Congratulations to Wendy for passing her intake exam (mycoplasma test pending) and being the first of my birds to ever bite the vet for daring to touch her. This child is full on ready to hold her own in a fight. Upon arrival home, she got her last parasite med, and a pretty aqua bracelet to declare her a bird from Longfeather Lane.

i headcanon killer is very annoying to the rest of the gang.
dust rolls his eyes and tries to ignore him. but he wont go away. they bicker a lot
hatch (horror) glares at him. sometimes pushes him around bc hes the tallest so its easy to shove him somewhere else. or he will teleport away.
cross, if he sees killer will try to run off. if killer gets to him he just has this look of "get away"
nightmare just accepts hes annoying

I just noticed Helen sitting and went to go swap the eggs for fakes… apparently I’m much too late. Really cute baby though! And the other baby (gneiss) is doing great!

Since I very sincerely doubt Uther managed to kill ALL the Dragonlords (they're knights, not the KGB, and it was a lot easier to disappear back then) imagine them returning to Albion from Rome or whatever to find Cousin Balinor's only son is ruling Camelot and the Druids, is best friends with an immortal knight and one dude that's been raised from the fucking dead, is bonded to THEE oldest dragon they've ever heard of (and who is also nuttier than squirrel stew) and a semi-feral hatchling that barely listens to four (4) people max and hisses/bites/claws at the rest, and oh yeah, is married to a fucking Pendragon.
Family dinners must be a hoot and a half.
oh to be a fly on the wall when they finally make an audience in Camelot. oh to see Merlin's face morph from apprehension to wonder to exhaustion to horror because they're telling Arthur everything they know.

Our first tiny, pale egg, vs the hatching eggs we collected this week!
The ladies are starting to strike, so some days we don't get eggs, some days we get a lot. Most of these were from the last 3 days, after almost two weeks of one or two eggs here or there. The last two years they didn't stop laying through winter, but I'm hoping the ladies take a break this time.

ig ill say why i think each character is in nightmares group/bad sanses:
in order
nightmare: hes the leader, he made the group happen. doesnt do much fighting unless necessary
killer: first to join, he saw nightmare and thought this was a great opportunity to do something and no longer be alone with more power. basically the 2nd leader when nm isnt around (the others dont care to listen to him though)
dust: 2nd the join, didnt want to but was basically forced. not a fan of killer or nightmare but likes to have his own room in such a big castle. as much as he doesnt like it, he doesnt wanna go back in case is there is ever a reset.
error: not exactly in the group, never joined, is just a bad guy who helps them sometimes so others assume hes with them. is sort of buddies with nightmare.
horror/hatch: joined for getting things in return, whether thats food, clothes, ect. doesnt live in the castle much, about 50/50 at home and here. is cool with dust but doesnt care for the others
cross: last to "join". was also forced, doesnt like to be there. keeps to himself a lot, gets annoyed easily. chara isnt with him, does like having his own room and can eat basically whenever and likes not being in a void. isnt a bad guy just cant leave this group bc of his contract with nightmare

Anyways do you think the Anadi lay eggs. I want to say no because it makes my life easier. They have live birth like humans since they can change shape into humans. however:
- their main/true form is a medium sized spider
- the hybrid form is as something that takes (I think. I'm not checking) level 5 to get. It is mechanically speaking not something all Anadi have (though judging off art/official stat blocks that's hard to tell...)
It would make sense if they laid eggs to avoid any stress on the body. I however hate it.

Last spring, a friend of a friend visited my office and invited me to Langley to speak to Invisible Ink, the CIA’s creative writing group.
I asked Vivian (not her real name) what she wanted me to talk about.
She said that the topic of the talk was entirely up to me.
I asked what level the writers in the group were.
She said the group had writers of all levels.
I asked what the speaking fee was.
She said that as far as she knew, there was no speaking fee.
I dwelled a little on this point.
She confirmed that there was no speaking fee.
When an organization has, say, financed the overthrow of the government of Guatemala, you would think there might be a speaking fee. But I was told that, in lieu of payment, the writing group would take me out to lunch in the executive dining room afterward. I would also have my picture taken in front of the CIA seal, and I could post that picture anywhere I wanted.
“So my visit wouldn’t be classified?”
