I headcanon that in a tale of magic, the kingdoms have their own accents.
Northern kingdom? Northern accents.
Southern kingdom? Southern accents.
Eastern kingdom? Eastern accents.
Western kingdom, western accents!
Now imagine Xanthous with a southern accent. Imagine BRYSTAL with a southern accent! Madame Weatherberry!

Brystal Evergreen is “the tortured poets department” girl. She is a tortured poet, she had a massive disappointment in her partner and she acts like everything is completely fine while being at a very low point in life in “a tale of witchcraft” (“I can do it with a broken heart” is literally a song about that, there’s even a line “I'm so depressed, I act like it's my birthday every day”)

What Have You Done is a fascinating episode, probably my favorite of season one, it has so much. Like... the shelf of penitence or whatever it's called that Finn and Jake put the crown on. The crown is... crying??? And saying "I'm sorry" like what?!? What would the crown be sorry for, at this point in the show? They definitely didn't have Simon planned out by this time so it's just a silly gag but it's just so interesting to think about. (Is it sorry for driving the wearer of it insane?)
Makes me think about the theories about the crown from before we learned its origins in Evergreen, that it had an evil spirit or just malicious intent or whatever
ITS NOT EVEN THE ONLY TIME THEY IMPLY THE CROWN IS LIKE, SENTIENT, EITHER. there’s the way that in farmworld the crown supposedly caused an ice age because it was “mourning” simon. also the way both simon & farmworld finn act like it talks to them but that could be a lot of things. its so. like i can totally believe that too. i think if you make a magical object and then let it exist for literal millions of years it’s going to develop its own form of consciousness eventually. but its so funny like fucking what. why are you alive. why are you sorry
