Hey, if anyone reading this is a big fan of Homestuck but would like to see a more sincere and genuine and concise version of the story I can't recommend Funk McLovin's Homestuck: Alternate Universe.

A short way to describe it is that if the original Homestuck is a first draft, this is meant to be a final draft. Focused on adding intentionality to the choices Hussie made without much thought and treating the characters with a bit more respect than the source material.

It's both available through Ao3, but it's also voiced on YouTube in a similar vein to an audio book.

This little project is created by a team of really talented queer people who have a strong distaste for post-canon and wanted a better story and ending for these characters.

So what happened was, I started browsing the Goodwill auction site for a few clothes. A mist descended, and when I came back to myself I was the owner of a 1940s cast iron antique sewing machine.

You know, like you do.

“Hmm,” I thought, “I tried to buy an old machine before and it didn’t work. How will I know if this one needs fixing?” Lo and behold, looking up the make and model dropped me into a DELIGHTFUL world of circa-2011 era blogs with names like “My Sewing Machine Addiction.” They have links to manuals. They have photo tutorials. Some are, and I couldn’t possibly be more delighted about this, still active.

Five hours later, I can now explain with some amount of clarity how a mechanical sewing machine works and name a bunch of the weird little parts. (Turns out “stop motion flanged bushing” is not, in fact, a type of claymation porn. I am mildly disappointed, as I’m sure we all are.)

So yes, having a very neurotypical one over here today. Thanks for asking.

The recent food item I've been obsessively eating for the past month are onions RAW ONIONS I eat them with everything i eat them with chapatis i eat them with rice i even eat it as a sandwich ONION SANDWICH nothing but salt bread and raw onions i peel the outer layer off and bite into it like an apple i have never felt such power RAW POWER

Are there more games like Heavy Rain and Detroit Become Human that you can recommend? I'm not much of a gamer, just got myself a PS4 for distraction, but I really enjoyed those two games.

BUT YES, I do have at least one major recommendation: Until Dawn. It's a PS4 exclusive so it's perfect that you're looking for PS4 games. UD was the first of the big choice-based story games that I played (before DBH, and definitely before Heavy Rain) but it's in a similar style, where it's mainly wandering around, making choices, and then doing QTEs in action scene. Supermassive handles their QTEs and choices slightly differently from Quantic Dream, but they're similar enough that you shouldn't have much trouble getting used to them if you've tried DBH and/or HR.

Without being spoilery, I do have to say that UD is a horror game, so it's much more violent and there's graphic blood, gore, etc. It's set up to play with horror tropes, so knowing that going in is helpful in terms of understanding why the characters might be acting like idiots (but they're a lot deeper than they seem and develop in interesting ways.) Choices don't matter quite as much as DBH and HR, but they do have an impact and you're in real danger of characters dying, so there's high stakes.

If you do like UD, Supermassive has several more games and I think a lot of them are available on PS4 (House of Ashes is my favorite of their other games, and leans more toward action than horror if you're not big on horror, but opinions vary person to person on which games from Supermassive' catalog are better than others.)

Outside of Supermassive and Quantic Dream I haven't played too many story games and I'm not totally sure what's available on what platforms. However, I've heard really good things about Life is Strange, I know people like Telltale's games even though the choices aspect is generally considered to not be that strong, and I've heard Oxenfree is fantastic and I really need to play it.

this post isn't about acting or youtube stuff I just want to say I had a really fun time at the Kim Petras concert last night :)

I saw her four years ago and wow, she's really gotten better - like she was a good singer before but now she's really got the pipes!
