I just finished reading “fault lines” and I love it! Thank you for correcting the shit that needed to be corrected about season 4! I especially liked getting into Nancy and Robins reactions to each other with the library/penhurst moments.

I love Max and Steve’s relationship too! Steve telling Robin he’ll date a man when she dates a woman 🤣 And Steve helping Dustin understand Lucas’s hurt feelings! Lucas’s feelings after the game and his thought process about Eddie after finding out about Chrissy! Lucas and Patrick’s relationship 😭 SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGING THAT ROBIN IS THE ONE WHO DID WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE AND FIGURED SHIT OUT MULTIPLE TIMES!

On a separate note, since poor Patrick is about to have a bummer of a time… I can’t think of a single fic I’ve read that acknowledges the impact that witnessing Patrick’s death has on Eddie (also the impact is has on Lucas later on). It’s super weird to me because yes obviously witnessing Chrissy’s death is like the life trauma of all life traumas but then to go through the same exact thing a second time days later?!?! It’s unimaginable yet Chrissy’s death is the only one people write about with meaning for him. Ugh that’s all just needed to vent about that…

nancy and robin have actually been really fun to write. i did not at all plan to go in the direction i have, but it just kinda happened lmao. i wanted to make sure that i acknowledged that it was largely robin that figured out how to save max, and nancy was just kinda… naturally annoyed by that? like, obviously she wants everyone to be saved, and she’s glad that robin did that. but not being the one to do it makes her feel, useless, almost? like she’s not totally sure what to do now. which is just the start of the arc i have planned for her!!

max and steve, i just love, so i knew i had to properly show their relationship. he’s her brother!!! and they’ve got a few more moments in the next chapter, which i’m pretty excited for!! and yeah, i really wanted to address the whole lucas/hellfire situation, but i didn’t want it to feel shoehorned in. so i got it started in the last chapter, but we are gonna be revisiting it! in this fic, dustin really is just drowning in guilt already lmao, i didn’t want to shove it on the poor boy all in one.

lucas has actually been pretty hard to write, because he’s away from the others, and i really had to figure out his motivations for staying beside the jocks. i also wanted to present, like, why people were so ready to believe that eddie killed chrissy, so lucas just kinda became that viewpoint.

i knew i wanted to give patrick a little bit more than he got in the show! so i gave him and lucas a little moment, and then as we get into his… not so great day, we’ll see him a bit more! i just wasn’t really satisfied with lucas saying he got beat after his death, and that just being the reason he was a vecna victim.

and yeah!! jason literally starts believing that the devil is possessing eddie after patrick’s death, and what? eddie’s just all cool in the gang? everyone focuses on chrissy when it comes to his trauma, but god, i can’t imagine how fucked up patrick’s death made him.

and i’ll try to get it out quick! but sadly i’m a slow writer lmao.
