Makoto was outside of Future Foundation for a bit of recon, it normal wasn't anything he would do as that stuff was up to division 6 however he had just used the excuse of recon to get out and explore the damaged city. He really hadn't seen much of the damage due to mostly being kept inside the Future Foundation HQ, the only times he had really seen the damage to the world up close was when he had gone to apprehend a remnant, and even then it was somewhat brief and he didn't really fully have the time to do so. An instinct that had proven to be fairly smart, as despair spread across nearly every corner of the world it could reach. But as civilization had fallen and burned to the ground, his forest home had remained mostly untouched. 

Mostly.

Gonta had learned a few things fairly quickly in the earliest days of the world’s end. One, most of the humans who ended up in the woods nowadays were either looking for a place to hide, or to harm the forest.

Two, any humans looking to do the latter needed to be stopped by whatever means necessary.

Three...

...the humans who fell into the first category needed protection. And despite everything, Gonta’s desire to be the perfect gentleman still rang strong even through the hardest times.

Shelter was one thing, Gonta knew every inch of those woods and could direct them to places where they’d be safe. But with more and more people looking to cause harm approaching the forest every day, some with things like fire and guns, Gonta would have to think outside the box when it came to shelter fortification.

It was why he’d returned to the city in the first place. His logic? Metal works to protect things like cars and the big tanks he’d been seeing over the past years. If he brought some back to add to the shelter, it would keep everyone safer!

He’d been heading back, big arms loaded up with plenty of metal he’d stripped from whatever he could (cars, mailboxes, destroyed metal bears), when he nearly ran into an unknown person on the sidewalk.

“Oh, pardon Gonta,” he began. “Gonta was just-”

His instinct to be polite was his initial reaction, before realization set in and the metal was carefully set to the side before he took a defensive stance.

“Uh, what Gonta mean is: who are you, and are you a bad human who want to hurt Gonta?! Gonta not afraid!”

thought we'd check in on the Lost in the Hallway(tm) crew

SO it's still the same with the og survivor group joining, but more of the class is hopping aboard too (taka, chihiro, and sakura jumped at the chance). i think the only reason ff relented and allowed the remnants to use their hospital was because all of the thh class pulled sad puppy eyes & promised to take care of them. it's not all roses, but i think whatever wariness/resentment 78 feels towards 77 won't make them turn their backs. they are makoto's class after all.

no no the lil remnants have a more punch-on-sight adversary to watch out for. if not just to make their lives a little more difficult than they need to be ヾ(*´ ∇ `)ﾉ

"Yes, darling?" Komaeda raises a brow, glasses sliding down as he pushes them up, finally looking up from his screen.

"I'm hungry." You blow a raspberry, staring at your ring. "When do you finish? Do you need help? Should I run down and grab something for us?"

"I'm almost done." He hums. "If you're hungry, you can grab something right now."

"I wanna go with you." You huff.

"Five minutes." He grins sheepishly. "Sorry, they want this done by tonight."

"What is it?"

"It's the plans to rescue more survivors." He smiles.

"Can you hook up your hand to the computer and type with your mind?"

"Not quite." He pauses. "I can ask Hinata-kun, though."

You pause to stare at his hands, and at the way he frowns.

"Did you forget your pain meds?"

"Ah... as expected. You figured it out." He laughs awkwardly.

"Here." You pull an extra bottle from your drawer. "I asked Hinata for an extra bottle in case you forget yours, ever."

"Oh." He catches it, smiling. "You're always prepared, aren't you, darling?

"Can we get food after this?" You frown.

"Yes. Work can wait. It's the least I can do since you have my pills." Komaeda swallows the pills as you look at him in horror. No water??

"I'm never going to get over the way you swallow pills."

"Well you have all of eternity for that." Komaeda smiles down at you as he stops at your table. "Ready?"

"Yeah." You smile, taking his hand, ring cooling his skin. "What do you wanna eat?"

"I'll see when we get there."

I have rewritten or made an au where Class 77b are helping Future Foundation! It's Post-NWP, Makoto convinces the divisions that they can unbrainwash them with a help of proof, luckily they accepted it, but if it goes wrong they'll have to kill em. Then sdr2 happens, FF we're deciding if they should like stop the program but instead of doing that, they helped Makoto remove the virus in the last trial in sdr2. After all the crap, FF we're keeping the Class 77B in observation if there's any changes. (spoilers: It's all good!)

So, smth random, but I had an idea regarding the Power Stones [I'm renaming them to Power Crystals]. The idea is p much the cast ending up being able to use magic at will.

So, for y'all's who don't know abt Power Crystals since that post is so long ago, here's an explanation + some changes/additions here n der:

The crystals contains magic, and they act similar to a battery. Their power diminishes as you use it, but they can recharge overtime. The larger the attack, longer the recharge time.

-Imagine it like this-

100% -> Small Attack -> 95% -> 3s Recharge Time (Back To 100%)

100% -> Big Attack -> 80% -> 10s Recharge Time

If it was back to back, then the time will add up.

Idk if I should decrease recharge time when they use the weapon without using magic. Like the equivalent of using a Basic Attack instead of a Skill when you've run out of Skill Points.

Anyway, you can tell how much magic a crystal has left from the brightness of its' colour;

Brightest = Max Capacity

Dim, close to black = Low On Power

The main part abt this explanation is the fact that Power Crystals cannot be used by just anyone.

I dunno how, where and when they'd get these crystals, but I had a dream once where they p much for on adventures that allows them to get it. Like a 'story quest' for each one of them. They do smth that ends up resonating with the characters and ending up crystallizing into- well, the crystals.

That would be why nobody can use the crystal but the person themselves.

I did make them to be part of their end-game weapons, but I want to change them to accessories. Example for this would be... Imagine Pibby getting her crystal, it turns into a ribbon accessory.

I'd imagine by the end, final battle probably, that they get accustomed to using magic that the crystals don't need to exist anymore. They'll be able to use magic on their own.

Just, some thoughts I wanted to share because I have a list, specifically the types of magic that each of them would have.
