As far as I'm aware there's not a good catchy term for a dragon with four legs and two wings. Though I have heard them be called "European dragons" though since that form is prevalent in European folklore

thats fair. i usually call them western dragons when im trying to make a distinction. ty for the ask! i will get to the bottom of this even if i have to make my own term one day

I was gonna ask you this anyway actually bc you know a lot of artists but I just kept forgetting bc adhd is kicking my ass rn but since you wanted asks: do you know of any cool online stores or artists selling stickers? im trying to decorate my new laptop and I bought a few on etsy but I wanna get more

So I already have links compiled to read and watch Black Butler here: Resources You'll find them in the 'Sites for More Content' document on the first page of the drive, and I went through and added a bit more info in that document on how volumes vs chapters work for you and others

As for the storyline itself, I HIGHLY recommend starting with the manga first as it is very consistent and straightforward with the story! Meaning there is no extra info you need to consume to get the full story only fun little extras here and there sometimes, and the manga is considered the actual canon and what you will see most of the fandom referencing and talking about There are currently 31 volumes, 201 chapters and it is still ongoing! Meaning a new chapter releases every month (good to block the kuro spoilers tag if you dont want to see them)

The anime is still fun to watch but it is definitely way more complicated storywise and the reason for that is that the first 2 seasons were made when the manga was still in early chapters so they took notes from the creator of the various storylines and backstories that was planned and kind of created a different storyline with it, so I'll try to give you a concise rundown on what episodes follow the manga and what doesn't

The anime seasons are usually listed as follows: Season 1 - Kuroshitsuji Season 1 OVA - Kuroshitsuji OVA Season 2 - Kuroshitsuji 2 Season 2 OVAs - Kuroshitsuji 2 OVAs/Specials Season 3 - Kuroshitsuji Book of Circus Season 4 - Kuroshitsuji Book of Murder Season 5/Movie - Kuroshitsuji Book of the Atlantic

Season 1 Episodes 1-6: Follows the manga's Red Butler Arc (mostly), chapters 1-13

Season 1 Episodes 7-12: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines

Season 1 Episodes 13-15: Follows the manga's Curry Arc (mostly), chapters 15-22

Season 1 Episodes 16-24: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines

Season 1 OVA: Does not follow manga canon, original anime storylines

Season 2 episodes 1-12: Does not follow manga canon, all original anime storylines

Season 2 OVAs 1-6: Does not follow manga canon, all orginal anime storylines

Seasons 1 and 2 are considered a separate storyline/alternate universe and will be ignored for all the seasons after it, which is what confuses most people

so usually, I free style it! but ofc there's a bunch of other factors that go into it! here's what I usually think of when I'm creating my themes (not in order, please don't feel pressured to do it exactly like how I do it)!:

color scheme: OKAY. this one is the SECOND MOST important factor out of everything. sure, you can put random colors in, but the more complimentary the colors are to each other, the more visually pleasing they are to look at! this also includes your blog background/accent color. it doesn't have to match, but make it appear complimentary to your pinned post theme.

symbols: symbols are the non-emoji's in my post like these [𓂃, ♰, ໒꒱]. these also compliment your blog/tags if placed/used right! there's a bunch of symbols you can use, and I'll link them HERE & HERE. (If you do not know where to find the copy and pasted symbols, look at your clipboard if you're on Android or use the paste option as soon as you copied it on Apple <3)

images (banners/dividers): i recommend searching up dividers on tumblr IF you a) don't know how to make one OR b) you want to play it safe, but for banners, go to pinterest! REMEMBER!! your images HAS to have the same color scheme as the rest of your blog to make it visually pleasing. one good divider/banner maker i can think on the top of my head is @/cafekitsune! although I personally never used her banners/dividers, people I see/know have!

BE CREATIVE: LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN FREE !!!! this is the MOST important factor of creating themes. most people have basic themes because they don't seem to find any reason to decorate it and that's a-okay! but in your case, you want to decorate it so the best form of advice I can give you is to get into the mood/zone! listen to music or whatever that'll help you get into the groove! (I usually listen to music that aligns with the theme I'm making [doja cat theme: doja cat songs] lmaoo)

but honestly, the best way to put it is "trust the process" bc at the start it looks like ur getting nowhere until you look at the finalized version and think "wow this actually looks good"

OTHER TIPS:

DONT BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT WITH COLORS/EMOJIS/SYMBOLS!! it's usually how I end up with my themes looking the way they are lol

don't rush the process it can take hours 😭 (2-3 max, 30-1 hour min for me) what I mean is the stages you have to go through, picking what you like and don't like — eliminating until the choosen photo/color/emoji/symbol!

LOOK AT OTHER BLOGS FOR INSPO!!! I used to always look at other people's pinned post/themes and mixed it all into one original theme! but ever since 2024 started I've been free styling it on my own lmaoo. IF YOU FIND A BLOG THEME YOU RLLY LIKE AND WANT TO USE, CREDIT THE ORIGINAL USER !!!!!!! ASK IF YOU CAN USE IT AND RESPECT THEIR DECISION IF THEY SAY NO (meaning don't use them as inspo, find another one).

well, i'll get to it then. the rainbow is answered so i'll just do the other two! i will /try/ to be concise but again, no promises.

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

considering who's asked this question, i suppose the fun answer would be vibes. and i guess that encapsulates what is the most important part to me---the mood, the tone, the themes they just need to feel right to me. i personally enjoy writing more emotional, character study-esque, introspective fics which is partially from my literature background in literary analyses. don't get me wrong, plot and characters and world-building is fun and all, but i think the emotional crux of the fic is most important to me which is why my tags are less technical or setting-based, and more like 'angst' or 'hurt/comfort' which tends to deal with the emotional gravitas of the work.

i think part of this is done through figurative language, so language is important to me. i think, first and foremost, i'm a poet and that translates to my prose and my fics, which tend to be more poetic, metaphorical filled with grandeur; purple prose if you will.

so yay emotions!

and here are the final chapters of my two favorite unfinished multichaps currently (with blurbs!)

so this is chapter 8 of the office au i've been writing for f4! i'm pretty far through but im still sorting out some plot details and trying to find time to write it all!

so this is my uber-fave (and only) fiery priest fic that im hella obsessed with right now and i'm soooo close to finishing chapter 4 i just need to power through for a couple hours and i should be done.

as for my up and coming work(s), i have lots of fun things !

these two are what i like to call my sister fics. they're the folklore and evermore if you will. the sidecouple angst in two different flavours. if you've read beware the villainess, the first is like where she finally manages to get him freed, a post canon work, and the second as the title states, is canon divergence and still angsty but more adultier flavoured. more hurt.

Hey, sorry for being dead for a while. I was trying to get work done for College and a Law of Talos fanfic for a discord server I'm in. But i'm not here to talk about that. Instead I'm going to give my own opinion on the situation regarding Mcpig.

TW for mentions of Racism and other unfortunate things.

I'll admit that I am way too late to get on that train, both because I didn't want to depress myself and because I felt conflicted when I first found out about this. Nowadays, this whole situation is barely spoken about unless it's a Pizza Tower ask blog that mentions it. But even then, it's only a declaration of disassociation which you can do if you really feel like it's a deal breaker for you. People can feel however they want on Mcpig without dragging everyone down or bullying those who don't think the same about him.

So what the heck am I talking about?

Yeaaaah, you've probably seen this if you look hard enough in the Pizza Tower tag (or seen others mention this post). There was a twitter post that first revealed the discord comments but due to overexposure, the original poster deleted it. Despite that, some people were quick to denounce the game the moment they saw this come out, either by not wanting to buy the game or pirate it. While i'm not a fan of what Mcpig did, I do believe that even if his apology wasn't really the best (it's on reddit and the first link you see if you search up Pizza Tower Controversy), people are allowed to change for the better. Now whether he will be able to remove/replace the enemies (Tribe Cheese and Mr.Pinch) is a question that everyone who is still willing to enjoy the game has asked about. So far there have been no official announcement from the people who work in Tour De Pizza on the drama or if they were going to be removed but considering that there are a lot of animations in the game, I do not think it's going to be an easy fix. Not saying it's impossible but it will definitely take a while.

To be honest, this kinda feels similar to what happened on Twitter when Friday Night Funkin got popular. I don't remember everything that happened but the one thing that everyone was talking about was the creator, Ninjamuffin99 being racist in the past. This incident also affected me, but in a more emotional way. While this didn't kill my interest in FNF, it did create a period of temporary depression and grief. This was why I wanted to avoid any mentions of the drama relating to Mcpig for a while. You can see this as being cowardly, I get that, but that doesn't mean that what I saw wasn't horrible. It really is but I feel like it's possible to move on from this just like how everyone was able to forgive Ninjamuffin99 for what he did.

That being said, if you really feel like you can't enjoy the game because of stuff like this, that's perfectly fine by me. I'd feel a little disappointed but I won't make you think otherwise. As for me, i'm still going to enjoy this game and the people who make art of it. Because honestly, there is a lot of underrated and talented artists like @somecartoonisttalkshere or @grimmoirre (if you don't feel comfortable being tagged here, Grim, I can replace it with someone else). In fact, if you've made it to the bottom of this post and are feeling a little sad, here's a silly little horse to cheer you up!

i remembered i replied to an ask a bit similar to yours some years ago actually, maybe it can be helpful? (copy/paste bc link doesn't work aaa) :

im not sure to be the best person to ask, i see exposure like some kind of accident really. like, you make a drawing that may suddenly fly far away and then lots of people can see it and among them some will maybe enjoy looking it as well, etc etc! but ofc, and you probably know it, if you make fanarts, your works have higher chance to visit lots of blogs, because they are in the tags, and the person seeing your works is also already invested in the original manga/book/game/…, so it’s always super nice to see fanarts of it! That being said, it wouldn’t be interesting to draw things just bc you know they are popular or something. Draw for yourself. If you’d like to draw a fanart of this or that, then do it and enjoy it ! and if you don’t want to, do not force yourself.

tbh, i think if i have an advice for beginner artists, it would be to continue to draw, simply. exposure will come with time. There is the undeniable luck factor, and there is also the fact that, with your drawings becoming better and better, more people will come see them and share them. Make it easy for people to find your works with relevant tags on platforms you like, and either you draw only original / fanarts / …, you’ll definitely reach people who will enjoy your works. Be patient, be happy with what you draw, and work hard. if you need advices or constructive criticisms about your drawings etc, don’t hesitate to ask ! everyone is learning and every artists had to begin at some point. and yeah, i’d say that, if you’re beginner, don’t rush and think that what matters when you share your art online is the number of this or that etc. don’t mix up your works’ popularity with the value you grant them yourself. Be proud and fairly, kindly, critical about what you draw. focus on getting better, and have fun!

Draw what interests you, what makes you happy.
