Eddie calls you to pick him up from the police station — eddie x fem!hopper!reader fluff
warnings: eddie gets taken to the police station for peeing in the lake lol

Tumblr media
“Alright, you know the drill. Someone’s gotta pick you up; you get one call.” Your dad told Eddie, even though they had been through this routine before. “Your uncle again?”
Eddie shook his head. “Nah, Wayne’s out of town. Fishing trip with his buddies. He told me not to bother him unless it’s an emergency.”
“This doesn’t qualify as important enough to call?” One of the officers piped up.
Eddie turned his neck to look at the cop. “Nope. This is just a normal Tuesday for me.”
Your dad held the phone out for your boyfriend. “Well, you got anyone else you can call?”
Eddie held back a mischievous grin, taking the phone. “I have one person I can call, but I don’t think you’re gonna be happy about it.”
✦✧✦✧✦
You rushed down to the station as quickly as possible, only making one stop along the way to grab a peace offering from Benny’s. Before going inside, you looked through the window to scan the tone of the building, making sure it was okay to go inside.
You opened the door and saw Eddie in handcuffs at one of the officers’ desks, twirling a pen with his fingers. Before he got the chance to look up at you, your dad came out from his office looking surprised to see you.
“Hey, kiddo, what are you doing here?” He asked.
You held out the take-out bag for him. “I, uh, I brought you lunch.”
“She’s got ulterior motives, Hopper!” Eddie piped up from across the room. You turned and shot him a glare, along with a whispered 'shut up'.
Your dad looked confused, now starting to understand the food you brought. "What's he talking about?"
There was an awkward silence as you tried to figure out how to word the reason you were really here.
"Well, Dad, I'm also here to pick Eddie up."
He dropped the takeout bag on the nearest desk and pointed an accusatory finger at Eddie, who sported a smirk.
“This punk?” Your dad asked, raising his voice. “You’re friends with this punk?”
Much to your dismay, Eddie spoke up again. “Dating, actually. But I can’t believe it either, Hopper, honestly.”
Even in the tensest of moments, your Eddie still finds a way to flatter you. You wanted to smile and thank him, but then you remembered he was just brought into the police station and hadn’t told you why, so you stopped yourself.
“Yeah, Dad, I am. And I know that you can’t stop me from bailing him out, so give me the form to sign.”
The officer whose desk Eddie was sitting at handed you a clipboard and a pen so you could sign and say that you would bail him out and keep him out of trouble for the time being. You flashed a cocky smile to your dad and started filling out the blanks.
Your dad rubbed his forehead like he was tired of everyone around him—which he was. “Don’t give her the clipboard until I’m done scolding her.” He mumbled.
“You know I brought him in for pissing in Lover’s Lake with his punk friends, right?”
You did not know that. But you weren’t going to let him win this round.
“Oh, like Lover’s Lake isn’t already full of piss!” You countered.
“Is that really the hill you want to die on?”
You forcefully handed the completed clipboard to the officer while rolling your eyes.
“I don’t want to die on any hill, I just want to pick up my boyfriend!”
Eddie gasped happily as the man took off his handcuffs. “She called me her boyfriend.”
You had to admit, it made you happy too. Even though you were mad at everyone in the room, your angry expression morphed into a smile. “I know, it felt good to say.” You then turned back to your dad. “I’m going now. If you have more to say to me, we can talk tonight.”
With that, you and your boyfriend started walking towards the door. He opened it for you and motioned for you to go first. You started to walk out, but shot a glare at Eddie as you walked by. He messed up and he knew it.
Before Eddie closed the door behind you, your dad shouted one last thing at you. “You know, kid, just ‘cause he’s out of trouble, doesn’t mean you are!”
You looked back at him through the doorway. “Oh, believe me, Dad, he’s not out of trouble yet!”

Eddie has never been this nervous in his entire life. And he’s fought off demobats. But here he is, still sitting in his van that’s parked in front of your house. He adjusts his hair through the rearview mirror in an attempt to tame his curls and takes a deep breath before getting out. He walks up to your front door, looking at the two flimsy bouquets in his hands. Just as he raises his fist to knock, the door swings open, revealing a very intimidating man. An intimidating man Eddie has met a couple of times: Chief Jim Hopper.
Eddie looks up at your dad, his face set in a scowl, looking Eddie up and down before he is pushed gently away. Now he is met with your smiling face and Eddie remembers to breathe again, a small smile showing on his face.
“Come in, I’m excited for you to meet my sister!”
You say, grabbing Eddie by the arm and pulling him in. You run off down the hall, leaving Eddie to look around your house. It’s cute... cozy. Eddie walks into the living room, staring at the family pictures on the wall, laughing softly to himself seeing a picture of a little you with ice cream all over your face, smiling brightly at the camera.
He then hears someone clear their throat behind him, reminding Eddie that he’s not alone.
“So,” your dad says from the kitchen. “You and my kid, huh?”
Eddie doesn’t have the courage to speak up, his throat suddenly very dry, so he just nods. Before anyone can say anything else, you walk into the living room, arm in arm with a younger girl.
“Eddie, this is my sister, El,” You smile at your sister briefly before looking back at him, “She’s the one with the superpowers everyone keeps talking about.”
Eddie walks up to the two of you, a smile on his face.
“Hi El, I’ve been wondering when I’ll meet this super cool sister Y/N keeps talking about” Eddie smiles and hands El one of the homemade bouquets in his hand. “I picked these for you.”
Eddie then turns to look at you, handing you the other bouquet, “And... these are for you.”
You smile at the bundle of flowers. A colorful bunch of wildflowers that you recognize grew on the side of the road next to the trailer park. You grab his hand and kiss his cheek, muttering a ‘thank you’ and leaving Eddie blushing.
Hop clears his throat, bringing everyone's attention back to him.
“Dinner’s ready” Hop huffs out, holding a tray of food and placing it on the dinner table. You quickly walk to help him out, after placing El’s and your flowers in watered vases. El walks to the table with Eddie, tapping his shoulder.
“Can I sit with you during dinner?” El asks, almost nervously. Eddie smiles and nods.
“Of course! It’ll be exciting to sit with a real-life superhero.”
El giggles and sits down as you and your dad bring out the last of the dinner. Once everyone is seated, plates start getting moved around and dinner officially starts. And it’s scarily quiet. Eddie keeps glancing at you from across the table, his nerves setting in whenever he feels your dad staring at hm from the head of the table.
The truth is, Hop doesn’t actually hate Eddie, despite his behavior. Sure, he’s arrested him a couple of times, but he still thought Eddie was a good kid. He knew that his childhood was rough, and he wasn’t the most popular in school, so yeah, Hop didn’t hate the kid. He remembers the first time he arrested Eddie. Little 13-year-old Eddie who got caught vandalizing the side of a building. Hop just wanted to scare him, so he drove him home after an hour of holding. Hopper wasn’t expecting Eddie to pipe up from the backseat, asking if he could keep the handcuffs. But he let him none-the-less.
But the idea of Eddie dating his kid, the idea of anyone dating his kid didn’t sit right with the old chief. He was scared that his eldest would want to spend less time with their old man, before slowly stop visiting altogether. Especially all that’s happened in the last couple of years, Hopper wanted to keep his family as close to him as possible. Even if that means scaring the poor metalhead away.
Eddie continues to eat in silence, looking at you, silently asking what to do. After a shrug in response from you, Eddie decides to try small talk, hoping to get your dad to approve of him.
“This is really good, Ho- sir, um, Mr.-” Eddie stumbles, suddenly not sure what’s appropriate to call your dad.
Hop takes a drink, raising his glass to his lips in an effort to hide his smile. He’s glad that he’s able to make the boy nervous.
“Hop is fine, kid.”
Eddie lets out a relieved sigh, seemingly not embarrassing himself completely.
From that point on dinner went by smoothly. Small conversations were made, laughs were shared, until all the food was gone, and everyone’s bellies were full. El was talking to Eddie about what he should do for his next DND campaign, telling him to mess with Mike more.
When it was time for Eddie to leave, you walked him to the door, kissing his cheek as he blushed like he always does. He says goodbye to everyone, El even giving him a hug, before he walks back to his van.
Halfway there, however, he hears the front door open again. He turns around, expecting you to be there but is surprised at the site of your dad walking towards him.
“Wait up kid, wanna talk to you real quick”
Eddie gulps, fidgeting with his rings as he anticipates what your dad will say. Eddie’s expecting ‘stay away from my kid’, ‘like I’ll ever let a freak date my child’, or anything else that’ll break Eddie’s heart.
“Are you serious about this? About dating Y/N?”
Eddie was not expecting that. Especially not expecting Hop to say it with so much care.
“Absolutely, I’ve never been more serious about anything in my life.” Eddie responds, cheeks turning red at the truthful declaration.
Hop just nods, looking at Eddie for a moment before holding his hand out to shake. Eddie stares at it for a second before moving quickly to shake it.
Hop stares at Eddie before speaking again, “Take care of them. Because if you don’t, I’ll find you”
He says this seriously, but with the ghost of a smirk on his face.
Eddie nods quickly. But he’s not that scared of the threat, knowing he could never hurt you.
Hop gives Eddie a small smile, nodding his head before moving back to the house. Eddie smiles as he gets into the van. Never in his wildest dreams did he think he could win over the chief of police, much less get his approval to date his kid.
Eddie is still grinning the rest of his drive home, planning on keeping his promise to take care of you, hopefully for the rest of his life.

i meant i'm madly in love with you
Tumblr media
✨eddie munson✨ x fem!hopper!reader <3
prompts: "are you even listening to me?" "sorry, it's hard to focus when you look like that" & "wait, you like me?" "wasn't that obvious?" "not really!"
summary: you and eddie hook up once and you get pregnant, and you have to tell your dad, which could result in nothing good.
warnings: language, mentions of sex, teen pregnancy
*everyone wanted eddie and the baby at hellfire club, so that's at the end of this imagine! this one is super long, so enjoy! (that's what she said)*
ultimate masterlist <3
-------
"I don't know if I even want you to tell me. I already know what you're going to say and I don't want to hear it." You were pacing back and forth in the bathroom of Family Video, Robin staring at the test in her hand.
"Yeah, you really don't want me to say it," Robin confirmed. "It's positive. They all are."
You sunk to the ground, putting the back of your head against the wall. You tightly closed your eyes, wishing this was a nightmare and you would wake up any second.
"This probably isn't the best time... but who's the dad? You never told me you were seeing anyone." Robin inquired.
"I'm not and I wasn't." You said, Robin understanding it was a one-time thing.
"Are you two ok in here?" Steve shouted from outside the door. You got up and opened the door. As soon as you saw him, you began to cry. He hugged you, very confused and looked at Robin for help. Robin held up the pregnancy test, and Steve's eyes went wide. "So you wouldn't go out with me, but you get pregnant with some other guy?" Steve questioned. You pulled away from the hug, hitting Steve's shoulder.
"Seriously, not the time dingus!" Robin told him.
"Oh yeah like you always say things at the appropriate time." Steve fired back.
"You both are not helping right now." You told them. "I have to go." You grabbed your stuff and headed out the door, getting into your car, and heading to the first place you needed to go.
When you got to Eddie's trailer, your hands were shaking. You could barely knock on the front door. When he immediately opened it after the first knock, you jumped back.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! What are you doing here?" Eddie questioned.
"Can we talk?"
"Yeah, come in!" Eddie stepped aside so you could enter, and you stood in the living room, playing with your hands. "Are you ok?" Eddie asked.
"Eddie, do you remember that night we had together a couple of months ago?" You asked as if he could ever forget.
"You mean the best night of my fucking life? No, doesn't ring a bell." Eddie joked.
"It's about to not be the best night of your life." You told him.
"What?"
"Eddie, I'm pregnant." You said, not knowing how else to sugarcoat the situation. Eddie just stood there, a blank stare on his face. You moved your hand in front of his face, trying to break him out of his gaze, but he didn't blink or move. "Eddie?"
"Sorry, for a second there it sounded like you said you were pregnant. Which, if you're pregnant, that means that your birth control clearly didn't kick in that day and our condom broke, which is impossible. This also means I'm going to be a dad, and I can barely take care of high school children in Hellfire! That would also mean that the girl I've liked since forever is the mother of my child after a one-night stand!" Eddie kept rambling, and you just stood there.
"Wait, you like me?" You questioned.
"Wasn't that obvious?" Eddie said.
"Not really! Especially after the 'well this was fun, see you around' comment the next morning, asshole!"
"Not my finest moment... So... what are we going to do?" Eddie hesitantly asked.
"Do you want to be apart of this baby's life?"
"Of course I do!"
"Good." You said. "Now I just have to tell my dad and pray he doesn't murder the both of us."
"You never talk about your parents," Eddie said. You both sat on the couch, Eddie holding your hands in his.
"You never looked up my last name, did you?" You asked.
"Why? Should I have?"
"Probably, yeah, before you went screwing around with the chief of police's daughter." You told him. Eddie's stare went blank again.
"As in Chief of Police Jim Hopper..."
"That would be correct."
"I am so dead. He could kill me and easily cover it up!" Eddie got up off the couch and started pacing the floor.
"How do you think I feel? Can you imagine what the town is going to say once they find out! He's going to be ruined." Eddie then realized how selfish he was being after your comment. He sat back down and pulled you in for a hug. "He is already known as the guy whose daughter died and wife left him, and now his other daughter gets pregnant at 17? He'll be a wreck."
"Hey, hey, it'll be ok, I promise! We'll figure this out, don't worry." Eddie assured you. He rubbed your back and kissed your cheek.
"I need to go tell him. Are you going to be ok?" You asked Eddie, getting up.
"Am I going to be ok? Y/N, please worry about yourself right now."
"We're in this together, Eddie. Let me worry about you too." You told him. Eddie cupped your face with his hands.
"Call me after you tell him, ok? Or should I expect a full police unit outside my house to arrest me?"
"Definitely the second option." You smiled. Eddie kissed your forehead and then walked you out to your car. You drove away, and Eddie stood there, hoping that he wasn't going to be a deadman in a couple of hours.
When you walked in the door, your dad was already sitting on his recliner, an angry look on his face. You knew that look. Mike was over.
"Love birds are here?" You joked.
"Sadly." Hopper scoffed.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" You asked.
"Yeah, is everything ok?" Your dad asked. You nodded, heading for Eleven's room.
"Hey, do you two mind going outside for a bit? I need to talk to dad alone." You told El and Mike. Mike rolled his eyes. "Don't sass me asshole. Just go outside for a bit and learn how to respect my dad and me while you're in our house." You told Mike, having enough of his shit. El huffed and dragged Mike outside.
"Finally someone told that punk how it is," Hopper said, grinning widely. You smiled at him, and took a seat across from him.
"Listen, dad. I don't know how to tell you this. I feel awful about it. You don't deserve this and what will be said about you." You started.
"What are you talking about, Y/N?"
"I'm pregnant."
Hopper just looked at you, a confused look on his face. He put the recliner down, putting his elbows on his knees, still looking into your soul.
"What, who, when, how?" Was all he asked.
"It was a one-time thing, with Eddie Munson. He's a guy from school. I was being stupid and it shouldn't have happened and I am so sorry, dad." You started crying and put your head down, not able to look at your dad.
"Thank gosh, I thought you were going to say Steve Harrington." Hopper let out.
"You obviously don't know Eddie if you're relieved it wasn't Steve." You said, quietly.
"What?"
"Nothing!"
"Is the first thing you thought of really what people would say about me?" Hopper questioned.
"Besides the 'holy shit my life is ruined' part, and how I was going to tell Eddie considering it was just a one-time thing, yes. You've been through enough. You don't need this too." You explained. Hopper lightly smiled.
"I'll be right back." Hopper nodded at you and walked out the front door, and you heard his truck start.
"Shit!" You shouted, running out of the house after him. He sped off, swerving down the road.
"What the hell did you do?" Mike questioned.
"None of your business, rat face!" You yelled at him, getting in your car and following your dad. Mike stood there, extremely offended.
You knew exactly where your dad was going. He obviously called the station and asked for Eddie's address.
When you arrived at Eddie's trailer, you got out of your car at the same time as Hopper. Eddie was sitting on the steps of his front door, standing up immediately when he saw your very angry dad.
"I told you it was the second option!" You shouted at Eddie.
"Chief Hopper! Very nice to meet you! To what do I owe the pleasure?" Eddie tried to charm. Eddie shrunk down as your dad stood in front of him, basically towering over him. He examined Eddie, completely surprised that you would be into a guy like him. He noticed the tattoos and turned to you.
"Really, Y/N." He said to you.
"I told you." You replied.
"What does that mean?" Eddie questioned. You shook your head, assuring him that it was nothing.
"Do you plan on taking care of this baby with Y/N? Because if not tell us now, hair." Your dad said to Eddie. You mouthed 'hair', questioning the nickname. It was better than freak.
"Yes, sir, I do. It may have been a one-time thing, but I care a lot about Y/N, and I would never abandon her or our baby. She is an amazing person and you have done an excellent job raising her. She gets me and she doesn't treat me like I'm some freak like everyone else does. She's incredible. And the first thing she did when she told me was how she was worried about you and me. Who does that in her situation?" Eddie told Hopper. You smiled, tears filling your eyes. Hopper nodded.
"Good answer." He turned to you. "See, told you anyone is better than Harrington." Hopper then hugged you, and got into his truck, driving away.
"What did he just say?" Eddie questioned.
"Don't worry about it." You walked closer to him. "Did you really mean all of that?" You questioned.
"Every word."
"Thank you. Now I guess we should figure this out, right?"
"Come on in. I still have your cereal." Eddie told you.
"Really?"
"When I said I care about you, I meant I'm madly in love with you." Eddie smiled.
"Shut up!" You nudged Eddie's arm, both of you going inside.
—-
A year and a half had passed since that day and you and Eddie had been exhausted by the rude awakening of being parents in high school. While you and your baby stayed at your house with Hopper and El, Eddie was there every single day and stayed every other night to help. You weren't dating, but feelings were there, definitely after seeing every day how amazing Eddie was with your son.
You were currently heading to the high school to pick up Eddie and your son from a Hellfire Club meeting. You protested Eddie bringing your son to meetings, but it made Eddie happy, so you couldn't complain.
When you walked in the door, you were greeted by the sight of Eddie lifting the baby up, shouting something about being the chosen one as the boys laughed around him. You squinted your eyes as you looked closer, noticing what your son was wearing.
"Is that a Hellfire Club shirt?" You questioned. The group looked at you, and Eddie smiled.
"Yeah! I had it special made!" Eddie exclaimed, extremely excited. You laughed and reached for your baby.
"Well, he looks adorable." You told Eddie, holding your son on your side. "Did you two have fun today?" You asked.
"Yes! Thank you for letting me bring him, mom." Eddie said, smiling.
"Any time you want, you can. As long as you don't sacrifice him."
"Eddie did that twice today!" Dustin shouted from behind you. Eddie immediately turned around and shot him daggers. Dustin got scared and looked away from Eddie.
"You are such a bad influence." You told him. Eddie smiled, then noticed your body. You had been working hard to lose the baby weight. You looked amazing, but to Eddie, you always did. "So my dad is making dinner tonight and wanted you to come since you're family now." You noticed Eddie's eyes, him clearly distracted. "Are you even listening to me?" You questioned. Eddie broke out of his stare.
"Sorry, it's hard to focus when you look like that." He told you. "Do you want to give that date a try next Friday night?" He asked. You both started smiling like idiots.
"I'd love to. Just don't get any ideas, Munson. We don't need a second one of these." You lifted up your son a little.
"Oh, your dad would for sure kill me then."
"Absolutely he would."

Positive. Fucking positive.
You throw the test against the bathroom wall, a frustrated groan escaping your lips. The past year of your life had been amazing and you thought things couldn’t get any better, and that was correct. The universe saw your happiness and decided to knock you down a peg, only this was a very big peg.
You’ve managed to keep your relationship with Hawkin’s resident metalhead, Eddie Munson, a secret for a little over year now, with only a selected few knowing. The main reason you kept it a secret was due to word traveling fast in this town, and your father being police chief Jim Hopper doesn’t help. One wrong move and the two of you would be busted, and you didn’t even want to think about what your father would do if he found out.
Although it was going to be hard hiding a baby bump for a whole nine months. Then hide the actual baby.
You felt tears pricking behind your eyes, the frustration becoming overwhelming as your mind becomes full of hundreds of scenarios that could happen. You feel a few tears trickle down your cheeks as you hug your knees close to your chest. Your dad was going to kill you or Eddie, or even both of you, and that was the last thing you wanted, especially if you didn’t get to tell Eddie about the unexpected news.
Eddie’s reaction was another you were worried about. The two of you never talked about the possibility of kids, considering you were both so young and the relationship was still being built up, even a little over a year later. Plus, you were barely out of high school and Eddie is about to start his second repeat of his senior year, so the two of you were not mature enough to raise a child, especially with Eddie’s dreams of making it big and escaping Hawkins once and for all.
“Y/N? Are you almost done? I have to use the restroom,” Your sister, El calls out from behind the door. Before you have a chance to answer, she opens the door and you let out a grunt.
“El what the fuck!” You yell out, standing up and running to where you threw the test, quickly hiding it behind your back. Her eye flicker down to your hands before looking at your eyes again.
“What is that?” She asks, pointing to behind you.
“Nothing,” you shrug. You try your best to keep a neutral face, but you know you can’t keep things from your sister. Your heart rate begins to quicken, scared of how this is all going to play out.
“Siblings don’t lie,” she tells you simply, giving you a knowing look. You roll your eyes and go to move past her, trying to get to your bedroom before she can question you further.
“That bullshit line might work on your friends, but it won’t work on me, El. Just let it go,” you tell her, turning the knob to your door, but before you can walk in she uses her powers to shut it on you. You turn to her with a glare and cross your arms.
“Please talk with me. Maybe…maybe I can help?” She asks, her features soft as she takes a step closer to you.
“El, please, can we talk about it later? I don’t need Dad hearing this conversation.”
“Why not?” Hopper asks, his figure frozen in the door way. You both turn your heads towards the door, not having heard the door even open. You slowly blink at him, feeling as if your eyes were playing tricks on you. This cannot be happening right now.
“Y/N is hiding something from me! And she looks upset so I just want to help,” El explains to him. You run your free hand over your face, a groan leaving your lips.
“Y/N? What are you hiding? You can tell us anything, you know that right?” Your father questions, taking more steps inside the cabin and closing the door behind him.
“Yeah well, not everything,” you mumble under your breath. Your father’s eyebrows shoot up in a concerned expression.
Suddenly, you watch El sneakily go behind you and grab the used test from your hands, your throat letting out a loud scream and attempt to grab it back from her, only for your father to grab it from her and hold it above his head for a moment.
You’re absolutely fucked.
He lowers the test to eye level and examines it, his eyes nearly popping out of his skull as he looks up at you. You quickly look to the floor, not wanting to be the subject of your father’s intense gaze.
“Y/N…why the fuck do you have a positive pregnancy test?” He asks, his voice low but calm, which was scarier than his yelling voice at times. Your lips are tightly pressed together, unable to form a coherent sentence to answer him.
“What does that mean? Did you pass the test?” El questions unknowingly. Part of you wanted to laugh at her question, knowing she genuinely was curious as she’s never encountered a situation like this before. You peer up at your father, his face twisted in rage, sending an unsettling feeling to the pit of your stomach.
“El, go to your room...now. Y/N, answer the goddamn question,” he demands. You watch El scurry off to her room, leaving the door open three inches as she always did.
“The test…it’s mine,” you whisper out, but loud enough for him to hear. Looking at him, you watch as he turns to the wall closest to him and slams his fist against it. Flinching, you feel yourself leaning against the door, cowering a little.
You loved your relationship with your father, the two of you always being close since you can remember. But he was strict, and you knew it was because he cared about you. Most of his rules were obtainable, but you found it unfair that El was allowed to have a boyfriend, even if your father hated him, and be out in the open with that relationship. Whereas you were not allowed the same luxury.
“How could you be so reckless?! You know you’re not even allowed to date, I assumed you knew that applied to sex as well! Like seriously, Y/N did you even think this through?” He screamed. You felt the tears begin to fall again, unable to keep the eye contact with him. “Who is this punk? I need to go set him straight.”
“No! Dad, I haven’t even told him yet, please just calm down,” you plead, walking forward towards him. Your face was full of sadness as you looked at him, but the only thing you could focus on was the disappointment etched within this face.
“Absolutely not. You’ve lost my trust and now you’re not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, I’ll make sure of it,” he yells, his face dangerously close to yours. Tears continue to roll down your face as anger bubbles in your chest.
“You’re being so unfair right now! How come its okay for El to be with Mike all the time, but I even think about having a boyfriend, and it’s the biggest crime in the world? It’s such a double standard!” You yell back. His face contorts into a surprised expression, which you were surprised about as well. You weren’t big on fighting him back on things, but this was scaring the shit out of you, and his reaction wasn’t helping the matter.
“Yeah? Well El isn’t out there having sex! Hell, I didn’t think you were either, but I guess I was wrong,” he huffs. He wipes his hand across his face and lets out a long sigh. “I just don’t understand how you could be so stupid.”
Your lip begins to wobble as you look to the floor once more, this words cutting deep. You hated being on his bad side, and having him insult you for a mistake just made you feel worse. You scurry across the room and grab your car keys from the table beside your father’s chair and make a quick escape, running to your car and opening the driver’s door.
“No, no, no! Where the hell are you going?!” Hopper shouts from the doorway. You wipe away your tears that had puddled on your cheeks, looking at him.
“I’m sorry you hate me dad, but I have to go tell the father. He deserves to know before I’m never seen by the world again.”
———————————————————————————————
Your knuckles knock against the door to Eddie’s trailer, your hands beginning to shake. Comfort was the only thing you wanted most in the world right now, your life doing a complete 180 turn just by taking a simple test. Eddie may have a tough exterior demeanor he puts on for the rest of the town, but he was a sweetheart deep down, a side of him you loved being able to see. He was a safe haven that you never knew you could need.
Eddie comes into view as the door opens, his smile stretching across his face as his eyes meet yours. You look at him with a worried expression, still visibly shaking, which he is quick to notice. He approaches you and immediately wraps his arms around your shoulders, holding you close to his body and he rubs his hands against your arms.
“Is everything alright, sweetheart?” Eddie asks as he motions you inside. You walk through the door of the trailer and into the living area, sitting on the couch as your leg bounces. Eddie swoops in and sits next to you, his hand interlocking with yours and rubbing small circles against the back of your hand. You look over at him with doe eyes, fear banging around your chest.
“M-my dad knows. About u-us,” you let out, your hand gesturing between the two of you. His eyes go wide, fear written across the once smiling face.
“I’m sorry…what?” He asks you. His thumb was still rubbing small circles on your hand, which was starting to ease your worries, but not entirely. You simply nod at him, looking down to advert his gaze as you let out a long sigh. “H-how’d he find out?”
“He found my pregnancy test,” you mumble, your eyes glued to the floor. Eddie’s movements against your hand come to a halt, his hand dropping from your own, making you look up at his eyes, which are wider than they were before, his jaw hung open.
Your throat became dry all of a sudden, the silence in the room becoming suffocating. Eddie’s eyes were locked on yours, searching for any indicator that you were joking, just fucking around and pulling his leg. You let a tear slip past the dam that had built up, shaking your head as you bury your head in your hands.
“How the hell did this happen?” Eddie finally manages to let out.
“Believe it or not Eds, the pull out method doesn’t always work,” you chuckle out, a pathetic attempt to ease the tension that lurked in the air, but you’re only met with an unamused glare from your boyfriend.
“This isn’t funny, Y/N,” he says, rising from the couch and beginning to pace in the living room. You try to hide the hurt that hits your chest at his tone when saying your name and the lack of pet name accompanying his words, shaking it out a bit. “What the fuck are we going to do? I’m not ready to be someone’s fucking father! Jesus H. Christ, I should’ve had condoms on hand at all times.”
“I don’t know, Eds. I’m j-just really fucking scared,” you tell him honestly. He shoots you a knowing look, his face emotionless.
“Yeah no shit, me too,” he stops his motions, snapping his fingers as the lightbulb above his head goes off. “W-what if you got an abortion?”
Your eyebrows raise as you look at him, shocked that it was his first suggestion. You’d be lying if you said the thought hadn’t crossed your mind, but this information was still new, you wanted to try and talk with Eddie to see what the two of you could do about this situation before thinking of that. It was really just a last resort for you.
“I-I don’t think I want that,” you answer simply. He lets out a groan and runs his hands over his face, turning away from you and hunching a bit.
“Then what the fuck do you want to do then, Y/N? We’re not ready to be parents! Shit, I’m still in goddamn high school! I can’t even think about a baby right now, plus you know about my plans to get out of this fuckin’ town-“
“Yeah Eddie, I’m fully aware of your plans. I had plans too but accidents like this happen,” you yell out. He turns back to look at you, surprised by the sudden change in tone. “I get that you’re not ready to be a parent, and I’m not either, but we’re both to blame for this shit, okay? Don’t try and put this all on me,” you stand from your seat and point a finger into his chest. He smacks it away and lets out another frustrated groan.
“I’m not putting it all on you! You’re the one who doesn’t know if they want an abortion, so I’m out of options here. I told you I don’t want to be a dad now, so I’m done!” He all but screams. You take a step back from him, shock seeping into your bones as you look at him with wide eyes.
“What do you mean ‘you’re done’?” You ask him. He shakes his head and chuckles maliciously for a second before turning to you once more.
“It means I’m done with this conversation. I’ve shared my peace, so do what you want. It’s not like I have a real say anyway,” he responds. You feel your heartstrings tug tightly, pain surging throughout your chest as you let out a deep sigh, fighting to keep any more tears from falling.
Eddie’s figure retreats into his room, slamming the door closed and quickly puts on his stereo, the volume booming and shaking the entire trailer. You hold yourself in your position for a moment, your face crumpling into a sad expression now that your boyfriend, if you should still call him that, was out of eyesight.
You will yourself to walk towards the door of his trailer and down the steps, opening your car door once more and hopping inside. You weren’t sure where you’d end up going, with the two places you felt safest and loved most tumbling down all because of an accident you didn’t mean to happen. Turning on the engine, you back out of your parking spot and drive towards the exit of the Forrest Hills trailer park, unsure of your next destination.
———————————————————————————————
The suns seeping in through the cheap motel blinds pulls you from your sleep, sitting up on the bed and stretching your arms with a yawn. You decided to not bother anyone else you were close to with the news of your unplanned pregnancy, having already severed ties with the two men in your life you loved most and not wanting to break anymore relationships. You were able to pay for a night’s stay at a motel on the outskirts of Hawkins with the money you kept on you for emergencies, now regretting that as you’d need as much money as you could get your hands on to raise a child, or an out of state stay for an abortion procedure, if it came down to it.
You quickly get dressed back in your pants from yesterday, having slept in only your shirt and underwear. You grab what little belongings you had with you and exit the room, returning the key to the front desk worker who helped you last night.
The drive back to the cabin felt shorter than it was, your mind thinking back on the events that transpired the day before and the pang of sadness flooding your system returning the closer you got back to your home. You’re not sure what’s going to happen when you walk through the door, but hopefully gathering your belongings wouldn’t cause too much damage.
Parking the car, you’re surprised to see the police vehicle still sitting in front of the cabin, making your nerves worsen as you approach the steps. Turning the knob, you walk inside and see Hopper sitting across from El, who has a blindfold on and sitting with her legs crossed on the floor. Your father turns to you and lets out a huff, tapping El on the knee to tell her to stop her motions. She removes her blindfold and her face lights up at the sight of you, making you feel a bit better about the situation.
“Hi,” you let out, a small wave accompanying your words. El waves back to you and stands, running over and wrapping her arms around you. You return the gesture and cross your arms around her shoulders, resting your chin on top of her head.
“Where were you last night kid?” Your father asks, now standing with his arms crossed on the other side of the room. You retreat from El and cross your arms as well, looking to the floor to avoid his disappointed gaze.
“I slept at a motel, but it seems you might've figured that out,” you reply as you gesture to El, who has a nervous smile on her face after being called out for using her powers. You feel El’s hand rub your back softly, sending her a slight smile before peering up to your father’s eyes.
“You didn’t have to do that,” he tells you simply.
“Felt like I did.”
“Just because I’m upset about what happened, doesn’t mean I don’t love you and don't want you at home, where it is safe. I was just…shocked to hear it all at once. You’re dating, having…intercourse, and now having a baby? It was a lot to take in yesterday, and my temper got the best of me. I didn’t mean to scare you off,” he explains to you. Your face softens as you listen to him, the sadness from yesterday beginning to feel slightly better.
“Thanks Dad,” you say. You walk closer to him and wrap your arms around his torso, burying your head in his chest. He snakes his arms around your shoulders and kisses the top of your head. You feel a surge of emotions rush throughout your system. “I’m really scared.”
“I know, I know kiddo. But El and I will be here for you, whatever you want to do, okay?” he pulls back a little and looks you in the eyes. He wipes your tears away with his hand and you smile. El comes by you guys and joins your hug, sending you into a fit of giggles as you all embrace each other.
The three of you hang out for the rest of the day, talking about your options and later playing card games to help distract you from the whole scenario. Your father asked about the father once again, but when he saw your expression and change in body language when bringing it up, he didn’t harp on the matter any further.
After retreating off to your own room, you put on a cassette tape in your room on a low volume before sitting on your bed, the door open three inches like your father always requests. You pull open a notepad and begin making a list of pros and cons of your options regarding the child growing inside you currently, trying to think quickly on a definitive decision on this life changing situation you’ve been dealt.
A light tapping sound pulls you from your motions, looking outside your bedroom window to see the silhouette of Eddie waving his hand timidly. You roll your eyes and go back to your list, only to be met with more intense tapping. You toss the list aside and go over to your window, lifting it enough to see him in the light of your bedroom.
“What do you want Eddie?” You ask him, crossing your arms. He lets out a sigh and points to inside your room, making you shake your head. “He’s home, so that definitely wouldn’t be the best idea. Considering our new predicament as well…”
“Fine, um…how about you meet me on your porch stairs?” He suggests, his eyes wide but soft as they look at you. You nod and shut the window, making an escape from your bedroom and walking past your dad in the living room, catching a glimpse of whatever show he was watching while lounging in his recliner. You open the front door and shut it quickly, seeing Eddie’s figure dash from behind the cabin. You sit down on the steps and let out a sigh as he joins you.
“How are you? Everything going okay with you and, uh…it?” He questions, pointing towards your stomach. You roll your eyes once more and look towards him.
“Yep, as good as it can be,” you answer simply. You play with your hands and look down towards your feet, the insects around you filling the silence that began to loom about you two.
“I’m really sorry about yesterday, Y/N,” he tells you, his voice coming out quiet and sincere. You look over at him with a sympathetic smile, his lips curving into one as well. “I was just so scared and I didn’t know how to let my feelings be known. A shit childhood can stunt you like, believe it or not.”
You giggle at his attempt to ease the tension, knowing that it can be difficult for him to express how he feels at moments. He’s never been given a chance to be treated right or brought up to know what’s good and bad, not until he was placed in Wayne’s care, but it’s hard to mold and condition a brain that’s nearly fully developed.
“I get that, Eds, I do. But I was scared too. Got yelled at by my dad and embarrassed in front of El? It just felt really bad coming over to you for comfort but finding the exact opposite,” you explain to him. You watch him nod and reach out for you, closing the space between you and resting your head on his shoulder, his hand rubbing the arm snaked around you.
“I know baby, I really am sorry. If it helps, Wayne tore me a new one today after I explained it all to him. He really wasn’t happy with the way I treated you, which kinda helped me pull my head out of my ass and come here to apologize,” he reveals. You laugh and reach for his free hand, interlocking your fingers with his.
“That kind of does help actually,” you tell him with a smile. His laugh causes his entire body to move, shaking you a bit as well.
“So…how are things with your dad? He still upset?”
“He probably is, but we spent the day talking about what my options are, and he said he and El will be there for me no matter what I decide to do,” you answer him.
“Well you can add me to that list, sweetheart. I promise I’ll be on board with whatever you decide, and we’ll get through it together, alright?” He lifts you gently from his shoulder to look you in the eyes, his chocolatey orbs glistening in the moonlight. You nod your head softly and press your lips to his, inhaling the scent of his leather jacket and cigarette breath.
“YOU NEVER TOLD ME THE FATHER WAS THE FUCKING MUNSON KID!” Your father shouts from the door way. The two of you pull away from one another with wide eyes and Eddie all but jumps to his feet off the porch, making you giggle just a bit.
“Hey Chief, hope you’re doing well. I really like your daughter sir, but I’m gonna-gonna go now. Love you Y/N, see ya later sweetheart!” He rushes out, sprinting towards his van as your father runs down the stairs in an attempt to catch him, all while you and El, who had been standing behind your dad, sit back on the porch laughing at the two boys.

(ur welcome for perv!eddie <3 he exists bc of perv!muerta lmao. also i took some liberties and aged everyone up bc i'm grown and love to self indulge. and i also made it hopper!reader bc it's my party and i'll cry if i want to)
18+ minors don't look
You don't mind still living with your family. Your little siblings are cool, your dad doesn't charge you rent (which is important when you're saving money to move across the country), and your stepmom makes a kickass casserole.
The only thing that sucks is living across the street from Jason Carver, the dickhead jock from your high school years who moved in a few months ago with his newlywed bride. They aren't bad neighbors, and his wife is actually very nice (which makes you feel sorry for her, having to be married to that monster), you just fucking hate him. He used to call you fat and write rude graffiti about you in bathroom stalls, and he once felt you up in the crush to leave the gym after a pep rally.
Not to mention the time he rallied an angry mob to try and lynch your boyfriend.
The same boyfriend who's still very much alive, leaned over the front of your car with his hair knotted at the nape of his neck, trying to figure out why you can't start your engine. You lean against the driver's side door and just gaze at him, admiring the sheen of sweat that sticks his fringe to his brow and the poke of his tongue between his lips, the furrow of concentration on his face.
God, he's sexy. And god, you can't wait to get out of Hawkins and have him all to yourself.
"You're eyefucking me again," Eddie drawls, leaning into the car to poke at something.
"And you hate it so much you wore a crop top to stop me," you tease.
He smirks, glancing up at you through his lashes.
"We're gonna have to tow it to the shop," he announces, pulling his bandana from his back pocket to wipe his hands clean of grease. "Don't have the right tools here."
You groan, rolling back onto the door.
"That's gonna seriously cut into our moving budget," you whine. "Can't you just use duct tape or something?"
Eddie chuckles as he strolls to your side, wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you in for a kiss.
"The owner of Smith's Towing owes me a favor," he tells you. "I'll see if I can call it in. And you know you can always pay me in head..."
You giggle, taking his face in your hands as he leans in for another kiss, tongue swiping at your lower lip. You're just about to start sucking serious face, maybe even grope him through his jeans, when your friendly neighborhood psychopath takes it upon himself to ruin the mood.
"I'm surprised she lets you kiss her looking like that, Munson," Jason jeers from across the street, having just come back from a run. "You look like a fuckin' pussy in that getup."
Eddie sneers, grumbling under his breath before putting on his best "fuck you, too" smile and raising his middle finger at him, tucking you in close to his hip.
"I'm surprised your wife lets you kiss her with that nasty ass mouth," you quip back. "Bet you taste real bitter."
If there's one thing you'll never not enjoy, it's Jason Carver seething over the fact that you, a little helpless woman, always have the wits to shut him up.
"My wife wouldn't be caught dead with a man like that," he spits. "If you can even call him that, with his hair like that."
"What, your wife didn't tell you?" Eddie chimes in. "Women like to see your face when you eat them out. That poor girl probably hasn't had an orgasm in her life. Least not from you."
Jason's on him in a flash, crossing the pavement in a matter of three strides and grabbing Eddie by the collar of his shirt. You're between them before either can throw a punch, grabbing a wrench from Eddie's open tool kit and holding it to Jason's face.
"Knock it off, jackasses," you snap. "You're grown fucking men. Get a grip."
Eddie relaxes, holding up his hands and taking a step back. Jason spits onto the sidewalk, also moving away.
"Listen to your whore, Munson," he mutters. "Too weak to keep the little bitch in line."
Eddie snaps. He pushes past you before you have time to react, taking Jason by the throat and landing a blow to the man's cheek. The rings on his fingers hit like brass knuckles. You manage to get a hold of him before he can do much damage, Eddie spitting in Jason's face as you haul him backward.
"You talk about her like that again and it's your life, Carver," Eddie growls. "You hear me? I'll rip you to fucking shreds."
The threat is so serious it startles even you.
Jason wipes the blood from his face onto his sleeve, eyes wide with terror as he scuttles up his driveway and through his front door. Eddie stretches his fingers, knuckles raw from the force of his punches.
"Way to not look like a murderer, Eddie," you deadpan.
"That fucker already thinks I am," he hisses. "Might as well scare him off. He speaks to you like that again, I'll kill him. And your dad'll help me hide the body."
You want to argue but you can't. Jim Hopper would hide a body if it were the body of a man who insulted you.

“Y/N, you need to help me!” El proclaimed as she walked into your room, leaving the door wide open because your Dad wasn’t home, he was at work. Immediately, you lowered the volume of the music and put your book aside, laying it face down on your bed.
“What’s wrong, pumpkin?” You couldn’t even remember when you’d started calling her that, but it had stuck, because she’d liked it. It always reminded her of fall, of Halloween, when the two of you carved pumpkins with Hopper - a tradition El had quickly learned to love.
“It’s Dad.” She heaved a sigh and sat down next to you on the bed. It had been just you and Hopper until El had appeared, but you’d quickly opened your heart to her, made her part of your family. She was your sister, and you introduced her like that to everyone.
“What did he do this time?” Oh, Hopper was protective, always had been, and you still remembered how he scared your first boyfriend away with all his questions. In the end that had been better for you, because that lying, cheating bastard hadn’t deserved your time of day. Still, in that moment, you’d been so angry with your father that you hadn’t talked to him for nearly a week. He always wanted what was best for you and El, but sometimes, he had questionable methods.
“That stupid three inch rule he has for one.” El leaned back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. “And he always interrupts and calls Mike’s Mum to tell her he’ll pick me up. I’m not a child anymore!”
That much was true, but you still had to chuckle. He’d had that three inch rule since you could remember, even though you hadn’t really brought that many guys home, at least not boyfriends, but he’d made sure that the door stayed open even when you’d only had a friend over to study for a test together.
“You’re lucky he actually likes Mike. You don’t want to know what he’s like when he doesn’t like the guy you’re going out with.”
“Why?”
“Because he goes full on cop-mode on that poor guy. I mean, in the end it was good, because Trevor had been lying to me the whole time.” You shrugged your shoulders, because it had been quite some time ago, and every guy after that hadn’t really seen your home. You’d done your best to keep your dates away from your home, but Hopper had found out nonetheless. Oh, all the talks you’d had with him, but they’d at least paved the way for El a little bit. You hoped.
“Mike is not lying to me.”
“I wasn’t implying that. I know that Mike is a good guy.” You really did. You’d known him for years now, and the way he looked at El was the way you wanted someone to look at you one day. Not that you were actively looking, because you were completely content without a boyfriend by your side - especially because most guys were rather superficial and just wanted to get you in the sheets.
“We can’t even go and watch a movie without him waiting for me as soon as the movie is over.” El pushed herself up on her elbows, her eyes on you. “Can you help me? Get him off my back?”
“I might have an idea.” Slowly, a grin started forming on your lips. You loved your sister enough to help her, and in addition you could play a little prank on your Dad. But therefore, you needed someone else, and that would probably take a little bit of convincing.
“Really?”
“Yeah… but we need Mike for this and we have to talk to his friend Eddie Munson.” You knew Eddie, but not that well, but you knew the rumours - and you also knew how much of that was true - and Hopper knew about them as well. So coming home with Eddie Munson by your side would definitely take your father’s focus off your sister.
“What do you want to talk to Eddie about?” El scrunched up her nose, her eyes fixed on you. The way you grinned at her, though, made her slowly realise what was going on. “Oh… Oh!”
And that was what brought you here, to Eddie’s trailer, Mike in tow. It was still warm enough to sit outside, at least as long as the sun was out. Once the sun was gone, you’d need a sweater, but you always had one in your car just in case.
“You’re kidding, right?” Eddie asked with a laugh, shaking his head, after you’d told him your idea.
“No, we’re completely serious!” Mike looked at Eddie, El’s hand clutched in his. These two were desperate, you could tell, and it wasn’t because they wanted to sneak away to do whatever… it was all so innocent.
“Would it be so bad to pretend to go out with me?” You chuckled to cover up insecurities that were bubbling up. At least your words managed to shut him up. Eddie looked you over, before he started to smile again.
“That’s definitely not it. I mean, it’s more that nobody would believe that someone like you is actually going out with the likes of me.” Eddie winked at you, covering up his own insecurities with that. He knew what people saw when they looked at him, and it was okay. He’d grown accustomed to that, because he had a couple of people in his life who knew him, who liked him for who he was.
“Well, but what if that’s exactly the kind of guy I like?” you challenged, crossing your arms beneath your breasts. “I haven’t dated anyone in a while because I don’t want one of these stuck up idiots that are overwhelmed when you ask them what the last book they read was. And then they answer with something like does this or that sports magazine count?” You rolled your eyes, because you’d really had these conversations.
Eddie looked at you for a moment, his lips slowly curving up into a smile. He liked your answer, liked the way you’d just described the majority of the guys here.
“Fair enough,” he said, trying to hide the smile behind his hair. “On one condition… Mike, you’ll take care of cleaning the room when we’re done with Hellfire for let’s say… two months.”
“Deal!” Mike pretty much jumped at this, grinning like a lovesick teenager - which he was - because this hopefully meant that he’d be able to spend some time alone with El, without Hopper waiting around every corner.
“So… what do you need from me, sweetheart?” Eddie focused his whole attention on you now, taking a step closer. After all, if you were going to pretend to be dating, you’d need to get accustomed to each other, get used to being close to each other.
“I need you to face my Dad,” you said with a laugh, because you knew just how many guys were afraid of him.
“So, you need me to piss him off?”
“More or less. Though I think just the fact that we’re dating will be enough to get his attention of these two.” You cast a quick look at El and Mike who were already deep in conversation again, before you turned back to Eddie. “He knows all the rumours about you, so that will be enough. Not that I believe all that’s being said about you, couldn’t care less about some stupid rumours people put out there because they’re not happy with their own lives and need to put others down to not deal with their own problems… But he knows about them and he’ll keep a close watch on you when we’re together.”
“Mhm,” Eddie hummed, his grin growing bigger the more you talked.
“I’m rambling, aren’t I?” You asked, shaking your head, because you knew that you could talk a mile a minute when you got agitated, and the people of Hawkins with all their prejudices really managed to bring that to light.
“Don’t worry, it’s cute!” Eddie cocked his head to the side, reaching for your hand. He was impressed with what you’d just said, because you’d said just what he was thinking about Hawkins, about the people here. “So, when do we start this?”
Eddie pulled you a little closer by the hand and you smiled. It was unusual, but it felt good, even though this wasn’t real. It was just pretend, like everything else that would happen between you from now on. You had no idea how far you’d take this, how much you needed to do to convince Hopper, though you were pretty sure that it was enough to show up with Eddie at your cabin.
“Tonight? We could go watch a movie, my treat. You pick me up and take me back home? Hopper should finish work in a bit, so he’ll be home when you pick me up. Only if you’re free of course.”
Eddie chuckled, before he raised his head to look at the sky. “Let me check…” Then he looked back at you. “I can make that happen. Pick you up at seven. And wear something nice!” He said it with a wink that made you smile. Of course you’d planned on dressing up for the occasion, because you Dad needed to get the right picture.
While El was preparing dinner with Hopper, you got ready to go out. You’d chosen a dress that didn’t reveal too much, just the right amount, showing off a bit of cleavage, and you’d opted for some red lipstick that went with the colour of the dress.
“Oh you look so pretty!” El immediately said with a smile when you entered the kitchen. It brought a smile to your lips, and you remembered that you wanted to show El a thing or two about makeup the next time you did this. You usually didn’t wear a lot of makeup, but it was good for the effect you wanted to achieve.
“Thanks, pumpkin!”
“Where’re you going dressed like… that?” Hopper scanned your outfit before his eyes bored into yours.
“I’m going on a date.” Your outfit was not the least bit inappropriate, you weren’t a kid anymore, so he couldn’t tell you what to wear. If he could, he’d probably shove a big ugly sweater at you that hid your whole body.
“What date?” That got his attention, drew it away from the outfit you were wearing. A good sign.
“I’m going to watch a movie with Eddie.”
“Eddie who?”
“Does it really matter? Dad, I’m nineteen!”
“Of course it matters!” He got up from the chair where he’d been cutting up vegetables to walk over to you. “So…?”
“Eddie Munson.” You crossed your arms and didn’t look away.
“Oh hell nah! You’re not going out with that guy.” Hopper shook his head violently, and you had to do your best not to laugh, because this was just the reaction you’d predicted. El was watching in amusement, only because Hopper couldn’t see her.
“Yes I am.” You could hear the car pull up in front of the cabin. “And I am leaving now!”
“Y/N! He’s trouble!”
“Well, maybe I like a little trouble.” You had the audacity to smirk at him, before you grabbed your keys and pretty much bolted out of the door and ran towards Eddie’s van.
“Hello sweetheart,” he greeted you, because he’d just gotten out of the car to pick you up at the door, but that was apparently not what you wanted.
“Get in and let’s go!” You commanded him and quickly got in the car, because you heard the front door open behind you again.
“Y/N!” Hopper yelled after you, stepping out onto the porch.
“Oh shit,” Eddie mumbled and followed your orders. Before Hopper could get to the car, the two of you were on your way to the cinema.
“What did you tell him?” Eddie asked on the way.
“Just that I’m going out with Eddie Munson.” You turned in your seat to look at him. “And then I kinda went gotta go and bolted for the door.” A chuckle followed your words.
“He really thinks that highly of me, yeah?”
You could see the corners of his lips twitch up only for a moment, but then his lips set in a firm line. He was used to people assuming the worst about him, but sometimes, it still hurt.
“It’s not exactly that.” You reached out your hand to lay it on his forearm, give him some reassurance. “He’s just extremely protective of us. He’s usually not someone who believes in a lot of rumours, but when it comes to his daughters, he’ll listen to everything people say just to figure out if it’s true or not to protect us. He scared my ex boyfriend off with his behaviour. I mean, I’m glad he did, because I didn’t need that rat bastard in my life cheating on me, but I guess that’s one reason why I didn’t date that much after that.”
“Makes sense… I mean that he wants to protect you.” Eddie could get behind that, figuring that Hopper was someone who did everything for the ones he loved, and that included checking out the guys you went out with. “What’s another reason?”
“Well… I already told you that I think most of these guys are extremely superficial.” And that annoyed the hell out of you, because they judged others by what they wore, by their outer appearance, and didn’t care one bit about the person. “And when I tell them that I want to go on adventures one day just like Bilbo did seemingly out of the blue, you can see their eyes popping out of their heads because they have no idea what I’m talking about.”
“Or it’s because they think you want to go on an adventure with a couple of bearded men and a wizard.” Eddie chuckled, but his answer made you look over at him again, surprise written all over your face.
“You’ve read the Hobbit!” Excitement was audible in your voice, because you hadn’t found anyone to talk to about this so far.
“Sure have. And The Lord of the Rings… not just once.”
“Finally someone who knows just how good these books are. I mean, I still need to read the last one, but I love them already.” And you’d read The Hobbit three times now, because it alway catapulted you into a completely different world. Because it was written as a children’s book, it was easier to read than the other ones, but you loved them all equally.
“I can say the same. I haven’t met anyone who’s read them all. Gareth started but alway complained because they were too descriptive, so he stopped halfway into the first one.” Which was a shame, but Eddie couldn’t force him to read a good book.
You kept on talking about the books until you were at the cinema. You really enjoyed the movie, and so did Eddie, because you kept talking about it animatedly on your way back. Once he parked the car, though, you felt your pulse pick up, because the lights were still on - just like you’d expected.
“Come on, I’ll walk you to the door,” Eddie offered, opening his door.
“Are you sure? You don’t have to.” Because you didn’t know how Hopper would react, what he would do. It would be a shame if he just chopped off Eddie’s head now that you were getting to know him, and realised that you had a lot more in common than you’d expected.
“Of course. This is a date after all, right?” Eddie winked at you through the open door, before he walked around the car to take your hand and lead you to the door.
“I had a really great evening. I mean it!” You still held his hand, smiled up at him, because this had been the best date you’d ever had, even though it wasn’t a real date. But you could say that it was going out with a friend maybe.
“So did I.” And Eddie wasn’t even surprised, because you were an interesting person, easy to talk to, and didn’t give a shit about everything people said about him. Eddie leaned forward, raised his hands to brush your hair away from your ear. “And you look really nice in that dress…” His breath tickled your ear, making you shiver involuntarily. “Hot even…” He grazed his lips over your cheek, but then the door flew open.
You jumped, because you hadn’t expected it to happen right that moment, but your Dad always had impeccable timing.
“It’s late,” he simply said, arms crossed over his chest, eyes staring daggers into Eddie, and he didn’t even glance at you.
“We came here right when the movie was over. I could have stayed away all night if I wanted to.” You rolled your eyes, but weren’t sure whether Hopper was even listening to you.
“Evening Mr Hopper,” Eddie said, grin still in place. He was intimidated by Hopper, but he would do his best not to let the man see it.
“Get inside!” Now, Hopper looked at you, pointed with his thumb behind himself.
“Alright…” You went to take Eddie’s leather jacket off that he’d given you after the cinema because it had gotten a little cold.
“No, no, keep it till our next date.”
You could swear that you heard a growl from Hopper, but he didn’t move.
“Thank you.” You put your hand on Eddie’s shoulder for leverage, then leaned in to kiss his cheek. “You better go before we get inside, otherwise he’ll give you a talk.” You whispered the words into his ear, making him chuckle. But he followed your advice and got going, waving to you from the van before he drove home.
“What is this, y/n?”
“It was a date, and a great one at that, thank you very much.” You walked past Hopper, who followed you, closing the door behind you.
“You realise that I’m just worried about your well-being, right? Because I love you!”
“Dad…” Your sigh was followed by a smile and you stepped up to him. “I know… But Eddie is the first guy that doesn’t look at me like I’m crazy because I read fantasy books. We actually have a lot to talk about, a lot in common. He’s not as bad as people say he is.” Honest words, because you’d really enjoyed your time together. Not just because everything you’d talked about, but also because Eddie had been the perfect gentleman for the whole evening.
“Right…” Hopper ran a hand over his face before he sighed. “I’ll still keep an eye on him!”
“I know you will.” You leaned up to kiss his cheek before you walked to your room. “Night Dad! Love you!”
“Love you too, kiddo.” He did, he really did, but right now, he didn’t know whether to shake you or lock you up to keep you from making stupid decisions like dating Eddie Munson.
Your next date happened a couple of days later. Of course, your Dad had tried to talk to you about Eddie, had asked you whether you really thought that it was a good idea to go out with him, but you’d told him that you really liked Eddie, and enjoyed spending time with him, that he was the most interesting guy that you’d met in this god-forsaken town - and that was true, because while you weren’t really dating, you still spend time together even when Hopper couldn’t see it. Because Eddie and you had a lot in common, conversation flowed easily between the two of you, and he made you smile and laugh so much that you found yourself looking forward to seeing him more and more each day.
Today, Eddie would spend some time at your cabin so that he’d be there once Hopper got home. At least your plan worked, because El was able to spend time with Mike without Hopper being on their backs the whole time, and even when Mike was here, he didn’t check up on them every five minutes. Sure, the three-inches-rule was still active, but they had a lot more time to themselves than before.
“I actually have an idea what we can do,” Eddie said once the door was closed behind him, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.
“Judging by the look on your face…”
“Nah, it’s completely innocent, I promise!” Eddie pulled a book from his backpack and held it up for you to read the title. “Since you said you hadn’t started the third book I thought we could read it together.”
“Oh!” That was a surprise, but it definitely made you smile. “I’d love that! It’s been a while since someone read to me.”
“Thought so… And I got you something else.” He reached into the backpack again and presented a Hellfire Shirt to you. “I made you your own shirt… I mean, if you’re my girlfriend, you should have one, right?”
“Are you serious?” Your eyes lit up when you took the shirt from him. You pressed it to your chest, before you leaned over to him and kissed his cheek. “This is great!” Such a wonderful idea, but that also made your heart beat a little faster. Not that this meant anything of course.
You walked with him to your room, pulled your own shirt over your head on the way, giving Eddie a glimpse of your bra. You didn’t think anything of it, but you just wanted to swap your own shirt for the one he’d given you, so you pulled that over your head right away.
Eddie’s eyes were fixed on your back in the moment, on the skin that looked you soft and begged to be touched, but he quickly shook his head. This was just pretend, right? Didn’t mean that he couldn’t enjoy it, enjoy your presence, talking to you and whatever would happen. But it meant that this was just for some time and not forever, so he had to remind himself of that every now and again, before he really fell in love with you.
“How do I look?” you asked as you twirled around to him, a big smile on your face.
“Ravishing!” Eddie dropped his backpack, eyes fixed on you. Heat rose to your cheeks, because you hadn’t expected that kind of answer from him. “You really look like my girl now.”
My girl… It sounded so good, but you couldn’t allow yourself to get used to it. This wasn’t real after all, but you already knew that you didn’t want to let him out of your life again, keep him as a friend of course.
“It’s really cosy here… I like the decor.” Eddie looked around, a grin on his face. You’d really made it your room, had put up quite a lot of photos on your walls, from your family, friends, parties you’d attended. Eddie stopped in front of some pictures from your last Christmas, El, Hopper and you smiling like idiots with a big cake in front of you, Santa and his reindeer on top of that.
“El wanted a real christmassy cake, and she loves reindeer, so I made that for her.” A fond smile was playing on your lips, because you loved your sister so much, both of them. It had been a lot of work, but it had been worth it.
“You made that?” The astonished look on Eddie’s face made you giggle. “That’s impressive!”
“Thank you. It’s a lot of fun actually… Exhausting, but baking is soothing for the soul. At least for me.”
“So, if I ask reeeeeaaaal nice, will you make me a cake for my birthday?”
“Mhhh I could maybe arrange something. I already have an idea.”
“You gonna tell me?”
“Nope. You’ll just have to wait.” You winked at him before you got on your bed, patting the spot beside you so that he would join you. “But you’re a clever boy, I think you’ll figure out what kind of theme I have in mind.” Especially considering what you’d talked about most, and what you were about to read.
“Maybe,” Eddie said with a grin before he joined you. He took off his shoes so that he wouldn’t get your sheets dirty, then he scooted up so that he could rest his back against the pillows and get comfortable.
As soon as he’d opened the book, though, you changed your position and lay down, resting your head in his lap. When your Dad came back, that would look more convincing than both of you just sitting next to each other, bodies barely touching. Of course, you’d left the door open a bit, because you didn’t want to break your Dad’s rules, even though he wasn’t even home yet.
“Is that okay?” you asked when you felt Eddie stiffen slightly. Maybe you should have asked beforehand.
“Perfect. Was just a little surprised.” Eddie’s smile reassured you, but it also did things to you that you didn’t want to think about too much.
“Okay… but you need to tell me if something’s not okay with you, right?” You had to make sure that he knew that, because you didn’t want him to feel uncomfortable in any way.
“I don’t think you could do anything to make me feel uncomfortable, sweetheart, but the same goes for you. ‘Kay?”
“Yeah, but you’re making me feel really safe with you, so I think I’ll be alright.” You’d thought that from the first moment on, and you had to let him know.
“Good.” Eddie cleared his throat before he opened the book to the first page. Your confession had flustered him a little, but he tried to get some distraction from the book now. “Pippin looked out from the shelter of Gandalf’s cloak. He wondered if he was awake or still sleeping, still in the swift-moving dream in which he had been wrapped so long since the great ride began.”
As soon as he started reading, you closed your eyes. Eddie’s voice was soothing and enthralling at the same time, especially when he made different voices for different characters. He held the book in one of his hands, while the other started playing with your hair, gently massaging your scalp now and then. It had surprised you at first, because it was such an intimate gesture, but you found yourself really enjoying this. It felt good, familiar even though it was the first time the two of you were this close.
The front door opened and then closed with a loud noise. Yep, Hopper had seen Eddie’s van outside of the cabin and he all but stormed towards your room, ready to tell you again about his rules, but he couldn’t say anything, because the door wasn’t fully closed. Still, he shoved it open and stared at the two of you.
“What are you doing?” His eyes scanned your room, your body, and he was relieved to find you still dressed. He trusted you, he just didn’t trust the guys around you, especially not Eddie Munson.
Slowly, you opened your eyes and sat upright. Eddie had nearly gotten you into some trance like state listening to his voice, but that was over now.
“Reading? What does it look like?” You leaned up against Eddie, put your hand on his thigh.
“Reading… That’s what you call it now?” Hopper filled the whole door frame when he crossed his arms, trying his best to calm his own breathing.
“Yes. Reading.” Eddie held up the book he was holding, putting his free hand on top of yours to keep it in place. “Y/N said she hasn’t read The Return of the King yet, so I thought we could read it together.”
“Right…” Hopper sighed, but he narrowed his eyes at Eddie. “And I won’t find any drugs if I search your stuff?”
“Dad!” you gasped, making a move to get off the bed, but Eddie held you back.
“No, you won’t.” Eddie stayed completely calm, and his presence calmed you as well. “No drugs anywhere here. Just my cigarettes.” And that was something Hopper couldn’t say anything against.
“Alright.” Hopper cast a glance at Eddie’s backpack, but thought better of it. After all, he trusted you and he didn’t want to overstep this line. “But the door stays open.”
Eddie stayed for another hour, but then he said that he had band practice, and you didn’t want him to miss that.
“Next time, you read to me, alright?” Eddie said at the door, leaning towards you to kiss your cheek. A real kiss would have made your father believe this even more, but it didn’t feel right.
“Sounds like a plan.”
“Goodbye Mr. Hopper!” Eddie called out to your Dad, but only got a grunt in response, because Hopper was glad when Eddie was gone now. He’d been staring at your door pretty much the whole time, and with Eddie’s departure, he’d be able to relax a little bit.
The next weekend, Eddie spent time at your cabin again. This time, you wanted to cook dinner together, surprise your Dad with that, and have dinner together. El would come home with him as well, so you were cooking for four people. Eddie had made you a mix-tape that was playing in the background. It was a mixture of his music and yours.
“What do you need me to do?” Eddie asked, pushing up the sleeves of his shirt. “I need instructions, ‘cause I don’t really cook.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll teach you.” You laid out the vegetables, a cutting board and a knife. Eddie Could take care of chopping everything up for the salad while you took care of the chicken. “You have to cut them into small squares.”
“Do they have to be the same size? All of them?” Eddie took the knife in his hand, hoping for a moment that he could stare the vegetables down so that they’d just fall into pieces by themselves, but that wouldn’t work.
“Of course not,” you said with a laugh. “Just bite-sized I would say.”
“Alright. I can probably do that. I’ll try.” And he did. He started with the first bell pepper, his tongue sticking out between his lips in concentration. He took his time, because he wanted to do it correctly and not cut his own finger off. Meanwhile you were ready with preparing the chicken breasts and put them in the oven.
“That looks good!” You leaned over to look at his work, making Eddie chuckle.
“You think so?”
“For someone who doesn’t usually cook, it really does!” You stole a piece of the pepper and popped it into your mouth. “You just need to hold the knife a little differently, that makes it easier. Here, let me.”
You ducked beneath his arm to stand in front of him, your back against his chest. You could feel the heat radiating off him, seeping into your own skin. Your heart reacted immediately, picking up its pace. On the one hand, you didn’t want this, because this was just make believe, but on the other hand, you wanted to know if you were really developing feelings for him. Your own reaction right now, the urge to lean into him more and relish the feeling of being this close to him, spoke volumes.
“Here.” You put your hand on top of Eddie’s, adjusted his grip and then moved his hand to cut the cucumber. “Can you feel how easy this is in comparison to before?”
“Mhm,” Eddie hummed, his head now right next to yours, his chin resting on your shoulder. The hand that wasn’t occupied with cutting up vegetables came around your body, holding you to his chest, his fingers splayed out over your stomach. “You’re a good teacher.” He turned his head towards you, his nose brushing your cheek, before you could feel his lips against it.
“You’re a quick learner,” you contered, a smile spreading on your lips, while your hand stopped moving with his. Eddie put the knife down, before he put his hand on your waist to slowly turn you around to him. Your hands ended up on his shoulders, your heart in your throat by now, and you didn’t trust yourself to say a word.
“Y/N…” his eyes dropped to your lips, but before he could do or say anything else, the door opened.
“Y/N! We’re back!” El exclaimed, the biggest grin on her face that grew even wider when she saw Eddie and you together like this. You quickly scrambled out of his embrace, but Hopper had already seen the two of you together. Which was perfect! At least it should be, because it was proof just how much you liked Eddie, how serious this was, right? Right. And that was the problem for you. This was supposed to be a pretend relationship, not a real one, but your heart had already gone down that road, otherwise it wouldn’t be hammering in your chest. And your skin wouldn’t be tingling everywhere. But what did Eddie think? All of a sudden, this was becoming a bit too real.
“What’s going on here?” Hopper took off his hat, eyes fixed on your flushed face.
“We’re making dinner,” Eddie chipped in, leaning his hip against the counter. “Thought we’d surprise you.”
“Hm.” Hopper nodded, looking from Eddie back to you. “Smells good already.” He didn’t address the situation, just went on to get changed.
“How are things with Mike?” You asked El before she could ask you about what she’d just walked into. You knew that she was capable of something like that, and you didn’t really have an answer. Not one that you wanted to say out loud anyway.
“Good.” El put down her bag and went to set the table. Eddie was busy chopping the rest of the vegetables, grin still in place. “He’s really happy, and I think Dad is getting more… okay with the situation.” Hopper would always have an eye on the guys in his daughters’ lives, but he knew he had to let go eventually.
“I’m happy for you, pumpkin!” You pulled your sister into a hug, glad that your plan had worked.
“Thank you!”
“Set the table, wash your hands, and then we’ll be able to eat, I think.” Eddie was done with the veggies, so you just had to get the dressing ready and the chicken out of the oven, and you were good to go.
Conversation flowed easily over dinner, though Hopper didn’t talk much. He listened in while enjoying the meal you’d cooked. Eddie and El were talking most of the time, and it was heartwarming to see them get along so well. Not that it should matter in the end, but you really enjoyed watching them together. Eddie told her about the next campaign he was planning for Hellfire, but made her promise not to tell Mike anything, a little secret between the two of them.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and even your Dad managed a smile of two. But after dinner, it was time for Eddie to leave, because he didn’t want to impose on you, give you some family time. He was always very considerate, which was something your Dad definitely hadn’t expected, and when he offered to walk Eddie out, you wanted to protest, but Eddie said that it was okay. He leaned over to you to kiss your cheek before he waved at your sister.
“I’ll see you tomorrow!” Eddie gave you a wink before he put his shoes back on and walked outside, jangling the car keys in his hands. Hopper made sure to close the door behind them, because he didn’t want either of you to listen in on his conversation with Eddie.
“So, you’re giving me the talk now?” Eddie asked, turning to face Hopper. He’d never been any parent’s favourite, he knew that, because of his looks, because of the rumours, so he was prepared to be told to stay away from you. In the beginning, he wouldn’t have minded hearing that, in fact, it would have spurred him on to spend even more time with you in order to make Hopper believe that the two of you were head over heels in love with each other. By now… he cared about what your father thought of him. Because he liked you. More than that actually. He’d felt it before today, but after getting so close with you in the kitchen, when he’d wanted to kiss you so badly before you’d been interrupted, he knew that it wasn’t just a pretend situation anymore. At least not for him, and so Hopper’s opinion mattered.
“Look…” Hopper started, rubbed a hand over the stubble on his chin before he sighed. “I don’t give a fuck about the rumours. Hell, they say all kinds of stuff about me, too.” But he knew about the drugs, at least that was what he believed to be true, so they wouldn’t talk about this. “All I care about are my daughters. And if you ever… ever hurt y/n, I will make your life miserable.”
Eddie had to admire that kind of attitude, because his parents had been the complete opposite, and hadn't cared about him at all. Wayne on the other hand was more like Hopper, even though he’d never threatened to hurt someone on Eddie’s behalf.
“I’m not planning on doing that.” Eddie sighed. “I know I’m not exactly the person anyone envisions for their daughter… but I like y/n. I really do. It frightens me just how much I like her, because I haven’t felt like this before.” Eddie was pouring his heart out, was being utterly honest, because he knew that if he wanted to have a chance - a real chance - with you, he needed Hopper’s approval. You were doing all this for your sister, because you loved her, but you loved your Dad as well, and you needed his approval, whether you were aware of it or not.
“Alright.” Hop said after a moment, nodding his head. “That’s all I wanted to hear.” Now, that really took a big load off Eddie’s mind. “But the three-inch rule still applies!”
Eddie had to stifle a laugh.
“That’s alright with me, Mr. Hopper.”
“Just… Hopper or Hop. No Mr this or that.”
“Alright.” Eddie couldn’t hide the smile that was breaking out on his lips. Maybe, he really did have a chance.
“You like him, don’t you?” El hugged you from the side while the two men were outside, which took your mind off things at least, because you were a little bit worried about your Dad talking to Eddie all alone.
“Hm?” You looked at her, smoothing a hand over her hair. “He’s nice. He’s a friend, I guess.”
“You look at all your friends like this? I don’t think so.” El chuckled, leaning her head against your shoulder. “And he looks at you the same way.”
“You sure?” Hope bubbled up inside you, but you tried to push it away. It wouldn’t be good to get your hopes up right now. “I don’t know.”
“He looks at you like Jonathan looks at Nancy.”
“Now, that’s a comparison.” You had to laugh, but it was actually a little reassuring, because you’d seen the way Jonathan looked at his girlfriend, like he was constantly in awe of her and wanted to lay the world at her feet. “But we’re just pretending, and I don’t think that he wants more than that. I mean, I really enjoy our time together.” Which was an understatement, and El knew that, because you’d told her all about your dates.
“Maybe, it’s not just pretend anymore?” El’s words left you speechless. It wasn’t just pretending on your part anymore, that was for sure, but you didn’t know what Eddie thought. There was only one way to find out, but you weren’t sure whether you were ready for that.
“That’s your ride,” Hopper said a couple of days later when you heard Eddie’s van pull up in front of the cabin. You had no idea what he was doing here. When you’d talked earlier that day, he hadn’t mentioned that he’d come visit you, especially not when it was already that late. The last time he’d been here, he’d forgotten his sweater, and you hadn’t told him or given it back, because you liked wearing it around the house, kind of parading it in front of your Dad, but you also liked to be enveloped by the faint smell of him. If you’d known that he’d come by, you would have taken off his sweater. You would have put on at least a bit of makeup after the shower or styled your hair, but you were in comfortable, cosy clothes that kept you warm.
“What do you mean?” You cast a glance at Hopper and El, who were grinning at each other.
“Eddie’s picking you up!” El provided, but that didn’t tell you much.
“A date?” Hopper’s words made your eyes widen, and he chuckled. “Don’t worry. Your outfit is perfect for what he’s planned.”
“What?” You were trying to wrap your head around what the hell was going on, but couldn’t really figure it out. “Did you… Wait, did you plan that together with him?”
“Maybe?” Your Dad got up from the sofa and walked over to you. This couldn’t be happening, could it?
“What happened to he’s trouble?” You could still hear him say that, could see the look on his face when you’d told him that you were going out with Eddie.
“I changed my mind.”
“Why?”
Hopper stopped in front of you and put his hands on your shoulders, a gentle smile playing on his lips - one that you saw way too little of, but that you adored nonetheless.
“Because you like him, y/n.” He leaned down to you to place a kiss on your forehead. “And he really cares about you. I’ll still keep an eye on him, just so you know, but I have to give you a little more freedom.”
“I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone.” You couldn’t help but laugh, when you hugged your father. “I can’t believe you planned this behind my back!” You turned your head around to look at your sister, who knew just how much you liked Eddie. “And you!”
“We just want to see you happy!” El got up to snuggle up to the two of you and press a kiss to your cheek. “Sometimes you need a little nudge.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Hopper looked down at El, because she was referring to taking a step from the fake-dating to real dating, but your Dad didn’t know about all of it being make believe.
“I’ll tell you later. Y/N has got to go now, or Eddie will leave without her.”
“Right. Have fun and make sure he brings you home safely in the morning.”
“In the morning?” That made your heart beat faster, but Hopper just nodded, and if he was okay with that, it was definitely something completely innocent. He wouldn’t have agreed otherwise.
“Yes, now get going!”
And you did, you put on your shoes and your jacket, before you left the Cabin. Eddie was standing by his car waiting for you.
“I was afraid you wouldn’t come out.”
“I would have come out sooner, if I’d known about this.” “What, do you not like surprises?”
“I do!” You stopped in front of him, a smile on your face that reached your eyes and lit up your whole face. “But if I’d known, I could have changed into something else.”
Eddie held you at arm’s length, lips slowly curving up into a smile.
“I think you look cute. My sweater looks so much better on you!”
“Yeah, I… wanted to give it back, but kinda forgot about it.” A blatant lie, but you didn’t want to tell him why you’d kept it. Not now anyway.
“Don’t worry, I quite enjoy seeing you in my clothes.” Eddie winked at you, before he got in the car with you and started the engine.
“Where are we going anyway?”
“Patience, darling. It’s a surprise after all, right?”
“I know, but Dad said you’d bring me home in the morning, and that made me really curious.” And a little nervous, so you couldn’t keep your legs still, bouncing them up and down. Eddie noticed that straight away, so he put his hand on your thigh. That managed to stop your movements, but it also made your skin tingle beneath his touch, spreading out through your whole body.
“If you don’t want that, just say the words and I’ll take you back home.” Eddie looked at you for a moment, gave you a reassuring smile before he turned his attention back on the road. “D’you trust me?”
“Yes.” No hesitation, because it was what you felt. In his presence, you’d always felt safe, and right now was no exception.
“Good, then… just a little patience. It won’t take long to get there.”
You placed your hand on top of his on your thigh and ran your thumb over his skin again and again, because you needed something to do. Eddie drove out of Hawkins, but you kept quiet, knowing that he wouldn’t answer your questions. Another ten minutes and he stopped the car on top of a hill overlooking the city, but when you turned to the other side, mostly darkness welcomed you, but that assured that you had a great view of the sky, of all the stars that were shining. A breathtaking view already!
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” Eddie asked, opening the back doors of the van to get some stuff out.
“It really is.” You turned towards him, eyebrows drawn together in confusion. “You need help?”
“No, no, I got it.” He carried everything over, laid out a big blanket, put down some containers, bottles and whatnot. “Come on, sit down.”
“You know, we could have had a picnic during the day as well.” “Sure, but that wouldn’t have been anywhere near as romantic as this is, right?” The hopeful look in his eyes made you smile. He seemed almost nervous, and apparently he was, judging by the way he twisted one of his rings around his finger.
“That’s true.” Slowly, you sat down next to him. “So, you wanted to stargaze with me?”
“Yes.” Eddie reached for another blanket and put it over your lap. “Ever heard of the Orionids?”
“I think I heard that before. Why?”
“They’re an annual meteor shower, so we can watch some shooting stars tonight.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I hope so. But that’s why I brought you here, to watch the Orionids with you.”
“I never pictured you as someone who liked to stargaze, Eddie Munson.” “Oh, I’m full of surprises, darling.” Eddie chuckled, before he wrapped one arm around your shoulder, pulling you close.
You talked for a bit about the stars, about books, all the topics you’d talked about before, and it was so easy with him, so… natural that you lost track of time completely. At one point, you’d both laid down on your backs, staring up at the sky, Eddie’s arm wrapped around you to keep you close, your head leaning against his shoulder. The blanket was wrapped around both of you, but being this close to Eddie provided enough warmth already, so you were all cosy.
“There!” Eddie pointed in one direction, your eyes immediately following, and you saw the first shooting star.
“Quick! Make a wish!” you said, getting all giddy with excitement.
“Why don’t you make one?”
“You saw it, so you get to make a wish. I don’t make the rules.”
“I actually only have one wish right now. And that’s not something any shooting star can make come true.”
“Why?” You turned your head towards him to look at him. Your faces were mere inches apart, noses almost touching.
“Because that’s not in the stars… it’s in your hands.” Eddie tightened his hold around you, fingers fanning out over your back. His other hand came up to cup your cheek. You felt your breath hitch when he bumped his nose against yours. “Because I’d really, really like to kiss you now.”
You wanted that as well, but were incapable of forming words right now. The butterflies in your stomach were ready to burst at any minute, but he was still waiting for your okay. A smile spread on your lips when you put your hand on his chest and leaned in, hoping he’d get the hint. And he did.
Eddie’s lips met yours in a soft, languid kiss. You ran your fingers up his chest, to his shoulder, but Eddie quickly grabbed your waist and pulled you on top of him, making you giggle and break the kiss.
“I’ve been dreaming of this ever since we started dating.” He ran a hand through your hair, putting his hand at the nape of your neck, his thumb brushing over the skin just beneath your ear. A sigh escaped your lips when he did that.
“Really?” You couldn’t believe his words, but knew that he wouldn’t lie to you about something like this. You wiggled around a bit to get more comfortable until you found the perfect position, his thigh between your legs, and in turn your leg between his.
“I was always intrigued by you, but never really got the chance to talk to you. And you blew me away on that first date.” Eddie chuckled, running his hand up and down your back, but when he reached the hem of the sweater, he slipped his hand beneath the fabric, warm hands meeting your bare skin, resulting in another happy sigh.
“I actually felt the same way,” you admitted, “And… I actually didn’t give your sweater back because I liked wearing it. Made me feel like you were around.”
“That’s really cute, sweetheart!” Eddie pecked your lips again, before he had to chuckle. “And your Dad actually approves of this.”
“Yeah, how did you manage that? I mean, he even helped you with this?”
“He did.” And Eddie was still a little surprised, but also rather proud that Hopper had offered him his help, after El had talked to both of them about your feelings. Eddie didn’t know whether she’d told him about the whole fake-dating thing, but in the end, it didn’t matter. “When he walked me out of the cabin… I was just completely honest with him.” Eddie stopped his hand at the small of your back, fanned out his fingers to cover as much skin as possible. He used his other hand to cup your cheek once again.
“I told him that I like you… and that I’ve never felt like this for anyone else.” Your heart skipped a beat when you heard that, and now you were the one to initiate the kiss. It started out just like the first one, but got more heated rather quickly. You opened your lips to him, explored his mouth with your own tongue while you felt his hand tangle in your hair. You felt warm all over, and your lips were a little swollen from the kiss when you eventually broke apart.
“I like you, too, Eddie Munson… a lot actually.”
“Well, that sounds promising. So we’re taking our fake-dating up a level to real proper dating?”
“I think we’re already kinda past that dating-stage, don’t you think?” After all, you’d been on a couple of dates, had gotten to know each other quite well, and Eddie had prepared the most romantic date you’d ever been on.
“So, you’re gonna call me your boyfriend in front of your Dad now?”
“If that’s okay with you?”
“Okay?” Eddie said, leaning in for another quick kiss. “Sweetheart, I’ve been waiting to hear you call me that. ‘Cause now I can tell everyone what a wonderful, gorgeous, smart girlfriend I have, so that they can all get jealous.”
Before you could react in any way, Eddie kissed you again, and you forgot everything that had been on your mind, everything you’d wanted to say. You were happy, and that was all that mattered.

buy me a coffee ☕️!
Three things set off Hopper’s dad alert when he got home.
First was the van parked in his driveway. Now, this wasn’t a big deal. His kids always had someone new around. After the fourth person, he stopped keeping track.
Second was the repeated calls of your name to see if you were home, followed by him walking through the house to your room. He was slightly surprised to see that your bedroom door closed. Not that the rule necessarily applied to you, but you always had your door ajar due to you constantly listening to music.
That led to the third thing that activated his protective papa bear instincts. Not only was the music louder than usual, but the metal banging playing inside your room was definitely not your music.
So, when adding each thing together, the outcome was not a good one.
He didn’t allow himself to think about what was going on behind the door before he barged in. What he found was neither what he expected nor wanted to see.
A little before
The two of you were introduced through the kids and instantly hit it off. After much pining from the both of you and unabashed flirting on Eddie’s part, a date came. Then another. Then another. Then another until you were spending most of your time, both free and at school, with the eccentric brunet.
You convinced Eddie to really try at his studies this semester. He kept mentioning how ‘86 was his year, but as you so kindly reminded him, it wouldn’t be his year if he didn’t do his work.
So, like a good friend, you offered to help him study. That resulted in an exaggerated groan from Eddie, who fell to the ground, acting as if he had died. Nevertheless, the brunet gave in, and the two of you made your merry way to your house in his van.
No one was home, and Eddie never paid much attention to why he hadn’t met your dad or how anytime he came over, no one was there. Truthfully, you were saving Eddie by not introducing the two just yet.
You mentioned before that your dad was a bit crazy, and of course, Eddie laughed you off, saying no one was crazier than him. Oh, how wrong he was.
Eddie was listening to you explain the chemistry homework with an apparent disinterest when he suddenly stood. You halted your talking, staring at him quizzically.
“You look so comfortable sitting there,” Eddie said, a smile surfacing on his face. You let out a confused chuckle, “Thanks...?”
He squinted, bending into a crouching position. You narrowed your eyes in realization.
“Eddie…” He slowly crept over to you, a wicked smile on his face. “Edward Munson, don’t you dare” You squealed as the brunet stuck his tongue out before pouncing on you. His hands found their way to your sides, fingers dancing across your skin.
“E-Eddie!” You squirmed around, messing up your previously made bed as you attempted to free his torture.
Now, contrary to what others might think, Eddie is a sweetheart. A big softie. You have always thought positively of him until this very moment when you think he’s a bit of a monster.
Your uncontrollable fits of laughter turned into pleas. Though you admired Eddie’s agile fingers while they strummed on his guitar, they were now the cause of your despair.
“I’ll stop on one condition,” Eddie said, pausing so you could speak. You told him you would do anything if he stopped. He grinned devilishly, “I’ll stop if you say ‘Eddie Munson is the freakiest of all freaks’.”
You snickered, brows raising - this time not because he was tickling you but because you were amused. “Seriously?”
“No? Okay, then.” Before you had a chance to say anything, Eddie was back to his torture. That continued for a few more seconds until you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Okay, okay!” You squeezed out in between laughs. “Eddie M-Munson is the freak—” His fingers ran across your exposed ribcage, and you squirmed, attempting to get the rest of your words out in one go. “Freakiest of all freaks!”
“See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
You looked up to see Eddie grinning as he hovered over you. You weakly slapped at his arm, panting. “You’re a menace, Munson.”
The corners of his eyes crinkled as he stared down at you. “And you’re really pretty.”
Your face flushed. Not that Eddie hadn’t complimented you before, but you weren’t expecting it, especially after he had just finished torturing you only moments prior.
“So are you,” was your breathy reply. He really was.
A hand came into view, and you thought Eddie would tickle you again until it rested on your cheek. “Can I kiss you?”
You swore he could feel the warmth rushing to your previously flushed face and hear your heart beating out of your chest at his question.
Before you could give him an obvious answer of “yes”, your bedroom door flung open. You almost didn’t hear it over Eddie’s loud music playing from your cassette player.
You barely had time to react when you heard the words: Get. Off. My. Daughter.
Eddie was quick to hop off of you, stumbling over a fallen pillow in the process. Once you finished adjusting yourself, you turned to your dad, heart beating out of your chest - but not in the pleasant way Eddie had.
The brunet standing next to you looked equally terrified as Hopper stared you down. You reached for his hand to calm him. Hopper watched your movements like a hawk.
When he started speaking, he was eerily calm. That made you worry more. “Who are you, and why are you in my daughter’s room?”
Eddie glanced at you, and you squeezed his hand reassuringly. “We weren’t doing anything, Dad. He was just tickling-”
“That’s not what I asked.”
Okay, not much you could do there. It was Eddie’s turn.
“My name’s Eddie.” His hold on your hand tightened. “And like she said, we weren’t doing anything, you know?”
Hopper pinched the bridge of his nose as if to push off an impending headache. He breathed in sharply. “No, I don’t know, Eddie. And it didn’t seem like nothing when you’re in my daughter’s room, on top of her with her shirt pulled up.” He took a step closer, and Eddie backed up.
“So, you tell me, punk…” Hopper’s eyes widened as he poked Eddie in the chest. “Why the hell are you in my daughter’s room?”
“Um- I-” Eddie tried to form a response that wouldn’t further anger the man in front of him. He winced, his explanation more of a question than a statement. “We were studying…?”
Hopper turned around, his back facing you. Eddie sent you a wide-eyed gaze, mouthing something like: ‘this is your dad?!’ You could only shrug, offering him a sympathetic look. You leaned over and whispered, “I told you you wouldn’t want to meet him.”
You were so right about that, and despite the seriousness of the situation, Eddie couldn’t help laughing. It was short - a chortle or a snicker at most. Your eyes widened as Eddie slapped his free hand over his mouth.
Your dad cackled as he tapped his foot, hands on his hips. Just as you were about to call out to him, he turned around and lunged at Eddie, who let go of your hand to dodge his attack.
It was your turn to look shocked. You quickly recovered as Hopper tripped over the same pillow Eddie had when he lunged again.
“Eddie,” you called. “I think you should go. Like now.”
Eddie was already snatching up his lunchbox. If your dad was this worked up over simple tickling, he didn’t want to know what he would be like if he found out that Eddie dealt drugs.
“Great idea, Y/N! Already thinking of it!” As he turned to dash out of your room, Hopper got up and chased after him. He reminded you of an angry bear, which was something you’d laugh about after the fact. You followed after, hoping you wouldn’t have to take Eddie to the hospital after this.
Eddie ran outside, fumbling with his keys. He was too busy trying to run for his life that he hadn’t noticed the kids standing in his path.
An arm shot out, stopping Eddie from bumping into them. “Woah, man,” Mike said. “What the hell are you doing?”
El clung to Mike’s other arm, and you tried to tame the wild animal that was your dad from killing your boyfriend. Eddie planted his feet and pointed to the burly man charging at him like a bull.
“That! That’s what I’m doing, Wheeler. Running from that!”
Again, if this were a different situation, you would be laughing your ass off, but now wasn’t the time if you wanted Eddie to stay alive. And, you really wanted him to stay alive.
“Wait, what? Why is Hopper-” While Mike could be annoying as shit at times and pretty oblivious most of the time, he caught on surprisingly quick. He glanced at Eddie, then Hopper, then you - then back, and Mike knew what happened. A laugh escaped him, jolting his body, and El looked at him in confusion.
“You and Y/N,” he sputtered out more laughter, and honestly, it wasn’t that funny. “Oh, man, this is gold.”
“Yeah, yeah, Wheeler, laugh it up. Jesus H. Christ!” Eddie had dropped his keys from fumbling hands for the umpteenth time. He was visibly sweating, and you felt sorry for him.
“How long has this-”
Mike was cut short by a frustrated growl as Hopper struggled to rise from the ground after you knocked him over with a pillow. “I’ll call Joyce if you put one finger on him.”
That seemed to knock a little sense into the man. Keyword: a little. But it did give Eddie more time to sort out his predicament. An ecstatic “aha!” came from the brunet as he finally found the correct key and hopped into his van.
The engine roared to life and ironically got Hopper started again. He jumped to his feet, not even worrying about the dirt on his clothes, and ran towards the van.
Thankfully, he didn’t make it in time because what Eddie did once he knew he was safe was a little risky, even for him. As he pulled out of the driveway, he stuck his head out the window. “It was nice meeting you, Y/N’s dad! Maybe next time you won’t try to kill me! Bye!”
Now, this time you did laugh. Eddie was living up to that menace title. Hopper disrupted the small amount of peace when he turned to you with a livid look. He reminded you of a cartoon character - you were sure there was smoke billowing from his nose and ears.
“Inside, now!”
You rolled your eyes at him, letting the previous events settle in. When you didn’t move, he snapped his fingers. “Now, Y/N!”
“Fine!” You followed him inside, shutting the door to keep Mike’s nosy ears out of your conversation, not that it would help any. Before he could open his mouth, you quickly voiced your grievances.
“Dad, what the hell was that?”
Hopper turned to you with a wild look. The only time you had remotely seen him like that was when Mike was getting on his nerves with the amount of time he spent with El that one summer.
“Oh, ho, missy. You don’t get to say anything.”
“But, Dad,” you huffed frustratedly. “We weren’t doing anything.”
“No buts!” He stalked over to your door, yanking it open. “And from now on, keep the door open three inches!”
“I’m not a little kid.” Maybe not the best thing to say, but you were upset. He had misread the entire situation, scared away the first and only guy you were interested in, and was now trying to make you follow some bullshit rule that he gave El when she and Mike were sucking each other’s faces off.
“Okay, then. You’re right.” You nodded, satisfied until he opened his mouth again.
“Three feet! This door stays open three feet. How’s that for not being a little kid.”
Hopper left you standing in the hallway with your mouth agape and your eyebrows furrowed. Welp... That’s what you get for being a daughter of a cop.

Tumblr media
"I don't want you anywhere near that Munson boy." Your father crossed his arms, looking at you sternly.
You huffed, blowing a strand of hair out of your face. "For the last time, Dad, Eddie and I are not dating. We don't even talk. He gave me a ride home once, because you were at work and I didn't have a license and there was no one else there to drive me home."
Hopper ran a hand over his face. "You better not be lying to me." He pointed his finger at you. "There will be severe consequences if I find out you're lying to me."
You threw your hands up in frustration. "I'm not lying! Gods, I'm gonna take a drive. El, do you wanna come?"
Your little sister poked her head out of her room and nodded.
"Is that all right with you, Dad? Am I trustworthy enough to drive?"
Hopper pursed his lips. "Yes. I trust you very much. Is that what you want to hear?"
You nodded, pleased with yourself. "Yes. Thank you." You grabbed your car keys off the rack and Eleven followed you out the door.
"We are not going on a drive," she said.
"Mm-mm," you agreed, sliding into your car.
"You are going to Eddie's," she said, sitting next to you in the passenger's seat.
"Mhm." You started the engine.
"Friends don't lie," she said nervously.
"Nope, but daughters do when their dad is the chief of police and their boyfriend is a drug dealer." You turned and grinned at her.
She smiled back. "Are you taking me to see Mike?"
"I'll take you wherever you want. No rules with me, you know that."
"I want to see Mike."
"Then I'll take you to see Mike." You flicked on the radio and sang along as you drove to the Wheelers', giving your sister a fist bump and telling her you'd be back in an hour before heading to Eddie's trailer.
"Hello, my dearest," Eddie greeted you with a grin after you knocked on his door.
"Greetings, my beloved." You kissed him on the lips and he picked you up and carried you inside. "We have an hour," you told him, straddled on his waist as he laid on his bed.
"That's enough time for me," he said, stroking your cheek. He flipped you over and hovered above you. "Fuck, you're gorgeous."
"Shut up and kiss me."
Eddie obliged, capturing your lips in a kiss so heavenly you felt you were floating. His mouth trailed down your chin and neck and attached to your collar bone, leaving a mark that would be a struggle to hide from your father. You gripped his hair and gasped out his name, eyes shut as he took you to paradise with his lips.
"I think next time we should go to your place," he murmured, painting another bruise onto your skin.
"You're insane." You shuddered from the pleasure.
He looked up, grinning. "Maybe. But there's something about kissing you senseless with your cop dad in the other room that turns me way on."

CHIEF'S DAUGHTER - E.M
Tumblr media

Pairing: Eddie Munson x Fem!Hopper!reader
Summary: you loved your dad but you loved your boyfriend Eddie munson too. So what happens when your dad's out and el and Mike catch you in a compromising position with your boyfriend.
Wordcount: 3k
Tumblr media
You had never really felt like you belonged anywhere.
You had been eight years old when you had been adopted by Jim Hopper, two years before the diagnosis came through about Sara.
Your parents had died earlier that month in a shooting and Hopper had been there when it happened. He had felt so guilty about the fact that he hadn't been able to save your parents that he adopted you. His wife had been a bit reluctant to the idea but agreed that you deserved somewhere safe to live.
Sara, who was four years younger than you were, loved you instantly, loving that she had an older sibling to play with.
It all changed in the fall of 1977. You were ten years old, running around with Sara around the park as she kicked the leaves around on the floor when she began to cough. You called out for Hopper and his wife and they rushed to your side, Hopper trying to help with his daughters breathing.
The next few months were difficult for everyone with Sara being diagnosed with cancer and your adoptive parents fighting constantly.
Your younger sister had died in 1978 and in 1979, your parents had split up. Your adopted mother couldn't stand to look at you after what had happened to Sara. she hated that her daughter wasn't here anymore
So you moved to Hawkins and there you stayed, fitting in instalty and joining the community. It was your dad's old hometown so he knew everyone and you joined him, missing your sister and your adoptive mother.
Tumblr media
Now it was the summer of 1985 and you sat in your room in the cabin. El had moved in nearly two years ago in December of 1983 and you loved her like a sister. Since she had been exposed to the world, you played it off as Hopper having adopted another daughter around November of last year.
You heard a noise at the window and turned to see your boyfriend Eddie Munson climbing through the window, a smile on his face.
“Eddie!” you exclaimed when you saw him, your heart was pounding out of your chest, you were glad it was just him.
“Sorry princess,” he said with a smirk, slipping through your window as he came to sit down on your bed. He had snuck in here countless times in the last six months when the two of you started dating.
“It's okay, you just scared me,” you said, leaning in, pressing a kiss to his lips.
He chuckled, pulling you over so that you were sitting in his lap. He had never expected to fall for the chief of police’s daughter, especially not the one who was in the year below him at school - however now because he was being held back they were going to spend their senior year together and this time, he was determined to graduate.
“Is your dad home?” He asked, leaning forward to collide his lips with yours again, this time it was a lot rougher and needy.
He knew that your dad would never accept him especially with him being older than you but ever since you had met in September of last year in the woods, he had never wanted to let go of you. You'd gone through a lot at that time with your sister's identity being exposed and hopper legally adopting her but you decided to finally ask him out and you'd been happy ever since.
“No, just El and Mike, I’m supposed to be looking after them,” you said as he moved his lips away to kiss along your neck and jaw.
“You're doing a good job,” he said sarcastically, looking up at you with those big brown eyes.
“Oh shut up and just kiss me,” you said and he chuckled.
“Yes ma’am,” he muttered before pulling you in for another kiss, your hands flying to his hair as you deepened the kiss.
In the other room, Mike had gotten up to change the radio channel when he heard a loud moan coming from next door and some people whispering to each other. He sat back down, his brows furrowed as he tried to work out what it was.
“What's your sister doing?” Mike asked as he looked up at El.
“Probably just watching a film, or calling a friend, it's okay, all her films make funny noises like that,” she said, clearly oblivious to what was going on in the room next door.
She had nearly caught you and Eddie before but you told her the noises she was hearing was just from a scary film you were watching. And it was true, you and Eddie had been watching a scary film but had escalated to much more and the two of you were clearly being too loud.
“Okay, uh-” Mike said before hearing another loud moan, his face heating up as he realised what was going on next door “-Does your sister have a boyfriend?”
“Y/N? No way, dad doesn't approve of any of those boys,” El said, bored of the talk about her sister.
“Why don't we go get a drink, we’ll check if your sister wants one too,” he suggested, eyes darting to the wall when he heard another thud and a groan, someone whispering something.
El shrugged her shoulders, getting up and grabbing his hand and walking out. She knocked on your door but when she received no answer, she pulled it open, confused at what she was seeing. Mike's face went bright red as he realised he was right, you did have a boyfriend.
You heard the door open and gasped, Eddie moving to cover you when he realised that you two had just been busted.
El looked at you confused, wondering what was going on. Eddie's head was between your legs, your hand buried in your hair but he had moved away to cover you up the second he heard the door open.
“Y/N?” she questioned, her voice loud and accuser as she looked at the scene in front of her.
“El! Get out!” you exclaimed, embarrassed that your sister had caught you in such a compromising position.
Mike grabbed El’s hand, his face red as he ushered his girlfriend out. You could hear the two of them talking loudly in the kitchen and knew that El was going to have so many questions.
Eddie pulled his head back up to look at you, wiping his mouth slightly and you shook your head, “You're disgusting,”
“I'm sorry baby, she was gonna figure it out eventually,” he said, passing you your underwear and jeans, watching as you pulled them on.
“Oh God, she's gonna tell dad!” you exclaimed with a groan once you'd gotten changed, realising how bad this was going to be.
“She won't tell him, we’ll just bribe her,” he said, grabbing your hand and pressing a kiss to it. He wanted you to calm down, it wasn't as bad as you were making it out to be and he just wanted to help you out.
“My sister doesn't understand what bribery is,” you said, hiding your face in your hands, “She doesnt understand what sex is,”
“She’s 14, how does she not know what sex is?” he asked and you groaned, telling him it was a long story. You wish that this night had never happened.
You sighed as you walked out of the room, Eddie standing taller behind you. Mike and ell turned to you and you saw where they sat, next to each other on the dining room table. You looked back at Eddie and he nodded. You both sat opposite the two teenagers, the silence in the room awkward.
“Hey El, Mike,” you said, trying to break some of the tension in the room.
“Hey Y/N, who's the guy?” Mike asked, his voice cocky.
“Mike, El, this is Eddie Munson. Eddie, this is my sister El and her asshole boyfriend Mike,” you introduced everyone. Eddie held his hand out and El glared at him before she shook it, still confused as to who this boy was that had been near her sister.
El loved you as a sister and saw you as one and she didn't like the idea that you had a boyfriend that you were hiding from everyone. She knew that their dad wouldnt react well to it but she still wished that you would have told her.
“We just wanted to talk to you about what you saw,” you said, hands clasped in front of you.
“Was he hurting you, you seemed pretty distressed,” El said, her face blank and hard to read.
She was very protective over you and just looking at Eddie, she was unsure if he was the right guy for you. Now she understood how Hopper felt about her and mike.
“No, no, no,” you reassured, your voice almost too fast. You didn't want her to think he was hurting you.
“Although she does like that,” he muttered, forgetting where he was for a second.
“Munson!” you exclaimed and Mike snickered. You leant over, hitting the boy on the back of the head. He placed his hand on the tender spot, glaring up at you.
“Listen El, when two people love each other then they hang out and kiss a lot,” you explained, unsure how to navigate this conversation.
“Like me and Mike,” she said, beginning to catch on.
You nodded, “A bit like you and Mike, but if I ever catch you two doing what I was doing then you better expect to see Mike stuffed up our chimney,” you said, glaring at Mike because you knew he would understand.
He sighed and Eddie chuckled at the boy. It was clear to him that Mike knew what the two of you were doing but for some reason, your sister didn't understand.
“I don't understand, why can you do whatever that was and I can't?” she asked, almost like she was intrigued.
“Because I’m older El, it's something that adults do,” you explained.
You knew that she needed to learn what sex was eventually and you would probably talk to your dad about him explaining it to El because you did not want to do that.
“I still don't understand what he was doing to you,” she said, her brows creased as she glared at Eddie.
She was still convinced that the sounds from her sister was one of pain and Eddie felt slightly intimidated by the gaze of this fourteen year old.
“He was kissing her somewhere other than her mouth,” Mike said with a snicker.
“Mike Wheeler if you keep talking I will rip out your oesophagus and hang you with it,” you said, pointing a finger at him.
Hopper had heard the last two sentences and he kicked the door open, his face red as he looked at the scene in front of him.
The four of you all jumped in shock, looking at Hopper as he stood at the door, clearly angry with what was going on. He took in the scene and then noticed Eddie had pulled his hand away from your thigh the second the door opened.
“What's going on here?” he asked, giving you all a chance to explain first.
“Dad, you're home early,” you said, a shaky tone to your voice as you realised you'd been caught.
Growing up you had always been troubled, constantly ending up in detention because you misbehaved. He blamed it on himself and you just wanted to show that you were as strong as him. But you recognised that look of disappointment and anger in his eyes as he realised you were with eddie.
“What's going on here? And who is this?” he repeated, waiting for you to explain yourself
“Hey Hop, this is just one of Y/N’s friends from school,” mike said with a snicker. He knew he hadn't done anything wrong and loved watching you get told off.
“Yeah, I know who he is. I've busted him for multiple things, speeding, suspicion of drug dealing, loitering, underage drinking,” he said.
“Hi Chief, I was just dropping over some study materials,” Eddie tried to play it off but he was sweating bullets as he realised he was going to get caught. He didn't want hopper to break the two of you up, he had never loved anyone more than he'd loved you.
He loved you in the way that meant he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you in his arms, that he wanted to marry you and have a few kids and live in a nice house away from hawkins.
“Studying my ass! You two are in so much trouble,” Hopper said and you winced at the idea of your dad punishing you for it.
Mike laughed and I glared at him again and he shut up. Hopper had the same glare directed at Mike and in any other situation, Eddie would have smiled at the cute similarities between you and your dad.
“Mike and El, you will go to Els' room, leave the door open,” Hopper said, not looking at them as he still glared at Eddie whilst the two ran off.
Hopper could already tell that Eddie was a bad influence. He was 19 year old and had tattoos and long curly hair and was in a rock band. That was not what he had expected from his little girl. But really, all he wanted was someone who would treat you right and it would hurt him a bit if it was a delinquent like eddie.
Eddie reached down, his hand lacing with yours and it calmed you down. The show of solidarity made you smile and you knew he loved you and wasn't going to let anyone ruin this.
“Eddie Munson, do you care to tell me what you were doing with my daughter?” Hopper asked, his gaze focused on the older boy next to you.
“Dad, I can explain,” you tried to interject but hopper held his ground.
“No, I want him to explain,” he said and Eddie sighed.
He wanted to prove himself, he wanted to prove that he was good enough for you, “I was in your daughter's room and we were talking. We've been together for six months now sir and I'm in love with her,” he explained, his voice steady but his hands were sweating and his foot was bouncing up and down.
“Just talking?” Hopper questioned “I hope you weren't doing what I was thinking, Mike said kissing  other than the mouth,”
“We might have been sir,” he said, holding his ground.
“You're using protection?” he asked.
Hopper liked the way that Eddie was standing up for himself and for you. He respected that in a man and was seeing a different side of the delinquent he frequently busted and tried to arrest for distribution of drugs,
“Yes sir,” Eddie confirmed, a faint blush on his cheeks.
“You love my daughter?” Hopper asked with a slight shake to his voice.
He wasn't expecting the day to come so soon where you didn't need him anymore and that you had found someone who made you this happy. He could tell that from the way that Eddie turned to look down at you, a smile on his face.
“More than anything in the world,” he said, his eyes meeting yours.
Hopper was a bit emotional at the way that he was looking at you, like you hung the moon and the arts but he held in the feelings. He looked down and saw your hands intertwined, his finger brushing against the blue hairband on your wrist that belonged to Sara - you and El had one each.
“Munson, next time you come in through the door like a normal person and like El and Mike, the door will be open 3 inches, always,” Hopper said, a slight smile on his face, “And no being alone in this house, especially not with Mike and El next door,”
Eddie turned to Hopper, shocked that he had actually approved og him dating you. He had a smile on his face, his heart pounding.
He had only had one girlfriend before you and the relationship[ only lasted about two months and he definitely didn't meet their parents, that wasn't his style. He had a few hookups but nobody could ever compare to you.
Hopper held his hand out and Eddie shook it, a smile on his face, “Thank you sir, and trust me, I'm never gonna hurt her, never,” he promised.
“You better not, now scram,” he said and you both got up.
You walked him to the door and he grabbed your face in his hands, “I love you baby,” he said, meaning down to kiss you.
You smiled against his lips, “I love you too Eds, now you should probably go,” you said, nuzzling your nose against his.
He walked out, blowing you a kiss before walking to his car that he had parked far far away so that your dad hadn't caught onto it. You closed the door before turning back to see your dad smiling at you as he sat at the dining table, looking at the giddy lovesick grin on your face.
“You really like him don't you?” he asked and you nodded.
“I love him dad, I really do,” you said and he smiled, pulling you in for a hug.
“I can tell,” he said before pulling away, looking down at you, “But if he breaks his heart i will kick his ass,”
“He won't, don't worry,” you said, a smile on your face as you leant against your father's chest. You didn't want anything to change. You were so happy with your dad, your amazing sister, the best boyfriend in the world. You wanted it to stay like that forever.
Here, in Hawkins, surrounded by the best people you had ever met, you finally felt like you belonged.

Meeting The Dad | E.M.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your police chief dad insists on meeting your misfit boyfriend, so you bring Eddie over for dinner — eddie x fem!hopper!reader fluff
warnings: just a stressful dinner and a mention of eddie dealing drugs
words: 1.2k
Tumblr media
Eddie always insisted on getting out of the van first so he could open the door for you. After telling him it’s not necessary about a million times, you just gave up and let him do it.
You exhaled while it was just you in the car, waiting for him to walk around to your side. This dinner was nerve-wracking, but you didn’t want to show how nervous you were to Eddie and potentially scare him away.
When the passenger side door opened, you smiled at Eddie as he took the takeout bag from you and helped you down the step.
“So,” Eddie wondered as you started walking along the forest floor. “Remind me again why we have to do this? Your dad and I have already met.”
“Because the situations in which you two met weren’t… the most desirable. We want to show him that you’re a respectable person and a great boyfriend to his daughter.”
Eddie took an exaggerated step over a fallen branch on the ground. “It’s not like he’s going to change his mind about me.”
“But we can try getting him to see you differently.” You told him. “So that means you have to be on your best behaviour, remember?”
He rolled his eyes jokingly. "Shake his hand, call him 'Mr. Hopper’, and keep my elbows off the table. I remember all your training"
“Eds, I’m serious. I really want him to like you.”
He understood that you were nervous and dropped the teasing. “I know. I want it as much as you do, really. I promise I’ll try as hard as possible to become best friends with your dad.”
You laughed at that. “Well, you don’t have to get that close to him.”
“Oh, we’re gonna be super close. Soon, I’ll spend more time hanging with him than I do with you. He’ll let me sit in the front seat of his cop car as we cruise around town and share embarrassing stories about you.”
Now it was your turn to roll your eyes. You both continued walking towards your cabin, and you pointed at the ground a few feet ahead of you. “There’s the tripwire, we have to go over that.”
“I know about the tripwire, sweetheart. How do you think I sneak in to see you?”
You lowered your voice to explain. “I know. I’m pointing at it in case my dad is watching from the window or something. We don’t need him knowing about you sneaking in through my window.”
“She’s too smart for me!” Eddie spoke dramatically into the forest. “Another reason I can’t slack in making a good impression with her father.”
You giggled at him as you both stepped up onto your porch. You took one deep inhale before opening your front door to reveal your dad and sister on the couch waiting for you. Your dad stood up and started walking to you with an unreadable expression, Eleven following closely behind.
“We’re here, and with food!” You said after Eddie shut the door behind the two of you. “Dad, El, this is Eddie. Eddie, this is my dad, and that’s my sister.”
Your boyfriend held out his hand to share a handshake with your dad. “Thank you so much for inviting me over, Mr. Hopper. It’s good to meet you in a different setting than we have before.”
He took his hand and spoke slightly more grumpily than you had hoped. “Yeah. It’s a pleasure.”
They broke the handshake and your dad moved out of the way, leaving Eddie and Eleven face to face.
“I know you.” She said to Eddie.
He and you both went slightly wide-eyed, remembering what happened a few weeks ago when Eddie snuck in at night. He came to show you his most recent tattoo—among other things—and your little sister had walked into your room to find you making out with a shirtless Eddie when she got up to get a midnight snack and heard voices behind your door. You had explained that you and Eddie were just playing a game but she couldn’t tell Hopper about what she saw.
She agreed not to say anything, but now she was forgetting her promise and you had to cover it up quickly.
“Yeah, you’ve probably seen him around town. Anyways, we brought waffles for you and we don’t want them to get cold, so let’s sit down to eat and you can figure out where you’ve seen Eddie later, okay?”
Eddie put the takeout bag on the table and sat down in the seat next to yours that you had gestured to a second ago. There were plates on the table for you already, so you started taking out the takeout boxes from the bag and handing them out.
“El, here’s your waffles. Eds, here’s our burgers. And, Dad, we got you a steak. Benny threw in extra fries but I got him to add vegetables for you too.”
He was obviously displeased. “Oh, yay. My daughter’s drug dealer boyfriend and I get a bunch of steamed vegetables? Best dinner ever.”
You chose to ignore his attitude, and you placed a calming hand on Eddie’s thigh. “You know, Dad, Eddie actually has a real job. He just started at the music store in the new mall. Right, Eds?”
Eddie dropped the fry in his hands before answering. “Yeah, I mean, I’m mostly just a stock boy, but at least it’s honest work.”
“And you’re saving?” Your dad asked. “Planning to move away, buy a house? At least pay off those student loans?”
There it was, the part you didn’t want to explain to your family. You avoided eye contact as you spoke. “Actually, Dad. Eddie doesn’t have student loans. He’s not going to college yet.”
“So, you’re both about to take a gap year?”
“Not exactly.” Eddie told him. “I’m staying at Hawkins High for another year. I just have a few credits left, but it’ll happen. Third time’s the charm, right?”
“This is gonna be your third senior year?” Your dad asked, looking surprised.
Even Eleven joined in. “That’s six years of high school!”
“Yeah, it is. Unfortunately, I didn’t put a lot of my focus into school, so I wasn’t always the best student. But I’m almost there.”
You were so scared about how your family would react to this information. Obviously, you didn’t care that Eddie was a year older but still in high school; you were just so proud of him for sticking to it and trying. You winced as your dad started to laugh.
“I guess I don’t need to worry about you running off with my daughter anytime soon ‘cause where the hell are you gonna go?”
You were about to tell him off for being mean about your boyfriend’s education journey, but Eddie sensed this and held your hand under the table. In fact, he seemed to find it funny too.
“No, sir. Not going anywhere yet.” Eddie responded. “In fact, I’ll even stay for a fourth year if it’ll put your mind at ease about me.”
You realised you were still holding your breath from when your dad asked the question, and you finally exhaled calmly. Maybe this dinner wouldn’t be as intimidating as you thought.

“Dusty! Y/n is here, you’re gonna be late!” Claudia said to Dustin through his closed door, Dustin sighed and told suzie to hurry and try to hack the school site. Once she managed to change his grade in Spanish he quickly ripped his door open and said bye to his mom and grabbed his bag from the couch. You honk your horn again, you sighed and threw your head back onto the headrest, you turned up your car’s stereo and hummed along to metallicas, master of puppets. You perked up when Dustin came running out with a poptart and his school bag in hand.
“About time!” you smiled as he hopped in the car. “Sorry! I was talking to suzie!” he explained as you quickly drove to Hawkins high. “How is she doing?” You were very close to Dustin and the party, you were their original babysitter before Steve had come along. And you had been their very first dungeon master. You considered the kids your own siblings. You had been unsure when Dustin one day showed up with Steve Harrington at his side, you and Steve didn’t expect to get along at first, it all had changed the night of the snowball dance when he had helped Dustin try to get the girl he liked, maybe Steve wasn’t that terrible. Steve had also realized that night you weren’t like him and his old friends had assumed, He was surprised to say the least when one night he had walked into the wheeler’s basement and saw you playing dnd with the kids.
“She’s good!” you both kept talking about her and dustin the whole drive to school. You smiled and turned up the car’s stereo louder as your favorite metallica song came on. “What is this y/n?” Dustin asked you, yelling a bit. “Metallica’s for whom the bell tolls, i love this song!” you tapped your fingers on the steering wheel. “Curb y/n!” he yelled, making you laugh. “I can see it dustin.” you smiled and parked the car.
“Talk to you later y/n! Thanks for the ride!” Dustin quickly collected his things and bolted out your car before you could stop him. You chuckled at him while you slung your bag over your shoulder, before you left your car you grabbed the four brown paper bags from your backseat. “Morning y/n!” You turned your head and saw Steve dropping robin off next to your car. “Morning you two!” You greeted. “Oh Steve, good luck on your date with Heidi.” Steve gave Robin a look that said she remembered and you didn’t!
“Don’t you need to go and open the store?” Steve rolled his eyes and drove off. “Nice band hat!” you laughed and smacked the feathers on robin’s band uniform. “Did you do Mr Miller's homework?” Robin asked you as you walked to your lockers. “Yes, let me guess you forgot?” she nodded at you. “Please let me copy your homework! If you let me, if you ever need a kidney I'll give you mine! Just please let me copy it!” she pleaded as you placed the brown bags into the locker.
“Alright, I’ll let you copy it in second period! But if I need those kidney’s you better not wimp out!” you smiled as robin nodded eagerly. “Alright, now let us go sit through Jason's boring speech about high school basketball!” you both groaned and walked towards the gym. You and Robin split ways, her going with the rest of the band and you walked to the bleachers.
You walked over to Mike, Dustin and max. “It’s just that Suzie's a certified genius!” “you do realize el saved the world twice right?” you smiled at the boy’s conversation “And yet, you still have a C in spanish!” you leaned over to the trio.
“Do I get credit or does it all go to my sister who has powers too?” the trio jumped, apparently none of them noticed you standing right next to them. “El and y/n saved the world twice, my bad.” Mike held his hands up.
You groaned as everyone cheered louder as the basketball team walked out. Yourself, Dustin and Mike lazily clapped for the team. You held back a groan as you watched Max dodge lucas’ wave towards her. “You know I think I can speak for all of us when I say, it’s been a tough year for all of hawkins. So much loss. And sometimes I wonder, how much loss can one community take?”
The gym went quiet. “In dark days like this, we need something to believe in. so last night. When we were down by ten points at half to christian Academy, I looked at my team.” Jason turned to the players he played with the night before. “And I said, think of Melissa, think of heather, think of Billy,” you had a look of disgust on your face. How could Jason use peoples death’s as a high school pep rally speech.
“Think of our heroic chief of police, Jim hopper!” You felt the trio’s eyes on you as Jason brought up your deceased father. “Think about every one of our friends that perished in that mall fire. What did they die for.” you scoffed, that had caught the attention of the people behind you. You looked forward and ignored them.
“For us to lose to some crap school? NO!” the crowd cheered on Jason, “For us to return with our heads hung low in defeat? No! Let’s win this game. Let’s win this game for them, and that’s exactly what we did.” You rolled your eyes. You knew your dad would have cared less about your school’s basketball team winning.
You sighed, thinking his speech was over but was completely wrong. “And that’s what we did! We embarrassed those candy asses in their own house,” you turned to Dustin with a bored expression. “He’s still talking?” you groaned. “And tonight, tonight we’re gonna bring home the championship trophy!” you lazily clapped, “Tonight?!” Mike asked dustin.
“How is that possible?!” Max leaned over to the pair. “It’s called a tournament. You win one game, you go until there’s one team left.” the pair scoffed. Mike stared at Lucas in disgust as he high fived his teammates. You smiled as the teacher’s let everyone go. You waited and walked with robin to your class together.
“How’s your sister doing in california?” Robin asked as you both sat in your seats. “She’s doing good, she’s a little sad since I can't fly with Mike to see her.” you replied while you handed Robin your homework to copy.
“What are you doing this spring break then?” you sighed at her. “I’m gonna work at the police station this break. Turns out my dad’s death can get me more than insurance money!” you smiled, robin’s eyes widened at your words. “It’s a joke robin, you're allowed to laugh.” you both chuckled.
“What are you ever gonna do there?” she asked as she hurried writing down the answers. “I’m gonna be the receptionist and the occasional assistant!” you stated.
❀❀❀
“Are you gonna have lunch with me?” Nancy asked as you unlocked your locker and grabbed the four paper bags. “Yeah, I just have to go give these out!” Nancy giggled at the full bags in your hands. “What’s in those?” she took two from your hand and walked with you to the lunchroom.
“These past weeks i’ve been making max lunches, then Dustin asked for me to make him some and the robin wanted to join in as well.” you explained as you took a bag from her. “Could you take this outside with you, i’ll be out there real quick!” she nodded and walked outside where you and her regularly had lunch.
You walked over to Max, who sat at a table with other loner kids. “Here, Ham sandwich, with no mustard, again my bad, that was Dustin's.” you handed the bag to her, she gave you a nod of appreciation. “Now where’s robin?” you said to yourself as you scammed the room and spotted her eating a school lunch with vickie.
You groaned at her. “Damn it buckley!” you said under your breath. You walked over to Dustin and mike. “Wheeler, Henderson!” you called out for them, you noticed their other friends freeze at your voice.
“Did y/n hopper just yell your names?!” Gareth asked, slightly panicked.
“What did you do to her that she’s calling for you two?” Jeff chimed in. Dustin shrugged and turned to you. “Hey y/n. What’s up?” Eddie watched quietly as you placed down the bags. “Robin isn’t eating the lunch I packed for her, so here’s the turkey sandwich with mustard. For you Dustin and the other is a ham sandwich so you two can fight over it!” you sighed and pointed to each bag.
“Thanks I guess.” you scoffed at mike and smacked the back of his head. “Don’t give me attitude, I'm not steve!” The pair turned to you.
“Now, I'll see you both, I don't know when. Mama bear Steve is picking up your asses after school!” you quickly dropped before walking away from their table. “I don’t want that sandwich anymore.” Mike said to Dustin as the whole table stared at the bag in the center of the table.
“Gareth?” Dustin offered but he shook his head. “I’m good, jeff?” Jeff did the same as gareth.
“I’ll take it henderson!” Dustin smiled and handed Eddie the ham sandwich. “So how exactly do you both know y/n?” he asked as he took a bite. “She was our babysitter and old dungeon master..” the table went quiet before they all laughed at Dustin's words.
“Bullshit, no girl like y/n plays dnd or anything remotely close!” Eddie told the pair as he watched you accidentally bump into jason. “You want something?” The table turned to watch you and jason. “Yeah actually, I want you out my way!” you said with a bored expression. You both glared at each other as you walked past him.
“Yeah, I doubt she plays dnd.” Dustin sighed and unpacked the bag and ate the food. “Speaking of playing, uh, Lucas has to do his thing.” Dustin explained to eddie.
❀❀❀
You sighed as you sat down across from Nancy, under a tree. “So is Jonathan coming down here for spring break?” Nancy went quiet at your question. “Uh, no he’s gonna look after el and will for the break since his mom is working.” she explained, you raised an eyebrow at her. “But Jane said-! Never mind, I'm keeping my mouth shut!” you smiled at her and quickly took a bite of your food. “Are you gonna go see el this break?” she asked, you quickly swallowed your food. “Sadly no, i got a part time job at the police station, turns out i can get more than my dad’s insurance money!” you smiled.
“How are you doing since that happened?” You sighed, everyone would avoid talking about your father’s death around you. “I’m ok, It’s a struggle knowing that my other relative is all the way in cali, but i’m ok..” Nancy rubbed your arm in comfort.
“So when do you start at the police station?” She quickly changed the topic. “I start Tomorrow at six.” you grinned.
The day quickly went by, you smiled as you walked towards your car. You had barely got in when there was tapping on your window, you sighed and turned to see Mike, Erica and dustin. You groaned and rolled down your window. “What do you kids need?” all three looked at each other. “We need you to drive us to hellfire tonight! Please y/n.” Dustin pleaded to you. “Just tonight?” they all nodded at your question. “Fine! But I'm not picking any of you up after!” they nodded and let you drive away from them.
❀❀❀
It was five, The phone hadn’t stopped ringing. You sighed and ran to pick it up. “Hello?” you held the phone between your shoulder and ear as you tied your shoes. “Where are you?” mike asked, making you groan. “I’m going right now!” you groaned and hung up the phone before running to your car.
You picked up Dustin then Mike, Erica had gotten dropped off by her parents. “And why am i taking you two to the school at night, I know you two aren’t gonna watch lucas play tonight.” You asked the pair. “We’re playing dnd- WE COULD’VE ASKED YOU!” Mike realized as you pulled into the school’s parking lot where the three of you spotted Erica waiting.
“Could’ve asked me what?” you question as the pair collected the snacks they were in charge of bringing from your backseat. “We needed a sub tonight, ugh!” Dustin groaned, you laughed at his realization. “We gotta go, bye y/n!” Mike rushed dustin.”Bye you three, oh have a good trip to California mike!” you waved to the trio before they all rushed inside the building.
You went to back out of the parking space but stopped when you saw the notebooks the boys used during dnd. You groaned and turned off your car. You got out and grabbed their notebooks.
“Always forgetting their shit!” you said to yourself as you entered the school. You walked to the clubrooms and quickly spotted hellfire’s. You chuckled to yourself at the hellfire club logo on the door. You knocked on the door. “Who else is coming? I thought Fred was busy with the school’s paper to play tonight?” you heard through the door.
You opened up the door, Eddie turned to the door and was surprised to see you standing there with two notebooks in your hand. “Y/n?” Erica questioned as she watched you walk over to Dustin and mike. “Just here to give you your shit!” you handed the boys their notebooks.
“Now I'll leave you all be!” you walked to the door but was stopped from leaving by eddie asking “You play hopper?” you stopped in your tracks and turned towards eddie. “Why would you like to know?” you placed your hands on your hips as you waited for eddie to reply.
“Henderson let it slip to us that you play, so do you really?” he asked, leaning back into his throne. “Occasionally I do.” you shrugged. You walked closer towards Eddie, he quickly got up from his throne and walked closer as well. “What’s your class and level then?” you both we’re up close to each other. “Mage and i’m a level 16.” you both stared at each other before eddie cracked smiled. “Never thought girls like you would play this sorta stuff.” you stared at eddie “Well i’m full of surprises!”
“Do you mind if I watch you all play?” you asked eddie as you both stared at each other “You can go with mike to get the other chairs.” you nodded and grabbed mike as you two walked to another clubroom to steal the chairs.
“She really does play, damn it!” Jeff cursed and pulled out a ten dollar bill and handed it to gareth. “You two were betting?” Dustin asked the pair as he opened up a pack of gummy fruit.
“Yep!” Eddie leaned over to dustin. “Is she dating that harrington guy, you talk about?” he asked, Dustin turned to eddie with wide eyes. “Her and Steve, no way! She said she sees him like an annoying older brother, and she threatened to use her- I mean she was gonna beat him up the other day so no.” Dustin explained.
Eddie nodded and sat down on his throne and waited for everyone to be ready to start.
❀❀❀
It had been four-ish hours since you walked into their clubroom and stuck around to watch them all play, everyone in a while you would lean and whisper a tip to Erica as she would play.
You chuckled as you watched them all huddle into a circle to discuss their next moves. You and Eddie watched them amused.
You both tried to listen in. you had managed to catch gareth saying something about fleeting which made Dustin call the others pussies. You chuckled. “Gareth’s right, I gotta tell them.” Eddie said quietly to himself, you looked at Eddie and shook your head. You noticed the blank paper on the floor, you picked it up and quickly wrote something down with Eddie's pen.
“If I may inject gentlemen, lady applejack.” They all turned to face eddie. “While I respect the passion, you’d be wise to take Gareth the great’s concern to heart. There is no shame in running. Don’t try to be heroes, not today, k?” You walked behind Eddie, acting like you dropped something and held up the paper that had your writing on it.
‘DON’T LISTEN TO HIM! DON’T DO IT!’ You held up, they each read the paper. Dustin held up his finger towards you both. The group quickly reformed their circle. You folded the paper and stuffed it into your back pocket.
“What should we do?” Gareth asked, “Listen to y/n, she’s won almost every campaign she’s been in.” Dustin told everyone.
“Are you alright?” Eddie asked, turning to see you behind him. “I’m fine, I found my missing bobby pin!” you sat back down, as the other finally decided to do. “Let’s kill this son of a bitch!” you smiled as they listened to you.
“The chances of 20-1!” Jeff explained to Dustin, he held up his finger “Never tell me the odds! Give me the D20.” he titled his head to the side. Eddie smirked and picked up the D20 and tossed it to him.
Dustin took a deep breath in before rolling his dice. You held your breath as the black dice rolled onto the table, you groaned as it landed on a 11. “That’s a miss!” everyone groaned. You handed Erica the dice and whispered a quick good luck. Erica shook the dice in her palms. You sat on the edge of the foldable chair with baited breath as she threw the dice on the table.
Eddie and you both stood up as the dice landed, it was a 20. “Crit hit!” she cheered. You smiled at the group. “That’s why we play!” Erica smiled and posed as Eddie bowed to her. “Told you, she always wins!” Dustin cheered as he hugged you. You chuckled as Erica joined the hug.
“You used your powers didn’t you?” she whispered, making Dustin look at you with wide eyes. You laughed at the two of them “Nope, that was just your pure luck!” you smirked as she let go of you. As she walked to get her notebook, she looked up at you and you acted like you were wiping your nose.
You chuckled at her face. “I assume I'm taking you three home huh? Since mama steve is trying to find you guys a stepmom.” you laughed as you followed the hellfire member’s out of the school. “I’m sitting in the front seat!” Erica told Mike and Dustin as they walked towards your car.
“Hey dustin.” he turned to you. “What?” you looked over and watched Eddie wave to the other members as they got into their car and left. “Is Eddie dating anyone?” Dustin looked at Eddie then back to you. “Don’t do it y/n! He’s my friend!” he pleaded as he got into the backseat with mike. You sighed and watched as Chrissy Cunningham skipped over to Eddie's van and quickly got in after greeting him. “Well, that answers that question..” you groaned as you opened your door.
You had completed your first few official work days, you were finally granted four days off. You had just gotten home when you heard urgent knocking on your front door.
You groaned as you walked over and answered the door. “Wanna go grocery shopping?” Dustin smiled at you. You stared at Dustin for a moment. “I’m gonna snap one day henderson.” you told him as you grabbed the jacket you threw onto your couch. “Great, let's hope it’s not today!” he told you as you both walked to Steve's car. “Hey y/n!” you greeted robin back as you hopped in the backseat with max and dustin.
“So why are we all shopping as a group?” you asked as Steve pulled up to the small grocery store. “We need to get stuff for eddie..” Dustin said quietly as you all got out and walked into the store. “And why can’t he get them himself?” you were pulled by dustin, who explained the whole incident in a hushed voice.
“So eddie’s officially on the run because he might’ve been blamed for his girlfriend’s murder? Wow, that relationship turned toxic quick.” you said to yourself as you pushed around the shopping cart. “Ooh, yoohoos!” you placed a case into the cart. “He didn’t ask for them y/n, put ‘em back.” you looked at steve offended. “You can boss the kids around but watch it with me!” you pointed your finger at him. “Plus who doesn’t like yoohoos? If he doesn’t then i’ll know if he killed chrissy or not” you told him as you placed another 4 pack into the cart “Aren’t you lactose intolerant?” “...No, I just get stomach cramps after I have milk, cheese and eggs.” Steve stared at you. “You're lactose intolerant!” you rolled your eyes and quickly pushed the cart away from steve.
You sighed as you carried four bags in each hand to the boat house, where Eddie was. Dustin kicked the door open with his foot. “Jesus christ!” he groaned. “Delivery service!” Dustin told him. Eddie sighs in relief “Oh and y/n’s here too.” You tried to pop out from behind Steve's frame and attempted to wave at Eddie, Steve doing the same.
“What is she doing here?” Eddie asked as he went back to sitting in the boat, you all sat around him on the deck. “She’s on your side eddie.” Dustin calmed him with those words. “Well I'm not sure, do you like yoohoos?” you asked him as you pulled out a case. He nodded at you. “Alright, I'm on your side!” you smiled and pulled out two bottles and hand eddie one.
“So we got uh, good news and bad news, how do you prefer?” Dustin asked Eddie as he ate honeycomb before taking a swig of the yoohoo. “Bad news first, always!” Dustin nodded. “We tapped into the Hawkins pd dispatch with our cerebro, and they're definitely looking for you. Also they’re uh pretty convinced you killed chrissy.” Eddie looked at Dustin with wide eyes.
“Like, 100% convinced.” Max chimed in. “And the good news?” “Your name hasn’t gone public yet, but if we found out about you, it’s only a matter of time before the others do too, and once that gets out everyone and their shallow minded mothers will be gunning for you.” Robin told him.  “Hunt the freak, right?” He looked at everyone. “Exactly.” he sighs “Shit.” Dustin sat up. “So before that happens, all we need to do is find vecna, kill him and prove your innocence.” Eddie stared at dustin. “That’s all Dustin, that’s all really?” Dustin nodded at him. “Yeah, that’s pretty much it.” “Listen Eddie, I know everything Dustin's saying sounds totally delusional. But we’ve actually been through this kinda thing before. I mean they had a few times, and I have once.” Eddie turned to you and Steve, which Steve nodded at Robin's words while you drank the milk.
“Mine was more flesh based, and theirs was more smoke related, but bottom line is, collectively, I feel we got this.” Robin smiled at him. “You see, we normally rely on this girl who has super powers. But those went bye-bye so- OW!” Steve held his arm as you punched him. “Screw you.” you told him with a blank face. “I literally get no credit.” You groaned out and threw yourself back onto the deck floor. “We usually rely on y/n and her sister who have powers-” Steve jerked away from you. “But her sister lost hers and y/n has her powers still but uh there not very helpful.” you propped yourself up on your elbows and stared at steve.
“Dustin, you’re safe today, I'm gonna get steve.” you threatened as you got up and chased steve around. “We’re technically in a brainstorming phase.” Max told him. “There’s nothing to worry about.” Steve scoffed and nodded in agreement.
“So Hopper has powers?” Eddie asked with wide eyes. “Yep!” you replied as you tried to get steve. “What are they exactly?” you sighed and stopped following steve. “Well, I can move stuff, I could tell when my sister would try to find someone by using her powers and uh I can make people see shit that’s not really there-!” you smiled at your words. “What?” Steve asked as you smiled at him. “I can make people believe something’s there, we can defeat venca and i can make the police and everyone think someone else did the murder! That’s it!” you explained with a smile on your face. Eddie stared at you with wide eyes.
You all panicked when you heard sirens. “Shit!” Steve said as he looked towards the windows. “Tarp!” Robin told you and Eddie, you both quickly tossed it onto his body. Once he was covered you and the others ran to the windows and watched as the cars drove past the house. “Where do you think they’re going?” Robin asked out loud. “With that many cop cars, I'd assume vecna took another victim.” you told the others quietly as you watched more police cars drive past. “C’mon!” Steve said as he grabbed his car keys. You went to follow but stopped when Steve pointed at you. “Not you! You can stay and keep Eddie company.” You looked at Steve with an upset expression. “I told you earlier you can boss around the kids but not me!” you went to walk past steve but he nudged you back.
“Keep Eddie company and make sure no one comes here.” you groaned as Steve closed the boat house door. “Am I that bad?” Eddie asked as he laid in the boat with the tarp covering his legs. You sighed and walked back over. “No, I'm sorry.” you apologized and sat down on the deck, your feet in the boat. “What have you been doing to keep yourself busy while staying here?” you asked as you looked around the house. “I’ve been throwing paper into those old paint buckets.” he shrugged, now sitting up and looking at you.
It had been about two or three hours since the others left you and Eddie in the boat house. You two had been sitting in silence most of the time.
You sighed and put your hands in your jacket pockets, you smiled as you pulled out your deck of tarot cards you had stuffed into the jacket. “What are those?” he pointed to the deck of tarot cards. “Oh these are tarot cards.” you smiled and placed. You picked up the deck of cards. “Want a love reading?” you asked him. “Um, sure.” you smiled and helped him out of the boat and onto the deck. You both sat across from each other. You started to shuffle the deck. Eddie watched as you let the cards fall out of the deck “Are you gonna get those?” he asked you with a confused face.
“You can leave it!” you told him as the last card finally fell out. You smiled and collected the cards and laid them in between you and eddie. “Alright the first card is..the sun, this a good card, it’s about growth and good change. Like things are about to improve, that sorta thing!” Eddie nodded as you flipped the card rightside up. “Next, you got the two of cups, this one is about harmony and partnership. Balance between two opposing forces that whole deal.” you explained to him. As you flipped the card over.
“And the last one is the lovers card, which is about unity and harmony; follow your heart’s desire.” you smiled at him as he took in the reading. “And you got that all from those cards? That’s cool!” Eddie smiled back. “I know right! Jason and his idiot friends call me a witch for being into this kind of stuff. But Screw them and their shallow minded families.” Eddie smiled wider as he watched you rant about jason. “I’m sorry your girlfriend died.” you told him, which made eddie tilt his head at you.
“You know chrissy?” Eddie's eyes widened and he started to shake his head at you. “Oh no, we weren’t dating! She was dating jason.” he explained, which made your eyes widen. “Oh!” before either of you could say anything else you both turned to the walkie talkie, you had placed into the grocery bags. “Dustin! Do you copy?” Robin asked. “Yeah I copy.” he said out of breath.
“So, Nancy’s a genius! Vecna’s first victims date back all the way to 1959 Her shot in the dark was a bull’s-eye!” you and eddie were confused, since when did nancy join robin? “Ok, that's totally bonkers, but I can't really talk right now.” he said, still out of breath. “Wait what are you doing?” you and Eddie scooted closer to the walkie talkie. “Breaking and entering into the school, to retrieve confidential and extremely personal files.” you and Eddie look at each other with wide eyes. “They're doing what?!” “Can you repeat that?” Robin asked in shock.
“Just get your ass over here. Stat.” Dustin ordered. “Wait where’s y/n?” Robin asked. “I don’t know probably making out with eddie, she has a-!” You quickly grabbed the walkie talkie and screeched into it “Shut it henderson! WE have a walkie talkie as well!” you screeched into it. “Sorry! Sorry! I didn’t mean too!” He apologized. “You have a what?” Eddie asked with a smirk on his face. “Nothing, he’s just talk shit, like usual.” you flashed him a smile before walking over to the boat.
Somehow Steve and the others had forgotten to pick you up from the boat house. Leaving you no choice but to sleep in the boat house with eddie. You two decided to sleep on opposite ends of the boat but you both somehow ended up spooning.
You and Eddie woke up around the same time. You both had eaten most of the grocery and both woke up hungry, Eddie somehow managed to convince you into going inside reefer rick’s house.
You both searched the cabinets and pantry, trying to find any kind of food. “Nope!” “Nothing!” you groaned from the pantry. You turned as you heard Eddie snort. “Yeah, you’ll do.” you walked out and saw eddie getting a pot for spaghetti-O’s you laughed and walked up to him “What you don’t like these?” you asked as you opened up the can and poured it into the pot. “Not really.” he told you, you scoffed and turned to him. “Maybe you are a psycho. Who doesn’t like spaghetti-O's?!” you asked as you stirred them. “Oh, get me the other can!” he sighed and handed it to you.
After you had placed the food into bowls you quickly rushed to the bathroom due to an unexpected visit. “Hey Dustin, this is Eddie the banished. You there?” he said to the walkie talkie. “Dustin, can you hear me?” “Dustin?” you grabbed it from his hands and spoke into it “Earth to dustin.” Eddie sighed as he waited. “Hey, it’s nancy.” you groaned as you fixed your pants as you walked over to eddie.
“Wheeler, Hey! Me and y/n are gonna me food delivery very soon.” you grabbed the walkie talkie from his hands. “I need an extra special delivery nance! Very soon, unless you want me bleeding all over the deck floor!” you told her, which made eddie look at you with wide eyes. “No, no, no don’t do that we’ll bring you guys stuff. We’ll be there as soon as we can.” eddie quickly leaned over your shoulder to talk “yeah, yeah, yeah, listen could you pick me up a six pack? I know its stupid as shit to be drinking right now but a cold beer would really calm my jangled nerves.” nancy stayed quiet for a second. “Sure…wait y/n why are you with eddie?” you groaned.
“Oh because my lovely friends left me here overnight!” She stayed quiet for a second. “Uh, I'll call you back in a second.” “wait nance don’t you dare-!” it was too late she had left.
A Couple Of Hours Later
You both knelt down when you heard a car pull up, eddie turned and peaked out the window. “Shit, shit, shit!” he turned to you as he recognized who it was. “What?” you whispered. He said nothing and rushed to the other window. “What?” he turned to you for a second. “Jason and his friends!” your eyes widen. Eddie grabbed the walkie talkie and tried to get a hold of Dustin or the others.
An hour had gone by and Jason and his goons were still there. “Dustin, Please are you there?...Never mind!” you looked at him confused, he held out his hand. “Ladies first!” you looked at him confused as you got into the boat.
“I wish I didn’t skip gym!” you said as you helped eddie row the boat to the middle of the lake. “HEY FREAK!” you and Eddie turned and saw Jason and one of his buddy’s. “He’s talking to you. Not me!” you told him as you continued rowing. “WHERE DO YOU THINK YOUR GOING?!” “Shit.” Eddie looked at you for a moment before he started rowing. Eddie tried to start up the motor but it failed on you two.
You started to try and row faster as you saw Jason get into the water. “Forget it edward!” you told him as you paddled. “Shit, shit, shit!” Eddie cussed as they swam right behind the boat. You started swinging the paddle at Jason to keep him and his friend away. “Hey c’mon let's go, we almost have him! Patrick.” Jason told his friend, who looked frightened. Before you knew it his friend went under water for a minute before popping back in the air. You and Eddie fell out of the boat and into the water in shock at his friend’s body.
Jason was to distracted with his friend being dead that he didn’t notice in the moment you swam away with eddie. Andy had called the police and waited in the front of the house while Jason was in the backyard with Patrick's body.
The next morning you and Eddie had found a construction site. Eddie had the idea to wait and steal a walkie talkie from one of them, luckily one of them had to use the restroom so they took off their toolbelt, when one was looking Eddie grabbed it from the belt and made a run for it, you, following shortly behind him.
You two had somehow made it to skull rock. You chuckled as you both sat down on the ground to take a breather. Eddie tried to get ahold of Dustin and the others “Dustin, can you hear me? Wheeler?” Eddie spoke into the walkie talkie, you crossed your fingers in hopes of them finally answering you two.
“Eddie, holy shit, are you guys ok?” Eddie curled his finger before he rubbed his eyes and sighed. “Nah man. Me and y/n pretty damn far from okay.” you sighed and leaned your head against the rock. “Where are you guys?” Dustin asked. “Uh, skull rock you know it?” he asked Dustin, “Steve does!” you chuckled to yourself. “Uh, yeah that’s near, Cornwallis and uh-!” “yeah, I know where it is.” Steve could be heard in the back.
“Hold tight, we’re coming. We’re coming!” you and Eddie sighed at his words. “I’ve seen some fucked up shit but that! Was a whole new level of fucked up!” you confessed to Eddie as you both leaned against the rocks. You both stayed quiet for a bit before he broke the silence. “You’re not like how everyone claims you to be, you know y/n?” you looked at him confused. “What like a witch?” you smirked.
“No, everyone claimed you were this mean, bitchy and unapproachable girl, but you're just a big secret nerd on the inside!” you both smiled at his words. “Well, you’re also not how i expected you to be either, i thought you were this weird, mean dungeon master, but you’re very fluffy yourself!” Eddie chuckled, “You got the weird part right.” you laughed and got up and walked around the rock.
“If we make it out of this weird situation, do you think we could uh, never mind.” you turned to eddie. “If we could, what?” he shook his head at you. “It’s nothing, it’s stupid.” you walked over and sat next to him. “Tell me please” He opened his mouth to talk but quickly closed it and dragged you behind a rock to hide as you both heard footsteps coming closer to you two. “Bada bing, bada boom. There she is, Henderson,” Steve held back a bush and went through, the others following.
“Skull rock, in your face man. In your stupid, cocky little face.” Dustin looked at his compass confused. “Doesn’t make sense.” “Yeah, yeah, even with it staring at you in  the face you can’t admit it. You can’t admit it, you can’t admit that you were wrong, you butthead .” Steve said with his hands on his hips, in full mom mode now. Eddie jumped down from the rock he hid behind, scaring dustin.
“I can concur, you Dustin Henderson are a total butthead.” He sighs as he pulls up his pants a bit. You sighed and went to crawl off the rock, you had no clue how Eddie decided to jump off of it. “Jesus, we thought you guys were goners.” Dustin told you and Eddie as he walked over to hug eddie. “Yeah, me too man.” Eddie confessed as he hugged Dustin back awkwardly. Steve ran over and helped you climb down from the rock and onto the ground. Eddie and Steve had a quiet stare off for a moment before the others came walking up.
You sat next to Eddie who drank out of a flask. “When we swam to shore, I tried to call you guys but uh-!” He took another swig. “Our walkie was busted, drenched so we pulled an eddie and uh ran.” you explained, eddie looked at you slightly offended. “Do you know what time the attack happened?” Nancy asked you both. “Yeah, I know exactly what time it was, our walkie wasn’t the only thing that got soaked.” he tossed Nancy his watch. “9:27!” Robin nodded. “The same time our flashlights went kablooey.” you watched as Dustin kept pacing “Which means, what exactly?” “That the surge of energy was venca attacking patrick.” Nancy tossed Eddie his watch back.
“Now we need to go to the upside down and drive a stake into his heart.” Max sighed “Why a stake? Is he like a vampire? Is he a vamp?” Steve asked, confused. “It’s a metaphor.” you explained. “A bullet should work on him, right?” Eddie asked out loud. “I say we chop his head off!” you looked at lucas with wide eyes. “I would say all of the above but we can’t do any of that til we find a way to the upside down.” “We need El to get her powers back.” Max sighed.
“Everything was way easier when we had this girl, she had super powers.” You looked at Max and Steve offended, You stood up. “Screw you! Damn you want a gate try the murder spots...” you groaned out. “Hey uh, henderson isn’t cursed is he?” Eddie asked as he noticed Dustin pacing around. “Cursed, no he’s fine, mental..absolutely!” “BOOM!” you all looked at dustin, confused. “Bada, bada, boom! I was right! Skull rock is north.” Steve looked at Dustin “Seriously? You’re serious?” “mmhmm!” Steve crossed his arms. “This is skull rock. Okay? You’re totally, absolutely, 100% wrong, right now!” Dustin nodded at him. “Yes and no.” Steve groaned and ran his hands through his hair in frustration.
“Oh my god!” he said quietly. “The compass worked correctly when we left the wheeler’s, it was working on curly but it started to slip the further east we went. Now it’s way off.” Everyone looked at each other confused. “When I was leading us here, I wasn't wrong. The compass was!” “So you’re using faulty equipment! You’re still wrong!” Steve sighed. “Except it isn’t faulty. Lucas, do you remember what can affect a compass?” Lucas itched the back of his head. “An electromagnetic field!” “Yep!”
Dustin smiled at steve. “I’m sorry I must've skipped that class?” Robin told him. “In the presence of a stronger electromagnetic field, the needle will reflect towards that power. So either there’s a giant magnet around here or…” “There’s a gate!” “But we’re nowhere near a lab?” Nancy said out loud. “But what if there’s other gates, smaller, less powerful” “A snack size gate?” “exactly!” “But how, why?” Steve asked dustin. “No idea but all i know is that something is causing this disturbance, and last time we saw something like this it was a gate.”
You looked at everyone with wide eyes before groaning. “Why does no one listen to me! I might join vecna’s team at this point! At least then he might listen to my ideas!” you sighed at them. You stood up and made your way to where they all came through. “Hey! Where do you think you’re going? Eddie’s still a wanted man, we can’t exactly walk through the woods!” you rolled your eyes at steve. “Oh my god steve, there’s a spider on your head!” you squealed, making him and the others panic. “Kill it!” he screamed as nancy ‘’picked it off’’ his head.
You watched them with a smirk as you made the group hallucinate, killing the spider. “Oh god..” Steve sighed and looked up at your smirking face. “What?” “There was nothing there dingus.” Eddie looked at you with wide eyes. “Why does everyone forget I have powers too, good ones at that!” you muttered under your breath as they all looked at you. “C’mon before I actually decide to join team vecna!” You yelled at the group. You stopped and waited for eddie. Who went to grab his flask and walkie talkie.
It had been about 2-ish hours when dutsin finally found the lake. You groaned as he led you all to where Patrick had died. He would’ve walked right into the water if Eddie hadn’t pulled him back a bit. “Oh man, you gotta be shitting me!”
Steve said out of breath. “Call it!” you yelled and smiled as you were right about the murder spots being portals. “I thought these woods were familiar.” Eddie replied. “Lover’s lake..” robin sighed. “My house is over there then what the fuck?! I’ve been near Eddie this whole damn time!” you muttered.
“There’s a gate in lover’s lake?” Max asked, confused as everyone stared at the water before them. “Patrick died here so I assume so” you shrugged. “Only one way to find out.” you and Eddie looked over and saw a boat. You both walked over and yanked the tarp off. You coughed as dusk flew off of the tarp. “It’s in my lungs!” you dry coughed. Eddie smiled and patted your back as you coughed it out.
Steve and Eddie placed the boat into the lake. “Easy, I said, easy man!” Steve bossed Eddie as they held it down. “Sorry dude.” Eddie apologized as robin used his and steve’s head to help stabilize herself into the boat. “That’ll work too I guess.” Steve said quietly. Eddie quickly got in and held his hand out to help Nancy in. Dustin went to walk onto the boat but Eddie pushed him back. “Are you trying to sink us?” You held back a laugh at his words. “This thing holds three people tops, okay?”
Dustin stared at Eddie with an offended expression. “It’s better this way! You look after Max and keep an eye out for trouble.” Dustin scoffed. “You keep an eye out! It’s my theory!” you groaned. “You heard nance!” Robin chimed in “Who put her in charge?” “I did.” you giggled “Compass.” Nancy held her hand out to Dustin, who groaned before reluctantly handing it over.
“Here y/n!” Steve tossed you the backpack. You groaned at the weight. “Where are you going harrington?!” he smirked, he quickly pushed the boat a bit before getting in. “You asshole! You said three!” you groaned at steve. “Sorry,” he whispered. You rolled your eyes before you walked over to the rocks where Max and Lucas sat, waiting.
“Bedtime at nine kiddos!” you and Dustin flipped off the others as they paddled away. “Miss you already!” Robin waved.
“I don’t regret making Steve believe he had a spider in his hair anymore.” you told the other as you all watched them paddle to the middle of the lake. Lucas and Dustin took turns looking through a pair of binoculars. “Wait, wait they’re stopping!” Lucas told dustin. “Why are they stopping?” he questioned, squinting his eyes trying to see what they were doing.
Dustin picked up the walkie talkie. “Guys what’s going on?” Silence is what Dustin was met with. “C’mon talk to me guys, what’s going on?” you and max watched as the pair got robin to answer. “Uh, dustin your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital aah!” you raised an eyebrow at her words.
“Ugh, when did Steve get so hairy!” Lucas shuttered, “Right! I keep telling him he needs to tame that jungle but he claims that the ladies dig it.” you quickly got up with max and walked over to the boys. “Let me see.” Max grabbed the binoculars from Lucas and stared right a steve. For about thirty seconds she stared at him uninterrupted, Lucas, Dustin and yourself all looked at each other in shock. “Y/n don’t be shocked! You’d do the same if it was eddie!” Dustin smacked your arm as you watched Max stare at him. You turned your head as you heard a snicker come from the walkie in Dustin's hand.
You smacked his arm and grabbed it from his hands. “Shut up dustin! He heard you!” you fell onto the rocks and held your head as Eddie tried his best to peek at you from the boat. “You guys realize if there’s a gate down there it’s a watergate.” Dustin laughed at his own words. Lucas and Max just stared at him blankly “I’m so hungry, I thought you were talking about watergate salad right now..” you confessed.
A minute had gone by, you snapped your head as you heard footsteps and police walkies. You panicked and shoved Dustin “What y/n! No, Eddie isn’t shirtless!” he groaned. “Police!” you pointed behind you. They noticed the flashlights and quickly ran into the woods.
“Stay with me!” Max told you, Lucas and Dustin before she stood up from behind the log you all were hiding from.
“Hey officers over here! I found the killer!” Max yelled out, making your eyes widen at her. “Shit!” “Go!” Dustin and Lucas ran behind you and max. Dustin tripped and was caught by a police officer. You three stopped and were also caught along with dustin.
They had dragged you all to the wheeler’s house where the kids' parents were. “What exactly were you all doing at the lake?” powell asked your four, the kids all sat on the couch, you stood behind them. “We were umm…” they all looked at each other. “We were going for a walk powell.” you told him with a straight face. “A walk at 9 pm?” Callahan asked you clearly not buying it. “To the lake..we were gonna take a swim..” Dustin squeaked out. “Dusty, Someone was just murdered there!” Ms Henderson told him, close to crying. “Yeah, we didn’t know till we got there..”
“That’s why we didn’t swim!” Lucas chimed in. You scoffed as callahan eyed you suspiciously. “And was Nancy with you at this late night swim?” Mrs Wheeler asked you four, you all stared at each other before answering all at once. “No.” “yes!” “nope!” “yeah she was there!” you all looked at each other with wide eyes, “She was there but she needed to leave mrs wheeler.” you explained politely.
“It’s all a little confusing.” “And that’s when you guys came!” you nodded at lucas. “Yeah, and they dared me to say what I said…about the killer,” Dustin and Lucas chuckled, while you let out a sigh. “Have any of you had contact with eddie?” powell asked looking at you four, “that psycho…killer freak?! God no.” Dustin squeezed the pillow he held.
“Nope, absolutely not.” “No, never heard of him..” you held back a groan at the kid's answers. “That’s a bunch of bull.” Erica said, stepping forward. Her and lucas’ parents scolded her “I mean, you realize they’re lying to you! The whole couch is on fire.” she replied sassily.
“Are you lying to these policemen, dusty?” you felt bad for lying to Ms Henderson. “No, he would never miss henderson!” you replied before Dustin would give himself away. The parents started to argue over Mr Wheeler's comment. “Shut up!” Powell yelled over everyone, causing them to lower their voices. “We’re gonna try a more civilized approach. One at a time.” He announced, everyone nodded at his words.
“You two first!” You pointed at yourself and max as Powell stared at you. “Why me! I’m not even in hellfire!” Max groaned and followed two other officers to a different room. “Why me! I don’t even know Eddie like that!” It was somewhat a lie, you and Eddie had got to know each other very well in the past two days of being on the run with him. “Follow me.” powell walked out of the room, you scoffed at him. “Do I need to cuff you?” you stuck your hands out at callahan. “Could you blindfold me as well?!” you told him snarkily before you walked into a spare room the wheeler’s had, callahan following behind you.
You sighed as you sat down on the bench at the end of the bed. “Ms hopper, jason accused you of being at a murder sight of another student, if tell us now and you won’t be in that much trouble.” Powell calmly explained to you. You sighed and looked at the pair “You’d take Jason's word over mine!” you placed your hand over your heart, acting offended. The pair groaned as they tried to get you to open up.
“You think I'd help that- that satanic son of a bitch?!” you told the pair as you paced around the room. “I told you already I was at my house when the others came and asked if I wanted to go for a swim. If you need certain details of what I was doing then I was putting away my dead father’s clothes!” you had participated in the drama club so you really weren’t a stranger to crying on queue. The pair panicked and ended their investigation with you and went out to tell the adults. You sighed and wiped away your fake tears.
“So anything from either of them?” Mrs Wheeler asked as Max put her headphones back on. You sighed and noticed Dustin waving you and max over, you elbowed her and nodded your head towards Dustin's. You both looked at the adults before walking over to him. “Miss Mayfield and Mrs hopper's stories make sense, they really went for a night swim.” Powell explained as he looked at the notes from Max's investigation.
“Honestly I shouldn't have gone with Hopper first, she’s a cryer and kinda mean.” Callahan added. The parents nodded. “We’ll find your daughter Mrs Wheeler, don’t worry.” “I just know one of these little brats is gonna squeal, I just know it! Where are they?” Callhan asked another officer. “Upstairs, moping.” Callahan nodded and walked upstairs to Nancy's bedroom. He could hear whispering.
“Let officer callahan in..” he waited a minute before opening the door, he looked around and saw the open bedroom window and ran over.
“I’m gonna break my fucking ankles if I fall, henderson!” You whisper yelled to Dustin as you tied up the old skates Nancy had in her closet, “Not my fault you don’t know how to ride a bike y/n!” he sassed at you as he tied a rope for you to his bike.
“Hey! Excuse me, Get back here!” You all jumped, you sighed and picked up the pocket knife from your pockets and looked back up at Callahan, “Sorry phil!” you told the man before slashing the police car tires and skated towards Dustin's bike. “GO!” you told the teen as you held tightly to the rope. The parents had heard the yelling and ran outside but it was too late, you all were riding/skating away from the house.
You all had made it to Eddie and Max's trailer park. You all rushed inside. “Ugh, why does it look like that?! It looked like a 13 year old’s acne” You groaned as you looked up and saw the portal. “Get me something sharp!” you looked around and spotted an old broom against the wall. You quickly grabbed it and started stabbing it through the ceiling.
“Eww, it crunched! It’s a crunchy pimple” you squealed and shoved the broom through. Goo fell onto the other side. “Gross it was like a pimple, ugh!” you gagged and tossed the broom through. “No way.” You all could hear steve. Dustin laughed as he looked at the others through the ceiling. “Hi there!” you all waved. Everyone laughed in shock of your theory being right about murder spots being portal’s.
“Holy shit, this is trippy.” you nodded at robin’s words. “Let's get sheets and something soft for their landing!” you order the kids around. Lucas and Dustin tied sheets and blankets together while you, Erica and Max went into Eddie's room and got his mattress.
“IS THAT AN ALF COSTUME!” You laughed hard as you saw Eddie's closet wide open. “More importantly is that what I think it is?” Max pointed to the pack of trojans on his nightstand. Your eyes widen at them. You kept bursting into giggles as you stared at the pack of condoms then towards his bed that had random stains.
“Lucas! You help them, I'll help dustin!” you giggled as you walked out of eddie’s room. You noticed when Max and Lucas pushed Eddie's mattress out, Max was barely touching it.
“Those stains are uhh, i don’t know what those stains are…” you laughed as you finished tying the sheets and blankets together. You handed dustin the pile of tied fabric. “I don’t know how these psychics work but uh, here goes nothing!” he threw the sheets up into the portal, the others let it pile onto the floor. Dustin sighed and let go of the sheets. You all clapped as it stayed still with their weight on it.
“Guess I'm a guinea pig!” Robin told Nancy and the boys as she climbed the makeshift rope. “Oh thank god.” she sighed out as she sat up on the mattress. Nancy, Steve and Eddie stared at each other before Eddie spoke up, “Alright I guess I'll go!” he sighed and hopped onto the rope and climbed through. “That was fun!” He grabbed Dustin's hand and got up from the mattress. “See you on the other side.” Steve told Nancy who chuckled “See you on the other side.” She hopped onto the rope and climbed through. You smiled and went to turn to Eddie but froze as you saw a burnt version of your father and a bruised El,
Will had written to you and told you she had bullies at their school, you had always stuck on your mind.
“E-el?” You stuttered out, frightened by the sight. “It was your fault I lost my powers y/n!” el said as she held her bloody, broken arm. You took deep breaths and tried to remind yourself it was just vecna trying to get to you. “No it wasn’t jane!” You told the girl and you looked around and tried to leave the cabin that was destroyed. Once you exited you saw what you assumed to be vecna’s lair or his home. You walked down the steps and jumped as you heard a clock chime behind you.
“You and your friends were so close to finding out the truth about me!” you jumped and turned behind you, looking for where the voice had come from. “Tell me how is eleven?” you tried to ignore his voice and kept looking around “I’ve been meaning to check on her but as you can tell i’ve been busy!” You jumped back as you saw the mutilated bodies of chrissy cunningham, fred benson and patrick mckinney. You looked around and noticed a door with a rose on it.
You watched as Vecna showed you his life growing up with his powers. “Me and you are alike y/n, i didn’t fit in with the other children either. Something was wrong with me, all my doctors and teachers told my parents I was broken like yours.” You watched a younger venca sadly at his new house. “My parents decided a fresh start in Hawkins would cure me, you understand that pain don’t you y/n?” you sighed as you remember after your mother had left you and your dad, he had moved on and married another woman named Diane, they had a daughter together, but sadly she soon left him after Sara had passed away due to cancer. Your dad had enough and moved you two back to Hawkins, Indiana for a new sour start.
“As if the world would be different there right?” you nodded your head and listened to venca as he showed you more memories. He explained his home had come with a nest of black widows in the vents and how he loved them, since they were similar to him.
“Deeply misunderstood. Like us y/n.” you watched the surroundings change into the attic of the creel house, where young venca had a small shrine towards the spiders. It all changed quickly, you were now outside where you witnessed him kill poor rabbits just like he had killed the other students.
You couldn’t stand it and ran inside the house where you heard vecna once more. “My parents had done terrible things y/n” you looked around as you heard a baby crying. “I showed them who they really were. I held up a mirror to them. My naive father thought it was a demon, cursing them for their sins.” You watched the memories he showed around you. “Our mother’s were alike, they both despised us for our powers, my mother knew I was holding up that mirror, she called a doctor, an expert. She wanted to have me locked away, to fix me. Just like yours tried y/n.” you were surprised when he showed you your own memory.
You watched as little you had heard yelling from the living room, so of course hid behind the stair railing and listened to your parents bicker.
“She needs to be sent away jim! She gave two kids broken noses at her school after they stole her toy! That doesn’t sound like a NORMAL six year old to me jim!” you felt tears build up as you watched younger you hold back tears as well as she listened to your mother talk about you as if you weren’t her own daughter.
“You are not sending her away y/m/n! I won’t let you!” your father stood up from his spot on the couch. “Well then I'm leaving you with that vicious demon I called a daughter!” you counted down the second and on queue she slammed the front door and never came back. You blinked and you were back to venca’s memories. “She left me with no choice.” you watched as younger vecna used his powers to kill his own mother.
“With each life I took, I grew stronger, more powerful.” you watched as his father took him and his sister away from their mother’s corpse. “They were becoming a part of me. But I was just a child, and I did not know my limits yet. And it nearly killed me. you watched as he tried to kill his father as well but failed due to him passing out.
You watched as the police held his father up against a wall and arrested him. “He was arrested, blamed for the death of my sister and mother, just as I planned.” you sighed as you watched the police take away his father. “But I was far from free, I woke up from a coma only to find myself placed in the care of a doctor, the very doctor I hoped to escape. Dr martin brenner.” you watched as a young brenner walked into the room.
“But the truth is he did not just want to study me. He wanted more, he wanted more control. When papa realized he couldn’t control me, he tried to recreate me.” you watched as Brenner tattooed 001 onto his wrist. “He began a program. And soon, others were born, you were born. And I'm so glad you were y/n!” you shivered as a younger, human version of himself walked closer to you and cradled you in his arms.
“I was glad your own sister was born until she betrayed me and sent me away!” he seethed and showed you, a very young el sending vecna away to the upside down. You looked around as the surroundings changed back to Brenner giving vecna his tattoo. “See there’s nothing to be afraid of is there..y/n?” you froze as Brenner looked up at you. “Take a seat and I'll fix yours!” you shook your head and ran away from vecna or brenner, whoever it was. You groaned as you kept bumping into the walls of the lab.
Meanwhile…
“Y/N! STAY WITH ME, ALRIGHT! HURRY UP OVER THERE!” Steve yelled to the back of the trailer.  “HURRY UP!” Erica nodded and ran into Eddie's bedroom where it was torn apart, trying to find any kind of music. “Steve said you need to hurry!” She informed them, going through Eddie's drawers hoping to find a walkman as well. “Yeah, NO SHIT!” Dustin yelled from the closet, Lucas behind him as well. “We’re trying. We can’t find anything.” Max told her while she and Nancy held up cassette tapes of metal bands. “Seriously what is all this shit?!” Robin asked eddie. “What are you even looking for?” Eddie questioned getting a shoebox with tapes in it. “Madonna, blondie, Bowie, beatles! Music we need music!” Eddie looked at Robin with wide eyes “This is music!” he argued back. “What’s her favorite song? Does anyone know?!” Nancy asked out loud which made everyone stop to think for a minute.
“Metallica! Something about balls and trolls!” Eddie stared at Dustin confused before it clicked. “For whom the bell tolls!” Eddie quickly pushed Robin over and grabbed the tape and his tape deck and ran into the living room where Steve was holding you down, hoping you wouldn’t float up.
“I got it harrington!” Steve let go of you and helped Eddie place the tape in while Eddie placed the earphone over your ears.
You groaned as you turned the corner and saw the door barricaded by wood panels. You managed to pry two off the door before you froze as vecna called out for you. You slowly turned and watched as he walked over “What are you doing? It’s not time for you to leave.” you quickly turned back around and tried to pry off the wood panels. “We’re just alike y/n. Join me, why don’t you.” you sighed and grabbed a plank from the floor and swung it at him.
“Or don’t! See what happens to Hawkins then..” you quickly pried off the last plank and ran through the lab door. “Take your seat y/n!” you froze as Brenner stood in front of you. The room had gone pitch black. It was a minute before it came back on and there you were strapped into the chair.
You moved around, trying to worm your way out of the chair as vecna walked closer. “I want you to tell eleven, I want you to tell her, everything you see.” he told you, lifting his hand up towards your head.
Flashes of the creel house falling apart, Eddie's trailer being split into two, A clock chiming, the ground being split like Eddie's trailer. “Tell her...everything” he leaned in closer. “NO!” you thrashed around. He continued to show you flashes of Hawkins being split into two, Eddie with blood on him, your dad alive and fighting something, el with brenner.
“WHY ISN’T WORKING?!” Steve yelled to Nancy and Robin as they watched you, still under vecna’s trance. “I don’t know! It should’ve worked by now!” Robin panicked as everyone watched you, carefully.
You gasped and fell back as you were finally free from vecna’s trance. “Y/N!” Steve hugged you as he held your body from hitting the floor fully.
You panicked and looked around the trailer. “It’s okay, you’re alright y/n!” Eddie helped calm you as you looked at him and still seeing the flash of him with blood all over. “We’re all here y/n!” Steve helped sit you up. Max guided everyone across the street and into her trailer.
“He showed me things that haven’t happened yet. The most awful things, worse than what we’ve dealt with.” you told everyone who raised an eyebrow at your words.
“There was a dark cloud over hawkins. Downtown was on fire, the ground was split into two, so was the old creel house and Eddie's trailer. And don’t get me started about how he showed el or, or my dad!” you stood up from the chair and paced around the small living room, thinking about the visions he had shown you. “There were dead creatures and this giant creature, with a big gaping mouth and that thing wasn’t alone either there was a shit load of monsters.” Erica, Eddie and Steve watched as you paced in front of them.
“An army and they were coming into Hawkins, into our neighborhoods. Our homes and then he showed me my dad alive but he was fighting something and, el she was with Brenner again too! Which isn’t possible cause Joyce has her safe and sound…I hope she does.” You stopped pacing and thought back to the vision of Jane with brenner.
“He was just trying to scare you y/n.” Steve looked up at you as you shook your head at him. “He kept telling me we were alike, our powers are strong, our mothers despise us, our parents moved us to Hawkins for a new start.”
“He kept telling me to join him and he tried to do the same with el when they were both in the lab, but she sent him the upside down I assume.” “Yeah but it’s not real.” you sighed at Steve “Yet steve! It’s not real YET!”
“He showed me gates, there were four gates. Spread out hawkins, the gates looked like the one in eddie’s trailer.” you explained to everyone. “They didn’t stop growing either and this wasn’t upside down hawkins, this was our own hawkins.” Everyone stayed quiet, processing your words.
“Four chimes.” Max was the first to speak, everyone turned to her, confused. “Vecna’s clock, it always chimes four times.” Max looked over at you. “Four exactly.” “I heard ‘em too.” you and max rolled your eyes as you both realized what it meant. “He’s been telling us his plan, this whole damn time.” you scoffed and sat down across steve, eddie and erica.
“Four kills, four gates. End of the world.” Lucas said, looking between you and max.
“If that’s true, he’s only a kill away.” Everyone sighed at Dustin's words. “Jesus christ!” Eddie groaned as he rubbed his face with his hands, “Try ‘em again, Try ‘em again!” Steve told Max who nodded and went to call Joyce's house for the fifth time.
“Anything?” Dustin asked. “No. it rang but it went back to a busy signal.” Steve and you groaned. “Maybe you punched it in wrong, call again!” Steve groaned. “I didn’t punch it in wrong.” Max argued back.
“Well, I don’t know?!” “I think she knows how to use a phone.” “I’m just saying, she could’ve typed it wrong!” Steve told Dustin as he ran his hands through his hair. “Same shit.” you groaned and slouched into your seat. You went to look over to Max but quickly sat back up when you saw El's shadow behind her.
“How is that possible?” “I told you Joyce has this telemarketer job, she’s always on the phone!” Dustin reminds lucas. “Mike won’t stop whining about it.” You didn’t break your stare from your sister’s shadow. “The phone’s been busy for what, three days now? That’s not Joyce, no way somethings wrong.” You made a sound of agreement with Max, a small smile on your face, realizing El needed to have her powers to find someone.
“That fucking shithead!” you muttered as you watched the shadow stand next to max.
“What?” Eddie asked you, you looked away from the shadow at him. “It’s nothing!” you reassured him before going back to watching the shadow. “Whatever's happening in Lenora is connected to this! I’m sure of it. But vecna can’t hurt them.” Nancy said as she looked out the window.
“Not if he’s dead! We have to go back to the upside down” you turned to nancy with wide eyes. Eddie and Steve let out a bunch of no’s and nope’s at nance’s idea. “Let’s think this through!” Steve stood up and walked over to her. “What is there to think through?” she asked. “We barely made it out of there!” “Yeah, because we weren’t prepared. But this time we will be, we’ll get weapons and protection. We go through the gate and we'll find his lair and kill him!” you sighed as you got up and sat next to eddie who already looked stressed. You rubbed his back in comfort.
“Or he’ll kill us! Y/n only survived because he wanted her too! He’s not scared of us!” “For good reason, we were wrong about venca. Henry. One, sorry what are we calling him now?” Robin asked, confused. “One” “Vecna” “one “ “henry” “henry” “vecna” you all looked at each other confused. “Right, we’ve learned something new about vecna/henry/one. He’s a number like eleven and y/n, only he’s a sick, evil, male with child murdering version of them with really bad skin! But my point is, he’s super powerful. He could turn us inside out with a snap of his fingers. It’s not a fair fight!” “Why fight fair?!”
“You’re right but that gives us an upper hand, we know y/n and eleven's strengths and weaknesses.” you smiled as you played with eddie’s somewhat knotted hair. “Weaknesses?” Erica asked, turning to dustin. “When they both remote travel, they both go into a trance state. I bet it’s the same with vecna!” you smirked and looked at the shadow behind max and lucas.
“That would explain what he was doing in the attic!” “Exactly! I bet when he attacks his next victim, he’s back in that attic, physical body defenseless.”
“Defenseless, what about the army of bats?!” Steve asked. “Give ‘em a distraction! If they’re distracted they can’t hurt anyone meaning vecna is severely and royally screwed if he’s alone” you smiled at the pair. “And how do we do that exactly?” Eddie turned to you. “Not sure yet.” you groaned and fell back into the couch “Y/n’s right! He won’t stand a chance, it’ll be like slaying a sleeping dracula in his coffin.”
“That sounds good in theory, but there is no pattern to vecna’s killings. At least not one I can decipher” You sighed. “We don’t know who he’s gonna attack.” “Yeah we do.” Everyone turned to max.
“I can still feel him, and y/n’s now marked two so either of us could be his next kill…one of us could ditch our songs and focus him on us.” She explained to the others, you quietly groaned as you watched the shadow behind Max.
“Now she knows!” Eddie turned to you with a concerned look. “I’ll keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into the attic. Then you can chop his head off. Stab him in the heart, blow him up with some explosive dustin cooks up. I honestly don’t care how you kill this asshole. Just, try not to miss.”
Everyone stayed silent, trying to figure out an official plan. “Where do we even go for the supplies!” Robin asked, Eddie jumped up and ran to grab the newspaper.
“Check it out. The warzone. I’ve been there once, it’s huge! It has everything you would need for um…killing things!” Eddie explained as he placed a newspaper on the table for everyone to see the ad for the store.
”Is that a grenade! Look how any of this legal?!” Robin asked as she looked down at the flyer. “Well luckily for us it is! This place is just right outside of hawkins! As long as we stay clear of main roads we can avoid cops or uh angry hicks…” he said with an uncomfortable smile on his face.
“If we’re trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn’t go to some place called the warzone!” Dustin pointed at Erica, silently agreeing with her. “Normally I would agree with you but we need the weapons, so i think it’s worth the risk!” Nancy said as she crossed her arms over her chest. “Me too!” Erica looked at Lucas surprised. “But It'll take all day to bike from here to there!” Dustin said with a groan.
“Who said anything about biking?” Eddie said as he stood up straight. “What? Do you have a car we don’t know about?” Steve asked, confused. “It’s not exactly a car steve! And it’s not exactly mine, but it’ll do.” Eddie said with a smile. Everyone looked at each other confused.
“Hey, red, you got a ski mask or a bandana, something like that?” Max thought about it for a minute before running to her room. Eddie waited till you all were outside to put on the mask. “I’m gonna pee!” You said as you leaned onto Robin, laughing at Eddie in the mask.
“Y/n, Shush!” Steve shushed you as they all peaked out behind Max's trailer.
“Sorry!” you told Steve, still letting out giggles every now and then. You all followed Eddie as he made his way to his neighbor’s RV. You all ran behind the side of it and waited as Eddie opened the window and crawled into the RV. “Damn..” you whispered to yourself as you watched Eddie hop in “Y/n! Stop looking at his ass!” Steve whispered-yelled at you. “I’m going, I’m going!” you hopped up and had steve help you crawl in fully.
Once in, he ran to the front of the RV, locking the door as he went by. You helped the others get in while Steve walked up to the front with eddie. “Where did you learn how to do all this?” Steve asked Eddie as he hotwired the RV. “Well, while all the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish, or play baseball, my old man was teaching how to hotwire.” you and robin looked at each other shocked at his words.
“Now, I swore to myself I wouldn’t wind up like he did, but now i’m wanted for murder, and so grand theft auto! So I’m really living up to that munson name!” He smiled at steve. “Kinda hot, if you ask me!” you muttered, earning a head shake of disapproval from Dustin and lucas. “He learned how to hot wire as a child and my dad taught me how to shoot a gun! We’re a good pair!” you smirked at the boys, shutting the window you all came through.
“Uh, Eddie, I’m not really sure I love the idea of you driving!” Robin told him, over Steve's shoulder. “Oh I'm just starting this sucker. Harrington’s got her, don’t ya big boy!” Steve looked at Eddie shocked. You all jumped as the RV started up and the owner’s started banging on the door. “EVERYONE HOLD ON TO SOMETHING!” Steve warned, giving everyone a split second to grab something before driving out of the trailer park.
“Oh my god! Oh my god!” Lucas and Erica held onto the bar near the door’s entrance. Dustin and Max holding onto the seat cushions they sat on. Nancy, Robin, yourself and Eddie holding onto the car’s dinner table area.
You giggled as you looked up at Eddie on the top of the table booth seat. “Oh they don’t look happy! DRIVE STEVE DRIVE!” Dustin told Steve who pressed the gas pedal and sharply turned the RV, thrashing everyone around in the back.
“I mean it’s not everyday you lose your car and house in one fell swoop!” Robin told Dustin as her and Nancy held onto for dear life.
“Are you head banging?!” you giggled as you watched Eddie, above you. “Maybe, or it’s Steve's driving!” you both smiled at each other. Once Steve had gotten on the road everyone in the back calmed down and got to sit in comfortable positions. You and robin smiled at each other as nancy when to sit by steve mid drive.
You sighed as Dustin sat down in front of you. “What?” you asked him as he gave you a look. “Why don’t you tell Eddie about your feelings for him?” you raised your eyebrows at his words before looking around the RV, robin, eddie and erica were out cold. Lucas and Max were too busy with their own conversation. “I don't know henderson!” you shrugged. “Bullshit!” you turned your head towards steve and nancy up front. “Not bullshit actually.” he rolled his eyes at you.
“Ok, maybe I'm scared that if I have my dad’s curse and one day he’ll disappear or leave me, I guess..I mean look at my dad, mom, el!” you explained. “Eddie’s not like that y/n! He won’t just randomly one day leave you.” Dustin told you.
“You never know! I didn’t think my dad would die and el would leave to go live in cali without me.” Dustin got up from his side of the booth and walked over to hug you. You laughed a bit as he squeezed you.
You dozed off for about 20 minutes before you got shaken awake by robin, telling you all had arrived at the store. Yourself, Max, Robin, Erica, steve and nancy got out of the RV and made your way into the store. ”So much for avoiding angry hicks!” “It looks like hickville in here...jesus christ..” you said as you all walked in and looked around the store. “Let’s be fast!” you all agreed and split up. You walked around the store with a handheld basket and picked up a lighter and lots of lighter fluid, you grabbed three boxes of nails as well.
You walked over to Nancy at the gun case. “Hi, could we see that one please!” you smiled as the attendant got it down and handed it to you. “Try this one nance. That’ll do nothing to vecna.” you told her, handling her the rifle. She cocked it and nodded at you. “How much is this?” The attendants looked over at you both. “120.99 but I'll throw in 20 rounds of buckshot for ya!” you both nodded at him.
“Hey, could I see this pretty .357, please?” your eyes widen at the voice next to you. Nancy and you slowly looked over to jason. “Here you go son.” “Thank you.” Jason stopped as he looked over. You quickly used your powers to hide yourself. You walked away from him but bumped into two other jocks, that broke your focus and showed yourself to them. You recognize one as Andy, he was there the night Patrick died.
“Y/n?” You looked at Andy before quickly running over to nancy. “What are you doing here, hopper?” You shrugged at jason. “I could ask you the same thing!” he walked closer to you. “I know what you did.” you didn’t flinch as he got up close to you. “Good, now leave me be, before I give you the same fate as your girlfriend!” You smirked at him. “Let’s go y/n!” Steve moved you and Nancy away from jason.
You looked back at him and watched as he ran to go get his other friends. You groaned as you walked behind the store and into the RV. “What happened!” Lucas asked you and steve. “Gotta go!” Steve told them, sitting in the front seat. “Your old friends are here!” Erica explained, throwing a bag onto the table. “Y/n threatened Jason too!” Eddie looked at you with wide eyes as you sat down next to robin. Steve quickly started the RV and drove out of the store’s parking lot.
“Oh! Steve, stop here!” you told him as you saw a sign for a small convenience store. “What why?!” you thought for an excuse. “I have to get something here!” “Like what y/n?!” You sighed, did it really come down to this excuse... “I have my period steve!” you yelled, which made Steve quickly turn into the store’s parking lot. You quickly sighed and got out of the RV and ran inside the store and went right to the hair products and grabbed five cans of hairspray. You smiled as the cashier handed you the bags with the hairspray cans.
You quietly got back into the RV, Steve was silent the whole ride. You smiled as he pulled into an empty field near a very empty road. You all unloaded and grabbed the stuff you had bought from the warzone.
You walked with Eddie and Dustin and helped them make their shields. “Ow! My finger!” Dustin groaned as he accidentally smashed his pointer finger with the hammer. “Give it here, tiny child!” you stuck your hand out for the hammer, and got to work. “How’s she feeling?” Dustin asked Eddie, who acted like he was using it. “Light but durable. Deadly. But reliable!” the pair chuckled as you hammered the last nail into Dustin's shield.
“Hear me now! There will be no more retreating from Eddie the banished!” you and Dustin smiled at eddie. “Hey, you’re ready for bat-tle.” Dustin chortles at his own joke. You and Eddie looked at each other with a blank look on your faces, Eddie looked at Dustin, confused. “You get it?” you held back a laugh at his face. “Bat-tle, B-A-T.” Eddie and you stayed silent. “No?” he groans. “I thought I had a good one..” you smiled as you watched Eddie tackle him.
“What are you doing?” Dustin asked Eddie, distraught. “Tackle him!” You cheered Eddie on as he pushed Dustin away. Dustin quickly ran back and tried to tackle and give Eddie a wedgie now. “Give him a wedgie eddie!” Dustin looked at you with wide eyes. “No wedgies! No wedgies!”
“Never change, Dustin henderson!” you smiled as you watched the pair. “You either, y/n hopper! Promise me?” Eddie ran over and tried to hold you into a hug. “We weren’t planning on it!” you laughed as eddie tickled your sides. “Say it y/n!” “I promise!” you laughed out. “Good.” Eddie smiled and let you go. “Good?” “Good!” you all laughed.
“Hey sinclairs how are those spears coming along?” Lucas gave you all a thumbs up, Erica quickly gave Lucas a confused look.
All three of you laughed and kept playing around in the field since you were the first ones to finish. You laughed as Dustin almost fell over the small hill you all sat on.
“Are you nervous?” you turned to eddie. “Of?” he sighed and sat down next to you. “Of being vecna’s next victim?” you thought about it for a minute.
“Not really, I know I have a really amazing group who wouldn’t let me get taken by him!” you gave him a small smile.
“I’ll be really upset if I miss out on your awesome metal concert.” you both smiled and turned to watch dustin.
“I won’t let that happen to you.” You chortle at his words. “Good!”
You all rode in the RV in silence as you dropped off Max, Erica and Lucas at the creel house. Steve parked the RV in the woods, near the trailer park.
After you all went over the plan, you all made your way into the trailer park and right towards eddie’s trailer. You all slowly made it into the portal one by one. You were the last to fall through. You giggled as Steve and Eddie lifted you up off the mattress.
You all made your way out of the trailer to set up. “Hey, guys, listen.” you, eddie and dustin turned to steve. “If things here start to go south, I mean at all, you abort! Draw the attention from the bats for a minute or two. We’ll take care of vecna!” you three looked at each other.
“Don’t try to be cute or be a hero, or something. Okay, you guys are just-!” “Decoys!” Dustin and Steve spoke at the same time. “Don’t worry you can be the hero stevie boy!” you smiled.
“Absolutely, I mean look at us. We are not heroes.” you chuckled as Dustin looked between you and eddie. “Speak for yourself! I got cool powers!” You joked. Steve nodded at the trio and went to walk away but was stopped by eddie.
“Hey steve.” he turned around to face him. “Make him pay!” Steve nodded and walked away with Nancy and Robin towards their spot. You held back a groan, knowing Eddie meant it for chrissy. “I’m jealous of a dead chick!” You muttered to yourself as you went over to the deck.
You sighed as you three finished making a border so the bats couldn’t get to you all if you needed to hide. “Not bad.” “not bad at all!” Dustin and Eddie smiled at each other. “Now for the fun part!” you smirked and walked ahead of the two, into the trailer.
“Jesus christ!” You and Dustin looked around Eddie's room in the upside down. “It’s like she was destined for an alternate dimension.” Eddie was in awe of his guitar on the wall. “What do you two say? Are you both ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world!” You both smiled “Is that a rhetorical question?” Eddie smiled and put the guitar onto his back/
“Let’s do it!” You and Dustin chuckled and grabbed the amps Eddie had in his room and followed him to the roof of the trailer to set up.
You all waited to be told to move on to a new phase. “She’s in, move into phase three!” you all jumped up and got ready. “Copy that! Initiating phase three.” you nodded and watched as Dustin pulled in the amp. “Let’s hope they hear this!” you nodded and turned the volume up. “Chrissy, this is for you!” you looked at dustin with an offended look before turning back to eddie.
“What the fuck, I do all this just for him to dedicate this whole thing to a dead chick?!” you quietly ranted to Dustin as you both hid behind the amps.
You watched as eddie played master of puppets by metallica. You and Dustin smiled and head banged as you listened to him play. You looked through the binoculars and saw the bats flying towards you three. “Eddie, Lockdown in T-minus 30 seconds!” he nodded at your words and kept playing.
“T-Minus Twenty!” Dustin yelled, keeping an eye on them. You smiled as you heard Eddie shredding the guitar. “T-Minus ten!” you got up from the roof and stood. “Five. One.” Eddie finished playing and quickly followed you and dustin into the room you all built earlier that night.
“Move!” you rushed Dustin in. Luckily you all got in before they could get to anyone.
“Dude, most metal ever!”
“Oh my god, oh my god!” You laughed as you watched Eddie and Dustin be excited about what had just happened.
You all could hear the bats trying to get through the wire, you Dustin and Eddie stood with your backs together and kept circling around the portal, looking to see if one had popped through. “Hey dipshits! Give up that easy!” “shhh!” Eddie shushed dustin. “Stop egging ‘em on!” you chimed in, you three jumped as you heard one find its way towards the roof.
“Shit!” you cursed and slowly approached the part of the roof they were at. “They can’t go through there, could they?” as Dustin asked, a bat popped through, scaring you three. You all stabbed it and made your way towards the portal. “You go first dustin!” you rushed him in.
Eddie looked at you and knelt down, preparing to help you in the portal. “You go first y/n.” you nodded and hopped onto the rope and climbed through.
You and Dustin waited for Eddie to do the same. “C’mon eddie!” “We’re so close!” you started to panic as he kept looking over towards the door, where the bats were biting through.
“Eddie?!” you yelled as you watched him drop down from the rope, he looked back at you and dustin. You and Dustin started yelling for him as he cut the rope with the spare axe.
You watched as Dustin caught the rope in his hands. You both stared at it, in shock. “Eddie! What are you doing?!” he sighs and looks up at you. “I’m buying more time!” You groaned and moved dustin off the mattress and flipped it on it’s side. You scrambled to find an empty chair.
“Where are you going?!” Dustin asked as you placed down a chair and practiced your jumps.
“I’ve gotta go save the damn hero!” you told him, as you sighed and jumped into the portal using the chair to boost you. “And she sticks the landing!” you muttered to yourself before looking up at dustin.
“Throw that bag in here dustin!” He quickly does so. You jumped as the bag smacked you in the face. “Oww!” You groaned but quickly brushed off the pain. You grabbed the cans of hairspray.
“What are you doing with those! Styling your hair?!” you groaned at dustin. “Leave it all to me, k?” You gave him a smile before running out of the trailer, you looked around trying to find a trial Eddie might’ve left behind.
Your heart dropped as you saw a swarm of bats, you quickly shook up the can of hairspray and pulled out a lighter from your back pocket.
You ran over to the swarm. You felt your heart break as you heard Eddie's screams from the bats biting his flesh. “Son of a bitch!” you cursed as some of the bats started to bite you as well.
“Y/N! EDDIE!” you tried to turn your head to see Dustin, getting a mini swarm of bats. Your mom instinct kicked in, you struggled to push off some of the bats. You sprayed the fire at bats in Dustin's direction. Dustin panted on the grass.
Thankfully he wasn't hurt at all. You quickly turned to face in Eddie's direction and sprayed every bat that you could see.
“Eddie!” You ran over to Eddie's severely bitten body. You kept spraying the fire as you circled around. You had burned most of the bats, the ones that managed to avoid being burnt got killed by Dustin stabbing them. “Y/n..” You were too busy smashing a bat that was being stubborn on your own leg to notice Eddie calling for you.
“Stupid motherfucker!” you yelled as you kept hitting it with the empty can. “Y/n..” you turned towards Eddie, who had a small smile on his face. “Don’t you ever try being a hero!” you warned him as you hugged him tightly.
“You looked pretty badass, hopper!” He chortles. “Thanks!” you smiled as Dustin approached you both. “If we um made it out of here, do you think we could um, go out together?” You smiled at Eddie and nodded at his words. “You got a date munson! Now let’s get you back!” You whispered to Eddie, “Dustin, grab his legs and I'll carry his arms!” you commanded which the teen listened to.
“Wait, wait it hurts!” Eddie groaned as you and Dustin picked him up from the ground.
Dustin panicked and placed his legs back down. “No! Pick ‘em back up, if we let him rest he might bleed out!” you groaned. Dustin, who picked up Eddie's legs and helped you drag Eddie back through the portal.
You went to run towards the trailer’s small bathroom but quickly stopped in your tracks as you noticed the room around you had changed. You looked around, you noticed the slimy vines that slithered up your legs, you looked up and spotted your sister and Max, who were also trapped in the vines.
You searched around the room, trying to find vecna but quickly jumped as you watched him leave el’s side and walked over to where you were being held. “You and the others have already lost. Just give up y/n.” Your eyes flickered all over the place, you could see el had tears streaming down her face, max was struggling in the vines as she watched you and vecna.
“You won’t be second place in my eyes.” You held your breath as you watched him raise his palm towards your face, all the memories flooded your mind.
“We needed a sub tonight, ugh!” Dustin groaned.
“But her sister lost hers and y/n has her powers still but uh there not very helpful.”
“I would say all of the above but we can’t do any of that til we find a way to the upside down.” “We need El to get her powers back.” Max sighed.
“Chrissy, this is for you!” you looked at dustin with an offended look before turning back to eddie. “What the fuck! I do all this just for him to dedicate this whole thing to a dead chick?!” you quietly ranted to Dustin as you both hid behind the amps
You were brought back to his lair where he stood in front of you, waiting for you to go with him. You looked over and saw El watching you, tears running down her face. You looked right at vecna. “I’d rather chew off my foot.” You were sure if your mouth wasn’t dry you would’ve spat on him.
He let out a grumble and had released the vines around your legs for a second before throwing you up against the door, next to el.
You both watched as he walked over to max and lifted his hand to her face. You noticed how el started to slip for the slimy vines. You gave her a small smile before getting the hint that she needed you to give Henry a hallucination. You nodded and conjured up an hallucination of el and you falling, out of the vines, the images showed you both acting like you were dying. You hid eleven and yourself from his actual site and let him focus on the image of you both on the slimy flesh like floor.
You hid a smirk as you watched the plan work, Henry had been too focused on your and el’s bodies he hadn’t noticed he had dropped max and you outside of the hallucination. Eleven walked up behind him and nodded towards you to let him go from your powers. You smiled and did so, he quickly turned as he was slammed into one of the poles, el had pinned him like he had done to his previous victims.
You rushed over to max and helped her up from the floor. “Where’s Lucas and erica?!” You said slightly panicking, Max shrugged at you and held onto you as you both watched el drain Henry of his powers.
You noticed the bottom of his legs started to smoke, you and Max squeezed each other as he screamed in pain. You and Max walked behind eleven and watched as she made sure to kill him.
You three noticed once he was burnt to ashes how the room around you three started to disappear, “Y/n, your leg!” El pointed out as she gave you and max hugs. “I’ll be fine! You need to come back to Hawkins, I don't care what Joyce has to say. I need to see you after all of this mess.” She nods at you, you both watched as Max disappeared into the air, you assumed Lucas had finally used the music.
“I’m glad you're safe.” You smiled at el as you hugged her one last time before you were pulled back to hawkins. You were greeted by Dustin standing in front of you, with a panicked expression. “Y/n?” You blinked and looked around the bathroom before nodding at dustin.
He let out a sigh of relief before turning behind him and yelling “SHE’S ALIVE, EDDIE!” You followed Dustin out of the bathroom and into the living room where Eddie was laid on the couch. “And the V man is dead.” You smiled as the pair looked at you with wide eyes before staring at each other.
“No more fighting anything then?” You smiled and nodded at Eddie's reaction, Dustin just let out a breath of relief as he plopped down onto the chair beside eddie.
You noticed Dustin had ripped some of the rope and tied it around one of Eddie's bigger wounds. “We need to take him to the hospital!” you told Dustin as you both carried eddie outside, and spotted an empty truck, the owner must’ve stepped inside for a split second. “There!” You and Dustin quickly carried Eddie into the truck. Once everyone was emi buckled up you quickly drove away from the trailer park.
“We just stole another car!” Dustin laughed in shock as you quickly drove you three to the closest hospital. “Hey y/n?” You hummed in response.
“Did either you or el happen to use your, uh powers by chance?” Dustin asked you quietly as you drove.
“Me and Max watched el drain his powers if it counts, and I may have used my hallucinations, why?”You asked Dustin, turning your head towards the pair. Dustin was about the talk but the walkie interrupted.
“We did it!” Robin laughed into the walkie, excited about defeating vecna. “Great, y/n and eleven also caused an earthquake, So if you need us, meet us at the hospital!” Dustin told her as you drove into the parking lot.
You all hopped out of the truck and ran into the ER with Eddie being carried in by you and dustin. “Oh, did you kids experience the earthquake too?!” the nurse asked you three. “Sadly yes.” the nurses quickly got eddie onto a gurney
You were about to sit when the nurse noticed how bitten and bloody your legs were. She had you also taken back to get looked at.
Two Days Later
“Y/n, slow down or you’re gonna rip out your IV!” Steve scolded you as you walked ahead of him and dustin. “You two hurry up! Making the sick one go slow.” You muttered to yourself as you walked towards Eddie's room.
“Jesus.” Steve groaned and pushed the medicine pump behind you.
You smiled as you approached the open door. “Sorry, I'm late.” You told Eddie, who was sitting propped up in the hospital bed with the bed tray over his lap. “Thought you stood me up.” You both smile at his joking tone.
“And miss our hospital date? Never.” You faked a gasp and sat down on the bed near his feet.
“So what are we eating exactly?” You asked, tilting your head as he smirks. “Had henderson buy food from the new diner.” You nodded as dustin and steve walked in panting.
“Here!” Dustin exclaimed, putting the bag on the tray before walking back over to Steve who had stayed in the doorway. “We’ll leave you kids alone, Be good you two!” He jokingly pointed between you and eddie.
“Ok mom!” You smiled as Steve and Dustin left the hospital room. You quickly turned around to see Eddie, who was unpacking the food.
“Have the police tried talking to you yet?” You asked. “They try but I act asleep, so the nurses will kick them out.” He smiles a bit. “Have you gotten ahold of your sister?” You shake your head. “No, Nancy said she’ll try to get ahold of Joyce for me.” You told him as you picked at a soggy fry.
“Eww.” You placed the fry to the side, Eddie looked at you with wide eyes. “You don’t like the soggy ones?” You shook your head. “I’m gonna be honest with you hopper, I don’t know how this is gonna work out if the girl of my dreams doesn’t like the soggy fries.” He jokingly placed his hand over his heart. “Oh yes.” You smiled as you playfully rolled your eyes.
It had been a couple hours since your “hospital date” with eddie. You and Eddie had made your way towards your hospital room, where Robin and Dustin tried to entertain you, Steve and Eddie by dancing to whatever station the nurses had the radio on.
You sat on your hospital bed with a pained expression. “I should’ve let vecna take my sight if I knew I would be seeing these two dancing.” You whispered to Steve who let out a snort, Eddie joining in as well as he watched the pair. “We heard that!” You smiled and gave a thumbs up at the pair.
You sat up straight as you heard knocking on your room door. You watched as robin opened the door for nancy, who carried in two bouquets of flowers. “One of them is from me and the other is from my mom.” She told you as she placed them down on the tray.
“These are from us too!” You turned and smiled as Lucas, Max and Erica walked into the room with balloons. “Aww, thank you guys.” You gave them hugs as they greeted you and eddie. “I love the flowers and balloons so much.” You smiled at the others, who’s sight wasn’t on you but the people in the doorway.
“You haven't seen what we got you yet!” Your eyes widened at the voice, your head slowly turned to look at the door where you saw your dad, Joyce, Mike, Will, El and jonathan. You looked up at the medicine pump and saw your pain med bag was halfway empty, you turned to the others. “Someone tell Annette my pain meds are kicking in now, my powers are trying to use themselves on me.” Steve shook his head at you, “Oh so you guys see my dead dad too?”
The group smiles at your reaction of seeing your dad alive, in your hospital room. “No, he’s really there y/n.” You nodded at Eddie's words and turned back to face him. “Oh...So where were you? You know how much you owe me for your funeral service?” Hopper let out a laugh at your words and walked over and hugged you.
“Sure missed you kiddo.” You smiled and hugged him back. “2,737 dollars plus tax mister.” You joked as he pulled away from the hug, he smiled and ruffled your hair. “Hey Mike, will!” You waved at the pair who smiled and waved back before greeted the others.
“Y/n!” El rushed over and hugged you tightly, she had been given a talk by Jonathan on how she should be gentle hugging you on the way over to the hospital.
“I missed having you here in hawkins.” You whispered in her ear as she held onto you, the others slowly greeted each other while you and el hugged. “Is that the boy?” She asked you quietly as she motioned towards Eddie, you looked and nodded at her. “Oh yeah.” She smiled and greeted Eddie and the others with mike and will.
“Oh how are you doing honey?” You smiled as Joyce's mom's voice came out as she looked at your bandaged legs. “Sore, It’s gotten better, the bleeding has gone down a bit.” She nodded at the news, “Hey y/n.” You smiled as you smelt Jonathan's shirt from the bed, he smelt like a mix of weed and air freshener. “Hi Jonathan, how’s california?” He nodded. “Cali’s ok, definitely not like hawkins.” You gave him a knowing look and smiled “Oh i’m sure their similar somehow.” You smiled at his wide eye look
After everyone had greeted each other, you all sat and talked about what was going to happen after you and Eddie got out of the hospital. “You guys have government connections?!” Eddie asked the party in shock as he listened to your dad and Joyce's plan.
“Yeah.” You nodded at him before turning back to your dad. “So me and eddie are in the clear, like this never happened?” You dad nods at your question. “Yep, then I get back my job and everything goes back to normal.” He explained, You nod at him, before putting your hand up in Eddie's direction. “No, we still have to graduate ourselves.” You heard Eddie sigh behind you, making a grin appear on your face.
“Wait, does this mean we have to fix the cabin?” You groaned and threw your head back at the thought of cleaning up the destroyed cabin in the woods. Jim let out a chuckle and shook his head “No, we’re buying a proper house.” Yours and el’s heads popped up at his news. “Dips on the bigger room!” You told el who just smiled and nodded.
A Couple Months Later
“Shush, my dad might hear you.” You warned Eddie as he crawled through the window in your new bedroom.
“Doll, I got the greatest news ever!” You smiled at his excited expression. “Well, what is it?” You asked as you watched him crawl and plop himself on top of your body on your bed. “Well you remember that weird guy at the hideout a couple weeks ago?” You had to think about it for a minute before nodding at the memory.
“What about him?” Eddie sighed and smiled wider at you. “Well he liked corroded coffins songs and turns out he was a scout for a record company and we got offered a record deal-!” Eddie was cut off by you squealing and tackling him into a tight hug. “Ooh, congratulations eds! That’s my boyfriend.” You cupped his cheeks and kissed him.
You both kept making out, eddie’s hands going underneath your sleeping shirt, you had stolen from him, You smiled as he pushed himself down a bit more and kissed your jaw before moving to your neck, you let out a moan as he left a mark, You both quickly took off your shirt and threw somewhere in your room, eddie smiled as he went back to kissing your neck. After a bit he looked back up at you “You sure you wanna do this? I’m not pressuring you, am I?” You smiled and shook your head at him.
“I wanna do this eds.” His grin got brighter as he went back to leaving a trail of kisses down your neck and towards the valley of your breasts. A knock on your door startled you both.
“One minute I’m changing!” You yelled out before looking all over your room for your shirt you both had tossed across the room.
“Hide under my bed.” You whispered towards Eddie who nodded and quickly slid under your bed and was thankfully hidden by the bed skirt you, Joyce and eleven had bought when you were shopping for the new house. You quickly put on the shirt and made sure your hair didn’t look all nuts before running to open your door.
“Oh i just wanted to let you know that me and your dad are going out for dinner and probably won’t be back til ten.” You nod at Joyce's words, praying she won’t notice the hickey on your neck. “Kay, you two have a fun night!” You smiled as you leaned against your doorframe as your dad came up from behind joyce.
“We will.” You dad smiled down at Joyce, you held yourself back from gagging.
“Oh hop can you give us a minute, I just need to tell y/n something.” Your dad nodded and walked to the living room. “What did you need to tell me?” You asked Joyce, who had a small smile on her face.
“Did you get burned by the curling iron?” You nodded, not noticing how the shirt had moved a bit too much and Joyce had got a glance at the hickey. “Yeah, I thought it was turned off and I was wrapping up the cord and burnt myself.” Praying Joyce had bought the story.
“Oh ok, I just wanted to say that Max is spending the night here so no fiddling around with the curling iron.” You looked at her confused. She gives you a knowing look. “It’s alright I was a teenager once y/n.” Your eyes widen at her words, she must’ve heard you and Eddie scrambling around your room.
“Alright we’ll be PG tonight.” You told her, she smiled at you before turning to walk out the door. “Oh, goodnight eddie.” You groaned and banged your head against the doorframe.
“Night ms byers.” Eddie told her as he lifted the bed skirt so she could see him. “Smart, I used to hide mine in my closet.” Joyce smiled at both of you before walking towards the living room where our dad was waiting.
You shut your door before turning around to face eddie. “You should go too, before one of the kids bursts in here too.” He nodded and went to climb out your window. You walked over to your window where you leaned out slightly and kissed Eddie once more.
“Sorry, our celebration got cut short.” Eddie smiled at you “Seeing you is the best celebration for me.” You giggled at him, he went to walk away but you quickly called him back.
“Yeah?” He asked, confused, did he leave something in your room?
“Would you settle for a PG-13 celebration?” Eddie looked at you confused. “What is it?” You stared at him for a second before lifting up your shirt and bra.
Eddie’s eyes widened at your boldness, a smile broke out on both your faces. You laugh and put your shirt and bra back down. “That’s one celebration I won’t forget.” He smiled at you.
“Alright, loverboy, goodnight.” You leaned out the window a bit and managed to kiss Eddie's cheek. “Night.” He smiled the whole walk towards his van.
Life was looking up for him, his name was cleared, now his career was just starting and he has a beautiful girlfriend? Yep life was being good to him.

she’s all i wanna be
Summary: you are insecure in your relationship with Eddie
Warnings: reader has a negative body image, mean girl behavior, bullying
I have no idea why the formatting is so weird lol
Your relationship with Eddie was new. It was fun and exciting but also scary. You had never had feelings like this for anyone before. He always made time for you, recently skipping D&D or cutting band practice short so he could squeeze in more time to spend with you. Because Eddie’s world was newly revolving around your every move, his friends were getting annoyed with you and your constant presence.
You walk into the cafeteria and sit at your usual spot at the Hellfire table. You didn’t know if you should without Eddie, but he had to meet with Miss Click about his last test grade. He assured you that the boys would love to have you sit with them.
You quietly sit and greet them with a weak smile and wave.
“Oh hey y/n, where is Eddie? Gareth questioned.
“He had to meet with Miss Click to go over his last exam, hope you don’t mind me sitting here” you said as you unpacked the contents of your lunchbox.
“And you aren’t waiting outside the classroom for him to be done” Jeff let out with a weak laugh.
Your face flushed because you had actually thought of doing that.
“I don’t get how he isn’t completely tired of you always hanging around him and pulling him away from what he loves. It’s so confusing since just a few months ago he couldn’t shut up about his crush on Chrissy, and now he’s with you instead” Mike said cruelly.
Your face was still red hot and you were fighting back the tears in your eyes.
“I guess he just settled for the off brand Chrissy” Jeff said with a laugh, as the rest of the boys chucked with him.
You quickly stood up and grabbed your belongings not able to listen anymore.
“Hey, we were just joking with you!” Mike called out and you ran out.
You left the school down an old trail you and Eddie frequently took when you just needed to get away. You headed to the rusted bench to take a minute to yourself when you heard Eddie’s laugh. You peer through the bushes only to see Eddie dramatically falling onto the ground in front of the one and only Chrissy Cunningham.
She was definitely flirting with him, twisting her perfect blonde hair as she asked him about Corroded Coffin. You saw enough, taking off to head in the direction of your house.
On your way home you couldn’t help but think negatively of yourself. She was definitely prettier than you. She had a smaller waist, long blonde hair and came from money. You didn’t have anything like that to offer, you’d probably choose her too.
As you walked past the drug store, you had a moment of thinking “maybe I can look like her” as you wondered in looking for some hair dye. You decided on a box of bleach, thinking that adding some highlights could maybe help your look.
As soon as you got home you rushed to the bathroom and locked the door behind you. You pull out the instructions and read them over 3 times to ensure you know what you are doing. You decided you were ready, you started to mix the chemicals that smelt so strong you were sure you’d get high from the fumes. As neatly as you could you applied the paste to your hair and let it be for 45 minutes. You rinse the chemical off, throwing your hair up in a towel on your head as you wipe the fog off the mirror.
Then you were horrified. Once you pulled the towel off all you could feel was instant regret. Your roots were white blonde while other pieces were bright orange and another section still your original color. You were panicking trying to figure out your next move when there was a knock on the bathroom door.
“Hey y/n dad said dinner is ready” your little sister, El informed you.
You muttered some profanities before saying, “tell him I’m not hungry!”
You suddenly hear heavy footsteps approaching the bathroom door.
“None of that y/n, come on we are eating dinner” Hopper insisted.
“Sorry I can’t” you blurt out.
“Excuse me? You can’t? Open this door right now y/n”
You knew you couldn’t win. You slowly opened the door to reveal the mess you were currently dealing with.
“What the hell y/n” Hopper said as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
“I know it looks really bad -“ you start
“Really bad is an understatement” El cuts you off with a giggle. You give her a death stare and she runs down the hallway.
“I can call Joyce tomorrow to see if she can come help you fix it after school,” Hopper said, rubbing his face with his hand.
“After school?! Dad no way that’s too long”
“She’s at work y/n, you’ll just have to wear a hat or something” he says as he lets out a laugh.
You continue just to give him an annoyed glare.
The next morning you tuck all of your hair into a beanie, then place the hood of your sweatshirt over top to further disguise yourself.
As you make your way downstairs for school, your father sees you and chuckles.
“I don’t know why you think this is funny” you say as you pour your bowl of cereal.
“This is one of those moments I will never let you forget,” he replies.
You just have to get through today, stay low and avoid Eddie that all you have to do. Standing at your locker you grab the books you need as you notice Eddie approaching you with a smile and wave. You took off to your class taking your seat and opening your book up as quickly as possible to bury your head in.
“Hey y/n I tried to call you last night but you didn’t answer” Eddie said as he took his seat behind you, chains hitting onto the desk.
“I was busy” you reply coldly.
“Are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?” He said leaning forward.
Thankfully the bell rang and Miss Click walked in already telling everyone to quiet down.
“Ok class today I want you to turn to page 110- yes Miss Cunningham?” Miss Click said as Chrissy raised her hand.
“I just was thinking I’m pretty sure it’s against the dress code to wear hats inside and I just don’t think it would be fair if certain people were an exception to the rules”
“Why yes that is a rule, Miss Hopper you need to remove your hood”
Your heart sunk and your face instantly got red. You sat there like a statue for a minute trying to decide what to do.
“Miss Hopper if you don’t remove the hood this instant I will have to send you to the principal's office to call you father.”
You slowly pull the hood back and stare at Miss Click.
“The beanie too dear” Miss Click said.
As you pull it off your head you can hear the whole room gasp followed by laughter.
“Oh my” is all Miss Click could get out before you grabbed your books and bolted out of the room. You faintly heard Eddie calling your name but you didn’t turn back, you headed straight home with tears running down your face.

Sweeter Than Stolen Candy
Eddie Munson x Hopper!Reader sneaky peaky below the cut.
@munson-blurbs….THIS IS FOR YOU!
Tumblr media
“Fuck sweetheart, you have to be quiet. Wayne can’t wake up,” his lips mumbled against the skin of your neck as his cock continued to piston inside of you. His fingers dug so tightly into your skin you were sure you would bruise but there was no way you would tell him to stop, not with how good he seemed to be making you feel.
“Then stop,” you challenged. Your hips stopped their movements as you looked up at him, daring him to stop his movements as you stopped your own. Your eyebrow raised as a smirk formed on your lips.
Instead of answering his thrusts became slower, but also deeper. Your head tipped back as his hand came over your mouth and muffled the yell of pleasure. Your hands dug into his porcelain skin pulling him closer.
“You know I could never stop, Y/N.” His forehead pressed against yours, the hair of his bangs sticking to your skin and his as his brown eyes bore into yours.
Fuck. You loved him. It didn’t make sense, but nothing between you and Eddie Munson ever did.
It was almost a joke, Y/N Hopper and Eddie Munson.
In love.
Soul mates.

eddie x hopper!reader bc parallels 🥺
Tumblr media
Your father is up before anyone else in the house, as always. You roll out of bed to find him at the kitchen table, reading the day's newspaper and nursing his second cup of coffee. Instead of saying good morning, he just grunts at you.
"How's he doing?" he asks as you help yourself to what's left in the pot.
It's an odd question, coming from him.
Jim Hopper had always hated the "him" he was referring to - the scruffy miscreant who he'd busted multiple times for vandalism, petty theft, public intoxication, possession...
He hated him even more when he found out his eldest child had fallen hard for him.
Even more when the way he found out was walking into your room one evening after he'd snuck in, finding the boy in a precarious position between your legs.
But since the earthquake, he'd softened. He saw the way Eddie looked at you, the way he risked his life to protect you, and suddenly a criminal history didn't matter as much.
He was troubled, sure. But he was good to you. He made you happy. And that was enough for Jim.
"He's okay," you reply. "Nightmares again last night. Couldn't sleep."
Your dad hums, sympathetic.
"Those'll stick around for a while."
As if on cue, the man in question emerges from your bedroom, looking as ragged and sleep deprived as he feels. He wears a gray beanie over his newly shaven head, hiding the ugly gash that lies beneath. He doesn't meet your eye, popping a cigarette into his mouth and slipping onto the back porch. You sigh.
"Still upset over his hair, huh?" Jim comments.
"Yeah," you confirm. "It, um... It reminds him of his dad, I think. How he used to make him shave it."
Your father is also familiar with the elder Munson, the crime that got him thrown into prison with a life sentence. More so with the abuse he used to inflict upon his son, since he was the one who answered many of those calls.
"Munson was a scumbag," Jim grumbles. "Hard to believe a kid as good as Eddie came from him."
You smile at the compliment, which your dad shares over the edge of his paper, pursing his lips together to try and hide it. Coffee in hand, you open the back door and join Eddie, sinking down beside him on the porch steps.
"Mornin', angel," he greets you.
You lay your head on his shoulder, and he wraps his arm around you, keeping you warm against the spring chill. In the distance, what remains of downtown Hawkins smolders, sending ribbons of black smoke into the clear blue sky.
"How's your head doing today?" you ask.
He doesn't answer, opting instead to take a long drag of his cigarette.
"... You've gotta show me at some point."
Eddie huffs, flicking ash into the tray your father keeps on the back porch.
"You don't wanna see it," he mumbles. " 's pretty bad."
"So are the ones on your neck," you remind him. "But you let me kiss those."
He side eyes you, and you can tell he's trying to argue the sense you somehow manage to talk into him. You were the one who dragged him back through the portal when he tried to be a hero, after all.
"... You're not gonna like it," he finally admits. "I'm not... I'm not me anymore."
"You still eat Froot Loops for dinner," you contest. "That's pretty you."
He tries to fight the laugh that bubbles in his chest, the resulting smile warming your heart with just how genuine it is. You haven't seen him smile like that in far too long.
"I'm just worried you're not... You're like, serially into guys with long hair," he continues. "My hair was what got you to notice me in the first place. What if... What if you're not... What if I'm not attractive to you anymore?"
You sit up, taking his face in your hands; almost a little too aggressively, because he flinches the slightest bit in surprise.
"Eddie," you say. "Do you know what the sexiest thing about you is?"
He stares at you blankly.
"That stupid demon voice you do when you're playing a villain in a campaign," you tell him. "The over the top, snarly, borderline feral voice that comes out of you when you get really into it. It's ridiculous. And I'd be lying to you if I told you I didn't cum so hard the couple times it's come out during sex."
Eddie's eyes pop, mortified.
"I've used it during sex?"
You laugh, nodding as you lean forward to peck his lips.
"Yes. But my point is that you're goofy, and dramatic, and clever, and sweet, and so shamelessly you that this-" you pat the beanie covering his head "- doesn't matter to me. What matters is that you're safe. That you're still with me."
Eddie raises a hand to your cheek, gently running his thumb over the high point of the bone. He gazes lovingly, dreamily down at you, a bemused smile curling his lips.
"I don't deserve you," he murmurs.
"You deserve me more than anyone."
---
"Stop."
You lift the comb out of Eddie's hand, kissing him on the cheek as you do.
"They're cute. Leave them."
He tsks, snatching the comb back up when you set it on the bathroom counter, resuming the process of teasing out the ringlets his hair has started to grow into.
"It looks better longer," he growls, frustrated. "I hate my fuckin' hair."
"Can I have help?"
El appears in the doorway, holding her own set of styling tools. Her hair has also grown out quite a bit, now at the awkward length where it has to be styled every day or else look totally unpresentable. You gesture her inside, perching on the closed lid of the toilet as she sits on the floor in front of you, letting you work your older sibling magic. In a matter of minutes, her locks have been tamed; she bounds up to the mirror beside Eddie to inspect your work.
"It's coming back," she notices, looking up at him. "Your scar is almost gone."
He hums, running a contemplative finger over the raised, darkened bit of flesh peeking from his hairline. The scar runs all the way around his skull, down the back of his neck, but it's disappeared under the nest of dark brown curls that have grown in since his stint in the hospital.
He grins at her in the mirror, pointing to her wrist.
"So's yours," he notes, indicating her tattoo. "Ink's fading."
El smiles back, positively beaming. Her hand lifts to trace the bats etched above his elbow, a habit she's picked up in the months since Eddie moved in. She loves him like a brother. It makes your heart want to explode.
"I like your hair like this," she admits. "You look better than before. You're healing."
Eddie pauses, his face crumpling like he's about to start sobbing. You hide your smile behind your hand as he takes a deep breath, regaining his composure, then takes one of El's own curls between two fingers, pulling and releasing so it bounces like a spring. She giggles at him, playfully smacking his hand away.
"You're lookin' better too, short stack," he says. "Guess we're both gonna be okay."
