The Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Tumblr media
Now that I realized that no one can actually stop me, I'm gonna talk about my ocs again! And i found this challenge? ask list? and i liked it so enjoy the ride, i guess
Day 1 - Strength
Sinclair
6 - Barrel Chested  >> 8 - Circus Strongman
How physically strong is your OC? Sinclair wasn’t a wimp to begin with - he did plenty of blue collar work before becoming an engineer and had some muscle to show for it. Then, soon after he embarked on a journey to get Benny and return the Platinum Chip, he decided to not go through the sacked Nipton and just go around - and got kidnapped by the Think Tank. After two weeks of dealing with them and returning his stolen organs Sinclair found that his spine got infused with some of the tech used to replace it - and it gave him some additional core strength. So in the end he is surprisingly strong for his not-that-buff frame.
How good are they in melee or hand to hand combat? Sinclair is perfectly able to dish out some nasty punches and kicks, but he’ll lose against anyone with actual martial knowledge - Sinclair’s skill comes mostly from hectic brawls and having to stab and dismember ghost people at Sierra Madre as fast as possible.
Do they just punch things or are they trained in martial arts? Definitely the former - Sinclair never had much interest in learning martial arts, and even though he skimmed through a couple of manuals later in his life he never got far with it. When he has to fight in melee, he mostly tries to knock the opponent out and then finish them off from a safer distance.
Can they carry very heavy guns around easily or carry loads of supplies, or are they not that strong? He is absolutely that strong - he casually carries almost 300 lbs of stuff around (and some more if he had a couple of beers). It goes well with his tendency to over-pack - he probably has at least twice as many supplies and ammo than he would actually need at any given moment.
Innocence
3 - Doughy Baby
How physically strong is your OC? Ino is a walking definition of “noodle arms”. She has trouble wearing heavy armor and carrying more than a couple guns on her. Of course, she got a tiny bit of muscle built after having to run errands across the whole Mojave, but it still doesn’t help her that much.
How good are they in melee or hand to hand combat? Terrible! Being locked into melee is one of her many nightmares, and so Ino does her best to avoid it. Her inability to fight without guns has made her forced visit to Legion’s Fort even more terrifying than it already was - being surrounded by shitton of brutes with powerfists constantly reminded her of how screwed she was.
Do they just punch things or are they trained in martial arts? While she can’t use it effectively, Ino does know a couple of legitimate moves - like the counter that Veronica taught her or takedown from ranger Andy.
Can they carry very heavy guns around easily or carry loads of supplies, or are they not that strong? Ino’s not that strong and she knows it - and so she takes packing very seriously and always takes only the bare essentials - with the reasoning that it’ll be easier to find/buy something on the road and move faster rather than exhaust herself by carrying all the extra stuff, moving slowly and still having to buy some more supplies when it runs out early.

All of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. prompt art I did for Lizzy! Dithered between putting a lot of effort in and keeping things loose and casual. I’m a mess. Mostly wanted to do some storytelling with these, each from a different point in her life!
Links to the answers + descriptions for each stat below! Thanks again to mojavejourneys for the original prompts. :)

The Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!
So, as we know, all characters in Fallout are ranked on the SPECIAL system, comprising of Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck. And I had this thought of ‘why not make a little seven day thing that you can fill in for your OCs?’
So, here’s the breakdown and some guidance for how you can approach it. Or approach it your own way! The questions provided below each category are there to help, but talk about it however you like!
Day 1 - Strength
How physically strong is your OC?
How good are they in melee or hand to hand combat?
Do they just punch things or are they trained in martial arts?
Can they carry very heavy guns around easily or carry loads of supplies, or are they not that strong?
Day 2 - Perception
How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions?
How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious?
How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch)
How do they see the world around them?
Day 3 - Endurance
What is your OC’s overall fitness level?
How long can they exert themself before tiring?
Are they good at swimming, sprinting, running or climbing?
How well can they adapt to environmental pressures?
Day 4 - Charisma
How persuasive is your OC?
How easily can they obtain information that others may be less willing or inclined to share?
How much verbal charm do they have?
Can they carry themselves with confidence?
Day 5 - Intelligence
Can your OC read, write and do basic math?
What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
Do they favour brains over brawn?
How good are they with technology?
Day 6 - Agility
How fast can your OC react to sudden changes?
How good are they in combat situations where they are constantly moving?
Are they quick on the draw with their weapons or not?
Can they manoeuvre quickly around a slower assailant?
Day 7 - Luck
How fortunate (or not) overall is your OC?
Do they seem to stumble upon necessary supplies easily or never seem to find what they need?
Have they survived an injury that, had it been someone else, would have been fatal?
Do good things or bad things happen more around them?
This was created as a fun way to talk about your Fallout OCs. If you do decide to do this for your own OCs, use the tag #fallout oc seven day special so I can take a look!!

Fallout OC seven day S.P.E.C.I.A.L
I’m putting these all on one post for easy viewing :)
Day 1 - Strength
Archer’s Score: 4
Archer isn’t a very strong guy. He travels light, carrying as few things as physically possible to avoid slowing himself down. It wasn’t something he really had to worry about when he was in the Brotherhood, his power armor did all the heavy lifting. With that being said, he is strong enough to lift and carry a fallen comrade away from danger. He has been trained in hand to hand combat, but if it can be avoided Archer will stay very far away from the actual combat. That's not to say he isn’t good at it, he’s very knowledgeable about pressure points, pinning people, and making sure people are otherwise unable to fight. Archer also doesn’t like big guns. He doesn't like carrying them, reloading them, or getting into fights and having to use them. He carries his longbow (which only has a draw weight of 30 pounds), a whole lot of arrows, a knife, and a Colt .45 Outlaw.
Day 2 - Perception
Archer’s Score: 8
Archer knows his eyesight is very good, which is a big reason he stays back during fights. He can snipe from far distances, and at the same time keep an eye out for any other potential threats. He is also very quick to notice anything out of the ordinary. Tripwires and mines have to be very well hidden to escape his notice. The big problem he has with his perception is noticing when he’s hallucinating. Picking out the visions from the real world around him is damn near impossible. In non hostile situations he can usually tell if he is having a schizophrenic episode, but when enemies are bearing down on him the increased heart rate, and sweaty/shaky hands are hard to distinguish from a normal reaction. The lack of safe spaces doesn’t help. Moving from that Archer’s aim is very good. Arrows are almost impossible to come by, so he has to make his own and that can take a while. So he got good at not wasting them.
Day 3 - Endurance
Archer’s Score: 6
Archer doesn't have the worst endurance, but it's not the best either. When it comes to traveling he usually prefers to take it slow, but he can manage a light jog for a little bit. He doesn’t manage well in hurried situations, and having to run for any extended period of time can be detrimental. However, Archer loves to swim even when most, if not all, the water around him is severely irradiated, he’ll pop some rad-x and go have a splash. He is also pretty good at climbing, if only so he can get high enough to scope out his surroundings. I would say under normal circumstances he is good at adapting to his surroundings. He tries his hardest to stay calm, because he knows “Calm people live and panicked people die.”
Day 4 - Charisma
Archer’s Score: 10
Archer's charisma is where he excels most. He might not actually be strong, but damn if he can't convince someone he fist fought a deathclaw and won. He won’t like it, but if he needs information or an item from someone, he can become “friends” in minutes. Picking up on social clues and catching even the smallest eye twitches, Archer reads people like they are children's books. It wakes it a bit harder when people wear masks, but he can usually pick at how they talk about things and get on their good side that way. Confirmed Bachelor all the way with this one, Archer can flirt a man's pants off. He’s a bit, uh, less good at flirting with ladies, but chances are high he’d still manage pretty well.
Day 5 - Intelligence
Archer’s Score: 3
My low INT child. He doesn’t know what's going on. He is trying his best though. He can count to 500 before he gets confused, a little bit of addition and subtraction is fine. Very Very basic multiplication. Can’t divide to save his life. Most of his brain power goes into animals, how to care for them and how to train them. He’s learned a lot of first aid and medical skills from helping wounded animals, but if you have other options you might want to consider those before going to him.
Day 6 - Agility
Archer’s Score: 1
Someone help this poor man. Any sudden change has the ability to make his head spin, and he’ll be stuck to the spot he was standing in, trying to take in what happened. As was said on day 3, Archer has a really hard time keeping his head when he’s constantly on the move. All the running and quick movements don’t give him enough time to process, leaving him confused and panicked. This can also trigger a schizophrenic episode, which will make things a lot worse. If he doesn’t have someone to pull him through a situation like this, he will most likely end up severely injured. Whether it be from enemies, or himself.
Day 7 - Luck
Archer’s Score: 8
Archer’s pretty lucky, believe it or not! He says he’s lucky about finding materials and what have you, but the truth is his dogs are trained to sniff stuff like that out. His luck comes into play more when it comes to being wounded on incapacitated and still somehow surviving? Man fist fought a deathclaw, lost, and is still around to tell the tale. He does happen to find a lot of bottle caps and cool masks to wear.

Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Day 4: Charisma
Charisma 2: Old Hermit | Cherchez La Femme, Night Person
Tumblr media
How persuasive is your OC?
Persuasion is scarcely in Agnes’ vocabulary, let alone her skill set. Despite her intimidating exterior, she’s spineless deep down, and more times than not the thought that she could bring someone over to her convictions doesn’t even cross her mind. It’s not just that it’s the path of least resistance to just accept things as they are—if someone “respectfully disagrees” with Agnes, she'll impulsively convince herself that it makes her own opposing position inherently wrong, or that pressing the issue would just embarrass her. Where Agnes breaks is when she can tell that she’s being personally, purposefully humiliated—this she will not tolerate, and for this she will rip the gloves off and go for the throat, and that’s not a metaphor for convincing oration. It’s a literal threat that she will literally strangle you.
The only exception, to an extent, to Agnes’ status as a total pushover is that she’s lived enough of a hardscrabble, hand-to-mouth life to get wise in matters of trade and value; she’s not a bad barterer. She knows when to just shut up and take a deal, of course, but was haggling as early as her teenage years in her hometown of One Pine, New California, where the scant few traders that came through needed greasing before they could commit to bringing in, let alone selling, rarer or more less “necessary” goods like intact books, medical equipment, and medications for her. As practiced as she is, Agnes considers her understanding of the worth of things to be objective (an understanding which could be criticized as self-centered), and haggling, therefore, is just stating facts. Getting fair compensation comes easier to her that way, whether working as a courier, doing odd jobs across the Mojave, or selling off anything she’s scavenged.
How easily can they obtain information that others may be less willing or inclined to share?
If Agnes has ever gotten anything out of anyone without resorting to either blackmail or bribery, it’s been by accident. She couldn’t pry her way out of a paper bag. If the situation calls for intimidation, Agnes caves completely at the first sign of resistance—like, if you pull a gun on someone and demand that they tell you what they know, but they spit in your face and say fuck you, what do you do? Do you just shoot them? Threaten them again? What’s the etiquette? Agnes has no idea, and at a certain point she’ll just worry about looking stupid, which is itself a stupid thing to worry about when threatening someone. For these reasons, she prefers the straightforward exchange of a bribe, tip, or trade—but if it’s that important to her, she’s hardly above the surreptitious approach. Her time spent in New Reno has a pickpocket and a burglar taught her that those with tight lips tend to keep detailed diaries behind flimsy locks.
How much verbal charm do they have?
None at all; if silver tongues exist, then Agnes’ is made of lead. Agnes is unendearingly profane yet occasionally too technical, soft-spoken yet prone to outbursts, unforthcoming yet liable to overshare by mistake. She copes with her complete lack of likability by defaulting to bitter sarcasm, the easiest and most honest affect she can manage but one which doesn’t really earn her many friends.
Can they carry themselves with confidence?
Absolutely not. At her core, Agnes is a directionless, passive, weak-willed, insecure, anxious, lonely, distrustful, uncertain woman, and above all else she is deeply afraid, so much of the time. These are traits that would make anyone in the wasteland extremely vulnerable on their own, which is how Agnes has spent years as a drifter and later, a courier. Her only recourse has been to hide herself as much as possible in a cloistered shell of distance and dismissal, taking far more comfort in being thought of as a weird, aloof, or surly bitch than as the actual wreck she is. It’s the reason why she started working for the Mojave Express: those long, solo deliveries were both a reason and paid excuse for keeping herself so isolated.

Fallout oc Seven Day Special Nix Edition,,🌵
“”Day”” 4 - Charisma 5 -  Substitute Teacher
How persuasive is your OC?
She is and she isn’t. Before the Khans Nix didn’t really like to hang around in areas or talk to people for too long, if she couldn’t persaude them in a short time, she’d give up and move on
Within the Khans though she commanded quite a bit of respect, so she wouldn’t exactly Need to persuade people? Most of her efforts went to convincing Papa to stop being a dipshit, and she quickly worked out how best to talk to him and convince him to listen.
Of course she was very good at persuading little kids to eat their veggies tho
How easily can they obtain information that others may be less willing or inclined to share?
Depends on what they’re like. Nix has this trusting nature about her that makes some people just want to spill their guts to her and vent their troubles, she doesn’t like to pry but it doesn’t take much for someone to open up to her.
Though if someone’s set against her, its very unlikely
How much verbal charm do they have?
I wouldn’t call it charm, but she certainly has something. Like I said she’s got a nature about her, it just depends if you take to it or not. It worked well in the Khans due to their close knit familiar nature towards each other, and she probably could talk someone into doing something, but it was more out of respect of who she was. I’m not sure, it’s hard to explain.
Can they carry themselves with confidence?
Oh absolutely, tho socially its a learned ability to protect herself against people who’d try to sell her short on food or just take advantage in general. That being said I do think you need a certain amount of self confidence to be a sniper or dye maker like Nix was

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. - Perception (Jackal)
Tumblr media
Day 2 - Perception
PER 5: Wary Trout
How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions?
While Jackal’s eyesight is normally quite average, she actually sees better in low light conditions than in regular ones. This is the result of an experimental surgery that involved implanting a tapetum lucidum into the back of her eyes, which increases the amount of light she’s able to perceive. It also gives her an eye shine that leads to situations where she looks like this, which has scared the shit out of her companions on multiple occasions. Getting photographs of her is difficult at times. When night falls, her irises expand along with her pupils, revealing that they also glow in the dark. No one is quite sure why this is, not even Jackal. She remembers the surgery being pretty shady — it’s entirely possible that it’s an unintended side effect or that she purposely asked them to do it because she thought it would look cool. Your guess is as good as hers.
How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious?
Jackal is better at reading people than reading her surroundings. If someone is acting strangely, she will pick up on it very quickly — but a natural environment is something a bit harder for her to take in. It doesn’t help that she has a short attention span, and long stretches of focus don’t come easily to her. Putting her in a social game on the Strip tends to end up better than placing her alone in the woods.
How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch)
With a revolver, her aim is deadly. Mid-range weapons like pistols and lever-action rifles are what Jackal works best with, and she’s no stranger to shotguns. Sniping was something she had absolutely no experience with until Boone taught her how. Though she picked it up fairly quickly and can make some impressive shots from time to time, she’s not likely to do it on her own without a spotter.
How do they see the world around them?
If she’s surrounded by people or in a place where she feels remotely unsafe, Jackal has a pretty extreme sense of paranoia — she always feels like there’s something out to get her. When it comes to making decisions, she’s more likely to take action before getting all the information rather than sit idle and wait. “Shoot first, ask questions later” sums it up pretty well. Jackal never wants to be the one to fire second.

The Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!
Day 5 - Intelligence
Tumblr media
Can your OC read, write and do basic maths?
Art might be where most of her interest lies (she takes after her mum that way), but yes, Ivy loves to read and when she first came to the US for college she’d write extensive letters (with sketches) back to her parents.  She’s pretty decent at maths (her dad made sure of that, being a physics lecturer) but she gets lost in complex equations.  She’s good enough to budget and plan ahead.
What was the basis of their education i.e were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
Ivy has a college level education, she studied art in New York - before dropping out before finishing her final year (because she makes poor life choices around romantic interests, and boy did that one come back to bite her).  Her practical wasteland skills, such as modding weapons and repairing turrets she learnt as she went with a lot of help from Preston and Sturges in the early days.
Do they favour brains over brawn?
Definitely, although she has next to no brawn anyway, so that’s not much of an option.  She puts her brains into upgrading weapons and outthinking and getting the drop on opponents.  Company-wise, she likes to have someone with some smarts about them with her - even if it presents itself in a smart mouth more often than not - but it never hurts to have a bit of muscle to back her up if plans go south.
How good are they with technology?
She’s alright with tech.  With practice and help from Sturges, and some from Danse, she’s become competent in upgrading and maintaining more complex weaponry, such as laser, plasma and gauss rifles.  She’s not bad with computers either, but some of her “hacking” techniques come more from a knowledge of people than a knowledge of circuit boards - you’d be amazed how many passwords you can find tucked under keyboards or stuck in drawers.
------------
I just recently saw MacCready’s stats and realised Ivy only just matches his intelligence now... There are days where I basically have to lead that man upstairs by hand.  And he has an intelligence of 7.   They aren’t two sides of the same coin, they’re two halves of the same idiot.

Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L.!
Day Five: Intelligence
Tumblr media
🌹 Rosie - 10
Can your OC read, write and do basic math?
Rosie is very proficient in all three fields, but has a preference for reading and writing. She studied advanced math in the vault (past what was required in her classes), but eventually swapped to reading the smuggled books her father brought to her from the restricted area. She is also prolific writer, with extensive journals dating back to when she eleven.
What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
Growing up in the Vault, Rosie had a formal education, supplemented by the training her father put her through in the clinic. She was a model student, the class brainiac, and is very much a nerd. Even though the focus on her studies does make her the target for teasing, she values her education.
Do they favor brains over brawn?
Rosie is a lanky, skinny girl, so she doesn’t have much brawn to begin with. She understands it has its place, but growing up with childhood bullies has made her very wary of people who rely on their brute strength. She thinks intelligence can carry a person far, if they use it correctly. So she spends as much time as she can filling her brain with as much information as possible.
How good are they with technology?
She’s studied technology, but it is one of her lesser refined skills when it comes to the sciences. Too mathy (which she knows isn’t a word). Sure, she can hack into a computer or robot, but it takes more time than she’d like, and sometimes, there are unintended results (exploding robots?) when she didn’t intend there to be. She’s a tinkerer, but not a mad scientist. Strange enough, she trusts Butch with the tech stuff, like fixing her Pip-Boy and Wadsworth.
🌻 Mads - 8
Can your OC read, write and do basic math?
All of the above, versed in various subjects. Because her education was so focused, however, she has some gaps. She’s more of a reader and orator than anything, and was never one to volunteer for the mathletes. Mads does have excellent penmanship, however. The nuns made sure of that. Her cursive is to die for.
What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
Mads has an extensive college education under her belt, spending years at University and then Law school. Before that, she spent all her childhood in Catholic school, until she was finally able to break free and attend a ‘normal’ public high school (and socialize with boys- and meet her future husband). So, she’s been around.
Do they favor brains over brawn?
Mads loves a beefy man as much as the next gal, but she values a big brain more. A person who can carry a conversation, and knows what they are talking about. Somebody who can match her wits helps too. She shies away from the crazier scientist types, though; never know when they might wrangle you into some kind of experiment.
How good are they with technology?
Adjusting to the technology Post-War was interesting, as she was used to the luxuries of Pre-War life. She knew the basics involved with maintaining Codsworth, but she’d follow the instructions. Mads can hack into most computers, but she’d rather leave it to the real expert, Nick. Most of her expertise in technology has been focused on learning about energy weapons and how to maintain her Pip-Boy.
🌼 Daisy - 5
Can your OC read, write and do basic math?
Daisy can read and write, but her arithmetic skills are atrocious. Which is interesting, because she ends up teaching herself how to count cards at the blackjack tables once she gets to the Strip. Since she was a Courier, Daisy can sign her name, but anything beyond that, her penmanship is questionable. Her comprehension skills when it comes to reading aren’t the greatest, and she likes to blame the scrambling to her brain on that. Short term memory loss makes it so she had to read over her Pip-Boy notes a lot, and mumbles the details of what she’s doing as a reminder.
What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
Daisy had no formal education, and was home-schooled by her parents. Well, she was sort-of home-schooled, since her parents were more preoccupied with keeping safe from the Legion’s uprising in Flagstaff. Eventually, when Daisy had to runaway from Arizona, so her schooling was put on an indefinite hold. Ever since then, her education had been the ‘rules of the road’.
Do they favor brains over brawn?
To quote the great Julie Brown, “I like ‘em big and stupid.” Daisy hasn’t had the best experience with smarty-pant-know-it-alls, and actually finds them quite arrogant. She much prefers mild to brute force; fists and bullets get faster results, don’t you think?
How good are they with technology?
Past taking care of ED-E and Rex, not really. Daisy has no training in energy weapons, and can only hack a computer if the idiot who locked it used a simple password like ‘dogs’. Same could be said for her Pip-Boy, and she gets enough gripe from her companions for the amount of damage she puts it through. At least she has some repair knowledge, and can hot-wire junk together to get stuff to work, otherwise she’d be shit out of luck (and she has plenty to spare).

Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L
Strength [8] Circus Strongman
Tumblr media
How physically strong is your OC?
Rowan is fairly strong due to her muscular build and NCR training, though she is very small in stature
How good are they in melee or hand to hand combat?
She is very proficient using melee weapons and prefers to use them to most things in combat and due to fighting up close she also is very good in hand to hand combat as a result
Do they just punch things or are they trained in martial arts?
Though finding a person that is a master at any one martial art is very unlikely, Rowan uses bits and pieces of Judo and Muay Thai and a hodgepodge of other more American fighting styles
Can they carry very heavy guns around easily or carry loads of supplies, or are they not that strong?
Though she does not prefer heavy guns due to her usual weapons of choice being melee weapons, revolvers, and rifles she will use them if need be. She also likes carrying as little as possible but is strong enough to deal with both if she has to.
In conclusion Rowan is stronk, but smol

The Fallout OC 7 Day SPECIAL - LUCK
Tumblr media
How fortunate (or not) overall is your OC?
His luck stat is 3. OP moment: This was decided between my RP partner and I to allow bad things to consistently happen and have them make somewhat sense, along with actual story stuff. Overall, he is pretty unfortunate. He could actually count as a jinxed character, which I can elaborate later with Isaac’s character 7 Day SPECIAL. To sum up some of his experiences, his parents were killed by Legion when he was 12. Right after, on his way to Zion, he nearly died from radiation sickness. While in Joshua’s care, Joshua struggled to find radaway and med-x as well as doctors with information to help Ezekiel. When Ezekiel received a mysterious new implant to save him, it failed to work. Fast forward, the implant worked. Ezekiel ran away from Daniel and ended up wounded constantly and in bad situations. Back in Zion, he has random skirmishes with spore carriers, mantis’, and raiders.
Do they seem to stumble upon necessary supplies easily or never seem to find what they need?
He does struggle with finding the things he needs, but his intelligence or attention span could also explain this. Perhaps he doesn’t look hard enough. Though, he does manage to find ammo pretty well!
Have they survived an injury that, had it been someone else, would have been fatal?
Well... possibly... yes.
Possibly, because, when he was 12 he suffered from severe radiation poisoning and made it to Zion from Goodsprings with the illness progressing as he ran. (In the game, I had him arrive to Zion with ~800 rads). His illness was near fatal and without the implant he would have certainly died. Radaway is available in the wasteland, but with his luck and him being in danger from the Legion, he would not have found any. So... other people could have survived it, but due to his low endurance, he would have picked up every little rad and he would have died.
A certain ‘yes’ for any injury he gets after the implant begins working. He’s been accidentally shot by Joshua a few times, he’s been spit on by those spore plants, attacked by spore carriers, Legion, NCR, gas bombs, has his hand nearly blown off, and who knows what else. But, that isn’t really luck, I think that’s more his additional endurance stats from the implant.
Do good things or bad things happen more around them?
Bad things tend to happen. He isn’t aware of them though. These don’t really show as attacks or lost items. They tend to show up as social things and background information, like issues he and his brother have internally or as a very broad thing. Hard to explain.

The Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Tumblr media
got busy with studies so i'll probably take a bit more time with those things
Day 2 - Perception
Sinclair
3 - Squinting Newt
How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions? Not great. Even before Benny shot him, Sinclair was a bit farsighted - not enough to need glasses to function, but still bothersome, especially when working at terminals. And then Benny shot out his left eye, and Sinclair’s sight took a farther dip. In theory, the Followers could get him a prescription, but as Arcade can confirm, it isn’t easy to find decent glasses out in a wasteland, and so Sinclair makes do with what he has. Therefore, his night vision is also atrocious, and he has to rely heavily on his Pip-Boy flashlight.
How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious? Despite trying to be constantly alert, Sinclair is prone to unconsciously focusing his attention on one/two things around him, and so often misses actually suspicious things (or notices it a bit too late).
How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch) Sinclair had just started to get actually good at aiming with guns - and then Benny destroyed his eye and any attempt at precise aiming with weapons became a kind of mute point. Still, if he has time to access it properly, he can be pretty good at gauging the area of damage that his grenades do (and if not he has a good habit of throwing/shooting then farther rather than closer).
How do they see the world around them? As a gladiator arena with him being the main entertainment - as in he has to constantly fight for the right to get something good or just not be fucked over by destiny’s next whim.
Innocence
6 - Alert Coyote
How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions? Ino’s eyesight is nothing extraordinary, but that’s nothing to sneeze on after getting shot in the head (just ask Sinclair). She’s also able to orient in low light, not supernaturally well, but just enough to keep toe-stubbing to the minimum.
How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious? Pretty quickly! Ino’s got an almost supernatural spider sense in regards to weird/suspicious things about her - the question is how quickly she connects the dots of that feeling with actual things that cause it.
How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch) While her aim is alright by itself, Ino has a hard time actually following it - her hands start shaking if she holds something heavy (like a gun) for any prolonged amount of time. She gets better with time, practice and medication, though in the end she decided that it would be easier to use a weapon that doesn’t require that much aiming instead (like her beloved Q-35 matter modulator)
How do they see the world around them? Before being shot by Benny, Ino saw her world as a monorail ride - a comfortable journey to a nice destination with a nice view along the way. Afterwards it’s a balancing act under the big top - eyes watching closely from every direction, risk of falling at the slightest misstep; the safety net should probably be somewhere underneath, but she can’t look down to check.

All of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. prompt art I did for Carmen! These were fun, tried to keep things really loose and sketchy and relaxed but I went a little further on a couple ones.

Fallout OC 7-Day SPECIAL
Day 5 - Intelligence
Tumblr media
Nat’s Score: 4 Can your OC read, write and do basic math?
All of the above! But, she’s better at giving speeches than she is at writing, and anything outside of basic math tends to go over her head.
What was the basis of their education i.e. were they formally educated or did they have to learn as they went?
A little of both. Nat went to college, and law school after that. Her undergraduate degree was in political science and international studies. She recognizes she was privileged enough to have a chance at that level of formal schooling.
But, in terms of combat and other skills necessary to survive in the wasteland - those were things she had to learn, often times painfully, along the way.
Do they favor brains over brawn?
Given that she’s got no brawn to speak of, brains it is!
Nat tends to overestimate her own intelligence, in part because of her formal schooling. Natasha is smart in a few ways that serve her well. Specifically, problem-solving. She can assess her surroundings quickly and identify Plans A, B, and C to get out of a sticky situation.
But, where her chaotic dumbass starts to show up is with the  “okay, what now?” that inevitably follows executing one of these plans. Good job, Nat, everyone is dead, you blew up the building, mission accomplished. Now how exactly are we supposed to dig ourselves out of the rubble? Her “solutions” sometime result in a stickier situation than before.
Actions have consequences, and Nat often falls into the fallacy of thinking her wit is going to save her from having to actually face them.
How good are they with technology?
Tech is not a strong suit for Nat. She relies on folks like Sturges and Tinker Tom (and even Danse on occasion) to hook her up with improvements for her gear and weapons. She can do some very basic upgrades, but it’s really better if someone else handles it.
She can handle some basic hacking, mostly by making educated guesses, but anything beyond the easiest level is outside of her skill set.

Day 2 - Perception
How good is your OC’s eyesight? Can they see well in low light conditions? Her eyesight is average - she’s never needed glasses. As for low-light conditions... yeah, I’d assume she can see in low light as well as the average person. Nothing to write home about.
How quickly or slowly do they notice anything suspicious? Very quickly - it’s very hard to get the jump on her! Although she’s always been observant, living in the Commonwealth has pushed her perception into overdrive - so much so that it’s borderline detrimental. Charlotte seems to be always on edge. Even in terms of reading people (discerning whether someone is being manipulative, lying, hiding something, etc), she’s quick to pick up on it.
How good is their aim? (this can be with any weapon or a punch) At the start of FO4, not amazing (gun-wise). She was better than a novice starting off - she used to hunt with her father before he died, so she already knew her way around a gun. But she hadn’t shot a gun in years when she woke up from cryo, so she was understandably rusty. However, after a little practice & some pointers from Danse, her aim is impeccable. She is quick to react and has a good eye from playing softball, and that foundation makes her a great shot.
How do they see the world around them? Charlotte is... ah, how do I describe it? An aspiring optimist? A practicing optimist? She makes a point of seeing the good in people and situations even when her gut reaction is negative. She isn’t naive, she just chooses to see the world in a more positive light to keep herself sane - especially when things seem so hopeless post Great War. This is why she doesn’t give up on Danse even when the Brotherhood’s beliefs directly contradict her own - she can see that he’s a good man and deserves compassion, care, and patience.

Fallout OC Seven Day S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Day 7: Luck
Luck 6: Stacked Deck | Scrounger, Just Lucky I’m Alive
Tumblr media
How fortunate (or not) overall is your OC?
She prefers Caravan to craps, if that’s what you’re asking. On the face of it, Agnes would be a contender for the unluckiest, lowliest, most wretched wanderer in the wasteland. Every scar she’s got is the story of some deeply regrettable encounter, but the deepest cuts don’t show: after a lifetime of bad breaks, misfortunes, and falling-outs, the promisingly stable, straight-and-narrow career she finally found as a courier was interrupted by a gunshot to the face. Still, in any of those situations, things could have gone worse—so much worse—to where she’s probably just lucky to be alive.
Do they seem to stumble upon necessary supplies easily or never seem to find what they need?
Agnes’ experience as both a scavenger and a burglar—and a sort of unspoken, unaware meta-philosophical outlook—have given her an attentive eye for the value in that which is valueless. Her habitual tinkering can bring most random junk up to either usable, repurposeable, or marketable state, and she’s intimately familiar with the nooks and crannies that others would usually overlook. Closed-off caches are especially prime to her, since very few doors, desks, and safes can hold out against her lockpicking skill. Ultimately, her need to keep up a steady supply of smokes, surgical supplies, and medications as well as food, water, and ammo push her to leave no stone unturned, and from thoroughness fortune tends to follow.
Have they survived an injury that, had it been someone else, would have been fatal?
A 9mm bullet to the face would count, obviously, though she didn’t exactly survive it without consequence. The trauma of the bullet’s entry caused her left eye to practically explode, to the extent that Doc Mitchell had no choice but to surgically remove what was left of it, and the neurological damage has resulted in persistent shakes in her right hand and arm—an especially debilitating handicap for a trauma surgeon. The bullet itself also carved yet another gruesome scar into her face, just above her brow. The other scars, a jagged patchwork across her left cheek and jaw, are from a near-death experience of their own: a childhood incident in which she was ████████ by a ██████████████ ███ █████ █████ while █████████ in an █████████ ███████ ████████. Everything else that’s almost killed her hasn’t been survived due to luck, but training: proficiency in trauma surgery and field medicine is a significant advantage when it comes to staying alive.
Do good things or bad things happen more around them?
Bad, bad, bad. To quote the late Johnny Tillotson: “it keeps right on a-hurtin’.”
