I’m not that bad. Am I?

Warnings: not really any warnings because most of this is just bickering between Ace and y/n but there is a bit of smut at the end!

Summary: if there was one thing you absolutely despised, it was pirates. You’ve encountered a few of them and they all were horrible people. Well…except the most recent one you’ve met..

• You can still remember the first time you met him. You hated his guts. Couldn’t stand the way he carried himself and how sweet he was to everyone around him. Well..the truth is you only really hated him cause you knew he was a pirate.

• “Can you guys believe it?! Firefist Ace is in the center of town, fighting a group of bandits!” Now, this you had to see. You followed the group of people. When you finally pushed your way through the large crowd, you couldn’t believe your eyes. Ace was putting those bandits on their asses. He used his crazy devil fruit power to handle them like they were ants. “Are you ready to admit it?”

• The leader of the bandit crew got up but he seemed like he was in rough shape after going a few rounds with Ace. “Screw you!” The bandit yelled out before charging at Ace. “Come on. Have you learned nothing!” Ace yelled back as he sent a Firefist straight at the wicked man. “All I needed you to do was admit that you tried to steal this young lady’s coin bag. This all could have been avoided.” Ace blew the tiny flame from his pointer finger as if it were a gun he just fired.

• The residents of your town cheered for Ace while he tried to make his exit less heroic as possible. “Please.” He held a hand up as he scratched the back of his head. “No need to thank me.” The townspeople continued their joyous cheers and applause. Ace hated this part of saving people. The part where they all surround him to offer him gifts to show their thanks. Ace just wanted to be a good guy and then go on his way.

• Ace got through the people and tried to waved them off but as soon as he turned around, there was a second large group of people. Now this was the part that he LOVED. The part where all the young ladies of the town came to thank him. “That was so heroic! Thank you for saving me.” The woman he defended rubbed his arm as she thanked him. “You are so strong. Where are you from?” Another woman asked while she stroked his long hair. You watched as the women fell head over heals for him. You weren’t like them though. Cause you knew his secret.

• When Ace finally got away from the village and out of sight from everyone he pulled out his log post. “Dammit. How much longer is this gonna take. I can’t stay on this island anymore. I need to set sail.” Just then another young woman approached him. That young woman being you. “Set sail?”

• Ace jumped up when he heard the voice of a woman behind him. He quickly shoved the log post back in his bag and looked over his shoulder to face you. “Oh, hey there.” He flashed you a smile. “What are you doing so far away from your town? Won’t they be upset if your wandering alone?” You didn’t respond as you just glared at him. You didn’t like him and wasn’t gonna fall for his charms like all the other townspeople and helpless damsels. “I know what you are.” You crossed your arms. “You’re a pirate. No better than the dirt on the bottom of my shoe.”

• “Oh? That’s really what you think?” “Yep. Im not sure why you’re even here.” Ace scoffed and his smile quickly went away. “Someone’s daddy raised them with a complex.” You furrowed your eyebrows at his statement. “What’s that supposed to mean?!” “It means that you think you’re better than me just because I’m a pirate.” Ace put his backpack on and strutted past you to start walking back towards the village. “Where do you think you’re going?”

• “Dont worry about me so much. Im just a lowly pirate after all.”

• Ohhh this guy was grinding your gears. You didn’t wanna allow him to just walk back into town but who were you to try to stop a crazy pirate. He could snap and attack a girl like you. If only you really knew what ace was thinking. He was never gonna hurt you. He would never hurt a women. He actually liked you. Thought you were really pretty.

• A few hours later and nightfall had come. Ace needed a place to settle for the night before he can take off tomorrow morning. He keeps walking throughout the town, in hopes of finding a sign that is welcoming a overnight stay. When he finally arrived at a building that had a sign that said one night there was only 40 berries, he couldn’t pass up that deal. Upon walking in, he got greeted by two women and he gave them a smile before bowing. When he lifted his head, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the face he was seeing. It was you! It was the pretty chick who was all mad at him earlier. Who woulda guessed that her parents owned this inn? Small village, huh?

• Once Ace got his room he began to settle in before hearing a light knock on his door. When he opened it, another smile creeped on his face. “We have got to stop meeting like this.” He said as he leaned on the doorway. “I don’t wanna meet you at all. In any circumstance.” He gave you a confused look while he tilted his head. “Yet…you came to my door..”

• “I work here. I still have a job to do.” You then forced a smile back at him. “Could I get you anything else before you turn in for the night? A glass of water or a snack before bed, perhaps?” You said through your gritted teeth. You couldn’t believe that you had to do this. If anything, you wanted to punch him in his face and curse him out for tricking your parents like their fools. “Mhhh.” He put his finger on his chin as if he were actually thinking. “I could use some company tonight. It gets lonely on the seas. So I haven’t spend the night with a women in a long time.”

• That was it. The last straw that made you snap. You took your hand and slapped it across his face. Ace was clearly caught off guard for a moment but he remained nice and let his smile return to his face. “You’re strong..” The man put a hand over the spot you slapped before continuing. “but I think you misunderstood me. I only want someone to talk too. Nothing more, I promise.”

• You scoffed but then thought about it. This was actually perfect. All you had to do was give him a few minutes of your time and then you ask him for a favor. That favor being to stay away and never return back here. “If I talk with you then you have to promise me that you will pack up and leave by the morning.” You said as you stomped your foot. “So if I promise to leave by the morning, you will stay here and keep me company?” You nodded your head and awaited his answer.

• “Deal.” He opened the door more for you to come inside. “Come in. Let’s talk.”

• You both sat and talked for about ten minutes until ace managed to slip in a compliment that caught you way off guard. You tried to hide the sudden blush that appeared on your face but Ace caught a peak of it.

• “I see ya’ blushing over there.” You hid your face and turned away from the man. “Barely! You must think I’m easy.” “Not at all, hun. I just think you’re really beautiful when you get all shy like that.” He put his elbow on the armrest of the car he sat in and leaned on his the palm of his hand while staring at you. “I also think you’re beautiful when you get all mad at me.”

• You guys sat for longer and just talked and talked about various different things. “This was nice. I surprisingly enjoyed this talk.” You quietly said. “I have been quite lonely and don’t really find much people to talk to besides my parents and the occasional fling. So thank you.” The tension in the room had started heating up way faster than you had expected. For some reason you had started to feel attraction for this pirate. When talking wasn’t enough to smooth the loneliness in each other’s hearts, Ace took it a step further and put a hand on your thigh. “Just know that you don’t have to be lonely all the time.”

• When you felt him reach your skin, you jumped a bit but let him rest his hand there. He was sort of right. You hated sleeping in an empty bed at night. So maybe tonight you didn’t HAVE to be alone. Needless to say, one thing led to another and now he has you right where he wanted you. In his bed with his hands roaming your body. “I can’t believe I’m letting this happen.” You grunted. Ace immediately paused and leaned up. “If you don’t want too then that’s fine. You can leave and I wont follow.” He put his hands up and gave you an opportunity to dip if you changed your mind. When you remained in the bed, Ace smirked and kissed you on the lips. “I knew you wanted me.”

• “Shh. Because you know. I don't want my shit I've worked on for hours stolen. Like my writing of thousands of words and my multiple illustrations. Imagine. I'm so crazy for not wanting that. /s

I can't believe they were so fucking pissy abt that little detail they literally stole my work and now it's in an AI somewhere/everywhere.

im sure ur getting a lot of questions but i would like to say, thanks for posting about the Situation at hand, the context youve provided has been really insightful about the internal health/workings of tumblr. i am worried about the future though.. despite everything, i really dont want to see this website die.. in any case, i hope something good happens to you today

i don't want to see this website die either. it does worry me — i wouldn't have made the posts i did if i didn't care, if i hadn't spent six years doing my best at automattic and much longer than that growing up in open-source and on tumblr. (this is a new account, a couple of years old, but i've been around a while.)

the thing is, terfs (and nazis, and so on) are not a tumblr problem. the increasing legal burden on large websites to effectively moderate their sites in the face of increasingly strategic tos-compliant hate groups is not a tumblr problem. and the state of the tech industry over the last few years has made me very disheartened in general about where we're all supposed to go to keep in touch with each other — nothing out there is built and run both by people who have enough money to hire a policy team and a trust and safety team who will be treated well enough to design a less hateful platform from the ground up, and people who actually want to do that.

capitalism, as always, you know? moderating tumblr effectively would both require it not to be led by people like matt and to have the resources to cultivate a healthy, happy company where free speech without bigotry is at the fundamental heart of the product's design.

i don't think we'll get there! i think the structural problems with tumblr are structural problems with Big Tech, with venture capitalism, with capitalism as a whole, and so on, and cannot easily be fully fixed within that system even if matt suddenly decided to log off after fully empowering all staff to focus solely on harm reduction. i do however think that, as with twitter, people will make the best of what we've got, and contradictions and tensions between different groups will sharpen as they have offline, and we'll all be along for the ride.

maybe a boring old person thing to say but: i get a lot of fulfilment out of organising in person. i've been a prison abolitionist alongside a lot of other qtpoc comrades for nearly a decade now, and the good work we do helps me believe in a future we can thrive in. if that's available to you, doing good in some small way with people who believe in it is good for the soul and the world.

now that namjoon was home alone, he decided to try a new recipe out. ‘for beginners’ ‘anyone can make this!’ the box read and he decided to give it a try. he followed the instructions EXACTLY as it read but he still managed to mess things up. once he cleaned up the mess he spilt on the floor and got what remained on the stove, he was proud of himself for making it this far. he proudly stirred the concoction when the front door slammed open. “hi namjoon its (y/n)!”

your high pitched voice and sudden appearance startled him and he quickly tried to hide the fact he was attempting to make something, but in the rush he instead grabbed the burning hot pan with his bare hands. quickly dropping it, the food exploded everywhere in the kitchen. he slipped on the once-again spilt food and laid on the floor in defeat, holding his burnt hands close.

you rushed in and found that food covered the kitchen; the counters, the floor, even the ceiling couldn’t stay clean. as you rounded the counter, you saw that even namjoon himself was covered. you bend down and grabbed his back to help him sit up. “what happened here?” you questioned with worry.

namjoon looked the opposite way, clearly embarrassed but winced when his hand touched the floor. “dont worry about it, but i might need you to take me to the hospital.” he showed you his burnt hands and as you helped him to the car he tried to pretend like he wasn’t embarrassed, but was failing miserably.

he made a bet with the members and lost horribly. as punishment, he was forced to wear a dress and jog on the treadmill for 15 minutes straight. after the members laughed and got their videos, most of them left the room. yoongi stayed back only to make sure jin fulfilled his punishment. with only 3 minutes left on his timer, jin shouted out to whoever was listening;

“you brats are gonna get spanked when im done, i swear.” he pants out and turns to see whichever member is there. only he doesn’t see any members, he sees you standing there, a hand covering your mouth as you stand there in shock. he trips over his dress and falls face first into the treadmill, which throws him off and onto the floor. he sits there for a moment, not sure of what to say or if he should say anything at all. he glances behind you and sees yoongi, sitting in his same spot and copying your reaction; a hand covering his mouth except he’s holding back a laugh.

he gets up and walks past the two of you, rips the dress off and practically runs to his car and leaves.

he locked himself away in his room and logged onto the sims after shutting the window blinds. he smiled to himself as he saw the sim he made of you; his wife.

there was a pounding on his door and he groaned, “go away!” he told the members when suddenly jin spoke up; “yoongi, (y/n)’s here!” he jumped up from his seat and opened the door to find you standing there, smiling at him. everyone rushed into his room and before he had time to think, you were sitting at his desk. looking at his screen.

you clicked the mouse around a couple of times and then slowly turned the chair to face yoongi. his eyes widened, and he was about to speak before hobi cut him off.

“YOU MADE (Y/N) YOUR WIFE IN THE SIMS?”

embarrassed, he looked down at his feet as some of the members giggled. his face bright red and palms sweaty as he avoided your gaze for the rest of the night.

hobi

“okay, how are you gonna show (y/n) you like her?” taehyung asks hobi, his voice slightly echoing in the empty practice room.

“i was thinking of asking her to dance, and doing something like this?” he sounds unsure as he speaks but goes for it anyways. he grabs taehyung’s hand and twirls him around; taehyung stays quiet and lets him do what he needs to. the pair dance hand-in-hand and to top it off when the music hits its high, he lifts taehyung off the ground and spins while holding him up in the air. taehyung laughs at the stupidity of it all right as the practice room door swings open, you standing there with a deadpanned look on your face. hobi freezes, still holding taehyung high up in the air and he realizes how this must look to you.

“(y/n)…” he starts but you simply walk away. he drops taehyung and falls to the ground with him. defeated, he covers his face with his hands to hide his embarrassment

“why did she have to walk in now??”

jimin

jungkook once again threw jimin to the ground, making the score 0-4.

“jimin give up, i’ve already beat you 4 times now and im starting to feel bad.” jungkook laughs to his friend on the floor.

jimin clutches his side in pain “i need to win at least once” he pants out, clearly exhausted from being thrown to the ground too many times.

jungkook just shrugs and helps him up, and as they begin to fight again jimin hears a noise coming from the practice room door. he figures someone ordered food and it’s the delivery guy so he ignores it. at least he does until he hears your voice. he looks over towards the door and sees you talking with the guys; food in both hands. you notice him staring and smile at him “hi jimin!”

he’s suddenly thrown to the ground and this time he lands on his back. his eyes slam shut as he tries to ignore the pain, gripping his back he tries to stand but ends up back on the floor. he wishes he could die in this moment.

eyes still closed, he can hear your sweet voice yelling at jungkook and suddenly your voice sounds closer and a warm hand lands on his shoulder.

“are you okay?” he smiles and tries to laugh it off but chokes back a tear instead. “y-yea im good” he’s gonna kill jungkook later.

taehyung

taehyung was finally enjoying a day off. he refilled the bowl of snacks him and the members were munching on before taking it back out to the pool. he carefully walked outside and a movement from the corner of his eye caught his attention. the side gate opened and you joined the members in the backyard. taehyung continued walking, but was no longer watching his step. his eyes were only on you and he called out your name. of course, right as you look his way his foot slips and he falls into the pool, taking his towel and the snacks with him.

the snacks immediately float to the top of the water and he fights to get out from under the soaking-wet towel. he gasps for air once he hits the surface and you’re there to help him out, while the members are laughing at the side. jungkook even managed to catch it on video and taehyung closed his eyes in defeat, knowing the video would be posted online later.

jungkook

you and the members sat in the living room together, watching movies and playing games. jimin on your right and namjoon on your left. the three of you giggled together as the movie came to an end and jungkook decided he wanted to play a game next. he ran to the other room to grab a deck of cards and smiled to himself on the way back. i hope (y/n) likes this game

entering the living room as fast as he could, he missed jin’s foot stretched out in front of him and tripped, the cards scattering around the room.

Heyy! just found your acc and I am absolutely loving it here. idk if you'll read or reply to this but im writing this just because im kinda disheartened seeing some of these jikooker's behaviour. like i get it, we should always be open to the possibility of jikook being in a relationship with someone else but to see them dropping jikook in a matter of seconds after one shady grainy video drops is just... some are still adamant that jungkook does infact have a girlfriend. I've been seeing so many "jikook broke up", "jikook just bros", "jikook poly", "jikook were just fck buddies" it feels like these jikookers are just heavily insecure and somewhat believe certain taekookers' theories as they've been going off about how jikook haven't been close in 2023 and they are no longer 'glued together' just because we don't see it.

its like they were just ready to drop jikook and found this video issue to be the perfect opportunity lol....i honestly don't know where im going with this dkdkdjflkdjf but yeah. i dont think it was jungkook in that video (pretty obvious if you ask me) and I'll keep supporting jikook. jikook's bond is so different than all the other duos in bts and them not dating would be more shocking than them dating each other. ig these jikookers don't wanna act how taekookers did in the whole taennie situation but that's the thing this jungkook thing is in NO way similar to the taennie proofs we got. we got HD pictures and saw their managers in their video ffs.

also the acc that posted that video on weibo went on to post a clearly fake edited video of "jungkook" roaming around his apartment when asked why don't they have more videos of jungkook if they had so much access to jungkook's apartment, and had their lie get debunked so yeah. mindless rant over i guess. JIKOOK FOREVER.BTS FOREVER.

You see right there- even if it was Jungkook in that video it is not conclusive of anything. It's just back hug. Looks like a younger boy worrying his Noona to me and if it wasn't then we need to talk about a little things called consent. Sis looked like she could use her personal space.

Besides, if it were him, nothing special there. He does that with every one. Almost all BTS members. I remember a video of Jimin asking him what he was doing clinging onto him behind him.

He did it with the tattoo girl and said there was nothing between them. How could this have been any different?

I feel people aren't used to seeing him interact with girls that much so they get uncomfortable getting glimpses of him around girls.

They will tell you he is the handsiest member of bts but then turn around and act flabbergasted when he gets handsy with anyone that's not their bias.

I'm glad he put those fake rumors to rest.

The creepy things obsessed fans do and the lengths they go to give me chills. No respect for his privacy whatsoever.

He has friends other than jimin. He has FEMALE FRIENDS as well. People need to get used to that fact and stop acting like a disturbed beehive whenever the topic comes up.

He has female friends cousins acquaintances dancers assistants etc and he has a unique dynamic with each.

The entire Fandom needs to grow up.

For now I'm just embarrassed for them. Imagine cooking up a lie that didn't even take 2 secs to be shut down. The audacity they had to come into our dms trying to convince us we are making excuses for him and not accepting facts meanwhile the delulu ones were them all along.

And they seem to forget some of us are part of the groups they meet at to cook up these elaborate narratives just to stirr up shit. They dumb as fuck.
