Hey 🧡 congrats on your lw! Do you have any tips to share from your experience? And how long did it take to lose?
Thanks! Literally count your calories, don’t go over your limit, eating 0 junk food, 0 gluten, full pescatarian, 5k-10k+ steps everyday and 10-30min ab workouts everyday. It took be about 8 months from my starting weight to get to where I am now. I had binges, times where I fell off, gave up, did great, lost and gained. It was a journey.

I got an ask about how to speed up metabolism but i accidentally deleted it while I was trying to save it to my drafts, so I’m sorry about that.
Tips for speeding up ur metabolism!!
1. Exercise. It's the most obvious yet the most effective way to speed up your metabolism. If moving seems hard to you, just think of all the calories you could be burning while doing each movement.
2. Caffeine. Coffee, energy drinks, kopiko, green tea, anything with caffeine has been shown to increase metabolism by 3-11%. Be careful not to have more than 400mg of caffeine a day, especially when your not eating much as the effects can be stronger usually not in a good way.
3. Cold temperatures. Anything that's cold such as a cold room, cold drink, or cold shower like you mentioned will temporarily speed up your metabolism as your body uses that energy to warm you up. This has been proven true, but I don't think it makes a noticeable difference if i'm honest.
4. Eat protein. One component of your metabolism is known as TEF (thermic effect of food) or DIT (dietary induced thermogenesis). Basically this means that ur body burns a % of the calories in the food just by digesting it. Contrary to popular belief, not all calories are made equal. Fat provides 9 calories per gram, and its TEF is 0-3%. Carbohydrate provides 4 calories per gram, and its TEF is 5-10%. Protein also provides 4 calories per gram, but it's TEF is 20–30%. So yeah protein is best.
5. Water. Cold water can speed up your metabolism, but drinking water in general will help you lose weight and reduce bloating.
Sorry again for deleting ur question 🫠 i hope the person who asked ends up seeing this lol

Learning self control is so hard. ⭐️ving is romanticized on here but it’s really hard! Especially knowing there’s food around you ALL THE TIME! I feel like we need more people that are honest about the struggle.
