Ooo... I didnt like this part at all... Instead of making the choice she just runs off. Then because the plot demands it, Adam says nothing. Kinda whish she atleast avoided the question, maybe in some way that would require actual thinking? For a character like Vaggie, she could choose either way and it feel like it's still her. If she chose to protect Charlie's dream, she would still be perfectly loyal to her but in the act of so would reveal a secret that could harm their relationship(which does happen at the end but that's because the plot wanted it like that). If she chose to side with Adam, she'd be hurting Charlie emotionally, sure, but it would keep a secret that could make Charlie see Vaggie less than who she is to her already(atleast what Vaggie might think would happen). Imo it should've been her deciding to protect Charlie, since it would mean she's devoted to her at all times.

ANOTHER THING! IF SHE COULDN'T MAKE THE CHOICE, THAT IS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GO INTO. Maybe it could go deeper into how Vaggie doesn't know who she is without Charlie. So when she has a choice to make, like here, she can't do it without feeling the need to ask Charlie. BUT NOOO, YA HAD TO GO WITH THIS!! Wow. That was a long ass rant. Wtf 😭

Maybe I'm a dumbass. Maybe they'll talk about that next episode, but still, atleast touch on it a bit to not seem rushed?

Everyone fears to be like Lucifer. If they don't do bad things they believe are for the greater good and make sacrifices that put them higher than those in hell, they could themselves be fallen. It's really interesting but I don't know if it's going to be fleshed out enough with the amount of episodes left. Which also worries me about everything else that still hasn't be concluded. There's gonna be loose strings I just know it. Hopefully though they rather do that then rush everything out y'know?

I want the next episode to be mostly focused on Vaggie and Charlie's relationship and the healing of what happened. Not for the entire episode of course, it would feel drawn out if it did, but atleast address the problem for the first like I would say 10 minutes? Then the rest would focus on one or two loose threads while also having Vaggie and Charlie acting upon moving on. That's just my idea but yeah-

Husk and Angel Dust- Growing Up

Before anything starts. Let’s establish how these two gay dads treat their adoptive teenage child!

Husk is a doting and caring but also strict and wise father. He gives off the most brutal but truthful advice and reality facts. He is a loving parent and won’t tolerate his child being mistreated or bullied so you can always turn to him when upset or in need for help, he is emotionally intelligent and protective after all

Angel, on the other hand, is the most affectionate and mindful father you’ll ever meet and have. He isn’t the one to deal out the punishments, he’s the fun one. Playing with his child, giving them unconditional love, support and encouragement but he is also quite protective. He will come running at the drop of a hat

Whilst both Husk and Angel encourage their kid to be independent and not rely so much on them, they aren’t a fan of letting you out on your own. You are still fifteen and therefore, completely vulnerable to this nightmarish hellfire realm called H E double hockey sticks

However, you’re determined to prove to both of your dads that you’re capable of defending yourself and be an adult so you’ve been recently sneaking out of your home and going around Pentagram City. On your own, no protective powerful Overlord father or protective infamous actor father

You’ve been doing it for weeks now. Going behind your dads’ back to prove to yourself, then to anybody, your complete and utter independence… but of course, all good things must end

And both of your dads had caught you escaping the house through the window and your beloved partner, a demon you fell in love with and begun dating in secret, just waiting in the backyard of your home whilst you climb out

Husk is very annoyed and ordering you to explain yourself, not at all happy with what you’ve done whilst Angel is dragging you off the windowsill and is resisting the urge to cry since his heart is broken

Your dads fend off your lover, not wanting to deal with them at this moment whilst they are trying to scold their child for doing this… and yes. This causes a big old fight with your parents. You just wanted to prove that you can handle yourself whilst your dads aren’t happy that you did something so reckless and harmful to yourself

Husk takes a bit longer to own up to his accident. Making you cry and angrily go to bed. You’re nearly a legal adult and they are shackling you… Angel can sense how you feel and immediately apologies for his lashout and tries to encourage his husband to do the same thing

When they do. They talk to you, accepting and encouraging, to try make a compromise inbetween you wanting to go outside at night to have fun with your lover, and talking to them and informing them about your location so you three will be happy

Husk lays down the must text them rule with this accommodation himself and his husband have made for you, their precious baby, that you must follow this at all causes whilst Angel is actually excited about you going to have fun on your own but begs you to inform either himself or his husband if anything bad happens to you

They just love you… please. Give them a break, they’ll try their best to let you do whatever you want on your own… as long as they know you’re okay

I've got another headcanon from my deeply self indulgent Huskerdust babies au! Putting under a cut for those not comfortable with male presenting pregnancy

So I'm a huge fan of the headcanon I've seen in a few places that it was Lucifer who carried and gave birth to Charlie. It's adorable and I think it's a good way to overcome Lilith's curse to never have a living child. Also I love the idea that angels and imps and non human beings have no concept of gender and it doesn't matter to them at all.

All this to say, I headcanon that when Angel Dust is pregnant, he doesn't want to go down to the Sloth ring and the hospitals there, he feels way safer in the Hotel. So when the time comes for him to have the twins, it's Lucifer who actually delivers them, seeing as he's done it before himself. The idea of him getting to be the one who welcomes the first Hell born sinners and really connect with the people he's the king of, it's so healing for him. He's got tears in his eyes as he gets to tell Husk and Angel that they have a little girl and then a little boy, and having the twin spiderbabies grow up to affectionately call him Uncle Lucie, he's just glowing with pride.

The young women in Hazbin Hotel are so infantilized by the fandom.

Yes, it's true that any noncanon ship on the show will be contested, even the least toxic ones. However, people try to prevent any other ships with the girls; especially Velvette and Nifty. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen people trying to stop others from ships involving them.

It's constantly, "Nifty is like a child. That's weird!" or "She's like Alastor's daughter" or "Husk and Angel are like her dads". I'm sorry, but that's not canon, so you can't just use that to justify attacking others for their ships. I get it, okay. Nifty is small with a high-pitched voice and acts childish and sensitive at times. But she also has moments where she acts adult. For instance, her whole "bad boy punishing" thing or her getting drunk. And you can view her as a daughter-figure if you like, but don't make that everyone else's problem. She's a full-grown adult, but any ships or adult treatment of her by the fandom gets flamed because she seems "childish".

It's especially annoying because fans can't make the argument that either Nifty or Velvette are "in a canon ship already" like they could with Chaggie or Huskerdust or Lilifer. Their only reasoning against ships with them is the whole child thing.

Then there's Velvette. Most of the fanart I see of her involving the other Vees makes her very small and cutesy and want to portray her as a "daughter" to Vox and Valentino. (I'm sensing a common theme here with the whole "daughter thing"). I've heard that Vivziepop has confirmed Velvette to be in her thirties so that would be a very odd dynamic if she was so grown and close in age to Vox and Valentino. Valvox is basically canon, but some people ship the three Vees in a poly ship or some variation. It's all in good fun but people are attacked for it because they view Velvette as a child.

With Charlie, she actually is a daughter figure, so debates here are a bit more grounded in reality. She is Lucifer's child and has that dynamic going for her. Alastor also called himself a father figure to her out of the blue, though Vivzie confirmed that he was being manipulative to Lucifer and doesn't actually view himself that way. Charlie is also in a canon ship, which gives people ammunition against those who subscribe to non-canon ships.

If the woman in the show is "young" and isn't a mother like Carmilla or Lilith, then fans treat her like a child. Can people just enjoy their headcanons for themselves and quit weaponizing them against non-canon ships?

9 FANDOM PEEPS TO GET TO KNOW BETTER

Tagged by @grayintogreen and I never typically do these but why not, you know

3 Ships You Like: Widomauk (Critical Role), Stucky (Marvel mcu and I gusss in the comics as well but that would really only apply to post ice Steve due to the whole 'thats your teenage sidekick' thing), and hm...let's go real old school and say Anastasia/Dimitri from both the movie and the musical. I've got other ships I'm interested in, I can give you several more from CR alone, but it's hard to say if there's some sort of pattern that I can pick up with what I like and get interested in. Like there's definitely ships I feel like I SHOULD like and certainly understand buy just... don't. I guess.

3 (Hazbin/Helluva) Ships You Like: okay okay okay. So, Huskerdust, M&M, both of which feel like no brainers. I really enjoy Chaggie and Cherrisnake, and I am fascinated by the deeply fucked up dynamic between Stolas and Blitzø. Look, I can see and angle for a lot of stuff here, I'm not gonna be picky.

Unless Valentino is involved. Fuck that guy, he sucks, Vox deserves better.

First Ship Ever: oh God, okay, I thiiiiink if we're not going with baby's first Mary Sue esque OCs and character I like, the first was Tobias/Rachel in Animorphs. It's at least the earliest I remember, and it still punches me in the gut. I might like my happy endings but sometimes you just need a ship that ends like a sucker punch to the gut.

Last Song You Heard: Mad World by Tears for Fears. I really like Tears for Fears and a lot of 80s New Wave music in general.

Favourite Childhood Book: OKAY LET'S THINK FOR A SECOND. CUZ THERE WERE A BUNCH. GOD. When I was real young I was a big fan of the Madeline series, the Babar books, the writings of William Steig (particularly The Bone)... there's this book called Ruth's Bake Shop that I adored, and this book called Messy Jessie that was very relatable...

But I adored the Animorphs books. So much. I got into those in the 4th grade after my favorite teacher introduced me to them and I was absolutely hooked. What a series. Honestly, I wanna reread em.

(Honorable mention to the HP series, which feels a little bit tainted now given everything but I really liked as a kid.)

Currently watching: I'm so bad at watching TV for the most part, especially by myself. But I'm rewatching Hazbin and am planning to do so for Helluva as well. I watch CR and d20 weekly, I watch a lot of Game Grumps, and I also tend to watch a lot of Mst3k and Rifftrax. Also, Julia Child. Lots of Julia Child.

Currently Consuming: I'm ALSO bad at eating in any way resembling consistent or healthy behavior...but I'm working on improving that. Right now I'm having two pieces of toast with ricotta.

Currently Craving: oh God, so many things at different times, all the time. I'm trying to develop better eating habits in general (and need to make myself cook more but the combination of my much loathed job sucking all my energy and my much enjoyed but poorly times gym classes get me home later than I'd like makes it difficult)... I guess right now I'm craving Moe's, I enjoy their burritos a lot and their El Guapo salsa is one of my favorites. Like I'd eat that shit all the time if I could.

(lol I've never been too into the fan child craze, but I've seen some good ones and decided to do my own! Went a little overboard b/c I have like 5 more...)

This is Lucy, one of the MANY children I've came up with for AngelHusk.

Little things about her:

- Loves Magenta and hot pink

- Has Husks alcohol tolerance, can clean out a whole bar and only leave tipsy

- Runs a casino/bar/hotel with her siblings, is the manager

FINALLY DONE!!! HUSKERDUST FAN CHILD!

omfg I’m so bad at drawing “humanoid” figures but I tried my best and it took me ages. Might make a fanfic out of it. (Extra pics and facts below the cut)

Husk is trans ftm.

Husk carried Mira.

Mira came out as a Demi girl(she/they) at 12, everyone supported them.

During pregnancy, Husk took it as an opportunity to sleep all day every day.

Angel wouldn’t stop calling their future baby “un miracolo” so they were already used to calling them that when she was born.

Once Mira learned to crawl, you couldn’t stop them. They were super fast with all four arms.

Mira’s eye placements are loosely inspired by Arackniss’.

Crymini is like the cool older sister who visits at least once a month to hang out.

Cherri and Fizzerolli(this au is deeper than it seems) are the cool aunt and uncle(they’re not together).

Charlie and Vaggie are the godparents.

Valentino doesn’t know.

Husky has refused to let Alastor even be in the same room as Mira unless it is the lobby of the hotel.

Arackniss visits whenever he can.

Fat Nuggets is very protective of Mira.

Nifty is a good big sister but is not allowed alone with Mira.

Features:

retractable second and third pair of arms, she only rarely uses the third pair and they didn’t know that she had them for ages.

She can’t jump as high as Angel, but she is still half jumping spider so it’s still pretty impressive.

Retractable wings, she rarely uses them but can fly(just not very well, Husk is teaching them)

Glowing pink eyes and tongue

Maybe more but I’m tiered

I will never understand when fans say that Huskerdust is predatory, when Angel is a literal mid 30 year old man. Plus, again they don’t age once they’re in hell so as long as, literal adult demons are not dating child or childlike (late teenage demons) demons then the ships are fine.

Like Alastor was in his teens when Angel was born but since they’re close in age it works, but husk and angel were born around the same time too and again they’re both adults so it works. The ships that I would say are problematic is the husk x crymini ones, because she’s still 19 and viv pulled a tom holland kind of spoiler and hinted that husk will be a dad figure to her. So yeah.

I dont really like to treat a 19 year old as if they're 15. Crymini is an adult. Yeah, she died while 19, but she's def much older mentally. This thought goes along with the others like Angel or Vaggie. Let's not treat an adult like a child, especially when this young adult did something pretty heinous to end up in Hell.

Not saying that Husk and Crymini will get together, just saying that in general. I'm sure Husk is not the oldest Sinner there. She's 19. I'm sure she's well aware of her actions.

Not saying this isn't possibly problematic...if you squint, but it's just kinda odd to call something like that problematic, especially when the setting is in Hell. And, again, she's 19, not 10.

That's just me tho. You're free to think otherwise, but better not call me a pedo for this shit because you are using that word incorrectly.

WIP of Dusk (colored coming soon), the 12 year old fan daughter of HuskerDust and the younger half sister of Victoria. A wild carefree child who loves hunting, and roughhousing. Has four arms but she hides her extras under her cloak.

If there’s anything she loves more than hunting, it’s her dad, Husk, her “mom” Angel, and eventually her older sister, Victoria.

Angel conceived her to get back at Val for tricking him into getting pregnant with Tori.

Dusk can fly but can only fly over a few buildings.

Owns a pig charm Angel gave her on the night of her birth.

Her love for raw meat and blood comes from Alastor who fed her deer blood and flesh when she wouldn’t stop crying as a baby
