruber - Dapple Rose Grey
In case anyone wants to know what they are.
I did the best with what the game has and my own options.

I don't know why my brain wanted me to this, so here's the 141 fellers + Alejandro, Rudy and König as RDR2 horses (or horses in general) because why the fuck not! No one asked for this!
1. Captain Price is definitely a Mustang, but the Tiger Striped Bay coat, or maybe the Black Overo coat mustang. I was gonna put an Arabian, but he's 100% Mustang energy
Tumblr media
2. Soap is a Missouri Fox Trotter in the Silver Dapple Pinto coat, or any Missouri Fox Trotter for the matter. Sassy horses.
Tumblr media
3. Gaz is also a Mustang in the Red Dun Overo coat, or the Spotted Tricolor Norfolk Roadster
Tumblr media
4. Ghost is debatable, but he's definitely a Breton in Grey Steel or the Iron Grey Ardennes. Mostly because of its built, but any muscular looking horse will do. Perhaps the Splash White American Paint
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Alejandro has Marble Sabino Criollo energy because look how beautiful it is!
Tumblr media
6. Rudy gives off Dark Bay, Turkoman energy, or Sorrel Overo, Criollo energy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. König on the other hand, is the Shire horse in any coat! So here it is in Raven Black. A giant horse for a giant man!

I will forever be mad that Rockstar didn't put the American Quarter Horse in RDR2.
It's the oldest American breed of horse, originating around the 1660s before really getting distilled into what it is now around the 1750s. I would have scratched the turkoman(which was extinct around by the time of rdr2) or the Dutch warmblood (which wasn't really developed untol the 1960s, but even then the precursor to it was only found in europe at the time of the game.) in favor of the American Quarter horse. Also, it would have better speed, acceleration, and agility than all the other horses and a stamina just below the arabian because they were primarily racing horses. They're the "quarter" horse because they were bred to run quarter mile races. They run 55mph at a full sprint, 10 miles faster than the thoroughbred, which is *the* race horse. They have really strong endurance on top of that, another use was running mail cross country from Missouri to California. From April 1860 to october of 1861. They would run an average of 100 miles a day carrying a rider and an extra 20lbs of mail. They're really versatile horses. They're used in lots of these from racing to working cattle to jumping and dressage, even driving (pulling carriages)
That said. This is what I see when I think Boadicea: a dark bay tobiano quarter horse with a badger face.

(Yes I know she's thought to be a Hungarian half-bred)

The Topography of Second Age Arda (Before the World Was Made Round)
Tumblr media
Map of Second Age Arda from the Atlas of Middle-earth by Karen Wynn Fonstad.
I believe that Karen Wynn Fonstad was using older illustrations by Tolkien when creating some of the maps of unexplored lands, so I'm not sure if this map is completely accurate to Tolkien's concepts of Arda as a whole at the time of Lord of the Rings. Unfortunately, I doubt that we will never know for certain, so this map is probably as "canon" as it gets.
Since Arda is an alternative universe version of our own world, the face of Arda must change multiple times in order to appear as it does today, in the Seventh Age. I consider the landforms of Middle-earth to be somewhat compressed versions of the real world, with analogous landforms that have not yet evolved to their current appearance.
Eriador is analogous to Western Europe; Rhovanion is analogous to Eastern Europe and part of Asia. Middle-earth does not have a Mediterranean Sea, although the Bay of Belfalas does have a similar shape. Near Harad seems to encompass part of the region that the Mediterranean Sea would take up if it was dry land instead of water, as well as part of northern Africa and the Saudi Arabian peninsula. The continent of Far Harad appears to be a narrower prototype of Africa. (The First Age version of Far Harad looked more like modern day Africa, but part of the western region went beneath the waves after the War of Wrath.)
It is interesting to note that Middle-earth does not appear to have a corresponding river to the Nile. Far Harad does have a major river which starts in the Grey Mountains and runs southeast to the eastern coast. The only real world counterpart I could find that looks vaguely similar would be the Niger River.
The Girdle of Arda is the Equator, naturally.
I think that the bay between the words "Hinter" and "Lands" appears to be a proto-version of the Red Sea. The little peninsula which sticks up on the southern mouth of the bay resembles a tiny Horn of Africa.
The two eastern rivers which drain into the Inner Seas bear a slight resemblance to the Tigris and Euphrates.
The Orocarni, the Mountains of the East, might be ancient versions of the Ural Mountains.
I always thought that there should be more land to the east of the Orocarni Mountains, to accommodate the continent of Asia. Perhaps when the world was made round, Eru added more land to Middle-earth, making Rhun much larger than it was in the Second Age.
Possibly the separate continent called Dark Land (South Land) is later broken up, becoming the Indian Subcontient and Australia. A poster on this Reddit post claims that the Dark Land/South Land continent and the Walls of the Sun ceased to exist when the world was made round. Maybe Eru turned Dark Land/South Land into proto-versions of India and Australia, and the Walls of the Sun was added to Rhun, becoming the central and eastern parts of the continent of Asia.
It is my own personal theory that at some point during the Fourth Age, the face of Arda is changed once again, becoming what it looks like in modern days. As for why this great apocalypse occurs?
It's all SAURON'S fault, of course.

Amouage Jubilation XXV Revisited
Tumblr media
Nose: Bertrand Duchaufour
notes: blackberry, olibanum, orange, labdanum, coriander, tarragon; honey, guaiac, cinnamon, bay leaf, clove, rose, orchid, celery seed; opoponax, oudh, myrrh, patchouli, cedar, ambergris, immortelle, oakmoss
I got some Amouage samples from a friend, some new to me and some familiar, but these must be a different formulation than the ones I remember trying before.
They’re more like oil-based perfumes — slow to develop, very close to the skin, and more “muted” and “blended” than the highly legible perfumes I remember. Instead of a sequence of distinct notes, I’m getting more of a unified “personal aura”. The overall effect is subtler and more understated than I remember from last time. Maybe it’s a reformulation?
I remember Jubilation XXV as a regal, dramatic kaleidoscope of scents, with rich fruit contrasting against Duchaufour’s signature dry, almost harsh frankincense and smoky woods.
This time around, it’s a mellow, golden, jammy amber aura (not specifically blackberry-ish but definitely with a sweet dried or preserved fruit aspect). It’s cozy and welcoming, almost to a fault, but never syrupy.
And then, slowly, in the background, I get a gradually rising crescendo of dark smoky fragrant woods, both oudh and guaiac. The smoke is pitch-black and dry, but this time around its starkness is softened and mellowed by the amber.
I don’t get the spices, myrrh, or frankincense I remember being prominent last time around; this time, it’s all about a soft hum of amber, dried fruit, and dark smoky woods.
Jubilation XXV is a “kingly” scent in my mind: along with Ambre Sultan, L’Air du Desert Marocain, and other grand oriental masculines that fuse the spirit and amber-spice-woods palette of Arabian perfume with the classical technique of French perfumery. Among that company, Jubilation XXV is among the friendliest; a warm and generous monarch. (The King of Pentacles, perhaps.)
On a more concrete level, Jubilation XXV is a perfectly balanced amber-oud perfume, almost an exact 50-50 split between warm gold and charcoal black. It doesn’t have the polarizing (barnyard-y or band-aid-y) off-notes real oud can sometimes have, but nor is it a perfunctory synthetic nod to smokiness. This is a smooth, rich, full-bodied, and (to me) genuine-smelling classic oud; you’ll get tons of nuanced smoky-woody flavor.

Spoilers for the next breed. I just want to speak my thoughts into the void :P
I’m just hoping they move well otherwise all these potential plans go down the drain XD. If their animations would be anything like the American Paints, Arabians, or Haflingers I will be SOLD!!
Tumblr media
We’ve got a good basic bay. Not too light nor too dark, just a nice middle ground bay. Tbh the dark shoulder patch could be a deal breaker potentially. But who knows what it’ll look like in game. Otherwise, it currently has no markings and therefore I deem it too plain for my tastes
Tumblr media
Now this one!!!! Oh, I’ve been waiting for a horse like this! Okay so I’m into Attack on Titan, right? Regardless of the current arcs in the anime. That sweet time when titans were a mystery, and the Survey Corps traversed the infested land and escaped via horseback. I have an AoT OC and being the horse girl that I am, I gave her like 6 horses in her charge. One of them, being the main one Lily would train on, was a lighter bay with some sort of stripe or blaze face marking. Back when the Trakehner came out, it was tempting to get that one to be this embodiment. But it was too light. There was the Thoroughbred that was a little closer to the desired color but had no markings. But now!! Axel could potentially finally have a solidified rendition!
Tumblr media
I am also a huge sucker for chestnuts. I have been OBSESSED with a song called Cyberpunk by Ateez since they uploaded a preview of their latest album. Every now and then I’ll watch jumping events on YouTube with music when I’m bored. The timing of some songs and the jumps of the horse match and makes it pretty fun! and I’ve come to associate the song with a chestnut. I do have plans to name a horse Pirate King aka Treasure, but idk if that fits this horse specifically. I’ll need to find a name if I like them. It’ll be down to how they are in game that’ll be the deciding factor
Tumblr media
I’m normally a HUGE fan of dark bays. A little biased because Brave Rebel is my soul horse, the ever-iconic dark bay Morgan. I’m still waiting for the updated Morgans, but if they don’t do them justice, I’ll just have to remake Rebel as a different breed that has similar color. This horse....wouldn’t be the remake option. It looks kind of like an ashy dark bay. Cool on its own, but doesn’t really call my name
Tumblr media
A buckskin? A cutie! Not my personal cup of tea, but I will enjoy other people riding around on this horse and seeing their tack ideas (that I may or may not end up stealing)
Tumblr media
A typical black horse yada yada, BUT! It is what I’m looking for as an anime boy™. Megumi from Jujutsu Kaisen to be exact. I still haven’t decided if the name should be Divine Shadow or Divine Abyss. He will have all the pets! A handful in rotation to mimic his shikigami. The brown raven for Nue, a rabbit for his “rabbit escape”, and I’m hoping we’ll get bigger running pets. Especially wolves or just a big dog that’s close enough for his iconic demon dogs!
Tumblr media
Another chestnut that’s darker than the previous one. I like this color, but again, no markings currently. Markings or a lack thereof will make or break a horse for me. If it has cute markings, I’ll take it! If it stays a plain bagel, then I’ll skip it for another
Tumblr media
This one is a potential horse. Will it end up being a released coat? Will it be made into something else? Who knows! But if it does end up making the cut and going from a blinding white to a sweetly dappled grey (ideally like the Shire, those dapples are just the right amount for me on a mostly “white” horse in game!) then I will take it! Only if the animations are good. Because the theme for a sporty white/grey horse is one of my favorite bois, Inumaki from again Jujutsu Kaisen. Once I saw that you could name a horse “Thorn” in game, I HAD to plan a horse for Toge! As his name translates to Thorn. I just need to wait for the right horse. Could this be the one?
This one while it’s speculated to be changed or removed, it does have a grey muzzle that has a hint of a nose marking. Soooo we’ll see!

Sao equestrian au
Kirito probably would have some kinda cool, strong dark horse, maybe a Friesian or maybe a mustang
Asuna I feel like she'd have a very gentle but still fast and strong horse. Maybe an Andalusian. Maybe a white one. Or maybe a grey one with a white mane. Going well with her white and red / white and blueish color scheme.
For leafa is a tough one. But I imagine her with a Arabian or a trakehner. Or maybe even a bulkier kind. Like a Irish cob. Likely one with a palomino or cream coat of some kind.
Silica I'm between either maybe an appaloosa or an haflinger. Or if you want to go the complete opposite size. A Percheron or a Clydesdale.
Lis is also difficult. But I could see her with a Cleveland bay (English horse) or a fell pony (also British)
For Sinon I could think maybe. Could have a hanoverian, or an anglo-arabian.
Klein could probably have a Kisouma (samurai horse) or a quarter horse
Agil dutch draft. Or a shire.
i love this so much also i could see lis with a shetland pony. not to ride just to hang out with

The fall horses kinda got me thinking and tbh I feel like a lot of SSO's horses are kinda same-y if that makes any sense? I remember when the paint horses came out and seeing the chestnut one in Fort Pinta and then looking at the bay sabino Clydesdale that was there at the time and being like "Wow besides the mane these horses are the same color." I guess with normal horses I understand because they have to follow a breed's allowed coats and there's only so many coat colors to go around but with fantasy horses? Where anything is possible? Antheia looks like the songsorrow which already looked similar to the woodear. It even has the same mushroom thing going on as the woodear too. And as much as I love it, the embermane is the third dark-grey-to-black horse with a fiery mane we've gotten after the red and black nixie and the Galloper Whinfell. And while the snowdancer's magic coat is pretty distinct the non-magic coat is the third light grey on the arabian model and second dapple grey. I could go on but basically what I'm trying to say is I hope SSO starts thinking a little outside the box soon

Distinctive Features of the Arabian Horse Breed
Tumblr media
Arabian horses, otherwise known as Kuhaylan, Hamdani, Hadban, Saqlawi, and Abyan are some of the oldest and historic breeds of horses. They are particularly known for their strength, gentleness, stamina, speed, and elegance. This horse breed was developed in the seventh century CE by the Arabs, and it has made significant genetic contributions to other contemporary light breeds. The horse breed is reported to have been first domesticated by the Bedouins for hunting, transportation, and war.
The Arabian horse is unique and has very distinctive features and attributes. Horse breeders also describe them as the most improved of all horse breeds. Although the horses originated from the Arabian Peninsula, the United States has the highest population of Arab horses of any country. This horse breed has been noted to outlive most other horse breeds. While an average horse lives to the age of 20 to 25, most Arabian horses hit their prime at 20 and can live longer than 30.
One of the factors that separates Arabian horses from other horses is their physical attributes. Some of the Arabian horses’ distinguishable physical characteristics include their chiseled head, deep chest, strong and dense legs, hoizonatal pelvic bone, high feathered tail, short back, and long arching neck. These physical features have helped them thrive in some of the world’s harshest deserts.
Some of the Arabian horses’ adaptations facilitated by their physicality include their ability to require less food compared to other horses. Similarly, their high tail makes it easier for them to adjust to extreme heat, while their hoof structure allows them to withstand rocks and sand. Further, the Arabian horse’s lung capacity makes it possible for them to go long distances in the sultry heat without getting easily exhausted. Their dense bones provide them with the physicality and strength needed to navigate the deserts, while their skin is specially adapted to keep their body warm in the harshest sun.
Arabian horses come in different colors. Their coat colors might range from grey, Chesnut, black, and bay. Most Arabian horses are dark-skinned with white markings underneath their chest. This physical trait was instrumental in helping them adapt to the extremely sultry conditions of the dessert. Further, while these horses have a fine hair coat, there is little to no hair around their eyes or muzzle.
In addition to its physical characteristics, the Arabian horse is known for its intelligence and its affection for humans. Because this horse breed is highly sensitive, they tend to form an emotional connection or a strong bond with their handlers. Similarly, they are fast learners and are easily trainable. This has made them adaptable to different conditions. Further, this horse breed is famous for their loyalty to their handlers and they can go the extra mile to satisfy their owners.
Movement is another distinctive characteristic of every horse breed. A horse’s movement often reflects function, comfort, and soundness. Arabian horses usually move in a straight motion. This means that their strides are straight without any major form of interference. Similarly, the length of their stride is such that it has an extended and ground-covering reach. This is primarily due to the fact that their legs tend to move freely in a flowing motion from their shoulders down to their hips. Also, Arabian horses have smooth gait. They have a soft footfall that makes their mount a little more comfortable.
