shoot I was going to prompt you but got caught up complimenting your side characters. Sorry. Anyway, would you be down for writing anything involving Kotabee? Anything where one of them has veeeery drawn out nausea. Wants to puke, but all that is coming up is burps and the other is all "maybe you won't actually vomit", but sickie Knows they'll. And when they finally do puke it doesnt help at all, nausea still there. This is very specific, so dw about filling it, I'll love anything you write!
B, you're the greatest! Thank you for being patient with me. Sorry this took so long.
CW: Graphic descriptions of vomiting!
--------------------
The festival was called Eats and Beats. It was a perfect event because Dakota came for the food and Blair for the live music. By the time that the Beats portion came around, Dakota had eaten all the Eats.
He indulged in a myriad of meats on a myriad of sticks. There were plenty of foreign beans shoved inside foreign pastries, which he shoved into his mouth. And every couple of minutes of walking it seemed like a new taco appeared in his hands.
By the time they made their way to the outdoors stage, his stomach had a new lining made of grease and fry oil. Blair carried a cup of gelato which she tried to offer to Dakota, but he miraculously managed to decline. It took a lot of will power on his part.
The sun was beginning to set now as people gathered in the grassy area where they could watch the headliner band perform. While Dakota came for the street food, Blair came for the concert. It was small band that she’d been hoping to see for a while now. When the news came that they’d be playing at the festival, she twisted Dakota’s rubber arm who had already been looking at the list of food vendors.
They chose a spot close to the stage so she could actually see the group when a bigger crowd would show up. A lesser-known group was currently playing chill music as an opening to the main event. Blair mindlessly moved her hips from side to side as she ate her frozen treat. “You sure you don’t want any?” she asked, waving her spoon at Dakota.
“No…Thank you,” Dakota replied, a little distracted. He stuck his hand under his shirt and rubbed at his full belly. His feet hurt from walking all day and it felt like he added ten pounds to his body simply by eating everything they passed. It all had smelt so good! And it all had an equally excellent taste to match.
But now his insides felt like a deep fryer with their own bubbling contents. His poor body was having a rough go at digesting everything he ate. It made him sleepy and nauseous. And burpy.
At the first touch of his stomach, he immediately let out a deep belch. The taste of beer came back to his tongue and made him grimace. The burp did nothing to alleviate his fullness. It only made room for the other food to churn and mix heavily. To summarize, his stomach was a bubbly, gurgly mess.
Feeling tired and heavy, he decided that standing was overrated. He lowered himself to the grass and sunk even lower by laying on his back. He spread his legs out and rested his hands on his upset stomach. Then came a heavy sigh as the sloshing contents in his belly came to a rest.
Blair looked down to find her fiancé sprawled out on the ground. His eyes were closed, and he was breathing heavily. She kicked his foot as if he were dead. “Fishy, wake up! Why are you sleeping?”
Dakota kept his eyes shut but smiled at her silly voice. Sadly, quoting childhood movies was not enough to distract him from the war in his stomach. “I ate way too much. Standing is no longer an option for me. You’ll have to take me back to the car in a wheelbarrow.”
Blair licked her spoon clean and sat down next to him with her legs crossed. She put her hand on top of his, intending to say something funny again but his stomach let out a sickly whine before she could.
Dakota groaned and lifted himself onto his elbows. As he forced himself into a sitting position, a wet burp bubbled up from his throat. He definitely felt something hit the back of his tongue, forcing him to swallow whatever it was.
“Damn babe,” Blair said with genuine surprise in her voice. She hadn’t realized how serious he was being. “That sounded bad. Like ‘shit I’m gonna be sick’ bad.”
For some reason, Dakota winced. It might have been because his nausea spiked or because Blair wasn’t far from the truth. Regardless, he used all his will power to stand. “I think you’re right.”
“Wait, for real?” She bolted up as well and put her hand on his arm. “Are you going to throw up?”
Another belch erupted from his mouth just then. The burp disturbed his whole stomach, bringing his nausea higher if possible. For a second, he stood very still. Blair waited to see if he was going to spew right in front of the stage. Then he moved his hand away from his mouth and shook his head. “I need to get away from all these people.”
And he started walking away, so Blair followed.
The festival was held on the waterfront. Dakota aimlessly wandered, as if drunk, to the pier that overlooked the lake. His only goal was to find someplace less crowded. He was moving toward the end of the boardwalk where his only other option would be to jump in the water, but he didn’t need to do that because there was no one at the end of it.
Dakota groaned and rested his arms on the wooden railing. He felt Blair’s hand on his back as he spat into the grey water below. “Ugh why did I eat so much?”
“Well, it’s basically an obligation here,” Blair said.
The evening air was still. There was only a slight breeze that blew their hair in their faces. Compared to the relatively calm waters, Dakota’s stomach was a stormy sea. He swallowed thickly before letting out a meaty burp. His stomach rippled beneath his hand. “I feel so sick, Bee. I can feel it all churning in my stomach.”
“Doesn’t sound very fun, babe. You might have to wait until your belly settles.”
Dakota shook his head but didn’t say anything in reply. It didn’t seem likely that his insides would settle down anytime soon. The contents of his stomach were sloshing around in acid with zero intentions of stopping. He kept his mouth open, waiting for another sick burp to come up. As if the lake were a toilet, he was hovering over it, prepared to be sick.
In the distance, voices boomed over a crowd as the opening band left the stage. The new arrivals introduced themselves which sparked a loud stretch of clapping and cheering. Blair looked back at where they came from, certain that the front row was filled up now. She looked back at Dakota who looked as nauseous as ever. She didn’t say anything.
Finally, Dakota let out the burp that he felt building in his chest. It was deep and tasted like terrible decisions. He kept his mouth open even when the air was free from his belly. Saliva dripped off his lips before he spat over the edge. “Fuck, I hate this. Why won’t it come up?”
Blair could tell that Dakota was getting frustrated with the lack of results. She knew that he was just waiting to throw up. As the band started to play a song, she began feeling a little impatient herself.
She moved Dakota’s windswept out of his face. “Maybe you won’t actually vomit, Kota. Do you want wait it out near the stage?”
Dakota grimaced while shaking his head. “No, I know I’m going to be sick. I can feel it.” And besides, he wanted to say, the loud music and the crowd would make him feel worse. The music was annoyingly loud and—
His thoughts about how bad he was feeling came to an abrupt stop. For the first time in a while, he looked away from water and towards Blair. “Oh Bee. God, I wasn’t even thinking. You wanted to see this band.”
Blair looked at her shoes. “It’s not that important.”
Another belch filled Dakota’s cheeks before he could reply. He ignored the taste that it left in his mouth. “Yes, it is. You should go. I’ll be fine.”
She gave him a disbelieving look. “I can hear how upset your stomach is from here. You’re not fine.”
His stomach agreed with Blair by giving a loud gurgle. It forced him to put a hand on his aching belly and wince. “Okay, I’m not fine, but you don’t need to stay.”
“Kota.”
“Seriously. I’ll probably feel better after I puke anyway.”
Blair was about to conceded when a thick burp caught Dakota by surprise. It must have come deep within his belly because it made him double over and put his hand over his mouth. Blair could hear the turmoil in his gut as he lurched forward with a gag.
After waiting so long, Dakota could not stop the vomit from rushing up his throat, and he didn’t want to. He moved his hand away from his mouth, letting the thick brown sick splatter on the boardwalk. The viscous mess started to drip between the wooden planks while Dakota panted over the pile he just made.
He coughed up a glob of saliva and said, “Of course it happens now.” Then a similar nauseated expression came over his face again. He moaned in discomfort and prepared for the next wave.
Blair was going to grab his arm and lead him back to the side of the pier, but what was the point? Partially digested tacos and churros were already spewed across the walkway. Instead, she stood behind him and rubbed his back as he belched up the remnants of a day full of delicious tastes. Sadly, Dakota was no longer thinking about how good all the food had been. He was only thinking of how awful it was coming back up.
A harsh retch scratched at his throat as another torrent of chunky sick fell past his lips.
Blair rubbed big circles on his back and gave an occasional emphatic pat. “Get it all up, baby. Just keep going and take your time.”
With his hands on his knees and saliva glistening on his lips, he breathed heavily. “Oh, my belly. It’s so full.”
“I know, Kota. You’ll feel better when it’s out.”
Dakota hoped she was right. He burped wetly before feeling his stomach spasm again. The perfect receptable was right there, but he continued to heave the contents of his stomach onto the pier. He couldn’t care at this point. He could scarcely do anything but suffer at the whims of his body.
The puddle of sick was impressive and disturbing by the time Dakota finished actively throwing up. Sweat was drying on his nose and forehead as he tried to catch his breath.
“Wow, honey,” Blair said as Dakota swayed to the edge of the pier. “You gotta feel better after that. I mean, that was inspiring. Good job.”
Blair frowned at the silence that followed. She expected Dakota to say something. Usually, he would announce that he felt ten times better. He didn’t do that. He simply rested his head on the railing and moaned.
She approached him, putting her hand on his shoulder. “Dakota? What is it?”
He opened his mouth, but not to reply. This time he did vomit over the side of the railing. It was a much smaller gush that made him moan, nonetheless. “Ugh…I’m sorry. I still feel sick.”
“Throwing up didn’t help at all?”
He shrugged. “Maybe a little. But I really…don’t want to be here anymore.”
“Oh.”
“I’m sorry. I want to let you stay, but I just feel—”
“It’s okay, Kota. It’s more than okay.” She kissed his shoulder. “We’ll leave as soon as you’re ready.”
“You sure?”
Blair looked at him as if he were insane. “You think I’d make you stick around for a concert? No, I’m taking you home.”
"Will you be annoyed if I complain about my stomach the whole way back?"
She shook her head with a smile. "If I say 'yes' will it make a difference?"
"Probably not."

Oh yeah since I'm like much more public about Marionette kinning I wanna explain a quick thing about Evelyn's ability to turn into the puppet (which was demonstrated in this post) and how the Marionette is not only Evelyn but also a mom to her. No spoilers dw this is just Evie backstory (ofc though it's me rambling so get ready to read lol).
Tldr: She's basically in the same situation Steven Universe is in lmao
So a long long time ago, Evelyn actually worked for the FNAF 2 location! She was desperate to get away from family so she begged for a job there, even saying she'd take pay underneath minimum wage. They took her on as a night time janitor, since at the time they didn't need nor want a security guard. During one of her cleaning shifts, she ran into a beakless Chica and after a small fright, she fixes up her beak (as she also had college degree in robotics or whatever it is my brain isn't working lol). She quickly learns about the robots being alive and ends up befriending all of them, including the withereds and the Marionette. The puppet became a sort of mother figure for Evie, and the other bots became her family. They all still had child souls inside them, but they usually stayed dormant and the robots were able to be themselves (important I promise).
However during a particular night shift, an "accident" happened while Evie was restocking the prize counter plushies and was found murdered. Her death was swept under the rug and hidden, which was considerably easy given that she was close to no one. It angered her soul, and she ended up tethering her soul to the Puppet's. She's unable to do anything with their "body" besides rest inside it, but they sometimes would pop out in a spirit form that mimicked her real life human appearance, the only difference being her left eye and the tears it produced (that eye would cry purple tears instead of the normal color).
After Pizzeria sim, the Puppet's original soul (Charlotte) and herself were sent free, as they were intended to be freed by the fire. Evelyn however, still held onto the body, and thus then became the soul owner of it. Funnily enough she was almost sent to jail since Fazbear Entertainment thought she was the cause for the fire and wanted "justice" (money). She was first sent to the hospital for any wounds however (she was found in her spirit form), and was able to escape and basically was on the run. How she got to the Pizza Plex is another story however, one I'll save for later
But yeah that's it. Like I said before she's basically in the same situation as Steven Universe, technically being and not being their moms.

impaling
prompt: impaling
whumpee: will riker
fandom: star trek tng
hi folks it’s me here with another whumpee with like three other fans! if you’re one of them hi hi hi it’s been a hot second since i’ve written riker but i will always love to hurt him :) i hope you like this fic!
Several members of the Engineering division had been working on an experiment for a few days now. Riker had figured it was about time that he checked it out, if only to have something to say to Data during their shift when he inevitably brought up Geordi’s involvement.
It was a weird-looking thing. Various lengths of thin metal rods stuck out from a wall in one of the lab rooms. Strings of something were looped around the rods, with some kind of glowing material traveling along them. Riker stepped closer, touching one of the strings. A jolt of electricity zapped his fingers, and he pulled them away in surprise. He made up his mind to not touch anything else, and turned around to comm Geordi and ask him what all this was.
Just then, the ship jolted sharply, like it’d been hit, and he went stumbling backwards, slamming into one of the metal rods.
The rod caused only a minor ache in his back, so he stepped forward, intending to rush to the Bridge and see what was going on. But the second he moved his foot, something was...pulling? on his shoulder, effectively trapping him to the wall. He reached up with his left hand to hit his communicator, and suddenly his shoulder exploded into pain.
He turned his head to look at it, then immediately wished he hadn’t. It had barely hurt before he’d looked.
The metal rod was sticking clean through his left shoulder, its tip gleaming red with blood, which he could see steadily dripping down his shirt, darkening its red color.
It hurt. His shoulder felt like it was burning, a white-hot pain that made him wish he’d passed out. He could feel the blood dripping down his back as well as his front, sticky and warm and altogether an extremely discomforting situation. He made a soft noise of pain that could have generously been called a wince.
Who the hell gets impaled on a starship? he wondered briefly, and half-grinned to himself at the absurdity of the situation. It was better than crying about it, anyway.
“Commander Riker, report.”
He groaned. I want to report, he thought at Captain Picard’s voice, but certain circumstances have made that impossible. His left arm refused to move, and he worried that moving his right would only twist the metal inside of him and make everything worse. He hoped that his silence would serve as a good enough cry for help.
“Commander Riker. Report.” The Captain’s voice was straddling the line between angry and worried. “Commander.”
The room fell silent as Picard stopped talking, leaving only the unsettling sound of his own blood steadily dripping onto the floor. Riker hoped the silence meant that someone was coming to get him.
Moments later, the door to the lab slid open. Riker glanced to it, relieved when he saw the familiar shape of Captain Picard.
“Captain,” he said, in a voice much weaker than he’d ever admit to using. He’d never been so glad to see anyone in his life.
“Will,” said Picard, reaching for his combadge. “Picard to Crusher.”
“Dr. Crusher here.”
“I’m with Commander Riker in Lab Four. He’s been impaled on a metal rod.”
There was a brief moment of silence. “Impaled?”
“Yes. You may want to come down here, he’s lost quite a bit of blood already. I don’t know that moving him is the thing to do.”
“On my way.”
“Y’r....not gonna move me?” Riker asked. He didn’t like the sound of that. How was he supposed to get help if he couldn’t move? Was he dying?
Picard, evidently sensing his fear, quickly said, “We will move you. Dr. Crusher simply needs to figure out how.”
“Okay.” That sounded better than dying, anyway.
Dr, Crusher herself arrived a couple seconds later, hurrying over with a variety of medical supplies in her arms and a look of worry on her face.
“How did this happen?” she asked gently, checking his vitals.
Suddenly, he recalled the ship’s sudden movement, and a jolt of worry went through him. What had happened? Had they been hit?
“Wh’ happened? Ship moved.”
“We brushed against the edge of a geomagnetic storm. I suppose you were unlucky enough to be standing in front of this contraption at the time,” said Picard, looking warily at said contraption.
Riker nodded slightly. “Fell back on ‘t. Didn’t even feel it at first. Then I looked.”
Dr. Crusher made a noise of sympathy from where she was inspecting the wound. She poked around it for a few seconds and pressed something to it (which hurt, despite his best efforts to appear to the other two that it hadn’t). “We need to cut this metal away from the wall,” she decided.
“Why?” Riker asked, as Picard went to get the necessary tool.
“I don’t want to take you off of this rod, not yet. We’ll keep it in you until we get you to Sickbay, and then I’ll remove it.”
That sounded like a suitable plan, he decided. Sickbay sounded like the best place in the universe to him at the moment.
Picard returned with some cutters just as Dr. Crusher was saying, “Will, you’re going to have to stay awake for this.”
He nodded. He didn’t particularly like that fact, but he understood well enough that if he were knocked out, he’d slump over and probably only make his injury worse. Granted, he wouldn’t be awake to feel it…
The actual cutting of the metal took only a second, but as soon the piece inside him was disconnected from the wall, he almost collapsed to the ground, crying out in pain as the movement jostled the metal rod. He would have completely collapsed, had Picard not caught him. Apparently his legs hadn’t been holding his body up so much as the metal had been forcing him to stand.
An arm wrapped around his right shoulder, taking on his weight, and a hand grabbed his left hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.
“Dr. Crusher to Transporter Room Two. Three to beam directly to Sickbay.”
The second they arrived, people were rushing up to them with all manner of supplies, and they sat him down on a table, and suddenly the metal rod was being pulled out of him, excruciatingly slowly and painfully, and quite a bit of blood went along with it, and he wondered whether or not that was supposed to happen, and then finally he felt the prick of a hypo, and finally the pain stopped.
aaa thank u for reading this!!! dw he is fine i just get tired of writing hospital waking up scenes lmao.

The Other Side of Me - Chapter 1
Darkwing Duck Fanfiction (90s Series)
The Negaverse Launchpad arrives in Saint Canard and announces his intention to take down Darkwing Duck in preparation for Negaduck’s arrival. Darkwing refuses to take the threat seriously, so Launchpad decides to take on his stronger, crazier, and downright dangerous counterpart himself.
***
“I’m not sure about this one, boss. I’ll do whatever you tell me. But that portal looks… dangerous.”
“Aw, don’t tell me the big bad Launchpad is going to be a pussy about a harmless little portal?”
“I’m no pussy!”
“Then get your butt down there!” Negaduck slammed a fist into the big brute’s shoulder.
Launchpad did not so much as flinch. A frown creased his stubbled beak as he stared into the portal that swirled about their feet.
Sometimes it took a few seconds for his orders to sink through that beefy skull. Negaduck was not keen on waiting for his minion’s neurons to fire. But this would be easier if his guinea pig was cooperative. “Listen, LP,” said Negaduck as he stretched an arm around his companion’s broad shoulders, “I need someone over in that other Saint Canard I can trust. A scout to take care of Darkwing Duck and pave the way for my glorious reign.”
A grin slowly spread across that big, dumb face. “Yeah, I can do that boss.”
“Then listen carefully. And I’ll try and keep it simple, stupid. Everything over there is the opposite. There’s an alternate you over there too. If those nerds at the university rigged this thing up properly, this portal will dump you out within a mile of him. If everything goes to plan, I’ll have access to Darkwing’s world again.”
“Hey, wait. Is this one of those things where you want me to replace my double? I’m a heavy, man. You need to use me to smash some skulls!” Launchpad pounded a fist into his open palm.
Negaduck snorted and rolled his eyes. “You’re kidding me. You’d need a shave. And to learn some table manners. No, smash in as many skulls as you see fit. Take out some of Darkwing’s allies. Find out where his lair is. I don’t care. I’m giving you your head… if you know what to do with it.”
“Huh?”
Negaduck grabbed Launchpad by the collar and dragged him down so they were beak to beak. “I’m tired of your screw ups and having to explain everything half a dozen times. You get over there, and you prove to me you’re worth keeping around. Got it, big guy?”
Launchpad glared back at him, but Negaduck did not miss the other man’s adam’s apple bob up and down as he gulped. “Got it, boss.” He squared his shoulders and moved back over to the portal.
Negaduck grinned. He didn’t care what Launchpad did once, and if, he arrived in Darkwing’s Saint Canard. He needed this idiot for one thing and one thing only.
“Still looks a little rough down there.” Launchpad grumbled as he craned his neck out over the edge. “But maybe it’s not really so dangerous.”
“Only one way to find out.” Negaduck put a foot square into Launchpad’s backside. The big brute pinwheeled his arms and then toppled into the maelstrom.
Which immediately exploded into a green black geyser that splattered and hissed across the ceiling.
Negaduck dropped to the floor and pulled his hat down over his eyes. The air heated to a barely tolerable level.  A rush of wind whipped and howled past him. Then with a crash and a whoosh the gale turned back on itself and rushed back towards the portal. A chair skittered across the floor beside him, caught in the vacuum.
Then the portal shut down with a very final sounding whoomph.
Negaduck cautiously peeked out from under his hat. The ceiling had been blasted black, as had the floor. The chair sat where the portal had been, blackened, and cleaved clean in two. The smell of burnt wood and feathers lingered in the air.
Negaduck whistled through his teeth as he stood to his feet. “Oh yeah, that duck is D.E.A-dead.” He put his hands on his hips and stared at his failed experiment. Then he shrugged. “Guess it’s back to the drawing board.”
***
Launchpad dusted dying embers from the feathers on his forearms and hauled himself to his feet. The world tilted. “Stop it!” he demanded with a slur. The portal ride had been hectic, like being inside a green and black tumble dryer that was doing its best to catch on fire. But he wasn’t going to moan about it. He’d walk it off.
Sure enough, the world settled around him. The cracked bitumen at his feet was littered with garbage. Dingy, spray-painted walls hemmed him in. For a moment, Launchpad thought the alley he found himself in was back in the Negaverse. But the sky above was a bright, clear blue, and the sound of birdsong reached him. The alleyway opened to a parking lot. Across the road was a park, which was actually green. There were children playing, and giggling. Launchpad repressed a shudder. “Yuck. What a hell hole.”
And then an eerily familiar voice reached his ears. “Okay, so we need to get eggs, milk, de… er, or is that an o? I have got to stop Drake writing on my shopping list.”
Next to a garish blue sedan stood… Launchpad.
Launchpad blinked and rubbed at his eyes. “What the heck is he even wearing.”
His double scratched at the aviator’s cap perched on his head, then shrugged. “Hey, if I make soup, he’s not going to know what’s in it anyway.” Then, belting out a whistling tune that made Launchpad cringe, he strolled into the grocery store.
Launchpad rolled his shoulders. “Alright, then. Well, he is supposed to be Darkwing’s sidekick. Maybe this whole thing is just a cover. And I can’t fail Negaduck again…” Launchpad bit his lip. But no. Negaduck would not follow him in a hurry. He had most certainly pushed him through to check the safety of the portal. That ride had been anything but safe, and Negaduck was too much of a coward to come through right away until he was sure it was.
Which meant he had some time up his sleeve. “Guess I’ve got some work to do, but…” Launchpad rubbed his hands together as his gaze narrowed on the blue sedan. “Doesn’t mean I can’t have a little fun whilst I’m at it.”
***
Launchpad searched the aisles of the grocery store for what he’d eventually determined was ‘deodorant.’ He snatched a spray can off a shelf and grinned in triumph. “Got ya. But you are definitely not going in the soup. Heheh.”
Crime had taken a bit of a dip the last half of the week. It meant he could get on top of the groceries. Maybe get some meals into the freezer. When there were two men who spent half the night tearing around Saint Canard chasing baddies, and one growing kid who could consume an entire stack of pancakes and then ask if she was going to get bacon and eggs with that, in the house, it paid to have something stashed that was easy to make and better than toast. Launchpad’s freezer meals always seemed to last forever. Although, sometimes Launchpad thought that was because DW preferred the toast.
He ended up getting a bit more food than he had originally intended. “Are you sure you can carry all of those?” the register attendant asked him.
“No problemo.” Launchpad hefted the two overstuffed grocery bags to his chest. He grinned out through a bunch of celery leaves and winked.
The attendant slowly raised her eyebrow. “Have a good day, sir.”
Launchpad weaved his way across the parking lot. Lifting the haul was the easy part. But the grocery bags were so overstuffed he could barely see where he was going. “Not the first time I’ve been flying blind.” Every time he caught sight of the blue sedan through the celery, he course corrected.
“Ow!” Launchpad grumbled as his shin collected the tail gate. “There she is.” He had to boot the car twice before his foot found the tail gate catch, and then he dumped the groceries in back.
He threw himself into the driver’s seat, tore into reverse, then scraped the undercarriage on the gutter out of the parking lot. Someone honked. “Sorry, I got to get home to make soup!”
Launchpad tapped the steering wheel, hummed to himself, and glanced in the rear-view mirror. “Huh? I thought I shaved this morning. Wait…”
Launchpad spluttered as his scarf tightened about his throat. Warm breath blew down his neck. “Keep driving. And no funny business.”
“Air…” His scarf loosened just a little.
“Take us off the highway.” There was something familiar about that voice. “Pull into a sidestreet.”
Yeah. Right. Launchpad pulled into a slip lane off the highway as he’d been instructed. “So, you wearing a seatbelt?”
“I don’t need no pussy seatbelt…”
As the slip lane dipped down, Launchpad gunned it. The incline was just enough to get a bit of power out of the four-cylinder engine. His assailant yelped, and there was a heavy thud as his he slammed into the roof.
Launchpad gagged as his air cut off completely. He struggled, one hand wresting the steering wheel back and forth to keep them on course, the other grappling with the material now looped tightly about his throat. He slammed on the brakes. He had previously determined the trajectory of any loose items in the sedan on more than one occasion. He ducked. Tins and bottles took flight. Some thudded into the man in the back, eliciting more grunts and curses. The rest bounced harmlessly off the windshield.
Launchpad got out and, teeth gritted, hauled the man in his rear seat out by the collar. “Next time pick on someone your own size!”
The guy slammed balled up fists on Launchpad’s arms and broke his grip. “That was the idea.”
Launchpad took a step back and put up his guard. Both men froze, facing each other in a fighting stance.
Launchpad’s fists loosened. “You… You look just like me…”
“What the hell was that?” His mirror image barked. “You trying to kill us both?”
“Mom and Dad never said anything about me having a twin.”
The man that looked like him straightened his disheveled jacket collar with a quick tug. “Okay. That was actually a half decent move. Maybe you’re not as domesticated as I first thought.”
“Who are you?” Launchpad demanded.
“Is that stupid cap cutting off circulation to your brain? I’m you, genius.”
The gears in Launchpad’s head grated over. “The Negaverse. DW told me… you work for Negaduck.”
“There you go. Heh. Guess I’m not as stupid as everyone keeps telling me.”
“What are you doing in Saint Canard? I mean, our Saint Canard.”
The other Launchpad flicked a celery leaf from his shoulder. “Not the groceries.”
“Okay, okay… I’m talking to another me. Perfectly normal. So, you work for Negaduck. But that doesn’t mean you’re a bad guy, right? I mean, you’re me… Heheh.” Launchpad tugged at his scarf.
His double dragged him towards him, so they were pressed beak to beak. “Why are you giggling?”
“I am very uncomfortable right now.”
Launchpad released him with a snort. “Great. That’s his bloody laugh. I’m glad we’re supposed to be opposites. But you listen up, pal. You’re going to be more than uncomfortable when Negaduck gets here.”
“Negaduck’s back?” Talking to himself was weird as. But he had to pull it together and focus. Launchpad jabbed a finger into his double’s chest. “I’m not going to let him hurt DW!”
Launchpad grinned. “There’s the guy who nearly sent me through his windshield. Relax, Negaduck isn’t here. Yet. He sent me, his top man, through ahead of him. So, you’re not going to have to worry about him hurting your ‘DW’. Because by the time he gets here, this Launchpad will have put Darkwing Duck at the bottom of Audubon Bay.”
Launchpad threw a punch.
His double shielded his chin with broad forearms, then clapped Launchpad in the side of the head with a right hook that sent him sprawling across the bonnet of the sedan. “Negaduck will be awhile,” he said, as he backed away. “So, in the meantime we’re going to play a little game. I’m coming for Darkwing Duck. Let’s see if his sidekick who I’ve heard so much about can stop me.”
Launchpad hauled himself upright, hands balled into first. But his head still spun. By the time the world settled enough he could stand without toppling over, the doppelganger had disappeared.
“Launchpad!” It would’ve been amusing, screaming his own name. Had his heart not been hammering in his chest. His double had gone. But he had been no figment of his imagination. “I’ve got to warn DW.”
Tins and bottles clattered across the pavement as Launchpad dove back into the sedan and raced towards home.
***
Authors note: So that’s the first chapter. I’ve been (re)watching Darkwing Duck on Disney Plus. Forgot how good it was. And so, now I’m writing fanfiction. This is set somewhere just after that episode where Darkwing goes to the Negaverse (Life, the Negaverse, and Everything). Basically I just wanted to get the two Launchpad’s together in the same universe and see what happens.
I’ve already started posting this on fanfiction.net, but wasn’t seeing much action over there. But seeing as I’m booting back up the tumblr, its coming over here now. I’ll post the other chapters soon.

One at a time with those 10 pictures!
Again spring cleaning and the intended Servant to raise... Bedi is finally at his third ascension! :D Though that’s because before I even did the omake chapter, it warned my Servant’s archive is full again. Hence, I needed to do cleaning for it. But, also kind of reluctant because that I’m also broke on knight’s medal which was intended to raise MHXX skill. Now, here’s hoping Oniland got some Oni knights to whack at.
I started new without a doubt that I even skip the first bond CE and this Chaldea Lunchtime CE... So, it’s a good deal to get from rare prism after burning Fionn (which he’s become the meme of the dude that turned to trash 1 year later comparision, but why I burned is story of another day). Plus, AUOFes’s lottery spamming and saving up whatever mana prism DW offered led to this. So hey, if anyone that can’t get Chaldea Lunchtime MLB, there’s always Rare prism that unfortunately costs you burning ONE non-welfare Servant to do it. *stares at my own NA Servant* However, it’s at least permanent the moment you bought it from rare prism, until you bought all 5 CE to MLB it.
........... I kept fretting back and forth on wondering why the fuck am I missing out Mecha Eli-chan’s final ascension piece... Until I realized one of the last 4 quests that I’ve yet to done was to destroy number of Mecha Eli-chan clones...... And I panic over that because FGOWiki never updated of the certain mission of ascension material specific... Anyway! She’s completed in both stats and level with skills as usual will be another long while to touch on ==;
The CQ!
............ I’ll never do another solo like I did with Waver against Kiritsugu unless I’m crazy enough for a fucking round 3
Team went with Tamamo and Cu as main DPS, Leonidas, George and Mash as taunter + tankers, Sheba/Quetz for different reasons
Started with going Sheba inside... Things were going well as usual from the pic of the CQ
Until again I fucked shit up, or RNG hates me, or DW knows the joke character in this... Tamamo dies before she even fires her NP
Then I somehow survived for a while until at his final HP bar, and seeing Cu’s HP... I withdraw. I was damn close to defeat James and well... There’s Gotterdamung lostbelt, so nope, I refused!
Tumblr media
Along that processes involved bring Quetz just because her own second skill is able to give guts to survive.
And yes, FINALLY! After that amount tries later (actually 4 or 5 but I lost count because it’s damn annoying >.>), I finally defeated James, Tamamo was able to survive long enough and leave everything to doggo! That satisfaction on his solo crits kiling James... I’ve never been more happier that this damn SUBARASHII Mastermind is dead!
Things I noticed:
James never once used his first skill at all, his own pierce invincibility. I was kinda wary so I totally drop the idea of bringing Merlin or Skadi to kill him.
But, still doesn’t change his fight requires guts because mecha clones are annoying when you got 101 of them
Please DO kill mecha Eli clones when you need, I refuse to touch any of them after the first round... And I’ve got a Berserker mecha clone that constantly kills Tamamo (because DW realize she’s going to be often use against James)
Speaking of her, yes, she’s the most recommended Servant to deal with him. Only problem, if he does activate Invincibility pierce skill, her third skill will be unfavorable to her since she has her own demerit of being stun for one turn.
Alternatively, bring Cu aka best doggo since he’s able to survive long enough to GAE BOLG into his ass for the budget Lancer team if you don’t have her in your roster or in your support list.
.... You can still solo fight with your favorite Servant, it’s possible since the fight only ends with James dead. But with my fight at him from this? I think I watched enough Honako Green’s solo fight to get my ass handed by own strategy.
And speaking of solo, ST NP Servants are more recommended in here since mecha clones are class variant. Or, if you have good AOE Berserker as alternative, there’s that to go with to clean them up along with James.
Taunters are without a doubt recommended against James and his mecha clones. Since among the mecha clones, there’s a Saber class clone that will or not wipe your main DPS Lancer quickly if you don’t kill them fast. So bring taunters, 1 Archer Servant to deal with them specifically, or AOE wipe ASAP.
Since James often recharge his defense buff twice on his gauge break, you can bring Medea or anyone with buff remover to remove it.
Crystalized lore, received! Back to casual grinding or actually the continuation of Lostbelt adventure tomorrow since my weekend is here at last.

Souyo Nov Writing Challenge (prompt list)
Day 12: Holding Hands
Links
AO3
ffnet
DW
Souji won't let go of Yosuke's hand.
[spoilers for P4′s true ending below!]
Yosuke waited after school at the Yaso-Inaba station. Tomorrow was the first day of Golden Week, and Souji was returning to Inaba this evening for the short holiday. He'd only been away for about a month and a half, but to Yosuke it'd felt like twice as long. He really missed his boyfriend.
He waited alone—he'd planned it that way. He wanted to be the first to see Souji. Maybe it was a little selfish, but everyone would see him tomorrow. Yosuke reasoned that he should get some time alone with Souji since they were dating and all.
After a long wait, a boarding announcement blared out over the speakers. Yosuke blinked up from where he'd been messing with his phone to find the train pulling up. The doors opened and a single passenger came out. Souji was wearing his casual winter clothes, the one with the black jacket. He carried a duffel bag under his arm, probably full of his clothes for the holiday. He looked around and his expression brightened when he saw Yosuke waiting for him.
Yosuke wasted no time in pulling him into a big hug.
Souji hummed softly against his shoulder. "Missed you," he said.
"Yeah, I missed you too," Yosuke said, patting him on the back in the hug.
When they separated, Yosuke found that Souji had taken hold of his right hand with his left. He felt Souji's playfully thumb caress the side of his hand. Souji's hand was softer than he remembered, with fewer callouses now that they weren't fighting in the TV World. Some of those scars would always be there, though.
"What do you want to do?" Souji asked, squeezing his hand.
"Well, we should probably drop your bag off at Dojima's, right?"
Souji shrugged. Yosuke felt it all the way through his arm since their hands were linked. "I can carry it. Maybe we can go eat?"
They headed to Aiya's, for although the big city had plenty of ramen joints, none of them had a meat generator. Souji sat on a stool at the bar. He didn't let go of Yosuke's hand, though, so Yosuke was forced to sit at his left. Yosuke didn't mind. It was reassuring, having him there in his hand, knowing that Souji wanted to touch him. The distance had been hard on both of them, after all.
You were supposed to use chopsticks in your right hand, though. When the bowls of steaming ramen arrived, he tried to pull his hand back, but Souji wouldn't let go. "Uh, partner?"
"Yeah?"
Yosuke tugged his hand. "Can you let go so I can eat?"
Souji glanced down at their hands. "Oh," he said, as if the idea didn't appeal to him at all. There was a long pause. Then his expression suddenly brightened. "Maybe I can feed you?"
"Uhh..." Yosuke began, but Souji was already bringing his free hand over and sticking his chopsticks into Yosuke's ramen bowl. It was a little embarrassing—Yosuke caught Aika-chan raising an eyebrow at him behind the bar—but he couldn't refuse his boyfriend.
"Do you want the tofu?" Souji asked.
"You already know the answer to that," Yosuke said. With an impish little smile, Souji grabbed Yosuke's tofu in the chopsticks and ate it himself.
"How about the egg?"
"I'll take that," Yosuke said, and soon Souji told him to open wide and half of a boiled egg was coming right for his mouth.
Eating the noodles required some coordination. Souji had to hold up the noodles and Yosuke had to angle his mouth just right for him to get them in. The ramen juice ended up running down his chin. Souji dabbed his chin with a napkin, which was even more embarrassing, but Yosuke reasoned it was a small price to pay to keep Souji happy.
At one point, Souji put the empty tips of the chopsticks right in Yosuke's mouth, pressing them against his tongue. Puzzled, Yosuke tried to say something, but then Souji leaned in for a surprise kiss.
"S-Souji!" Yosuke protested. Behind the bar, Aika-chan was raising her other eyebrow at him.
"Missed you," Souji said.
Yosuke mumbled something incoherent, his cheeks pinker than the spirals in the naruto.
As usual, neither of them could finish their meat-heavy meal. "I'll pay," Yosuke said, but when he made to pull his hand towards the pocket with his wallet, still Souji refused to let go.
Instead, Souji shook his head and took out his own wallet. "It's all right."
Yosuke decided not to fight it. Besides, it was really amusing to see him try and get his money out of his wallet with one hand.
"Is this some sort of challenge?" Yosuke asked when they left the shop.
"Hmm?"
"This," Yosuke said. He tugged on their interlocked hands.
"Oh," Souji said. "I just want to hold your hand. Is that a problem?"
When he put it that way, of course Yosuke couldn't refuse. With a mental shrug he just left it at that. Hand in hand, they walked down the shopping district, talking about whatever came to mind. After a bit, Yosuke figured that it had to be tiring for Souji to carry the duffel bag over his other arm, so he suggested they head to the Dojima residence.
When they arrived, Souji rang the doorbell. Nanako answered. "Big bro!" she squealed. She tackled him in a hug, not unlike Yosuke at the train station. Yosuke patted her on the head with his free hand since Souji couldn't.
Inside, Souji dropped the duffel bag right there in the entryway. Yosuke gave him an odd look, but supposed he could bring it upstairs to his room later. He and Souji slipped off their shoes, though it felt really weird not to have his hand free to steady himself. He leaned against Souji instead.
They followed Nanako into the living room, where they sat at the low table. She excitedly told Souji about everything he'd missed since he'd left. It was absolutely adorable to see how intently Souji listened to her. He was such a good big bro.
"And the big cat outside is a mommy now!" Nanako said. "Dad won't let me have a kitty, but... Don't tell him that I give the mommy cat milk every morning!"
"I'm sure she thanks you, Nanako," Souji said. "And her kittens too."
"Did you name any of the kittens, Nanako-chan?" Yosuke asked.
Nanako looked away, blushing. "W-well, there's... Princess, and Kitty-chan, and Blackie..."
"I think Dojima-san is going to have a problem," Yosuke said, nudging Souji. "She adopted them anyway."
"Good job, Nanako," Souji said, completely serious.
She beamed up at him with the force of several suns. If she used that grin on her dad, Yosuke thought, there was no way he could refuse her anything. And definitely not a pet!
They talked about a bunch of other things after that. Nanako's classmates, one of her school projects, the family plans for Golden Week...
Eventually, she asked, "Big bro?" in a subdued voice.
"Hmm?" Souji asked. "What's the matter?"
"You really like him, huh?" Nanako was pointing to their hands. "You haven't let go all this time."
Souji looked down at their hands as if seeing them for the first time. He lifted them up and appraised them. "I guess so," he said, giving Yosuke a somewhat sad smile.
"You missed him..." Nanako said. "Big bro, that's cute!"
"N-Nanako-chan!" Embarrassed, Yosuke reflexively tried to pull his hand away. Souji didn't let go, and as a result he was pulled right into him. Souji pretended that he intended that and took the opportunity to settle into his lap. "S-Souji!" Yosuke scolded.
"That's even more cute," Nanako said, blushing about as deeply as Yosuke.
"Imagine if Dojima-san came in right now," Yosuke said. "what would he think?"
"That we should be in my room for this," Souji murmured so that only Yosuke could hear. "Nanako-chan," he said aloud, "is it all right if we go upstairs for a bit? I have to unpack."
She nodded at them. Souji dragged Yosuke to the entryway, where Souji awkwardly picked up the duffel bag in his free hand, and then tugged him upstairs and into his room. He dropped the bag unceremoniously onto his work table and sat on the couch, pulling Yosuke down next to him.
They sat there for a bit, enjoying a quiet moment with each other's company. It was obvious to Yosuke that Souji needed some time to process the fact that he was back home in Inaba, even if only for a few days.
By now, though, Yosuke's hand was sweaty and cramped from being held so long. It wasn't comfortable at all for him anymore, and he suspected it wasn't much better for Souji. Besides that, his leg was starting to bounce. Something urgent was demanding his attention. "Hey, uh, partner?" he asked, breaking the quiet.
Souji blinked out of his daydream. "Yosuke?"
"Could you let go? Sorry, I've really gotta go."
Souji glanced down at their hands. He didn't let go, and his expression could only be described as reluctant. He met Yosuke's eyes with a desperate look. "Maybe I could…" he began.
"Look," Yosuke said frankly, "I know we're a couple, but I don't really need you to hold my hand when I take a leak."
"S-sorry," Souji said. "You're right."
He let go of Yosuke's hand then. Yosuke took it back and rubbed it. Souji hadn't held it too tightly or anything, but it was a little red just from the constant pressure on it. It was nice for it to finally breathe. "I'll be right back," Yosuke said.
"Y-yeah..."
He went to the bathroom, trying not to imagine what it might be like to have Souji hold his hand while he peed. It felt like a forbidden thought, so he quickly pushed it out of his head while he took care of his business. Soon he was washing his hands at the sink. He dried them with a towel, feeling good about how clean his hands felt now.
When he came back to the room, it looked like Souji hadn't moved. His duffel bag was still sitting there on the table. Souji was staring up at the ceiling. When he noticed Yosuke was back, he held out his hand expectantly.
Without thinking, Yosuke reached out, but when their fingers touched, Yosuke pulled his hand back, and Souji's hand closed on air.
"Souji," Yosuke said, trying to ignore the crushing disappointment now present on his boyfriend's face. "What is going on?"
Souji opened his mouth, but no words came out. He looked like he was about to cry. Worried, Yosuke sat down next to him and put an arm around him, drawing him close.
"Sorry partner," Yosuke murmured. "I like it, I really do, but... moderation."
"Yosuke," Souji said, choking up. "I keep having nightmares. That I'm going to lose you."
Yosuke stared at him, then saw that he was shaking and pulled him into a hug, cradling his head against his chest. "Souji, geez... I had no idea. It's all right. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."
"Do you remember Izanami?" Souji asked quietly.
Yosuke didn't want to remember. That terrible visage, the stench of rotting flesh, and the casual indifference to their fate...
"I keep thinking of how she pulled you down into Yomi," Souji said.
"Ah," Yosuke said, not knowing what to say. They never did talk about that experience. Even if they'd wanted to, there'd been no time. The next day Souji was already leaving Inaba.
"S-scared," Souji said. "I was so scared... of losing all of you. I knew you all followed me because I was the leader, but... I wasn't ready for that responsibility."
"I don't think anything could have prepared you for that."
"Probably not," Souji admitted. "I was so scared, but worse might've been how angry it'd made me."
"Like a 'how dare you touch my friends'?" Yosuke said. "You got that way sometimes when we were fighting regular Shadows. Your Personas... definitely got more and more powerful as time went on. And frightening, not going to lie."
"I don't usually get angry," Souji murmured.
"You're the calmest dude I know," Yosuke agreed. "It's a good thing, because... you know, I'm not so calm. Makes us a good pair."
"Yeah," Souji said.
He sat up now, breaking from Yosuke's hug so that they could face each other. He reached up to Yosuke's face to brush away some stray hair, then let his hands drop along with his gaze. He sighed. "The way Izanami had pulled you down like that. I... I keep thinking... what if I could've pulled you back out?"
"With your own hands?" Yosuke guessed.
Souji nodded.
"Dude," Yosuke said. "It's okay. You did pull us back. I don't know how you did it—I probably don't want to know—but I'm here. That's proof enough."
Souji lifted his head. His eyes looked so vulnerable. Yosuke couldn't help but put his arms around him again.
"We're all okay," Yosuke said. He gave Souji a quick kiss. "Moving away probably hasn't helped, huh? You haven't been able to see us, to see the proof that we're okay."
"Yeah..."
"You'll see everyone tomorrow," Yosuke said. "I promise, we're all fine."
"I know," Souji said. "And Nanako's fine too, but..."
At his heavy sigh, Yosuke took his hands and held them in his own. "If you want to hold my hand a little longer, then... it's all right. Heck, you can hold both of them."
"Thanks, Yosuke."
'A little longer' turned into 'the rest of the night', but Souji's grateful smile made it worth enduring sweaty hands.

Thoughts on FGO?
Fun but cruel and merciless at times. Sometimes feels tedious as far as things like exp grinding goes, and until you get 10/10/10 on enough servants, skills will feel too rare to use anywhere except for the last battle. Still feels like the game emphasizes doing as much damage as possible as quickly as possible without regard for the long term.
The introduction of the Overgauge mechanic is something of a partial remedy to this strategy, but the way it doesn’t reset enemy charge gauges just makes the need to DPS race even more important. It’s intended as a hardline to create multi-stage boss fights that throw in twists, but the game has much less in the way of easing survivability than it does ways to increase your damage output. One of the best fights in the game was Childhood’s End in Babylonia because it felt like a traditional JRPG boss fight, managing much more aspects than just damage output and giving you an edge of survival.
youtube
Also has an amazing theme.
Overall FGO just has too many factors of randomness to allow players to try different strategies other than Turbo Shitting Damage. It’s like FF1/2/3 in that you require some foresight and prediction to guess the extent of damage you take, rather than being able to respond immediately to changing HP levels, but characters all over aren’t nearly as durable as they are in those games because of Noble Phantasms and in general having less HP and healing options. Though specific setups like characters with Taunt will allow more creative strategies, and Mash is the perfect servant to help players experiment more once they finish getting all of her story powerups.
I think they’ve made it much friendlier to get into though, which is great. Local Mad Man Kinoko Nasu also got to express his love for SRW through this game too and I’m glad. As well as having a tendency to write way more than he expects to. There’s a lot more 4 star welfares and DW is a lot more generous about doing reruns than they were in the past, the palingenesis system really helps 1-3 stars, and they better cleaned up the starter gacha and SQ gachas, as well as the new SQ rewards for singularities and reduced SQ costs.
We got a lot of great new servants and fans are always finding new favs and the like while the original casts still get love without the fanbase making them overshadow newer characters too much. Various characters get to exchange the spotlight and have screentime in the events or singularities. There are some amazing concepts, but some that are kind of Yikes too.
A few gameplay system tweaks and it could be real good. I also wish their gacha was as forgiving as some of their competitors like Granblue as well, unfortunately the Yakuza-indebted Milf Hunter was not enough to bring the game’s gacha system under examination unlike the gambler addict playing Granblue that caused them to put in that Pity SSR system (if I recall, anyways)
The game’s system requirements are a complete crapshoot though, jesus christ.

💛 femfeb day 25 | my femfeb masterpost 🧡 xposted → ao3 | dw | pf.io 💖 Mercy/Moira | 1.2k | Explicit 🧡 Established Relationship, Omorashi, Office Sex, Begging, Humiliation 💛 Angela has to go to the bathroom but Moira won’t let her
The lab, usually silent, was brimming over with sound. Most obvious was the rhythmic tap-tap-tapping of Angela’s pen on the pages of her data log. She wasn’t getting any writing done, but she certainly was keeping a steady beat. It was accompanied by the squeak of her office chair, nuts and bolts creaking in time as she bounced her leg anxiously. Almost lost in the shuffle were the soft sounds of Angela shifting in her seat, moving her weight from hip to hip… as if that would help. She kept glancing up, sending forlorn looks down to Moira who was sitting at the opposite end of the lab bench. Moira resolutely ignored her, focusing instead on a fascinating article she was reading. It paralleled some of her own research. She was always looking for move evidence to back up her claims, seeing as so few people were as capable as she was at replicating her experiments. “Moira-“ Angela began. Moira looked up, raising an eyebrow. Angela seemed to hesitate before shaking her head in dismissal. She glanced back down at the pages in front of her. She went on bouncing her leg, tapping her pen, shifting from side to side. She was growing more and more desperate by the minute. She wouldn’t be able to last much longer. All at once, Angela stood up. She reached over her lab bench to pluck a half-filled Erlenmeyer flask from the black table top. Carting it quite obviously in front of her, she started off, intending to brush past Moira on her way somewhere. Perhaps to deliver that flask someplace, or perhaps to make a break for the bathroom. “Ah, ah.” Moira caught Angela by the arm. “Just where do you think you’re going?” Angela must have known her little ruse wouldn’t work, and yet she still seemed disappointed. “To return this to the refrigerator to keep the sample chilled,” She lied, gesturing with the flask. Sure. It had only been sitting out all afternoon. It just had to go back in the refrigerator now, though. There was no way it could wait any longer. “Allow me,” Moira offered generously. She seized the sample of liquid from Angela’s grasp and held it up, giving it a playful slosh. Angela barely managed to mask the whimper in the back of her throat. “Go sit down, my darling. Finish your lab work.” As dejected as a dog with its tail between its legs, Angela returned to her chair. She didn’t sit down, though. She leaned back against the countertop and crossed her arms over her chest. She wasn’t tapping her foot any longer, but the leather of her shoe was shifting, toes obviously wriggling impatiently underneath. Moira wasn’t entirely sure that she could trust Angela to stay put but she stepped away to deliver the flask to the refrigerator as promised anyway. She nestled it on the third shelf among the other samples. She returned to the lab desk to find Angela exactly where she’d left her, and Moira would be lying if she said she wasn’t surprised. “Moira,” Angela said again, voice achingly vulnerable this time. Moira loved it when Angela sounded like that. So exposed, so open. It made something within her go soft, feelings of tenderness flowering in her chest. She loved that she was the one who could make Angela sound like that. It was both a privilege and a power. “What is it, my darling?” Moira asked her. Angela seemed to waver. She bit at her bottom lip, the soft pink of it disappearing between her teeth. She looked down at her feet, golden blonde fringe falling to hide her face. “Please, can I go to the bathroom?” She asked. Ah, there it was. All that power Moira felt? This was where it came into play. She was the one who got to decide. Angela was all hers; where she went, what she did, when and how she did it. Even the most basic things like bodily functions were all Moira’s to control. “I don’t think so.” Angela jerked her head up, no longer able to hide her desperation. “Please,” She rasped. “Please, I can’t hold it!” Hearing her beg was just one of many intoxicating elements in their little game. Moira enjoyed it just as much as she enjoyed the vulnerability. She enjoyed it just as much as she enjoyed having complete control. She would have let Angela go on begging if she didn’t believe those words were entirely true. She closed the distance between the two of them, crossing the lab to crowd Angela and corner her against the counter. Moira used her height to its full advantage, towering over her lover. She nuzzled quite tenderly into Angela’s soft blonde hair and slotted her knee between Angela’s legs. They fit together like puzzle pieces. “Can’t hold it?” Moira repeated with dark fascination, as though she couldn’t believe this turn of events. “Moira, please.” Angela reached out for her, grabbed at the lapels of her white lab coat and fisted them. Her breathing had gone shallow, chest rising and falling with each short breath. This only served to egg Moira on. She shifted, grinding her thigh up against the crotch of Angela’s pants. Just this simple movement alone earned a frustrated whimper. “Then don’t,” Moira whispered to her. In that moment, Angela didn’t have a choice. Whether she actually wanted to piss herself in the middle of the lab or not, she genuinely couldn’t stop once Moira started nudging at the place between her legs that she was desperate to release from. She cried out gently. A tremble rippled through her body. She made no attempt to stifle her voice or hide the humiliating pleasure that came with all this relief. It was funny. Moira didn’t even feel the wetness at first, just the searing heat of it running down her thigh. It just kept coming, a steady stream of it darkening both their pairs of pants as it poured down their legs. Angela was so full, she was going to leave a pool on the floor. “There you go,” Moira encouraged her. She stooped low, ducking to get access to Angela’s face. She was trying to hide it by angling it towards the ground. Her eyes were closed, her cheeks were vibrant red. She was so adorable when she was embarrassed. Poor thing. Moira kissed her cheek, and then her eyebrow. She nuzzled into Angela’s hairline. “That’s my good girl.” Angela caught her breath, slowly but surely. Her grip on Moira’s coat remained iron clad until she was good and empty. “Did you come during that?” Moira asked her. Sometimes she did, sometimes she didn’t. It was always best to ask. Angela was completely silent, but Moira had her ways of telling what the answer was. The way her throat clicked when she swallowed, the way she refused to look up, the fact that the red blush of her face was deeper now than before. Moira made a pleased noise. “Good.” She stepped back, disengaging. As soon as their limbs were untangled, Angela knocked her knees together to try and hide the mess as if it wasn’t completely obvious. As if Moira didn’t have the evidence soaking her own knee down to her shin. As if she hadn’t felt it happening, thigh pressed tight to the source. Angela even clasped her hands in front of her, further attempting to cover what she’d done. “Go on, go get cleaned up.” Moira said, finally granting Angela the permission she had desperately wanted earlier now that it was too late. Moira would stay and take care of the mess. It was the least she could do after all she’d put Angela through.

Help with Car Insurance/License!?!?
Okay, so I'm a 17 year old girl in michigan. I am planning to take my road test soon and then get my license. I have divorced parents and my grandfather on my moms side is going to buy me a car and keep it in his name. He is going to put me as the primary driver on this car and pay for the insurance. However; I live with my dad and therefore my address on my license will be at my dad's house, since you have to have proof of residency when you go to secretary of state. My dad has been extremely annoying about this situation, saying that his car insurance will go up since I live here, so I need to know if it will or not. The people I have talked to so far say that it won't since I am not a driver on his car or his wife's. I've been wanting to get my license so I can get a job and whatnot for over a year now, so please help me with your experience. Thank You :)""

Car mods and insurance premiums?
Hi, I'll give quite a bit of background first. I'm an 18 year old guy and I've been driving a 1.2 clio for about a year and a half now. Paying 1600 (CHEAP & completely clean license) my next insurance premium is around the 600 mark. I'd like to upgrade my car to either a 1.6-2.0L MK2 or a MK4 golf,(1100-ish annually) BUT I'd like to make modifications to it. Body rather then performance. Does it make a difference in the premium inevitably raising if I first insure the car, drive for a few months THEN modify and contact insurance, rather then, buying, modifying and insuring it before I've driven it? Hopefully that makes sense to anyone reading it. Thanks.""

i need some help cos i'm pretty confused so i bought a car at the start of the year, took out a loan to get it, etc and I have been having no problems paying it off so that was going fine. than two months ago i had a huge crash which totalled my car. It wasn't deemed my fault or the other person's fault. I did have full comprehensive insurance, but i missed two payments. I remember recieving a letter saying if i kept missing these payments then my insurance would be cancelled. Than when i put my claim in to get my insurance on my car through after the crash, they said i had recieved a letter syaing that my insurance had been cancelled due to lack of payments. I'm confused, i didn't get that letter. now, i have no car and am still paying off that loan. Is there any way I can fix this. Wtf Is going on with car insurance companies?
Last company auto renewed my policy but i wasnt aware of this as had moved address, so to cancel it I had to pay 133 as id already started going with someone else on top of the initial deposit amount i had to pay for both companies which has took a large chunk of my money for what i feel was no fault of mine, then a month later im getting letters from my current insurance asking me to pay an extra 90 plus 25 admin fee or my policy will be cancelled AGAIN meaning a cancellation fee because when i said i had held my licence for 8 years they recon its 7 ive held it for and this makes my policy go up, thing is i got my licence on 22/08/2003 and took my poliocy out on the 19/08/2011 so they're making out when i took out the policy i only had licence for 7 years for sake of 2 days who the hell wouldnt have said 8 to that? it just seems theyre trying everything now days trawling through all your stuff finding the smallest detail just so they can get money off you or cancellation fees cos that way they're not risking anything on insurance but still gettin money off you for cancellation fees its a joke and I can really see why people think there's no point having insurance anymore. Plus I have never made a claim since I started driving but because others have in the country im being punished with premiums going up. Will it just end up where everyone who simply cant afford it thinks sod it and drives round with no insurance? surely that would make things even worse but all these cancellation fees if it happens again that I have to cancel that will be 550 ive paid in the last 2 months and still my car wont have insurance????? arghhhhh its doing my head in surely something can be done to help the customers a little more as insurance was always a headache but this is becoming ridiculous now. ..""

Throughout this month I've been pulled over twice, and the reason for them are pretty stupid if you ask me. I basically see it as being at the wrong place at the wrong time. The first time I got pulled over was while I was getting off a red light with a car in front of me. I got hit with 3 tickets. - Tailgating, (supposedly I was too close to the other car when i was getting off the red light) - Careless driving, (don't know how this plays a roll in why I got pull over) - Loud muffler, ( just got it back from the mechanic that day and had a leak on the exhaust) The second time I got pulled over I stopped on a red light and checked if I can make a right on red, there was no sign stating I can't, so I went ahead and turned red when possible. I was given two tickets. smh -____- FML - Failure to observe traffic control device ( don't know how if I clearly noticed it was red) - Careless Driving _______________________________ Aside from the facts that they are points on my license, I'm going to do my best in trying to take some courses that can remove the points they gave my license. Can the insurance company really auction off my car?!?
there was a wreck. they towed my car. i thought i would get it back. my insurance claims guy emailed me this-- Your vehicle is currently on its way or has arrived at a salvage yard in Defuniak Springs. An employee with Progressive will be inspecting it today or tomorrow to determine the value. Session 1: A Case of the Lundys
Lundy [Village, Poor, Oath(Ormkirk), Resource(Raw Silk Thread)] is a small village nestled in the foothills of the Razorback mountains. Locals either live off the land or work in the Silk Caves.
Lundy’s silk is sold in nearby Ormkirk [Town, Moderate Wealth, Watch(Captain Orminster), Craft (silk-making, fine clothing)] where it is processed into silk cloth and fine clothing. No deliveries have been made in two weeks. One week ago, Duke Orminster of Ormkirk sent his son, Captain Orminster to investigate but he has not returned.
When things go afoul and mystery is afoot, the world calls on heroes. Duke Orminster has engaged the Lightwatchers. They must:
Reestablish the flow of silk from Lundy
Recall Captain Orminster to Ormkirk for debriefing
The Lightwatchers travel a tightly packed dirt road as it traces the bank of a shallow river. The occasional thwack! from an axe and wisps of smoke slipping from the treetops mark the end of their journey. Lundy proper features a General Store and a few log structures. Most of the residents live in nearby homesteads.
A young man, Rattle, stands in front of the General Store. He snaps to attention when he sees the newcomers as if standing guard. His eyes are sunken and he is unkempt. He looks tired. Rattle wears leather armor emblazoned with the crest of Ormkirk on his chest, the crossed Sewing Needle & Canon.
“Halt! What is your business in Lundy?” Rattle affects an authoritative tone. Ajax, a hardened Fighter, immediately realizes the boy is aping behavior he has seen modeled by more seasoned authority figures. He is green and nervous.
Ajax moves forward, “We are here on the authority of the Duke. Where is Captain Orminster?”
“Duke? Which Duke?” Rattle eyes Ajax’s massive battleaxe wearily. He’s never seen anything quite like the four adventurers in front of him. His hand moves to the hilt of the sword on his hip.
Lupin Crowsong, the halfling Bard strides up to Rattle confidently, “Duke Orminster, the very same man who sent you here. We are here to help.”
Lupin Defies Danger with his Charisma
He repeats Ajax’s question, “Where is the Captain?” and he places his hand on Rattle’s shoulder disarmingly.
A flicker of trust flashes across the guard’s eyes as he considers Lupin’s words. In an instant, Ajax expertly removes Rattle’s belt and scabbard from his waist. He is The Fighter and able to perform this martial feat on a distracted and unskilled opponent easily.
Trust gives way to terror, Rattle is now cornered and defenseless. He falls to the grass and scoots back against the front door of the store. “I don’t know where he is, man. Captain Orminster told me to stand here, okay? I’m to guard the General Store. That’s all I know.” The party gets the distinct impression the Captain left him here as a fool’s errand to keep him out of the way while he completes his investigation.
The human Paladin Fox speaks up from within his hood, “How long have you been here?”
“Two... three days? I don’t know. I’ve been standing guard and sleeping here.” Rattle points to a hay-stuffed pillow in the dirt nearby. “Bryant in the shop has been sharing jerky with me. Listen, I’m just trying to do my job, okay?”
Ajax tosses Rattle’s sword belt back to him and it lands on the ground by his feet. The Fighter enters the General Store with Lupin, leaving Fox and Mogilou with the guard out front.
Two woodsmen sit inside, sipping something from tankards. Bryant, the burly shopkeep greets the duo, “Welcome to Lundy. Mead?”
Lupin nods yes excitedly. Ajax is all business, “We are here on behest of Duke Orminster to investigate the silk shortage and recall Captain Orminster. Have you seen anything strange in town the past few weeks?”
Bryant fills a tankard from a spout on a huge wooden barrel and hands it Lupin. “You two are the strangest thing I’ve seen here in a long time.”
Ajax is a strong human with a built physique. He has dead eyes that have seen one too many battles. His skin is tough and calloused, apart from the shine of his bald head. On his back rests a two-handed battleaxe of ancient design. It is covered indecipherable runes of power. His battered armor has seen better days, but he strikes an imposing figure.
Lupin is a fit halfling in a traveling cloak. His expressive eyes flicker and his fiery hair dances with his movements. A golden fiddle is secured around his shoulder. Halflings are rarely seen on the road and never in Lundy.
They are a strange pair indeed.
Bryant continues, “I mind the shop and my customers. I don’t know about much other than tha--” his sentence is punctuated by a distant scream. Ajax turns and runs out of the store. Lupin climbs into a chair and gulps at his mead greedily.
Outside, Fox bolts off towards the scream and Mogilou gives chase. Ajax grabs Rattle by the arm and yanks him to his feet as they run toward the noise just behind them.
Crashing through a moderately wooded area, Fox and Mogilou reach a clearing. A woman lies on her back, bleeding, screaming, and protecting her face with her arms. A faint blur of blue bioluminescence illuminates a segmented flying creature. It swoops and claws at the woman.
Mogilou makes a fist and looks above into the darkening sky. She mutters words in an enigmatic language and her hand glows a brilliant white. The Wizard thrusts her hand toward the creature and blinding light spirals from her outstretched fingertips.
Mogilou casts Magic Missile
The spiraling light strikes the creature solidly, knocking it from the sky. It skips across the ground and rolls before leaping back into the air and charging towards its attacker.
Fox rushes ahead of the Wizard and brings his halberd down in a long overhead swing as the bug moves in.
Fox Hacks and Slashes
The bladed weapon slices the monster clean in two, splattering Fox with the blue glowing goo as it crashes to the ground on either side of him.
Lupin, having rejoined the party after finishing his drink, consults his Bardic Lore of A Bestiary of Creatures Unusual and identifies the creature as a Silk Moth, noting that this glowing and aggressive behavior are both quite unusual.

GM Notes
This was a short session because it began with character creation. We spent a good amount of time learning about DW as a game and discussing the role of the players and the GM. These are the notes I prepared for the introductory part of the game:
What is DW? [from SRD]  Dungeon World is a world of fantastic adventure. A world of magic, gods and demons, of good and evil, law and chaos. Brave heroes venture into the most dangerous corners of the land in search of gold and glory.
Why play DW [from SRD] First, to see the characters do amazing things. To see them explore the unexplored, slay the undying, and go from the deepest bowels of the world to the highest peaks of the heavens. To see them caught up in momentous events and grand tragedies.Second, to see them struggle together. To gather as a party despite their differences and stand united against their foes, or to argue over treasure, debate battle plans, and join in righteous celebration over a victory hard-won.Third, because the world still has so many places to explore. There are unlooted tombs and dragon hoards dotting the countryside just waiting for quick-fingered and strong-armed adventurers to discover them. That unexplored world has plans of its own. Play to see what they are and how they’ll change the lives of our characters.
Collaborative story Think of it like a movie in our heads. We all contribute. Your focus is on portraying exceptional people doing cool stuff. We will learn more about these characters as we go on. As we play try to enter the mind of your character. How do they feel? What are their ambitions? Their instincts? What are they most afraid of?
My focus is presenting obstacles, rewards, and color. From time to time I will ask you for help flushing out our imaginary world. We get to decide together what this world looks like.Your characters know each other. You may or may not be friends, but you work together for a purpose. We will talk more about this purpose once we've created the characters. Let's do that now.
I will read the descriptions from the book for each class. [READ class descriptions from SRD]
[Hand out playbooks based on interest]
If you've played other games like this you may be worried about party synergy. There are no wrong choices here. Play what seems most fun to you.
[Build characters]
I will talk in terms of "fiction" and "mechanics." In DW the fiction comes first and the mechanics follow. What that means is that you tell me what your character does and says and that fictional action may trigger a mechanical rule. These rules are called moves. Moves are always triggered by the fiction. Simple or inconsequential actions do not typically trigger moves--they just happen in the fiction. We all contribute to noticing when a move is triggered. You will see how that works as play advances. For now, just remember that this is our movie. Your characters are the stars. Let's watch them do some cool shit.
I wanted to get the party into the action as quickly as possible. In retrospect, I should have skipped the interaction with the guard and Bryant and opened on the clearing. Originally I intended to wrap up this entire mission in one session. We just wrapped session 4 and have not finished.
In the future, start very small and fast. I always tell myself this but I overestimate the wind-up time for new players and settings. Throw them into the action immediately. I cannot stress this enough.

BULLETIN: NORTH KOREA says it plans to launch missiles toward GUAM — HALEY loses two top aides — GEORGE gets Mooch for Sunday intvw — BILL CLINTON's reading list
BULLETIN — NORTH KOREA SAYS IT’S PLANNING TO FIRE MISSILES TOWARD THE U.S. TERRITORY IN AUGUST — AP’s Eric Talmadge in SEOUL at 4:59 a.m.: “North Korea has announced a detailed plan to launch a salvo of ballistic missiles toward the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam, a major military hub and home to U.S. bombers. If carried out, it would be the North’s most provocative missile launch to date.
“The announcement Thursday warned that the North is finalizing a plan to fire four of its Hwasong-12 missiles over Japan and into waters around the tiny island, which hosts 7,000 U.S. military personnel on two main bases and has a population of 160,000.
Story Continued Below
“It said the plan, which involves the missiles hitting waters 30 to 40 kilometers (19 to 25 miles) from the island, could be sent to leader Kim Jong Un for approval within a week or so. It would be up to Kim whether the move is actually carried out. … North Korea, no stranger to bluffing, frequently uses extremely bellicose rhetoric with warnings of military action to keep its adversaries on their heels. It generally couches its threats with language stating it will not attack the United States unless it has been attacked first or has determined an attack is imminent. …
“‘We keep closely watching the speech and behavior of the U.S.,’ it said. Such a move would not merely be a test launch, but a demonstration of military capabilities that could easily lead to severe consequences. South Korea’s military responded by saying North Korea will face a “stern and strong” response from Washington and Seoul. Taking it a step further, Japan’s Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera told parliament a missile attack on the U.S. territory would be a Japanese national emergency because it would threaten Japan’s existence as a nation.” http://bit.ly/2ftIrtL

TOP-ED — SUSAN RICE in the NYT, “It’s Not Too Late on North Korea”: “We have long lived with successive Kims’ belligerent and colorful rhetoric — as ambassador to the United Nations in the Obama administration, I came to expect it whenever we passed resolutions. What is unprecedented and especially dangerous this time is the reaction of President Trump. Unscripted, the president said on Tuesday that if North Korea makes new threats to the United States, ‘they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.’ These words risk tipping the Korean Peninsula into war, if the North’s leader, Kim Jong-un, believes them and acts precipitously.
“Either Mr. Trump is issuing an empty threat of nuclear war, which will further erode American credibility and deterrence, or he actually intends war next time Mr. Kim behaves provocatively. The first scenario is folly, but a United States decision to start a pre-emptive war on the Korean Peninsula, in the absence of an imminent threat, would be lunacy.” http://nyti.ms/2vRgYIi
INVESTORS SEEK SHELTER — FT: “The Swiss franc led a rally among haven assets across global markets on Wednesday as investors retreated from equities in the wake of escalating rhetoric between North Korea and the U.S. … The Swiss franc, often favoured in times of stress for its perceived stability, made its most notable gains against the euro, strengthening by as much as 1.5 per cent. Against the dollar the franc rose as much as 1.4 per cent.” http://on.ft.com/2urTWV1
GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS (@georgestephanopoulos): “EXCLUSIVE: I’ll sit down live with @Scaramucci for his first interview since being fired from the WH, this Sunday only on @ThisWeekABC” … @StephenAtHome: “On Monday 8/14 Anthony Scaramucci will be my guest on @colbertlateshow. This is just a heads up for our censors to get ready! #themooch”.
Good Thursday morning. COINCIDENCE?: “Fire and fury” is a mission in the videogame “World of Warcraft.” Who had a business and personal connection to “World of Warcraft”? Stephen K. Bannon (http://slct.al/2wKMlli).
SPOTTED: Stephen Miller, sans tie in a summer linen sportcoat, yesterday outside Woodward Table on 15th Street with his dry cleaning.
DEPARTURE LOUNGE — “U.S. Ambassador Haley Loses Two Key Aides at United Nations,” by Bloomberg’s Kambiz Foroohar: “U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has lost two of her top aides, key departures that come at a time of growing international tensions between the U.S. and North Korea.
“Haley’s Chief of Staff Steven Groves resigned, as did her communications director Jonathan Wachtel. Haley said on Twitter Wednesday it was because of ‘family concerns.’ The departures also come ahead of Haley’s trip to Vienna to review Iran’s nuclear activities with the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency. Groves, an adviser who had arrived from the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation had argued for the U.S. to ‘sever relations’ with UN’s Human Rights Council for criticizing Israel and to pull out of the Paris climate change agreement. …
“‘Both Jonathan&Steve have recently encountered family concerns,’ Haley said. ‘They will always be a part of the team & dear friends.’” https://bloom.bg/2vQC4GT
ATTN. DONALD TRUMP, MARC SHORT, STEVEN MNUCHIN and GARY COHN — MITCH MCCONNELL SPEAKS — by the North Kentucky Tribune’s managing editor Mark Hansel: “‘A Congress goes on for two years and part of the reason I think that the story line is that we haven’t done much is because, in part, the President and others have set these early time lines about things need to be done by a certain point,’ McConnell said. …
“‘Don’t start judging [too] soon, the accomplishments of this congress, sending bills to this president, who will sign them,’ McConnell said. ‘I’m not going to tell you when we are going to finish tax reform, but we’ll finish it. That’s the way we begin to change America.’” … ‘I’ve been, and I will be again today, not a fan of tweeting — I’ve said that to him privately and I’ve said it at other events publicly,’ McConnell said. ‘I think it would be helpful if the President was a little bit more on message.’” http://bit.ly/2ww8Rih
— SO, JUST TO REVIEW … This event was Monday, but has not gotten much attention (h/t Morning Money). The man who controls the Senate’s calendar is not setting a timeline for tax reform, and he wishes the White House would stop setting artificial deadlines. And he says the president should stay on message. Over to you, Mr. President.
ADAM NAGOURNEY — NYT, A1 — “Democratic Fight in California Is a Warning for the National Party”: “California Democrats have emerged as something else: a cautionary tale for a national party debating how to rebuild and seize back power. Even at a time of overall success, state Democrats are torn by a bitter fight for the party leadership, revealing the kind of divisions — between insiders and outsiders, liberals and moderates — that unsettled the national party last year and could threaten its success in coming years. …
“The fight pits Eric C. Bauman, a longtime party leader, against Kimberly Ellis, a Bay Area activist. Mr. Bauman won the election by just over 60 votes out of 3,000 cast at the party convention in May, but Ms. Ellis has refused to concede, claiming voting improprieties, like permitting ineligible people to vote for Mr. Bauman. … Ms. Ellis, 44, has from the start presented herself as an outsider: It is her first run for party leadership. … Mr. Bauman has spent 30 years working for the Democratic Party, including leading the Los Angeles County Democratic Party. He was a delegate for Mrs. Clinton in last year’s presidential election. With his gruff demeanor and a strong-as-ever Bronx accent — no matter that he came here 40 years ago — he has been called ‘Boss Bauman,’ as Mr. Bauman himself noted in an interview.” http://nyti.ms/2vlJYYl
****** A message from the Coalition for Affordable Prescription Drugs (CAPD): If you know only one fact about rising drug costs, know this one: drug makers set prices for prescription drugs. To help manage nearly double-digit price increases, employers, unions and government programs use PBMs to negotiate lower net prices to help curb costs for employers and patients. Learn more at affordableprescriptiondrugs.org ******
WHAT HAPPENED TO DWS? — MARC CAPUTO: “Blowback from staffer scandal burns Wasserman Schultz”: “The chatter about a House leadership post is gone. So is talk of statewide office. After Hillary Clinton’s defeat, there’s no prospect of an administration job for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. She’s under fire for mismanaging an IT employee under a House IT investigation who was arrested on a seemingly unrelated mortgage fraud charge. Wasserman Schultz broke her public silence on Awan last week, portraying herself as the victim of ‘right wing media’ attacks rooted in anti-Muslim bigotry.
“Here’s fellow Florida Democrat and DNC member Nikki Barnes saying what many others are saying privately: ‘We wish she would go away and stop being so public by doubling down on negative stories … None of this makes sense. It doesn’t sound like racial profiling … there must have been something for her …. This adds to Debbie being re-branded as the Democrats’ disastrous destruction,’ Barnes said. ‘Those of us on the DNC know we have to rebrand ourselves and earn the people’s trust. And unfortunately Debbie’s name does not scream trust. It screams power. It screams limited access. It screams WikiLeaks now. DNC lawsuit. It screams a lot of negative things to the public. That’s not how we want to rebrand ourselves.’” http://politi.co/2vRpSGJ
STRANGE STORY OF THE WEEK — “Hearing loss of US diplomats in Cuba blamed on covert device,” by AP’s Matthew Lee in D.C. and Michael Weissenstein in Havana: “In the fall of 2016, a series of U.S. diplomats began suffering unexplained losses of hearing, according to officials with knowledge of the investigation into the case. Several of the diplomats were recent arrivals at the embassy, which reopened in 2015 as part of former President Barack Obama’s reestablishment of diplomatic relations with Cuba.
“Some of the diplomats’ symptoms were so severe that they were forced to cancel their tours early and return to the United States, officials said. After months of investigation, U.S. officials concluded that the diplomats had been exposed to an advanced device that operated outside the range of audible sound and had been deployed either inside or outside their residences. It was not immediately clear if the device was a weapon used in a deliberate attack, or had some other purpose.” http://bit.ly/2wKAbsz
— DEPT. OF DIPLOMACY: “Trump friend Tom Barrack said to be in talks to become ambassador to Mexico,” by Josh Dawsey: “Tom Barrack, a real estate investor and a close friend of President Donald Trump’s, is in talks to become ambassador to Mexico, according to three White House officials and advisers familiar with the matter. The high-profile post — one of the most important in Trump’s orbit, given his tense relationship with the country and his crackdown on immigration along the border — has been the subject of intense talks within the administration … Barrack, a gregarious billionaire, is the front-runner for the position but has expressed some concerns about taking it, one of the White House officials said. It is unclear whether he will end up accepting, ‘but it is his if he wants it,’ one of these people said.” http://politi.co/2wwuT4u
GET IT YET? — BREITBART VS. MCMASTER — “Exclusive – Zionist Organization of America Analysis Determines McMaster Hostile to Trump, Calls for Reassignment,” by Matt Boyle. http://bit.ly/2vHRQ7s
ALEX ISENSTADT SCOOP — “Top Trump donor ponies up to take out Flake,” by Alex Isenstadt: “One of Donald Trump’s most generous political benefactors is providing a six-figure donation to a super PAC devoted to unseating Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican who has been fiercely critical of the president. Robert Mercer, a reclusive hedge fund billionaire who was intimately involved in Trump’s rise and helped to bankroll his 2016 campaign, is contributing $300,000 to a super PAC supporting former state Sen. Kelli Ward, who is challenging Flake in a Republican primary next year. It’s the latest sign that Trump’s political machine is preparing to take on Flake, whose persistent attacks have angered the president. The White House has met with Ward and two other Republicans who are mulling primary challenges to the Arizona senator, state Treasurer Jeff DeWit and former state GOP Chairman Robert Graham.” http://politi.co/2urDacO
SCOOP – “Feds sought cooperation from Manafort’s son-in-law,” by Josh Dawsey and Darren Samuelsohn with Daniel Lippman: “Federal investigators sought cooperation from Paul Manafort’s son-in-law in an effort to increase pressure on President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, according to three people familiar with the probe. Investigators approached Jeffrey Yohai, who has partnered in business deals with Manafort, earlier this summer, setting off ‘real waves’ in Manafort’s orbit, one of these people said.
“Another of these people said investigators are trying to get ‘into Manafort’s head.’ Manafort, who is a focus of the broad federal and congressional investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign, is also under investigation for his business and real estate transactions, including some that involve Yohai. … It is unclear if investigators have secured cooperation from Yohai, who also hasn’t been accused of wrongdoing. … Mueller’s targeting of both Manafort and his son-in-law over potential criminal wrongdoing is a familiar tactic in white-collar cases, commonly called ‘climbing the ladder.’” http://politi.co/2ustbzZ
FOR TY COBB — “Trump’s Legal Team Is No Match for Mueller’s: The president could learn from Bill and Hillary Clinton’s years of litigation,” by Bloomberg’s Tom Schoenberg with Shannon Pettypiece: “As Mueller adds experienced prosecutors and broadens his investigation, Trump’s legal team still appears disorganized and understaffed. An army of well-paid lawyers would help the president get in front of the investigation: preparing responses to allegations before hearing about them from prosecutors or reporters, anticipating where Mueller is going, and developing a counternarrative to stymie him. … Instead, Trump’s defense has been almost entirely reactive—responding to the latest bombshell report with uninformed statements by surrogates. …
“Bill and Hillary Clinton — both Yale Law grads — set up a war room on the top floor of the old executive office building next to the White House, where lawyers and staff would go through documents that needed to be turned over. Meetings were held several times a day, with lawyers shuttling between the White House, the executive building, and the offices of Skadden and Williams & Connolly a few blocks away. Dowd and Sekulow have offices less than a 10-minute walk from the White House, and at this point the legal team doesn’t see any need to set up a Clinton-style war room. … Trying to deal with Mueller without a high-powered legal operation ‘is like going to a knife fight with a stick of butter in your hand,’ says Nicholas Allard, a former Washington attorney who’s now the dean of Brooklyn Law School. ‘The team should reflect the importance of what’s at stake, which is nothing less than the future of this presidency.’” https://bloom.bg/2hN5kcr

IN THE SKIES — “Unarmed Russian Air Force jet overflies the Pentagon, Capitol, CIA,” by CNN’s Jon Ostrower, Peter Morris and Noah Gray: “An unarmed Russian Air Force aircraft overflew the US Capitol, the Pentagon, Central Intelligence Agency and Joint Base Andrews at low altitude on Wednesday as part of a longstanding treaty that allows the militaries of the United States and Russia to observe the other from the air, according to two people familiar with the flight. The flight was part of the Treaty on Open Skies, which allows military aircraft from the United States and Russia and other nations to fly aerial observation flights to observe military sites of the 34 signatory nations. The Russian Air Force Tupolev Tu-154 on Wednesday afternoon passed at around 3,700 feet over downtown Washington and Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, where Air Force One is based, according to tracking website Flightradar24.
“The jet is authorized to enter P-56, the highly secure airspace surrounding the White House. … A second flight by the same jet [was] planned for between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, when the Russian jet [was scheduled to] overfly Bedminster, New Jersey, where President Donald Trump is vacationing … A law enforcement source told CNN that the plane also overflew Camp David, the presidential retreat in the Catoctin Mountains, the Trump National Golf Course in Virginia, and Mount Weather, one of the U.S. government’s secret relocation bunkers. United States Air Force personnel were on the flight and the aircraft is capable of a variety of intelligence gathering.” http://cnn.it/2vpKMtw
THE 16-YEAR-OLD WAR — “Trump’s indecision on Afghanistan leaves generals in lurch,” by Wesley Morgan: “U.S. and Afghan military commanders battling the Taliban and the Islamic State are encountering an obstacle they never expected, sources close to them say: months of indecision by President Donald Trump on whether to commit thousands of additional American troops. Instead of approving their plan for more troops as anticipated, the president has caught his generals off guard by questioning whether the 16-year-long effort to stabilize Afghanistan is still worth it, according to current and former military officials familiar with the conversations. …
“Amid the uncertainty, the security situation on the ground continues to deteriorate. Deaths of Afghan security forces in the early months of 2017 were ‘shockingly high,’ the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction recently reported, continuing a years-long upward trend. The Afghan government ‘controls or influences’ only 60 percent of the country’s 407 districts as of early this summer, down from 65 percent the same time last year, according to the U.S. military headquarters in Kabul.” http://politi.co/2urJ4uc
NETANYAHU’S STAND — “Netanyahu Accuses ‘the Left’ and the Media of Trying to Oust Him,” by NYT’s Isabel Kershner in Jerusalem: “In Trumpian fashion, Mr. Netanyahu denounced the ‘fake news media,’ which he said had joined with ‘the left’ in what he called ‘an obsessive and unprecedented witch hunt against me and my family, in order to carry out a coup.’ The point, he said, was to press the law enforcement authorities to file charges, no matter what.” http://nyti.ms/2vpocRX

****** A message from the Coalition for Affordable Prescription Drugs (CAPD): The high prices that drug makers set for prescription drugs can put financial strain on patients, employers, unions and others who provide health care coverage to more than 50 percent of Americans. Pharmacy benefit managers negotiate the lowest net price for prescriptions on behalf of employers, unions and government programs. But, as list prices – the starting point for those negotiations — continue their nearly double-digit increases, the effects ripple throughout the system. The key to ensuring greater access and affordability lies in fostering greater competition. Facilitating faster reviews of generics and biosimilars, identifying off-patent drugs with little or no generic competition, and ending anti-competitive practices that keep safe, effective alternatives out of the market are also key to abating rising drug costs for patients.
