I wanna post some health and appearance tips because I seen someone else on my tumblr do it.
These are actually mind blowing tips that I’ve tried and tested, actually have science behind them, and make the overall process much easier, i may not have alot of followed and it’s pretty long but please read because these are actually some revolutionary tips like the type of tips that people gatekeep. But that’s not me
Some of these products might be expensive/out if the way I’m sorry, I’m 19 and live alone have been working full time since I was young. I don’t have tips for hiding anything though since I live alone and when I was at home my family never really cared anyways these are mainly tips on how to upkeep your looks while restricting so that way you can look healthy while getting skinny, but I do have some prouducts that will raise less suspicion for anyone who lives at home still.
✨ Tried and tested ✨
Hair~
Hair breaks when you’ve been restricting for a long time but these products have really helped and now I don’t have split ends. Their fine hair friendly as well, just remember shampoo your roots and only condition and oil your ends
Olaplex conditioner and the Olaplex hair oil
shea moisture Manuka honey and manfura oil intensive conditioner
Amika soulfood deep conditioner
Any shampoo with rosemary (makes your hair thicker and has been proven to be as effective as rogaine)
Tessa peays (you can find her on tiktok and YouTube) hair oil recipe and hair oil routine
Body care~
Skin gets really dry sooo
Olay body washes (literally any kind will work their so hydrating, they have a niacinimide one which works to brighten up your skin)
Any lotion with Vaseline in it (Vaseline will lock all moisture in and is the most effective humectant on the market. I don’t recommend using straight Vaseline Vaseline though because that will get all stick, just use a Vaseline brand lotion)
Body scrub once a week
Skincare~
Moisturizer. When your restricting you need to invest in a moisturizer, keep your skin hydrated
Sheet masks 1x a week. I like to use ones that are specifically food themed cuz in my head it’s giving my skin the nutrients I don’t wanna give to myself
My favorite kinds are: the tony Molly “I am-“ ones. Mediheal placenta sheet mask (my skin litterally glows after the placenta one) innisfree honey sleeping mask
I don’t recommend doing diy skincare but the only thing I will ever recommend along the lines of diy skincare is a honey and avacado face mask, makes my skin so hydrated and plump
Foods~
(Some of these might be a fear food for alot and can be a little calorie dense but they help with your appearance)
Berries: especially blueberries and strawberries (have highest antioxidants, which help your apperance)
Cherry and pomegranate juice (antioxidant thing I mentioned above)
Avacados and chia seeds (kinda high in calories I know! But they have lots of omegas and healthy fats and chia seeds are full of omegas and proteins, these will keep your skin dewy and keep your hair nice, chia seeds will also keep you feeling fuller for longer and are a natural laxative)
Eggs: protien+good for your hair
Health in general+ weight~
Quit nicotine. I know that nicotine is like a staple in our community and I myself and on my journey of trying to quitting smoking but after years it catches up to you, and it causes acne. If your not eating your body isn’t going to put that nutrients to upkeeping your face, I already have faint smokers lines around my lips. plus it makes working out easier
(If ur a girl/have female parts) you need to get a probiotic in and get regularly tested for bv and ye⭐️ast infections. You will be prone to bv and yeast “imbalances” while starving and they can cause a lot of problems from stomach bloating to lack of desire and pain and a lot of times are asymptomatic. This happened to me and caused alot of mental anguish because the pain made me question my gender identity and the bloating made the mental aspect of my e d worse and I didn’t even have any symptoms
Don’t use miralax, it’s really bad for you. Drink senna tea, it’s less suspicious and actually works faster and better than laxatives. Plus it doesn’t destroy your organs like miralax
Don’t use trendy diet pills. If your going to take anything get “Garcinia Cambodia” supplement and take it with an apple cider vinegar supplement. Get the acv pills instead of drinking actual acv becsuse it’s better on your teeth (have to be taken together, a study was done on this combination plus it’s been really helping me)
Fast instead of ⭐️ve: I’m not going to get too deep into the science of it all because I’m bad with my words and explaining but basically when your restricting I t’s actually more harmful to your metabolism, makes you crave more food and makes your hungrier making everything harder because that’s what actually puts your body into starvation mode is a constant input of extremely few calories. When your fasting your body goes into “modes” that are actually benifical to your body,metabolism, cravings and feelings of hunger. When you focus more on not eating anything for a long period of time (fasting) vs “I can only have x calories today so I’m gonna eat x and x and x” -(restricting), you’ll find it makes you not only loose weight faster but also make it feel easier
Which is why I see a lot of ppl on here say things like “I can fast so easily but restricting is so hard” well that’s because there’s literally a science to it. And a little secret, after you do general fasting a few days (not for days straight but more so one meal a day like 24 hour fasts and 16+odd hour fasts) it gets easy. It is litterallt so much easier than plain restricting
Take collegen supplements if it’s something your not afraid of because their very good for supple skin and also for hair as well recent studies and random experiments I’ve seen on YouTube have shown
Take biotin~ for your hair
Drink “sparkling ice” drinks. They 5 Cals and have vitamin B’s which are good for your metabolism
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will be adding anytning I might’ve forgotten becayse I kinda rushed this because I rlly wanted to share all of these with everyone in the community after I got inspiration from the post I saw earlier. Feel free to comment or dm me any questions about the products and the sciences
oc ask game for Vesta
8, 32, 35, 40
8 - Is your oc more likely to follow instructions exactly, throw them out and figure it out on their own, or make it all up? What are the results like?
They used to follow instructions quite strictly, but she has loosened up quite a bit and will improvise when it's convenient for them.
32 - What five ingredients would you throw into a cauldron to make a potion based on your oc? How would you cook/mix them? What would the potion do?
Potion of wakeful nights (staying awake without adverse side-effects)
Heat a cauldron with a bunsen burner, blue flame. Add eye of newt, dried flowering manuka twig, honey, leg of frog and condensed milk. Bring to boil, then leave to simmer for 45 minutes. After that, strain and pour into your preferred flask.
35 - How easily does your oc get attached to things? Does everything have a sentimental value to them, or do they see nothing as more valuable than its practical use? What about with people/animals?
She doesn't usually get too attached to objects unless they're somehow attached to someone. They didn't really get the idea of keeping pets and were kinda resistant to it at first, but eventually, she relents, they get 2 nudibranches, and they force their way into her hearts. If someone reminds them of someone from a memory she hasn't recovered yet, she'll get attached to them particularly quickly.
40 - Are there any habits your oc has picked up from people around them? Do they know where they’re from? Does your oc try to stop themselves from doing it?
Lyra takes notes by making voice recordings; Vesta has kinda picked this up and starts randomly monologuing.
Lyra has her vegetable garden, which they both maintain, but I think that's more of a routine than a habit.
Girl, I need your hair routine!! My curls are just wild af…
Okay I got you! 🥰
I’m going to list all the products I use and how I use them. If you need me to send you pictures of specific products go ahead and DM me, I’ll be happy to send links or pictures!
Wash routine:
I only wash my hair every other day (2-3 times a week) NOT everyday!
I’ll use AG hair “Curl Revive shampoo” & “Curl Thrive Conditioner” (A more affordable option that I also use is Shea Moisture “curl & shine” shampoo/conditioner)
I’ll detangle my hair in the shower and I use a wide tooth comb to do that
Once I get out I use a deep conditioner my favorite is Shea Moisture “Manuka Honey & Mafura oil Intensive hydration Hair Masque” I’ll section off my hair and use that while I use a Denmen Brush to comb through the product.
After it’s combed through I’ll put my hair in a bun and let it sit for like 30+ minutes
After that I’ll wash out the product with cold water
Styling Routine:
I’ll section off my hair into 4 sections and use a spray bottle to put water on each section and put in some leave-in conditioner. My favorites are AG Hair “Re:Coil” and “Curl Thrive” used together OR Shea Moisture “Curl Enhancing smoothie” used on its own
Once I have those in my hair I’ll use my Denmen brush to comb the product in.
Make sure you always comb away from your scalp NOT down to help get some volume
After that I’ll add some gel to each section. My favorite is Shea Moisture “Defining Styling Gel”
Drying:
If I have time I’ll use a Hair dryer w/ a diffuser attachment
If not I’ll just let my hair air dry
After my hair is dry I use a Hair pick to help fluff out my hair and I also will add some Argon oil on my hands and separate some curls for volume
I use a silk hair bonnet after my wash days to preserve my curls
It’s important to note that I have a Rezo hair cut which makes my hair look fuller+more volume, what works for my hair may not work for yours and what works for your hair my not work for mine (:
Hopefully this helped, may your curls look amazing 🥳
Home Remedies for Hidradenitis Suppurativa
Tumblr media
Managing hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) involves an assortment of complications. This chronic inflammatory skin illness produces various symptoms — among them, painful abscesses in skin folds that leak and give off a foul odor — each of which may need to be treated with individually.
What’s more, “Some individuals [with HS] are disappointed with standard therapy. They may be weary of using antibiotics or other treatments, or they’re worried about long-term adverse effects,” says Rita O. Pichardo, MD, a dermatologist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, who runs a clinic for HS patients.
For that reason, many seek to alternative remedies to assist control the disease. In fact, according to data published in January 2020 in JAMA Dermatology, this is the case for roughly 84 percent of persons who have HS.
As is common with alternative medical therapies, most that have been advertised to help treat HS have not been proved to work, but few have a considerable lot of anecdotal evidence to back them up and may be worth trying, with a dermatologist’s direction. “HS is like a jigsaw, and we have various parts to manage it — and every piece counts,” explains Dr. Pichardo.
1. Aloe Vera
The thick, meaty leaves of this succulent contain a gel that’s utilized for a multitude of medical uses. It may hydrate dry skin, relieve sunburns, and reduce inflammation and itching. It’s commonly added to lotions, creams, and other items.
What it does: Although aloe vera hasn’t been demonstrated to cure HS wounds, it may help reduce discomfort, because to its cooling characteristics, adds Pichardo.
How to utilize it: You may collect the aloe vera gel by creating a longitudinal incision in a leaf and squeezing it out. Apply the gel to damaged skin and cover with gauze.
2. Diluted Bleach
When used full strength, bleach is applied to laundry to brighten whites and to cleaning solutions to kill germs. As it turns out, it may also help treat several skin diseases, including HS.
What it does: Bleach may help dry up areas of HS that are seeping. It’s also an antibiotic that may help prevent open abscesses from becoming infected.
How to apply it: It may seem nearly deadly to purposefully put bleach on your skin, but it only takes a little to be effective. Pichardo suggests diluting a quarter cup of household bleach in a full tub of bathwater. “Soak for 10 to 15 minutes, three times a week,” she advises.
3. Epsom Salts
Epsom salts are naturally occurring mineral salts that include magnesium and sulfate. It’s affordable and simple to obtain at pharmacies, supermarkets, and other places, as well as online.
What it does: Proponents believe the minerals in Epsom salts are absorbed into the skin, but there’s little proof that’s true. But, Pichardo notes, “An Epsom salt bath may help dry the pus coming from HS lesions, and it will assist overall with inflammation.”
How to utilize it: Create a bath soak by adding roughly one and a quarter cups of Epsom salts to a full tub of water. Pichardo also suggests you may wet a clean towel with a mix of Epsom salts and warm water to use as a compress, applied directly on lesions.
4. Honey
The honey you pour over toast or into tea may have advantages that extend beyond sweetening. “There are anecdotal indications honey may aid with HS,” adds Pichardo, “and I’ve had patients tell me it has benefited them.”
What it does: Honey, especially a kind called manuka, “is antibacterial, it has healing effects, and it is anti-inflammatory,” she explains. Laboratory studies have uncovered evidence to show honey is able to modify the skin’s immune system. It’s even used to cure infected wounds.
How to utilize it: Honey may be used a various ways for HS, adds Pichardo. “You may apply it directly to lesions on its own or use a combination of honey and turmeric. You may also take it by mouth, either alone or combined with tea or another beverage.”
5. Turmeric
Turmeric is a brilliant yellow spice that provides a vibrant addition to curry powder, stews, marinades, sauces, and more.
What it does: Turmeric has been identified in studies to have various possible health advantages, including anti-inflammatory and antibacterial characteristics, and is widely used to help treat inflammation in dermatology and rheumatology, adds Pichardo.
How to use it: Turmeric pills are available at pharmacies, health food shops, and online. Look for a supplement that combines turmeric with piperine, the active element in black pepper, since this common pantry item has been discovered in tests to boost the absorption of curcumin — and has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity itself. Powdered turmeric also may be combined with water to produce a paste, which you can apply directly on HS lesions,” adds Pichardo.
6. Vicks VapoRub
This over-the-counter ointment is often used as a cough suppressant when breathed in or to reduce aches and pains when put on tight muscles.
What it does: Some individuals who have HS report Vicks VapoRub may help alleviate discomfort when applied directly to sores. This may be owing to its active ingredients: camphor, eucalyptus, and menthol.
Among the inactive components, nutmeg oil may help decrease swelling and kill germs, while thyme oil, an antifungal, may alleviate itching surrounding lesions, according to hopeforhs.org, a nonprofit group focusing on education about and activism around hidradenitis suppurativa. Many patients also prefer the strong menthol and eucalyptus aroma, which may help cover odors connected to HS, Pichardo explains.
How to use it: Vicks VapoRub is not authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat HS, thus there are no medically sanctioned rules for how to use it. Most individuals apply a small coating to closed lesions and cover it with a bandage. The crucial thing to remember is that Vicks VapoRub should never be used to open or draining abscesses, adds Pichardo.
7. Zinc
Zinc is a vital trace element that helps strengthen up the immune system, promotes wound healing, and may even help minimize the intensity of colds. Most individuals require just a modest quantity each day: According to the National Institutes of Health, healthy adult men require 11 milligrams (mg) of zinc per day, while females need 8 mg. It’s present in foods that are abundant in protein, such as oysters, lobster, crab, beef, chicken, and beans, as well as mushrooms.
What it does: According to Pichardo, zinc may assist control the immune system. It also is occasionally prescribed for easing inflammation and swelling.
How to use it: Oral zinc supplements are included in the lifestyle factors and alternative therapy suggestions for HS, however the evidence of their usefulness is minimal. “I prescribe 90 to 100 milligrams of zinc gluconate daily,” adds Pichardo. “The over-the-counter medications are normally 50 mg apiece, so take two of those.”
Should You Try a Home Remedy for HS?
If you aren’t content with your present treatment, you may want to speak to your doctor about adding an alternate therapy to your existing regimen. According to a research published in October 2021 in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, which compared orthodox HS treatments to alternative therapy, “People who utilize alternative treatments report a greater quality of life.” (Pichardo coauthored the study.)
Keep a number of things in mind, however. One is cost: Nearly half of persons with HS who utilize unorthodox therapies report spending anywhere from $11 to $50 a month, and 1 in 4 spend $50 to $100.
The other is safety and effectiveness. “More research on alternative treatments and HS are needed,” adds Pichardo. In her own practice, she leverages the experiences of her patients, available research, and the qualities of various treatments to inform recommendations.
Check with your personal dermatologist before you attempt anything new to cure HS. They may help you figure out which home remedies may show the greatest promise for you and are safe to use with your present medication.
You asked for tea recommendations and I’m delivering because I’d gone down to make a cuppa anyway.
So, first things first, I always recommend starting with something your familiar with. The first tea I ever drank and liked was apple and cinnamon flavour, and because I understood the flavours, I actually enjoyed it.
As an extra consideration for that, choose flavours you know you like when they’re hot. It took me years to enjoy peppermint tea, because I’d only ever had mint cold before. There’s a strawberry and cucumber tea that I really like, but again, it took a couple of mugs of it to get used to having those flavours hot.
I think this is kind of why herbal teas are easier to drink than tea-teas, y’know?
Anyway, on to some recommended brands. I don’t know if you can get any of these where you are, but these are my go-to brands
First off, Pukka. They’re a little pricier than some other brands, but they have a really big range and there really is something for everyone. They also come individually wrapped and that for me is a must because I always have teabags just floating around my bag and also sometimes I won’t have a flavour for months at a time and then I’ll suddenly crave it again.
Tumblr media
The night time one I’ve been drinking for nearly six years now, it’s very soothing. Some people don’t like how it smells, though, but I’ve never found a problem with it. The lemongrass and ginger one I usually only have when I’m on my period, and the chai one I have when I’m writing because I find the scents help focus me. Personally, though, I probably wouldn’t start with the lemongrass or chai ones as your first flavour. There’s a Manuka honey one that I really love that I don’t have any of at the moment and is on my shopping list for tomorrow.
My absolute favourite tea at the moment is this one
Tumblr media
I don’t have the box any more but it’s really citrusy, it’s orangey and lemony and it really does make my day when I have it. This is a good one to have as your first foray into Pukka teas.
The other brand I drink a lot of is Twinnings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These three are the ones I have at the moment that I’d really recommend. The camomile and spiced apple is lovely for autumn and is almost out so I need to get some more, and the other two are great for when you’re really stressed. The other one I like is the strawberry, cucumber and aloe Vera which is another of their super blends range. Honestly, I prefer the superblends ones to the normal twinings ones, even though they’re more expensive. Oh, also, the twinings buttermint tea is really good if you want something to ease you into mint teas.
The other brand I occasionally drink is kib
Tumblr media
This one isn’t my favourite, and it’s kinda expensive, but it’s better than some teas that I’ve had, also.
I also usually keep a stock of just plain standard camomile and peppermint and stuff, but honestly…it’s a trial and error game of finding what blend works best for you. Both twinings and pukka do assortment boxes of like five teabags of four different flavours that are really good for finding out what works for you, cause it can be a pretty pricy guessing game otherwise.
The other way of trialing flavours is Pukka do an advent calendar (I know you’re not Christian, and it’s kinda expensive if you think about it) for like £10 ish where they have 24 tea bags of different blends so you can treat it like a sample box and try 24 different flavours without committing to a whole box of tea that you have know way of knowing if you’ll like it. I think twinings might do one too, but I can’t remember.
This is really long, sorry, but one more thing of course is knowing how to brew it - knowing what temperature water works best for what teas, how long to brew them for. Most teas will tell you. I’m a sadist and will leave my teabag in my mug until the end of the drink, but I find a stronger flavour is easier to drink. A lot of the pukka ones have brew times from 5-15 minutes anyway, and I always go longer than the recommended, but it’s personal preference and trial and error.
Also, lastly, don’t feel pressured to drink tea. I think that’s something that a lot of young people (particularly if your surrounded by a lot of tea drinkers) find. Tea should be a personal journey of growth, and it takes time, and some people just really don’t enjoy it and that’s okay.
(A good mug always helps too)
Tumblr media
Cheers
Citrusy flavors are usually fine for me, and also if I ice drinks—that worked for coffee. It still tastes horrid if it’s hot but iced it’s good. I’ll have to find some apple and orange-flavored tea to start out, maybe when I’m home for winter break since I don’t have time to break my routine rn. My bad experience with tea was when I was feeling sick and my mom made me like honey and lemon tea and not only did it just straight up taste horrid but the sweetness/sourness was really off. I haven’t trusted tea since 😂
OOOUU @simsdastra I love your questions! Thank you for asking🥰
9. Do you have a skincare routine( how many steps is it)?
A. Okay so yes I do have a skincare routine. When I was in High-school I had really bad acne so after trial and error I learned simple is best for me so my routine is not long lol. I use a tea-tree and rosemary natural facial cleanser from Whole Foods( a grocery store here in the US if you aren’t familiar), then I use a witch hazel and rose water toner spray, followed by tea-tree oil and a cetaphil facial moisturizer!
12. Brand of haircare/body care/skincare that you trust a 100%?
A. Sooo I have super curly hair and my go to product line that I have been using for yearssss is Shea Moisture, specifically their coconut and hibiscus/ Manuka honey &Mafura oil Lines. They’re amazing! plus it works great for any hair type. When it comes to my lips I love Burt’s bees. And Ive been using Dove body wash for ages now lol😜
Thank youuu again for asking! I love doing these. If you decided to answer my numbers for you are 4-3-25. 😇
Beauty Tips: How To Make The Best Choices
That's great! The problem is that you may become quickly overwhelmed. In this article you will find many tips that can help get you started and organized, while you learn to be a beauty expert. The next time you finish a lip gloss pot or sample jar, fill it with your daily moisturizer. It will be easy to stick in your purse or a drawer at your desk. Simply dab a drop of the moisturizer on your face whenever your skin begins to feel dry. Buying an eyelash curler is worth the investment. Lots of people forget the difference an eyelash curler can make. These curlers can brighten up and increase the size of your eyes. You can even find heated eyelash curlers that give you longer lasting curls. Put petroleum jelly on your finger nails each week. This stimulates the nail bed and adds moisture, which keeps your nails splitting or peeling. Additionally, it will help your cuticles and nails be stronger and healthier. Because it works almost immediately, your nails will probably look better after the first application. Unless you are suffering from severe acne, you should be sure to use a moisturizer that includes emollients, which help your skin to soak up moisture from the environment. Other ingredients, such as humectants, can actually attract moisture to the skin. Dry skin would benefit from a moisturizer with a heavy, creamy consistency. Look for a concealer palette that comes with two different shades of concealer. This allows you to blend a perfectly customized shade that will melt flawlessly into your skin. Use small dabbing and patting motions to apply the concealer over red areas, broken capillaries, and any other marks or discolored areas. Instead of applying false eyelashes that may fall off sometime during the day, use an eyelash curler. An eyelash curler will curl your lashes upwards and away from the eye, making your eyes appear bigger. Make sure you use the curler before applying mascara, or you'll have to reapply it. Use cream cleansers, especially on your face. Soap can dry your skin and lead to skin that appears weathered and older. Keep your skin beautiful by using cleansers that are more like lotion and cream and less like harsh cleaner. Your skin will thank you for the change in beauty supplies. Using pink to draw attention away from problem areas is a trick that makeup artists commonly employ. It can help detract from the puffy eyes and acne you may have. If you have an overly pale appearance this can be due to iron deficiency. Take a daily iron supplement or eat a spoonful of iron-rich manuka honey. This will help you look healthier and give your skin a natural glow. If your favorite color nail polish is getting empty and a bit tacky, add a few drops of nail polish remover to give it new life! You don't have to throw away a half empty bottle of nail lacquer, just mix in a small amount of regular remover, shake well and your old polish will work like new again. Using Best Perfumes in Pakistan can make your skin appear more beautiful without getting any of the harmful rays from sunbathing or tanning. Make sure to shave or wax any hair that you don't want on your body before applying any type of tanning lotion at least 24 hours ahead of time. If you ever run out of concealer you can turn to your foundation! Simply turn the cap of the foundation over and you will find a thicker, more condensed collection of it which you can use in a pinch in place of your regular concealer. Simply dab your finger tip in the cap and pat the foundation under eyes or over any other blemish! A great way to accentuate the upper lash line and not create an overly spidery fringe is to apply a strip of the false lashes that are used for your lower lashes. Apply from corner to corner and because they are shorter than usual falsies, they will thicken the lash line and not cause excessive elongation. These tips should have given you plenty to think about when deciding how to improve your beauty. That was much to absorb, but now, at least, you have an understanding on how to go about starting a personal beauty regimen. You can always come back and read this again.
The Bee's Knees: Choosing the Right Organic Honey for Your Health
In the sector of sweeteners, there's one that stands proud now not just for its wonderful taste but also for its potential fitness advantages—organic honey. Often dubbed the bee's knees of herbal sweeteners, natural honey goes beyond mere sweetness; it offers a plethora of nutritional advantages. In this exploration, we will delve into the nutritional benefits of natural honey and provide a manual on how to discern first-rate merchandise from respectable providers.
Tumblr media
The Nutritional Goldmine: Insights into Organic Honey's Health Benefits
1. Rich in antioxidants
Organic honey is a powerhouse of antioxidants, which play a crucial role in neutralizing unfastened radicals within the body. Free radicals are linked to aging and numerous persistent illnesses. The various varieties of antioxidants in organic honey, along with flavonoids and polyphenols, contribute to its capability to fight oxidative strain.
2. Natural Energy Booster
Looking for a herbal power improvement? Organic honey is your solution. The herbal sugars present in honey—on the whole fructose and glucose—function as a brief and without difficulty digestible source of energy. It's a great pick-me-up for those gradual afternoons or pre-exercising.
3. Immune System Support
The antibacterial and antifungal properties of organic honey make it a supportive ally for the immune system. It has been used for centuries as a remedy for numerous illnesses, thanks to its ability to soothe sore throats and coughs.
4. Gut Health
Organic honey carries prebiotics, which promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in the digestive system. This can contribute to improved intestine health and better digestion. Regular consumption of natural honey may additionally help preserve the healthy stability of microorganisms inside the gut.
5. Wound Healing Properties
The topical application of natural honey has been recognized for its wound-healing properties. Its natural antibacterial properties can be useful in preventing infection and promoting the recovery of young wounds and burns.
6. Sleep Aid
For those suffering from sleep problems, a spoonful of natural honey earlier than bedtime can also provide a natural treatment. The sugars in honey can stimulate the release of serotonin, which, in turn, converts to melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep.
How to Identify High-Quality Organic Honey: A Consumer's Guide
Understanding the nutritional blessings of organic honey is just one part of the equation. To acquire those advantages, it's vital to pick super merchandise from legitimate organic honey suppliers. Here's a manual that will help you make knowledgeable choices while deciding on organic honey:
1. Look for certifications.
Reputable natural honey providers frequently have certifications that vouch for the authenticity and excellence of their products. Look for labels inclusive of USDA Organic, EU Organic, or other local organic certifications. These certifications imply that the honey has been produced using natural farming practices without the use of synthetic pesticides or antibiotics.
2. Check the source.
Knowing the supply of your honey is vital. Opt for providers who are obvious about the origins of their honey. Some honeys, together with Manuka honey from New Zealand or Sidr honey from certain regions, have unique characteristics and health benefits associated with their unique floral assets.
3. Raw and unprocessed
Choose honey that is classified as "raw" and "unprocessed." Raw honey is not subjected to high heat for the duration of processing, which allows it to retain its herbal enzymes, vitamins, and antioxidants. Unprocessed honey retains more of its beneficial compounds as compared to heavily processed varieties.
4. Texture and Aroma
High-satisfactory organic honey frequently has a completely unique texture and aroma. It may additionally crystallize through the years, specifically if it's uncooked. Crystallization is a natural process and does no longer imply spoilage. Additionally, the aroma of organic honey ought to be awesome and reflective of the flora from which the bees gathered nectar.
5. Check for Additives
Read the label cautiously to make sure that the honey is free of components that include sweeteners, preservatives, or artificial flavors. Pure natural honey should be a simple, one-ingredient product.
6. Sustainable and Ethical Practices
Consider supporting suppliers who prioritize sustainable and moral beekeeping practices. Beekeepers who take care of their bees and the environment are more likely to provide terrific honey. Look for information about the dealer's dedication to bee welfare and environmental sustainability.
7. Taste Test
While this could now not be foolproof, the taste can also be a trademark of the exceptional quality of organic honey. High-satisfactory honey regularly has a wealthy, complicated taste that reflects the range of vegetation the bees visited. Conducting a taste take a look at may be an enjoyable way to explore one-of-a kind sorts and find the one that suits your palate.
The Final Sip
In the quest for a healthier sweetener, organic honey emerges as the bee's knees—a golden elixir with a large number of blessings. By knowing the dietary advantages and following the manual on deciding on extremely good products, you can appreciate not only the excellent flavor of natural honey but also the pleasure of making a fitness-aware choice. So, the subsequent time you reach for that jar of honey, remember that you are now not simply sweetening your tea; you're indulging in a natural treasure trove of well-being.
After trying just about every over-the-counter solution available, including items to treat eczema, you may be feeling a little defeated in the fight against your toenail fungus. It might be time to consider an alternative route and purchase some Manuka honey, known for its healing properties. But have no fear, the answer to your woes may have been in your kitchen the whole time: Manuka oil! Native to New Zealand, Manuka oil is gaining momentum as a natural solution to this foot-related fungal problem and nail issues, through aromatherapy. This blog post will be exploring the details of why Manuka oil is the perfect weapon to rid your toenails of fungus once and for all! Quick Summary of Key Question Studies have shown that Manuka oil can be an effective natural remedy for treating toenail fungus. However, results may vary, so it is best to consult with your doctor before beginning any treatment. Also visit url below for important information: https://nailfungusworld.com/kerassentials-reviews What is Manuka Oil? Manuka oil is a unique and potent extract derived from the Manuka tree native to New Zealand. This essential oil has been used as a traditional remedy by the native Maoris people for centuries, and recently scientific research has also begun to back up its powerful properties. Manuka oil contains naturally occurring antibiotic components like terpinene-4-ol and gamma-terpinene that are known for their antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory benefits. There’s even evidence that this treasured oil can help support the immune system and create a healthy internal balance. Some have argued that there is still more research needed to determine if using Manuka oil on topical fungal infections like athlete's foot or toenail fungus is truly effective, yet there is still a large body of evidence in favor of this natural remedy. Numerous recent studies have shown positive results, including an analysis published in the Journal of Research in Pharmacy Practice which concluded that Manuka Oil exhibits significant anti-fungal activity against both dermatophytes and Candida species of fungi. No matter what side of the debate one aligns with, it's clear that Manuka oil offers multiple potential health benefits with no significant side effects; so it's worth exploring further as a possible solution for toenail fungus or other skin conditions such as eczema and nail issues. Now that we understand what Manuka oil is, let's uncover how it might be used to treat toenail fungus--although we do not make any claims about its efficacy here. How Does Manuka Oil Treat Toenail Fungus? Manuka oil has become increasingly popular for treating toenail fungus and nail issues due to its natural antifungal properties. This essential oil consists of several components that help fight off the infection and alleviate symptoms. Its purported benefits include its ability to kill fungi and other infections, reduce inflammation, and increase blood circulation in the affected area. Proponents of Manuka oil suggest it can be applied directly to the nail or mixed with a carrier oil for systemic delivery. Some users report that regular applications may prevent further fungal infections, while others contend the effects are only temporary. Those who believe in the benefits point to numerous studies which have found Manuka oil's effectiveness against a variety of bacteria and fungi.On the other hand, more research is needed to confirm its effectiveness against toenail fungus specifically, as well as its potential side effects. No matter what position one takes on this issue, it's clear that Manuka oil is an effective natural solution for managing skin-related issues like ringworm, acne, athlete’s foot, and even foot fungus too. What's more, many users find that Manuka
oil, and even almond oil, are also beneficial when used topically on wounds or minor cuts and scrapes, as they help ward off potential germs and reduce irritation. All of these considerations may make Manuka oil an attractive alternative to over-the-counter medicines, such as Vicks with eucalyptus, for addressing nail fungus infections. With its increasing popularity in the health and wellness community, more research will likely continue to validate its natural healing power. On account of nothing more than the key benefits Manuka oil has to offer, it’s worth considering how this remarkable product might be able to improve your quality of life. Manuka oil offers numerous potential benefits for relieving toenail fungus. The most widely recognized are its antifungal and antiseptic abilities. Antifungal properties can help reduce the size of the infection, notes a study published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. Meanwhile, its antiseptic quality is thought to help kill fungal spores when used topically. Beyond its medicinal properties, Manuka oil has also been studied for its anti-inflammatory benefits, which could reduce discomfort caused by toenail fungus. Key Benefits of Manuka Oil However, not everyone agrees on the efficacy of Manuka oil for treating toenail fungus. Some argue that more research is needed to determine its effectiveness, since there is still limited evidence available on the subject. Yet recent studies have shown promising results and many people have reported positive responses to using Manuka oil as a natural treatment option. The great thing about Manuka oil is that it is entirely natural and much safer than traditional pharmaceutical treatments for toenail fungus. Furthermore, it is non-toxic, meaning that no harsh chemicals or synthetic ingredients will be absorbed into the body by topical applications of this oil. In addition, it has an attractive aroma and doesn’t contain detergents or irritating solvents typically found in other treatments like creams and ointments. Another added benefit is that, like almond oil, it is gentle on the skin. While the debate continues over the effectiveness of Manuka oil as a treatment for toenail fungus, it remains an appealing alternative mainly due to its natural composition and purported health benefits. Its safety profile makes it a viable choice for those who are seeking more gentle remedies than traditional medications offer. Taking this into consideration, it’s clear why some individuals believe that Manuka oil, along with other natural oils like almond oil, may be an effective solution for treating toenail fungus without putting their health at risk. As we delve further into natural solutions, let’s explore another powerful blend: essential oils and homeopathic ingredients in combination with Manuka oil. Manuka oil has been studied for its antifungal, antiseptic, and anti-inflammatory properties that could potentially treat and reduce discomfort caused by toenail fungus, while almond oil offers an additional gentle and soothing component to the overall natural treatment approach.While some experts argue more research is needed to determine its efficacy, many have already reported positive results from using it as a natural treatment. Manuka oil, derived from the leaves of the Manuka plant, is safe, non-toxic, and has an attractive aroma. It may be a viable alternative for those looking for more gentle remedies than traditional pharmaceutical treatments. Additionally, experimenting with a combination of essential oils such as peppermint, lavender, and lemon, homeopathic ingredients like baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, and Manuka oil may yield further promising results, as mentioned in various reviews. A 2017 study found that a combination of tea tree oil and manuka oil was effective in treating onychomycosis (toenail fungus). The same 2017 study found that the anti-fungal efficacy of manuka oil was only marginally inferior to that of commercially available antifungals.
According to a 2018 review, when applied topically, manuka oil can be used to treat onychomycosis with minimal side effects. Crucial Summary Points In addition to the many key benefits of manuka oil, its versatile blend of essential oils and homeopathic ingredients has made it a sought-after remedy for various ailments. Traditional healers have long known the power of combining natural ingredients with one another to get more potent results. The efficacy of manuka oil comes from the combination of chelidonium majus, tea tree oil, and aloe vera. Powerful Blend of Essential Oils and Homeopathic Ingredients The chelidonium majus has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce local pain and swelling, while tea tree oil helps eliminate fungi and bacteria. Aloe vera is also included due to its moisturizing ability, preventing dryness of the infected area and potentially reducing the risk of further infection. For individuals with toenail fungus, using manuka oil provides relief that no single substance can provide on its own. This unique blend works together to fight off infection, reduce inflammation, and promote healing in an environment free from harsh chemicals or toxins. The combination of these substances makes this natural product even more powerful than just relying on a single ingredient. However, it's important to note that no studies have been done to date proving its effectiveness against this particular condition; rather, experts rely on anecdotal evidence and positive reviews arguing for its utilization as a natural remedy where pharmaceuticals may not be suitable or available. By recognizing the powerful blend of essential oils and homeopathic ingredients found in manuka oil, users will be able to reap the maximum benefit from this natural remedy when fighting off fungal infections such as toenail fungus. As beneficial as manuka oil is, however, it is equally important to consider whether or not it is safe for use against this condition - something we will explore next. It is clear that the powerful blend of essential oils and homeopathic ingredients found in Manuka oil makes it a highly effective solution for combating toenail fungus. But the question remains: Is this solution safe? Is Manuka Oil Safe For Toenail Fungus? The answer is, generally speaking, yes. Research has shown that Manuka oil is safe to use when applied topically and as directed by your health care provider or the product’s label. Generally speaking, no side effects have been reported after its use. However, people with allergies and sensitive skin should be careful before using it. It is also important to note that it is best to discuss any use of Manuka oil with your doctor before applying it. Anecdotal evidence of Manuka oil’s safety exists as well, with many individuals claiming visible results even after short-term use. Furthermore, unlike chemical solutions such as ointments, creams, and prescription medications, Manuka oil’s antifungal properties make it a natural and more gentle alternative that can be used on a regular basis without fear of long-term harmful effects. Despite all of this evidence suggesting Manuka oil’s safety and efficacy in treating toenail fungus, however, there are always risks and potential problems associated with any treatment option – regardless of whether it is natural or chemical. With this in mind, understanding how to use this solution properly, such as targeting the nail bed, and carefully monitoring its effects is key to ensuring maximum safety and avoiding any negative outcomes. All taken into consideration, considering the potential risks and problems involved in any treatment for fungal infections such as toenail fungus, Manuka oil offers a natural solution which holds a great deal of promise due to its lack of adverse effects compared to other options out there. As we now know, the evidence surrounding its safety suggests that it does indeed provide viable relief from
this persistent problem – but that doesn't mean that caution shouldn't still be exercised moving forward. Because of this, it's important to take note of possible side effects that may arise from its use, such as interactions with fatty acids, before diving deeper into exploring what Manuka oil can do for you and your condition – which we will learn more about next. The safety of manuka oil for toenail fungus has been largely confirmed, with scientific studies showing its topical application to be non-irritating, even to those with sensitive skin. However, as with any product, it is important to note that there is always a risk of side effects, such as reactions with undecylenic acid, and other potential problems. Does it Have Any Side Effects? Though only anecdotal at this point, some people using manuka oil have experienced minor skin irritation or reaction when applied directly to their feet or toes in a concentrated form. To be safe, consider combining manuka oil with a carrier oil such as jojoba or coconut oil before applying topically. Lessening the concentration of manuka oil can reduce the potential for adverse reactions and problems. In regards to taking manuka oil internally, there is similarly limited research and information available. As such, it is advised that its use should only be done under medical supervision given its highly concentrated nature. Therefore, anyone considering taking manuka oil orally should consult a physician or healthcare provider prior to doing so, to avoid any potential problems. Overall, precautionary measures should always be taken when using natural remedies such as manuka oil for toenail fungus treatment. Although research has found it may provide benefits without much risk of side effects if used externally, more caution should be exercised when considering taking it internally due to lack of sufficient information and studies supporting its efficacy and safety for oral consumption. With this in mind, let’s explore how best to use manuka oil for treating toenail fungus and avoid potential problems. Manuka oil is an effective treatment for toenail fungus and can be used in a variety of ways. To begin, it is recommended that sufferers apply the oil directly to the affected areas, including the nail bed, two times a day with cotton swabs or similar tools. Additionally, some opt to place a few drops of the oil into a warm foot bath for soaking purposes. It is important not to overuse oil, as this can have irritating effects on skin. How to Use Manuka Oil for Toenail Fungus Treatment Manuka oil is an effective treatment for toenail fungus and can be used in a variety of ways. To begin, it is recommended that sufferers apply the oil directly to the affected areas two times a day with cotton swabs or similar tools. Additionally, some opt to place a few drops of the oil into a warm foot bath for soaking purposes. It is important not to overuse oil, as this can have irritating effects on skin. Some users have reported minor skin irritation and itching, though this may subside after continued use and is likely due to an individual’s sensitivity to particular ingredients found within the oil or an allergic reaction. Thus, as with any treatment for specific health issues, it is best to seek medical advice if unsatisfied with the effects of using Manuka oil. Those looking for a solution may find that Manuka oil works well and without major side effects when applied appropriately. Even so, it is always wise to consult with a doctor in order to find the most effective and safest treatment method available. Surprisingly enough, other home remedies exist which can be used in combination with Manuka oil or as single treatments for fungal toe infections. From essential oils to applying vinegar to affected regions, individuals often look to natural alternatives before considering prescription medications. The next section will delve into these treatments more deeply and discuss their potential efficacy in comparison to one another.
Other Home Remedies for Toenail Fungus Treatment Although Manuka oil is an effective home remedy for treating toenail fungus, other natural treatments exist. Natural products such as tea tree oil, oregano oil, and garlic are known for their antifungal properties and have traditionally been used to treat skin and nail infections due to their ability to penetrate deeply into the tissue. Studies have even found that a combination of tea tree oil and olive oil can be helpful in eliminating toenail fungus. However, not all evidence supports the effectiveness of these treatments. A study in 2011 reported that none of the natural oils tested reduced fungal infection significantly more than a placebo treatment. Additionally, some essential oils are considered toxic and should never be ingested orally or applied directly to the infected area without diluting with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or castor oil. As always, it is important to consult a doctor before trying any natural remedies or treatments. Ultimately, there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to treating toenail fungus; some people may find success using natural solutions while others may need prescription medications from their doctor's office.
