"International Anthem (Phocust Remix)" by Flux Pavilion f/ Doktor!
i know a lot of people like to use "gas" to describe tracks they like. but in my opinion, it gets overused. not every track can have that sort of drive, that sort of fire. and i've certainly heard that term used to describe deep dub tracks that are all wobbles and no actual energy. but this right here? the big singalong in the breakdown. the call to action on the drop. and the HUGE tearout sound that has driven 2023. dubstep is back, and it's tracks like this fueling it.
Song of the day: Eliminate & Flux Pavilion - Dawn (feat. meesh)
Genre: Happy Hardcore? Kinda?
These two COOKED on this main melody. I heard this track for the first time and was able to remember it almost perfectly like half an hour later, which means they're doing something right. Only thing I don't love about this track is the recycled drop synth (it is LITERALLY the same preset Eliminate used on Mula), I feel like it doesn't fit the vibes of the rest of the track. 2nd drop is like perfect though.
Do yourself a favor and go listen to Get Off The Internet, it's a crazy diverse album with some great highlights, but I do think this is it's best track.
