ive got little to no biology knowledge all I have is the deep obsession with the wild kratts and nature documentaries to propel my rotation on the thoughts of pokemon breeding and how different it would look as people and pokemon were not as close in whatever time period PLA is in like much like how dogs and people have changed with their partner ship surely the same has happened to pokemon? like selecting for certain disarmed traits and maybe even how pokemon breed and stuff? not to mention the impact of the growth go the human population had on pokemon populations and behaviors, along with extinctions of certain variations due to like exposure to new pokemon (I am thinking of the rifts) and people bringing over pokemon and maybe even reckless reassessing of caught pokemon into a new ecosystem. and like the breeding itself do different pokemon have different egg laying rates? or is it a new development that was recently bred for to have one big egg, it could be like the one survival strategy of making a bunch of lil guys and then leaving them to fend for themselves or it could be more like the parental approach having a litter and raising the lil guys until they are able to survive. like I dunno its just fun to rotate the idea that people bred pokemon to only produce one lil guy over time and maybe further along in Development because of the bigger size. I also just think it would be hilarious if people breeding pokemon accidentally fucked up the egg groups even worse than before lmao. maybe with time will and bred pokemon have bred much like the thing I. heard about wolves and coyotes and dogs having so much interbreeding theres not really a true coyote anymore. it could like that so much interbreeding between wild and bred pokemon making it so the population of truly wild pokemon is minuscule especially in areas near or around cities and such. I also think it would be neat if maybe wild pokemon were different looking not by a lot especially with the about of inter breeding but like you could tell if some one caught a pokemon or if someone had it from an egg they got at a breeder. maybe wild pokemon are bigger and domesticated pokemon are smaller than theyre wild counterparts due to living indside homes and thus the smaller pokemon were favored over time. kinda like how if you stick a dog and a wolf side by side you can see the difference in appearance. I also think that the wild pokemon who live in cities are much more open to human intervention when they need it, maybe like if they need help with their eggs, I like to think wild pokemon have been affected by domestic pokemon population gene pool wise by decreasing the amount of eggs they produce to a handful with the number varying with egg groups. but yeah I think that theyre more chill with people taking their eggs in the sense theyre aware that having a trainer is a pretty sweet deal for lil guys because the chances of them being eaten goes wayyyyyyyy down. and like not all of the are chill of course people still as a rile try to avoid taking random eggs out of random pokemon nests thats just a great way to get jumped by a really angry mon. I do think that the interbreeding is the reasons the modern pokemon world stopped seeing alphas after a while lmao. im referencing a lot from dogs because I was and still a a big dog fan. and its aloe the thing im the most casually aware of. I do think that theres probably a pokemon breed golden standard and then theirs lil guys who look a lil funky(I really like pokemon hybrids and pokemon based off of real phenomena in the natural world jsfbiadnlkvsbjk) I like to think that theres an entire breeding scene for pokemon contests and such maybe even a dog show type thing where people show off how well bred theyre pokemon are. I do think theres also different levels of breeders, the professionals are the ones who own or work at daycares usually but also work independently to offer up pokemon partners or show Pokémon.

au where lightning’s mom was a spy, but was killed by the lemons when her home was invaded when she least expected it. Before the invaders could flee however, grem heard a baby monty mcqueen waking up in his crib, starting to cry when he fully gained consciousness and saw grem’s face. With a little persuasion from him to acer, grem was able to kidnap take in the kid and raise him in the oil factories without miles axelrod (or anyone outside of the “lemons mafia” really) finding out about his existence. Monty was renamed Lightning so that it would be harder for people in the outside world to identify him, and rarely had anything like television or connections to social media. Most of the lemons were like uncles to Lightning, with Grem and Acer being the “fun” uncles and Professor Zundapp being the scary but actually really caring one.

Zundapp obviously hated the idea of having some “snotty nosed whiny brat” as he put it running amok around the factories, but he actually grew fond of the kid over time and showed him his lab and latest inventions despite Lightning not understanding any of it at a young age. Would also call him “mein sohn” once in a while if he especially feeling fond of Lightning. In fact he actually becomes the lemon who genuinely loves and cares about lightning the most, and when he goes out into the real world for the first time (spoiler alert) along with finn, mater and holly, zundapp assumes that they kidnapped him and nearly mauls and murders them on sight before lightning quickly defuses the situation.

also btw lightning has never seen the sun before 😭😭 like he wont be allowed outside the buildings and onto the platforms during the day so hes usually just seen everything from night time so when he actually does leave the factories and sees the world at day time for the first time he just looks right into the sun and immediately gets flashed by it followed by mater being like “well dont look straight at it!”

I would like to hear about the earth kingdom over expansion theory

‼️ ok. admittedly this DOES require some knowledge of my pre-unification theory to understand better sdhsdh.

but basically, it rests on a few certain assumptions and ideas that make me believe that The Earth Kingdom looks as big as it does because it has made some aggressive, ambitious, and somewhat wobbly land claims throughout its history.

the facts of canon are as follows:

While being divided into smaller kingdoms and states the Earth Kingdom has a centralized seat of power that exerts authority and administration over them (currently, Ba Sing Se).

The Northern Air Temple is marked on the world map as Earth Kingdom Territory, while the other three Air Temples which are not connected to the contiguous EK by land are not.

By 4,000 BG the four nations were not yet unified or ethnically identifiable.

my assumptions and theories are as follows:

While when we appear on the scene in 100AG its clear that the 4 nations developed to have a strong sense of ethnic identity, it is unclear if national ethnic (see: elemental) identity came before or after these territories unified.

The borders of the 4 four nations changed and oscillated over time.

It is the central authority that is currently in power (BSS, Chin The Conqueror, Kuvira, etc) that decides what is and what is not considered the "Earth Kingdom."

These decisions and claims are not always 100% salient, or there is no intrinsic or inherent claim to an ethnic Earth sovereignty over all the territory we see that it possesses.

So essentially what I've concluded/headcanoned based off my own personal assumptions is:

Once upon a time the Earth Kingdom decided that the Northern Air Temple and the mountains they lived in were now Earth Kingdom territory. The Air Nomads simply didn't challenge this because they didn't care about borders or nation states and also the EK has no way of ascending to the temples to collect taxes from them or anything anyway.

Once upon a time the Earth Kingdom decided that the islands closest to the South Pole, which were historically either a mix of Earth and Water elemental identities, mostly Water Tribe, or populated mostly by non-benders, were now Earth Kingdom territory. The people from these islands did not put up much of a fight to these claims since the EK rarely bothered to sail out there anyway.

In conclusion: this theory is mostly an excuse for me to make the world's history messier (because it's fun and realistic) and to expand the Southern Water Tribe's identity and cultural sphere of influence (because it's fun and I can draw about it.) Uhm. play with me in this space? if you want.

So I first started watching tmnt with the 2012 series but I didn't really click with it. More like "it was on TV every once in a while and I enjoyed it but I never went out of my way to watch the whole series and I do not remember much from what I did watch atp" and I remember seeing the promos for Rise and not being super interested (it was 2017-2018 so I would've been like 11-12) and oh MAN I can't believe I didn't watch it when it was coming out it's like right up my alley.

Like. The animation is great, the writing is great, it's funny, I LOVE the bros and their relationship, I love APRIL, and I especially love the character designs. Down to the turtles being different species and looking distinct from each other and each having their masks tied in a different way. Just subtle things that are very cool <3

And uh yeah I really like Rise, Donnie's my favorite because he's the funniest man alive but Mikey is close behind.

I need this show unpaused so bad yall don't even know.

Also I cried over the movie when I rewatched it last month. 👍
