"Thought I was having trouble with my adding. It's alright now."
I liked the part with the hat shooting contest.
A great story about greed and revenge, with an excellent cast, iconic characters, and superb pacing. There are so many memorable set-pieces in this movie, and the quick-draw stand-offs in particular are among the finest to ever be filmed. Anywhere that A Fistful of Dollars was rough around the edges, For a Few Dollars More has been expertly honed.
The fantastic Morricone score, with its jaw harp and twangy guitars is perhaps my favourite of the trilogy; It weaves itself expertly into every scene, and I love the way it incorporates and builds upon the melody of the pocket-watches. There is one amazing moment in the abandoned church-house where the little music box tune gives way to a dramatic pipe organ score as the tension builds before a shoot-out. Truly remarkable.
An incredible movie that just about perfectly encapsulates what I love about the Western genre.
