A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)

Drift and Rodimus usually somehow end up with more energy than they started with. Ratchet, on the other hand, is embracing being an old man and wants to nap. So lots of times, they’ll all cuddle for a minute and then Drift and Rodi will run out to get food or something and come back for more cuddles after.  

B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)

Rodimus’s favorite body parts of his own are his thighs. He just thinks they have a nice shape! His favorite body part of Ratchet’s is Ratchet’s chest. He likes a guy with a big chest. Man tits. His favorite body parts of Drift’s are Drift’s finials. They’re very cute and expressive and he loves them.

Rodi is also not as experienced as he would like people to think, even if he’s maybe more experienced than Ratchet. He’s got a persona to maintain, okay?

For all three of them together, they’re very much fans of the position where A is riding B who’s getting fucked by C. Using letters as stand ins bc they like to switch around a lot, but Rodi riding Ratchet while Drift spikes Ratchet is a fave within that fave. 

G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)

They’re goofy! They laugh and tell jokes and tease each other lots. They do have times when it’s more serious and intense, and generally as they get into whatever they’re doing, the lightheartedness tapers off, but they’re very comfortable with each other, and that means humor and smiles and all that sappy shit. 

H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)

Unfortunately they are robots and do not have hair

I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)

Very. Drift and Ratchet are SO romantic with each other in MTMTE, and I imagine having Rodimus there doesn’t change that much. They love each other, and sex is a way to show that love. Lots of kisses and “I love you”s and fond touches. 

J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)

Ratchet is a horny bastard. He’s DEFINITELY the one who jerks off the most out of all of them. 

K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)

BDSM, exhibitionism (mostly Drift and Rodi), voyeurism (mostly Ratchet), teeth/biting

L = Location (favorite places to do the do)

OUGH see above exhibitionism. Closets have always been a favorite of Drift and Rodimus’s, but since they’re supposed to be proper grown up officers now they’ve done less and less risky stuff and now stay mostly within the confines of one of their quarters. Drift and Rodimus have always wanted to get it on in Swerve’s, though. 

M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)

Dancing together, especially for Drift and Rodimus. Watching Rodi and Drift dance, for Ratchet. Watching Drift with his swords <3. Post-mission adrenaline. Play fighting. Rodi’s fire stuff.

None of them like consent play. Rodimus hates having his mouth covered bc he’s claustrophobic. None of them like anything with fluids bc it just squicks them out. Nothing else, really!

Mmmm projecting my stone butchness onto Drift but Drift LOVES to go down on both of them. He’s good at it, too. He could do it forever he just finds it very satisfying and almost meditative. And, of course, hearing the sounds he pulls out of them is always good. 

Ratchet is the king of focus and precision so he gives GOOD head. Doesn’t do it as often as Drift just bc he doesn’t enjoy it quite as much but DAMN he’s good at it. 

Rodi is very enthusiastic but a bit lacking in the finesse department. Mostly, it’s just not his favorite thing, but if he’s asked to do it, especially as part of a scene, he’s MORE than willing.

Depends totally on the context. They go with whatever fits the mood!

Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)

Sure! Ratchet is actually the most into quickies. Rodimus tends to want to drag things out and make them late (and be a brat about it) and Drift could take it or leave it. They’re not quickie-averse, and when they’re all so busy, quickies become a bit of a sanity-saver. Usually just two of them at a time, bc the logistics of a threesome aren’t exactly quick even if you’ve done it before. 

R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)

Nah not really. They’ve all lived enough to do most of their experimenting before this, and 4 million years of war leaves enough trauma that they’d rather not go poking around for new obscure triggers. They’re old!! They’re more than willing to play it safe at this point. 

S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)

Hmmmmm I don’t know. Whatever’s standard robot stamina I guess? Rodimus tends to last a bit longer than Drift and Ratchet.

T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)

They’ve got a pretty decent collection between the three of them! They’ve all got things they use on themselves, but some stuff is for group sex. A nice vibrator, a spreader bar, a few dildos, some handcuffs, some rope, the works. 

U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)

Oh Rodimus is SUCH a tease. He loves kissing and he’ll make out with them forEVER. Just kissing and touching. Being a fucking tease. You know how it is. 

The other two are much more direct. 

V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)

Rodimus especially is LOUD. He’s very insistent about what he wants. Ratchet is next, with a lot of moans and swearing, and Drift is usually the quietest. Mostly just some panting and sighing from him. 

W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)

Rodimus and Drift are Amica Endura, Drift and Ratchet are Conjunx Endura, and they’re considering doing a new three-way Conjunx bond with all of them at some point in the future. 

X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)

Ratchet and Rodimus are both around whatever “normal” is for giant robots, and Drift is on the lower side of the sex drive scale. They’re all really busy, too, so they generally don’t manage sex with all three of them more than like twice a week. 

Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)

I sort of touched on it in letter A, so this is a perfect way to bring it full circle lol. Drift and Rodimus don’t fall asleep quickly after sex. They’re actually kind of wired for a little while. Ratchet falls asleep right after, though. He’s a grandpa at heart.

for those of u who dont know my nickname in our tf server is stage iv drift liker so im afraid uve just turned the key on pandora's box

favorite thing about them: drift is the kind of person who is constantly kicked down and beaten up by life and just refuses to stop living. and im not just talking about his early life in the dead end im talking about how drift joined the decepticons to help make cybertron a better place for people like him only to eventually realize that the decepticons had entirely abandoned that cause halfway through the war and he'd just missed the memo. and instead of giving up and defecting he stays with the decepticons and throws himself fully into the war to try and end it so that they Can start building that better cybertron that he was promised. and then that doesnt work and he ends up abandoned on theophany and he meets wing and ends up forging a better life for himself and learning to heal from all the shit thats happened to him. and then the decepticons show up and the one person he'd grown close to since megatron ends up dying because of them - because of him, because they'd shown up because of him. and instead of giving into the complete and utter despair of that reality, he goes on thru sheer force of will. he joins the autobots and becomes close to rodimus and they make this plan to just say fuck it to cybertron and go out to live their lives without having to deal with the likes of prowl breathing down their necks. and then he watches rodimus trip and fall into prowl's manipulations anyways, and still sticks with him, and works night and day to keep the crew from finding out, to the point that when the overlord thing inevitably blows up in their faces he takes the fall. and so again he finds himself losing the person he's closest to - both of them, since he's now being torn away from ratchet after finally getting to be around him after 4-something-million years. (oh, and also while he was going around on the lost light he ends up finding out that the rest of new crystal city ended up being destroyed and all its inhabitants have disappeared. just one more piece of his life that he's lost.) and still he forces himself to go on. he makes a living out of bounty hunting, even if it isnt much of one, and finds some kind of purpose to fulfill in saving the lives of those who cant save themselves. and then ratchet comes to get him and he agrees to go back to the lost light with him, and they survive through all the shit the universe tries to throw at them, and make it back to cybertron and makes a home together, and they get to live together and be happy for some indeterminate amount of time, and for once nothing is going wrong and he gets to live the life he set out to create all those years ago.

and then ratchet dies.

least favorite thing about them: idk !!! i really like him a lot. even the parts of him that would annoy me in any other character just endear him to me more.

favorite line: all his lines during the sparkeater arc in mtmte + ALL of his lines in eos are very special to me. i probably couldn't pick a favorite. but i will use this space to remind everyone that "be shoosh" is a real actual thing drift has said in canon.

brOTP: obviously we got the drift + rodimus friendship but i also really like the scraps we get to see of drift's friendship with pipes. if overlord never happened i like to imagine that pipes wouldve slowly integrated drift into the minibot friend group and they wouldve gotten along well together :]

OTP: dratchetrod all the way babey !!!!!!!!!! my all time fav

nOTP: hummmm..... i do enjoy wrift but not in the way most people like to portray them so i guess that counts. wrift while drift is still at crystal city and at an incredibly vulnerable point in his life is just kind of ehhh and feels a bit predatory on wing's end to me. but i love wing-lives-au wrift where they meet up after drift has figured his own shit out and is much more firmly on the route to recovery.

random headcanon: i think drift would listen to machine girl unironically. i think he would absolutely love love love machine girl he would go batshit to machine girl. also i think he would really love to garden, both organic plants and crystals. the act of nurturing new life and watching it grow and flourish because of him would help him a lot to work thru the hangups his time as deadlock wouldve given him.

unpopular opinion: oh god so many. a) the sex worker drift shit is weird and fetishistic as fuck, b) the way people talk about drift's past as an addict in a lot of fanwork is INSANE and really shows how many people view addicts as less-than human, c) direct quote from @sparkxii : "Test for transformers fans describe Drift and if you do an overly detailed description of his legs a car comes down from the ceiling and falls on you a la saw trap style"
