I ADORE flower language and symbolism. I tend to use it when delivering flowers to others, whether they know of it or not. Flower language means quite a lot to me. It's hard not to think of it when others hand ME flowers either. Most of the time, I can tell they simply don't know, but that doesn't mean my brain doesn't try to creep towards the meaning of the type and color.

Here are some of my favorites:

Bird's-foot trefail = revenge

Pink Azaleas = familial love / nostalgia

Blue stars = strength and resilience

Forget-me-nots = it's in the name people

Marigolds = grief

White egret orchids = my thoughts will follow you into your dreams

Contrary to popular belief; life as a male is not always to live it on easy mode. From the day many are born, to the day they die, it is often to live a life of vulnerability, violation, disadvantage, and neglect. Whether it’s the needless infant circumcision of babies on day zero, the way boys are left behind in western education, how they are so often sexually violated in adolescence, the unique vulnerabilities in adulthood, or lack of rights in fatherhood; the many issues that plague boys and men live in darkness. They are not under the public spotlight of political campaigning, or public ire. They are not picked at by think tanks, researched by academics, or fought for in the trenches of advocacy. The spotlight of awareness for boys and men is switched off. And as a result, not only are these issues not addressed, but worse, we are led to believe that they simply aren’t there at all. But just because something can’t be seen, or isn’t spoken about, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Because they do. And our failure to advocate boys and men, and worse, to attack those who do, will surely be a black mark on our history. What’s left until then is to keep playing the game. To watch boys and men run the gauntlet of life alone; where they stumble, fall, get up, fall again, are forgotten about, and too often tumble into the abyss. The kind hand of society is not reaching out to help them, but is instead clenched angrily, jutting out an accusatory finger: this is your problem boys, and yours to solve. --

I think nothing betrays the inherent ableism of those "gamers(tm)" that complain that "easy mode goes against what the game developers had in mind", more than the fact that most of them celebrate speedruns. Speedruns, that tend to use all those little tricks based on some faulty code and stuff, that very clearly were not what the devs had had in mind.

If they really cared about the "vision", they would be against speedruns. But they aren't. They just hate the idea that disabled folks might play their games.

I have been alternating between my Rock Palace world and this new one of desert and mesa*

I will try this tower on Easy mode (at least for now, I might be going back and forth). It's getting dark though, so I will go and sleep in that village behind it first.

* A seed for bedrock edition I found on a google search. It's called "Mesa and Lush caves" and it is absolutely gorgeous. So far I've seen two villages, two towers and two pyramids. Much more to explore. Big recommendation.

I don't know about Normal Mode, as I can't even get past Axis in Normal on a Pacifist route; but in Easy Mode, benefits stack between phases. When you die in a phase of Ceroba's fight, if you started the battle with Doc's overcharged HP and then retry, you start that phase with overcharged HP. If you eat the golden cactus and then die, you restart that phase with how ever many turns you had left for the Golden Cactus to heal you.
