The point is that Pizza Tower still has a racist, outdated stereotype of Indigenous people in the Oregano Desert level.
It even has a achievement for rain dancing around a totem pole (totem poles are a Pacific Northwest thing, not a Plains Tribe thing). They war cry at you and they throw tomahawks (because it's always tomahawks or spears).
Bellyache about the screencaps being 5 years old if you want, but the stereotype made it into the game, so he hasn't changed that much. He didn't change enough to have a shred of awareness about using a racist stereotype. And before anyone tries: that trope isn't a hallmark of Wario games or 90s animation, it's a hallmark of racism.
Even if he "doesn't" make bigoted jokes anymore (though I would consider the Tribe Cheese one such joke), he made an entire level based around that trope.
And like every other time there's an anti-Indigenous caricature in videogames or popular media, it doesn't get mentioned, or it gets glossed over because the creator went "Oopsie! That was cringe."
The exclusion of the Tribe Cheese from that salvo of screenshots undermines the entirety of it, because it's a solid example of him not having changed enough to be conscious beyond "that was unfunny," and everyone just focuses on what he said and when - without the connection to how that mindset still lingers in the final product of the game.
How I would redesign the two "Yikes" Enemies in Pizza Tower.
Ok so let us first explain the two "Yikes" Enemies in the game:
First is Tribe Cheese from the Level "Oregano Desert". We all know WHY this one is a "Yikes", it's a racist caricature of Native Americans.
Second is Mr. Pinch. Mr. Pinch is based off of Scrooge from a Christmas Carol which some may think seems like a normal thing to base a character off of... but it turns out Scrooge is based on multiple antisemitic stereotypes. So they should also get a redesign as well.
THE T.C REDESIGN IDEA (listen I do not have a name for this one)
Oregano Desert also has the first appearance of the U.F.Olive. So, why not redesign the Tribe Cheese into an olive character?
OLIVE GUY (listen I do not have a good name) is a U.F.Olive who had their machine crash in the desert. Normally used to the AC of the Machine, they became very hot. In order to Beat The Heat, they used the parts of their machine to make a motion activated sprinkler, which while it does manage to cool them off, the water also evaporates and condenses fairly quickly into the Thunderclouds currently connected to the Tribe Cheese.
If an Olive Guy sees Peppino, they will be shocked for a few reasons before throwing a Wrench at Peppino.
Peppino can leap over the sprinkler to achieve the Chef Task "Cool Off". (a lot of people forget that Tribe Cheese has a Chef Task currently tied to it. So any redesign still needs to have a way for the task to be completed)
MR. PINCH (Yeah he keeps the name)
Mr. Pinch is seen in the sewer level of the game, hanging out in a pipe. Sewers are wet. Pizza Tower already has an aesthetic similar to Cartoons. Crabs Pinch. Mr. Krabs is from a Nickelodeon Cartoon, and is fairly greedy.
Replace Mr. Pinch with a Mr. Krabs Expy. You done even need to change the name there, Mr. Pinch still fits as a name.
Hey, sorry for being dead for a while. I was trying to get work done for College and a Law of Talos fanfic for a discord server I'm in. But i'm not here to talk about that. Instead I'm going to give my own opinion on the situation regarding Mcpig.
TW for mentions of Racism and other unfortunate things.
I'll admit that I am way too late to get on that train, both because I didn't want to depress myself and because I felt conflicted when I first found out about this. Nowadays, this whole situation is barely spoken about unless it's a Pizza Tower ask blog that mentions it. But even then, it's only a declaration of disassociation which you can do if you really feel like it's a deal breaker for you. People can feel however they want on Mcpig without dragging everyone down or bullying those who don't think the same about him.
So what the heck am I talking about?
Yeaaaah, you've probably seen this if you look hard enough in the Pizza Tower tag (or seen others mention this post). There was a twitter post that first revealed the discord comments but due to overexposure, the original poster deleted it. Despite that, some people were quick to denounce the game the moment they saw this come out, either by not wanting to buy the game or pirate it. While i'm not a fan of what Mcpig did, I do believe that even if his apology wasn't really the best (it's on reddit and the first link you see if you search up Pizza Tower Controversy), people are allowed to change for the better. Now whether he will be able to remove/replace the enemies (Tribe Cheese and Mr.Pinch) is a question that everyone who is still willing to enjoy the game has asked about. So far there have been no official announcement from the people who work in Tour De Pizza on the drama or if they were going to be removed but considering that there are a lot of animations in the game, I do not think it's going to be an easy fix. Not saying it's impossible but it will definitely take a while.
To be honest, this kinda feels similar to what happened on Twitter when Friday Night Funkin got popular. I don't remember everything that happened but the one thing that everyone was talking about was the creator, Ninjamuffin99 being racist in the past. This incident also affected me, but in a more emotional way. While this didn't kill my interest in FNF, it did create a period of temporary depression and grief. This was why I wanted to avoid any mentions of the drama relating to Mcpig for a while. You can see this as being cowardly, I get that, but that doesn't mean that what I saw wasn't horrible. It really is but I feel like it's possible to move on from this just like how everyone was able to forgive Ninjamuffin99 for what he did.
That being said, if you really feel like you can't enjoy the game because of stuff like this, that's perfectly fine by me. I'd feel a little disappointed but I won't make you think otherwise. As for me, i'm still going to enjoy this game and the people who make art of it. Because honestly, there is a lot of underrated and talented artists like @somecartoonisttalkshere or @grimmoirre (if you don't feel comfortable being tagged here, Grim, I can replace it with someone else). In fact, if you've made it to the bottom of this post and are feeling a little sad, here's a silly little horse to cheer you up!
Art was done by @somecartoonisttalkshere so thank you again for doing this!! >w<
INFO for those who don't know:it was basically anime made by Kodaka. It was about different gangs that run part of japan and use baseball to decide which gang will top dog or something like that
okay look I understand that what McPig was pretty bad to said and eye rolling. I even understand not wanting to play due to the Native American stereotype even. But man you some of you are to eager to pounce to moral crusading some times or want the apology to be dramatic . Like don’t tried to shame people for playing a game about a funny pizza man trying to save his business. Also at least if even not sincere with his apology, McPig is at least being quiet for his beliefs.
also It pretty suspicious that the one making that call out post was into “age repress” and went all private went some people were call them out and being skeptic. Not to said they had good point but there attitude was pretty bratty.

Kismet has been meaning to do a final tour before Branch becomes King.
Boom of all Trolls suggests that the Kismet Tour becomes the in-person Royal Wedding Invitations performance. Combining the tour with the invitations.
AND POPPY IS SO TOTALLY ON BOARD WITH THIS PLAN! Branch too :)
So imagine with me a chartered Caterbus.....
And a invitation style show to invite the other Troll Kingdoms to the wedding.
Like this ^^^ bit it's like a stage show. Can you picture it? And they perform their Kismet songs as well as weddingy songs.
Poppy can't go because she has a Queenly and Bridely schedule. But also she thinks this would be a great opportunity for Branch to establish his own connections with the other tribes leaders.
She sends Floyd in her place, he is the Best Man after all. She trusts him with her camera with instructions of "What Would Poppy Do?"
Some random OC's thrown in there cause I believe the Kismet boys would have their own friends and family. Dot is Ablaze's recently new girlfriend that he cheesely misses during the tour. "Guys, I miss my girlfrienddddd" "Shut up we knoooowww" Also Hype has a wife, stepson and an egg on the way. Why? Coz I thought it was cute.
Scrapbook designed characters were inspired by someones picture I saw but can't find the picture again, if you're out there I love you <3
Latin has been influencing English since before English existed!
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of ways that English got vocabulary from Latin:
early Latin influence on the Germanic tribes: The Germanic tribes borrowed words from the Romans while still in continental Europe, before coming to England.
Roman occupation of England: The Celts borrowed words from the Romans when the Romans invaded England, and the Anglo-Saxons later borrowed those Latin words from the Celts.
port, tower, -chester / -caster / -cester (place name suffix), mount
Christianization of the Anglo-Saxons: Roman missionaries to England converted the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity and brought Latin with them.
Norman Conquest: The Norman French invaded England in 1066 under William the Conqueror, making Norman French the language of the state. Many words were borrowed from French, which had evolved out of Latin.
The Renaissance: The intense focus on writings from classical antiquity during the Renaissance led to the borrowing of numerous words directly from Latin.
The Scientific Revolution: The need for new technical and scientific terms led to many neoclassical compounds formed from Classical Greek and Latin elements, or new uses of Latin prefixes.
Nettles, Rhaenyra, Laena, Mysaria, and the Prize that is DAEMON TARGARYEN
Now, I'm not going to sit here and police shipping. I'm also not going to act as though better writers and thinkers long before me haven't talked about the same phenomenon of centring men in women's narratives as a way to value the women. However, as a person in this fandom, I do want to apply this thought to the shipping discourse of Daemon Targaryen because it has become exhausted.
We treat this man as though he's the prize to gain when these women are in relationships with him. In the sense that when Daemon picks these women to have a relationship with they gain a value and devalue the women he leaves behind. We see this with him going:
from Rhea and Mysaria to Laena.
He finally has a Valyrian bride who matches his spirit and can give him Valyrian children. They get along and are of equal standing.
From Laena to Rhaenyra.
He moves on, finds real happiness, finds his true family, becomes the Targaryen he was destined to be with his Targaryen bride at his side, and their Targaryen children with his real family
From Rhaenyra to Mysaria .
Rhaenyra became mournful and wasn't as she once was. Him and Mysaria just have this connection, and Rhaenyra approves.
From Rhaenyra and Mysaria to Nettles.
Daemon finally found someone he could look past himself for. The singers say they end up together. He does all of this and leaves the Rhaenyra to her death because Nettles left. He's finally ready to settle down and grow old. She saved him.
All of this is an overgeneralised hyperbole of conversations I've seen, but they always centre Daemon choosing these women to be in a relationship with as their biggest accomplishment in the narrative. Him at their side is the biggest deal, and when he leaves them, they are discarded and replaced by his new love interest.
The issue with this
Prioritising a man, this man, as the main factor in these relationships, discredit the women who exist outside of him and make it seem as though he's the only thing that adds value to them. The language being used, in short, dismisses their personhood and equates them to something he can own, discard and replace at whim, and he alone adds value to them. It's icky language especially with his game card.
Lady Rhea: wasn't even her choice. She hated him and refused to give him an heir to inherit Runestone. In the show, she makes sure he returns and kills her by insulting his sexual prowess.
Mysaria: is complicit and involved in his worst action but always ensures she pulls herself up with it. Being his courtesan made her wealthy, almost made her his wife. Then she's complicit in blood and cheese and gets herself promoted to the Lady of Whispers to the Queen, eventually putting an end to him.
Laena: CLAIMED THE LARGEST DRAGON IN THE WORLD AS A TEEN. Is quite literally the mother of the girls that survived the Dance. Her blood inherits her house's seat.
Rhaenyra: Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Had men avenge her death, and her son sat on the iron throne after her.
Nettles: created the religion that forged the most dangerous tribe in the Vale of Arryn. Claimed a wild dragon and committed alleged treason and escaped.
I'm not saying Daemon isn't important. I'm not saying he doesn't play a part. I'm saying that when we have these conversations about him and these women and the progression of his relationships with them, I hope we can reach a place where the idea that he leaves them isn't a jab or joke against one woman for the sake of the one he chooses. It's getting strange.
Women don't lose value because of a man. Ever.
This also applies to Baela and her adaptation in the show. She isn't uninteresting because she isn't a tomboy or like Daemon. They make her a political girl in the show and like Laena. That's not a loss. She's modelled after Rhaenys as well. She's just reflective of the women in her life. I'm sure she'll have a relationship to Daemon as well, but she's the Ward of Driftmark. That's quite interesting. We also have tomboys like Alysanne and Sabitha, so we aren't in a deficit by any means.
