people are like im 37 years old and assumedly have a whole life with a job and friends but i spend sooo much energy thinking about how the biggest problem in the world is that pedophilic content is censored and not easily available and i make infographics about it and how awesome it is to be attracted to children and how it is ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR to tell someone online that it’s disgusting, and actually i think it’s just like homophobia (i’m allowed to say that because i’m queer) and we need to celebrate our FREEDOM to do anything we want (be attracted to children) and if you point out my age YOU’RE BEING AGEIST and we cherish our precious incest ships because there’s nothing better than a story about forbidden love (and if someone is trying to CENSOR a specific kind of story, that means it should be celebrated so much more [i hate oppression sooo much... btw i hate most Black characters, for mysterious reasons]) and also i have a huge over-reliance on tropes because there’s absolutely no substance to what i write and everything i read has to be the same story over and over again and i have mental breakdowns over people telling me every day that im a bad person? that i am dangerous to kids (again, i’m queer so this kind of statement sounds very suspicious and familiar. ignore the fact that i enjoy sexual content about children)? that i should touch grass? that i should stop pretending criticism of people like me spawns from puritanical beliefs? that i should stop pretending this is meaningful commentary on fandom culture? that i should stop reminiscing about the good ol’ days (REMEMBER FANDOM HISTORY!!! THIS IS FOR SOME REASON SO INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT!!!!! REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!! WHY ARE WE ACTING LIKE THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT CULTURAL THING!!) when apparently everyone in fandom loved pedophilia, before you pesky KIDS came along and ruined it.......... oh.............. that i should stop pretending my ideology is against bullying and harassment (ignore how i sic my badass pedophile friend group onto people to make clumsy insults about them if someone DARES to try to say anything critical about me flaunting my attraction to children)? that i am repulsive and my life has no value and i add nothing to this world and i should die HEY WAIT that sounds exactly like fascism, don’t those guys try to eradicate certain types of people? you seriously want to do a pedophile genocide? oh, you’re just saying it on an individual basis and you don’t think there should be a systemic ability to kill people for any reason? i can’t believe you openly hurl DEATH THREATS at people... isn’t that morally reprehensible? what if i said i think people are born this way? i can’t change this about me, so why should it be condemned (ignore how it’s very much a choice to seek out pedophilic media and constantly engage with it and spends hours upon hours drawing or writing that shit and posting about it and making it my entire personality and life)? am i supposed to just NOT reply obsessively to each and every comment that rightfully upset fourteen year olds leave on my posts and act like i deserve a reminder every second of the day that my choices are fucking terrible and i make a very dangerous environment for everyone, but especially young people who simply want to talk about their cartoons in peace? am i just not supposed to post my explicitly sexual art of the characters while using the main tags and putting no kind of warning (ignore how i love to tell people to curate their online experience and say that we ALWAYS make it easy to avoid seeing this shit) hey also, this time, the art wasn’t even depicting characters who are minors so i don’t know what you people are getting so upset about! i can’t believe every single one of you folx who are AGAINST people like me definitely all know each other and all communicate in a giant group chat and talk about how to conspire against us innocents! i can’t believe that you would say such things to VICTIMS OF CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE (nobody else except us has ever actually experienced this btw and differing views are just wrong, but i am totally a reasonable normal person) or say that our background means nothing regarding our choices and actually makes it worse because we use our victimhood as a way to groom people into our cult or try to soften what we really get up to or that we encourage abuse victims to read triggering content because no no it’s soooo healing and normal and healthy - ONE therapist i heard of said it was okay - or if you have intrusive thoughts because of ocd, you should also totally engage with pedophilic content- have you ever heard of immersion therapy? it’s the exact same thing and it won’t do anything weird to your brain at ALL and you’ll have really regular, healthy perceptions of the world and people, and be able to interact with others in a really Usual and Not odd way. if you have a problem with my online presence then uhhhh i think you’re a big whiny snowflake, you’re probably like TWELVE years old (i evidently really hate kids, they’re ALWAYS pestering me and snivelling so uh KIDS DNI, but also i just read smut involving a kid this same age) and you wouldn’t survive anywhere in the REAL world... but anyway yeah, fiction has no affect on reality and that’s why i have such a tight grip on all this fiction i enjoy and spend every waking moment of my day thinking about.
also please tag any criticism about media i like. it will ruin my day if i see a worldview that differs from mine, or anything that adds complexity or nuance to my interests. thank you.

TW: MENTIONS OF DISCOURSE, GR//MING, P/D/PHILIA, ASS//LT, C//NSENT, D//RK CONTENT.
- this isnt under a read more because i want people to read this, but please read past this/tread carefully if you cannot handle such topics. this is not meant to be interacted with.
I'm not sure how to really go about this. I've been overthinking if I should address this and bring up some stuff while I've been gone, so sorry the absence. I deleted the tumblr app a few days ago and I downloaded it again today so i could post this. I really don't like making posts like this because it cuts the vibe that I've been trying to portray that everything is okay and it makes me feel really disconnected to you guys. I am sorry for the abrupt absence and cutting off any source of communication between us. I knew if I left any form of direct line of talk to me that I would receive hate and I just mentally decided that I cant sit through being harassed right now.
Have you guys ever paid attention to the same people who always have a statement to say or is always in discourse? It's very telling how everyone can post about me, but I shouldnt dare post about them. I'm tired of not being able to post about what I want without people vague posting about me, bringing me up every time they start another discourse with another writer or directly talking about me. My days on here are starting to feel the same. Its good then it goes bad. Good goes bad and bad goes good. It's not even tiring, annoying, or angering -- its repetitive. When I'm not saying anything people create fake stories about me, and when i speak about it im the one starting discourse. Don't get me wrong, I'm nowhere near perfect and I have made my own mistakes. But why the fuck am I always being told to be the mature one, why am I the one who should've done better, why do you people expect so much from me. It's the fact people are always quick to say, "no one cares about you, youre fishing for attention" when they're the ones who vague and interact with me while ive been minding my business for months now. Hm. The fact people have me proudly blocked but still harass me anyways shows a lot about themselves than it does for me. How its such an issue that im a minor until it comes to demonizing, tearing down my character, gaslighting, lying and bullying. I'm a literal example of how their friend group manipulates their followers and exiles people from fandoms for not kissing their ass. except now its in your face.
Consider this my last post about this discourse. I'm not going to waste my time on people who fail to digest other peoples thoughts and opinions time and time again because theyre weak narcissists. If I so choose to decide to shit post my opinions or argue with someone, none of you should be aggravated or moved by it because youre not even supposed to be on my page. If its not something serious i will not be wasting energy that i can be using to build on myself as a growing person than on miserable old ladies that have to use fanfiction to have excitement in their pity, depressing and lackluster lives. If people so do choose to create stories or vague about me, I do not care. So I ask respectfully to people who do lurk on my page to not attempt to message, post or vague about me please. This includes sending anons to yourself to make shit happen.
Past that, something got me thinking. My (older) friend had showed me screenshots of adult writers (no one i have spoken to) that were very excited to write underaged reader with adult characters. There are other instances where writers (that you have probably read from) on here openly made reader underage while aging characters up as adults/with adults. There are many more but there's really no point in listing them nor do I really care. But least to say, the same people who are gung-ho over these pedophilic themes/stories are the same people who support predatory people.
I've been thinking about whether or not i should continue writing for the students anymore. Granted, I still think they're attractive because one snap of the fingers cant stop that. I had been teetering on this thought for awhile because of how borderline pedophilic the people are here towards my age group. I enjoy writing but not to the point of willingly being in a straight line of sight where people who are well over 16 are harassing me and lurking on my page, especially to other minors solely because they are my friends. Backtracking to the statement before, I honestly dont know if I will either stop writing or just for the students as a whole. It shows that clearly some people are using their attraction to teens with the excuse that the characters are fake. The rapid normalization on dark problematic "kinks" is disgusting and vile, and the fact that its discourse now to shame said interests is appalling. Concluding that combined with my experiences here, i feel unsafe.
***(TRIGGER WARNING)*** I dont talk about my personal life on here that much cause I dont see the need too nor do i think its anyone's business. Paired with the fact that the people i have trusted personal information with have used it against me, I will be preventing myself from opening that door. Besides that for now, I have sparsely shared I've been assaulted before. This is my first time really opening up about this and i kind of find it necessary now. Coming from someone who has been a victim of assault and CP by people my age and well over, writing nsfw has been the only way where I could feel comfortable with sex in general. I won't get into details because mentioning this is triggering already and can make people uncomfortable. It feels like anywhere I go, I'm constantly putting myself in a position to be abused. The same people who told me I didn't have to worry about my age and be judged for it, exposed the minimum comfort of keeping myself private online to demonize, judge and hurt me. People call me "extra" for being distraught about my face and age being posted because they think im trying to be sneaky which isn't the case. Its the principle that they KNEW I wasnt ready to share said things, and coming from someone who is inherently a private and closed person, she knew damn well what she was doing when posting screenshots of me on Tumblr. There is no excuse for it. The same writers who write dub/non-con can BARELY understand basic consent and its fucking terrifying. This site was the only other place I could cope without being criticized. To see people who some i was close to proudly lie on my name, (adults) say that i sent them pornographic content without their consent is so very hurtful. To watch people supposedly be victims and then use their own trauma to invalidate my own was so fucking humiliating, disgusting and nerve wracking. Although I knew I made the terrible decision to interact with stories, I have never initiated any NSFW discussion with anyone in DMs unless they did it with me first and a few times -- and trust me raise your hand I'll show you the proof. I was sure that everyone I talked to regularly knew that I was a minor, and to my general consensus, people were under the impression I was 15/16 (which I was and am).***
Whether it be victim blaming from the grooming discourse, I've been met with racism, harassment towards my friends, people wanting me to harm myself and be assaulted. I fear what will happen when i will turn 18, if the harassment will escalate and what not. A big part of me is that I'm still here anyways because it pisses people off and I don't care when I receive hate. I can take it but I don't want it. A good conscious of me knows that I should be doing what's best for me but at the end I'm still attached to my ego-self with the added fact that I sincerely enjoy interacting with my followers and posting stories.
I just don't know how the options look. I'll probably be updating my blog rules as of right now. I've been writing more sfw lately because of this and it'd be nice if you guys supported those until I properly decide. I still have plenty of requests of a bunch of characters (mostly Bakugo and Dabi) and original stuff (all sfw & nsfw) that I really wanna share with you guys. But I just ask that what I do modify that you will respect it like you would to any other writer on here.
Stay safe, keep your mask on, and thank you.

How to be given the moral high ground on a silver platter, and still manage to flush it down the drain
I'll be the first to acknowledge that RHP is a VERY tone-deaf individual at times, and in the process of defending orthodox theology he often becomes very abrasive. Counterproductively so, I would say.
Additionally, I have criticised him on at least one occasion for inaccurately and indiscriminately using the word homosexual, making it almost a slur in the context, and although he did acknowledge his error at first, nevertheless he did not seem to heed my promise for too long. In his most recent answer posted from @anti-christophobia, he seems to have reverted to this insensitive usage of the word.
(I have other problems with his positions as well, but these are another story.)
So, with his recent post, there came also the predictable backlash from some anti-Christian leftists. Surely, I said, they must be pointing out his insensitive behaviour! Surely, I said, they must have some form of rational and just criticism to offer this time!
...if only.
It seems a regular pattern that, whenever I am disappointed with (or even outraged at) the behaviour of a fellow Conservative/Christian, the SJWs will ALWAYS be there and they will STILL do their best to act as sh**ty as possible.
First, let us see how the #RightSideOfHistory put us irrational, benighted Christian Neanderthals in our place with their inimitable Reason and Logic:
Tumblr media
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, thanks to the internet, everyone and their cat is now a biblical scholar.
But by golly, how could anyone stay unconvinced by this IMPECCABLE display of Reason and Logic? I struggle to even imagine how one could EVER insist that the convincing power of a couple dozen sources is even REMOTELY comparable in power to Chemical Swirls' SLAM-DUNK argument, which is an appeal to someone somewhere! In other words, hearsay!
And, as always, ain't it ever such sweet hypocrisy that, by some strange law of the universe, it is everybody else on the planet, EXCEPT orthodox Christians, that get to decide what orthodox Christianity really is and who the real Christians are.
So, we've got the Intellectual Superiority on full display at hand. First phase of the recipe is complete. What is missing now but an additional display of Moral Superiority! And who should come first to display the infinitely superior morality of the #RightSideOfHistory but the ever-appropriately named "pro choice is pro compassion"! Here's your ""compassion"", then:
Tumblr media
Don't you just feel the compassion flowing like a river from the above response?
But wait! There's more!
Tumblr media
Without ever denying, or hesitating to condemn, the hatred, bigotry and violence which exists against other religious groups, I nevertheless have to point out once more that it is only Christians who do not get to enjoy the ""luxury"" of having (oh for the tragic irony) such compassion extended to them, namely for people to recognise (without turning the discussion into some Oppression Olympics thing) that there ARE individuals (and sometimes also structures) out there who foster deep hatred for our religion, and sometimes that has VERY deep repercussions for us.
On the contrary, what treatment do we receive again in this case? The same one to which we've been treated on too many occasions to count. The Tolerant(TM) and Compassionate(TM) paragons of social """justice""" are here to remind us once more that the very concept of Christophobia is "pathetic", and essentially that the worst kind of inconvenience that a Christian will ever come to face due to his religion is mere hurt feelings.
Since it seems, then, that we have learnt absolutely NOTHING over the years, let me repeat myself yet again:
This blog, and much more so @anti-christophobia, have, over the years, recorded numerous occasions of injustices and mistreatment faced by Christians, ranging from slander and fake news to unjust academic punishment, to stripping of constitutional rights, to harassment and death threats, even to outright persecution (Middle East, Communist countries) and terrorism (Sunderland Springs). Nevertheless, in spite of all this, according to people like these Paragons of Love and Tolerance, irrational hatred/fear of Christians doesn't exist, our expecting even the same elementary courtesy and justice which is normally extended with grace to every other religious group means we want everything to "cater to our religion”, we’re supposed to sit down and suck it all up, if not even say thanks for being hated, and if we DARE to speak up that means we have a “persecution complex”.
So thank you ever so sincerely, dear SJWs, for showing to the world what hypocrites you are, how vacuous your speak of "Love" and "Reason" and "Compassion" is, and for giving me reason upon reason to NEVER join your hateful, miserable ranks.
You are a shame unto every virtue you claim to fight for.

this started off as navelgazing about a line from a book, then turned into an anxious rant about current events
“Inborn in nearly every artist is a tendency to accept injustice if it creates beauty” (Death in Venice, 21). well, idk about inborn, bc i had to go out of my way to shed the opposite tendency, but i do think it’s true that this mentality is necessary for… art and also other kinds of thought, anything where you need unfettered curiosity. but the painting of it as a vice interests me lately, because i’m starting to think i may have gone too far in this direction? the quoted line speaks to an assumption that indignation is a thing you should practice whenever relevant so you don’t lose it. that if something strikes you as unfair, you should always prioritize that impression over everything else you might notice about the situation that provokes that response. in this scene, that even though it’s not clear how it would help anyone for aschenbach to disapprove of this family’s treatment of the three daughters, it’s still a vice for him to brush it aside because he likes watching the son whose personality he thinks results from this favoritism.
i think we assume this because we fear that failing to deplore an instance of injustice when we see it makes us complicit? which, in and of itself, is clearly not true; that’s just thoughtcrime. like: unless you maintain that it’s his responsibility to tell the parents off, or to do something nice for the girls to compensate,* there’s no reason to view aschenbach’s feeling of “yeah well that sucks but it’s interesting to watch” as any worse than thinking “those terrible parents! how dare they deprive three out of four of their kids in this way”? bc there’s no consequential difference.
but. i think… maybe there is something to be said for cultivating this habit? because, at least for me, this kinda has led to a sort of complacency, a feeling that it’s not my place to judge people (or that there’s nothing i can do to fix injustice when i see it, but mostly the first thing: i tend to assume i don’t know enough about other people’s situations to judge, much less to try to correct or advise people). and that’s true??? like, in part i think this mental habit must have grown out of the axiom not to give medical advice to chronically ill people. i… have a tendency to internalize advice across the board, rather than situationally. i.e., to take this as meaning, “people know more about their own problems than you do,” and also, as meaning, “they’re already doing their best; nobody fails on purpose.” and generalizing that to situations where the “failure” is one of cruelty rather than of just not being as healthy/happy as it seems to you people should be. like: i have rooted out just-world hypothesis so thoroughly, i have so much contempt for that “obviously it’s possible to be better” mentality, that i apply it even when what i see looks to me like. someone being mean to their children. and to a certain extent this seems right to me??? like, parents fearing everyone around them thinks they’re evil because their kid is crying, when really all they deprived this poor child of is a piece of candy she found on the floor, is a real thing, and, i honestly cannot think of a time when i’ve seen a parent say or do something harsh to their child where something like this couldn’t easily have been the explanation. plus, the possibility they might take it out on their children still exists!
but i think maybe the specifics here are confusing the question? either that or the question is so abstract/fake that it’s not one i need to answer. so here: the root of my anxiety is this: i sometimes worry there’s something wrong with me because i’m not obsessed with the BLM protests going on, or at least, not in the way so many people imply i should be. it’s not that i lack empathy for the victims?—i do tear up when i think too hard about george floyd, or that man with the food cart who used to serve the cops for free. it’s just… that this sense of injustice doesn’t lead to any conviction. i don’t feel the righteousness of the protests; i’m detached enough to wonder intellectually about their effectiveness. although?? i guess that’s not wholly true either, because when i first heard about them my very first thought was “OH GOD NO NOT THIS AGAIN! YOU’RE ALL GONNA GET KILLED!”—a combination of fear at what might (…would, from today’s perspective) happen to the people involved, and dismay at the knowledge i was going to have to perform supportiveness about it.
for the record: i do think police brutality is evil, and that the police are corrupt and overpowered and groomed to be racist; also, from what i’ve heard, the protests have helped create a lot of policy changes, so from that standpoint i guess i support them. or, at least, congratulate them on a job well done. but: i think holding protests during a pandemic is fucking insane, especially since the thing protestors demand a stop to is unnecessary death. people keep telling me this is a crucial moment for the black community, and i think that at this point that’s true, but, afaik there’s no good strategic reason we can point to for why it had to be now, and i don’t like… well ok, let me start again. i wouldn’t mind having to say “yeah, well, straw that broke the camel’s back,” if i didn’t feel like that excuse precluded all criticism of the protests’ timing.** in my own life, when i reflect on times in my life when i’ve done things whose consequences i regret, i often have to conclude that under the circumstances i can’t have expected anything better from myself. but i still get to say i shouldn’t have done that. maybe i’m being greedy with my cake here, i just. ugh. it just pisses me off, the hypocrisy about covid, because the whole point of lockdowns and social distancing &c. was that no one person’s or group’s interests outweigh the risks to the human race at large. but now it’s apparently more important for even the unaffected members of said human race to stand in solidarity with the minorities who are affected by this latest crisis--as in, literally stand there, in public, right next to them, even if that means that two weeks later they come down with the plague. like?? you can’t even say “but this is a matter of life and death”! because covid is an even wider-reaching matter of life and death!!!!
also, the most common justification i hear is that the number of horrible things we’ve seen the police inflict on protestors proves we need to keep protesting. and politically speaking that does seem to be working? but IT’S STILL KIND OF FUCKING GHOULISH to hear that we as a nation have a responsibility to give the cops more opportunities to kill innocent people. like. i can intellectually say “yes, you’re right, i think it’s working,” but i can’t seem to feel that as a duty or a righteous cause.
…what was my point again? oh right: that i worry this makes me a Bad Person, or at least that everyone around me would think i was a Bad Person if i told them how i felt. and that i specifically worry my emotions are wrong, because i should be having… the kind of patriotism proust talks about (though for BLM and the left &c. rather than for america itself, obviously), but instead i’m like “aaagh ok fine if you have to but GOD I WISH THIS WOULD STOP.” and apparently, wanting it to stop means siding with the oppressors. and i guess… god, do you know what it is? honestly, i’m so short-sighted that a return to the status quo does sound better to me than this chaos. i don’t disbelieve people who assert that only a bitter fight like this can force change? intellectually i think maybe that’s true. but emotionally, i hate it, and on an animal level i don’t really believe it. the animal in me believes only that positive change is slow and unsatisfying, regardless of how you accomplish it.
*both of which seem to me Too Risky because option a might end with their harassing the girls over it (e.g., “this stranger over here thinks you’re being mistreated. if he only knew you like i do…!”), while option b, coming from an older, solitary man, might strike both the girls and their parents as a creepy, lecherous thing, in which case the girls might view it as insulting or even traumatizing rather than as a favor to them.
**especially the timing of protests like the one in my own town last weekend. they marched to the city police station--even though the one widely-known violent incident in our town in the last decade was perpetrated by the university police department--on, afaict, general ACAB principle. my friend who attended says the anger felt real, not just like a performance, but they weren’t agitating for any concrete changes here, you know?? so idg why it was worth infecting people.

A very interesting read
Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s fans are fighting a fierce new royal feud
In the world of British duchess fandom, there’s no room for divided loyalties: praising one means automatically 'hating' the other, writes Patricia Treble
A new war started in 2018, and it’s a take-no-prisoners affair with major implications for the future of the royal family. The once-genteel, even genial, online world of royal watching has been turned upside down and inside out as fans of Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, duel for social media supremacy and, in the process, tear down anyone who dares to challenge their view of the royal world. There’s no room for divided loyalties: praising one means automatically “hating” the other.
Signs of the slagging aren’t hard to find. Just dive into the royal family’s own social media accounts, then follow the online infection trail. “Please give us MORE MORE MORE of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Sick to absolute death of fake narcissistic MeAgain Markle,” a commenter wrote on a photo of Prince William and Kate on the royal family’s Instagram account. Kate is “clinging to dear life to Willnot [sic]. His attention is on HRH Meghan,” says another beside a Kensington Palace photo of Kate at a laboratory. “Kate will never be on Meghan’s level, all that lazy consort did was marry a Prince, she don’t know about working, and connecting with others, don’t disrespect Meghan like that,” writes @HRHmegh on Twitter. “Meghan speak so bad and she was fake and she is an actress she know who act. But Kate always is natural,” comments another.
“It is really unbelievable,” says Susan Kelley, who is near the epicentre of the Kate vs. Meghan fan wars because of her two popular royal fashion websites—What Kate Wore, which she started in 2011, and What Meghan Wore, which she co-manages with Susan Courter. “Every time I tell people about it who aren’t in the Kate-Meghan world, they are incredulous.” While the two Susans, as they are known, approve comments before they are posted on the Meghan and Kate sites, “on certain days you can’t go 30 to 60 minutes without checking” Facebook to delete over-the-top comments, Kelley notes.
The reason for the sudden increase in vitriol isn’t hard to find. Seven years after marrying Prince William and being the only leading young female royal, Kate has “competition” in the form of a beautiful American former actress, Meghan Markle, who married Prince Harry in May. William, Kate, Harry and Meghan may be known as the “Fab Four,” but to fans, it’s an either-or choice. The Meghan and Kate acolytes appear to be very young, and accustomed to a social media world that not only condones but seems to encourage anonymous insults. It’s not for nothing that such devotees are known as “stans,” a combination of stalker and fan.
The fans aren’t living in an “and” world but in an “or” one. “Don’t get out of your lane, don’t be coming into my lane,” is how Kelley sees them. “This has been just extraordinarily troubling to me,” she continues. “This is 2018. If this was two men, this would not be happening. I thought we were beyond this…There is something so off, the level of hatred and how intense it is, and the volume.” Perhaps most disturbing for everyone is the level of intolerance, even racism. Not only is Meghan, the daughter of a black mother and white father, the focus of racist attacks, but her fans, in turn, quickly toss the “r” word at perceived Meghan opponents.
Susan Kelley isn’t alone. Everyone reports the same thing—a sudden, disquieting increase in harassing attacks that seem completely over-the-top given the rather sedate royal topics being discussed, including fashion, engagements, living arrangements, protocol and even the state of a curtsy or bow. “I have witnessed what amounts to be roving Twitter gangs that find a tweet/blog post about Meghan and kind of rally the troops and stoke up the fires and suddenly you have a hail storm of abuse flowing at you,” explains Jane Barr, who runs the From Berkshire to Buckingham fashion site, which focuses on Kate. “For me, it is very frustrating to write a nuanced analysis and have people just take a black-and-white interpretation and run wild with it.”
“I think it is indicative of a larger societal problem,” says Barr. “We have an inability to listen to other people, and reason and debate together as a community. The ramifications are obvious for free democratic societies, and very concerning.” In seven years of blogging, Barr has blocked two people for foul language. In the past year, she’s blocked between 15 and 20 for “completely out of control behaviour.”
Royal outrage is complicated by a transatlantic culture clash. Many intense Meghan Markle fans are Americans who don’t understand the monarchy, its place in British society and how there has always been criticism of the family, royal author Victoria Arbiter told the Express. “The American community doesn’t have anything like the royal family so they can only liken them to celebrities or politicians,” she explained. Their lack of knowledge of the intricacies of royal life, protocol and history explains some comments. For instance, they can interpret a photo being posted on a royal feed as a sign of the Queen’s personal approval for Kate or Meghan, their clothes or their behaviour, rather than the work of a member of the royal media department.
“Celebrity rivalries are always conducted by us, the fans, the people who buy the concert or theatre tickets, the records, the merchandise and who send the memes through social media,” contends Ellis Cashmore, a sociology professor at Aston University in England whose book Kardashian Kulture will be published in early 2019. “It helps if there is genuine animosity, but it’s far, far from essential—or even necessary. As long as we think they’re fighting, that’s enough to sustain the feud. We enjoy the feuds so much, we’re tempted to take sides and engage, albeit vicariously. Today, social media has made this easy; so much so that fans can keep the fight going independently of the principals.”
Many stans believe that Meghan and/or Kate don’t like each other and are coming between the close relationship of brothers William and Harry. The reality that the two brothers now have their own families and own priorities doesn’t appear to factor into their online fights. Every new bit of information—Harry and Meghan leaving the tiny two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage around the corner from William and Kate’s London residence for a larger house on the Windsor estate, or reports that they are ending their joint staffing arrangement, established when they were teens—is fought over. To some, the former Meghan Markle is the Yoko Ono of Kensington Palace: “Megan [sic] is the reason for the split between William and Harry,” commented one fan on the royal Instagram feed.
And in the busy autumn season of royal engagements, the war may be at a tipping point. Earlier in 2018, the work schedules of the two popular duchesses didn’t overlap. At the beginning of the year, the focus was on Kate while Meghan slowly dipped her toe into royal engagements. Then, when Kate went on maternity leave in late March, the focus swung back to Meghan, who married Harry in a wedding watched by billions. Kate stayed largely out of the public eye until after Harry and Meghan completed their high-profile tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand.
But now, both royal women are both doing royal work, both based in their London home of Kensington Palace. And that’s setting up an inevitable “showdown” between how the media covers them—who gets top billing, who gets criticized? The palace, no doubt aware that social media is swimming in bile and acid, appears to be trying to mitigate the intense fan reactions. On Nov. 21, both Meghan and Kate were out and about in London, yet their schedules were carefully timed to not conflict with each other. As well, neither event touched on the subject matter of the other, and neither was announced to the public in advance.
In the morning, the Duchess of Sussex went to the Hubb Community Kitchen. Meghan had been making private visits there since January and, with the help of funds raise by a charitable cookbook she helped create, the women are making 200 meals daily for local groups in the area, devastated by the Grenfell Tower fire. A few hours later, Kate arrived at University College London’s developmental neuroscience lab to be briefed on the latest “research into how environment and biology interact to shape the way in which children develop both socially and emotionally.” Coincidently (or not), both wore outfits in shades of burgundy and plum. The preparations paid off. The Express put the two on its front page with the headline “Double duchess: Kate and Meghan’s copy-cat fashions.” For the record, the large photo was of Meghan, the inset of Kate.
The irony is that the Kate and Meghan stans are engaging in behaviour the royal women they profess to adore would find abhorrent. All four of the young royals are committed to raising the profile of mental health issues, including the negative effects of social media. On Nov. 15, William gave a powerful speech about the harmful effects of cyberbullying: “When I worked as an air ambulance pilot or travelled around the country campaigning on mental health, I met families who had suffered the ultimate loss. For too many, social media and messaging was supercharging the age-old problem of bullying, leaving some children to take their own lives when they felt it was unescapable.”
“I am very concerned though that on every challenge they face—fake news, extremism, polarization, hate speech, trolling, mental health, privacy, and bullying—our tech leaders seem to be on the back foot,” William continued before issuing a challenge: “You have powered amazing movements of social change. Surely together you can harness innovation to allow us to fight back against the intolerance and cruelty that has been brought to the surface by your platforms.”
Cashmore doesn’t see the Kate/Meghan social media battle stopping any time soon. “The beauty of our screen society is that, once people get on their phones or laptops, they become a force majeure—nothing and no one can stop them,” he explains. “If they say there’s an argument, then there’s an argument. Meghan and Kate can deny it all they like; it won’t alter a thing!”
There seems little room for neutral observers. Journalists are taking it from all sides. Any criticism—real or imagined—of one duchess is perceived by many fans as an attack, and also favouritism for the other royal woman. In the past year, virtually every full-time royal correspondent in London issued a plea for tolerance on Twitter. After being accused of everything from bias to racism, Richard Palmer of the Daily Express wrote, “We have all faced unpleasant and unfounded accusations of racism towards Meghan.” He pinned a tweet to the top of his account stating that “with the exception of a few I have known for years, I’ve decided I will only now engage with those who share their real identities.” Some journalists are also blocking extreme fans.
And the attacks don’t just stop at those who critique. The fans demand total loyalty. As Richard Palmer commentedon Twitter, “As far as I can see the pitchfork brigade have just regarded anything not 100-per-cent gushing as racist ever since with no evidence.” Susan Kelley has seen the same: it’s not enough to speak the truth, but they many readers accept only “complimentary, laudatory things.”
Netty Leistra, a veteran Netherlands-based royal journalist and blogger, has tried to avoid the Kate vs. Meghan fight, but an online critic called her a racist a few months ago for saying “absolutely nothing special.” For Leistra, the current phenomenon brings back memories of around 15 years ago, when Australian Mary Donaldson married Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark. In the era before Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, she and a few others ran an online forum about the couple. Soon, the anti-Mary folk were battling with the pro-Mary fans. “The bad thing to us was that we tried to be objective, and in the end we were the ones being attacked for not protecting any of the two sides,” she recounts. In the end, they stopped the forum.
Today, no one thinks things will improve any time soon. Both Kate and Meghan are full-time working royals, both gearing up their charitable activities, Kate after her maternity leave, Meghan as she settles into her new royal role. Perhaps a break will come when Meghan gives birth in the spring and steps away from the public spotlight to concentrate on being a mother. Meanwhile, royal watchers who want to engage in polite conversations and debates are trying to block the more extreme commenters, and hoping tempers will cool—or interest will die down.

"I, Tonya" and fandom
“I thought being famous was going to be fun. I was loved, for a minute. Then I was hated, and I was just a punch line. It was like being abused all over, again. Only this time, it was by you. All you. You’re all my attackers, too.” - Tonya Harding; I, Tonya (2017)
"I, Tonya" was an awesome film. I really found it an interesting meditation on fame, notions of truth and the media. One of the parts that really struck me since seeing the film was when 'Tonya' addresses you, the audience member, looking you right in the eye, and says the quote above. In this case it's about the media catering to public desire to blame and shame, a culture which she accuses us of being complicit in. Even though I was only a kid when the Harding-Kerrigan incident made headlines worldwide, I remember the strong feeling around it here, how much she was hated on by people who weren't even that interested in ice skating.
It's a phenomenon now amplified significantly online, across all major social media platforms, with the immediacy of our contact with celebrities, the endless grind of the 24 hour news cycle. When 'Tonya' looked me in the face and said that I, as a consumer of media, was her attacker too, I couldn't help wondering at my own behaviour. Am I also culpable in this blame and shame culture? Even though I've never preoccupied myself with actively hating on anyone or anything online? Well, sadly, yes. Every time I click on an article with an inflammatory clickbait headline. Every time I read a bit of celeb gossip online, or a shitty daily fail article. I'm feeding into that culture, tacitly supporting it.
Oddly enough, my thoughts were drawn to fandom, especially Martin's comments about *that* ship and its fans. What he said was nothing new. He's denounced the shitty obsessive shipper part of the fandom before, and has more than adequate justification (that whole thing about death threats made against his now ex-partner and family, which I can verify, having witnessed one such threat made on here) for viewing that portion of the fandom with anger and contempt. He's also said that he doesn't see S+J as lovers before, a few times. Yet I'm seeing people get outraged at Martin for these comments, twist his words into something more favourable and palatable to their interests, or blame the journalist for misquoting him. 'Not all fans', I'm seeing people say. How dare he tar us fans all with the same 'crazy fan' brush, when it's apparently *just* a minority who behave like this? How dare he be so ungrateful, to say this about *us*, the fans who've made him famous! (There's a whole diatribe here I could go into about whether he even wants the fame, or his considerable level of fame before the show, but that's beside the point). What does it say, though, when one of the more 'pro-fandom' actors in the cast remarks that he doesn't want to do the show anymore because of *that* shitty portion of the fanbase turning him off? It says that there was enough of a problem present in the fandom as a whole, a culture within that was at best indifferent, and at worst tactily approving of this shitty behaviour.
One thing I've never seen the fandom do is to take a long, hard look at itself, despite criticisms from all quarters, and especially by others on Tumblr, many of whom were ex-fans who'd jumped ship. I've seen my fair share of J*hnlock shippers be like, 'well, I'm not doing the bullying and harassment and making threats, it's X group, or Y group doing it, and they're the 'crazy' ones. I'm just here ficcing or arting my ship quietly minding my own business tbh. I don't condone that behaviour at all, but eh, what can I do?' While I saw a few fans actively speak out against the bullying and doxxing within and outside the fandom towards the actors and tptb, there clearly wasn't enough of a collective effort to stop the more outlandish portions of fandom doing their thing. Even me, a self-confessed lurker. I'd seen a whole lot of shit go down over the years of my lurking, mutuals getting doxxed and ending up in hospital, lists of fic writers labelled pedophiles and rape apologists get circulated around, people being videoed without their consent telling their stories of abuse, and didn't say anything. I can't stand Moftiss myself, and ik they've provided their share of shitty stereotyped, sexist/misogynistic generalisations and derision about fans, as have the actors at various points. These comments warrant scathing criticism, definitely. But they didn't deserve harassment and threats in return, I'm never going to stand for that. Still, I didn't say anything, or do anything. I was too scared to cop the doxxing, to rock the boat and cop shit. Maybe, just maybe I should've said something. Talked with the many others who shared the same concerns. Gathered up a collective to buck against these extremist elements in the fandom. Maybe things would have been different if the parts of the fandom against the bullying and harassment sought to try stamping it out, helping support the people who were targets of it. Making them feel valued and appreciated in the fandom, whether they shipped S+J or not.
With the advent of the #metoo movement, as part of the cultural shift, men are being implored to call out their mates and male colleagues for inappropriate jokes and comments, for any behaviour that could be deemed sexual harassment. That as a collective, all men are responsible for eradicating the culture of misogyny. If we, many of us women, are going to call men to account on that front, we, as participants in fandom, need to consider our role and culpability in the cultivation of the fandom culture we share with others, especially with regard to negative behaviour.

WIP Preview
Aria/Tevos
Premise: Aria has assembled a consortium of eventual subsidiaries in response to a lush world within asari space being greenlit for colonization, but she quickly encounters some complications from rival interests vying for the same plots of land. Coincidentally, these same rivals have challenged the asari councilor’s goals for the planet’s future, and the pair reach a mutually beneficial arrangement in countermeasure. But even when their business concludes, Aria can't stop thinking about her. Once the obsession becomes mutual, the pair are left to wonder whether it was all just another Nevos mirage - a temporary escapist fantasy in paradise - or something with longevity.
Effectively replaces the story Confidentiality. This preview is still pretty rough, skeletal, and lacking ambient detail, but it’s just to give an idea about what the story is. Also, a cameo of Parem Igrahal, but here she’s young, around 30. The most notable features of this story are the fact that Aria and Tevos are never antagonistic to each other, Liselle is a year or two younger than she was in Confidentiality, and Tevos’s character is less self-critical, but still as cautious.
I.
There was an indulgent sense of tradition in meeting on a lush world to apportion another. The matriarchy had spent the last few years echoing the potential of Ryasus, their precious emerald glistening under the mists of interminable waterfalls and giant dew-heavy aroids. In the right hands, they said, Ryasus would become a second Nevos within half a century. Its exotic vistas would attract renowned filmmakers, mountain peaks penetrating the canopies would stroke egos of business executives opening new branches, and tourists wading into the shallow crystalline oceans would rather lose themselves than turn back to shore.
Aria’s judgement of the generous optimism was it being a bit out of proportion. She only agreed with their rhetoric insofar as expansion onto that beautiful, yet undefiled planet was discussed as a symptom of corporate success, and therefore encouraged. Beyond this, all the commotion had simply inspired too many interested parties to flock to petition the asari government for permits. In consequence, the competition had considerably grown. It seemed as though every household name company in the galaxy was vying for the largest chunk of untamed tropical splendor they could get their hands on.
The elevator Aria and her two bodyguards stepped into was a cuboidal space, strictly glass on every side save for the floor and the wall attached to the lifting mechanism that sent it crawling up the spine of the tower hugging the cliffside. It was commodious enough to transport a dozen individuals comfortably, and was furnished with a square arrangement of low sofas and palmed plants in each corner.
Aria led her guards to the furthermost window. While they faced the room, Aria stood gazing out at the river-cloven forests of Nevos, to where its green was engulfed by hazy gold at the horizon. She could see one wing of the building curving along with the cliff at her left; countless glinting windows on stratified white.
She could also faintly see reflected in the glass the overwhelmingly asari population periodically entering and exiting during their ascent. Tourists and businesspeople alike. But upon noticing the surly batarian and asari accompanying Aria’s mysterious figure, they would fixate on the identity of their charge. Aria’s civilian apparel, however expensive and expertly tailored, kept them guessing. None could divorce her from the powerful iconography she had established, and none dared approach her for a better look.
After a few minutes, Aria saw a few matriarchs superimpose themselves on the idyllic scenery. They were looking at her, saying nothing aloud for fear of being overheard, but Aria could tell they recognized her. She fitted her hands on her hips, content to ignore them.
Aria was not enchanted by their dreams of paradise. She dreamed not of velvety flowers and beaches, but of rich, dark soil. She dreamed of fragrant batarian tobacco fields stretching on for endless kilometers, to be one day rolled into a new brand of luxury cigars with whom she would partner.
II.
“So, Aria.” Parem rested her cigar against her plate and folded her hands together on the table. “Be honest with me. Do you really think our people are going to be able to woo the matriarch panel?”
Aria exhaled irately. “They’d damn well better.”
“The girl Senaya doesn’t have the stomach for tobacco. She takes no interest in it. And [X] is afraid of his wife. Afraid of her!”
“I know.”
“[Y]’s going to have his partnership within several years when he expires,” said the batarian woman. “Is that really who we want to work with? Maybe we should do something.”
“We can fire her and keep her from taking administrative actions, but we can’t take away her partnership. We’d have to buy her out of it, and that’s only if she’s willing to sell.”
“Don’t we have a more... traditional option of solving this problem?”
Aria subtly shook her head. “It’s not that easy here. The Republics are liable to investigate something like that. And how much effort are we willing to put in to keep it looking clean?”
“Getting rid of her may be worth any cost. You’ll see, Aria, once she’s rotting us from the inside.”
[...]
“I’ve been receiving requests from suitors,” said Parem.
“Anyone you like?”
“None. I hate looking at their faces. They only remind me of people like that salarian who would surrender his life work to the woman he doesn’t even sleep with. I keep wondering, what if I mistakenly choose an insect like him? It will be a colossal waste of my time. I can have sex with as many strong and beautiful men as I want without having to marry them. They only thing they have ever offered me that I cannot obtain myself is children, and still, I do not need to be married for that.”
“Well, I think you’ve got the right idea about things. You seem sure of what you want.” She crossed her legs beneath the table. Nearby, their personal security dealt another hand of cards.
Parem slowly nodded. Then a curiosity struck her, but it was charged with dissatisfaction when she asked, “I know you usually prefer the company of women, but have you ever slept with a batarian man, Aria?”
“Are we that familiar now?”
“Humor me, please.”
Aria turned away to face the other tables arranged across the balcony, her expression neutral and unchanging as she considered her answer. There was a wind chime mounted above the door leading back into the warmly-lit restaurant, softly ringing. “I might have.”
“They’re selfish. Greedy. They touch you like they touch a marinated roast.”
Aria’s shoulders shook with soundless amusement. With a lingering smile, she replied, “Then I guess I’m lucky,” and lowered a hand to roll the cigar’s head of ashes against the side of her plate.
III.
“I’m afraid you’re occupying my seat.”
The crispness of the northern Thessian accent, along with its mindful elocution and lack of hostility despite the declared grievance, nearly annoyed Aria. She neglected to afford the stranger so much as a glance, and instead dismissed her with a flat, “Move along.”
“I need to ask you to relocate.”
The persistence riled her. “And who the hell is asking?" When Aria at last regarded her harasser in contempt, she found a face embellished by stark white tattoos and austere cheekbones only made amiable by the serene set of her eyes. She was carrying a portfolio.
“Well, would it impress upon your opinion at all to know the asari councilor is asking?”
Aria settled on a passing insult before turning back to the stage where the panel was assembling. “I think Idras would turn over in her grave if she knew about the state of her office.”
“Idras would have never granted someone like you a visa,” said the councilor. “I see you’ve made good use of the referendum I introduced.”
“Yet I still can’t own land.”
“A necessary compromise.” Accepting the fact that Aria was as immovable as a ton of stone, she sat down with a single seat between them. “Asari space is the collective inheritance of our people, and all of asari descent should have easier access to our homeworlds regardless of citizenship. At the collateral expense of inviting people like yourself - I believe only due to your high profile mitigating your risk factor - I think we’ve done a great thing. But you raise an interesting point. Coincidentally, your landowning ability has been the topic of multiple conversations this morning.”
For a time, Aria said nothing.
The councilor continued, “The matriarchs are trying to figure out which jockeys you’ve bet on, so to speak.”
“And I’m supposed to thank you and tell you what I’m doing?” She scoffed.
“I don’t expect you to. I’m only sharing what I’ve heard.”
“Trying to make friends?”
“Avoiding making enemies, rather.”
[...]
Tevos analyzed the region Aria highlighted in the face of her datapad. “Unfortunately,” she said, “there are multiple groups interested in that area. Most notably, a mining corporation. Preliminary surveys have documented a large deposit of palladium less than a kilometer beneath the surface. Despite the inevitable environmental damages, extracting the ore is tempting to the panel because of the tax revenue it would generate.”
“Shit,” Aria hissed. “Are you serious? We’re not already out of the race, are we?”
“It appears to be the case. They’re a behemoth. They will easily eclipse any smaller outfit by name alone. If I were you I would advise my associates to prioritize other plots of land.”
“I can’t fucking believe this... We’re interested in that area specifically for its soil quality. There’s nothing else like it on that world - it’s an integral part of our branding and if we can’t get that land, we’re dead in the water.”
“If it’s any consolation, most of the matriarchy are also displeased about the probable outcome. They wanted to keep the planet pristine for tourism and ecological studies. The way this is headed, another Nevos isn’t looking very likely.”
Aria lifted a hand to rub at her temples. While she had made a point of staying for the land petitions, she had only done so as a formality in good faith for Parem’s cousin. Actually needing to take initiative to solve a problem of this scope would delay her departure by at least two or three days, and with a baby at home and her station led by her eccentric lieutenants, it was not an ideal outcome.
IV.
[In a smaller auction house in the larger building]
After placing her exorbitant bid in the console beneath the twisting marble sculpture, Aria turned to find amused incredulity dashed across the councilor’s features. Her arms were folded across her middle and a hand concealed part of the lower half of her face, as if to hide her expression.
“Do you even have a use for it?” Tevos asked her.
“Maybe I’m just an avid patron.”
She shook her head at her, glancing back to the sculpture.
“I'm going to take you to dinner,” Aria said. “Belaisa at seven.”
Despite her supreme confidence, the moment Tevos seemed to process the offer, the jovial climate between them soured and became grim.
“Aria, I appreciate the offer, but - ”
“But?”
“I don’t think it would be appropriate.”
Aria was not yet discouraged. “Then I’ll send over a bottle of something to your room. Tell me where you’re staying.”
“I’m not giving you my room number,” Tevos replied. A vein of humor was present in her tone, but it was overshadowed by remorse. “Listen to me for a moment. The matriarchy expressed their... concerns about me speaking with you.”
“I’m sure they understand that you’re entitled to your own personal decisions.”
“Yes, but, even if our interactions are innocuous, it’s not good publicity if people start taking notice. I’m a councilor, Aria. Professionalism always comes before my personal desires. And what we did at the petition toed the line enough; although the matriarchy is pleased, they want no more of it. No more of... you. Especially if it can be avoided. You’re watched, you realize. We watch everyone in the galaxy of note, and you in particular make them very nervous.”
“And they should be nervous,” Aria asserted. “But not about what you do.”
They were quiet for a time. Aria hoped they had kept their volume low enough to not be overheard by both their personal security, who they had left at the entrance of the auction gallery, always within sight.
Tevos reached into her coat’s interior pocket to produce a small paper notepad and attached pen. She wrote something down, presented it to Aria, and said barely above a whisper, “I'd like you to call me tonight.”
She accepted the paper and gleaned what it contained: a long string of characters Aria recognized as the access to a well-encrypted line. But before Aria could lift her gaze and provocatively compliment her decision, Tevos spoke again in warning.
“If you ask why, I may suddenly regain my senses and reconsider.” She stepped away from her once, then altogether as she retreated toward the exit, only delaying to say, “Goodnight,” over her shoulder.

The Best Friend Personality broken down by a Best Friend Personality: A Shallow Portrayal of a Deep Character
Ok so I have honestly had enough of people talking shit about this so I'm going to explain it better than the games and shows can. So this isn't a new thing for me. I am used to getting the characters I love and relate to shat on for how they are portrayed in media. It's been long going on ever since I started getting involved with fandoms and I always wondered why this was. I realized that after some time that it might be that many people can't see these characters in the perspective that I can. Also because these characters are often short lived in a plotline or are just never actually developed like they should. However, I didn't blame anyone until people (fans) started changing this personality into something completely different or overlooking this deep personality completely. This is brought up a final straw with 2 recent characters getting more backlash than I have ever seen this personality ever get. Lance McClain from Voltron and Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona 5. This post isn't about bashing people who dislike the characters. It's about getting to understand them which I can clearly see people aren't getting from the get go of their introduction. I'm doing this because their life and experiences are extremely similar to how I feel and live in my own life and to see these two be bashed for some of the deepest portrayal I have seen of this type hurts me greatly. I often hear and see people write that they are annoying, boring, selfish, egotistical, or even downright mean to others. This lack of understanding hurts me because I realize that I myself in society might be seen this way or this wide idea will spread into a live issue. I've also noticed that boys are really the only ones that get these traits. I am not sure why but I would love to see girls with these problems and see if this outcome would be different. (I could argue that Chloe Price falls into this but the position of what I speak of is dominated by Warren Graham) This character type is a best friend to the rest of the team or the protagonist and is often the wingman or the go to guy for everything. They don't necessarily all have the same personality but they all have a key features that make them fit into this position. It seems that these key features however are the things that get judged and, for me, I cannot quite see why. First impressions mean everything. These characters are often brought into a story immediately down on their luck AT ALL TIMES. I can give you some examples of this from characters that are this type: Lance is in a simulator that he ends up crashing and is scolded by Iverson and it is brought up that he isn't cut out to be a pilot along with all of the students pointing out his flaws blatantly, Ryuji Sakamoto is late for school with the protagonist in the rain and not only that he is the crap of the school before the protagonist comes along. He is held responsible for destroying the track team and believed to be a delinquent afterwards, Yosuke Hanamura literally rides his bike into a trash can and needs the protagonist to help him out and later he gets his ass kicked by Chie for breaking her DVD and gets his date turned down by Yukiko, Armin Arlert is being beaten up by a group of bullies and takes the beating not making an effort to fight back until Eren and Mikasa come to save him, Alistair Theirin is back and forth being harassed and harassing Mages and all around not really wanting to be in the camp, etc. You know the character I'm talking about. Now I get more into their backstory. Most of them are happy-go-lucky fun loving people on the outside but have some inner turmoil. It is a broken record of they never feel good enough and they never feel loved. It doesn't quite always start out that way when you meet them, they are often full of confidence no matter what is going on. However this changes when they realize that they make friends with people they aspire to be. They are jealous but they are happy they have friends that are great people. It is a mixed confusion that they will have and it is often haphazardly patched up with something like one occurrence or a line. This is not true to real life and honestly it is something that they will continue to feel no matter how early or late it is "fixed". There is also a possibility of it becoming a problem again if they aren't supported. These characters usually have something going on at home or personally that they don't make public to others easily. Some examples are: Lance misses his home where he got his support and many people on his team fail to realize that he really is the only one that gets criticized on a day to day basis, Junpei Iori has an alcoholic father and doesn't want to be around him much like Ryuji Sakamoto where his father would end up beating him and his mother (Ryuji is honestly a character I relate to the closest to out of many since me and my mother were victims of domestic violence and his actions and thoughts reflect a lot of what I have done and think about), Prompto Argentum feels extremely basic compared to his friends who grew up in noble and royal households which is then worsened when he finds out more about his past which I will spare those who still haven't played. These experiences and constant reminders that they will never be good enough by anyone especially by someone extremely influential in their life makes them believe that it is true and will see it everywhere. This is honestly a lasting impression because this started out when they were children and they were held to standards and are yelled and screamed at when they don't make it there. They have no comfort going anywhere because they usually get it at home and they get it with friends. Now this may not be on purpose but as someone who relates it is an extremely impressionable word or dare I say trigger that often will bring back the source of where this fear originated from. One thing I have noticed about all of them and myself is that we are snappers. We don't mean to snap at people but when you hear something over and over or they bring up something you don't want to talk about you get fed up with it. This is honestly what drives people away and it hurts because seeing people want to leave is nothing at all what we want. Expressing our feelings easily is not something we can do so we avoid it as much as possible resulting in what we hate the most. I can see this is where the mean and maybe selfish comes from. We are angered by seeing things happen to others and will take it on because it means something personal. When someone compliments us or says we did a good job we are deeply touched. None of that "for an idiot" crap because that is still holding the standard that we still are nothing and cannot progress past that trope. When we hear something genuine and invested we want to emphasize it because we did good and maybe people will see us better but people see this as: "Wow they are so full of themselves. Ok you did a good thing you don't have to rub it in my face or anything. So annoying." Because people don't make an effort to understand us or the characters they see it this way almost always. After being told so much that we suck and will never do good things when it happens and we say we are happy about it people crush it as "not a big deal". It is to us. It's a big deal when they say you're no good all the time. We will close ourselves off or brush it off with haha joke if this happens. No one will really genuinely be interested or celebrate it with us. I relate with these characters in an extremely personal level and understand them a lot better than most people do for how they are written. People will often warp this into a bad boy or crazy personality that honestly doesn't exist which not only makes me confused on why but it hurts to see this character be ripped up and made into something they're not. It is extremely depressing to see a character that I relate so much to destroyed by a fandom who doesn't understand them properly. But- I can easily see this character type influenced though. It stems from someone giving them what they want to hear and they can be manipulated. THEY MAY EVEN KNOW THEY'RE BEING MANIPULATED but it feels so good to finally hear what has been denied for so long. This isn't done with this type often though. This is why I am such a fan of dark Lance just being manipulated by the Galra because it could give a depth that is missing from characters like him. With an arc like this you get into more of what they desire and what is missing in their lives and how much they want to be seen as more than they are made out to be. Despite their detailed problems they really only want love and to be told that they matter and that they are important. It is an extremely easy solution that is almost never addressed in any game, show or media. The whole "Lance is being shoved down my throat" and this whole that isn't Lance I'm tired of! This "Ryuji is so mean to Morgana" (Morgana I low-key hate because Morgana is just fueling the fire by calling Ryuji dumb and an idiot in every other sentence and not one person has spoken ill of this fact) and "he's just and idiot" IM TIRED OF! People change them so much and make them out to be these righteous and self absorbed people who are rude IM TIRED OF! These characters cannot say anything or do anything to change what people see them as nor had I until now. I want people to understand that this is not the character you make them out to be. There are so many reasons behind the things that they do. They aren't dumb They just think differently. They aren't full of themselves they just want to prove they aren't worthless. Being someone who cannot even get a character that I can relate to who is cared for properly hurts because this is a problem I have seen over and over again. This is never fixed and if I don't explain it these characters will forever be underestimated and made into something they aren't. I want to work to a complete character. Not this consistent trope of the dumb hasty best friend. I want them to be loved and recognized for who they are, for what they struggle with, for how they think, and what they are looking for to complete their life. I'm sorry but it had to be said. I want this because I see myself and to see them hate what my life is. I cannot take it anymore. I hope that you take time to understand and invest more into them. To not see them as shallow or bland. Thanks for reading.

A Final Word About the Log Off Protest
So for the past week, I’ve been participating in the third stage of the log off protest. According to the organiser, the protest apparently made Verizon’s stock drop again to a level that we saw following the first protest.
Once again, the protest wasn’t just about the NSFW ban or anything else that resulted from it. This article lists all the things that happened since the Tumblr app was first taken off the Apple App Store. Some new controversial features were introduced over the past week (as if it wasn’t coincidental enough), such as a “facelift” and a topical “group chat”. In addition to this, a “100 paragraph limit” was brought to light, although this was fake news because it only applied to the app and not on the actual website.
If you don’t like the new blue, then Xkit has an extension that will allow you to change it back. Honestly though, I do find the colour a bit jarring on my desktop or on the app, but I don’t see that much of a difference on my laptop when I have it on low brightness (which I usually do).
During the week, there were a couple of times when I accidentally found myself on Tumblr, though I made sure to leave quickly. The organisers have decided to end the protest here, though I would have stopped participating at this point anyway even if they continued. I probably couldn’t bear staying off Tumblr for longer even with my casual attitude of checking things every now and again.
I understand that there are some fans who have decided to completely log off or delete their accounts as a result of these events. It will be sad to lose you if you are one of those people, though you can still find me on Facebook.
In the aftermath thoughts post I did following the first log off protest, I used the first half of a section from the Tana Mongeau Content Cop to make a point about how all posts with “female-presenting nipples” should be allowed or not allowed, without making exceptions for any reason. I didn’t write anything based on the second half because I wasn’t sure how to word it, however, I feel that I have an idea how to do that now, so here it is.
Like I said in that post, children will stumble on “female-presenting nipples” at some point as they grow up, whether real, drawn or animated. You can decide not to see them if you want (by not watching porn, for one), but chances are that you will see them, one way or another. Even if you’re a male and you’ve never seen a female nipple before, you can have an image in your head of what they look like because you can’t necessarily tell them apart. As such, we become more and more desensitised to nipples as we keep seeing them, to the point where looking at a nipple (or a breast, for that matter) basically means nothing because it doesn’t have the same allure it had when we first saw them. So by highlighting “female-presenting nipples” as something evil while making exceptions for what is allowed to be posted, Tumblr has given “female-presenting nipples” the power that they so desperately want it to not have.
According to people on the #logoffprotest and #phasethree2019 hashtags on Twitter, Tumblr has been deleting reviews on their app store pages to keep their ratings up. I’ve also heard that people’s Tumblrs have been shadowbanned or in rare cases, terminated as a result of these events or the protest (though I have no solid confirmation as to whether this is the case or not). Tumblr has always been lax when it comes to enforcing their rules, which is the reason why Nazi blogs and child porn blogs are finding ways around this so they can continue. This leads some people into a situation where they think they can call Tumblr’s bluff by talking shit about them on Tumblr only to have their accounts deleted because they can’t take criticism. To adapt a little quote from the end of the Keemstar Content Cop (which I also used to respond to a certain hater of mine a couple of years back), “Oh, you’ll ruin our careers, Tumblr? Good fucking luck. You’re not gonna ruin our careers because we’ve shown you why you’re not gonna ruin our careers.” I don’t want to tempt fate, but this is honestly becoming a dare at this point. Koei Tecmo or any other Japanese game company never stooped to that level when they were faced with #NoDubNoBuy or criticism regarding the omission of English voices from their localised games.
In September and October last year, an event called the “National Fuel Strike” was started on Facebook in response to the rising fuel prices in Australia. I denounced it as the equivalent of #NoDubNoBuy because the government doesn’t care about it and even if they did, the same thing would happen years later. I didn’t want to compare the log off protest to #NoDubNoBuy, but at this point, it might as well be.
The organisers have also been harassed by opinion-neutrals and trolls who are seemingly in support of Tumblr’s decision. If Tumblr hasn’t pissed you off already and you’re still in support of them, then you might as well kill yourself because you can’t respect our opinions or know what it’s like to be in our position (much as I hate to say it now).
For a website who is known for being left-leaning and also claims to empower marginalised demographics such as women and the LGBT community, they are surprisingly accepting of far-right groups, although this can really be chalked down to Tumblr’s apathy. I haven’t had any Nazi blogs follow me, although like porn blogs and porn bots, they will be blocked if they do.
Like I said before, there is pretty much no way that Tumblr can reverse the damage they did at this point because it’s already been done. All they can really do is keep driving it into the ground and either not make any progress or cause their own downfall.
When the NSFW ban was first announced, people found their posts being flagged and there was no way to see all of them on one simple page. Luckily, however, they did so at the start of last month, which was why I was able to appeal the erroneously flagged posts on the Waifu Network.
I’m not going to delete my Tumblr or switch platforms because I have no interest in them and it will be hard to regain whatever following I have. The Ecchi Waifu Network will remain as it is and the main Waifu Network will resume posting soon. If it does become necessary for me to switch however, you will hear about it on Facebook. I will keep on using Tumblr because I only think of it as a way to simulcast my anime posts and post things that are too long for Facebook. My ranting days are already over with the end of the Dub Logistics series, so now I’m just posting things I find interesting as a way to maintain the positivity on here.
This is going to be the last time that I’ll be talking about the log off protest, the NSFW ban or anything else related to them. As with many others here, we implore Tumblr to do the right thing and at least do something about the Nazis, pedophiles and porn bots instead of silencing people who truly care and have something to say about it. Even then, Tumblr is no better than Koei Tecmo at this point - in fact, I would have to say that they are worse, because they have been ignoring their fans and silencing them while also flexing on them with posts that are meant to distract people from the real problems. If my Tumblr gets deleted because of this post, then it proves everything that I and many others have said about this.

Dual Boss: SSSN Neptune Vasillas + Tex-ism (AKA Epislon Beta)
http://sssn-neptune-vasilias.tumblr.com/post/160501704288/tex-isms-sokumotanaka-tex-isms#notes
I must be insane to tackle both a terrorist and the woman who called me an abuser and a pedophile while trying to frame me for suicide at the same time.
But a few hours stuck on a Metal Gear Rising boss while rocking out to a One Punch Man X Revengence remix will do that to a guy so let’s tackle these sons of bitches.
I already tackled the Original here so here’s a link to that whole shibang:
https://knightofbalance-13.tumblr.com/post/160497412445/nope
And now let’s take a look at Tex-isms AKA epislon beta
I’ve tried to stay passive over RWDE since I was harassed by anti-RWDErs but since they know my new URL, who the fuck cares.
And this relates to me...how? Any of my followers can attest it has been a long time since we’ve crossed paths seeing as I have not addressed one of your posts in a matter of months. And not everyone who hates rwde is someone I know: A lot of people hate the tag, it was just the norm to ignore it and I thought that wasn’t for me. It’s entirely possible that the people you’ve encountered just got pissy at you, no doubt for trying to imply something about Miles or something, especially if you tried pulling that crap you did with me and Mage where you called us abusers and pedophiles because we dared to say that Miles liking two cosplayers isn’t disgusting.
I would argue it’s still just as vile, it’s just that no one in the RWDE tag pays attention to them anymore. One of them has literally said he will try to report all of us in the RWDE tag and get us taken off of tumblr if we get him reported for block evasion (Which he has admitted to multiple times).
Yeah, I would. Considering all you have on me is block evasion and I have slander, harassment, suicide baiting and terrorism on my side. Which, considering I blocked your Episoln Beta account and you retailated by using your main account, means I literally have the same shit on all of you and more.
And here’s the thing, switch the words around on that statement and you ahve the RWBY fandom’s opinions on rwde. Except the RWBY fandom hasn’t suicide baited anyone. bullied anyone or harassed anyone. So nice try at the pity party.
And honestly? It’s just going to keep getting more and more vile. A certain anti-RWDE guy continues to just get more and more vile, and the moment the fandom kicks back up again after RTX and RWBY5 stuff is leaked, it’s going to go back to the utter hell it was February-April.
So? The same thing is going to happen to all of you as well:You all go back into finding new stuff to label sexist, racist, ableist or whatever and sue to attack everyone in an attempt to control the show for your own agenda.  Except at the end of the day, I can say I stated the facts as they were, I never lied, I never terrorized anyone, I never threatened anyone, I never willfully misinterpreted shit and I was an all around better person. While also criticizing RWBY, showing you have no excuse for your attitude.
It’s stupid and I hate it. I’m incredibly tired of being harassed by people for not having the same opinions of them on a show, and for not being nice and polite and professional in my critiques and complaints.
Here’s the problem and the reason why even if I leave, you will still get these people: You keep trying to pass off your hate as criticism. I mean, look at what you said “ nice and polite and professional in my critiques and complaints. “ And look at the definition of critique ( a method of disciplined, systematic analysis of a written or oral discourse.) your methods contradict your words and thus people rightfully call you out. You want it to stop? Either stop claiming critique or be professional about it. That;s it.
And back to SSSN
See this was why I was happy as soon as they made the tag, cause their gone and so is their harassment and now kkkob can’t bully people for posting (I literally saw him attack a person who doesn’t post rwde often thinking they were new and his greeting was “allow me to welcome you to this shit tag by tearing apart your post.”)
You mean Riprorude? he does post regularly. And even if he didn’t, it was a segway into my critical dissection. Meaning someting that wasn’t menat to be serious to took as such. Good job there.
And really? My criticism is bullying? Then what do you call attacking Miles and harassing him and threatening because he doesn’t do what you want? If I’m a bully, what does that make you?
Over an opinion! Kob never was a rational person who wanted to “bring criticism back” he’s a menace, a racist, a bully, a child and a tyrant who doesn’t like opinions that don’t host his own.
And really Because last time I covered you, you were the racist, bully, child and tyrant who said that if artists don’t put in diversity they derserve to be harassed and attacked. Over an opinion as well and you were speaking for a group who didn’t want you to, actively pushing back equality and basically being a terrorist. Nice try there, bucko.
More legit criticisms, this tag is free again for everyone.
Unless said person doesn’t think jaune is the devil, Sun isn’t being abusive drunken racist, Taiyang was being the worst parent in the show or that miles should be criticized without trying to get him to hang himself. (Hyperbole) If so, then they’re wrong and you must weed them out just as you did before me and you will do afterward.
And back to Tex:
Kob ain’t done bullying people. I’m like not even joking when I say he’s getting worse. It’s just that we’ve all blocked him.
Really? Because I have never threatened you or terrorized you or called you something you weren’t all because I dared to speak up. That’s all on rwde.
and finally SSSN:
Tbh the more people comment on this and my other posts the more I’m realizing that these people aren’t as quiet as I thought they were, they just moved on to attacking other people
Not really, I tackled the likes of Sokumo, RWBYcriticism and you all before and continue to after I was blocked as I am doing now. You just want to make me out to be this tyrant when all I’m doing is calling you out on your shit.
Now I believe thats everything here. I got done sooner tanI though-
!!!!!!
What?

https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/160502695349/tex-isms-sokumotanaka-tex-isms
Oh boy, extra bosses. And It’s getting rather late so my energy tank is almost empty.
Oh well, as Friedric Nietzche once said, “ Everyone who has ever built anywhere a new heaven first found the power thereto in his own hell.” So, I’ll take this challenge!
First, Bluepulser!
Kob/mageknight/whatever literally stalked my non-rwby posts with an alt account for like an entire week until I blocked them again and they noticed they could get banned from the site for block evading.
All ofyour posts huh? Mind proving that with an example of two? No? Then i can point to my history of only talking RWBY topics with you and nothing else as proof you are lying and probably trying to incite hate and get me kicked off. Considering your attack did nothing o me, it failed. Hopelessly.
Now for the king pin himself, Sokumotaka
And you know what? Let him. It’ll just keep piling up and he’ll continue to make an ass out of himself then we’ll have all this evidence against him.
People who think we’re overreacting will take one look at his blog and avoid him like the plague, he’ll slip up and we’ll be here living our lives in peace.
Heh, this gives me hope. Not in the words themselves seeing as this guy suicide baited me and tried to slander the crtq tag because I dared to try to move on and make a place where people can choose to be professional about stuff, But that rwde isn’t as bad as I thought seeing as I said something similar (minus the evidence part because he alone is proof). Although he could just be blind to how terrible he’s acting and I’m childishly thinking that the possibility of an absolute wrong is impossible. Still doesn’t do anything for his hypocrisy and blindness to himself.
Wow, that took shorter than I expected. But I tackled 4 of the big rwde posters. Guess I-
!!!!!
Again?
https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/tex-isms/160503489928
https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/160503815014/pageoflore-sokumotanaka-tex-isms
https://sokumotanaka.tumblr.com/post/160503690944/tex-isms-sokumotanaka-tex-isms
Welp, I am really pushing it now. But surpassing my limits is what is needed for me to make my point so let’s battle!
Tex-ism, Final round!
The unfortunate part is, this is very localized to the RWDE tag, and there’s only two groups i nthat tag: People who know about kob and are harassed by him, and people who don’t care and agree w/ how he treats us
Well, maybe if you hadn’t sunk all of your reputations attacking everyone, lying about so much and playing the victim card, people might listen. But even at my worst, you people still deserve it.
Sokumo and pageoflore huh? Let’s go fuckers!
This is KOB’s tone in every single post they make, tbh. Like regardless of intent arguing with them is like beating your head against an extremely dense brick wall. “Rational” and “unbiased” aren’t really words I would use for them.
And rational and unbiased,  considering you laugh off everything I say with “lol salty fanboy” or memes isn’t something I call you either. Especially since I have been reasoned with in the past, you people are just constant failures at this.
And now you, my archnemsis Sokumotaka
Exactly, getting mad at him won’t solve anything especially now, he’s out of our hair for the time being and he’ll get his.
Sorry but it’s too late for that. I’m already here and shown that you have posted hate around me. So how long you wanna beat you terrorize me or threaten me? Because considering Epsilon Beta and Dudeblade, it won’t be long.
And I’ll answer for what I do but the problem here is that I’m not doing anything bad and you all keep pulling some bullshit out of your pants to throw at me, trying to drive me away. Guess what? I faced all of you here and now and won so I think that's a testament to how much it’ll take to beat me.
And that’s a large amount of people, and as rwby possibility grows and such people will learn and people who don’t go to rwde will steal see these and avoid him.
I already have many people whom visited his tag yet never dealt with rwby who think he’s a nuisance. It’ll just keep growing too.
And I have a large number of people who have seen my stuff and agree with me as well, funny thing about followers huh? Especially since you can feed them all the lies, cut off screen shots, manipulated facts and shit all you want and no one will call you out on it as well, especially since tehy never delanwith RWBY and thus don’t know better. Convientant huh?
This is Knight Of Balance, It’s 12:10 Am. I have been up for sixteen hours, cleaned my house, wiped up cat pee three times, been yelled at twice and stuck on a boss for an hour. And I just went through my first boss rush and won
Good Night,

Different topics: Self reflection, Pro WWE Stans, and Backlash of the XXXtentacion Joke
Blog
I am back for another blog. I keep thinking it will be the end, but due to not being able to jot down my personal thoughts I have had the need to at least put my mind frame out there so people can see where my mind is going. I am going to focus on certain things, I mean there will still be self loathing and self reflection with a mixture of other things on my mind because sometimes, as limited as my verbiage can be due to being a fucking scattered brain nut who can’t organize the thoughts in his head in a precise manner, and can’t figure out where my mind has been over the course of the last decade and that is the unfortunate thing about someone who followed the lead on how to think because I never knew how to think for myself, and I have fell for ignorant point of views or limited point of views and it has never left me satisfied.
Over the course of the last few years I have moved towards being more of a leftist person. I used to not be empathic or sympathetic towards others because I thought nihilism is such a cool and edgy thing for most of my existence, when being a nice person did not make me stand out and made people dislike me for being too much of a square, not realizing I was buying into a normalized right wing and centrist mentality because of the people who had platforms, who would be woke about certain behaviors and on certain issues, and it feels like with all the shit I have been through, trying to interview different people on my periscope sessions, and even talking to people with ignorant views, to see a better way, even if they seem like a Trump supporter, who still have minorities as friends etc, and I feel it is a challenge, because my mind is weak and it feels like if I am not embraced by leftist leaning people, who never really say anything when I am dealing with harassment, it seems more people who come across as peaceful centrists or right wings that they are embracing me, like “Look our side is embracing you, those leftists don’t care about you” and I feel like a certain point I might buckle, because I am a weak minded person, and I have always conformed with who I was around with the outlook, so I constantly deal with this harassment the more I try to put out a more peaceful message.
I am vehemently attacked for having a different outlook on groups fighting against oppression so the right wing government agents trolling me, are trying to paint me as a terrorist sympathizer, while they are the ones siding with the real systemic terror that is taking place. I am accused of hating all white people, when I have pointed out how people are buying into a systemic white supremacy and it is a big no-no. The people, who are supposed free speech advocates, are not for me expressing how people who think they are being edgy are not really being edgy. I have been blackballed from even being able to have a career when I have contributed many ideas that have been taken from me, and the specifics have never made me point it out, just the fact that I contributed.  Maybe that was  Stern Show tactic I fell for, because Stern was a huge influence to me and I always wanted to impress him, so when he would make fun of Stuttering John for keeping tabs on what joke he wrote and would have all sorts of papers he made light of that, and that is when I decided never to keep tab of what ideas and jokes were used by multiple people. The propaganda is so real, even if I explain my narrative, they will just say I was a crazy caller and nothing more, and then they will hint that I helped Stern make millions and I am owed money, and they will deny it is my incapability of finding a job and never disclose that they are keeping me censored. They fuck with my views and pump them up when it is convenient, to show these views on periscope, especially are not genuine. They constantly try to peace talk with me, and not disclose their views are leaning toward the right, so I don’t immediately shoo them away.
This is where it ties into wrestling because they love when I lose my mind. I have spoken out about WWE’s practices, and how I don’t like who runs the company etc, I still appreciate the people who work there and entertain the fans, but even rubbing it in my face I won’t be a part of the Summer festivities in Toronto is meant to make me lose my mind because I lost my mind when Mania festivities took place. Sometimes I wonder if this is all worth it, over the last few months I have not cared about pop culture news or television shows/movies etc to catch up on anything. Maybe I should not care, but it is literally everything we consume is run by some sort of evil. I am sure this computer I am typing on was probably put together by some sweatshop worker or something. It feels like the easiest mind frame to have does just not want to be here because I try to be socially conscious, but I am still using shit that is tied to evil shit, whether it is a tablet, or consuming from some fast food place or something. I lose my fucking mind and the possibility that people I know are also involved with shady things, even though I don’t fucking know, it fucks with me. \
So the wrestling stuff has really taken its toll because even though I believe a lot of the stuff outside the ring, even stuff involving media outlets is also like wrestling, maybe I am buying into it but ever since the introduction of AEW, which does have shadiness with its owners as well, to be fair, it seems like the pro WWE contingent have attack others like they are socially conscious, while never copping to the fact they might be taking WWE money to shill for them online, and because they call out Saudi Arabia, or calling out Hulk Hogan, they think they are doing their due diligence of being socially conscious, and will constantly show off WWE hiring minorities as the most socially conscious shit ever, while it is performative at its best. They accuse others of not keeping the same energy while also not keeping the same energy. Their points towards other companies and people are valid, but the fact they are acting like these new hip people and they are siding with WWE, it supposed to be this manufactured talk about race misogyny etc, while they are supporting the company who have systemically caused a lot of this shit as well. So when there are accounts dedicated to mocking Dave Meltzer, who I don’t agree with by the way on a lot of shit, and I have called him out as well, but since he is has been more on AEW side the harassment has taken another level, under the guise of criticism of his reports etc, there have been attacks on his family and his kids, and when he finally puts on his own board the name of the person doing it, which anyone can see, he is accused of doxing even though it was his first name. I wouldn’t have done it since it said in their terms that no one would do that, but these same shit disturbers are acting like the biggest victims, so much so that he put out the name himself on his own twitter, totally normal for someone to do when they fear their name is out there.
These same dudes who are performative about the outrage were the same ones attacking other people who don’t believe a company with shoddy morality and has had a huge track record of sweeping corruption within their own company under the rug, would actually being capable of exaggerating one of their employees, or independent contractors’ battle with cancer. Now it is genius if this was a lie or some sort of exaggeration because you present a severity of something like cancer, which is horrible to have, so now because people question it, they will have their shills attack anyone questioning it, and if it does end up that this was a lie, it shows how so many of these WWE shills and fan boys and girls, are propping their own experiences and this narrative of “HOW DARE YOU QUESTION THIS, THIS IS NOT A STORYLINE” the same fucking guy who grilled Brian Pillman’s wife on live television after her husband’s death so he could deflect blame on the company, the fact that he may have paid off people to get off Jimmy Snuka off a murder, or the infamous ring boy scandal, or how recently in the affidavit there was reports from Ashley Massaro being raped and it was covered up. “BUT THEY ARE A PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY” Yeah because that has stopped other publicly traded companies from partaking in any shadiness or corruption.
These same people who care about the sanctity of cancer victims, they were the first ones who would pile on me and tell me to go kill myself, someone who has mental illness, and they had to secrecy of hiding their identities even though I know which people they were and I cannot prove it technically but people accusing Meltzer using his fan boys to defend him etc, are the same ones defending WWE and being a stan of a billion dollar company. I could be wrong about the Reigns stuff but everything to me in this system is manufactured in some way or another, whether it is staged or some other cause orchestrating. I don’t have all the facts, and that is true, but since you guys pit me as this guy who is in his mom’s basement and is a fucking loser, why would you be so threatened by some mentally ill asshole right? Obviously I struck a chord with you guys if you are encouraging me to kill myself, and then acting like you are not doing at behest of a billion dollar company, or some popular radio host who can never be called out.
The last thing I will say and I am in a hurry. There seems to be this controversy of XXXtentacion joke by some comedian. I have many thoughts of this. People are outraged because she made a joke about someone, who on his time on earth was not the best human being and did horrible things, so she made a joke that his death of getting killed and robbed would be commercial for why you should get Venmo. The joke was not the greatest, even though I feel she has every right to do that joke, comedians should be allowed to try something out without the fear of getting people to threaten her and dox her. Part of me feels, as much I agree with any comedian being able to try to do their jokes and apply their craft, that there is a contingent of right wing comedians who hide behind free speech etc, but they will censor anyone’s else’s free speech under the guise of getting their fan base to threaten other women, but are for this woman’s joke who mocked XXX’s death. Comedians act like their craft is some pure art and never call out the government agents and undercover law enforcement supporters in their own shit. Only time you see these “edgy” comedians call out someone, is when it is someone being “Too PC’ but never call their own side’s bullshit and act like they are the fighters of free speech, while still being prostituted by the right wing side, which has always had a part in the comedy world. Ill see supposed conspiracy theorist comedians, who will put out shit as fact, and I have put out theories, and always state I never know for a fact, but these people will put out that Drake and other rappers sacrificed XXX like it is a fact and that is more dangerous than getting backlash for a fucking joke. It feels like these things are created, maybe both sides are in on it, but it serves its agendas, because the cultists of XXX’s will have a field day and then the ones fighting back have a new angle of a comedian being the fucking victim. These same comedians would not approve of me calling out how comedians are compromised, and not with the jokes they tell, but when they do their podcasts or radio shows, and are being 100 percent serious will advocate for death of minorities and intellectualize it.
I never seen anyone in comedy ever call out how comedy shows like Stern Show or O&A helped start the alt right, and even though these shows were hilarious and there was satirizing of racism, misogyny, and homophobia etc but when they spoke out seriously about things they were spreading nonstop propaganda, and acting like the side they were fighting for is completely freedom, while constantly tying corporate nature with people speaking out against the systemic evils, even if it was limited, like they were not doing the same thing but on a much more edgier level. You don’t see any of these free speech comedians ever call out people like Stern for blackballing me from comedy and not letting me have a more progressive message or maybe explaining how there are initiations about how people have to partake in propaganda to make it, no one wants to hear that shit, so they will limit the messages on either side. No one will pay attention to this anyways, because I will be lumped in with every blogger who is censoring comedy, even though I want comedy to be free, and this supposed presentation of “what comedy is supposed to be” is also prostituted and no one will ever dare point it out and it will just be seen with different cliques and more limited narratives.
So there is my fucking piece. It was shitty and no one should respect me. I hope someday I am out of this world so I never have to endure the pretentiousness and maybe I won’t feel the need to give into this bullshit because my mind does weaken and sometimes I wish I did sell out because it looks so appealing to be celebrated and be able to have connections, but I isolated myself and am not capable of fully trusting another fucking human being. I will always be miserable, and even though I used to think it was cool to be miserable, and self centered, because that was seen as the ultimate “I don’t give a fuck” thing, I realized it was propaganda, but it might be too late for me because my mind has been poisoned for so long, that my mind could be persuaded into this shit. It is what scares me, and for the good of this planet, I would beg people to just rid me off here because it is becoming too much for my fucked up brain to handle.
Let me clarify though, every comedian has a right to try out dark material, it might not land well, but sometimes it feels like these situations are meant to cause a reaction because it is the new marketing, and I don’t think that XXX deserved to die, being shot at 20 year old is horrible and I do personally believe that someone could have changed if the right people had got to him, and I always feel like people in the industry who do horrible things is part of some initiation, and for some rappers it is always meant to put them in violent situations etc, but no one ever wants to discuss that, so maybe XXX was changing his life and the problematic behavior, but people have to keep in mind that people don’t also have to like what he did, and the ones who have a problem with that joke maybe get on your platforms and discuss why people in the industry do shitty things, like these corporations don’t design it this way, but we can’t prove any of that right? I just had layered thoughts of this whole situation, and people will accuse me of not being for free speech of comedy. I believe comedians should be able to tell their jokes etc. It would not even shock me some of the people threatening to dox and kill this female comedian, weren’t also some right wing types making it seem far more dangerous than what it was. I could be wrong but I question everything and everyone. Everyone has a fucking agenda. These same people who defend Louie, also act like people going after Louie are the ones who have the agenda, but acting like your defense of him is just for the art of comedy, not like you are being given incentive to defend him. It is also funny that the people who were embracing him when he was more socially conscious, never once mentioned how Louie came from being a well off privileged dude, and was not this everyday working man, it is funny how that happens to come out after all of this, kind of like it is like wrestling and it was time to turn Louie heel now. Just my thoughts.

The 10 Most Difficult-to-Defend Online Fandoms
Oh, fandom. So passionate, so partisan—and, too often these days, so prolifically peevish. From Tumblr and Wattpad to more mainstream platforms like Twitter and Instagram, online communities have served as rallying points for stan armies: obsessives who comb over every interview and shred of non-news for information about the object of their adoration. But increasingly, fandoms' emotions have been curdling into a different kind of potion; something petty, entitled, conspiratorial, even abusive. So on the occasion of San Diego Comic-Con, one of the biggest fan events in the world, it's time for some tough love.
First, a note: this is a look at toxic strains that exist within a larger fandom, not an indictment of a given artist or person. Fandom is a pure and precious thing, and no one should feel conflicted about being invested in a pop-culture figure or property. If you express that investment by being a worse person, though—treating appreciation like warfare, demanding dogmatic purity tests, attacking people, or seeing yourself as some kind of a crusader—than it's probably time to take some time and re-assess things. We're sure nothing in the following catalog sounds like anything you've done in the name of fandom, right? Enjoy Comic-Con!
10. Barbz (Nicki Minaj Fandom)
The Barbz are a fiercely loyal sort. Case in point: In April, upon the release of Invasion of Privacy, a writer for British GQ explained how Cardi B had adopted Nicki Minaj’s style in a much more accessible way. “Nicki intimidates; Cardi endears,” she wrote. Minaj disciples responded with an all-out attack. The GQ staffer was flooded with malicious tweets, ranging from the direct (“I will kill u bitch”) to even more direct (“You better to delete that before we get your address and start hunting you and your family down!!”) The following month, the Barbz turned on one of their own when a self-proclaimed fan wondered aloud on Twitter: “You know how dope it would be if Nicki put out mature content? No silly shit, just reflecting on past relationships, being a boss, hardships, etc.” (Minaj took it further and DMed a disgustingly petty reply to the fan). For Barbz, fandom doesn’t allow for dissent—even when it's not dissent but a valid, healthy appraisal. This may come as a surprise, y'all, but love and criticism are not mutually exclusive.
9. Swifties (Taylor Swift Fandom)
Generally speaking, Taylor Swift’s fans aren’t bad—they just really love Swift and tend to be a little over-the-top about it. And most of the time, that’s what fandom is. (Also, this is a pop star who sends holiday presents to them; she’s earned their devotion.) But within that group, the “Bad Blood” singer has a few bad apples. There are those who go after Hayley Kiyoko for daring to point out that she shouldn’t be criticized for singing about women when Swift sings about men all the time. (Swift actually agrees with Kiyoko on that point.) There are Swifties who get bent out of shape when she doesn’t get nominated for enough awards. And then there are the white supremacists—fans Swift seems to have done nothing to court, but pop up anyway. Yeah, the ones who call her an “Aryan goddess”? Those are the ones who give her a bad reputation.
8. Zack Snyder Fans
Look, Zack Snyder's hardcore supporters have it rough. Or, well, they think they do. They’ve hitched their wagon to a star that occasionally blinks out. He’s made some OK movies (Dawn of the Dead, Watchmen) but he’s made even more that have been trashed by critics: Sucker Punch; Man of Steel; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. That's led to a persecution complex among more than a few of his stans. While this kerfuffle has died down a bit with Snyder's step back from the spotlight—recently, he has shifted focus to make iPhone movies and produce the DC movies rather than direct them—the coming years represent a reckoning. James Wan’s Aquaman and Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman sequel are headed to theaters, and the receptions they get may determine whether critics have complaints with all DC movies, or just the ones with Snyder behind the camera. In the meantime, though, his own personal justice league will be there to defend it.
7. Rick and Morty Fans
Yes, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland created a funny, smart, challenging (god, those burps) cartoon. Yes, it delivers a bizarro Back to the Future ride through both spacetime and genre tropes. Yes, it's the most STEM-conscious animated show since Futurama. But sweet tapdancing Pickle Rick, you've never seen a TV fandom more noisome than this one. There's the "this show is so smart normies don't get it" self-congratulation that's so over-the-top it became a copypasta meme; there's the propensity to doxx the show's female writers and generally be such venal stains that Harmon despises them; there's the mass freakout after McDonald's ran out of limited-edition Szechuan dipping sauce. (Yes, that's correct.) While Adult Swim recently renewed the show for 70 new episodes, there's going to be quite a lull before anyone sees a new episode—here's hoping the fans grow up a little bit in the meantime.
6. #TeamBreezy (Chris Brown Fandom)
It’s been almost a decade since reports first surfaced of Chris Brown’s violent abuse of then-girlfriend Rihanna. Since then, Rihanna has rocketed to pop superstardom while Brown’s career has strided along, aided by a loyal following that borders on enablers. Despite an earnest-seeming redemption tour, reports of Brown’s violent behavior continue to bubble up: Brown’s ex-girlfriend filed for a restraining order; Brown went on a homophobic Twitter rant; Brown punched a fan in a nightclub; Brown locked a woman in his home, without a cell phone, so she could be sexually assaulted. (Brown’s camp denies that last accusation.) Yet, Team Breezy generally attributes such reports to misinformation and "haters." Fandoms are built on stand-by-your-man loyalty, but at some point it becomes impossible to love the art in good conscience. If the #MeToo movement is any indication, the times have changed since Rihanna’s bloody face headlined gossip sites. Willful ignorance is no longer an acceptable choice.
5. XXXtentacion Fans
On June 18, outside of a Broward County motorcycle dealership, 20-year-old Jahseh Onfroy was fatally gunned down by two assailants. At the time of his death, Onfroy, who rapped under the moniker XXXTentacion, had already amassed a rare kind of fame: He attracted deep love and even deeper hate with a ferocious mania. The allure of Onfroy’s dark matter inspired the type of fandom that spills into violent obsession. A recurring source of vitriol for the rapper, and an easy target for his rabid fanbase, was his ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala, who filed multiple charges against the rapper (including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, and witness tampering). When it came to light that Ayala created a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for hospital bills due to damage inflicted by Onfroy, his fans bullied her into exile: forcing her to delete Instagram, hacking her Twitter account, harassing her at work to the point that she was left with no option but to quit, and shutting down her GoFundMe (it was later reopened). Having made a name for himself on Soundcloud, where he often engaged issues of mental health in his music, Onfroy willingly embraced his demons (he once called himself “lil dylan roof” on Twitter, referencing the Charleston shooter who murdered nine parishioners in South Carolina in 2015). But even now, in death, XXX is a reminder that extreme fandom has the power to blind people to the blood on their own hands.
4. Logang (Logan Paul Fandom)
Let’s get this out of the way up front. Many, even most, of Logan Paul’s fans are literal children. And so if you ask us who is really responsible for their bad behavior, we’re going to have to say the fault is predominantly with Paul and, you know, other adults. But the Logang (or the Logangsters, depending on who you ask), like Lil Tay, are inventing a new category of internet villain: the terrifying baby troll. They do all the things adult trolls do—parrot back the sexist and racist things Pauls says, stalk him outside hotel rooms, and harass and troll the “haters” daring to criticize their deeply problematic idol—but they’re kids! So you can’t really fire back at them without being a jerk yourself. Listen, Logang: all Logan wants to do is sell you merch. He’s not really your friend. Can I interest you in a puppy video?
3. Bro Army (Pewdiepie Fandom)
First rule of non-toxic fandoms: Don’t call yourselves "bro," don’t call yourselves an "army," and definitely don’t call yourselves the Bro Army. People might assume you’re a bunch of flame-war-loving trolls who think girls are icky—and where YouTuber PewDiePie’s fans are concerned, everyone would be absolutely right. It’s not just that they’ve stuck with the Swedish gamer/alleged comedian as he peppered his videos with racial slurs, rape jokes, anti-Semitism, and homophobia for nearly a decade (though that’s bad enough). It’s also that they insist that PewDiePie somehow isn’t being hateful at all. Oh, and if you quote their hero back at them, they’ll wallpaper your social media accounts with thoughtful messages about how you suck—for years.
2. The Dark Side of Star Wars Fandom
The most recent eruption has been a hilariously non-ironic campaign to remake The Last Jedi, but that's sadly just the latest in a long line of online grossness from the entitled Sith-heads who are so keen on reclaiming the Star Wars universe . Somehow, Gamergate has come to a galaxy far, far away; hectoring, harassment, even death threats aimed at director Rian Johnson. To be clear, this is a tiny (if vocal) subset of Star Wars fandom, which on the whole is as joyous and inclusive as the universe is finally becoming. But to to quote our own Adam Rogers:
"Everyone has a right to opinions about movies. Everyone has a right, I guess, to throw those opinions in the face of the people who make those movies, though it does seem at minimum impolite. Everyone has the right to ask transnational entertainment companies to make the movies they want, and if those companies don’t respond, to stop giving the companies money. But harassment, threats, jokes about someone’s race or gender? A Jedi would fight someone who did that stuff. The Force binds us all together. Hatred and anger are the ways of the Dark Side; they may bring power, but at a cost. It harms individuals, debases the people who do it, and it breaks the Fellowship. In the end, the cost of that power will be powerlessness."
1. Elon Musk Acolytes
"Always punch up" is a good life motto. You’ll accomplish a lot by speaking truth to power; dissecting the misdeeds of a relative unknown, though, makes you look like a tool. That’s why, despite the plethora of dark and toxic fandoms that flourish on the fringes of the internet, the group that tops our list of nasties is devoted to a person at the internet's very center: Elon Musk. To his fan club, Musk is so much more than a charismatic artist, a talented musician, or, hey, a flawed but successful tech entrepreneur—he’s a messiah, a vestige of an age of retrograde masculinity, when a reasonably successful man could expect his ideas to remain unchecked and his words be read as gospel. And Musk wields his one-man metaphor status (and his 22.3 million follower army) to whack out any dissenting opinions. “Because before he commented on my tweet, it was floundering in relative obscurity,” science writer Erin Biba wrote in a piece for the Daily Beast. But after Musk’s dismissive response, Biba found herself drowning in hate mail and abuse. By letting his mob pick over opinions he does not like, Musk is able to control the narrative, playing up investigative reporting on Tesla’s poor labor practices as a misinformation campaign—or even, in some recent deleted tweets, insinuating that one of the people involved with the Thai cave rescue efforts is a pedophile. It’s bad to be thin-skinned, and terrible to play the underdog, but playing it while you ignite a million-man bullying campaign is reprehensible.

So i did a lot of raids last night. Damn am i making a lot of enemies lately. Alkurna put me on blast cause i kicked him out of kp sm 8 man gf. Tbqh, i dont remember kicking the guy out...but either way the group was irritated with him and said he was "triggering" them so i wrote "you are triggering" or something. He thought i kicked him because he was criticizing me dying twice on first boss. Ok first of all, rancor didnt enrage so stfu. It wasnt a dps issue. But after that i couldnt tell because sasha (usually a healer) was tanking and pres (usually a tank) was healing. Yeah. So i know we gotta be behind the fucking rancor but i got the debuff so i died. It hit for 200k and i have 100k health. Bit this guy tried telling me i should bubble and im like....i dont need to be told how to sorc. That and i bubbled because healer got me up but didnt heal my health up. That shit should be able to be solo healed. Either way he got on allies bitching aboyt me but i really paid no attention because while he was bitching about 1 person (me), 6 people were bitching about him. Yeah, surprise bitch. 6 people dont wanna raid with you. It was a group decision. I was simply a figure head. Um i did snv before that tho. I noticed kell alting a lot. Surprise, i didnt do shit. If you noticed your toons out of the guild, surprise. I wasnt even in the guilf when you got kicked. Blame me now bish. I didnt do shit to you and i didnt tell them to do shit. Kell argued shes "quitting" the game. Fun fact. She alwqys disappears and comes back. She did it before. And the reason i said she did this to herself is because whenever shes not toying with boys in game, shes toying with guys in rl. I forgot his name, but it started with a 'T'. Thomas? Either way this shit happened in rl. She lost a lot of friends and idk she claims her friends told her another girl is talking shit but...bitch try that for me Try that for me. Its possinle the other girl did that, but try that for me. Cause i have ss. No! I have conversations that are uncut that show how toxic your own fucking words are...dare you to ss my shit and cut context out. Its so simple to but do you really dare to? I will fight back. Tread carefully. I have nothing to lose while you have everything to lose. Dont you realize that you had everything to lose to begin with when you made relationships on a foundation of lies? Dont even saybyoure fucking misguidrd cause youre a liar. You dont hurt people you love. I see the trash you posted on fb before i blocked you. You talk about love but youre a fucking snake and youre the one trlling our mutual friends *i* was doinf stupid shit. Do you know how *nice * i am? Do you onow how many times you fucked me over in the past and our mutual friends knew? Cause i fucking had a meltdown? But they fucking know how kind i am. They know ive supported cody, regardless of how fucked up the situation got for me or his friends. I never spoke any fucking ill will towards him when i had every reason to. Never. I just kept wishing him.the best. When kelsara popped into my life and kept harassing me? I had a meltdown. You fucking ran away and couldnt dewl with it. But aris and gold have seen me meltdown before. They were my rocks. I had every reason to be mean to kelsara and every reason to hate cody but you dont see me rubbing it in his face. Dor a reason. I still dont know how to really process it. But i know i have no ill will towards cody. I didnt even shit talk him then for christs sake. When he banned me from the ts and kicked me out of my home, the guild, i should have had every reason to hate him. He "chose" you over family. You even said i was on the "no" list but nobody stopped raiding with me. No one. I did however refuse to carry a fucking tank that doesnt know their rotation. Aka kell. Hell not even you have the power to get her into raids. If her rep is a shit tank, shes not getting into raids. That has nothing to do with me or her shitty being. But even i noticed you dont form raids for her the way i did....dont say i didnt fucking care dor her cause i did so much for that girl....so much. She took no appreciation and wanted more. But yeah, ven if she couldnt get into raids, i noticed you didnt form raids for her either. Shes bad news to run with. Her shit doesnt cleqr. She got cocky and formed a ravagers run without me because i was with muh doing ec. Fucking idiot could have brought an alt but nope. She was petty and formed for rav and kept saying "i hqte you lmlei". Yeah, no. She ender up inviting 3 healers. More on that fucjing later. Its on a stream though. Her fucking petty and immature ass attitude is on stream. Yep! What a gem! Bitch (kell) your love meant nothing to me to bwgin witg because you use people so often. Its why im so bothered youre toying with cody. But either way i formed raids for her qnd i see why...she couldnt form raids...not even in the fuilds she was in. I joined her ev sm run with, her guildies and shit did they aggro a lot of shit to the point i froze the entire time but dethhs qnd i cleared trash as soon as their asses fucking died and my fps fixed itaeld. Idiot. So yes you may have jumped the gun and banned me from ts and kicked me from the guild but i still felt i got the longer end of the stick. Cause i didnt have you looming over me like aris, wick, and gold did. They either didnt know when you were kicking them or if you even were or if they were leaving themselves cause they saw no valid reason for me to get kicked to begin with. They saw no valid reason cody. This is why im saying ask for the truth from them because in no way did i feed these bitches shit. They experienced and lived this shit. They know what went down. That and i raided then and i didnt stop raiding now that i had no guild. Jokes on you, ive been pugging and making friends a ling time before you came back...i hope i made you proud...cause my shit clears...so i did meet friends and i am familiar with fuckers you shouldnt raid with....but yeah... Jokes qlwo on you cause you put me on the "no" list for the prog team i helped solidify. Cody, i lovw you found these people. I love it. It means you still know what quality looks like. But while you were gone, it was a group effort to find the rest if the players and make sure theyd get along in the long run. We clicked pretty well. You came in wnd told them i wasnt allowed to be apart of that...who tge duck qre you or anyone to tell someone else who they cant play with That beinf said, even you xontinued to rwid with me. When kell wasnt invited to the group, you still raided with me. The man who made and put me on the no list...still raided with me. Rip. Secretly or not...you still raided with me. I just wish you soent less time pulling bs stories out of your ass and just played cause you xant relax when youre too busy lying qnd hiding. Cody, please. Play the fame you want it to. You know how i know they love you? Months ago i told them that rhey had to play the game they wanted to. So fast forward to kell and kevins shitty tanking and they notice neither of them know how to form tight vaginas at karraga. Aris initiqlly suggests that you might have to tank and i didnt even have time to unmute my mic before she and wick chime in qnd say "nvm let him decide what toon to play" . THAT is why wick hopped on his tank. He didnt want you to. They love you dearly and just wanted you to wnjoy playing the toon you wanted. Aka your sniper lately. Also when you died on n'hova at karraga no worries. We knew you knew your shit but your gear wont be able to hold aggro and your health is affected wince you were still lvl 65. It wasnt on you. But yeah, if you were completely upset or...whatever, or believed anything at all of what she says, you wouldnt be raidinf with me. Idk why youre raiding with me or raiding with me in secret wt all,but yeah. Ill tell you this much, if you spent less time secretly raiding with me and more time raiding with aris qnd gold and the peog teqm i heped make, you could be touching hwrd mode content. Just sayin. You qr3nt made for sm cody.. youre ready for hm...let me do that...i enjoy it...wventually it wonr be a chwllenge but....i meet people this way...teach them...and recruit them...i get people that stay in the guild cody....you should be trying hm with aris now...no more of this sm stuff with me cody...i enjoy spending time with you but imagine what you could have cleared by now... But yeah...kell cant take my ops or friends away from me...*i* made a name for myself...i knew that if my raids cleared, more people will run with me more frequently....and my friends? Theyve seen the ugly sides of me when...i had meltdowns...they saw the honest parts of me as well...but they never knew me to be a liar...so yes cody...i kept friends and burned bridges with one...why? Cause im not q liar qnd even if i tried burning bridges (believe me, i tried. I tried burning it with wick)....they wouldnt let me... I asked wick why qnd he said he thought i was genuinely kind...so i finqlly told him why i told kellavia to wqtch himself with her...thats a story for anoth3r day...but yeah... I have people who choose to stand by me because im not fake and im genuinely kind qnd im not even trying to tear kell down at all...shes doing it heraelf 2hen she approaches these "mutual" friends of ours...and shit talks me ans blames me I had no hand cody She has a mouth and im not gonna protect her. I told her that shit we ever talked about stays between us...my last straw? When she told klebis. She even told him your reql name. I just...i broke down from there. Im careful with your name cody...i have studf i should be blamed for but...i cant control ofher peoples mouths. Th3 onee that wr3 nontoxic and like understand the situation know this isnt their information to share. She made my life into a shit show by thinking she can share this information thays not even hers. Like i said, she has a naive view of thinfs so why the fuck would i want her of all people telling people qbout it. I never let her aee the bwautiful parts of you...i showed her your little dipper...so handsome... Sigh. Doing it again. This is pure torture.
