how much therapy do you think you would need if you had an abusive dad who hit you and your siblings and got your baby sister killed and then at her funeral your abusive dad mentioned how it wasnt his fault that your baby sister died despite it literally being only his fault and also is personally responsible for the end of the world as everyone knows it and also murdered your best friend/substitute baby sister and also your baby brother almost died five or six times because of your dad's shitty invention and also you had to lock yourself in your bedroom playing video games to the point of not eating for 3 days straight and also your mom left because your dad kept hitting her and then the end of the world happened because of your dad and then your dads workplace sidepiece gave you a bunch of speeches about how great your abusive dad is and then your mom showed up hallucinating your dead sister was still alive and then your abusive dad hit her and then your dads workplace sidepiece died and he was sadder about that than he was about your baby sister dying and then your mom started giving you speeches about how awesome your dad is. like two 40 minute appointments a week maybe?

I watched good night world and it was p interesting up until ep 8. From then on the writing went down hill and the ending sucked. Like the dad is such a piece of shit and doesnt deserved to be remembered fondly and I hate how asuma ends up with his hairstyle and that he and taichi are both balding to resemble him. I feel like up to the very end he doesnt really acknowledge just how much hes hurt his family. He's literally the source of all their problems and has the nerve to tell them to stop blaming him and "get over it already" when he hasnt put any effort into making things better for them. And its soo annoying that kamuro pins the blame on taichiro for the dads suffering. Also we dont know anything about kamuro?? Or the girl pico was based on at all. The mom barely gets screen time either

I wish there were more scenes that took place in the real world and had more time to develop these characters. Asumas idolization of taichiro was an interesting dynamic they introduced and I was excited to see where itd go but then its immediately dropped. Why tf didnt the assistant just take away their headsets while they were out
