absolutely devastated to learn today that 123guestbook, staple of the early internet, is shutting down on July 1st (locking guestbooks on June 1st, unclear if they'll be deleted a month after that but presumably so)

If you have a 123guestbook embedded in your site, now is the time to start archiving it, if you want to keep those old guest posts! (please note that the Wayback Machine will almost certainly not preserve 123guestbooks on old archived sites, since they are externally hosted)

if anyone has a recommendation for another guestbook btw (or shoutbox I guess) I'm all ears, my criteria are basically custom colours, not shady af, and allows me to moderate it personally instead of some kind of automation. I'm also looking for a secondary one that allows nsfw in their TOS, which seems to be a big ask these days :/

well that's easy cos i just answered the same question on twitter! laskdjfdf maybe i shoulda put it lower.....

anyway cut reversed dialog, i'm just gonna copy paste my anser: in cut content there's more reversed/broken social links (ala p3)-- and in addition to the cut confession lines from yosuke's sl, if you talk to yukiko she say's this if yosuke's link is reversed (something true for other romanceable links)

i'll also explain some of the things below the iceberg

Drama CD #3: all of the drama cds basically have some souyo flirting but i think this one stands out (self plug); i don't think most people have actually listened to the drama cds so that's why it's down here

pulling Minato aside: this is just a random occurrence in PQ- requires to be doing the P3 route, only happens when you're going into a dungeon and Yosuke is not in your party, and rng for him to be the one to approach and not any another character; so it's down here cos i doubt many people have seen this rare event

souyo alarm clock: this one just makes me feral it exists (and i don't have it!!!!!!!!)

PQ2 trailer: this one is way down here cos i am fully delusional but it keeps me up at night why did they do this

(the aigis is about the pq2 dungeon not the character; the right ss is a compiled video of all the trailers but it's the order they were put out)

Having a parent in their 60s that’s an avid gamer but still endearingly kinda boomer-ish about it is hilarious my mom has a sizable Steam library and the other day she flagged me down asking me “What are all these pop ups?? They’re so annoying!” Turns out it was all the achievements for this game she’s been blasting through. A few days later she sent me a blurry photo of her computer screen on archive.org alongside a text asking “What’s an ISO image?” then a follow-up text 20 minutes later with a blurry photo of her playing the game with an addendum of “nevermind I found a guide on Reddit”

#back in the MySpace days my brother & I taught her basic html skills and how to not explode your computer w viruses when downloading cursor #and she’s been a menace ever since LOL #soon I’m gonna teach her how to use emulators

It's multimedia: including pictures, emails, articles, audio files (with transcripts), documents, a video, and more. FAIZA is based on older web aesthetics and has a lot of website to wander through, with several styles being explored throughout. (It's also a bit comedic so please enjoy that as well.) It works well on both desktop and mobile!

This project took so much time and I really love it! And I would be very happy if someone out there liked it too. Even if it's not for you I would appreciate a reblog just so I can find someone who might enjoy it. Ok, thanks for reading!

Dummy’s First Html (for Ao3 users)

Ba pa paaaaa anyway if you use or intend to use ao3 to post and you need the most basic help with adding images, gifs, hyperlinks and such, like if you have heard of html but haven’t really encountered it beyond the most basic <i>italicization</i>, there are lots of sites like this that break down what html tags do and how to play around with them.

If you want to play around with html tags without feeling the pressure to test it out directly on your story, I suggest opening the above website on half your screen and a live-editing site like Liveweave on the other, which lets you poke around with html and CSS and lets you see if your efforts pay off in real time. It’s free to make an account if you want to save something for later, but also you don’t need one to play around with it.

The things I use the most when posting fic are:

img (adds images to a post)

hyperlink (just send the suckers straight there!)

and, of course, trusty <b>bold</b> and <i>italicised</i>

I genuinely will just search ‘html img’ tag, go into one of the websites with the sample code, copy-paste the code and adjust it for my own purposes whenever I want to, say, add a reaction gif to an ao3 comment.

There are obviously fancier things you can do with html than add a “look at the fields in which I grow my fucks, Anakin” prequels gif (I’m very fond of this hover-text effect for additional languages in a fic), but if you’re scared of coding or have never encountered it before, here’s some easy first HTML for newbies. I learned a lot of things in my master’s level web development course, but ao3 is probably all I will use it for lol. Enjoy!

the past couple days i have been putting so much work into a little lore puzzle-ish thing only to now remember that like 3 people will see it because nobody looks at desktop themes anymore

#trousled rambles #i think. i will be turning off the default mobile theme option 😊 #will it likely make the thing a little bit miserable for mobile users because this specific theme is Extremely catered to a desktop? yeah #but. well maybe that is a necessary evil for fucking with html and searching the ends of the earth for workarounds where it's outdated #everything always caters to mobile users nowadays anyway yall can get on a laptop !!!!!!!! #its a theme from 2015 btw. in case you were wondering what kind of hell i put myself in #but i have looked for alternatives so many times and everything else is even WORSEEE #the only music player i could find capable of more than 1 song was so out of theme it was genuinely too jarring to keep #i tried the good old scm music player and it didnt even WORRRRKKK #i respect ppl who have neocities n stuff so much bc i think any more than this very basic code editing i'm doing would kill me dead

Definitely tell me about it! I just. I dont know how github works at all? I think it's probably glaringly obvious that I'm a total noob at all of this, and anything fancy is most definetely something i drafted my sister into explaining to me.

I tend to be, uh, a little possessive, about the script project, so contributions would need to meet my standards (even if i occasionally fail them myself), but i'd be delighted if others want to help out! Or if you have ideas on how to format things better!

I mainly run it on neocities because it's easy to use and also free..... i sincerely doubt I'm ever going to pass the 1gb free site limit, considering that the entire page so far takes up 0.3% of that.
