Whether it’s loneliness, the pressure to provide, or walking home at night; being a man often comes with a very real and valid set of fears.
Sadly, to so many men, fear is one of the countless emotions that seems off-limits to them.
For you cannot be afraid if you need to provide and protect, fight the fire, or slay the dragon; and few will look kindly at the traumatised knight in shining armour, whimpering in the corner.
If there’s a war to be fought… we send the men.
A bump in the night… we send the men.
A knife-wielding lunatic… we send the men.
The history of the world, and its greatest wonders, have been built upon the lives, sacrifices and stolen fears of such men – bought, buried, or blown up – for millennia.
And so, we have come to see men as robots, and not as fellow humans, each capable of feeling and fearing as anyone else.
Yes, men can be afraid too.
So, I want to ask the guys, what is it you fear, and how can we better support you in fighting it?

revamping my oldest oc band + their designs a tad bit. these two are mostly staying the same apart from some minor changes. so here’s david and billy on a break from recording their first album in ‘67.
acesan and lusan are very cool and enjoyable i love both a lot
but what about sabosan.... think about it (please)
both similar in multiple ways
born in a royal/noble family and absolutely Loathes them and wished they were never born from such family
aesthetically they fit rlly well
certainly ace can understand sanji's self worth issues Deeply. and luffy well... he was basically the light sanji needed. luffy didn't like him just for his cooking, but he was especially interested because of sanji's kindness
sabo can heavily relate to royal/noble problems and refuses to ever be considered one. AND THEY BOTH PROTECTED THE ONES THEY LOVED BY STICKING TO THEIR FAMILY'S SIDE.
and also the uncanny similarities to both his brothers ace and luffy... ace especially now that sabo has inherited his powers. they're both different though. sabo seems a little bit more proper and has this unique charm. and the love/care he has for luffy is so... fond? he seems to have a more tamer way of approaching things (till sanji realizes hes not That tame and is a hot head/rages easy.)
sabo has a goal and he's somewhat more kept together than his other brothers. hes resolve is outstanding as a freedom fighter AND hes the second commander of the revolutionary army??? fucking SWOONS (ok lowkey this just mostly me on my knees for sabo but not my fault im in love w each ASL brothers)
and like just... imagine sabo and sanji meeting for the first time. sabo introduces himself to sanji similar to what ace did.... and lighting up his cigarette but maybe a little closer 👀
sabo walking up to sanji, who is a bit startled with sabo's height- towering over him... and his finger is light with fire and just casually lights sanji's cigarette with the softest smile he's ever seen what the FUCK
and sabo's reaction to sanji yelling at luffy and usopp is a little different yet similar to ace's too... sabo chuckling and saying "hey why don't you go a little easier on 'em? they're still young." he just sounds so sweet... and in his eyes you could just tell he's reminiscing on the past.
"if i did, they'd never learn... not that they ever learn."
Did you realise psychology is not a "STEM" subject?
I don't even think it's a science, is it?
What about neuroscience? That's got the word "science" in it. Not a "STEM" subject.
It's not?
No.
Really?
Did you realize medicine and nursing, they're not "STEM"?
Is medicine not?
If you actually take all the UCAS subjects for all the sciences, technology, engineering and maths, and if you actually include things like biology, which is obviously a science, but is not a "STEM" subject, there's actually more women in "STEM" than men.
Biology is like the easy one though isn't it?
Not for me, mate. Everyone's like, "but nursing's not a science." Look, literally open a nursing handbook and it's just science. Science, science, science. And it's so insulting to nurses. They are "STEM" students, in my opinion.
But the political concept of "STEM," they're not part of it. And if you include all of the sciences, objectively speaking, women are not underrepresented. "STEM" is just a political neologism, where they basically selected all the sciences where boys are ahead, physics, chemistry, and they're like, "well, this is STEM now."
And it's like, you're just forgetting the fact that in two thirds of university degrees, men are underrepresented. No one talks about those ones. It's always this obsession with "STEM." And yeah, I want to have more women in engineering, and physics, and chemistry. But guess what? I want more men in teaching, English, and the soft sciences we talked about.
