I hated trying to put the confusing things I felt into plain language. I hated trying to be understood, hated it so much I’d given up on it for years.

[Book Two of Three]
Story: 4 out of 5 Smut: 3 out of 5
Holy hell! What a wild ride Juniper and Zane put us through. I honestly thought this book was gonna be half of what we found out in book one and half of this mortal/demon couple figuring their shit out now that Juni’s deal had been completed. But nope. I was wrong. The entire book was just filling in the blanks of what we already knew- and I am so glad we got those details!
Juniper, for me, was a little hard to like just because she was such a b-tch. Then again, almost being sacrificed and hunted would do that to a person.
Enter Zane who’s been craving her soul for years, and who will do strike whatever deal to get it, and it makes one twisted and delicious story.
I LOVED reading the downfall of the Hadleigh’s almost as much as I loved reading as Zane brought down Juniper’s walls piece by piece.
On a side note, did anyone else want to attend that demon party as well? Lol.
Now here are my rambling thoughts...
*Of course Juniper was befriended by Victoria and Jeremiah. Ugh. I bet that betrayal stung. I’m so glad she got her revenge in book one, though I’m excited to hopefully read the details of all that went down here in book two.
* Holy shit. Victoria really gave her friend acid and then sacrificed her. SHE WAS ONLY FIFTEEN!! Now what I wanna know is how the hell Juniper got out of that mine shaft 😬
* Damn. She escaped and tried to kill Victoria. Good for her. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, but they did lock her up for three years because they thought she was delusional. And now she’s out.
* Lol only Zane would laugh at being shot and think Juniper is being flirty.
* Hot damn. Zane fucking Juniper on the forest floor. Loved it. But of course it was ruined when Juniper saw what Zane really was.
* Aw man. Juniper got the text of her brother’s murder. And now it’s back to Abelaum we go.
* Damn. She saw Leon take her brother’s body from the grave. I don’t know how she remained quiet.
* Zane would be turned on by getting stabbed 😂
* Dammnnnnn. Zane claiming Juniper’s soul, fucking her throat, and then pinning her to the tree..? Fuck, I want a demon now 😏
* Aww he bathed her.
* lol Juniper stabbed him. Again.
* Goddamn. What is it with guns going into no-no areas 😂
* Holy shit. They went and retrieved Marcus’ body. And were attacked 😬
* Juniper is really annoying me. I get it’s your brother, but those monsters outnumbered you greatly… and you still ran into the middle of them to fight for a corpse that was already half eaten? I hope Zane punishes you.
* So… Heidi helped her out of the mine shaft? Wtf. Why?
* Ouch lol. Zane did not have a good first meeting with Callum lol. Such a protective Archdemon.
* “I don’t fuck around when I find something I want.” // “But you already have me.” // “Body and soul. But I decided I want something else too.” He laid his hand around my neck, and pressed his thumb against my pulse. “That right there. I want that next.”
* Wow. She bound and gagged him, and rode his cock while carving her name into his flesh. I love these kinky fucks.
* Zane is my fucking spirit animal! Tripping children who annoy him in the store..? Yess! 😂
* “Fuck, I’d look hot as hell in this. And I’d still dick you down good. Demon maid at your service.” — 😂 omfg.
* Yesssss. Fucking Kent got what he deserved.
* Demon party. Hell yes.
* And now Juniper has Zane’s metal. I fucking love how demons give metal to show their love, loyalty, and devotion to a person.
* Goddamn. Jeremiah is ruthless. I know he killed his sister, but to read about how he snatched her off the street and everything… yikes.
* Damn, Zane. You really ripped through J’s little cult like it was nothing 😏
* Oh shit. Jeremiah/The Deep One really fucked up Zane. I knew it was going to end well, but I hate seeing the close calls. My poor baby demon 😩

Book Blurb:
Juniper After a cult tried to sacrifice me to their wicked God, I went on the run, doing whatever was necessary to survive. Until a demon offered me a deal: give him my soul and he'll help me claim the vengeance I seek. Blood will be spilled, and the monsters I once ran from will soon be running from me. But damning my soul was just the beginning - it's my heart the demon wants next.
Zane I've been hunting souls for centuries, but she's the ultimate prize - vicious and feral, with a broken soul as dark as my own. I thought claiming her would be a simple game, but Juniper is far from simple. I chose to follow her on a path drenched with the blood of her enemies, but it's our blood that may be spilled next. As an ancient God wakes from Its slumber, neither of us may survive.
Her Soul for Revenge is book 2 in the Souls Trilogy. Although all the books are interconnected, they are stand-alone and can be read in any order.
Content Note This book contains sexual scenes, kink/fetish content, horror elements, drug use, scenes of trauma, anxiety, and PTSD, and depictions of "hard" kink/edgeplay. A complete CW can be found in the frontmatter of the book.
Review:
After escaping and surviving a cult trying to kill her, Juniper wants one thing and one thing only, and thats revenge, and if that means selling her soul to a vicious demon who might want more than just her soul, then so be it, but there will be hell to pay. Juniper was kidnapped by a cult and was meant to be sacrificed to their God but she escaped, three years later a demon comes before her making her an offer: he'll help her get her revenge in exchange for her soul and her body. Juniper doesn't even bat an eye, she'll do anything to get revenge, she'll kill everyone on her list and destroy those who tried to destroy her. Zane is a demon who hunts souls, he collects them, and when he finds an interesting one he doesn't let go, so when he finds Juniper's soul, he is immediately interested in the girl who escaped the cult. Zane knows Juniper isn't simple, no, she is bloody, vicious, and a wolf who will tear apart anyone who gets in her path. She is everything he could ever want, so he makes her an offer: her soul and body in exchange for his help, but what he's beginning to realize is that he wants more than that, he wants her heart... and what his little wolf wants she'll get and he'll do anything to make sure she gets what she wants. Juniper is a survivor, I loved her immediately. She is hellbent on getting revenge, she's strong, she's determined, and she is everything. I love how much Zane took care of her, he couldn't help it. Zane is so soft for her and wants to help her in anyway he can and that was just so sweet. I am a sucker for a revenge story and Juniper's was a great one!

i find that if you fill up your mind and time with three or four books, you don’t think as much about the last one that ripped you in pieces and put you back together again…. except that that is a dirty lie and I still think too much about Crooked Kingdom and Kanej and i’m spiraling. help

He’d wanted me to suffer for his God, he’d wanted to take my life away. But he didn’t get my life, and he wouldn’t get my suffering for even another moment. Before he died, he’d only see me in joy. He’d only see me in pleasure. I’d given his God enough of my pain.
• 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 4.8★ • 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆: 5★ • 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: THIS BOOK THOUGH. I cannot get over Juni. I love a strong, badass female character and that's exactly what we get. What a fucking legend. The fact that she is being hunted by a cult, eldbeasts, and other supernatural creatures, and still always survives?? Iconic. The journey that Juni goes through, being afraid but still trying to work through it to take her life back from these people who stole it away, is so inspiring. The moments where she really gets vulnerable and starts to doubt herself are very raw and understandable, and they make you cheer that much more when she pushes back and says "no, they don't get to win." There will be no scene more iconic than Kent Hadleigh's death. Zane is also a badass bitch and funny as hell, what more could you ask for? It was super fun to get to see more of the demonic powers displayed in this book, and the way his power grows throughout the story is also fascinating. I love his love for Juni, that he's so enamored with her and proud of her. That he doesn't ridicule her for her few breakdowns and is always building her up. I also love love love that he doesn't try to tell her to stay back and let him handle shit ( minus that one, very understandable time where she ended up saving the day like a queen anyway ). Also they were just super hot together?? A couple that plans mass murder together, stays together. Also I love that you get a little bit of Leon and Zane in there, and that he still thinks about him and cares for him. It was just super cute. Lastly, this world overall just fascinates me. I think the world building Harley does in this series is just fantastic. The descriptions of the monsters, the demons, the witches, the God. The scene where Jeremiah gets possessed and is bent over backwards gave me the creeps in the best way possible. I love that all the monsters also look different in different parts of the world. Such a small detail, but I loved it. I can't wait for the final book to come out to get to see what exactly the witches can do. I think Everly's story will be just as amazing as Rae and Juni's. I'm so excited!         He’d wanted me to suffer for his God, he’d wanted to take my life away. But he didn’t get my life, and he wouldn’t get my suffering for even another moment. Before he died, he’d only see me in joy. He’d only see me in pleasure. I’d given his God enough of my pain.

Summary: Juniper Kynes had a purpose: to be sacrificed to an ancient God. But she escaped it, and she refuses to be dragged back without a fight. She survives, fighting on her own against monsters until the death of her brother draws her back to the scene of her own crime.
When she's offered a deal, her body and her soul for the revenge she so desperately seeks, how can she refuse it?
Zane has been hunting souls for centuries, gathering deals wherever he goes. When he's offered one a little over his head, he finds it too hard to resist. Why is it that suddenly, a body and a soul isn't enough?
He wants her heart and he'll stop at nothing to get it... unless she gets them both killed first.
~~ SPOILERS AHEAD ~~
What I Loved:
The kink in this book is out of control. It touches what the first book offered and pushes it to the extreme.
Knife play, gun play, there may even be a little sexy stabbing. You can do that when you're immortal.
The book covers the same events as the first does, but from a different side of the story. They are interwoven wonderfully and can be enjoyed in any order, or you can pick one. Knowing the ending doesn't detract - instead each books fills in the blanks of the other and answers questions that were left.
Juniper is hardened, Zane is a bit more carefree. The characters are their own, different enough to be distinct from the couple in the first book.
Things That Could Have Been Better:
I'm making myself find a gripe with every book whether I want to or not.
Early on its established that Zane is a very experienced soul hunter, and that he finds the broken souls most interesting and fun. The author seemed to feel the need to re-establish this in several of his POVs near the beginning of the book, and it got repetative.

Her Soul For Revenge
I finally finished this book. Life has just been busy with school, the school groups, and work in addition to the holiday gatherings. Ugh.
But finally made time and finished it! And wow!
*Spoilers*
I will agree with others that this second book in the trilogy is better than the first. A lot more gore, creepy monsters, and smut. It adds more context to everything that happened in the first book.
I really love Juniper; while I think I relate more with Raelynn, there were aspects of Juniper I identified with.
I also liked Zane more than Leon. He seemed more in touch with his sensitive side and knew what he wanted. And I liked that.
I have a better understanding of why the author chose the direction she did with the ending and can appreciate the first book a little more.
There were some things I wasn't a fan of. I like smut, but I found myself skipping some of it because sometimes it felt like it was just tossed in.
Also, the whole demon orgy and piercing scene just felt weird and out of place. It felt like a filler episode in a anime where it adds some context to the characters but does nothing for the storyline. Honestly could've done without.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'm excited to read Everly and Callum's side of things in the third book.
