i really love how expressive they are, both in the way they move & emote!!! i really hope that's something that gets picked up in the animated series somehow, like i imagine him to always move in a somewhat exaggerated way, like he's always got a bit of that Roger Rabbit feel to him lmao. not to the point where it feels jarring, but i think it'd be fun if he just...was animated a bit more cartoony than the others, if that makes sense. they are just a silly guy <3

ALSO, another thing i've talked about before that's really really sweet to me is that he...kinda seems to enjoy casual physical touch :') i'm mostly basing this on two instances of him putting his hand on people's shoulder in the comic while taking to them which. i know that's kind of nothing but it has lead to me headcanoning him as someone who's just very prone to these kind of casual little touches (while staying respectful of people's boundaries of course) and probably also enjoys people doing the same to him....also ky's head probably exploded the first time he placed a hand on their arm while talking to them

Milk: If, before you engaged with your F/O's source, someone had told you that you'd get super attached to that character, would you have believed them? Why or why not?

i'm. pretty sure i wouldn't have, because i honestly didn't pay that much attention to them during my first time reading the volumes he appeared in dsjkhskj 💀 i mean, MAYBE if someone had given me all the information there's to know about them because he does check a few boxes when it comes to the type (or one type, at least) of characters i like, but?? i still have to admit that he was just kinda unremarkable to me when he first appeared, i actually skimmed over a lot of his scenes and had to go back to reread them later once i became...more interested in them....i was also actually way more interested in another character from their source before my brain started focusing on them and fully expected to f/o said character which. obviously did not end up happening. so like, overall i guess it's definitely not like i would have been appalled by the idea of becoming attached to him, but it would've been hard for me to believe that i'd love him as much as i do now because my first reaction was basically just "...eh"? falling in love with them was definitely a very unexpected (but welcome) turn of events for me lmao

Hfjfjf honestly i would love to know if anyone notices a type because it's...really hard for me to pin down. i guess when it comes down to it, i really like characters who are just sort of. nice and silly??? even if it's hidden behind a though/serious exterior sometimes....also characters who are very passionate about something i guess!!! i think all in all in just like characters that feel, hm, safe to me i guess?? as in, i think about them when i need someone to comfort me and i feel like i'd genuinely have fun being with them and like i wouldn't have to pretend to be someone else around them, like they'd actually love me for me and even encourage me to be myself and do the things i love - like, characters who inspire me in some way and make me feel more comfortable going out of my comfort zone?? i think at this point in my life i tend to gravitate towards characters who reflect traits that i'd actually love in a real life partner, which. i guess sounds very basic as far as types go?? but that's probably the closest i get to describing it jdjdjd

Who is your favorite mangaka other than tsugumi ohba/takeshi obata?

I haven't read a lot of manga yet honestly, as I didn't have much chance to either watch anime or read manga growing up. Death Note was my big introduction to animanga stuff back in the day, and though I've dabbled in a few other series over the years it's still the only one I've ever been obsessed with in any way. But I'll try to remember what else I've gotten into thus far.

I really liked One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100, both as anime and manga. ONE has a great dry and weird sense of humour that often makes me lol, but I stalled after season one for both of them and haven't picked them up again since. I think MP100 was cuter and had more feels, but OPM made me laugh more, and sometimes it had surprisingly emotional parts to it as well.

I also enjoyed reading all of the Beastars manga by Paru Itagaki recently, and I actually finished the whole thing, which is pretty rare for me with longer series. The first episode of the anime really didn't grab me because I didn't like the animation style at all, and I was kinda just like: "ugh this looks like Zootopia meets Twilight, no thanks" lol... But when I checked it out in manga form I really liked the drawings, and I felt like I could get a better sense of the characters' personalities when reading the story instead. I thought it was quite original and strange overall, and I especially liked that the characters were pretty complex, and the worldbuilding was really interesting and detailed too.

I loooove the look of the art made by Ryoichi Ikegami, it kinda reminds me of Obata's art a bit. I haven't read any of his stuff yet, but as soon as I can hunt some down I would like to. Naoki Urasawa is another mangaka I like, and who I checked out because everybody always recommends Monster to people who like DN. I think I like his writing a bit more than I like his art. The first part of the story I read was well done and definitely one of the better manga stories I've read, but it is also so dark and solemn that it makes it hard for me not to get a bit exhausted emotionally by it after a while. So maybe that's why I haven't fully finished it yet.

I read some of the original Devilman manga a while back, and the art style was pretty enjoyable to me. It was definitely making me laugh sometimes as well... had such an odd vibe to it, I should probably go back and try to finish that sometime.

I also randomly own this art book by Kaori Yuki that I bought way back in the day because I liked the art style, but whenever I tried to actually read one of her stories (Angel Sanctuary) I really didn't like it and I dropped it pretty fast. Still enjoy looking at the drawings, though.

I've gotten partway through both the Naruto and Hunter x Hunter manga series now, because I'd like to at least get familiar with the popular classics like that. I thought both had really good beginnings, though without having any childhood nostalgia attached to either of them they feel a bit too young to be something that will really grab me now maybe. I'll probably finish them both eventually, but I think if Naruto keeps being a whole bunch of them just explaining their moves to each other during fights and laying out all the technicalities of their powers and so on I'm going to get a bit bored, because that's like the least interesting thing to me in this kind of story lol. Luckily it also seems like the characters and relationships and world are pretty interesting, too.

I've also read some of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (about half of part 4), and I'm kinda meh about it so far. It's sort of on the same level of watching wrestling for me in being mildly amusing for how flamboyant and eccentric and macho everybody is, but definitely not something that I feel strongly attached to or sit there and think about seriously for any length of time.

I own a collection of Junji Ito stories as well, love the creepy art so much!

Yuri! on Ice was cute.

And I started reading Sailor Moon and thought it was some of the most appealing and iconic art I've seen yet, and Usagi was cute and funny and charming as a character in the little bit I read of that.

YGO Questionnaire Part 2 Electric Boogaloo

So, my gf/bf @howaboutalittlehelpneos tagged me to do this again a... good long while ago, and I had wanted to wait until I'd finished my GX rewatch before trying this again. But ouch oof I accidentally also got through all of 5Ds again before getting to this lol

But the 5Ds rewatch definitely reshaped a lot of my thoughts, so... cracks knuckles. This won't be spoiler free, fair warning~

Favorite Series: ugh the formatting killed my original essay on this but okay GX and 5Ds are pretty tied in my book, now-- I love them equally, but in different ways! GX fulfills my love for subversive coming-of-age stories with a heartwarming, humorous, and also soulcrushing touch, and I love how each season brings a new story and new characters-- it's like reading installments of a novel series, and I think the formatting works wonders for it as a whole. It has some absolutely phenomenal character writing, too-- even the characters I dislike are ones I can appreciate for what they introduce to the story! And honestly, not enough people give the first two seasons of GX the credit it deserves: they're half the charm, really. How are you going to feel the full impact of the heartbreaking content in seasons 3 and 4 if you aren't properly attached to the characters?

But on 5Ds's side of things... it fulfills my love for stories with time loops, found family, human nature, and of course, love and death and how they intertwine. I love how the leading characters are just a bunch of broken kids from broken circumstances who all find a home with each other, and of course, how it highlights class disparity and how fucked up the prison/"justice" systems are. Yea, sure, maybe it underwent executive meddling and all, but I genuinely love it for what it is and I wish more people appreciated it... my only problem with 5Ds is the untwist with Z-ONE and then the ending s m h I adore it overall and I could go off for a long while on it. Overall, these are my two instinctive recommendations for anyone getting into Yugioh!

(look at these boys they're so important) Favorite Protagonist: Oh, believe me, absolutely nothing has changed here-- Yusei Fudo is and always will be my favorite protagonist, and my rewatch only solidified that.

I just... love him so much? He's seen so much hell in his life and carries so much guilt on his shoulders, but he still has room in his heart to believe in others and to believe that anyone can defy fate and find hope even at rock bottom. I love that he's initially introduced as this quiet, brooding figure when he really just turns out to be a huge softie who wears his heart on his sleeve half the time and wants to bring about change for Satellite and its people. Plus I just really love that his greatest flaw is something that would ordinarily be a positive trait-- he's Overly self-sacrificial, to the point where he's basically setting himself on fire to keep others warm, and that's not really framed as something Heroic

Just... he makes me so happy. I have two Yusei charms that I ordinarily keep on my keys (one was a gift from Zenzen) and they're a constant source of serotonin for me. He's Peak comfort character for me. Best protag in my book Favorite Rival: Same deal here-- still Manjoume!

While he spends a lot of the anime getting the good old damsel in distress treatment (getting suckered into a cult, getting knocked into a coma, becoming a zombie, getting fucking Killed, etc), I still think his character arc is really well-written overall and I only appreciated it even more when I watched GX again. I love the fact that he's got a soft heart he buries beneath the edgy facade, and that he's simultaneously really sharp and also kind of dense lol. He's just a fun character and watching how he evolves from episode one to episode one hundred eighty is such a satisfying journey.

Plus, props to him for being such a versatile duelist-- 50 wins in a row is HARD as is, let alone with a deck full of cards he just found laying around in the Arctic. Three ace monsters, three different archetypes... he's a really good duelist and I'm proud of him for it

Oh, but honestly, I don't really dislike any of the rivals-- I'm neutral towards Revolver and Reiji, but the remaining four (Kaiba, Manjoume, Jack, and Shark) compel me. yes I accidentally wound up liking Jack Atlas shhh Favorite BFF: Honestly, I really like most of the characters who fit this archetype-- Joey, Crow, Gongenzaka, Soulburner... I still lean a little bit more towards Joey, but I really appreciate all four of them. I'm gonna say Joey again, just because I find his evolution as a character the most compelling, but I appreciate the other three a lot. Soulburner has the best design though Favorite GFF: Oh absolutely still Aki, but I honestly... really love most female Yugioh characters? I'm assuming this is lead girls only, but like. I'm dumb and gay and I love Girls so this is naturally the most difficult one for me to answer lol

Aki just resonates with me the most because she's the prime example of how trauma doesn't always manifest in palatable ways-- when we first meet her, she's angry and lashes out at anyone and anything just because she wants the world to suffer in the same ways she's suffered, and then... we get to watch her grow from that, once she's free from Divine and able to heal the way she needs to heal. I know the second half of 5Ds didn't give her character the attention it deserved, but I'm still proud of her for winding up on the path she did-- seeing her channel her power and energy into wanting to heal and help others was just so good and was one of the few things I really Loved about the 5Ds ending.

oh, but like. Asuka Tenjoin and Aoi Zaizen are very close seconds for me!!! Aki just has a vice grip on my heart Favorite Villain: Okay, it's still technically Vector-- I think he's the most entertaining, well-written, and effective villain out of all of the ones we've seen so far, but... I also want to add Takuma Saiou and then all of Yliaster as honorable mentions?

As someone fond of tarot myself, I was naturally pretty intrigued by Saiou the first time I watched GX, but my attachment to him only grew the second time around where I actually got the chance to understand his character better. Plus, like... the visuals with him are fucking astounding and he's always so interesting to watch.

As for Yliaster, I just... really love how the big bad of 5Ds turned out to just essentially be a broken man desperate to save anyone and anything and three robotic reconstructions of the friends he'd lost. I still think the untwist with Z-ONE was stupid and I much prefer the idea of him and Yusei being the same person, but I'm still compelled by the other three-- well. Paradox less so, because we don't get a lot of Paradox lore, but. Aporia and Antinomy for sure.

ugh Yugioh has some damn good villains

Favorite Card: now that I actually play the TCG game...

Stardust is always going to be my favorite of all cards because it checks every box for me (my favorite YGO character's ace monster, space theme, what more could I want), but Aromaseraphy Rosemary has really become one of my aces in my best TCG deck! I'm still mastering irl plays, but I'm happy with my progress and I love my plant gang...

Favorite Episode: alright, here's where there's actually been a Lot of change, so...

Season 0: Episode 16: "Turnabout by a Hair's Breadth - The White-Robed Crisis" -- The more I think about this one, the more I love it; there's a... lot of corruption in the medical industry, and I've seen a lot of it firsthand, so just. Seeing a corrupt doctor get what he deserved at the end was cathartic, in a way? Plus, a Jounouchi-centric episode is always a good time.

Duel Monsters: Episodes 96-97: "Darkness vs. Darkness/One Turn Kill" -- this hasn't changed, I still love seeing Marik and Bakura bitch at each other for two whole episodes LMAO

GX: Episode 152: "Activate Super-Fusion! Rainbow Neos" -- This one hasn't changed and it likely never will-- I take so much pride in seeing Judai push forward, past the fear and guilt he's carrying, all to save Johan... it's cathartic and I never get sick of watching it.

5Ds: sweats. still all of Crash Town, but also episodes 137-147-- the Ark Cradle is one of my favorite parts of 5Ds and one of my favorite YGO arcs period, and even though each duel is a fucking gut punch, I love the emotional intensity and weight in each episode... It hurts but in a mostly good way

Zexal: Episode 143: "The Aloof Duelist 'Nasch': The Destined Final Duel" -- this one hasn't changed! Still hurts, still love it, I still weep over Ryouga Shark Kamishiro on a daily basis

Arc-V: Episodes 81-82: "Our Respective Battlefields/The Ultimate Falcon VS The Black-Feathered Thunder" -- Okay, honestly, this was hard because I... genuinely. really don't like Arc-V very much at all lol (it's just not my cup of tea, but more power to those who do like it!), but I thought this duel was a lot of fun! Shun is my absolute favorite from Arc-V and I really like the friendship he struck up with Crow a lot, so here we are

VRAINS (so far): Episode 25-26: "Virus Deck Operation/Three Draws Leading to Hope" -- honestly I am so biased because I just really love Blue Angel and I loved seeing her get a well-deserved victory like this lol. I'm not done with VRAINS, so this is probably gonna change, but anytime Blue Angel or Soulburner are on screen, I'm happy

Favorite Decks to Use: Aromages will always have my heart, but I adore Cyber Angels too! I'm building my Trickstar deck, my Synchron/Stardust deck (just waiting on Dawn of Majesty...), and my Magician Girls deck, too! Ooof reading? I don't know it was really damn early I think around 12? When my English got pretty good. Writing I started at 15... I publicly published my first fics on Ao3 from that time 2 years later with inglorious Basterds, you can still check that out on my page. They're a bit wonky but eh.

Immovable, Unbreakable by Card_Slash is the one fic I keep coming back to but am never able to finish it's so long it needs dedication and concentration but almost every 3 months I decide to reread it because it shaped who I was at age 14 :))) I still remember reading it for the first time at my grandma's little Soviet panel flat in the summer heat on the tiny open up bed in the living room and I watched as the sun rose because I was so hooked on it I couldn't stop reading all night. I fucking loved assassins creed and that's the only good fic they had but this was THE fic

10. What’s your favorite fandom, pairing, or character to read fic for?

Before getting into PB, and the whole Cillian + Tom filmography fandom I was a big fan of and looked up a lot of fics for (Star Wars) Hux x Kylo, (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) Graves x Newt, and I was very active as an artist last year for DBH (Gavin x Connor / Gavin x Nines) and DMCV (Nero x V / Dante x V) and loved the fics for them.

Now as we know I'm head over heels for any Tom Hardy x Cillian Murphy character pairing and I really wish for more♡♡ also PB: Tommy with Luca or Campbell or Freddie or any other man pleaseeee

My favourite fic I've written? Eyy that's a tough one... I really love and am attached to All 4 You but rn my Falling For Danger series is so fucking pleasing honestly aaaahhh especially I think Salt and Mint that baby got the least attention out of the three but I think it's amazingly pleasing tbh... it's the start of the mommy kink too ahahahaaa

22. Do take fic requests? If so, for what characters and why?

I would love to!!!! I'd love to write some Tommy getting some good dick by Alfie, Luca, Campbell, James, Freddie, Arthur, etc but I do prefer a bottom Tommy at all times. I'd also love to write some Crane and Robert fics too :)) But I'm unsure about doing them for free I'm kind of a broke collage student and would love a few pounds for commissions so I can get some food for it if possible :/ I know not all of us are in a situation to be able to spend money on fics (even if it's just like £5, been there) but I'd definitely produce them quicker if it comes with some reward

26. What’s your biggest distraction when writing?

I live in a household with basically no personal space and I have my mother and sister constantly come in and nag me about what I'm doing. I say I'm writing. They insist on knowing what. I say stuff. They say oh you think you can have that attitude in an eastern household huh 🙃🙃🙃

K-kiss? Not exactly my thing but there are a few that I would be more than willing to.

I: Solas from Dragon Age Inquisition

If you look at this blog for even two minutes you'd be very aware that I'm enamored with this man. Honestly he was the main reason I started the Dragon Age series. His past and his personality are forever a bittersweet thing to me, I can't wait to find out his true plans. He seems like he'd be a good kisser, nice lips and being a centuries-old god and all.

II: Fenris from Dragon Age 2

Fenris is the second reason I decided to buy the Dragon Age series. He's such an interesting character to me and his growth is heartwarming, especially if you romance him. Bioware also had no right to make him that attractive. The man needs some love and I'd be more than happy to give it to him.

III: Thane Krios from Mass Effect

Fish man, take me by the hand

He wasn't the start, but he did kick my love for reptilian fish men into overdrive. I love the silent, thoughtful, soulful type, and while he's all of those, being a religious assassin who seeks forgiveness on top of it makes a stunning combination. I'm still not over what happened to him, he deserved better. I'm well aware that I'd hallucinate and get high if I kissed him, but I'm still open to it.

IV: Aloth Corfiser from Pillars of Eternity

You know when you see a character for the first time and just know that they're going to latch onto your heart? Yeah, that's what happened when I saw Aloth. He only latched on harder when I learned of his backstory and saw his friendship with the Watcher. While I want to hug him first and foremost, I'm definitely not against smooching him.

V: Ignis Scientia from Final Fantasy XV

This man has a brain, sass, style, and an accent and he knows how to use all of them. He caught my attention immediately but it was his devotion, the care he had for his King, and friends that held me. I may or may not have shed a tear when he lost his eye sight. Plus, every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man.

VI: Reno Sinclair from Final Fantasy VII

This dude, dorky dumbass, I'm not quite sure when he wormed his way into my heart but he's been there for a long time and there's nothing I can do about it (not that I really want to). As I said above, he is a designated dumbass in my mind, but I'm also extremely fond of him. Kissing wise, he looks like he could teach me something look at his lips.

VII: Axel from Kingdom Hearts

Good lord, the first time I saw Axel I was eight years old and dude that was the first time I'd ever thought someone was good looking. I was an innocent babe, playing Kingdom Hearts 2, and then he just strutted on screen in all his glory and fried my brain. I haven't been the same since. I have many feelies when it comes to him, I want to love him and I want him to be happy.

VIII: Jak from Jak and Daxter

Heckin' mood Jak is a character that I was and still am very attached to. The series was the first one I'd ever really gotten into, and I latched onto Jak the moment I saw him. He's an amazing character and watching his development throughout the games endeared him to me. He deserved a lot better than he got.

IX: Prince Zuko from Avatar The Last Airbender

An all-time favorite character, with one of the best redemption arcs I've seen to date. As a kid I liked him purely for his growth and because I thought he was cool, but I recently rewatched the show and his dedication, idealism, and awkwardness shined through. The man is a dork and he's moody, but damn it I love him for it.

X: Uta from Tokyo Ghoul

This weird man clawed into my mind about four months ago, he speaks to the attraction to the gothic and morbid that I had (still do I suppose) in my early teens. The tattoos, shaved head, black aesthetic, and lean build speaks to me, along with the fact that he's dorky as all hell. I get the feeling he's sort of satanic and super kinky though.

Taekook in Aladdin:

Jungkook as Jasmine & Taehyung as Aladdin.

●I really like the thought of Taekook with this one; they have really nice dynamics for it. I think I'm going to make Hoseok the Genie, but with much less blue. He and Taehyung would make a good duo in this. Honestly, though, I just really love the movie and want to write about the Taekook magic carpet ride. Also, Jungkook being sassy with Tae is such a concept, like Taehyung would be so whipped for it●

Yoonseok in Cinderella:

Yoongi as Cinderella & Hoseok as Prince Charming.

●I actually have have a plan for this one, and it's gonna be a little emotional, and I hope I can write it well enough. Just imagine Yoongi having cute, small animals as friends and Hoseok just loving them to death. It'd be so fluffy because Hoseok is literal sunshine that would do anything for Yoongi, I'm not crying you are. Hoseok would search day and night to find Yoongi, in any AU honestly.

Namjin in Beauty & The Beast:

Seokjin as Bell & Namjoon as The Beast (except instead of an animal type beast, I would put a different spin on it).

●Seokjin being the sassy softly he is would be perfect for this. I could really have fun with this AU and make it have a lot of fluff as well as some melancholy. Like, the thought of Namjoon being whipped for Jin but not doing anything about it because he's really self conscious is enough to make me cry●

Junghope in Robin Hood:

Jungkook as Maid Marian & Hoseok as Robin Hood.

●I just like the thought of Hoseok being really peppy and helping everyone so much. It's been a while since I've seen the movie so I'm basing off of old memories, but it still gives me a Junghope vibe. Like the part where they steal from the king, Hoseok would be so creative with it and dressing up as a girl wouldn't even be that hard of a feat, he's so pretty●

Vhope in Peter Pan:

Taehyung as Wendy & Hoseok as Peter Pan.

●Vhope is the epitome of childish, so this is the perfect AU for them. They're so perfect together, and so happy, I love it! Taehyung would always try to be more mature because he was raised to be like that, and his parents throw a fit over it a lot. So Hoseok takes it upon himself to show Taehyung how to be a kid. I just like emotionally constipated Taehyung, that's trying to do the right thing. It really gets to me.

Jihope in Sleeping Beauty:

Jimin as Aurora & Hoseok as Prince Phillip.

●This is really nice because while Hoseok is super silly and fun, he cares so much and would do anything for Bangtan, and it reflects in his actions. So, if prince Hoseok is the love of Jimin's life and has to kiss him and fight dragons, you bet he's going to do it. I think I'm to make thier pre-sleep story longer and emotionally attached than the original story of the Sleeping Beauty●

Jikook in The Little Mermaid:

Jimin as Ariel (because of the red hair lol) & Jungkook as Eric.

●I literally cry at the thought of this because it would be so beautiful. I know people project Jimin as really sexy and more of a playboy in fics, but I wouldn't mind making Jimin innocent and new to a lot of things with this, and just letting Jimin stumble a little a little through it all makes it feel more real. Something like this fits Jikook really well●

Sugakookie in Snow White:

Yonngi as Snow White & Jungkook as The Prince.

●I'd like to spin this with the real Snow White, and make Yoongibbe super pure but have a little bit too much of an attitude. I know it clashes with the real concept of Snow White, but I think it'd be a fun read. Jungkook would get suprised because he thought Yoongi was supposed to be gentle and perfect, but it has more depth if he falls in love with Yoongi despite him having a few flaws. Yonngi is still just as beautiful with a bad mouth on him on him, it adds character.

Vmin in Red Riding Hood:

Taehyung as The Wolf & Jimin as Red Riding Hood.

●This, uh, this why I have breathing problems. I know people always like the whole Little Red and timber cutter (that's what he was, right?), but I'd like for Jimin to fall with a flawed, struggling Wolf. Taehyung would try to project himself as strong and not very nice, and he doesn't make a lot of right choices. He uses his ability to be scary as a form of protection, and Jimin could be exactly what Tae needs to loosen up●

Taekook in Alice In Wonderland:

Taehyung as The White King & Jungkook as Alice.

●Jungkook falling down the rabbit hole is such a concept, but some would be like "JK is a bunny, so make him the white rabbit". I just he fits Alice a lot more. I could really go on for days about this AU, I love it so much. Jungkook making his way through Wonderland and getting help from Taehyung, The White King, makes me cry. Like, Tae would always let Jungkook stay in his palace and be really doting and make sure he's fine.. especially when Jungkook accidentally causes trouble and had to stay away from The Red King●

Yoonseok in Rapunzel:

Yoongi as Rapunzel & Hoseok as Flynn.

●Yoongi not knowing anything about the world is really dangerous, but imagine that cute face he does when he's suprised like a mix between a pout and he barely lets his mouth hang. It's really cute, but Hoseok would get addicted to it and try to show Yoongi absolutely everything in hopes of trying to get it out of him again. I could probably mix some really emotional things in with this, I know the actual movie had me devastated when I first watched it●

Hi I'm new to anime & I trust and admire u!!! What do u recommend??

Hey there! and yeeesss, i’m so glad you’re gonna give anime a try! there are so many good stories and plots in anime which dont exist in western media so it’s a great mode of entertainment! so as for recs, lemme copy and paste my previous list and update it to answer your question!

Currently watching:

Neon Genesis Evangelion - i admit it has a slow buildup but be patient because you will really find it intense and see how it’s not your typical mecca anime. so far, i think it seems to be a deconstruction of the genre and has alot of psychological themes

Boku no Hero Academia - it’s a recent anime and it’s really good! i think it’s on course to becoming a really big anime that will last many seasons at this rate. the story is about a world where majority of the inhabitants are heroes cause they have quirks (powers).. and the premise is that the main character doesnt have one but he wants to be a hero so watch and see how the story unfolds!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures (currently on Stardust Crusaders) - macho anime with an excellent plot! the guys are hot haha and many of the memes are in japanese so watch the original subbed but if you prefer not to read, the dub isnt bad. it’s very memey but the story is really entertaining and has unpredictable moments

One Punch Man - a parody of a superhero anime. tbh this isnt really binge-watch material cause it’s like a running gag and the story unfolds after episode 5 so i’ve just been watching this during my cardio days in the gym. but it’s really funny and a good anime

Hunter X Hunter - this anime is popular and it’s about hunters. so the beginning has the protagonist wanting to be a hunter and then he meets some fellow hunters along the way. it’s one of the highest rated anime in MyAnimeList (the RottenTomatoes equivalent of the anime world) so yeah check this out!

Recently watched:

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (Battle Tendency) - SONO CHI NO SADAMEEE JOOOOOOJOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the type of anime that’ll get you wanting to go to the gym and lift. that being said, it has a really amazing story

Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan - it’s the Game of Thrones of anime imo.. like it’s so GOOD.. it will just make you gag after every episode!!! it’s so intense and there are really badass characters. and the plot is really brilliant. like if you think season 1 was like WHAT THE FUCkk.. wait til season 2! this anime is crazy and exciting. not for the faint-hearted tbh cause it can be graphic and disturbing (also dont get attached. they could die!) but yeah, this anime is popular true and some say it’s overrated but that’s because it really deserves all the recognition and success it has for its amazing plot

Love Live! School Idol Project - i honestly just watched this like out of curiosity and just for kicks. i was not expecting to love it but after episode 3, i was like wait??? wasnt this anime supposed to be fun?? why am i crying?? so yeah, it’s super good, touching, entertaining and sweet! and the songs are really catchy and good.. TBH this anime is like so gay since there are no men (except Honoka’s dad) so yeah it passes the Bechdel Test with perfect score

Love Live! Movie - the conclusion to the anime! 

Love Live! Sunshine - i watched this like a few months after finishing Love Live! cause i loved the original girls and i was worried i wont like these girls.. but honestly, you will appreciate them. and it’s EVEN GAYER.. and is soo good too! 

btw tell me who your fave girls/best girls are after watching Love Live and Sunshine. my best girls are Umi Sonoda and Kanan Matsuura :>

Anime watched/finished:

Kimi no Na Wa - universally lauded and recently released! it’s the best film released in 2016 imo. i swear it’s really next level storytelling

Rurouni Kenshin - i think i watched this anime twice/thrice.. It’s so suspenseful. it’s about samurais. and this anime made me interested about Japan’s history. it’s kind of a period drama with amazing fight sequences. and it’s critically acclaimed. it’s my father’s all-time favourite anime

Rurouni Kenshin OVA - it’s a prequel. also more violent and tragic than its anime counterpart.. like it’s really different from the series. but it’s so good. you’ll find out how Kenshin got his iconic X mark from here!)

Ghost Stories - THE DUB IS A MASTERPIECE! THE SUBBED IS SHIT. TRUST ME. the DUB is the popular one too cause it’s the superiour version. You really have to see this one. the anime bombed in Japan so the english dubbers got all the rights for the anime and they gave the go signal for the dubbers to do whatever the fuck they want and the end result is fucking hilarious. it shits on the Scary Movie Franchise tbh

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - i swear do not be deceived.. it is a really intense and surprisingly dark anime with excellent plot twists

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - super funny anime. if you need a laugh, this will really lift you up. i watched the first two episodes in sub and dub back to back.. and i can vouch that the voice actors for the English dub are excellent. it’s actually even funnier.. but if you prefer subs, then that’s fine. it’s just the lines are more humorous, expressive and have more variety :) Nozaki’s voice is also attractive in the dub.. it’s still very Nozaki imo. this anime pokes fun at the shoujo manga yet still has romantic elements. it’s mostly comedy though

Jigoku Shoujo / Hell Girl - angst, tragedy, philosophical anime analysing humanity’s hatred, need for vengeance, and suffering. Futakomori or the 2nd season is my favourite but it’s worth finishing the entire series. 3rd season is very painful to watch though and you dont have to watch that one tbh if you dont want to lol

Yu Yu Hakusho - occult, spirit world, ghosts, and fighting. you most probably have heard of this

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters - 1st series starring Yugi. iconic!

Digimon - can be very intense! better than Pokemon imo

Cardcaptor Sakura - this is also suspenseful. like the premise is essentially that Sakura has to catch all the “monsters” that were freed from this book. and it’s up to her to “capture” them and put into cards. magic, fantasy, and beautiful animation

Ranma ½ - this was so funny but the ending was disappointing cause it got cancelled apparently.. i really hope this will go out of limbo and give us a proper ending like InuYasha did but i doubt it

Danganronpa (murder plot twists, intense and despair-filled storyline. click this to know more about the premise. it’s like Battle Royale meets CSI meets How To Get Away With Murder. btw i highly suggest you play this game (it’s available on Steam) instead of watching the poorly condensed anime. so buy it on steam or you can download it how you like cause it’s one of the best games ever. and if you plan on watching this, there is no Danganronpa 2 anime so yeah just play the first game tbh. here’s a trailer of the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwJeZPMhdUk. if ya dont wanna play the games then you can watch the anime. and after watching this, here’s a link of the playthrough of the 2nd game. it’s super fun, full of plot twists, and interactive)

Yuri On Ice - it’s a really cute gay anime. people will argue it isnt and its queerbait but i’m gay and alot of the things which happen are too much for just bros to do so yeah, i believe it’s canon gay or mlm. and i enjoyed it so you watch it and be the judge

Ghost In The Shell - it’s a sci-fi movie

Yakitate Japan - baking and cooking!

Getbackers - still up to debate if the duo are gay but if you google art of them, there have been official art released and it’s so gay lol. but yeah it’s shonen genre and it’s not canon gay

Cowboy Bebop - a CLASSIC. the dub is great!!

I don’t remember if i finished these but I watched a lot of episodes enough to recommend it and will rewatch them soon to relieve memories. I’m pretty sure I tuned in though and watched like 80%:

Fushigi Yuugi (i think this is shoujo but it has a nice adventure storyline)
