Fun Headcanon Time! 4

Sonata Dusk isn’t an complete dimwit like some think.

Why do I think this?

People already underestimate Sonata’s true nature by thinking that she’s this poor misunderstood babu who Adagio and Aria mistreats terribly. Even if Sonata does seem like an airhead, I don’t think she’s entirely a dumb broad. To some extent, she KNOWS what she’s doing.

Notice how in Rainbow Rocks, Sonata acts more dense than her SBPs conterpart? With the exception of putting tacos in the toaster, Sonata didn’t really act that dense at all? I understand it could’ve been because the writers didn’t have enough time to squeeze in her usual antics, but still.

Maybe she’s not dumb? Maybe the real Sonata is the one that we saw in SBP?

If my “Sonata needs prescription glasses” theory is true, then a couple of things actually make sense 😂

“Sonata Dusk is an interesting character to write. Whether she be the "glue" that holds the Dazzlings together, a ditzy, stupid but evil loveable oaf, or even redeemable, she's always a fun character to write. I've seen many versions of her on ask blogs, comics, and fanfics and she's done SO well, no matter who she really is on the inside! I think it's cool that I got to see many versions of the same character doing the series run in fandom. She's only really known to be cute, and dumb, but evil in canon. So, I'm glad that people make her complex and make her personality for her past these traits.”
