This image right here is the perfect illustration of the difference between Yuuji and Yuuta, it almost feels like a 4th wall break.
Yuuji has been working real hard ever since he became a sorcerer, he's survived hellish situation after hellish situation, lost so many people he cared about. And he made tremendous progress.
Yuuta was born with a hereditary ridculously overpowered technique and immense amounts of cursed energy. His playground girlfriend died and that was traumatic especially that she stayed with him and hurt people on his behalf even though he didn't want her to. But once he became a sorcerer that got very quickly resolved. Yuuta miraculously learned every technique he needed in the moment to save his friends, or cure them and himself, or to win against his enemies by just overpowering them. And then he killed Kenjaku without putting any work of his own into that.
So yeah, Yuuji has worked hard and persevered and has been disrespected and ignored for it both in the story and by the fandom. Yuuta's been given everything, even techniques and page time of other characters and congratulated for it.

MAKI STABBING SUKUNA WITH HER SOUL SPLITTER
YUUTA ATE SUKUNAS 20th FINGER ?!?!?!?
bro MEGUMI HAS NO WILL TO LIVE ?!?!?!?!?
i- i’m in shambles guys pure shambles this is crazy im…. MEGUMI PLS
So many people are saying megumi is gonna start the merger but i don’t even think he cares enough at this point to do anything. everyone who he’s ever loved besides yuuji is dead, like he’s lost everyone and most of them were killed by his body. like he’s not built like yuuji where his guilt drives him to atone for his sins, he’s never been the “hero” type like yuuji is we’ve seen this in the anime and especially in the manga during the culling games. so like idk how yuuji is going to convince megumi is wake up fr fr and split from sukuna because mans has NO WILL !!!
and even if he splits i’m a little confused on how they gonna get him cause like where is his body?? is it just gonna manifest like poof ya know?? idk LOLLL but yooo megumi like his character makes me so sad :(( but i have faith !!
i’m also nervous cause yuutas domain broke BUTTT he still hasn’t called Rika and she can refill his CE so i don’t think he’s down for the count yet. but people are saying that sukuna is going to eat yuuta cause yuuta ate his final finger idk if that’s how that works BUTTT sukuna does have a history of cannibalism so…that would be a gruesome ending for my boy and i truly hope that doesn’t happen…
MAKIII FINALLYYYY !! my queen has showed up !! she’s in the fray she’s gonna get on that sukuna ass i already KNOOWWWW
i’m hype and scared for the next chapter ….

Talking more about this chapter because why not
It’s so very clear that this manga is NOT ending this year. Actually impossible unless Takaba magically solves every problem in the next 4 chapters. Gege’s editor already said like it wasn’t ending yet, but entering that phase. Hoping this phase includes more flashbacks because I’m not dropping my intense desire to see more of the Heian era, especially with the culling games and Kenjaku, Sukuna, Uraume, Tengen, Yorozu, etc. Aaaaa I’ll be so sad if nothing comes of it.
This chapter was hilarious. I’m sure there were a ton of references, but it didn’t feel that lost in translation. Kenjaku and the special grade getting the isekai treatment of getting run over (or Yusuke treatment with the other YYH reference) was ridiculous.
I liked how absurd this chapter was, but also how interesting Takaba’s technique is and how it manages to reveal a LOT about both of their characters.
Takaba’s powers involving soul resonance is satisfying, since that reads to me that, while Takaba’s humor is influencing the situation and kenjaku, their interactions are not completely disingenuous. I don’t think Kenjaku is lying at all when they think that this fight is a part of what makes the culling games worth it and imo I can’t see this fight working with any other character. They’re surprisingly compatible. Which shouldn’t be surprising knowing Takaba’s backstory now and all the tidbits we’ve gotten of Kenjaku’s motives and emotions
Sometimes it feels like I’ve read a completely different chapter when I check tags online since I’ve seen only a few people being this up at all. But there was absolutely something between Kenjaku and Takaba, right?? Genuinely, with the compliments, partnership, loneliness, feeling joy/blushing moments?? Look. I know it’s between one of the main villains and an initially gag character. But this is even more than what took people to see yuuta and maki or choso and yuki as a canon pair. But maybe these chapters completely ruined my brain or people disregard it because it’s comedic. Either way, I’m fully expecting Kenjaku to kill Takaba
Doctor and nurse kenjaku outfits were my favorites! It goes with their mad scientist trope of a character. I can’t believe there’s been endless wardrobe changes after I complained that Kenjaku always wears the same geto cosplay.
Already saw people bring this up, but the last page reminded me of the geto and gojo cover. Interested in seeing where this goes

Have you seen the new spoilers? Thoughts?
I have. Sorry this took a while to answer, I wanted to wait for a day to let things settle and to give people time to block the tags before I go into any details.
I'm really excited to see Yuuji in action in the next chapters. Choso already described him as a Demon God shortly after Shibuya and there he was just fighting against regular curses. He's continuously progressing. We never really got to see his current skills.
Tumblr media
Against Yuuta he was holding back because he was struggling with the thought if he even deserved to live and he didn't have a concrete goal beyond eating Sukuna's fingers at that either. While I don't think he could have won against Yuuta either way, it definitely resulted in Yuuji not showing all he can do. Against Higuruma he was debuffed. So now we could see why Kenjaku has such high hopes for him. His hate for Sukuna is spurring him on even more. I'm not sure he could actually kill Sukuna and because of Megumi he probably wouldn't even want to, but the fight will likely serve to push his abilities and mindset even further. It's the first time he can actually inflict bodily harm on Sukuna. Must feel pretty good. I'm also impressed by how little damage Cleave did. Yes, Megumi was holding it back a bit, but I don't think it's all him because otherwise Sukuna would have noticed earlier that something was up. This is the same technique that cut Nanako into cubes before she knew what was happening and for Yuuji to only get some cuts from it is crazy.
Speaking of Sukuna, he's not really bringing his A game. He hasn't killed a single person, not even some random people with the Nue attack (to be fair, Tokyo 1 is pretty empty). I also wonder if he wants to fight against Angel at her full power or if something else is holding him back in regards to her because she was right in his arms. He could have taken out a significant threat by just biting off her head, but instead he rips Hana's arm off, which must shock her sure, but there isn't anything keeping her from just reattaching it as far as we know. I'm also looking forward to seeing how this will change Hana's world view. Her rosey belief in fate must be deeply shaken and I doubt she will be as trusting as she was before. A harsh wake-up call to reality. And to have that happen through "Megumi" must make it even worse.
Also, bit hypocritical of Sukuna to say Kenjaku or their methods are disgusting and then turn around and spout such deep profound words as "the weak deserve to suffer". I'm sure there's some backstory to it were Sukuna started out relatively weak and only found happiness once he became strong, but that doesn't make the mindset of weak=bad, strong=good more interesting. His definition of weak and strong isn't even that nuanced. But I never expected more from his character, he's there to cause death and chaos and he's doing a good job with that. I just think it's funny that he hates Kenjaku.

JJK 216: Well, that's a lot less incest (zero incest, in fact) than what the post-leaks internet reaction led me to believe
I don't really avoid leaks or spoilers before I read the chapter over the weekend, so since Wednesday, I've been seeing everything from Reddit posts to wholeass articles on incest-related developments. I assume it's worse over on Twitter because I always assume everything is worse on Twitter.
Then I read the actual chapter and...what incest? There's not even a hint of it. Yorozu and Sukuna seem headed for a bloodbath, and though the two fighting while possessing siblings is extremely interesting in terms of what it'll do to the remnants of Megumi (and Tsumiki, maybe), I don't understand the "lovers in the bodies of siblings" reaction (I saw that caption with my own two eyes). Seriously, this is disappointing for anyone who'd be into the incest angle, and anyone who's outraged is making one hell of a stretch. The genre could take a hard left into hentai and Sukuna and Yorozu could start full-on fucking next chapter, and it still wouldn't be incest. I lost brain cells to this take.
Onto the actual content:
The bath and the protagonists
I'm very curious how long the bath took, plus all the travel time (Kenjaku's Flying Fishmobile seems... efficient at least). The ten months and ten days bit is for the original process, right? How long has Sukuna been in there? Days or just hours? I'm also dying to see the state of Megumi's soul now. I don't think it's the last we've seen of him as himself, but the longer Sukuna is in him, the more it seems to seal Megumi's ultimate fate. That said, jumping right into fighting/killing Tsumiki for good seems like it will backfire on Sukuna. I hope it will. It's been established that Megumi fights back the hardest when his loved ones are in danger, and while killing Tsumiki might destroy his soul (though it would be interesting if his reaction is unhinged rage rather than immediate grief), it also seems like the kind of thing that would make him fight back the hardest. Sukuna versus Yorozu is shaping up to be pivotal to Megumi's character arc, and I am buying popcorn as we speak.
I also wonder if the bath has taken a long enough time that Yuuji and Maki (and Takaba and...maybe the Angel, if she and Hana survived) have regrouped with Yuuta and Hakari + Kashimo. Yuuta's absence in Sendai hints at that, I hope. I don't know whether I want the next chapter to jump right into Sukuna versus Yorozu or pan back to Yuuji and co. dealing with this clusterfuck.
Sukuna's appearance
Sukuna being shown to retain Megumi's appearance on purpose also resolves my confusion about how Yorozu retained Tsumiki's looks. Guess there's more control involved in that whole process than I'd previously assumed. But Megumi's soul is clearly still kicking inside, so does complete eradication of the soul by the incarnated sorcerer forcibly reset the body? In the same vein, is preserving the original soul to some extent needed for the incarnated sorcerer to retain the vessel's appearance? The fight between Sukuna and Yorozu will be more interesting if there's some of Tsumiki left in there, rather than it just being about Megumi and his pain. It's a doomed end for her either way, I think, but at least give her a somewhat active role in this whole mess.
On a related note, I am cackling at how Yorozu apparently found the time to stop and find some makeup. Way to go, buddy. Fight and fall in style. In all seriousness, I do love how that hair and face make Yorozu look quite distinct from Tsumiki while retaining the same base design:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello <3
Also, Sukuna's line about preferring Megumi's face strikes me as particularly hilarious. One, damn, dude, you just won't let up on Yuuji, will you? Kenjaku doesn't seem happy. Hurt parental feelings, hurt mad scientist pride, or both? Who knows.
Two, fandom has been theorizing forever that Sukuna's original appearance kind of resembles Yuuji's (and what that may imply with regard to Kaori-Kenjaku's experimentation with fetus!Yuuji and Yuuji's body/bloodline overall), and from that lens, it's like Sukuna's giving himself a little impromptu makeover.
It's also interesting how his answer to Yorozu is so different from the one he gave Kenjaku. The latter is probably the more honest one, while the response to Yorozu is just Sukuna's usual battle persona, but that brings me to:
Sukuna and Kenjaku
I would read a whole arc of just these characters interacting. I low-key want a full-on flashback segment just to see more of OG Kenjaku's interactions with Sukuna (and OG Kenjaku in general).
Tumblr media
I love them, your honor. Guess Yuuji inherited his mum's irreverence for Sukuna.
Seriously though, I think this is the most casual/disrespectful anyone other than Yuuji or Gojou has acted toward Sukuna without any consequences. With Gojou, Sukuna was outclassed, and with Yuuji, he seemed to have been biding his time while getting his kicks where he could. I'm dying to see how it will end with these two. Allies or not, I don't see their agendas, whatever the fuck they are, matching up in the long run.
Overall, I'm still not a fan of Megukuna, the plot continues to be extremely compelling, Yorozu is smoking hot, and I'd sell my soul to Kenjaku with the full awareness that it'll backfire on me.

don't mind me going through your ao3 and tumblr into a new itafushi spiral. Can i ask what are your thoughts on their near future in the manga? I'm terrified of Gege and whatever his master evil mind can throw at these babies 😖
I don't mind at all!! I hope you enjoy both my blog & ao3!! ☺️💕
Meta/analysis isn't really something I attempt beyond trying to get a feel for characters in order to properly characterize them in fic, but your question piqued my interest so I re-read the last like 30ish chapters to remind myself of the overall plot & this kinda got away from me lol. But here's my guess for how the manga might play out going forward:
As a recap, here's the Culling Game's initial rules shown in ch.143:
Tumblr media
In ch.158, Megumi suggests adding 2 new rules to the culling game which could potentially save Tsumiki:
Point exchanges between players to offset Rule 8
The spending of points to allow players get out of the game if they bring a substitute non-player in their stead (however, this rule may conflict with the "long-lasting effect" of the game and is not their first priority rule to set)
Their other objective is to free Gojo from the Prison Realm. In order to do that, Tengen advises they find the reincarnated Kurusu Hana, the "Angel" sorcerer from 1,000 years ago, whose cursed technique can nullify other cursed techniques (ch. 145). Last we knew, she's on the east side of Tokyo No.2 colony.
Maki returns to the Zen'in clan to collect the cursed tools they took from Jujutsu High's warehouse (plus annihilates them, praise her), after which, she plans to join Panda. Yuuta agreed to enter a distant colony the culling game in order to scout it out.
Rule 9 is added: "Players shall have access to information on other players, such as name, points, number of rules added, and current colony". This is done by Kashimo Hajime, a reincarnated sorcerer from 400 years ago, who appears to be looking for Sukuna in Tokyo No.2 colony (ch. 158). He still has 100 points, even after adding a rule.
After our boys convince Hakari to help, he and Panda go to Tokyo No.2 colony. Of course, Yuuji and Megumi go together to Tokyo No.1 colony to hunt down Higuruma for his 100 points. They're also interested in hunting down Kashimo. They're split up upon entry; Yuuji is lead to Ikebukuro where he finds Higuruma and Rule 10 is added; Higuruma also transfers one of his points to Yuuji (ch. 167).
This is where it gets a little confusing for me. Remi lies that Higuruma is in Shinjuku in ch. 162:
Tumblr media
In ch. 163, Megumi tells Remi not to cut through Ikebukuro to get to Shinjuku (where he's been mislead to believe Higuruma is) but she insists on visiting her "base" there, where they encounter Reggie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reggie mentions in ch. 167 that they're in Tokyo No.2 colony, however, I wonder if this is a typo since the chapter titles throughout this arc have stated that they're in Tokyo No.1 colony. Assuming it is an error, and that Megumi was lead to Ikebukuro, it's possible Yuuji and Megumi may reunite sometime after the end of Megumi's battle with Reggie. (Granted, this might just be wishful thinking on my part since, as you said, Gege can be an evil mastermind haha, so it might be a while yet before he actually reunites our boys. 😣 Which kills me because they just reunited!! They are a package set, do not separate!!!)
If I'm right about the both of them being in Ikebukuro then hopefully they'll meet up sooner rather than later. They've achieved their goal of adding Rule 10 to save Tsumiki; she had roughly 7 days left to declare her participation in the game but that's all we really know about her at the moment. So I imagine that their next course of action might be one of these:
Find Tsumiki, since she'll presumably need to declare participation in order for them to exchange points with her
Go to Tokyo No.2 colony to find either Kashimo or Angel + meet up with Hakari, Panda, and Maki (if she's there)
Given the colony barriers seem to split up participants upon entry and that cell reception doesn't work inside them, I'm not sure how our boys are going to avoid being continuously separated even if they do reunite in Tokyo No.1 colony. 😅 I hope Gege will keep them together for the most part though.
I'd love to see them meet up with Tsumiki tbh. I'm curious about her character and how she'll deal with being a sorcerer, plus I want to see Megumi interact with his sister (and I want Yuuji to meet her! She's been such an impactful person in Megumi's life, just as Yuuji has, and I want them to be bffs). I also wonder whether Kashimo will seek out Yuuji to find Sukuna now that he has a way of tracking down which colony sorcerers are in (if he even knows about Yuuji being Sukuna's vessel). Not to mention, all of the students are going to be criminals in the Jujutsu Headquarters eyes for attempting to release Gojo, but I imagine their reign might eventually come to an end in much the same way the Zen'in clan's did. It's certainly going to be an interesting arc regardless!

JJK Chapter 143
Yuuta really has been on Yuuji’s side all along! Sorry for doubting you, Yuuta. I mean, I was on the fence about it most of the time, but at least I was right with my speculation last week that he steps in to help Naoya so that Naoya can tell the higher-ups that Yuuji is “dead.” And I guess Sukuna smiled ominously because Yuuji wasn’t really killed. He had me going there for a second lol
Surprisingly, we get a dream/memory of Yuuji’s parents. It seems like Yuuji’s mom, Kaori, died and then was possessed by the Brain/old Kamo Noritoshi who was able to give birth to? create? Yuuji. I’ve seen speculation that it might not be old Kamo because the forehead stitches are different. At this point, who knows, but the simplest assumption is that it’s old Kamo possessing/manipulating that body, so I’m gonna go with that until we get more info. I feel bad for Yuuji’s dad. He seems like a nice guy, but he’s in denial about Kaori.
However, I’m not sure whether to take this dream/memory of Yuuji’s as fact because there’s something weird going on with Yuuji and memories that we’ve seen previously with Todo and Choso. Gege has said that those were two different things going on, so maybe Choso is right and he and Yuuji are really related through old Kamo. But, all the memory weirdness makes me take this dream/memory with a grain of salt.
Poor Yuuji! I know he’s been carrying guilt and doubting his right to live, but to see it really spelled out this chapter. Gah!
And then this exchange:
Tumblr media
I really love this. Megumi trying to encourage Yuuji and Yuuji hating that Megumi feels he shares some of the guilt of Sukuna wiping out a bunch of people. Just, ugh my heart!
There’s a bunch of amazing ItaFushi moments in this chapter. They both want to help and protect the other so much. Yuuji wants to stay away from Megumi because he thinks he’ll bring Megumi nothing but suffering. However, Megumi wants to stick with Yuuji and is trying to support him and let him know it’s okay to live. Megumi even gives Yuuji a purpose to work towards. He asks Yuuji to save him by helping him save Tsumiki. And that really does seem to spark new life in Yuuji.
Then, we get the culling game reveal. It reminds me of other anime (I think it happened in both Inuyasha and Naruto? And probably others) where villains trap people and make them fight to the death in order to end up with the strongest person and take over their body. I’m not sure what exactly old Kamo is planning here since he already has a strong body, but it does seem like he wants to see who will be the strongest and will use them for some purpose.
Also, it’s my understanding that this game mainly applies to the people old Kamo cursed, but that other jujutsu sorcerers will be dragged into the game when they enter the barriers. Although, I don’t know if old Kamo can take away the other sorcerers’ techniques even if they’re considered players once they enter the barriers since he didn’t curse them and give them techniques in the first place. Maybe he can when they’re in the barriers, though? The rules also mention 19 days twice. So, I wonder what the significance of 19 days/the number 19 is.
Anyways, it looks like this next arc is going to focus on the culling game and saving Tsumiki. I look forward to meeting her in person. I hope she has retained at least some of her personality and isn’t totally brainwashed or something so that we can get more of a feel for her character.
Geez, so much happens in this chapter.

JJK 141 leaks/spoilers
OKAY! So I was excited by the sentence that Yuuji broke Yuuta’s sword, (thinking finally he’s got a chance) just for Yuuta to grab him from behind and stab him in the chest.
WHAT THE FUCK GEGE!?!
Like is Sukuna gonna come out?!
Does Yuuji trust Sukuna to try and even switch with him (probably not)
Where the fuck is Fushiguro?!?
Yuuta come on man! I thought you were maybe a double agent. 🤦‍♂️
Plus Choso isn’t doing so well against Naoya, please Gege don’t kill Choso off!! 🙏😭
-EDIT-
I’m honestly thinking that Sukuna will come out and we’ll have a showdown between yuuta and Sukuna! Cause yuuji can only hold him back for so long until he ‘dies’ from the chest wound so I’m guessing Sukuna will actually make an appearance in the next chapter and such.
Plus unrelated to the plot in anyway:
If Sukuna comes back and heals the chest wound will he leave the scars on Yuuji’s face with will he unintentionally heal them?
Cause I feel if Sukuna gets in control he might wanna leave them just to make sure yuuji has a reminder of the night in shibuya. Cause I feel he’s fucked up enough to do that. (Plus I honestly want yuuji to keep his scars, since he would probably feel even worse if Fushiguro and Kugisaki have scars but he doesn’t. 👀
(I still have small hopes that Kugisaki is alive even after what Gege said) 🥺

Finishing the manga. Chapters 127-144:
Chapter 127:
There is hope! Nobara has a chance at surviving this. I am pleading for her to be okay. Please!!! I’m already sad about Nanamin, don’t take Nobara too.
Chapter 128:
I feel bad for Miwa. When she referred to herself as Useless Miwa before, I assumed she was joking. Does she actually think of herself as useless?
And it looks like the Mahito fight is getting to it’s climax. If it goes on for much longer, I feel like Gojou will stay sealed after this arc.
Chapter 129:
The Mahito fight continues. Not much to say other than that it sucks to be Mahito. He’s really handicapped here.
Chapter 130:
Okay, that clap thing was really cool. Where Toudou activated his technique by clapping Mahito’s hand. Also, Mahito’s true form looks kind of not pretty.
Chapter 131:
All or nothing this chapter. Yuuji wins or he dies.
Chapter 132:
I really enjoyed the bluff from Toudou. I take it that means he really does need two hands for his technique? And how he’ll adjust after this.
Chapter 133-136:
So Mahito’s dead. And the villain is the most evil sorcerer there has been? I’m interested now. It sounds like he wants to test the world and see how to further unlock humanity’s potential through cursed energy.
And they actually lost. Gojou was stolen and they couldn’t get him out. Of course when they finally do get him out, I’m sure it will be great.
Chapter 137:
Are you kidding me??? Gojou is an accomplice, that one dude is getting the death penalty, and they don’t even have the person responsible right. Along with the fact they’re killing Yuuji again. Those guys suck.
Nice to see Yuuta again, though.
Chapter 138:
Really excited to see what Megumi does with his new status as the head of the Zenin family if he survives.
Chapter 139:
I really hope that Megumi survives, and that they can convince Yuuta they aren’t bad. I don’t think it would be that hard to convince him, he’s a good guy.
Chapter 140:
You know, I had a little more hope in Yuuta. Thought that maybe he would realize Naoya was bad. I guess he doesn’t have much reason to suspect him.
Chapter 141:
Yuuta isn’t trying to kill Yuuji this chapter. At least judging by Sukuna’s expression. If Yuuta was trying to kill him, Sukuna wouldn’t be smiling.
Chapter 142:
I didn’t expect Choso to have a kind of deep philosophical ideal on the place of a big brother and little brother and their roles to each other. I shouldn’t be surprised, given how he acts about being the brother of his siblings.
Chapter 143:
Wow, Yuuji just got executed for a second time and survived. Not many people can say it’s possible for them to die a third time. And Yuuji can say that now.
Also it looks like the next arc will be involved with Fushiguro and his sister and the game she will be forced to participate in.
Chapter 144:
I need to know if Nobara is okay. Please. That look wasn’t comforting.
And now I’m all caught up.

more spoilers for chapter 248 - rant edition
i hate that most of the fucking tag is about Gojou and Yuuta. Fuck me, one mention of Gojou's cadaver and it's like the fucking chapter was about him. Spare me.
The fucking chapter spells it to the thicker of the readers that only Yuuji has a true, thematic connection to Sukuna, and that only Yuuji manages to unsettle Sukuna, get under his skin. Sukuna talks about how he actually cares about killing Yuuji specifically for personal reasons, and it seems to be a first in his life. And people barely talk about it.
Do those people think that if Gojou came back he'd suddenly develop so much in his jujutsu that he'd stand a chance against Sukuna? Or that Yuuta who would've been killed by Kenjaku without Takaba's stellar plan and performance, stands a chance against Sukuna who's a much more dedicated fighter than Kenjaku? Yuuta who has always banked no his overwhelming strength and CT to an even more pathetic level than Gojou and never even tried to fight smart in his life? Please... come on... It's exhausting.
I hope that Sukuna sashimis Yuuta next chapter. Yuuta like Yorozu, Gojou and Kashimo lives only for outside validation, he may not want it from Sukuna unlike them, but he's still as pathetic as them. Plus Yuuta is the last special grade standing and they all need to go. All those elevated by the rotten jujutsu system need to end up in the garbage bin of history where they belong. I trust in Sukuna to clean house.
And honestly Kusakabe deserves to go for consistently doing nothing and serving as Gege's excuse to lean on commentary instead of character interactions. Okay, he did save Miwa but that I think bought him clemency up until now. And was all spent on not always correct commentary and not helping with the plans.

I think some people are giving the recent chapter flag for the wrong reasons. Like, yes Yuuta doesn't understand Takako's perspective and wrongfully brushes her off (I'm hopeful that he's at least acknowledging his priviledge and starting to do some introspection), but I don't think the narrative paints what he's doing in a positive light. Quite the opposite. Takako's words in this chapter and reference to Sukuna show that the way Yuuta fights and lives at the moment will only get him killed in the long run. He especially won't be able to kill Kenjaku with this mindset. They are all about exploiting of emotions and Yuuta has a lot of those. Takako is right to put herself first, that's just how the world of jujutsu sorcerers works.
Now Yuuta needs to understand that it's not about what he says to her, but that he's supposed to listen. Had he done that, he could've gotten the information he originally wanted to gather from her (y'know the whole reason why he joined the game). Maybe Miwa, someone he has a closer connection with, will help him understand. Similar to Takako and in contrast to Yuuta, she doesn't have a rich family history or an insanely powerful technique either. She became a sorcerer to support her family and just does her best to survive. She currently doesn't look too happy either...
This got a bit rambly, but point is, I don't think the narrative or plot sides with Yuuta in his conflict with Takako. And let's not forget that this isn't the end, it's simply a set-up for the next part of the Culling Game. Takako is clearly going to become important again.
