earlier today my sister saw the little rilakkuma digi painting i did and was like 'WHOA you're actually good!' which was nice to hear but also like ... i semi professionally draw and design things for money and have been doing this since my first paid commercial article in 2016 😭 like i also mention whenever i get fine arts or public art work so my family doesn't think i'm being lazy and only watching anime and eating snacks when i lock myself in my studio or something (altho i def watch things while i work). obviously i like hearing that members of my family think i'm good but lol I've been doing this for years?? i literally teach other adults and children how to do art for half of the week 😭 why are u so surprised

Why don't you ship Rika with Renamon? I'm genuinely curious, seeing how their relationship can be read as romantic.
Oh well, mostly because I feel really REALLY uncomfortable with f*rry "romantic" content in general, now imagine how uncomfortable I feel when the ship in question is humanxfurry.
Do I like werewolfs and humanoid animals? Yes, but not a big hard core fan, with Digimon being the exception.
My problem with Ruki and Renamon goes way back when I was very young in an age of not being exposed to N/S/F/W or p*rn; I loved tamers! It was when I was finally having internet at home and was able to use messenger to chat with my school friends so, of course I wanted Ruki and Renamon as profile pic (plus I also wanted pictures to print so I could decorate my notebooks) so it was easy to "google" for them... I would have never imagine what a 10 years old girl like me would encounter in the search.
And consider that most of the art featured a 11-ish years old Ruki, a minor, in 'that' kind of situation with Renamon, a genderless Digimon who end up being extremely sexualized to the point of being horribly disgusting. Of course, there was more Renamon p*rn, Ruki was barely there but the fact that I saw at least one was enough for me.
Now, I know how the series goes and I'm very aware of the "you look very beautiful under the moonlight" scene that clearly makes a reference to the classic "the moon is beautiful" implying an "I love you" and there is literally no way to deny this but that won't stop me from enjoying their tamer-partner relationship.
We also have the CD drama where the Tamers send voice messages (lol) to their digis within dust packets and surprisingly, Ruki's message is the longest track in the whole thing, there Ruki says how she always saw Renamon as an older sister figure, that they are family (even including the other tamers) so for me, that's more than enough to not wanting to ship them and respect their relationship as tamer-digimon.
So to resume: Ruki sees Renamon as an older sister, I don't like f*rryxhuman ships and I feel disgusted with extremely sexualized Renamon but platonic Rena-Ruki is fine I guess :3c

Hi I’m Ni (She/They; 20↑) , I love Digimon in general but the series I work more with is the OG Adventure series. I’m Ace/Panromantic, use she/her or they/them pronouns please. I’m a scaredy-cat kind of person who gets nervous and anxious at first, but once we start bonding I will drop those and be more of myself.
I love to learn new things, so please correct me if needed but without yelling at me because I kind of hate being yelled at, because I had bad personal life experiences in the past. My muses, despite some being quite closer to my personality are NOT me so please be aware of the differences between muse and writer.
I get super duper fired up when talking about the things I love the most. However I can be quite harsh and critical about said stuff as well. I tend to get a lot of brainstorms so if I’m messaging you that much please tell me and I will slow down my pace.
I also get excited when writing a thread, so I tend to reply hella quickly while I still have in mind what to say. Don’t rush me, but give me small reminders if I forget to reply since there’s a chance I actually forgot to or thought it was your turn when in fact I hadn’t replied in the first place.
I also draw. Like, a lot. Quite compulsive. Some of my non-canon-material icons are my own art. And I feel a bit uncomfortable by using other people’s art WITHOUT their permission. So yeah, I do my own doodled icons… When I get energy for those.

we have moved on from auntys to a different space. feeling safe, secure, aligned and welcomed in it. we have space to create, be exactly as we are without hesitation. we have opportunities to build career and make money. money and resource flows to us with ease and abundance before we need it. we're able to save up near 10k with strong resources and connections to take with us onto our next journey. we went to many events, networking and enjoying the fresh new art scene here. made a lot of sweet friends we'll always rmbr and try and keep in touch with! got to dress up to attend some raves and functions before leaving and felt that rush again. we were able to get a sturdy, clean and nice working car to take with us. so we roadtripped to east coast when we were ready. had a fun and safe journey that we documented on my digi cam that i got working months ago. work, community, opportunity and resource was waiting for us when we got there.
my closet has expanded in lingerie, dresses, furs, heels & boots, accessories, gothic/whimsy/avant-garde pieces ive had my eyes on, and pieces ive made that match vision. my nails are done to my liking and ive learned new hairstyles for my hair. my hairs in long braids again and i feel like a version of myself ive always loved too again. i have skincare in my collection again and oud to my disposal. blue lotus and other herbs are available to smoke in my pretty patterned cones. ive gotten all of the makeup necessities i needed and im painted how i wished to be. my needs are met in every way in order for me to be able to reach for the things i want and be reached back out to immediately.
femmehood and stone identities feel like a different home from being a stud/transmasc and ive gotten to hold a deeper understanding in me of it. i love all the ways lesbianism grows and shows up in me and i love the community ive formed within it, and i love loving and protecting butches and studs and other femmes and i love the way we exist regardless of how i may evolve thru different subculture identities and feel lost or found again and again within it all.
i feel more and more anchored, secured, sturdy and deeply in love everyday with my baby. and my heart holds them like my lungs hold air. they are a sure thing by my side and we've been able to grow more into ourselves while loving each other and have been able to experience our own connections of love and intimacy and life outside of ezch other too. we are beating the codependent allegations everyday!
ive been able to maintain my friendships from back in uae and phoenix and i hold these people dear to me and im held in the same regard. im reminded of their love just as much as i make mine known and we elevate each other in love and joy and communion. i continously draw ppl in with the same energy and alignment and my global community/family is growing gradually and with so much love and care.

Ej Hauser
Discovery is EJ Hauser in the WINDOW on Walker Street in Tribeca and the off-the-grid gallery in downtown LA. Brooklyn-based artist, EJ Hauser, syncs her drawing and painting practice. Her previous digi-beasts disappeared, leaving simplified traces of her own mark-making language that combines art, nature, the origins of technology and subconscious emotion. The tension between spiritual satisfaction through nature and a technological takeover, illustrated in cleverly analogous visual language, speaks to the juxtaposition of contemporary life. Mountain peaks and waves are so subtly represented through marks, one can see intention through repetitive, layered abstraction. Orchard Thinking, 2022, is a show-stopper with CMYK pink and cyan blue punch.
Lucy Mu Li
Like Hauser, Lucy Mu Li from Southern California is interdisciplinary, combining photography and painting. Playing on the elements of water, earth, and sky Li’s philosophical paintings are metaphors for that which embodies life itself. She has an obsession with infinity as one painting extends to the next continuing the metaphysical narrative, “time is the artist, water is the hand that paints, stone is the traveler”. Moving are references to love, family, elders, aging and how time transforms stones (humans) into sand. So inspired by one of her titles, to age is to unearth, I jotted it down as a reminder. In response, unearthing exceptional female emerging artists is the intent. If I could only express in two words Li’s work, like a condensed haiku, it would be moving movement.
Jadé Fadojutimi
Drawing on her eclectic interests in Japanese anime and sounds, like the Crown soundtrack, one can imagine the atmosphere of Fadojutimi’s South London studio. The bold energy of her vibrant colors, brushstrokes and large-scale canvases create excitement and a feeling of awe and wonder as if you’ve had an epiphany about what life should be if you were living it properly. Fadojutimi’s world sparks an urge to dance, sing without shame, walk the red carpet wearing something fabulous while running through an English floral garden. Too much? Maybe not, she expressed, “It is heartbreakingly beautiful just to exist. I mean those two words literally. Life is really fucking beautiful. It just means accepting everything that comes with it, spilling into the time that we have; one of the many definitions of ‘love’”. Abstract girls rule in part because they love to express love.
Heather Day
Another California abstract artist, Heather Day, deconstructs compositions and reinvents through a rearrangement of disrupted composition. The freshness lies in its deconstruction and yet she achieves a harmonious flow from one panel of canvas to the next. Blue Prism No. 1 and Rose Prism No. 1 are like cut-up Frankenthalers repurposed and defaced with mixed media. Giving geometry to stained canvas and blended paint may seem irreverent, but it’s the deconstruction of preciousness and reimaging Abstract Expressionism that is au courant. Almost juvenile marks of finger-smudged color add a precocious yet intentional flair. Day’s work is more purely abstract and when her titles become verbs, the paintings take on a simplistic, mysterious identity.

Adhering to a Country-Centred Design Approach
As we are designing with specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in mind we must adhere to a country-centered design to ensure we remain culturally sensitive and aware in our representations of Indigenous culture and to ensure the most accurate and respectful projection of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Thus, we must collaborate and consult with individuals connected to the culture to avoid allowing personal biases and cultural practices to impede on our design practices. Importantly, we must afford Aboriginal professionals and experts the opportunity to directly comment and participate in the construction of our prototype, to accurately, respectfully and responsibly engage with a country-centered design. Therefore, our design will be heavily connected to the land, culture and Indigenous individuals, facilitating a space for their voices, history, land and families to have a say in the arts industry.
In the development of our final prototype I deemed it very important, due to the fact that our end goal was to create a culturally inclusive arts initiative, that our group design with country to ensure that we prioritize Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals specific needs and ensure that the inherent and inextricable nature of country and its nuances be reflected throughout our design. I developed this paragraph with AIDR’s (2020) ‘Designing With Country’ paper in mind to put in our group’s shared notes and was intended for the final prototype in order to guide our decision-making processes. In our preliminary field research we took into consideration Dr Kristefan Minski’s notes from our first presentation and I compiled a list of potential contacts for everyone to consider, to determine potential learnings from each and their potential value to our overall goals. Contacts included artistic directors and developing artists from Digi Youth Arts, a program sponsoring and supporting Indigenous creatives by encouraging, documenting and sharing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, who would’ve provided insight into the effectiveness of their program from both a user and a leaders perspective. Due to our strict time constraint I also included Kathleen Butler from the University of Newcastle’s Wollotuka Institute, to ensure cultural sensitivity as well as inform us as to the best ways to support Aboriginal women in our prototyped program.

The Bright International Film Score Composer: Elliot Leung(梁皓一): What Is The Way For a Young Person To Build A Future?
It was said that by failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail. I, terribly, prepare too much. I get so wrapped up in what should happen. I lost too many times the opportunity to be amazed, if not amused, by what was unpredictable.
The great film score composer Elliot Leung(梁皓一) is lucky, not only because he is at his golden age of 28, but because he has planned his life well and yet when things did not happen as he wished, he never got thrown off or discouraged.
Elliot put his hands together and smiled, “I know what I am doing. Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to cry for the moon and do the impossible. If my dream has a less-than-10% chance of happening, why should I be unhappy?” I was puzzled, “Why should you do it?” He explained, “To succeed is to be uncommon. I always look for a career that does not presently exist and work out a situation that cannot presently be allowed.” I admired, “It must be your way to create future success!”
Elliot came from a family filled up with artistic inspirations. His father aspired to be a painter and his mother aspired to be a musician. Only Elliot’s ambition was fulfilled.
Elliot said, “My parents sent me to good schools including St. Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School and International Christian School. I played piano, cello and learnt how to conduct music. At the end, I decided to be a composer. Great pieces of musical work containing beautiful movements are the source of all spiritual joyfulness. A composer is the first one who gets off the mark in the chain of music.”
I asked, “At your age, you are a tremendously successful composer. How could you do it?” Elliot grinned like a Cheshire cat, “I just got one thing right and the rest are hard work and luck. When I had to decide what college to go, I told myself I should find a music master who could help my dream. My dream was to combine classical concert music and digital music and present a new kind of music for the future. After researching different ones, I chose Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in which the eminent master Martin O'Donnell who wrote excellent music for the world-famous video games Halo, Myth and Destiny. Master O'Donnell is a choosy teacher and got only 2 pupils. One was me! Apart from coaching me, his slanting rays shone into my open window, lighting up the room of my life. I was given many great opportunities because of his connections and reputation!”
I asked, “Since 2016, you have achieved a lot: music scoring for 2 blockbuster films Operation Red Sea (紅海行動) and The Battle at Lake Changjin (長津湖), composing for the 1st ‘metaverse concert’ by Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, being a member of the prestigious management company Kraft-Engel which is one of the world’s leading agencies specializing in representing film and theatre composers.”
Elliot added, “I will have another concert in Shanghai. I will produce a music album with Sony. I have been working on a film scoring project for a Hollywood production. I am writing music for a video game called Six Days in Fallujah. Being busy is great because it shows that my contributions is valued. It also shows that I have a ton of responsibilities. But, I never feel overstressed as I am glad that I can do so much.”
Before I called it a day, I asked Elliot, “What will be your future like?” He gave my question a serious thought, “I will treasure my amazing opportunities. I will work very hard. I will fly back and forth to work. Everybody is just going, but I must keep going extra miles. Music composing will be my career. I don’t want to do conducting in music. I think it will be a fun time if my music can be interpreted by others instead of myself. The technology challenges the art, and the art will inspire the technology. I am very lucky to live in a brave new technological world. I really aspire to blend fine concert music and digital music together. There will be a whole assortment of impossible tasks waiting for me to tackle. I am excited about chasing my dreams over and over again.”
I pretended to be puzzled, “Do you think other young people can follow your example?” Elliot conceded, “I may be too lucky. I do wish other young people to keep believing and dreaming. Hold fast to the dreams. At the same time, remember that curiosity is one of the most important elements of success. Do have a good understanding of how the world will go. Learn the ability to express yourself without fear. Never feel shy because there must be people around you who share the same music. Don’t bother your boss or colleagues too much and develop the room for trying to make your own decisions which you think may be right. Independence is doing the right thing without being told.”
Finally, Elliot had a brainwave and said, “In Asia, people used to think film scoring is a supplementary and secondary job for filmmaking. This is very inaccurate. We are not just soundtrack writers. Film music composer is surely part of the team but does not simply serve the director. It is a job of collaboration and he can be as important as a director in terms of creating wonderful inspirations of a film.”
The social unrest in Hong Kong in 2019 is the worst time but it can be the best. Nothing in life can be worser than that because everyone is back to the starting line. Why don’t you get your sneakers and run now!
