omg ok first thank you so much for your sweeet words they mean so much to me. i know that sounds like the generic appropriate response but i really mean it, having ppl enjoy not just my content but me just being myself is really so important to me and it really makes me feel so happy. but about not feeling like ur content is worthy, i’m gonna tell you i struggle with that every single day bestie. if i let myself delete content i end up thinking is ugly, or if i only posted things i felt confident in this blog wouldn’t have like 90% of the content it does. and you are right that if you just practice things can get better, and i know it sounds ridiculous coming from a blog that does get notes but making content really is for yourself at the end of the day. i also think that when it comes to gif making people are both afraid to give constructive criticism to help others improve and get any kind of criticism because it’s something you put effort into already. sometimes i see content and i want to be like oh hey if you just adjust this setting your gifs wouldn’t be so grainy or like if you use this you can adjust the coloring better. but it feels mean (even though i never have those thoughts in a mean way) and also hypocritical cause i don’t like a lot of my own stuff for the same reasons xjxndn i don’t think you should give up on making content tho, i think most people would be willing to give tips or tutorials on how they do things to help make your gifs come out how you want them. also everyone starts out as a small blog, this blog is only like 2 1/2 years old and i think the only thing that truly matters if you want your following to grow is presence. i think posting consistently (not all the time just frequently enough to be in tags enough for ppl to start to remember your url) and being a vocal part of the fandom is all it takes. i personally find myself drawn to following blogs of people who talk about themselves, or express their thoughts on things more than say someone who makes content and is completely silent or just negative. i think having people learn about you is important to growing. now i’m not saying sharing your entire life, but for a silly example the number of times i see ppl in my tags being like “oh i bet dreamy giffed this for how his nose looked” because i’m so crazy about chris’ nose makes me feel nice, like someone is associating something with me specifically. i hope that makes any sense lmao, i think it just makes ME feel like the people i’m interacting with are real and i think that’s what people want out of blogs, a connection even if it’s a little one sided. sorry this is so long winded but my POINT is you shouldn’t feel intimidated or discouraged by the idea of making content just because your blog is small or you don’t think your content is “good enough” the beginning of creating and really starting to find your place in a fandom space is always the hardest, but the rewards of finding friends and learning how to get better at making content is really worth it. it’s given me a lot of my best friends outside of fandom, and it’s given me skills i’ve used outside of tumblr, so i cannot really praise it enough. ok i am shutting up now but if you ever want help or advice i’m totally here for you 🖤🤍

why do i choose to stop writing all my works? 

to be honest, writing has been so tough for me (for the kpop community) and it is really making me self-conscious because of the negative reaction of non fanfiction readers to us, fanfiction readers + writers.

it is so tiring to justify and prove your point of view that you never intend to dehumanize idols in anyway and that you only wanted to use them as mere placeholders. and the fact that i post stories that are way out of the picture, obviously i’m attacked lmao but i don’t necessarily mean that whenever i write a yandere!jeno, he is a yandere in real life. 

but it’s just so tiring to see posts that are offensive and overall below the belt (e.g saying we’re weird, etc.) that is why i have decided to stop.

also, no matter how hard i try to finish my works, i cannot finish them lol

also, school is starting for me and i have too much stuffs placed on my plate and i don’t have the time to write and justify myself here at the same time

overall, i am happy to grow well in this blog and in a span of months, I have reach a big milestone, (thank you for 1k, up to this day, it still makes me happy) thank you for the big support!

i will not close this blog because it is my main and i might post occasional works, especially in the two collabs that i joined (when inspiration hit me at a random time, who knows? i might release parts of the ai series?)

mila & sunwoo reporting for duty !! okay so true story i’m writing this as my acceptance is getting posted ... and you guys’ welcome messages are popping in like crazy ?? you guys are fast ... i’m shook ! anyways, it’s so nice to meet you all ! i am mila, and i was here for a v v short time before w another muse but it was so uneventful we’re gonna skip over it lmao ? anywho !

the star of the show is mr. kim sunwoo, our film student at k-arts who eats food and gets  scared in his free time ! if i’m being honest he .... doesn’t know what he’s doing at all, literally at all, but that’s what character development’s for !! i’m gonna put some info about him down below, and click for his profile, bio, socials, and the saddest plots page i have ever seen in life ( i had 5 minutes ok it’s a wip .... more is coming i promise >.< ) but anywho i’m excited to meet all of you and i will stop talking all of your ears off !! oh yeah ... and like this to plot with me !

i’m gonna quite literally skip over all his backstory because it sums it all up in the bio and if i start then i’ll never stop !! 

but as a VERY short summary, sunwoo’s mom gave him up almost immediately after he was born because she was young & didn’t think she could care for him, sunwoo bounced through the system before eventually being placed with his permanent home & now adoptive mother, kim hyejin !!

and him being left as a kid & getting bounced from foster home to foster home really left a toll on him, and now he really craves clear acceptance and affection ?

sidenote kim hyejin is actually quite older, in her mid-60′s, so she looks more like his grandma than mom ?? which is ... confusing to a lot of people a lot of the time, and he gets tired of the questions but loves her to death ! i’m also so making it canon she looks like moon sook the actress because .... a BEAUTY ?? we stan aging gracefully !!!

he’s also hesitant to call her mom bc he has this undying faith he’ll reunite w his mother, even now so you’ll see him bounce between calling her mom & ms. kim !!

but not to spoil anything sunwoo will discover later but uh ... his relationship w his mom won’t be restored, at least not in the way he wants :((

but onto general sunwoo things !!

( and as a general note, if i refer to his “mom”, i’m referring to his adoptive mom, hyejin kim, unless stated otherwise ! i don’t want to confuse you guys ! )

creator of the channel “scream cuisine”, where he eats food while telling scary stories / conspiracy theories, and gives commentary !! definitely a paranormal enthusiast, with the unbothered energy of shane from buzzfeed unsolved w the hyperactivity of ryan ?? starting his channel def got him into making videos & he’s loved it ever since !

but more than anything, his biggest love is writing ! has a little personal blog where he writes random things spanning from poems to kpop album reviews lmao !! he wanted to be a journalist, but got into k-arts on the biggest whim ever after they apparently liked his video submission ?? so was like ok ... for now we’ll go with that !!

so currently he’s attending k-arts, and honestly finds it quite weird because he doesn’t really fit in w the passion a lot of the other students have for film ?? some of them are like v intense about it while he just sort of does it bc it’s fun ??

inherited a variety of skills from his mom ! these include painting, gardening, cooking, and a love for music ! so he can dabble a bit in all of them ! he’s honestly an overgrown grandma if we’re being honest, it’s what he gets for being raised a generation behind everyone else his age

he actually does love to sing !! ballads more than anything in terms of things he sings himself, but loves jamming to upbeat pop songs more than most things in this world !! he has a softer / higher voice, and though he has a really nice tone he has no professional training so he’s sort of just ... out here doing him ??

and see !!! this is the problem ! if you couldn’t tell already sunwoo literally has a thousand interests, and small talents, but none that really are screaming out at him ?? so his lack of intense passion for something is really frustrating ! he hasn’t been able to find himself yet and is constantly upset at himself for it.

if he knows you, sunwoo KNOWS you - he’ll be super friendly, always talking, etc !! though surprisingly, if sunwoo doesn’t know you he can become super introverted ? not because he doesn’t want to talk, but he is just more conscious of how he presents himself to you !

sunwoo def has chaotic tik tok boy energy ... he has been left with his phone for too long and his brand deteriorated bc of it ... i apologize if he just starts doing tik tok dances or makes weird references in the middle of serious convos it’s his coping mechanism

he does have a rbf but it’s so misleading ?? like this man is SUCH  a soft boy and yet when he is zoning out he’s like  😡 but then u talk to him and he’s like  😊 

also romance wise, he loves tsundere boys and strong-minded girls that are older than him ?? do i know why ?? i do not !! it just happened this way

he’s honestly so supportive, will stan everyone ?? and when i mean everyone, i mean yes even your random muse who walks past him one time without saying anything ?? he just has developed a v empathetic and loving personality despite his circumstance, and honestly kinda because of it ??

he loves video games, but unfortunately, he’s literally terrible on them ?? tried being a twitch gaming streamer before being gifted $1 by someone, only to have them send a message being like “u suck” so he was like ok wrong choice !!!

if i had to say the chance of sunwoo realizing his potential to be an idol, i would say 3.21%!!!! lmAO listen as much as he likes singing, and he likes attention, he just ... hasn’t really connected the dots ? he’d be the type to audition for fun but like ? he also does a lot of other things for fun he’s really not considering it as a thing for real yet ??

but !! he is about to start taking dance classes because he’s trying to lose this college weight so if anyone wants to help him or join him on this journey be our guest !!

oh !!! right he has a pomeranian named banana, but he calls her nana, and when i tell you this dog is his pride and joy he will never be prouder of anything more than he will be the day he adopted her ??? she’s 2, a diva, and bites him at least a few times a day but if you ask him he’ll say that’s her love language !!!

speaking of love ... phew this man is a lovebug !! goes though crushes like the flu - it comes fast, it hits him hard, and then goes away just like that. chances are if you know him he’s had a crush on you at some point of time or still do ? don’t worry i promise he won’t make it awkward !

anyway i feel like this was an overload of very chaotic information but sunwoo’s an incredibly chaotic overload of energy so !! very in character of me if i do say so myself ... i’m gonna let sunwoo speak for himself and hopefully we can get something going !! i’ve been so excited to bring him here & have been doing a lot of work so i hope he’s taken to well here !! i can’t wait to meet your muses :’))

1. what was your first encounter with fanfiction? asjdfk god it was atl fic on livejournal and mibba in like 2010 maybe?? idek but it was all slash fic like had literally not heard of reader insert until i joined the sos fam properly in 2018. also don’t remember what my reaction to it was?? reading slash fic has been so normal for me for like 10 yrs i dont know how the fcuk it started 😂 this was before i got tumblr but i used to keep up to date with some of the bigger atl blogs like it was the morning news or sumat and like 90% of them wrote amazing fic so 🤷‍♀️

10. this is a bit of a difficult one, but have you ever had a moment of clarity, a conversation with someone that made you go “oh!”, or anything along those lines? ooh i mean in 2018 i was working an office job in engineering and had a moment of like wow ive always wanted to work in events and especially live music and ive wanted to since i was like 13 and here i am 10 years later still considering that as a potential career path so ig it means something pretty significant and i decided to leave my perm job last year and go temp but then. yeah. this year happened so 🥴🤷‍♀️

hi :) i’m having a lot of trouble typing myself. i thought i had finally found my type (ENFP) but i’m questioning it all over again. i’ve been trying to for almost 3 years and i can’t come to a conclusion. and that’s because i’ve mistyped myself with almost all types (except for INFP and ESTJ because i have friends who i really think are infps and i can’t see myself as one and estj just seems unreal to fit me). i’m kinda sure i’m an Ne dom so the problem here is the difference between Fi and Ti. i was reading some things on reddit about the difference between Fi and Ti and i thought i probably had Fi but then i read something somewhere about how Fi and Fe morals are different and i thought that maybe i actually have Ti-Fe. i also watched the video of a girl who thought she was an entp but actually is an enfp and i was like “then am i an entp?”. the stereotypes are a huge problem to me because, because of them, i can’t see myself as a type i could possibly be. for example, everyone says enfps care more about being themselves than entps but a kpop idol (Dahyun from Twice) is typed as entp and on a reality show (Sixteen) she said she wanted to be herself and show that to the judges. i also want to be myself and show that to my friends and family does that make me an Fi-user? it’s so weird how one time i see myself totally having Ti-Fe and the other i see myself having Fi-Te. i can’t come to a conclusion. plus, there’s the famous stereotype that entps don’t care about people but one thing i’ve struggled a lot (and still struggle a little) is caring about what other people would think of me and how i wanted to be myself without feeling like i’m being judged. the truth is i am being myself almost all the time but for some reason, some times i get self conscious about it. also in the “care about people” subject i really care about my friends. i try to make them happy in any way i can, when they vent on our group chat i always try to help them and i like to write for them on their birthdays (even though i’m really bad at it lmao). maybe i’m not even enfp or entp and i’m just falling into the misunderstanding of functions (AGAIN for the millionth time). can you help me TRULY know which functions i have without saying the same things everyone says about these functions? thank you in advance and sorry for any mistakes, my first language is not english. (plus idk if this info will help but i’m 16 years old and i’ll make 17 this year)

If you are 16, don’t sweat your type. Wait until you hit college. Either tert-Fe (make everyone like me, think I can talk my way out of anything by using charm), or tert-Te (start proving things with facts / research, setting and making goals, paying attention to time management and deadlines) will kick in.

Day dreaming and worrying. So much worrying...

2. What makes your day better?

Knowing that I'm cared for and appreciated by someone who means a lot to me. And food 😅

3. What's the best thing that happened to you today?

One of the horses at our rescue followed me around the pasture the entire time I was out there and I'd be damned if I didn't melt! Mayhaps I really missed working on a farm 🤗

4. What fictional place would you like to go to?

Questions like these are hard cause I'm over here like okay the maze runner universe would be pretty dope, but what about shadow hunters! Oof wHat AboUt TeEN WoLf!! The possibilities are endless! :0

5. Are you good at giving advice?

Mm yeah, sometimes. Other times I feel like my advice is complete shit lmao.

Depression and Anxiety, both diagnosed.

8. What musician inspired you the most?

I feel like Shawn Mendes really inspired me the most. I know there's a good handful of people that became famous from song covers on YouTube and all that, but I really like the way Shawn Mendes has stuck to him and his guitar for the most part, especially on tour. His voice is something relaxing and unique that I can get behind. And he's such a down to earth person, I'd love to meet him sometime and tell him he's doing amazing and how much he's helped me through his music!

10. What's your dream date?

Honestly? Roadtripping to the desert or anywhere that's far from light pollution and spending a night under the stars. Just talking and tangled in each other, sometimes just staying silent and listening to the sounds of the night around us. Maybe our playlist is playing softly in the background and the campfire we started has burned out hours ago, while we lay on the trucks tailgate admiring the sky. Oof, I'm gonna cry I want this so bad 😭

Weirdly, my nose? Literally everyone always talks about my nose! I don't know why but it's kinda weird. And my eyes.

Letting people walk all over me because I'm too nice sometimes.

I think it all depends on the situation. If a young female is raped or wasn't educated properly about safe/protected sex, then I'd say she's more than free to go through with it. But of course, if you're gonna fool around yet know about protected sex, and not use a condom? I think that's your personal problem and you should experience what other mother's who have planned to have kids have gone through. But again, I personally think abortion depends on the situation and shouldn't be the easy way out.

Yeah! And the list gets longer and longer and longer....

Nah, I've got too much music to have a specific favorite album!

As I said before, I don't really care if I marry or not. But if I did find someone I'd want to marry, generally speaking, around 30 would be a good age for me. I'd want to make sure I'm financially stable and happy where I am in my life before taking such a step like marriage.

First it was Figure skater, then I wanted to be an Equestrian. I stuck with the animal career cause I wanted to be a vet, and here I am in college for that exact reason!

First surgery: okAY so like i've had 2 procedures done on my eyes lmaooo like (1) when i was a smol beb of like 1 yr old i rolled off my bed aaaannnnddd the corner of my eye hit the edge of the sharp corner of the bedside table!!! and then y1ke$ things got ugly loll (((yes, i wuz dum + clumsy since the day i popped from the womb))) its all stitched up now and i hav a tinie tinie scar aslkdgs okay and (2) there was something weird abt my tearducts LOL so u know when u get sad nd stuff ur nose gets runny and u sniff a lot??? well like that wasn't the case for me bc the passage way from my eyes to my nose was completely blocked off,,,,, which resulted in me lookin like i was full blown cryin like every 2 seconds... like if i kept my eyes open for too long my eyes would get watery and tears would flow out LMAO ,,,, i looked like i just never stopped crying,,, but it was just my eyes were just ALWAYS WATERING sdlgjsdif damn u have no idea after the procedure i was like 'do ppl live like this??? not having to wipe tears every 0.2 sec??? oh my god,,, i am livin THE LIFE'

I find that you rarely write in Daesung's POV; just curious to know why? As a reader though, I do relate to Seunghyun more easily (maybe because we're all so thirsty for Daesung lmao). But I wish we had more stories from Daesung's POV...

No one ever asks me these kinds of questions! But that’s partly on me for never inviting asks about myself or my work… I want to sometimes, because like anyone else, I enjoy talking about the things I make, and the why of those things. Just prefer not to go asking for that kind of attention… That’s not me.

Anyway, to answer your question, this is something I’ve noticed too and have given some thought… so you’re going to get a lengthy answer, sorry. I’ll go ahead and give you the TL;DR version: though I hate to admit this, you could say I write from the perspectives of the other BB members so often (and Daesung so rarely) because I’m treating them like proxies, characters through whom I can vicariously “experience” my bias: Daesung.

Putting the rest behind a cut.

It does seem a bit strange, doesn’t it? For someone who posts so often about Daesung and dedicates so much of this blog to trying to understand him, wanting to figure out what makes him tick, I sure write a lot of fic from everyone’s POV but his. Seunghyun, Seungri, and recently Youngbae… I think the only times I’ve told the story through Daesung’s eyes was in the Carnivores series, where the narrative alternates between his POV and Seunghyun’s. And, recently, that short ToDae ficlet I wrote on a whim: Blackout Blues.

It’s even more puzzling when you consider that not only is Daesung my heavy favorite, out of everyone in BB he’s the one I identify with the most (but not in every way… we have at least a few notable differences, ways in which I can’t possibly relate). As for Seunghyun, well, I don’t actually feel that Seunghyun and I have all that much in common. Or if we do, I don’t know it yet. That I write from his perspective so often sometimes has me scratching my head in confusion. Really!

Here’s what I’ve learned though: I’ve been reading fanfic for more than 15 years now (more than half my life o m g) and I recognized a pattern long ago. Of course I like reading fics from the POV of my favorite– favorite character, favorite band member, favorite actor, etc. But what I really love most– what draws me in fastest– is reading fic about my favorite as told through the eyes of my second favorite. Because, loathe as I am to admit it, I’m probably treating that second favorite (in this case Seunghyun, and once Seungri, and most recently Youngbae) as a substitute of sorts through whom I get to experience my favorite: Daesung.

That “second favorite” is usually selected based on the nature of his interactions with my favorite, or bias, and finding him is a process. When I first took notice of Big Bang Daesung captured my interest almost immediately. There’s never really any questioning the sudden attachment; when I pick a favorite it may as well be set in stone, remaining that way for the duration of my time in the fandom, which can last for years. Like imprinting, haha.

From there, though, I’ll spend some time “shopping around” for a second fave. Someone I can live vicariously through… even if that character/person and I are nothing alike. Typically, this forms my OTP. I just need to see something meaningful, an appealing dynamic. At the very least, the basic ingredients of a relationship that I might find worth exploring. Imagination allows me to run with it from there. ToDae has given me a LOT to work with.

For the record, and because I think it’s relevant to this topic, I don’t read or write self-inserts, fics that feature the reader, or stories that pair the guys with original characters (although OCs have made appearances in my fics, they weren’t important or heavily featured). So all these scenarios, reactions, drabbles, etc that are so popular in the kpop fandom? Not my thing.

Not to put down those who read or write them (because hey, you do you) but those kinds of fics make me uncomfortable, and I’ve always felt a strong need to steer clear of them. I don’t want to be a character in the story. Me, as myself. (I also take issue with the author telling me what I’m supposed to be doing, thinking, feeling… you know? haha)

So when it comes to Big Bang, my imaginings never involve… me. I don’t fantasize about being with the guys, not even in perfectly innocent ways; I fantasize about them being with each other. I’d rather empathize with them through the good and the bad than be right there in the thick of it, a character in my own right. I need a certain degree of separation. Have always liked being on the outside looking in, you could say. A silent observer. There’s probably some weird psychology behind it all, something about intimacy issues and keeping people at an emotional arm’s length etc etc, but understanding it isn’t overly important to me at this point in my life, so… oh well!

And that is why, at least as far as I’m aware… I so rarely write in Daesung’s POV. The curse of being my bias: so much fic revolving around him, but through the filters of his bandmates’ eyes.
