Ian and anthony are both very obviously in love and the whole smoffice knows it, but them lmao! I'd love this fic to be just text messages or slack posts or sth, where the cast and crew report of sightings of Ian and anthony doing very ianthony stuff and not realize it themselves. Maybe they come up w a way to show or nudge them in the right direction? But Ian and Anthony will still make it a bro moment (broment) bc they think the other one just wants to be bros LMAO ~ Japhan2024 💖

im going to wrack my brain for my favorite moments lolol I hope you enjoy!

(mid writing note: i first wrote basically all texts but it wasn't quite flowing the way i wanted it to so now there's a little more prose lol. this also taught me i do NOT know enough crew members' names)

It took Erin less than ten minutes to create The Group Chat following the slapping video caress incident.

Erin: "okay so what the fuck"

Tommy: "i'm beside myself."

Angela: "SO WE'RE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT"

It began, and all hell broke loose from there.

Most of the cast and crew didn't know Anthony too well when he first returned, but everyone could tell Ian began to positively glow once he came back. It had started mostly with little under-the-breath comments about how big Ian had smiled at something Anthony did, or shared glances after they looked lost in each other's worlds. It's not that everyone wanted to speculate about their bosses, but rather that their bosses were practically giving them no choice.

The real watershed moment was the birth of The Group Chat, which finally provided an outlet for all ianthony incidents witnessed by the cast and crew.

As the incidents kept piling up, a plot began to form. Maybe Anthony and Ian were just so oblivious that they all needed to adopt a certain 'push-comes-to-shove' mentality, and do what had to be done. Everyone agreed, they had to find a way to put them in such a charged situation that this would all finally boil over, and the astounding tension that had plagued the office would be resolved. The ultimate achievement of this long-weary Group Chat.

Erin: "okay so one more time. everyone has talked with HR, yes? and everyone slated for the vid is comfortable with the concept of spin the bottle"

Picked up my hold from the library and I handed over my metro pass instead of my library card, so I apologized and gave them the right one saying “they’re both pride themed so I get confused haha” and then as I was leaving the librarian said “oh by the way you don’t have to use your legal name in our system, we can change it if you’d like” which was very sweet and made my day because I’m so used to ppl assuming I’m just a cis girl “tomboy” and not nonbinary. It’s been a few years now, so it’s probably safe to say this.

VLD discourse seems to love focusing on Shiro, Keith, and Lance, but this little essay is not about any of them. 

This essay is about Matt, and how y’all seem to have never realized just what a gold mine Matt’s canon is for every funny and weird thing you could possibly think up. Specifically, I want all the fandom to think hard about these canon facts:

1) Matt is maybe nineteen when the Kerberos mission goes south. He appears in all respects to be a pretty normal nineteen year old cis guy. Hormone-wise, I mean.

2) Given his overt flirtations with Allura, he’s at most bisexual. (Not gay, but maybe more than het.) He’s also clearly perfectly okay with coming on to other species, ‘cos there’s not a moment’s hesitation there. 

3) Matt was the Only Human In His Part Of The Universe from the time he got separated from the rest of the crew until Pidge found him. YEARS LATER. And even after she found him, he was still usually the Only Human in his part of the universe - it was just that now he also knew where some other humans were in relation to himself.

4) Matt is a Holt. That means he has a mind so wide open you could fit three football fields and a four-department-store mall in it, and he’s not afraid to experiment.

Please. Take a moment to put these four easily observable canon notes together in your brain. Go on. I’ll wait. Then go ahead and let Matt get up to every single “dude were you stoned?” “Not on purpose” bit of space shenanigans you can think of. I would love to see these fics:

* That time Matt got caught jacking off by some of the crew he was flying with, had to explain what exactly he was doing, came up with some really wild shit like ‘no really human males have to do this or we get sick’ or some such BS, and for the next four months had crew members offering to help him or telling him the ship’s clock had informed them that it had been more than x vargas since he’d last jacked off, he’d better go do that.

* That time Matt wound up in a space bar, couldn’t read ANY of the signs, picked a drink at random, and two days later had to be rescued by his crew and given a surgical abortion because some other species found him while he was blacked out and implanted eggs in his intestinal wall. Which, to his surprise, he both remembered and didn’t mind.

* That time a semi-gelatinous life form decided that Matt’s ejaculate was tasty and nutritious and therefore almost kidnapped him from the crew he was serving with. And his captain then had a Talk with him about Certain Species Protocols.

* That time after Pidge found him again and one of Matt’s crew innocently asked her while she was visiting if she would require help with her sex drive, and she spent an hour running down just where that question had come from.

* The bit where Pidge finds out that a lot of species’ reactions to Matt have been mirror images of his reactions to them - i.e. human is interestingly exotic and this looks fun, why not try something? And Pidge has to decide whether it’s better to blackmail her brother or just straight up tell their mother when the opportunity offers. Decisions, decisions. 

* The bit where Matt and his portion of the Resistance tag along with Voltron for a while and Pidge is stunned at how many alien languages Matt can now read, until one of his crew mentions that time with the ovipositor and the drinks menu and that Matt learned to be a polyglot out of self defense.

Andy Warhol ken ik al een groot deel van mijn leven. Jean-Michel Basquiat ontdekte ik pas een paar jaar geleden. Sindsdien ben ik een groot fan van zijn werk. Van 1983 tot 1985 blijken beide kunstenaars nauw te hebben samengewerkt. Basquiat beweerde een miljoen schilderijen met Warhol samen te hebben gemaakt. Dat was lichtelijk overdreven. Het waren er in werkelijkheid zo’n honderdzestig. Beide kunstenaars werden in oktober 1982 aan elkaar voorgesteld door galeriehouder Bruno Bishofberger, die hen beiden representeerde. Ondanks het leeftijdsverschil klikte het meteen tussen de twee. Aanvankelijk werkten ze samen met Francesco Clemente, later zetten de twee hun samenwerking voort. De samenwerking tussen Warhol, Basquiat en Clemente leverde zo’n vijftien schilderijen op. De werken werden van studio naar studio vervoerd en elke kunstenaar voegde elementen toe, waarbij ieders eigen stijl zichtbaar bleef.

Warhol en Basquiat maakten verschillende portretten van elkaar, zoals Brown Spot (Portrait of Andy Warhol as a banana) en Jean-Michel Basquiat (in de pose van Michelangelo’s David). Toen Bishofberger de twee kunstenaars aan elkaar had voorgesteld, vroeg Basquiat hem om een foto van hem en Warhol te maken. Basquiat vertrok en twee uur later bracht zijn assistent het schilderij Dos Cabezas naar Warhol’s Factory. Hierop riep Warhol uit: “Oh, I’m so jealous! He’s faster than me.””

Een fraai voorbeeld van de samenwerking tussen Warhol en Basquiat is China Paramount.  Het door Warhol toegevoegde logo van Paramount Pictures staat voor de Amerikaanse filmindustrie, maar is ook een eerbetoon aan zijn toenmalige levenspartner Jon Gold, die bij het bedrijf werkte. Ronald Reagan, de acteur die president werd, propageerde in de jaren tachtig van de vorige eeuw goede handelsrelaties met China. Hieraan ontleent het werk zijn naam. Basquiats zwarte figuren geven aan dat de Afro-Amerikaanse bevolking niet meedeelt in de groeiende welvaart van de jaren tachtig.

Basquiats aandacht voor zijn Afrikaanse roots komt ook tot uiting in het meterslange werk Afrikan Masks. Warhol schreef hierover in zijn dagboek: “We painted an African masterpiece together. One hundred feet long. He’s better than I am, though” (29 mei 1984).

Taxi, 45th/Broadway geeft een autobiografische scène uit Basquiats leven weer. Toen hij een taxi wilde aanhouden, kreeg hij alleen maar beledigingen toegeschreeuwd. Kunstenaar Keith Haring, een vriend van Basquiat, zei hierover: “”Being black and a kid and having dreadlocks, he couldn’t even get a taxi. But he could spend $ 10,000 in his pocket.”

De tentoonstelling Jean-Michel Basquiat x Andy Warhol, Painting Four Hands is een grote tentoonstelling. Wat de vele werken vooral laten zien is het enthousiasme waarmee ze zijn gemaakt, de wederzijdse onderlinge inspiratie. De kunstscène in New York in de jaren tachtig was een bruisende creatieve smeltkroes.

I'm watching the end of season 3 and Elliot and JD together are so fucking toxic they're so bad for each other I'm going rabid i hate them so much. And they're not even fun toxic like Jordan and Perry.

And then. Elliot shows up to help Carla get ready for the wedding in a pink off the shoulder shirt with a rainbow on it over a black bra with her hair all curled talking about how she doesn't always enjoy having sex with men and like. She is so clearly gay.

She dates the guys she does in the beginning because of comp-het. I think. At some point during her relationship with Sean she realizes that she's only dating him because she doesn't want to be alone and she thinks she's supposed to be with a guy. She also has a ~dream~ about Jordan and/or that hot new surgeon lady which is hotter than anything she's ever done with any guy.

Anyway Elliot is a lesbian and maybe she ends up with Danni but like original Danni not rebranded toxic Danni. Definitely not Sean. He irks me. And they have no chemistry and. God lesbian Elliot would be everything.

At this point I'm convinced you just scuttled out of my brain and somehow gained sentience bc BRUH I BEEN SAYIN

1) I'm not gonna lie, I liked JD and Elliot in the beginning in like a "Oh they're kinda cute" and I will even tolerate them up until this point in season 3, where she leaves Sean FOR JD after making Sean uproot his life for her and then JD decides he doesn't want her anymore. The only thing that makes me angrier is when he decides he does want her in My Cold Shower. I rage. Partially bc YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING IDIOT, JD and partially bc I really do like Keith.

2) In reading your second paragraph I'm like "oh yeah it's that comp-het AND THEN YOU SAID THAT so further evidence that you're one of my little brain bugs (loving term of endearment)

But yeah no, Elliot is an extremely repressed lesbian who doesn't figure it out until she's late twenties/early thirties. Which is incredibly valid (I didn't know I was bi until I was in my 2nd year of college), but you don't come from a wealthy Connecticut background without being a lot repressed. And I have quite literally never entertained the idea of Elliot and Danni bc they ruined Danni beyond recognition, but it would be the largest of pain points for Perry that his ex-wife's sister is dating /Barbie/. That makes them slightly more connected than just coworkers. Maybe. Sort of.

But also I can't decide if Carla is also a lesbian (she's with Jordan don't look at me] or if she's bi or pan. This was not meant to be a breakdown of all the Scrubs characters' sexual orientations but like. What else are we supposed to do?

Tunnel Burggraaf/Landweert, Venray. Diverse tags zijn nu verwijderd. Wel zijn er nieuwe aangebracht. De gemeente gedoogt graffiti in de tunnel. Gelukkig wordt er nooit schoongemaakt. Keith Haring werd overschat, de tunnel van Burggraaf juist niet. Geen van de graffitikunstenaars die er werken sprak ik ooit. Voortvluchtige verdachte overgedragen door de Franse autoriteiten

De LP van de Week was deze uitzending een album dat 40 jaar oud was: The Works van Queen. Ondanks dat het niet bekendstaat als één van hun beste albums, kreeg ik er wel zoveel verzoekjes voor nummers, dat ik er uiteindelijk 6 nummers van heb gedraaid. Ook een 40 jarig jubileum viert de satirische muziekfilm 'This Is Spinal Tap', dus die kan niet ontbreken als Filmplaat.
