HAPPY NO-LONGER-WEDNESDAY
Gong Pildu had almost been a priest, once upon a time.
He hadn’t chosen it for himself. He had, like almost every other child he spent his childhood with, been told that he had a special connection with a god, and then his parents had gladly given him over to the temple.
It would have better, if he had been old enough to decide for himself. Instead, he, like any child forced to do what they had never wanted, had grown tired. He’d abandoned the temple on the cusp of priesthood, ran off with the pretty candlemaker’s daughter, and together, they built a life.
If Gong Pildu had stayed at the temple for just a little longer and learned everything he needed to learn, they might have even kept it.

Gong Pil-Du quickly summoned his Armed Fortress and supported Yi Hyeon-Seong from behind.

The companions looked at each other.

That outstretched hand was held by Yi Seol-Hwa, then Shin Yu-Seung and Yi Gil-Yeong held on to her other hand. The hands of two children were then connected to Yi Ji-Hye. Persephone, as well as Yi Su-Gyeong, followed them right after.
“Kim Dok-Ja! Wake up!!”
Jang Ha-Yeong grabbed Yi Su-Gyeong’s hand and cried out, while Yu Sang-Ah caught her extended hand next.
“Su-Yeong-ssi!”
The last person to grab the outstretched hand was Han Su-Yeong.
