Since Josh has quite a few soft scenes in 57 Seconds, I saw an opportunity for a Schmelly and quickly went through each episode of YOU. to find something for to use for Vanessa.

I hate to sound utterly obsessed but I cannot stop staring at it, I can imagine them standing in the kitchen talking and just enjoying each other's company and Mike is literally SO smitten

"Now, Gamora." Thanos would say as he would walk me to the lower levels of the Sanctuary II, "If you're going to continue to fight in my name and prove that you have the makings of the most dangerous assassin in the galaxy, there are plenty more challenges you must face."

"And what would those be, Father?" A much younger, no older than twelve year old me would ask as she now stood in front of two large doors. "Through those doors is your first challenge. You are to cull the herd." He replied, looking down at me with a slight furrow of his brow. Although I was young, I knew the meaning behind the term he used. He'd kept all that lived to oppose him as prisoners in his ship, claiming that they would have a greater purpose down the line. I always wondered what he meant by that, and that was the day I was going to find out. The Mad Titan handed me my Godslayer and opened the doors, gesturing with his free hand for me to go inside.

I went in sword in hand, and found myself in a maze - a maze with walls higher than I could ever think to reach. And before I could turn back to look at Thanos, he had already closed the doors behind me and locked them. "Cull the herd." I reminded myself as I began to seek a way out. With my sword fully extended, I knew I would come across certain 'obstacles' along the way, but I was to deal with each one in a way that would be not so merciful - it was expected of me.

It was only after turning the first corner that I met my first obstacle... Or should I say, prisoner. I could see the fear in their eyes as they fumbled with the small blaster in their blue hands. This person was a Kree male, and by the looks of it, not very skilled when it came to combat and weaponry. A small part of me felt regretful for what I was about to do to him. But as he would plead for his life, a booming voice echoed through the room to interrupt, "Gamora, you know what you must do. No child of mine shall show weakness. You are being timed for this challenge, and you know that if you fail, there will be consequences. Now... Do what you must." It was Thanos.

This test proved to be more dire now as I was being timed. And not having a clue how long I had to eliminate everyone and find the exit drew me to disarm the Kree who stood before me without a second thought. I had made haste in dismembering his hands that held tightly onto the blaster. I didn't give him enough time to shriek and continue to beg for mercy. By then his end had already met him, my sword had already pierced through his chest. And with that now out of the way, I was gone.

By then, I had already been given a few enhancements by the Titan, so I used them to my advantage to get through this maze with both poise and speed. I shut myself out of my own mind and got to work. And as I made my way through the maze and took out each 'obstacle', I noticed that each one was more skilled in combat and weaponry, the difficulty rising with each takedown. Until finally... I made it to the end to find my last opponent who now stood in the way of my success and the approval of Thanos.

The lighting was dim so I couldn't see who they were, or what they were. But the next thing I knew, I was being jumped on. And that's when I discovered that my last opponent was Nebula... As I fought back, I noticed how she fought as if she was possessed. She never let up even for a second. Nebula only ever fought this mercilessly when Thanos had starved her for days on end. And now here I was scrabbling to best her. She had her batons and I had my sword. The two of us were not going to back down. I was more determined than ever to win.

And finally, I had the upperhand. After delivering a powerful kick to her stomach that would send her flying back, I would make my way over to where she landed and stand above her. With my Godslayer in both of my hands, I would raise it to stab her right in the heart. And as I was about to let her meet her maker, the doors of the exit opened. And there stood Thanos.

He clapped as he stood over us and said, "Congratulations, daughter. You did not fail me. Leave Nebula now, she'll get what she deserves later." I felt a strong sense of pride in myself because of that, and moved away from her completely, knowing she wouldn't go to attack me in front of him. The challenge was won and I was safe from her. "Come now, Gamora. There's much we still have to do." He said as he turned and walked away, and I followed behind with a proud grin plastered across my face.

// After so long of not posting on here, I thought it was time I did so. I was inspired to write this because of the MCU accurate book I've read recently that goes into more depth of Gamora and Nebula's upbringing and I wanted to my own take on it. It's not perfect, but I suppose I'm fairly happy with it. :)

I don't really know if I'm the only one who's thought about this because I've barely seen anyone talk about it, I'm probably not but the impression I got from this scene right at the end of Murder of Woes is that as the Addams family car passes the armed truck, the reason why Tyler wakes and the Hyde emerges is because they can sense Wednesday close by. I mean, what else could be the reason? He wouldn't just turn for no reason and whether you'd like to admit it or not, Wednesday does mean a lot to Tyler, so...

Anyway, because of him being able to sense her being in close proximity, I'm sold on the idea of them having some sort of bond of their own that will only grow during the next season.

I won't lie, I've already made the two of them having a bond as my own little headcanon anyway...

It makes me wonder how the second season will start off, and if the first episode will start right where this scene left off.

I can't wait to see where season two will put the two of them.
