alternate universe trigun where both Vash and Knives are androids. hear me out.

so in this universe plants are much less humanoid. in fact they look more like big floating brains, and the plant scientists are just starting to figure out that they have some capacity for thinking.

then one day, a plant starts producing these two strange growths. there's lots of theories, that they're tumors or a defense mechanism. only a few think maybe its reproducing.

the growths are independents. they separate and demonstrate much more neurological activity than regular plants.

somewhere along the way, someone has the bright idea to try and read the electrical impulses, then connect them to something the plant can control.

many years later, and they've made humanoid bodies to connect to the plants. Vash and Knives open mechanical eyes for the first time, and are effectively born.

With Rem as the head researcher, this team of plant scientists are determined to understand plant behavior through this new medium. what fascinates and frightens them is that Vash and Knives are extremely human-like. which means the organic generators they have been using might also be able to think and feel with the same familiarity that the twins do.

Basically the plot of trigun happens but with androids this time.

EARTHSPARK SPOILERS

Hi so I noticed some silly things

I'll just cut right to the chase. 1. Soundwave never transformed throughout this entirety of the new episodes, despite other fliers doing so. 2. Twitch looks as though she's going to have permanent optic damage. 3. Where the hell is Tarantulas?????

First: Soundwave my beloved little guy Skywarp and Novastorm transformed when they couldn't keep up with Starscream when they were escaping GHOST. Soundwave did not, and got trapped. In episode 25, when Starscream's trine are in the air fighting Megatron, Soundwave is riding with the grounders-- despite being a flier himself. Why is he not transforming? Did someone take his T-Cog? is it damaged? Because there was some heavy emphasis on that (transforming, T-Cogs) for the past season.... Please Earthspark give us more Soundwave development. What happened to him?? Why is he not transforming???? Second: Twitch After the blast from Mandroid's (failed as far as we know) weapon, and she is healed, her previously destroyed optic is noticeably dimmer from then on in the following scenes. I think she has permanent optic/vision damage, which will be interesting to see in the next episodes (please let there be more). This also makes me think that the writers also did something to Soundwave if they're doing such a major permanent(?) thing to a main character.

Third: Please where is he Where is Tarantulas? What happened to him?? You cannot convince me that Nightshade wasn't making those holoprojectors for him. Please where is Tarantulas?? We need the skrungly back

Their panic began to morph and change shape. In one instant, it felt like they had died several deaths, and in the next, several lives, none their own, washed over them. They were alone now, but there was more than just nothing. Anticipation pooled in a low fog, filling the gaps between the stillness of one second and the next. The taste of a brewing storm clouded around them. A bright and brilliant explosion ricocheted, the cacophonous kaleidoscope of life flowing forth. They were wading through a pool of stars, stardust raining down on them, stardust being kicked up beneath them. With each step they felt lighter, their feet seconds away from leaving the ground. They could feel the silent heartbeat of the universe, beating in time to their own. They gradually slowed in tandem as a new star took its first breath. A deep yearning to join them overtook them. Time had been pulled into a whirlpool, twisting round and round until the beginning met the end and the end had no beginning. Nothing was happening anymore and trees were withering as they grew; reptiles shed and snakes grew; the seas reached up to the sky and stars flowed down; everything that could ever happen was breaking out at the same instant.

In the beginning, for it was the beginning, there was an egg. How many eggs were in that original void is uncertain, but there was an egg, shelled in limitless potential, and it would one day be named the Azathoth-Ubbho-Satlha. The Demiruge.

When is uncertain, for it was before time and space and matter, but once the shell shattered in the blinding light of plasma symmetric, and it was Chaos, Nu, Tiamat, it would know many names but it would always be at core The Azathoth, for it was the Primordial Chaos, The Deep Dark Sea from which all sprung, The Big Bang that tore creation the Black Tapestry.

When the Chaos of Nature Cooled, twins became of it, The Milky Mist In The Void and The Darkness Between The Stars, and with their birth, Creation became a realm threefold. At the center was chaos-born Azath, and from it came the Dark Realm of Shogg and the Material World of Shugg.

From the Mist In The Void would spawn Yog-Sothoth, who is all of Time and all of Space, who is the All Encompassing Lurker At The Threshold, for Yog-Sothoth is the Key, Yog-Sothoth is the Gate, Yog-Sothoth is the way to see the Beautiful and Horrible Truth of Creation.

From the Darkness Between The Stars, Life Mother Shub-Ningkuratlh would spawn who would birth a Thousand Young in her image.

With the spawning of the Life Mother, Chaos Changed. The Original Chaos of Nature grew, expanded, and from a fissure was born The Dream Walker, The Crawling Chaos of a Thousand Faces, Nyarlathotep, Father of the Lucid Dream-Realm of Shagg. It would walk amongst the whole creation where there was life, a more personal chaos than its originator.

From the union of the Shub-Ningkuratlh and Yog-Sothoth were born twin blasphemies, Yeb The Black Flame of Whispering Mists and their twin, Nug The Torch of the Force of Mind. Unto Yeb would become the Gaseous Stars, unto Nug would become the Planetary Spheres. Unto them would be given the power to wipe clean, the Furnace to ignite the Torches and scorch at the whim of The Chaotic Azathoth.

From Yeb would birth Tsathoggua, the Sleeping Seal of the Dark Night-Stars in N'kai.

From Nug would birth Cthulhu, Sleeping High Priest of Deep-Sunk R'lyæxh Who Is To Come And Rise Again, for his sermon is Truth, and Truth is unavoidable. The Truth of the Stars was sealed once in those ancient days, but it shall rise in full again, seeping through cracks where Wandering Nyarlathotep travels.

The Literality matters not, there need not be a shucked oyster at the center of the galaxy for there to be Chaos in Nature, and Nature in Chaos. There need not be a three legged shapeshifter for there to be Dreams and the Chaos Amongst The Crowds. There need not be a 13 Irridescent Sphered Entity for there to be time or space, and there need not be a literal giant goat-adjacent monster for there to be Life, just as there need not be for a man with attitude issues and a cool beard to give and create thunder.

The story remains true, for there is life, and they simply Are. Life Is, Time and Matter Are, Chaos in Nature Is. It Is, They Are, and that is all they need to Be.

Besides, ever notice how in Lovecraft's stories the main "heroes" are all well to do White guys and everyone associated with the Mythos itself are all disenfranchised in some way? The cultists are all either poor white guys or just anyone Not-White, and the next example that comes to mind are the Shoggoths, which are a slave race created by the Elder Things which then rose up and killed their masters. The mythos has a Legacy and Image of being horrible and calamitous, but notice that the perspective is from people so disconnected from reality that they've crafted themselves a throne of lies they're afraid of being torn down.

au where wei wuxian's and jiang cheng's disapproval of jin zixuan leads them to independently and separately disguise themselves as jiang yanli in order to spy on him and see if he's good enough for their sister. this leads to both of them having romantic moments with the eternally oblivious jin zixuan.

later on, after jiang yanli's wedding, they reveal their secret to jin zixuan as like a funny story about how stupid they were as kids. and then in private jin zixuan comes out to jiang yanli as essentially bisexual and begs her for forgiveness. she's going to kill her brothers but first she needs to comfort her husband.
