*kaito is lost in his thoughts as he stares down at his palm, occasionally giving the lines running across it a little poke or letting his finger trail them until it reaches an end. it's not until he realizes a certain someone's beside him that he looks up, a small pout on his usually bright and happy face.

"You'll never guess what I did during lunchtime. One of our senpai wanted to practice a bit because he hasn't read any palms in a long time, so I let him read mine. I never take stock into those kinds of things anyway, so I thought I would do him a favor, or at least waste some time until next class. I should've just ignored him because do you know what he said to me?!" *kaito then gets all grumbly as he looks away and crosses his arms, his pout turning into a huge frown!*

"He said one of my lines told him that I was a bully! A delinquent!! A villain!!! Can you believe that?! Kaito Momota Fulbright, Luminary of the Stars would never stoop so low! Never!! He tried to backpedal and brought up the multiverse theory, saying that maybe another me was some hoodlum, but at that point I got up and left. I wasn't gonna sit there and listen to his slander! Clearly he has something against heroes, that's why his supposed 'talent' is so shady! He doesn't want someone realizing that he's the actual villain!" *kaito is now in a Mood, getting so thoroughly annoyed as he threatens to continue his rant!*

When Shuichi entered the room, he was about to smile and greet: "Hey, Kaito. What's...." Until he saw him trailing a ling across his palm with that pout on his face, making him tilt his head. "...Up? Hm? What's wrong....?" As he goes to sit down next to him, Shuichi silently listens to him explain. He's got a pretty good guess as to who that 'senpai' was... which admittedly, already makes him have a bad feeling about this; so seeing him get even angrier, makes his worried expression grow even more. "I... I see. W-What did he say...?"

Then learning that Yasuhiro claimed that Kaito apparently used to be a 'bully', surprised him. "A.... bully? Delinquent...?" He found that just as hard to believe. The Kaito he knows and loves, would never do the kinds of things a bully would do. He was friendly, motivates, uplifts people... all the things he does for Shuichi. Like the 'hero' that he is; a complete opposite of what a 'villain' would do. "Multiverse theory..." He gives a pondering hum at that. He honestly was not sure what to think of that. In another universe, there exists a Kaito who was a bully....? Even at the possibility the theory could be true, Shuichi did not want to personally believe that, either; partially from finding it hard to really believe in multiverse theories in general, but imagining a world where Kaito was not a good person... he didn't like that.

"Kaito..." Shuichi maneuvers so that's sitting in front of him, so that he can cup Kaito's cheeks in his hands. "Calm down. Deep breaths... he is not a villain, there, but I can understand why his reading upset you. But even if entertaining the idea that you were a "villain" in some other universe... who cares? It does not change the fact that the Kaito of this world, is nothing of the sort. He's a hero would never pick on those weaker than him, nor cause trouble for everyone. Besides, it did not sound like his reading was definite, anyway, so he still could have been wrong. So don't let it get to you...okay?" He leans in to press a soft kiss to his lips, before pulling him into a tight hug and rubbing his back. "You are a good person, Kaito. No amount of theories or readings will ever change that. So don't worry about some hypothetical scenarios. There's only one of you in this world. That's all that matters... and I couldn't be happier to have been born in it. Because you exist..."

He then leans his head back, so that he can give him a warm smile. "...So cheer up, okay...? Don't let him ruin your day. In fact, let's do something fun or go somewhere to help you forget about it. What do you say?"

Ten years.

The first ever Gruvia Week was held in 2013. It is now 2023. Meaning, this is the 11th edition/Gruvia Week... but 10 years have passed since the creation of this blog and beloved event that’s been held on the exact same dates since the beginning (April 1st - April 7th). That’s right, the event date has never changed, never held early, nor late. To keep it this consistent and for so long is truly an accomplishment.

Thank you to all the wonderful fans that have kept this event alive for so long. It has been my pleasure to host this celebration for the last 10 years, and it’s because of you that I do so. All the dedicated Gruvia lovers deserve this. The fandom has changed a lot as time went on. People come and go. However, most notably, we have grown in more ways than one. Likewise, Gray and Juvia have gone through a tremendous amount of development in the last decade. They have confirmed mutual romantic love and a son that we have yet to meet in earthland, but still very much canon in the manga and drawn by the author (Hiro Mashima) of his own accord on multiple occasions. Despite this, we are still waiting for the day they “officially” get together. The setup and foreshadowing is there... He wants it, so Gray, confess to Juvia soon!

In the meantime, we celebrate the ship once again. Here are the official Gruvia Week 2023 prompts displayed in the image above. Just like in previous years these prompts are not complicated, but they are broad and meant to make you think. Be creative. Interpret them however you see fit. If you don’t know what a word means, look it up. Specific and basic prompts would result in different versions/entries of the same thing. Al told Cae that he would give him the herbs he had ordered earlier. They started walking somewhere, and Liz hurried after them.

"Hey, Daicchi?", Spoke Hiro, who was sitting at the edge of the couch while rocking his legs like a bored child.

"Hmm?", hummed Daiya carelessly as a type of response, scrolling through his phone as he took over the whole couch.

"Have you..ever tried jam?"

Daiya paused for a moment then gave Yasuhiro a raised eybrow and a confused look. That really was a weird question to ask even for someone like him.

"Y'know like-..the kind of jam that's made at home? Not the store one??", Hiro tried to explain while waving his hands defensively as if he was attacked by Daiya's response, "You ever tried that?"

"Hmm..", the other roommate surfed through his memories for an answer, "Nah, don't think so".

"..You wanna?" Hiro questioned, although his face was almost begging for a yes.

"Ya know how to make jam?" Daiya asked in a joking tone, though he was in fact surprised by Hiro's knowledge of the topic.

"Well..not really..but i DO remember the way ma used to make it! I sure forget a lot of things but ma's jam recipe ain't one of 'em!!!" Hiro argued. That question really felt underestimating.

"Okay okay, if ya want to then sure, why not?" Daiya said soothingly while getting up, as he noticed that Hiro was getting a tad bit angry.

-And so, they both headed to the kitchen, in an unplanned quest to make a...

"What kind of jam are we meant to make??", Daiya looked at the fridge confusedly, he was not certain where to even start.

"Pretty sure we got some apricots rollin' 'round those parts?" Hiro grabbed some spoons needed for the jam.

"Yeah, 'course we do! Thanks, Hero", Thanked Daiya as he snapped his fingers, while using the nickname he chose from the day they met in middle school.

Daiya grabbed the apricots from the fridge and some sugar from the cabinets, as he noticed that Yasuhiro brought out the rest of the requirements on his own. How fast.

"Just for yer information thought", the eldest Oowada warned as he pointed his finger at Hagakure, "Since this is your idea, you are gonna do the dishes". He paused for a moment.

"And if ya break somethin' i'll break yer fuckin' jaw ya hear??" He cursed, looking very protective of his dear dishes.

"Okay dude chill! I'll be cautious trust me", assured Hiro, knowing Daiya and his warnings.

- After that, they started preparing the sweet recipe, with Yasuhiro giving out intructions and Daiya following them. Soon enough, they finally finshed...

"Woohooo!" Yasuhiro blowed as he threw himself on the couch.

"Move yer ass away i wanna sit too", Daiya angerly ordered, though he wan't angry at all, "besides the only thing ya did was tellin' me what to do".

"That AND washing the apricots AND cutting them too! That counts, Y'know???", Hiro defended his dear self, "besides, ya still said i gotta do the dishes, so i'm not done yet!!"

Daiya couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, "Yeah sure, whatever", He said nonchalantly while handing his roommate what appears to be a small sandwich.

"What is this?", Asked Yasuhiro, looking geniuenly confused.

"Wouldn't ya like to try the product of yer ideas?", questioned Oowada sarcastically, still holding out the sandwich.

Yasuhiro took it while mumbling out a small "thanks", to wich Daiya responded by a slightly louder "No probs".

-And so they sat down quietly, enjoying the sweet sweet result of their hardwork (with even more hardwork awaiting Yasuhiro's arrival at the kitchen).

♡ "And what, Hiro?" You asked him, panicking, half for him, half your future self.

Not just the fact that there was a thirty percent chance of being kidnapped and never seen again, but even more so, to have to watch your boyfriend being mentally crushed at the idea of you being taken from him. He loved you so much and a future without you sounded like hell. Through shaking breaths, you spoke to him.

♡ "Hiro… I'm not going anywhere." You kissed him on his forehead. You felt a wash of heat on your face just by saying this. "I'll be with you forever, okay? There will never, ever be a future where I'm not right by your side. Understand?" You smiled down at him, shyly. Hiro paused for a moment, as if thinking over his answer despite the fact that he already knew it, and finally he nodded. The two of you climbed back into the bed and into your original cuddling position.

♡ "Hey, Y/N." Hiro spoke finally, his voice only slightly shaking.

↳ I just thought of this while cleaning my room, but If you take your phone with you to bathroom, he’s using that as a way to come into the bathroom and talk with you.

↳ BEN would sit on the floor next to you, maybe his face is resting on your thigh, or he’s got his arms wrapped around you, while you do whatever.

↳ Definitely a cuddles. So if his significant other isn’t the biggest fan of touch, he’d be a little sad he can’t touch you whenever.

↳ He’s so short either way, like think between 4’10 and 5’4. As much as BEN hates his height, he uses this to his advantage.

↳ I reckon he’d enjoy the game Sally Face, so while he’s doing a play through, he’d get you to do silly voices for the characters with him.

↳ BEN would love to do Larry’s voice, while you’d be Sal or Todd. He’s Ash cause he wants to be the hot character.

↳ He doesn’t really get angry, at least not with you. He’d just get sulky, and petty. So if you have a short temper, you’d both supple Dazai and Chuuya energy.
