hello I am so curious about all of the WIPs but I'd love to hear more about Wout and About - being bratty on the bus <3

Sooooo way back when I was the world's most devoted shipper of Julian Alaphilippe/Tim Declercq (which I still am, even though they're on different teams now. There are like ten or so pictures of them where neither of them Julian is making a face.) but this was obviously not going to be a pairing which Took Off 😭. Reading other people's work (back when we had at most one fic a month) got me vaguely into the possibility of Wout/Mathieu, and I had a tentative go at writing them as the B Couple in a Julian/Tim fic (one of the others on the list), but then I saw them actually racing, and how could anyone not love Wout!! And despite how much this season is affecting their rivalry (also the media being constantly all, Wout Is So Useless), he and Mathieu will be linked forever in rl, let alone in fanfiction land. And whilst I think real Mathieu is way more 'no thoughts head empty' than my version of him, he's just so narratively honed that it's almost unrealistic he actually exists. He's just the perfect shape to project almost anything onto.

Then I had a just super pornographic dream about them, and thought, well, I don't even have to edit this, beyond removing Guillaume Martin (who was wandering around entirely bored by sub!Wout kissing dom!Mathieu's feet... I keep writing GM into the corners of things I shall never publish, knowing this will make no one laugh but me, but whatever shenanigans are going on with the main couple, he'll just be around and so wearily disinterested in their love life.)

But in this random bit of porn they were using hand gestures to continuously convey consent, and I couldn't help but wonder why. So I started a prequel to answer a question no one but me had, which is what Feeling bratty on the bus is.

The plot, such as it is, is Wout is grumbling on the team bus that sometimes he wants to push back against what Mathieu tells him to do for a while but does still ultimately want to be obedient, only Mathieu always halts procedings because he doesn't want to do anything Wout's not enthusiastically consenting to. Sepp Kuss (That's me, putting the dom into domestique! which I still think is one of the funniest lines I have ever written) then gives him a lecture about how it's okay to be a bratty sub, but Wout needs to explain this to Mathieu, as clearly neither of them have done any research. He attempts to give some examples from his own entirely offscreen relationship with Brandon McNulty (I'm still convinced this is a ship which has potential, but I do Not know enough about either of them to write it), but Wout is Inspired, and runs off to message Mathieu.

Mathieu does some research before the bus gets to the hotel (why is he there? Reasons! Why is he suddenly such a fast reader? Well he can read, he just doesn't!) and they go up to the hotel room, where Wout freaks out at being emotionally vulnerable. Mathieu tells him it'll be fine, even if Wout doesn't know how to say any of the above out loud, and that all Wout needs to do is find a way to let him know he's still super into what they're doing. Hence, the hand gestures. They then cuddle, and Wout takes a nap, exhausted by Having Had Feelings.

It's basically done, but also probably the least sexy BDSM-adjacent fic ever written (I don't think they even talk about sex, apart from in the vaguest terms). So I'm just not sure the world has any need for it, but sometimes I have an urgent need to read, Wout Was Having A Difficult Moment But Then Cuddles, hence why it's still sat there <3

My opinions on why I stop watching and reading rent a girlfriend and talking about self and body image

As you can observe on what I encircle, not only Kazuya only likes cute girls but also boys in the background in both anime and manga are always in every episode commented on the four main girls on having cute appearances, sexy body, etc.

This really pissed me off cause men prefer this kind of girls because of the outside and doesn't care about the inside of them. In reality, however, lots of men keep cheating on women who are not that attractive at all and fat shaming them as evidence in this one fanfic I found in wattpad (side note: this is not about rent a girlfriend):

And honestly, it really makes me rage because of this kind of behavior and look at these pictures I screenshot on why this series is excruciating:

1. Those boys in the background are refering to Chizuru

2. They comment on Sumi

3. These boys are eyeing on both Chizuru and Ruka ( and I am the girl in the background)

4. This manga panel makes me barf (plus they look on her boobs and legs and an older man too?! EWWWWWWW!)

5. You get my point 😑😑😑

And goes on and on and on. I can't like list them all cause this is going to be sooooo long.

The pictures I put is the reason why I don't like this anime anymore. The boys conpletely just care about the appearances and it is unfair and to make it worst, they just call Kazuya an unfitted boyfriend because of his appearance?!, HUH?!

I have never been this dissapointed in my life and I think I can wish that this anime is done.

The girls watching this anime are going to experience self image and body image issues which is I am going to talk about next

Self image is an “internal dictionary” that describes the characteristics of the self, including such things as intelligent, beautiful, ugly, talented, selfish, and kind while body image is a combination of the thoughts and feelings that you have about your body.

Studies show that negative thinking and feelings is that once people start to focus on shortcomings or problems in one area or one situation, it becomes very easy to only see problems in many other areas or situations. Negative thinking has a way of leading to more negative thinking.

When I saw the boys in the series focus on the four main girls, specifically Chizuru, I can't help but think on how girls watching this would be jealous cause she attracts lots and lots of men and going to think about their own appearances on how they look. Plus, the biggest is their characteristic. While boys care about their appearance on the outside and don't care about the inside

This series isn't the only one that has kinds of boys in the background crushing on cute girls. I did saw some reaction posts from that one episode of Yugioh Gx that the male students of duel academy (also Syrus) cheering on DMG cause she's cute and criticizing Jaden for letting her lose and the reaction of it is fantastic. I really like how he criticize the fans of their obssesion with her and also telling to shut up about it. But DMG told the boys that she IS having fun, even when she is about to lose. This undestand the boys and I'm glad at that.

Also, there is one horrible thing that girls have to do to get attention from the boys, Photoshop. Because of their insecurities, girls decided to picture themselves and photoshop into cute and sexy girls

One example is that one episode of south park in season 17 entitled " The Hobbit". The plot goes around Wendy Testaburger photoshopping Lisa Burger to spread the word about self and body image but unfortunately, it did not go well. Lisa is widely popular with the boys thanks to the photshopped photo and really angers Wendy cause she just did that for a good cause and many classmates and her friends called her a "jelly" (short term of jealous). Soon, the cheerleaders began photoshopping also and this angers Wendy more cause she wants them to accept their true self and I can't blame her. She did try to go to the news to explain on banning photoshop but the news anchors keeps saying that she is quote "Jelly". Kanye West tells her a story about the magic of photoshop and Wendy apologizes for her actions. In the end, Wendy photoshop herself while she's crying and I am shocked and saddened. Look at that tear she shred:

Honestly, the ending is awful. They literally make poor Wendy stop spreading the awareness of self and body image. She is just doing that for the good of the society and it really pissed me. I really wish Wendy could someday spread the word of self and body image in the future

Rent a girlfriend has really gotten disgusting and despicable over the chapters. We have Kazuya's pervertness, the girls fighting for Kazuya and mostly, the boys in the background crushing on Chizuru, Mami, Ruka and Sumi and calling Kazuya an ugly boyfriend

In conclusion, I can say that this shoujo anime is the worst. I stopped watching this anime in season 2 and decided to sell the only manga I have in the future for my college fees. If you are going to watch a shoujo anime, you can either watch this or not, its your opinion. When I saw videos on why this series is so bad, I can't blame them. So I hope I don't get hate and if you are a fan of this anime, I won't budge or judge you.

Don’t get into a spaceship with a madman

it's "journey to the centre of the Tardis" time. and they are indeed journeying to the centre of the Tardis. and there is... things. this episode feels a bit like this season's "Shakespeare Code" in that because it's promising so much, its flaws stick out more to me

Actually maybe "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" is this season's "Shakespeare Code," because they both suck when they shouldn't and this episode is definitely better than that! at times it's even great! and also the Tardis is my beloved of all time of course

but let's not beat around the bush, what am I even talking about with all this cryptic so-and-so... well..... you know when you've got an episode of science fiction that should be iconic, but has three Black working-class South London accented small-time crooks and 90% of their portrayal is as casually cruel and somewhat dim? .... ah

sexism rank objectification (female character is ogled/harassed/turned into a sex joke by the doctor and/or a lead we’re supposed to root for and/or the camera): 7/10

sexism rank plot-point (lead female character is only there to serve plot, not to have her emotional interiority explored, or given agency to her emotional interiority): 3/10

interesting complex or pointlessly complex (does the complexity serve the narrative or does it just serve to be confusing as a stand-in for smart, this includes visually): 7/10

furthers character and/or lore and/or plot development (broader question that ties into the previous ones, at least two of these, ideally three should be fulfilled): 6/10

companion matters (the companion doesn’t always have to be there, but if the companion is there, can they function without the doctor– and overall per season how often is the companion the focus or POV of the story): 5/10

the doctor is more than just “godlike” (examines the doctor’s flaws and limitations, doesn’t solve a plot by having it revolve entirely around the doctor’s existence): 7/10

doesn’t look down on previous doctor who (by erasing or mocking its importance, by redoing and “bettering” previous beloved plotpoints or characters, etc.): 10/10

isn’t trying to insert hamfisted sexiness (m*ffat famously talked a lot about how dw should be sexier multiple times, he sucks at writing it): 9/10

internal world has consistency (characters have backgrounds, feel rooted in a place with other people, generally feel like they have Lives): 7/10

Politics (how conservative is the story): 3/10

FULL RATING: 64/100 (if I can count….)

wow this one is all over the place (see what I mean), the good is great, the bad is... worthy of perusal

OBJECTIFICATION: Clara didn't dress for getting thrown through an angry Tardis to be fair. I think this is one of her most well-known dresses actually, this kind of red one

I'm nitpicking a bit, but I guess I'm just not wowed by the personality-building of a lot of this eras outfits generally. Amy was sexy and young, River is a sexy archeologist, and Clara is cute. I think "mainly just cute" is better than "mainly just sexy" but I think what I'm saying is that a lot of the time their clothes feel just off the fashionable costume rack, rather than an indicator of who they are

there's also a bit at the beginning, where the Doctor is attempting to teach Clara some basic Tardis maneuvering and they have an interaction that goes like this:

Clara: Basic? Cos I’m a girl? The Doctor: No! (grins to himself)

just unnecessary

PLOT-POINT: Sooooo technically Clara learns and goes through so much this episode. It's just a shame that at the end she... forgets it all again/it never happened, so we're basically at square one

COMPLEXITY: this story's complexity is in how it builds Tardis Space, and that's technically the point about internal world, and I think it does so very well! it's hard to talk about the Tardis without concepts bleeding together -- is the Tardis a location, time, lore, story, character? yes

but basically, if there's something I really enjoy in this episode, it's the Tardis space itself, and how that builds the story

future bleeds into past bleeds into space bleeds into the tale that's being told. oh the Tardis

CHARACTERS/LORE/PLOT: again, this suffers from removing Clara's memory at the end, but we do get some tidbits

. the Doctor is sure that whatever is going on, Clara herself is human and the Doctor trusts and wants to protect her

. Clara trusts the Doctor and isn't afraid he's going to get her killed

. the most compelling dynamic is Clara and the Tardis, as they've been quite antagonistic towards one another, and the plot gives the Tardis a whole lot of personality. unclear if the Tardis is happier with Clara off the back of this, but I think she trusts her a tad more

COMPANIONS MATTER: Clara does do things -- mainly survives, which to be honest, is fair enough when you're inside the belly of the beast and she's Very Very angry

I also liked the tidbit about Big Friendly Button

“GODLIKE” DOCTOR: the Doctor knows the Tardis best, so leads the charge and that's fair. the Tardis trips him up a few times as well. not a fan of casual memory erasing. Clara says she doesn't want to forget, I kind of wish there had been more tension around the way the Doctor makes that decision for her (especially considering past forgettings like Jamie and Zoe and Donna) -- this is "just" one day, but it's a day where Clara learnt a lot of important information about the Doctor and, crucially, about herself

PREVIOUS DOCTOR WHO: ohhhh there's so much one can barely even get into it all, echoes of past Doctors, continuity of corridors we saw in Doctor's Wife, rooms mentioned in the past, etcetc. particular enjoyment was hearing Nine's "the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan couldn't get through those doors!"

“SEXINESS”: there's this one bit near the beginning where Clara makes a crack about the Doctor and Tardis relationship being like "you’re like one of those boys who can’t go out until he gets approval from his mum."

I mention it because it's not actually so bad, and maybe even serves as an example of something kind of cheeky, without being very eye-rollery. I'm a nitpicker though, and I want the show to stop framing the Doctor and the Tardis through the lens of a "boy" and his girlfriend/mother and dating

INTERNAL WORLD: back to complexity and references to previous Doctor Who and plotting and the Tardis As Character, of course I love this a whole lot! look at this wonderful machine/being, bask in its hallways and its rooms and its temporal leaks and horrifying burnt flesh beings chasing you! just #bbygirlTardis things

I rated it down a bit, because the other part of the world is our three brothers, who're scavengers who inherited a spaceship from their dad, and they are where this episode suffers. but a lot of this is less to do with their background (which doesn't need to be over-complicated) and more to do with how they're written as informed by that background

POLITICS: THIIIIS is its main.... hmmmmmm. we're introduced to a ship of scavengers, crewed by three Black South Londoners, who break the Tardis and then proceed to moooostly be quite terrible and cowardly. NOW one can be an asshole in a narrative and Black, of course, but it's in the way this episode has placed them. they're in the Tardis, in an iconic narrative setting, three Black working-class men, and throughout the entirety of it their tale is one that struggles to give them any empathy, or at least make them interesting in the way a big villain might

they genuinely are just three brothers, two of whom are so casually cruel that they convinced their amnesiac younger brother who lost his sight in an accident, that he was an android and treated him like shit for "not being human" and that isn't really properly resolved at the end. he still thinks he's an android, because time resets. it doesn't feel like the episode much cares about them beyond the function they serve to piss off the Tardis and set the plot in motion

in all fairness (and why I didn't rate it lower) it does seem to try, in the whole "one of the brothers tries to save the other from death and that's what makes them both die" sequence, but in the end there's much less pathos afforded them than other "types" of characters we've seen like them, who are far more three dimensional. I can argue that three dimensionality got lost in the other part of the plot, but I also don't think it needed to be done this way to begin with

FULL RATING: 64/100 (if I can count….)

ultimately this episode ought to have rated higher, and it's a shame that it didn't, because the good is great + it's the Tardis, and you really want that to be awesome!

thankfully it does well on the Tardis portrayal, although I could always do with it being much much trippier, especially considering she's breaking apart, but on the whole I think it's a good mix -- my one Thing is the choice to have the camera blur every time the burnt beings appear. I'm guessing it's to show there's something "wrong" with them, beyond the... being burnt to a crisp thing, but it makes it annoying to watch in my opinion

the bad is really the season arc, Clara As Mystery before being a person and the ongoing nonsense with the Doctor's Secret Name, and the really bad is the -- I believe -- unconscious racism. someone should have flagged that writing, especially in that episode, for another run-through, because in theory these brothers are quite interesting. we just don't... see the interesting. we just see the casual dumb-witted cruelty for the most part

it's a thing I'm thinking about in terms of how would I recommend things to Black working-class friends of mine (this also somewhat speaking of Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and its misogynoir), when the above is most of their portrayal, but it's an episode about an iconic spaceship that I'm sure any Whovian would love to get their teeth into. you want to rec it, but it's such a shame to disclaim that, in flipping genre TV like this, this kind of portrayal is still common. I'm sure many would just shrug and roll with it (same as I do with casual transphobia and acephobia), but why was it done this way in the first place?

one might argue the characters were written that way before being cast, but that is then one of the maaaany problems (as we know) with "colour blind" casting and tbh it's a weakness in the characters regardless of race and class, this just exacerbates the issues in that writing. the cruelty of them is there to have a reason for the Tardis to get seriously angry, but there were ways of having them take a lot of similar actions, without them feeling so disconnected from the themes of the plot, and so lacking in pathos as characters

Do you have any fav S4 moments. Obvi for me it's the dinner scene moment. They are so funny n obvious 🤣. I loved the scene in the bedroom. The dialog is just so!! I also loved the call back you did to that scene in 🍒 trees.. what are your favs??

tho not my fave season, S4 as a whole makes me so happy to remember cause it was the last time we all live-watched GG together and had an insane time. Waking up at 3am Monday morning, setting up my VPN and my untrustworthy live-stream and screaming with everyone and then screaming some more until like 6am my time on zero sleep........the best times actually 🥹

When S4 was hitting it was HITTING so I deffo have loads but for just my Brio heart yeah obviously the 4x06 Brio shenanigans like everything about that and that live-watch was the best. I remember the spy work we all did with the promo pics and the bathroom break clutch returning and WE WERE RIGHT and how nuts we all went over the domesticity of them eating side by side ahhhh. God I love that convo by the bookshelf it's sooooo good. When The Fingering™ happened and me and @matssonlukas were mid-convo and her stream was like 30 seconds ahead and we were SO UNHINGED! 😂

All of 4x07 including the absolutely ridiculous experience of Amazon dropping it 3 days early so half of us had watched and half got spoiled early and were like WHAT'S HAPPENING (I'm still super bitter that that live-watch of such an incredible episode got stolen from us but hey-ho)

Smurfing! Sexy Pool! The wild Kitchen scene in 4x05! 4x09 boxing SHE KNOWS! Basketball Rio! Rio crying in the club! Ponytail! I told you didn't need him! He's in our way! YOU GOT IT BOSS 😭

Okay I do need to ask about the Hospital Scene because A+ seriously <3

Haha, thanks, friend! 💜💜 and thank you sooooo much for expressing interest in my nonsense, I appreciate it 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Sooooo, the Hospital Scene (I need to come up with a better title before I post it lol) This is one of my favorite Jed & Abbey pictures in the world:

Seriously, look how adorable they are! 💜💜💜💜💜💜 The look on Abbey's face, she's doing her best to stay calm, but she's obviously worried, the position of her body, the way she's hugging Jed, making sure she doesn't hurt him, Jed with his hand on her back, the little hug, he's almost unconscious, but he's still holding on to Abbey... just 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍😍 The scene is obviously from "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen Part 1", because Jed's in pre-op and Abbey's wearing the purple coat (purple coat my beloved 💜💜) so I guess it takes place right after Abbey talks to Doctor Lee ("when all of this is over, tell the press, don't tell the press"--my queen!). Her stage directions from script book for season 1 and 2 read "Abbey looks at him (dr. Lee) a moment longer, then exits into the trauma room to join her husband."

Unfortunately, this photo is everything we've got. The scene can't be found in deleted scenes (like the 'Medea/Jackass' scene), and it's not in the script book (like the 'Mrs. Landingham knew about Jed's MS' scene). So, naturally, I have to write it 😂 What can I tell you about the WIP so far?

It's going to be short

There's going to be a lot of Bartlet fluff & drowsy Bartlet banter (think about "He Shall From Time to Time")

Sorkin was inspired by the assassination attempt on Ronald Reagan, so there are going to be loads of references to Reagan, like "Honey, I forgot to duck", "I hope you are all Democrats", "If I had this much attention in New Hampshire, I’d have stayed there", and "I have to be [a good patient]. My wife's a doctor."

Have a snippet:

“Abbey?” Jed’s eyes fluttered open. “Hey.” Careful not to disturb his wound, Abbey sat on the bed. She took his hand. “I forgot to duck.” “It’s okay, Jed,” she said. "It's okay." “You mad?” “At you? No! At whoever shot you? Damn straight!” Jed managed a weak laugh in response. “I told Zoey you’d be pissed,” he said. “I talked to the doctor and the anesthesiologist.” Abbey brushed his messy hair off his face. “Did you scare ‘em good?” “No.” “Too bad, you’re sexy when you’re scary.”

Because I’m constantly changing my ranking in 911 for that reason like I love everyone so damn much and I’m constantly switching depending on the season making me focus my love more on certain characters so I’m wondering if this happens to other people as well lol

it's definitely a I love you but I love blank more situation, they're all sooooo perfect to me (in that they're deeply flawed, real characters) and i love each of them deeply but i'd be lying if i didn't say i had favourites so:

eddie diaz - are we surprised? he's my number one. he's literally everything to me. there isn't a character like him in existence. best dad in the world because he's made mistakes and he's learning as he goes but he loves christopher with literally everything he has. petty little bitch who is actually the kindest most compassionate guy out there. friend of lesbians and women everywhere (unless they're a morally bankrupt reporter). i could go on but then this would possibly be the longest ask i've ever posted and also i would get no more work done today.

chimney han - VERY close between him and number 3 and also VERY close between him and number one to be honest. he's my favourite little guy. honestly more babygirl than eddie to me sorry. second best dad in the world (ONLY because he hasn't been doing it as long as eddie). ultimate wifeguy, real simp. rebar AND lady magnet. karaoke king. just. HE'S THE HEART OF THE 118!!!!!!!!!!!

henrietta wilson - LOVE OF MY LIFE! she has never done anything wrong in her life ever (and by this i mean that of course she has but she learns from it). the hen and her mom storyline in suspicion is literally one of my favourite things the show ever did because although i'm not a woman of colour i am a woman who never would have got diagnosed if it weren't for my mum there to advocate for me every step of the way. also an ultimate wifeguy.

bobby nash - HE'S MY DAD BOOGIE WOOGIE WOOGIE! no he's everyone's dad. never been happier for a character to be so severely wrong as i was when he said the 118 wasn't a family, sealed his fate, dear dumb dad. literally what can i say about him? i LOVE it when characters have to unlearn their grief and learn how to open up to the world again - he's my number one.

athena grant - loses points for copaganda but mother! she's just so uhhhhhhh. idk. i look at angela bassett and my brain stops working. she's just. so full of love. but also she gets angry. and she's protective of her family. and fjfhgskgbjktg.

maddie buckley - honestly love her so much especially in the earlier seasons but i feel like season 6 lost her a little bit. but yeah she's my pookie bear. no but fr such a beautifully complex character. i LOVE her SO much.

evan buckley - sir your sad eyes, abandonment issues and dog motif are very sexy god bless you just do not have that jenny say quack the rest of these guys do. To Me. if i knew you in real life, i would despise you probably sorry :/ but i love your extensive amount of issues <3

i feel like people either make sirius too sweet and understanding or a huge cunt that has like hardly any empathy which are both incorrect to me!! the first one is more modern fics and the second is is the trend in the 2000s. to me sirius is extremely caring and loyal and will believe those he loves over all else. he also struggles to see the consequences to his own actions for sure and is impulsive but i don’t think he’s cruel. often like post prank in early 2000s fics it has sirius just not? apologising? or barely apologising? and remus just allowing that. i think (remus thoughts gear up) after the prank this is remus’s big break to be mad and stay mad for a while at sirius. he has justification, sirius has gone too far this time and he can use his morally superior my-life-is-horrible complex which is sooooo sexy of him. as he should.

It’s me, the dream girl😭😂 thank you for entertaining my nonsense. I promise these dreams just happen??? Like I think I’ve read too much fan fiction before bed so they’re kind of seeping into my dreams.

Like just last night, I dreamt I was Namjoon’s sister and his girlfriend and her sister were trying to cause issues between us? Like to the point where I pushed her sister out of the car? The car that Namjoon was driving??? And he had to turn around because he only noticed at the bottom of the street that she wasn’t in the car, idk.

And then he dropped me off at this delinquent residence where kids who bunked school went to and I can’t remember what happened after that. (Being a school kid is wearing for me because I haven’t been one in YEARS)

I SWEAR I have these dreams… I don’t control them or make them up lmao

Anyway, I promised you my Yoongi dream. I’m so glad I wrote it down because I would’ve forgotten it by now😭😭

So anyway, I attend this High Tea event with two of my friends (who aren’t even my friends IRL anymore) and we’re sitting there and eating and making light conversation with the other guests at our table.

Suddenly I get this voice message like in my ear piece?? Mans is wearing a suit and bow tie looking fine af and he looks behind him to this guy wearing a suit with a cape and cane?? Very mafia looking I guess? So he turns to me and does that head motion thingy that universally signals “let’s get out of here” and I get up and follow him out of the venue but we get to the foyer and he looks at me and grabs my hand and we make a run for it (why were we running??? Nobody was chasing us just yet)

I guess the running made them suspicious and there’s an armed someone outside who points his gun in the air and shoots and Yoongs shoved me into his chest and we do a tuck and roll and I think my brain got a fright because I woke up here so idk whether Yoongs and I fought the armed someone you’re gonna have to ask multiverse me😔

Toku anon: (watches the Cravity trailer) the vibes of this comeback, it's sounds like a great way to start off the spring. Gonna mark March 6th on my calendar. I wonder if this might hint at some of the members participating in the song production a little more? I'm looking forward to it!

As for Nakayama Satsuki: he's a relatively-new actor (1998-line, I think) who played a pretty major role in the 2019-2020 Kamen Rider series. He's also transmasc and ace.

Unfortunately, there's still a long way to go in terms of queer rep in Japan. Even in toku, some writers and staff aren't quite as accepting as others. So you end up with a show where the actors are all saying "yeah this character isn't straight/cis" or a writer will try their best to get the point across, but won't actually be able to say it directly in the show.

So this was a bit of a big deal, since Satsuki (who had just come out as NB and ace before joining the show) might be one of the first toku actors to be out while on that series.

The character he plays is also nonbinary: Naki. Now, at first glance there are a couple issues. This particular season is about advanced androids, and Naki... is one of them. However, Naki is one of the most advanced out of them in terms of figuring themselves out, having dreams, and not wanting to be seen as a tool. Moreover, in a world where most of the other main AI stick to a binary look, Naki chooses to live as a nonbinary being.

(Also Naki eventually gets an epic supersuit and beats up their evil capitalist former boss.)

Going back to a behind-the-scenes perspective, the show producer (as well as Nakayama) both clearly confirm that the character is nonbinary. Moreover, the character is really popular among fans. And although it's still a bit too early to say, it seems like Nakayama himself has been having a steady acting career since then, and is on good terms with his former cast-members too!

I just think it's kind of heartwarming. He's been really open about how he feels about gender, and I hope he continues to do well!
