Answering this for my Superpowers Story because I really should be working on it.

The Laverna Family are a well-known and ancient vampire family who are trying to move away from the whole “killing your victims” thing because they don’t think it’s the best outcome for the vampires. On the flip side, the Johnson Brothers are very much on the “murder food” side of things.

Ruby and Billie Lore are trained vampire hunters, but whereas Billie sees all vampires as evil, Ruby is more likely to give them the benefit of the doubt. Old friend Matt only knows about all of this because he accidentally found their stake room one day, and they kind of had to come clean.

When Mathias and Sophia start dating, he does make a comment about how rare she eats her meat. She comments that it’s because Robbo always used to cook it that way – taught to cook by their English grandmother who complained that her French husband only ever ate his meat raw.

Because of the immortality of vampires, Gabe has actually been lucky enough to meet all the painters that created works he adores, and got a few of them to paint him small replicas before they died.

Mitch is the only human in the Laverna gang at the moment, and he always teases Sophia about how bad she is at keeping up with the time they’re living in.

Bruce Wayne’s parties were always a large event. They were filled with more theatrics than the West End on opening night, had more special guests than a talk show after an awards ceremony and were filled with so much jewellery that Sophia wasn’t one-hundred percent sure where she should be looking.

Beside her, she could tell that Mitch was eager to get the job done. His attention kept darting around, searching out easy camera targets, anything that he could hack. After all, that was the point of a reconnaissance mission. Not that Sophia was too focused on all that. Everything felt like it needed her attention, felt like it was inviting her to take a closer look, to take things if they were easily accessible. Across the room she spotted Gabe and Kalie, the woman distracting attention with elaborate gestures as she spoke; Gabe was looking at the art though, surveying it for the pieces that would bring the highest price at auction.

At least, she guessed he was doing his job rather than simply admiring the paintwork.

‘A.J., stop fiddling with it,’ a young man chastised, snapping Sophia’s attention to a duo walking their way.

Dick Grayson was an impossible person to ignore. He held himself with the grace of a gymnast, a little of his guardian’s arrogance settling over him but in an almost charming way. Even with his dark hair slicked back it was possible to see the constant movement that he had. An air of always wanting to be somewhere else, even though he was grinning brightly and probably enjoying the crowd. Enjoying the attention that came with it, the pleasant smiles and eagerness for conversations to start.

The young woman with him shot him a death glare but didn’t stop fiddling with the material of her dress. She was hating it; a foil to Dick’s reaction.

‘Why do I even have to come to this stupid gala?’ she grumbled, tugging the dress down slightly before hiking it up again. ‘I don’t care what happens at Wayne Enterprise.’

‘Yes you do,’ Dick said simply, shooting her a small smile.

The woman merely shrugged, as if indifferent, but Sophia could see the small smile flickering on her lips. She was playing, enjoying the reaction of Dick Grayson; her entertainment in the whole evening.

‘Phia,’ said Mitch carefully, ‘we need to see more of the cameras.’

She barely nodded, her attention on the young adults that now seemed to be walking their way, a kind of intrigue burning behind Dick’s eyes, a charming smile on his face.

‘Hi,’ she said brightly, mirroring his own smile at him. ‘Nice to meet you, Mr. Grayson.’ She unlinked her arm from Mitch’s and offered her hand out to Dick.

Dick’s smile seemed to widen as he shook her hand. ‘Dick, please,’ he introduced, ‘Miss…’

‘Soph,’ she said, waving a hand of introduction at Mitch. ‘And this is Tyler.’ She spotted the flicker of surprise on his face, but he quickly plastered a barely convincing smile onto his face. He extended his hand out towards Dick.

‘My ever smiling friend is A.J.,’ Dick said, nudging the young woman gently in the ribs.

A.J. nodded at them, but Sophia couldn’t help feeling as though she were being analysed or something.

‘Well,’ Sophia said, carefully looping her arm through Mitch’s once more, patting his arm, ‘we’d best not keep you too long. It was a pleasure meeting you both.’

She could tell Dick wanted to brush her comment off, to assure her that they weren’t wasting his time or anything, but he didn’t. It was if he understood their need to move on; though, she doubted he did otherwise the security team would be on them. ‘You too,’ he said, stepping aside to let them pass.

Sophia eased passed them, Mitch just behind her.

‘Hope to see you again,’ said Dick as they moved further through the crowd.

She waved a hand over the sea of heads, uncertain to if he saw the gesture or not.

‘Of course you’d get on with him,’ complained Mitch playfully as they weaved closer to Gabe and Kalie.

She groaned, gently hitting his arm. But she was glad he was there with her, that the real fun was only just beginning.

‘If the Bat turns up,’ Sophia said softly, rubbing her arms in an attempt to battle the cold, ‘can we get Plan to talk to him? A grump off.’

Archie stifled laugher. Despite his large size he was eyeing Gabe warily. The man was glaring at the both of them, the scowl making the gesture obvious given the darkness around his eyes the mask created.

‘Focus, Shadow,’ her father murmured, not looking away from his scanning of the end of the alleyway and the rooftops above them. He was looking for signs of the Bat and his Boy Wonder; enough of the police had been paid off already, they weren’t an issue.

Sophia nodded sombrely.

‘It’s all clear,’ Mitch’s voice assured her through the ear piece; his words coming out in the usual Italian of a job - however butchered the pronunciation was.

She glanced briefly at her father, who gave a curt nod, before she got to work with the lock. It took her no more than a few seconds to pick the lock and slip into the darkness. She let out a calming breath as she eased the door closed behind her. She needed to scout out more of the security before any of the others came in. She knew Gabe would be there in an instant if she needed him, no matter how moody he’d been.

Carefully, she snuck through the corridor. She strained her ears, listening with every step. She traced the path from the side door into the main auditorium, without really thinking.

When she reached the doors she listened for a moment, tried to peer around the edges to see if she could make anything out in the room beyond. But there was nothing.

‘Almost,’ she murmured into the communicators, before she pulled the door open softly, hurrying in before anyone would notice any different.

She was lucky. There was no one in the room beyond. The security system had been disabled by Mitch from the café across the road; Kalie keeping all attention away from him.

‘Ready when you are,’ she murmured, the Italian of work easy to slip into for her.

She heard her father giving orders but kept sneaking forwards; weaving across the floor just in case there were any trip wires, in case there were sensors directly in front of it that they hadn’t known about.

She was almost there when she heard the curse over the communicator.

‘Chef?’ she asked, panic gnawing at her chest.

‘Your boss is out there?’

Sophia turned quickly at the sound of the cheerful voice; her chains were already in her hands, the familiar weight of them something of a comfort. It was impossible to miss the colours of Robin’s outfit; but there was something about the sound of his voice that had disorientated her.

She groaned.

‘Je ne comprends –’

‘Notre chef. Il est – ?’

Sophia cut him off with a wave of the hand, chains flashing. ‘What do you want, Boy Wonder?’

He chuckled, his own weapon already in his hands. ‘To stop you.’

‘Good luck,’ she said, smiling as she offered out her wrists. ‘Catch me if you can.’

Just as he took a step forwards, Sophia rushed to one side. Robin was fast, but she guessed he didn’t go jogging every morning, guessed most of his training involved fighting because that seemed to be the Bat’s main concern. If she could keep moving for long enough…

Something flashed past her head, made a metal sound against one of the pillars.

‘Not very heroic,’ she teased, ducking behind the pillar.

‘I can show you heroism if you want,’ he said. ‘But you’ll need to come out here.’

She chuckled softly, glancing towards the exit closest to her. It took her to the other side of the building, if she remembered Gabe’s blueprints correctly. Not the greatest of places, but it was better than being cooped up inside with the Boy Wonder.

She heard him take a cautious step forwards. Instinct took over. She dove towards the door, hauled it open and ducked through it. She’d barely slammed it shut before she heard Robin knock against it. ‘You’ll have to be quicker than that. Won’t be seeing you, Robin,’ she teased, forcing a chair under the handle, one she’d seen a security guard sitting on earlier in the evening. And then she bolted, knowing that she had to get to the others.

Maybe their luck in Gotham City was finally reaching its last legs, and moving would once again be an inevitability before they found themselves taking on one job too many.

sadly there is very minimal interaction between these two anymore, but they came into the NHL as rookies in 2017 and immediately became BEST friends playing together on the worst team in the league. they lived together and did everything together until tyson was traded away from colorado in 2022. jt has also now been traded away just recently.

6. erik johnson and gabe landeskog, hockey rpf

it’s 2011 and the youngest captain in nhl history gets drafted onto a team with a former number 1 prospect who has just been traded away from his initial team after injuring himself badly, and the two become tight instantly. LOTS of twitter banter occurs, and they play together for 11 years before winning a cup together! sadly, gabe has been out for a year after badly injuring himself during the 2022 playoffs, and ej just got traded away to buffalo, MEANING that the last game they ever played together was the game they won the cup….. sooo damn tragic and poetic

5. darius garland and donovan mitchell (spidaland), basketball rpf

they’ve only had one season together on the cavs, and sadly fell short in the playoffs, but they’re one of the best guard pairings in the nba for a reason, because they literally have soooooo much chemistry. also they’re ALWAYS touching each other????? like my camera roll is so full of pictures of them hugging

4. sebastian vettel and kimi räikkönen (simi), f1 rpf

they invented grumpy/sunshine. you can’t drive for ferrari and not get shipped with ur teammate i’m sorry it’s the rules! especially when you have a reputation for being as cold as ice but whenever you’re around him you start smiling… kimi ur not slick!

3. alain prost and ayrton senna (prosenna), f1 rpf

these two were INSANE. i’m a sucker for a tragic rivalry and they are nothing if not that. the chemistry, the tension, the way alain still talks about ayrton to this day, it all kills me. there’s so much about them we will never know and it drives me up the wall

these two oh my goddddd. might mansplain a bit here bc this is not a popular pairing at all — they were drafted to the denver nuggets in 2014 and 2016 respectively, nikola being a nobody from serbia who didn’t get picked until the second round, and jamal being a top 10 pick with all eyes on him. these two built this team on their backs, going from one of the worst teams in the league to finally winning the championship together in 2023 after facing a major setback when jamal tore his acl in 2021. the way they have so much trust in each other and have built a chemistry that has made them the best duo in the league is so dear to me :’) the dynamic is also spectacular - massive cynical european of little words and friendly but bratty short canadian who loves to have a laugh. i think the fact that i got to watch them grow together and that there’s like 5 other people in the world that ship them just make them sooo dear to me

i literally have no words for these two 😭 i feel like i don’t need to explain that much either, because their story is so tragic and so out of a book that everyone already knows it. the intricacies of the way they destroyed each other will haunt me forever.

What we’re looking for:

The “favorite” Mark out of the original five seasons. “Favorite” here means the mark you ENJOY the most. That could mean you love them, love to hate them, like their style, like the actor, or even sympathize with them.

So it’s pretty personal and pretty open. But what we’re NOT looking for is like, the biggest baddest mark: the one with the objectively best plan, or the one who does the most harm, or anything like that. It’s not “who could beat up whom.” We’re also not looking for the best episode or con. We’re just looking at the characters themselves.
